The Appalachian Equality Chorus invites you to kick off the holiday season with Spirits & Sparkle?a dazzling celebration filled with heart, humor, and harmony. Experience the many spirits of the season as we explore holiday memories, joys, and traditions through music. From timeless classics like White Christmas and It?s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year to festive favorites like Last Christmas and All I Want for Christmas Is You, this concert promises something for everyone. And keep your eyes open?you may even encounter a surprise spirit you wouldn?t normally expect this time of year. This season, the Chorus takes the stage with more than 150 voices under the direction of Dr. Alan Stevens, with Dr. Lindsey Cope as Assistant Director and Bleu Copas as Executive Director. Clear bags are not required. For the safety and security of all patrons, all persons and items entering the Bijou Theatre are subject to search. The Bijou Theatre reserves the right to prohibit any item, including items not listed above, from entering the premises based on any particular show request or requirement. A variety of beverages and snacks are sold at concessions and are allowed in the auditorium. We are a cashless venue.
Child Policy: For most events, children aged 2 and up will require a ticket. Children under age 2 that will not be occupying a seat do not need to purchase a ticket. Most events held at the Bijou Theatre are appropriate for all ages. If an age requirement is required, it will be noted on the event description. Contact our box office for more information.
Accessibility: The Bijou Theatre has ADA seating in the lower level only. The venue does not have an elevator to the balcony level. For more information, please call the Bijou Theatre at 865-522-0832.
Box Office: Bijou Theatre doors typically open one hour prior to showtime and tickets can be purchased at Will Call. Advance tickets can be purchased from the Tennessee Theatre Box Office during business hours
Parking: Several parking lots and on-street metered spaces are located within walking distance of the Bijou Theatre. The closest parking is a pay lot, Republic Parking, next to the venue on Cumberland. The State Street, Market Square, Dwight Kessel, and Locust Street garages are free after 6 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends.
