Neighborhood microbrewery & taproom offering European-style craft beers, plus tours.
Great beer, great company. Wonderful patio to spend the evening out on while enjoying a few brews and food from the featured food truck.
I loved the vibe at this place, super happening and the beer is great. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the no-dog policy plus not really kids friendly (see picture, kids ok as long as they don’t act like kids). Such a beautiful, big patio and it’s a brewery with food trucks, come on!!!
Great local downtown bar that has plenty of seating - on the street, outside back and inside with 39 beer/cider choices on the menu. Some beers are better than others, so recommend starting with the beer flight then taking a full glass of what tastes best. The vibe is awesome and the guys/gals behind the counter are super helpful. Cheers!
Fine tap house. You can get 8 or 16oz but they charge an extra .50 for the half pint which I think is silly. Would love for it to be an even $4.00 for us light weights.
Cozy environment with dimmed lighting and great cocktails! Several small seating areas that would be best for smaller parties of 2-4 although there is one larger area suitable for bigger groups. The bar is adorable and the specialty drinks are always exciting. Small, tailored menu that is always changing. Great food for sharing and snacking while sharing a drink in a more intimate environment. Great for dates or drinks with the girls!
We came here for an evening night cap and The Library did not disappoint! From the outside, the building comes across a bit unassuming, but the interior is sleek and modern. Great feel for a cocktail bar. We sat at the bar and had the pleasure of chatting with the owner Larry. He made us feel extremely welcomed and was a great host for us. I ordered off the cocktail menu and highly recommend the Gulp-Ivers Travel (also Larry's favorite!). The charcuterie board was fantastic to munch on while sipping cocktails and enjoying the atmosphere. This is a MUST VISIT during your trip to Fairbanks. The Library rocks!
They have prepackaged Costco food, but they do have food. The service is good. They don't seem to be busy often, so when they get busy and only have one bartender on staff, they are swamped. They have a jukebox that costs $1 per song but has anything you could want to listen to.
What a refreshing place. Not at all what it used to be very relaxing after work drink. And Tuesdays they have free tacos and they are really good. The bartenders and everyone are very friendly. It gives me the feeling of like a Cheers. But I really go there to see Blue 💙
Top dive bar in downtown Fairbanks. Google brought me here as i was in the mood for a night cap. The basement level bar has pool tables & darts-cash only! The upstairs bar is chill & you may pay by card. Logan is the best local bartender i've met in FBX. He is personable & engaging with patrons. He made a fantastic Blood Orange Old Fashioned, which are rare to come by at bars. Be frank with your taste profile & they can customize to make it work. Cozy & laid back atmosphere. The interiors & decor give an old timey & industrial vibe. As a visitor from out of state, i felt instantly welcomed! They play great music: mostly classic rock & some country. 💎🍸🫶
What a great local bar. Cocktails were great, the puppy’s saying hi to everyone was awesome especially Gamit! Met the owner and he showed us a few of the neat features of the bar.
Friendly staff, very low key down to earth. I would return. Does smell like cigarettes, just a heads up.
Pool table, darts, outdoor patio😍, cheap drinks and good company 😀 (bartenders are all great and attentive; you won't wait for a refill here.) A Local dive that you feel welcome at. Check it out.
Everyone here is super friendly, and real nice outdoor area to catch some live music!
Walking into the Boatel in Fairbanks feels like entering a parallel universe where time stopped in 1978, the jukebox plays itself, and the air is permanently seasoned with beer, cigarette ghosts, and just a hint of sewer backup. And you know what? I LOVE IT. Yes, it’s dark inside, darker than an Alaskan winter, but that’s just part of the charm. You don’t come to the Boatel for mood lighting or artisan cocktails. You come because it’s one of the last real places left in the world. It’s where grizzled locals, confused tourists, and that one guy who’s been sitting in the same stool since 1994 all coexist in gritty harmony. Sure, the bathroom smells like a municipal emergency, but where else are you gonna get a bar fight and karaoke in the same 10 minutes while a taxidermied moose silently judges you from the wall? It reminds me of the trashiest dive bar you’ve ever stepped foot in, only somehow… better. Because it’s Alaska. Because it’s honest. Because the Boatel doesn’t try to be anything it’s not… and in that weird, sticky-floored way, it ends up being everything.
The Cabin was a great experience. My girlfriend invited me to see the band Rootsy Soul. I don't normally go to the bars yet I have to say I really enjoyed the atmosphere at The Cabin. It's not only very clean but decorated to fit It's name . I sat by the fire in a comfy chair right next to the dance floor and enjoyed the music. There out side area has a feel as if your out in nature by a camp fire . They have an A line shaped stage on one end with an older bus were you can sit inside, along with a beautiful designed triangle stacked wood with a beautiful mountain scape burned on to the logs. They have picnic tables to sit on along with a cool display of snow machines one the opposite end. The atmosphere is so enchanting that you could have an event there . They also have a really good DJ that kept people out on the dance floor during the band breaks. I was able to meet the owner and one of the bar tenders and had short conversations with them . I do have to say they were both kind and welcoming. Although I'm not a drinker I will forsure go back and enjoy the atmosphere. So check out The Cabin. They have karaoke and other things going on there. You won't be disappointed! 😆
Great atmosphere the deck is awesome. The live music was phenomenal. The cabin is an outstanding place for locals and tourist. I made good friends. Sabe give us first class service with the drinks. Very polite and efficient.
"Great Atmosphere and Solid Drinks" The "I" bar in Fairbanks is a fantastic spot to hang out with friends or enjoy a night out. The atmosphere is modern and inviting, with just the right amount of energy without feeling overwhelming. The drink menu offers a good variety, and the bartenders know how to mix a great cocktail. The service was attentive and friendly, though there were moments when it felt a bit understaffed during busy hours. My only critique would be that the music was a touch loud for having conversations comfortably, but it added to the overall vibe. If you're in Fairbanks and looking for a chill yet lively place to grab a drink, the "I" bar is definitely worth a visit!
Bartender is very knowledgeable & helpful. Seems like a local joint but everyone was friendly the pool tables were easily accessible and the bathrooms were clean. Great place to stop in between meals!
It truly is the heart of the city in every sense. A very friendly barmaid and Nicky, who kindly let us use her Wi-Fi and shared excellent tourist tips. You’ll find a diverse mix of customers coming here to enjoy a warm moment, with both the barmaid and Nicky always welcoming, and attentive also to some customers in need.
Photo attached is from the summer of 1982. The place has staying power!! We had a good time there drinking and chatting with the locals. Not necessarily a cheerful place at the time, but had a very strong sense of place and lots of character… and characters!
Review based off disappointment on the pizza I used to love. Just got it tonight and crust was just off and super thin. I could hold the slice by the end and it was solid like cardboard. Used to be thicker flavorful crust. I'm not sure when that changed but it was so disappointing I won't be back. The price has gone up alot in just three years I understand for the same pizza, just not whatever this was. This was just sad
Since moving up here, this is one of our top favorite places to go to. The food is absolutely amazing and always fresh. The customer service is always top tier, super sweet, understanding and quick. Vibes? Immaculate. Loud music, good TVs, and great seating. They are pricey though - but it is worth it.
