What a totally rad spot! Headlands has done it again, and now offers another great taproom to enjoy their awesome beers. 5/5 stars for food, drinks, service, and ambience. A HUGE improvement from the Bear's Lair. Need another reason to come support this awesome business? Our bartender informed us that Headlands has donated over $130,000 to local environmental non-profits since 2022. Wow!
Great spot on campus! Brings back the magic that's been missing since Bear's Lair went away. Great spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy to order at the bar or via QR code. Excellent for groups. Lots of beer on tap + full bar and good food options.
This place is absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I just moved here from Arizona, and we’re so glad this bar is in our neighborhood. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, the atmosphere is great, and the staff are seriously awesome. We’ll definitely be regulars for as long as we’re in Berkeley. Big kudos to the team, fantastic job! Bonus points for the live music they sometimes have, which makes the experience even better.
The food here stands out! It’s Asian fusion inspired with a unique American take. Everything tasted amazing and was super filling. They have a dinning area and a bar area, both equally aesthetically-pleasing. They accommodated our 8+ people group last minute and everyone was super nice. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
📍3218 Adeline St, Berkeley, CA 94703 ✨ Foodie friends, I found another hidden gem you must add to your list Roses On Adeline Bar & Kitchen in Berkeley! 🌹 This spot has such a warm and inviting vibe, making it perfect for catching up with friends over cocktails or even hosting a private dining event. 🍷🍴 Let’s talk food because everything here is a treat. I started with their cocktails, and wow they are so well-balanced and delicious, the kind that instantly sets the mood for the night. 🍸 Then came the chocolate budino, and let me tell you… it’s pure perfection. The pistachio topping adds just the right amount of sweetness and crunch, making every bite unforgettable. 🍫✨ If you’re into bold flavors, you have to try the oyster mushroom the taste is so unique and unlike anything I’ve had before. And of course, the star of the show for me was the double smash burger 🍔🔥. Juicy, flavorful, and absolutely unforgettable. Honestly, it’s one of those dishes you’ll keep craving long after you leave. But don’t just stop there their menu is full of variety, from small plates to hearty mains, so there’s truly something for everyone. 🌟 Make sure you explore and try a little bit of everything when you visit, because this spot has so many flavors waiting to surprise you. Whether you’re looking for a cozy night out, a new foodie adventure, or a place to host a special gathering, Roses On Adeline is that perfect hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Trust me, this spot is worth it! 💯✨
A small food menu didn't disappoint with big flavors and lovely presentation. Service was great and the bar makes solid drinks. Prices were a little high ($9 for a side of sweet potato friend, $4.50 for regular) especially for portions size, but quality was good. This won't be a regular spot for food but I'd definitely come back to try again.
Polished liquor store supplying artisanal & limited-edition spirits, craft brews & wine.
I’ve never seen this open, so I can’t comment on the hours, only it’s existence. It looks like it would be pretty enjoyable when it is open, I just can’t tell you when that is. It is inside Cask’s retail store right next to the door.
Nicole has the tap room nice and fun!! Also the booze selection is great, on the shop side that is.
Had a great time at **The BreakRoom** in Berkeley! This spot has a chill vibe that makes it perfect for casual players or anyone looking to relax with friends over a game of pool. The tables are in excellent condition, and the layout of the space is well thought out, so you never feel cramped even when it's busy. The downstairs area, with its cool atmosphere, adds a unique touch. It's not just about pool either—they've got a solid selection of drinks, making it a great place to hang out even if you're not planning to play. The staff were super friendly, and the service was quick despite the crowd. Overall, it's definitely a fun, low-key spot to spend an evening. Would recommend if you're in the Berkeley area and want to shoot some pool in a welcoming environment.
Place itself is decent. It’s more for casual players. I would not recommend for serious players as most tables need refelting and the owner plays in the tournaments for free but can win YOUR money. Payouts below what is expected.
Restored 1880s lounge with New American snacks, classic drinks & happy hour deals in intimate digs.
I really want to love this place, but everything falls kinda flat. The cocktails are boring and the bar ingredients are limited. The atmosphere and furniture feels dated and worn, but not in a way that complements the beautiful building. The service is kinda slow and tuned out. The lighting is bright. The bar is small, like 5 stools, but there are lounge seats. I wish they would serve cocktails in their beautiful garden in the courtyard.
Great hidden gem! This is upstairs in the berkeley club and is open to the public. Not cheap but still reasonable prices given its a hotel bar ($15 martinis). Lots of comfy seats and friendly bar staff who gave us each our own chex mix :)
Irish standby for pints, pub grub & entertainment like open-mike nights, Celtic music jams & more.
A great little local/Irish pub with a wide selection of draft beers 🍺 and drinks 🥤. Dancing on Monday nights and other activities such as poetry nights and open mics 🎤 . Irish music on Sunday nights.
This is a great Irish pub. The employees are cheerful and friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere is fun and lively. There is plenty of seating. They have some outdoor seating too. They have dartboards. They have a live band that is really good. I highly recommend the Starry Plough.
Expansive, multi-faceted beer hall & American kitchen with live music, ping pong & outdoor seating.
This place has a cool, laid-back vibe with a spacious bar and restaurant area, plus a separate room for live shows. They also have a sweet outdoor patio. Definitely recommend this spot.
It's a large venue with full bar and restaurant with many screens and projectors around. Great for sport watching, groups, casual hangouts and meetups. There are big runs for private parties with screen in the back. Not kids friendly on busy game days but could still be nice on regular days! Service is great with many responsive attentive staff. Foods are pretty good American style. I'd recommend burger, fries, sausage, tri-tips sandwich, pulled pork, etc pretty much everything is good after couple pitcher of good beer 🍻😀
A 2-story venue & beer garden that serves up wood-fired pizzas plus handcrafted beers & ales.
We’ve been coming here for years and always leave happy. The outdoor seating is beautiful, with heaters to keep you warm, and the atmosphere is lively. They recently added a Garden Menu, we tried the lamb and it was delicious. I’m not usually into veggie pizzas, but here they’re really good. We’ve tried most of the pizzas and almost all have been great. The wings are tasty, and the dips are good but small in size. It’s a seat-yourself place, so you may need to wait and watch for a free table. The salads are fresh, the menu is simple, the staff is friendly. They often have live music, sometimes a bit loud for me, but other times perfect. Great spot for good pizza, a nice outdoor space, and a fun night out.
Jupiter is an absolute fantastic place to grab a pizza, either to go or for dining in in which you can be seated inside as well as outside in their 2-story restaurant/ beer garden. The beer garden is delightful and nice to look at in the evening with the decorated lights and ambience. The staff were very friendly and very helpful, Ones you can have full on conversations with and get an honest opinion. I live in Southern California so when I tried this place, I made sure to go again before heading back. Delicious. Good toppings to sauce to crust ratios. It wasn’t super thick, light and airy. They have appetizers, salads, and build your own pizzas as well as specialty ones, which were very good. I’ve tried at least three different ones and none of them disappointed me. You can go halves on pizzas when it comes to toppings if you want to share or try more than one. They have alcohol, parking can be limited because of the area it’s in so just be aware, but there are parking garages. If you haven’t tried this spot, a lot of the reviews here are good for a reason.
I found this spot on Google because I really wanted a tasty lunch and drink, but I wanted to try somewhere different. It was about 4 pm when I arrived and it was not packed. All patrons were at the bar, so I sat there as well. The bartender, Hayley, greeted me warmly. They have Happy Hour from 2 pm to 5 pm daily. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger meal and it came with fries. I ordered that from the regular menu. It was $17 (I think) Hayley reccomended the Blackberry margarita when I asked what flavors could she make the marg. Oh.. she also Guava was good too. I ordered that from the Happy Hour menu. It was $10 with $1 extra for the flavor. They make their burgers medium well automatically. They have a special sauce that taste like tikki sauce. I got it in the side because I was unsure if I would like it. However, I wound up putting it on my burger lol. They made my bacon crispy, not burnt. Exactly how I requested for it. The fries were good too. The drink...soooo yummy. I had 2 lol. Hayley was very accomodating, friendly and warm. She is in the pics. I told her that I will come back when she is working, so I can bring my wife because they have $1 oysters and she would love that. Also, I think she would like the overall vibe and tasty drinks. I reccomend this spot for anyone looking for a cute and quaint spot to eat good food and get their libation on. They have a full bar and other food items in their menu for all types of patrons.
Their drink menu is SO fun! There are honestly so many good selections that you'll want one of each (pls be responsible). The bartenders are friendly, speedy, and artists creating these yummy cocktails. My favorites were Caught in the Riptide and The Baltic Pearl. Their hamburgers looked really good but we just got a side of fries extra crispy. Amazing compliment to the drinks with an ambiance like you're by the water. So looking forward to being back one day!

Overall, this spot is a gem in Barkley! The combination of great food, a fantastic sports atmosphere, and excellent service makes Yeti Sports Bar and Restaurant a go-to destination. Highly recommended!
Very cool sports bar. High ceilings, a lot of TVs, cool lights. I had asked about a beer on draft, and the bartender couldn’t tell me anything more about the beer other than that it was on draft, that was unfortunate. so I guess research your beers before you order. Also the people who come here for karaoke are VERY GOOD so if you’re into that, you’ll be super pleased. I’m pretty sure some of them are professional singers?
Low-key neighborhood watering hole featuring an extensive selection of whiskey, plus sports on TV.
I really love this bar! They have 4 different indoor and outdoor areas perfect for any occasion! Happy hour is everyday 3pm to 6pm! They have drinks that come with characters which I love!
Terrence was the absolute best bartender, the drinks were perfect, and the vibe there was great. Wish I lived in the bay just to hang at this bar. 10/10
Stylish restaurant & bar serving Indian street food cooked in a tandoor oven, plus beer & cocktails.
This is my first time here. This place is super cool and a must stop if you are just visiting. There is a sneaky back room with electronic self serve for beer. I had the chicken korma and it was good. The portion size was fantastic especially for the price. I would return.
Sorry I gotta do this. Some of the best Indian food I have ever had, but you have to wait multiple hours to get fed. They are prompt to let you in, but it’ll be an hour for the drink menu, 20 minutes to the drink, maybe you order food, and then in maybe 90 minutes you get it. So incredibly annoying. If you need to hire folks, please do that (the prices are high enough). It’s one thing to see an overstaffed place where people actually acknowledge you, but to be totally ignored for an hour is not okay.
Dimly lit lounge & happy-hour fave serves rotating craft beers, specialty cocktails & light bites.
My favorite bar in Berkeley. They have solid cocktails, good food, and a fantastic neighborhood vibe. I always enjoyed my time here.
Best Margharita during our vacation in California! Great snacks, friendly service and other guests. Highly recommend
DJs spin a variety of tunes, from funk to garage rock, in this unassuming hangout with a patio.
A great local tavern with a pleasant outdoor area. Friendly staff.
The neighborhood is complete again after a 4+ year hiatus. On soft opening day, it was busy but service was fast and bathrooms are as always…scary but clean. Bonus: 4 new bathrooms outside. Patio vibe is still top notch, friendly share picnic tables, other people’s puppies. My favorite bar in the Bay.
A casual, convivial tavern for American eats, wine & beer served in spacious indoor & outdoor digs.
Cool inviting atmosphere right at the entrance. Fresh contemporary decor with high ceilings and lots of seating spaces indoors and outdoors. We ordered chicken nachos and it came loaded with chicken and every ingredient possible on this dish. The dish was enough for 3-4 people when they’re very hungry! It’s a huge plate. Next door Mezzo that’s a sandwich shop is connected from the inside. Happy cooks make great food, especially when the servers are happy too. I love this place. It’s my first time here and I’m certainly coming back.
Great bar with good food and drinks selection. Definitely a great place to watch the game as well. The cauliflower wings are top notch.
Bi-level cocktail bar & lounge with craft drinks, a variety of seating options & vintage-chic decor.
My friend and I were only in town for a couple days, but we ended up here both nights! What a quirky bar! The clientele was diverse, the music was good (and low so we could talk) and the drinks were phenomenal. They were so creative and well made that we had a terrible time deciding what to have. I wish this was my local, but I guess that means I’ll have to come back for a visit!
Excellent craft cocktails. Impressive balance in the drinks and the bartender is extremely knowledgeable.
Students & professors alike head to this alehouse for its beers brewed on-site & bar food.
Fun atmosphere and good service, but unquestionably the worst burger I’ve ever had. Ordered the double smash burger and, honestly, I started laughing when it arrived and definitely didn’t stop after the first bite. It was really nothing but a thin rubbery and tasteless piece of, well, I’m not even sure what I was eating. Just awful. Go for the atmosphere, but eat before you go.
Since moving back to the Bay and landing here in Berkeley, Triple Rock has become one of my second homes. The vibe, people, venue, food are amazing. I always leave this place in a better mood than I came in with. Def hit this spot, house brewed beer selection so bomb. The grub bomb too. Favorite burger for me is the Mesa. They got mad love for my puppers Cookie too. They #showlovestackblessings Most def visit and come back again!
On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, solo rooms are twice as expensive. Karaoke machines often make awful interference. Looomg waiting time (1 hour) to get a room during peak hours. Still, nice place to hang out and have some fun. Oh, and the bathroom is NASTY.
Haven’t been to a karaoke bar in years. I went with friends after leaving the bar next door. The service was prompt and staff were friendly. A bit of a learning curve when first selecting songs, but you’ll definitely pick it up soon enough. Not sure was the price was, but there were nine people in our party with plenty of seats available. I’ll definitely be back again.
We found it on line. I think someone watched the food ch , and said I can do that. No you can't. The small ribs what animal did they come from ?The mac and cheese would have been better from the box. The place is cute , but I felt like we paid for the neighborhood not the food.
This is an amazing restaurant with the best BBQ meats and large variety of choices of locally sourced drinks! Everything is cooked to perfection with delicious and fresh house made sauces. Highly recommended for anyone to come try it and you will very likely come back again! The atmosphere is very good with nice lighting and relaxing great background music. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Spacious space can host small and big parties. Will be our top choice for BBQ and nice drinks in town for sure! Don’t miss out on this incredible restaurant!
German-inspired beer hall for tap brews at a lively bar, plus sausages, pretzels & other snacks.
Great atmosphere but rude workers. Bald bartender on the bottom floor is more suited for a fine dining job versus a college bar based on his attitude. All because one of my friends wouldn’t give her number to him! Can’t recommend less.
It’s a decent bar, just nothing too special though.
Quirky neighborhood pub with old-school vibe serving American comfort food, beer, wine & cocktails.
Well I bartend here, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday closing shifts. It’s a dope dive bar in the heart of Berkeley, locals cool af, staff cooler, slide thru
Terribly run, old and not up kept. The toilets are either not working or the doors does t close. It's hot and stuffy. Make it worst it's downtown area so hard to find parking.
Relaxed hangout matches local-sourced pizza with craft drafts, sports on TV & music & trivia nights.
Bobby G's looks like a casual fun place to have a meal with friends and family. The menu is pretty basic Italian foods you would expect at a casual dining restaurant. It has tv's around to watch a game and enjoy your food. For me, the food was just ok. I did not really enjoy my food. I ordered the chicken Parmigiana, stuffed breadsticks, and the Ham & Gruyere Panini. The best out of the 3 was the panini. It had thick slices of ham and crisp bread. It was a little dry and could have used more of the garlic aioli. The Chicken Parmigiana looked great with a good sized cutlet but it just lacked in flavor. As for the breadsticks, it looked great but once again lacked in flavor. I love stuffed breadsticks or stuffed crust but this was just bad. It was too much bread versus stuffing and the cheese had no flavor. TBH, Pizza Hut's stuffed crust was far superior to what I ordered here. It also did not help that this was the last to be served to us despite it being a "starter." I asked about it after having been served the main dishes and although they said that it sometimes takes a while, I frankly think that they simply forgot. If the STARTER takes that long, first they should inform the customer upon ordering AND they should perhaps ask if they want their main courses first AND they should perhaps not list it as a STARTER. The staff were all very friendly but just lacking in service. No one checks on you nor provide refills on drinks. It was more self service in that I had to repeatedly go up to the bar for help. Overall, the food was barely ok and the non-existent service, I would not come back here.
Love this place for vegan pizza before shows at the Greek! Or for any other time. Great service, above and beyond. The staff has been so friendly and helpful Everytime. We rearranged the tables slightly last time for a party, and the staff was supportive. Thanks for making great vegan pizza 🍕 too!
If you’re in the market for amazing 360 degree views of Berkeley and the East Bay then this is the place! Great atmosphere for sips and nibbles. Despite trying going many times, I’ve only tried a couple of appetizers and wouldn’t go for the food. I’m not a beer guy, but do enjoy a cocktail. The cocktails here are a solid rating of “good”. Not the best in the East Bay, but the views certainly make up for it.
I went on a Saturday at 4:30, and it was so so fun!! Iloved the vibes, the fire pit was amazing and I loved seeing the views change from day to sunset to night. Such a great rooftop bar overlooking Berkeley and even can see Mount Tam in the distance!!! There is a nice inside area too if the outside is too crowded. There was a live DJ as well I noticed on the inside as I was going to the bathroom. Mike was our waiter and he was so attentive and nice!Service was so fast and friendly. He answered our questions about what dishes/drinks to have and was so helpful! K now on to the food & drinks. Everything was so on point!!! Brussel sprouts with chopped peanuts on them were incredible, truffle parm fries were so good and such a good portion size, smash burger and fried chicken sandwich were both so incredibly good. I would repeat that whole line up again the next time I go!! Every drink was amazing. They make their own ginger beer, how cool is that!!! The September pineapple drink was like pineapple dole whip in drink form. Nothing was too sweet, all good ratios of everything!!
Amazing food. Love all the vegan options. Especially vegan sauces, that's always a hard find. Nice and spacious. Great atmosphere. They have games and a full club situation downstairs. Highly suggest for a quick slice or a late night. They make everything fresh in house. The chef takes a lot of pride in his work, I was able to chat with him during a sample give away day. Everything is made from scratch. They bread their chicken in house. Really delicious, and prideful food. Not necessarily the cheapest place on the block, but definitely the most delicious and deliberate. Absolutely worth the price, and it's not expensive, it's just in comparison. This is my go to spot every time I'm in the area. And close to cheap parking garage
We decided to try this new place for lunch. We arrived around 2pm and the place was empty, which is expected since people are still finding out about it. You can order on the kiosks or at the register. The workers were very nice and took care of all our needs. We decided to sit outside in the back as the music was really loud inside and we had to yell to talk to each other. As far as the food goes, everything was ready relatively quickly. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, the shroom burger and two cokes. Everything tasted good! I think this place is gonna be a hit for the night life as there was a full bar upstairs as well as lounge seating, neon signs, and possibly a dance floor downstairs. I’m excited to see this place get traction!
Thin-crust, New York-style pies & Indian small bites served in a casual, warrior-themed locale.
I went to tap in last night had a great time, food was amazing but when I woke up this morning my card was charged twice. 2 different transaction amounts leaving my card negative. I've been trying to call the lounge for the last hour and no one is answering. They keep hanging the calls up.
Since the place is kind small, the seating is communal (it can get tight). There were a few fruit flys when we first walked up to the taps. (I have to be honest) However the atmosphere was still smooth it was great big portion of chicken / fries and they were very tasty. I definitely would be back. My video i didn't save so I'll post pictures after my next visit.
Drinks & casual grub from a bi-level college staple with a popular happy hour, karaoke nights & DJs.
Regular since 2017. Terrible service by the server serving on the floor this weekend (5/16-17/2025). Train her better Kips! Seemed like we were invisible to her. Even after 60+% in tips day 1 same attitude day 2, shocking!!!
This place is not for the girls. The men’s restroom is your run of the mill multi-stall, but the women’s restroom is just a single-use bathroom that feels like and after thought, was basically hidden, and had a significant queue (of the few women that were there). Why would you have a single-use restroom for women when our queues are already typically longer? Vibes = so off.
