If you're looking for a modern twist on the classic dive bar, this spot hits all the right notes. The vibe is laid-back and unpretentious, but with just enough polish to feel fresh. The service is incredibly friendly — the kind of place where the bartenders remember your name and your drink. Speaking of drinks, they’re well crafted, tasty, and priced right. Whether you're sipping a craft cocktail or sticking with a cold beer, you're getting serious bang for your buck. It's the perfect mix of old-school charm and updated comfort — a new favorite for sure.
Rec Room has been open for almost 5 years?? This is truly a hidden gem in Fresno. Great service, amazing cocktails, loving the community aspect of this place. Check it out
Laura is best bartender hands down. She dresses up like PennyWise on Helloween to scare the bacheezus out of me !
Fun environment, hot bar tender and an even hotter owner, my name is Jason and I just met Nikki last night, all I can say is amazing
I decided to stop by since a friend suggested I check it out. My bartender was Neil and he’s amazing! His piña colada and dirty martini are to die for!!:) I’m so glad I went, Everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive, always checking in to see how I was feeling and what I thought of the place. The ambience was lively, welcoming, and beautifully designed, and the drinks were a 10/10. What really stood out is how personalized the experience was. The bartenders actually ask about your preferences and craft drinks tailored just for you. It felt so genuine and engaging, and I left in such a great mood. I went alone and felt completely comfortable the whole time and had lots of fun. Definitely planning to come back soon! I Definitely suggest to make a reservation, especially if you want to sit at the bar!!:)
My first time there in the Fulton area at night. We were invited in to have a look by a great host Owen. The atmosphere was so relaxing and service was awesome. Watching the mixologist behind the bar is like watching an amazing show. So classy in all they do. We definitely want to make a return Cheers 🍸
Love this bar. Best kept secret and coldest beer in Fresno
Been there once but I genuinely liked the place. I walked in, got served right away and just hung out until I was ready to go. From first glance, the place seems like a nice hangout spot to come with a few friends. It was late when I went but the people in there were still having a nice time. Randy was pretty nice too. I walked in and asked what they had, bro straight up said “beer” and I thought that was pretty funny. All in all, I’d come back. Overall, prices were good, atmosphere seemed good, and the bartender seemed nice.
Sara’s Sangria on soccer Sunday. What a GREAT addition to the beer and wine menu. It’s cool in here and not too crowded. It’s nice to have a pub in the neighborhood. FYI beer and wine only. No food.
Advertised cocktails and cigars, but did not have either. Nice Irish Pub otherwise. Staff was very friendly. Nice selection of Import beers!
This a great beer place with many local and non local beers on tap. Friendly staff. And they just added in cocktails with a bartender! Live music too. Nothing too fancy buy clean and nice. Note that finding it the first time seemed strange in the industry area and through a fence gate. Been here a few times and now can satisfy those non beer drinkers with their full bar. Nice hang out with bunch of sports TVs and outside patio (when it's not so hot)
🌍🎃👻Ordered food twice, and got a few drinks, service was respectful and swift... From drinks to food everything was on point! A great choice for me to end phase three of the SPICY MEME HORROR SHOW 🔥, a deserving establishment and a very respectful staff. It was a nice treat to see MAX HEADROOM TRIBUTE BAND, while I was there... Place was lit up.👻🎃🌍
This is a great cocktail bar. Experienced and passionate barmen, good ambiance and great but subtle music.
Best cocktail Bar in Fresno, hands down. The bar tenders here are creative and knowledgeable. My wife ordered a random drink she found on the internet and the bar tender was able to recreate it without a recipes guide and it was perfect!
Solid tap room with good selection of beers, cool people, comfortable industrial environment, and a sense of humor. Pros: Pliny The Elder and other solid regional players show off on the beer list. Priced fairly too. Dark/cozy lighting. Lots of TVs for sports viewing. Table games and vintage console games are available plus and there’s a lounge area in the back dedicated to Nick Effing Cage (wooo!). No kitchen but they have connections with the other restaurants in the area and you can easily order pizza, etc on your tab. Cons: no Wi-Fi. I know, I know, but it’s about thhe only fault I could find in my first visit here. Definitely will be coming back.
Fantastic neighborhood tap room with a great selection and friendly atmosphere. There are also fun activities and they are family friendly and pet friendly! Give them a shot if you haven't yet.
Sports bar with lively atmosphere & raved-about tri-tip steak sandwich served with house BBQ sauce.
I love the strong sports spirit when I walk in the restaurant. Open bar area and kitchen is open too. The staff are great and super friendly. Food was great and fast service. Price was reasonable, portions were big. I like the spicy wings and the staff recommended the burger and salad which was good too. Overall I’d come regularly if I live here.
Great BBQ and prices are just as good as anywhere else but the barbecue is awesome ribs pork chicken. They also have shrimp which is very delicious.
Welcome to a real life, Cheers! This place is a little hidden jem. Open, breezy, and clean, with a quiet luxury vibe. Bartender, Victoria was great, and she knew how to make a good drink. Sam, the owner, is friendly as heck. Carl, a regular, was welcoming and just wants to say Hi. Great atmosphere, great drinks, and yummy food.
I had a good time with my family at the banquet hall. We were all there for a wedding reception. The servers were great, the food was good, albeit a bit more salt than I'd like, the bread they served was delicious and I ate too much of it. They even cut the cake up for us, so none of us non professionals mucked it up. The door separating the bar from the banquet hall is just a sliding door I believe and that allows quite a bit of sound to travel back and forth. The bathrooms were spacious and clean. I thoroughly enjoyed myself here.
Such a fun experience!! The owner of the speakeasy is actually who takes you through the introduction to the bar and is your host as well. He brings his dog to work, we love that. Lots of history and fun things to look at. Very unique drinks and the bartender was awesome. Only $12/drink!! I can see why it’s one of the top speakeasies in the US!
Thanks for the amazing service Cookie! We stopped by Friday night for drinks and a tour. Cookie was knowledgeable and attentive and very welcoming! The bar tender was on top of everything and made our experience even better. Thank you guys for a great date night!
45 beers on tap & a lineup of live music in dark, industrial digs with an edgy vibe & patio seats.
I've enjoyed every time I've been! Staff is super friendly. Vibes and brews are superb. Fun ambiance. Huge drink menu so there's something for everyone. Last time I got a pink guava sour and I was delighted and intrigued.
Super fun bar. There is always an event happening. Fun people, too. Come to this bar if you need a fun time and good beer.
I recently visited Modernist Craft Cocktail Bar in Fresno, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. The dim lighting and artistic design of the space really created a relaxed, chill atmosphere that set the perfect tone for a night out. I loved how they crafted such an immersive experience for their customers. The drinks were absolutely delicious and incredibly creative. The cocktail list was extensive, and I was thrilled to discover they have additional menus based on the type of spirit you prefer. As a rum lover, I couldn’t believe how many unique rum cocktails they offered! I’m already excited to go back and try more. The only downside—if you can call it that—was the noise level. There was a larger group in the back of the bar, and the space is pretty small, so it got unexpectedly loud. The lively chatter didn't quite match the vibe, which seemed to be more about enjoying a calm, in-depth conversation over a craft cocktail. My group of three had to yell to hear each other, even though we were sitting right next to one another. It made it a bit uncomfortable, and we ended up not talking much because it was hard to hear over the noise. Despite that, I still can’t wait to return and hopefully experience a quieter atmosphere next time!
This place is what I consider the pinnacle of cocktails in Fresno. I've been a few times and I've been pleasantly surprised every time. I consider myself a drink enthusiast and wow, they just seem to do everything right. Also, extremely clear ice. 👏👏👏
I recently had a disappointing experience with a bartender named Kathy. Unfortunately, she appeared to lack basic bartending skills and prioritized serving people she seemed to know, while others — including myself — had to wait several minutes to be acknowledged. When I tried to order a beer, she was rude and dismissive. When I asked for a AMF, She didn’t know how to make the drink, which added to service delays. When I requested my tab, it took her about 10 minutes to provide it. While I’ve came in other bartenders they were friendly and attentive, I would avoid visiting if Kathy is working, I went on Sunday
First time there. People were friendly. Bar was very clean. Bartender was fantastic. Would go again
Relaxed lounge serving wine & craft cocktails in a stylish space with regular live music.
I was in town for Labor day weekend, so my friends told me about Lucy's Lounge. We decided to go out on Saturday, to my surprise the food, music was amazing. It is a very inviting, friendly place. Most importantly the service was beyond amazing, our server was Lucy and she keep the drinks coming and is very friendly and her personality is top notch. By the time we were heading out she even wished me safe travels back home. Because of her service alone I will definitely beck back in February when I'm in town again to say hi to her and enjoy the atmosphere.
What a beautiful place! Delicious drinks and amazing staff. Shout out to Robbie! Bennigans for life💚
No-frills neighborhood bar keeps it simple with a variety of beers on tap, pool & classic bar food.
The person playing music is a vibe , the food was okay , I’m Mexican myself so I know what real authentic Mexican food taste like , food 5/10 but evrything else was a vibe ☺️
I used to go here in the 80's. Old school beer bar with great quesadillas. Craft beer on tap, always something good. Can be very noisy in the evening. But I go here for lunch when I come to town.
This little bar is so cool and the atmosphere is so chill. Great vibes and decor. The drinks are also just as delicious and have been carefully crafted by the different bartenders. These drinks are not your usuals and it’s so worth it
Beautifully decorated and wonderful drinks. The music was amazing and wasn't so loud you couldn't have a conversation. The venue is well staged and made for music. I will be returning. Six month update: I have continued to go to this bar and am never disappointed. They make amazing use of their stage and invite live local music to play. The music is great and diverse. Staff has gotten even better at service and is prompt and well trained. Still recommend giving them a shot if you haven't. Very nice to see something "off the beaten path" in the Tower district.
Compact theater for up close & personal musical performances by local & indie artists.
Great venue for live music. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, great sound system. Always a good time!!
Had an awesome time here. Everyone was friendly. Clean bathrooms. Upstairs wasn't open so it was a little small. A lot of tables. Space for dancing. Very very small smoking area outside. I mean very small! Lol. We went and saw the band Failure By Proxy from Sacramento. Drove 2 1/2 hours down here to see them and The Big Elk Band. Was not sorry. All sounded great. Fun night!
Did not have food...next time, but atmosphere is very cool and shuffleboard was working. Word of caution. The line to order beer kits long very fast. I recommend double-fisting and buying two drinks at a time.
Good place for a beer, lots of options, a live band was playing this Saturday not sure if that is a regular thing but it was nice to see. A few game options, Seating was slightly difficult to find when busy,
Highly professional and courteous. Love how easy they made it.
The problem is I have been going there with my mother for a very long time now I have a son that's disabled and the people that work there seem to think it's okay to park next to the handicap spot and block the the ramp everytime Igo I can barely go by in my son wheelchair there is plenty of parking available And I am sure this is happening to other disabled people how selfish and inconsiderate of these people to keep doing this sometimes it is completely block so we leave how can we go inside and have a drink knowing you upset the bartender and have everyone look like you did something wrong my son would be so happy if he could walk How would you feel if you couldn't
Steak special is crazy amazing, bartender is one of the best - great attitude, service, taste in music and singing bound voice, atmosphere and other customers were welcoming and fun. A great hole in the wall worth visiting
First time going to this bar. Met the owner and boyfriend. Both of them were delightful! Had a great conversation with them. The atmosphere was really good. Drinks were great and reasonably priced. Its a small bar but thats what made it great. Mostly middle aged folks which is nice cuz who want to hangout with annoying college kids.
Medium-sized music club hosts live acts, DJs, salsa & bachata dance nights, burlesque & more.
Great spot for love music, feels way more personal with the artists. Tickets can be sold at the door and you get in quick. Bar is easily accessible with decent prices. Highly recommended, check out Vienna Vienna.
Unfortunately, on the night of a show I bought tickets for my boyfriend and me to celebrate our anniversary, we had THE most terrible experience with security. We made the mistake of briefly sharing the single-stall men’s restroom when there was no line. Not even two minutes in, a security guard aggressively knocked, entered, and was unnecessarily rude and hostile toward us. Instead of handling the situation with professionalism, he cursed at us and spoke in a way that was completely uncalled for. We weren’t given a chance to speak or explain; instead, the worst was assumed, and we were kicked out. I’ve never encountered that level of disrespect from staff anywhere—police have treated me with more courtesy. I understand we made a mistake, and we were ready to be reasonable and apologize, but the way it was handled ruined the night. I bought these tickets for a special occasion, and instead it ended with us being kicked out. I’d understand if we were belligerent or difficult, but this was a complete and total surprise, we were not about to defy- the security guard looked like jar jar binks. Easy to spot- thanks for ruining my experience and perception of Strummers. Not to mention I’ve been going to strummers over the course of 5 years and have never once been kicked out.
This is definitely a dive bar. Great hang out place to get beer and chat. A place to be. Plus it's very inexpensive which is fantastic. We ordered three beers and two appetizers and paid under $35 with tip! They have outdoor seating. The inside is small. The place was pretty busy for a Tuesday afternoon, but everyone had a place to sit. They do not accept reservations, but they aren't really needed.
I've been here before many times. Service is usually ok. Main reasons I eat here is the food and drinks. And of course the pricing is decent. This visit was during lunch with a friend. We were greeted by Abby who was at the bar and seemed like the only one working on a Thursday at noon. She was great! We ordered tempura green beans, one of my favorites at The Lincoln. Then we ordered more food and we let her know we were in a rush due to lunch. Abby had us in and out the quickest I've experienced there. She even brought a box in case we didn't finish our food. Hopefully Abby is there on our next visit.
High-end sports-bar chain with a huge menu of New American fare & an extensive list of draft beers.
I had such a great experience at Yard House! Everything was perfect, but what stood out the most was the amazing service. The staff was incredibly attentive — at one point, three bartenders came over to make sure all of our requests were taken care of right away. The food was just as impressive. The Poke Nachos here were the best I’ve ever had — so fresh, with the oil tasting perfectly light and clean. I also tried the Garlic Noodles, which were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
This is a great restaurant and it is not very far from the Fresno Yosemite International Airport. I actually recommend the margherita pizza. It is done very well here. My wife really enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup. Cool spot. Cool staff.
Airy, brick-walled tavern featuring its own small-batch brews, burgers & New American bar bites.
Great First Experience at Mad Duck Stopped in for the first time on a Thursday evening and had a great experience. The menu was smaller than expected, but the quality made up for it. We started with the calamari appetizer—crispy, well-seasoned, and paired with flavorful dipping sauces. Easily one of the highlights of the meal. I ordered the steak salad and was genuinely impressed. The dressing had a nice tang, the greens were fresh, and the bold flavor of the blue cheese complemented the tender steak beautifully. The other entrée at our table was the Goat Cheese & Bacon Burger, which got high praise for its rich and savory flavor profile. The Citra beer was easy-drinking and smooth, with a clean flavor that paired well with the food. Refreshing without being too heavy. Service was excellent—our server, Jesse, was intuitive to our needs and stayed attentive throughout the evening without hovering. All in all, solid food, great drinks, and welcoming service. I’d definitely go back.
Great spot to get burgers, appetizers are huge portions and staff is always nice. They have nice beer on tap so if thats your vibe you should check it out!
Straightforward bar with TVs & a subtle sports theme offering chicken wings & burgers.
Their food here was really good! The wings, the burger and the chicken strips were fire! And our server? She was awesome, protect Susie at all costs lol not too many servers like her around, really helpful super patient and sweet. Thanks! 🙏🙏
Great little sports bar. Good drinks. Good service and good chicken.
Food was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was great. Drinks were great very strong so worth the money.
I recently checked out the Field House for some sports events and shared bites and was happy I did. The service was super nice and they were happy to throw on the games we wanted to watch. I enjoyed the potato bites with bacon and the chicken fries we ordered. They had a great selection of drinks and they even had audio for the games we were watching. Overall it’s a great sports bar with plenty of TVs and even some small private rooms if you wanted to book them out.
Great family owned bar! Great place to play pool at or just hang out to watch the football games!
The owner, Jose, keeps the place super clean. Service is quick and the drinks R made right and if not...it is remade. Pool tables...also has occasional potlucks 😃
Beer, American comfort food draw patrons to this relaxed tavern with sports on TV.
My fiancé Vicky and I have been loyal customers of Press Box Sports Grill for an incredible six years. It's our favorite spot to catch a game, have a few drinks, and enjoy some amazing food. The menu is a sports lover's dream come true! We absolutely love their burgers, pizzas, and nachos – they're consistently delicious. The atmosphere is always lively and perfect for hanging out with friends. Plus, the staff of Jenn, Morganne, Caleb, and Colin is super friendly and makes us feel right at home. Honestly, we can't say enough good things about Press Box Sports Gri ll. If you're looking for a place with great food, awesome drinks, and a fun vibe, this is definitely the spot for you. Dave
This was our first time here. The food was excellent service was great. Got the steak salad. A bacon chessburger with tater tots. steak bites. And french fries and boneless wings will definitely be back again to try other menu items thank you
Our visit to the Yukon Tavern and Grill, hosted by the wonderful Mandy and her Mom Vicki, was a real treat! The food was excellent – we particularly enjoyed the generous sampler and getting creative at the fantastic baked potato bar. Highly recommend!
My bestie Scarlet bartends here 😍😍 she makes the best drinks 💙 the food is good too:)
Family-friendly chain outpost pairs familiar pub fare with an extensive list of house brews.
Alyssa M was such an amazing surver! She gave us amazing beer recommendations with the biggest smile. We came in sad to hear the spookie pizookie was sold out. But Alyssa TO THE RESCUE! She made us something similar and took care of us! It was the best service ever!! My fiancé and I came in for our double birthday celebration and we’re not disappointed! Alyssa is the best server we’ve ever had and even though she had a lot of other customers, she was speedy quick with service and helped us with all our needs. She was kind, helpful, and all around AMAZING. Best double birthday ever thanks to Alyssa M. If you are so fortunate as to have her as ur server, make sure to tip her double because she deserved it! This was my first 21st birthday and she made it so special. Thanks Alyssa M! We appreciate all that you did and made this the best birthday ever! We loved having you! Not all hero’s wear capes!! @ Alyssa M!! You made this the best birthday EVER!!!!
BJ’s delivered a great dining experience during my recent visit. I ordered the steak and ribs combo, and both were cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and flavorful, while the ribs were juicy with just the right amount of smokiness and sauce. It’s clear they take pride in the quality of their food, and this combo did not disappoint. What really stood out, though, was the service. I sat at the bar and was lucky to have Kristen as my server. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel welcoming. It’s always refreshing to be served by someone who genuinely seems to enjoy their job and goes the extra mile to ensure you’re taken care of. Overall, I’d highly recommend BJ’s on E. Shaw to anyone looking for a solid meal and great service. Whether you're stopping by for dinner or just grabbing a drink at the bar, the atmosphere is laid-back and comfortable. With delicious food and top-notch service, it’s definitely a spot I’ll be returning to.
The place is dirty. Went yesterday night (Saturday) and got in at opening time and the floor was incredibly sticky with visible dirt marks and trash on the floor. There was already straws on the floor and nobody had even ordered from the bar yet; they must’ve been from the night before. Went another time and the women’s bathroom sink didn’t work. There was writing on the mirror saying “don’t wash hands”. The music and drink specials are the only things I really like about the place, as well as the late cover charge.
I was charged $40 for admission, but the experience was far from satisfactory. The wait for the bathroom was an excruciating one hour, and when I finally reached it, the condition was awful. The management needs to address these issues promptly. A $40 admission fee coupled with a one-hour wait for a dirty bathroom is unacceptable.
Loungey spot with an American menu, bottle service & regular live music in the outdoor cabana area.
Best spot in Fresno to chill, cigar and party. Service great cocktail on piont with a smile 😀. Friendly atmosphere and welcoming.
The standard is the place to be. Me and my buddy try to go as much as possible. The atmosphere and service is the best in fresno. There are 2 servers that standout. There names are McKenzie and Jordan. Both very good at there job. They know exactly how to treat there customers. If you have them as your waitress make sure to take care of them.
I have not been there for many years. Since the station I was working with what's doing live broadcast from there... very friendly service food was excellent. Even got me to dance a little bit😅
This place is a good hangout spot, for a dive bar. I like that they have two pool tables. The staff there is usually right on point. Some nights they have a burger station out front now. The free popcorn is a plus. I like going on nights when they have the live DJ or a band performing on stage. Would be five stars if they had more eating options in the area, or even just like nachos or other appetizers to eat.
Love coming in for the fun entertainment and the bartenders, close to my house to have a drink and meets friends, the best is meeting new friends also
Stopped in after around a golf to visit with a friend. Had a nice time with very inexpensive drinks on the North side of town. They're also one of the few places that also has Keno hotspot.
Perfect neighborhood bar (Like a Cheers on TV but 30% or 80% knows your name)
I recently visited a charming bar that truly exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy, making it the perfect spot to unwind. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall pleasant experience. This bar offers great entertainment options like billiards and darts, which made our evening even more enjoyable. And let's talk about the drinks! Although they don't have a cocktail menu, the bartender went out of their way to create a delicious cocktail for my wife, and it was absolutely fantastic. If you're looking for a laid-back place with tasty drinks and a warm ambiance, I highly recommend this bar!
My adult son went into this bar for the first time just to relax and have a few drinks. He sat at the bar, and met a few individuals and they were having great conversation. The bartender was Extremely Rude and maybe into an hour of my son's visit, he was approached by security and told they were cutting him off with NO explanation as to why. He'd only had three beers and was Not behaving in ANY type of harmful, nor confrontational manner, He said the bartender was Extremely Rude and VERY dismissive of him! The bartender was also treating regular customers Very badly. My son will NEVER go to this bar again, and I Don't recommend anyone to go there. Horrible service, and experience!
This is a great place to get your favorite beer served nice and warm! The bartenders were very nice
J&J are the sweetest kindest people I've met in a long time. A friend of mine needed a little help and they showed love and kindness to him and to me. I plan to stop in more often.
Bar top was sticky... oh girl behind the bar more interested running her mouth than cleaning. Couldn't hear anything besides the bartender talking. SMH yea place needs to just close already. My drink tasted like lemonade
My grandmother maria longoria Soto used to own this property. She had 13 children 11 daughters and 2 sons. If anyone has any photos from here from the late mid to late 80s post them please I love this place it's a big part of fresnos history and we need to see more of its history
My mom has been coming here for over 30yrs. She loves it!! It's a mixture of different age groups. Mexican music with a Live band n DJ. Affordable food and drinks.
I never really liked this place but my friends would go. Its gotten so bad. Bar fights. Drug deals. No security. The bartenders are so rude. Especially the short girl with neck tattoos. Yelling at customers and a horrible attitude. It needs security and better employees. The windows have been smashed in a few times in the last year! Never going again and I wouldn't recommend it. Its not safe. Go to livingstone s or Goldsteins instead.
Met Stephanie...great friendly bartender!!! Awesome!!! Had one...two...three....I don't know how many cocktails I had...Lol
Press box is a good time, from the food, the atmosphere to the service. It's never a disappointment. Plenty of tvs to watch your favorite sports. It's a must try if you haven't been.
We had a large group, but the restaurant/bar was not full. I didn't pay attention to see how many servers there were, but service was slow. Food took a long while to come out, and I figured they were trying to serve us all at one time. However, some people received their food much quicker than others, and we could see all of our orders on the kitchen counter. I ordered a TBA with sweet potato fries. My wife ordered a Pastrami Sandwich with Tator Tots. I ordered my sandwich with wheat bread. It took a while, but the server came back to tell me if I still wanted my sandwich because they no longer use wheat bread. The bacon may have been ready made. It was cold and elastic. Not crisp. My wife's Tator Tots were over cooked. Not very impressed. The bar looked cool and it would be a good place to gather to watch sports and have a drink. Beyond that, I don't see a reason to visit.
Nice place to come for a friendly game of pool and have a few drinks with friends. Friendly down to earth people, never gets rowdy. Good people come here to have a good time.
Great local neighborhood dive bar. Parking can get tight..but worth it. Extremely friendly atmosphere
Local bar in a strip mall draws a chill crowd for drinks, DJs, karaoke, a jukebox, patio & more.
I like old bars. Pool tables, darts, good music on the box, friendly bartender. A friend told me about it. It was a weekday when we stopped in. Will check it out on the weekend.
Drinks are overpriced. Atmosphere is 30+ which is really great. Bartenders are exceptional and there is karaoke. No food selection and drinks are a bit weak. All in all good place for about an hr or 2 - max.
Went in to have a beer that didn't have my brand but sufficed anyways. Bartender was Sweet. Cool little dive bar of the beaten path. Looks like it would have more clientele though .
I went here on a Saturday for the first time. Just to play some pool and check it out. The service was good and the crowd chill. But when you pay to play your music and the bartender pulls the plug to play one song she and her friends want to listen to, it's not right. Then later she does it again to put line dance music for her and her friend. Then she turns it down just so her and her friend can FaceTime on the phone is total b.s.. So if you're going to come here, don't put music on if that older blond bartender is there . Her name started with a K.
Alright since Doordash doesn't want people to post negative reviews, I'll do it here. The food is decent, not bad for the price however they could use more seasoning. The only reason why I'm giving this restaurant a 1 star is due to the lack of quality control. I ordered Birria Fries and Sliders for late night lunch and they were good don't get me wrong until I found a hair strand in one of my sliders. This wasn't just a random hair strand that could've fallen off of myself or whatever no. This hair strand was deep into the slider which only makes my assumption that the cook or someone deliberately stuck the hair inside the sandwich because I ordered near closing time. I'm "sorry" for inconveniencing the workers. Not my fault doordash didn't tell me that the restaurant was closing soon. Also not my fault I work graveyard shift. I wanted to try a new restaurant on doordash and I would've given 5 stars, if not for the hair that was deliberately stuck in my sandwich At the end of the day, food is decent but quality control is horrible.
First time eating at vibez lounge and didn't disappoint. Went early midday around 4pm, but I'm sure it gets busier in the later part of the night. It's a chill place with very friendly and courteous staff that make sure to be attentive to your needs constantly and great service too. The food was amazing and delicious. They have decent priced deals that are affordable now in days with variety of daily options. I had tried their sliders options, tacos and even the fish taco. I'm particularly picky about my fish tacos, but it was delicious. I look forward to going back and tasting more of their taco meat varieties.
Family-friendly chain offering a sports-bar-style setting for American food & arcade games.
Service was good very attentive to refilling and making sure everything was ok and had what we needed. Got the 12oz ribeye medium rare had green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. Ribeye was low grade meat if I didn't get it prepared medium rare it probably would of been tough. Garlic mashed potatoes was ok green beans was alright very dry. Chicken pasta was good was a lil too greasy due to it also having bacon in it. Burger was ok. Meat was dry frys taste like basic frys nun special. Strawberry cake was sweet but taste good. Was missing the whipped cream due to them running out of it.
Service was a little slow for a Sunday @5. My kids waited over 20 minutes for their drinks, but we loved our food. If you're getting a new card, they do charge a fee of $5.
Farm-to-table dining, creative cocktails & local beers in an industrial-chic rooftop bar.
Quail State really oversold itself online and under-delivered in person. I came here excited to check out the rooftop since Quail State advertises itself as Fresno’s only rooftop bar. Unfortunately, the rooftop was closed for a private event that wasn’t listed anywhere on their Google account. Inside was uncomfortably hot—no proper AC, just swamp coolers. The bartender seemed rushed, and the drinks were mediocre at best. For $17 a drink, I expected much better quality and larger portions. Definitely not worth the hype. Separate Note on Service: When I asked the bartender what drink he recommends or what his best drink is, he seemed annoyed by the question. His reaction actually made me feel uncomfortable enough that I decided to leave. He did say he was sorry once he realized I noticed his anger, but the experience had already been soured. For a bar that advertises itself as a top spot, that kind of service was really disappointing.
The bar is not a "rooftop bar" it's on the second floor. Also, the bartender took forever to even try to get me a drink. The menu is expensive, which I would be fine with if the bar was actually high up from the street. You don't even have a good view when you are drinking. The view is off the sides of buildings that are much taller than this rooftop bar. Also it's really small. Overall, I recommend any other bar in the area.
No-frills outlet offering familiar Mexican fare & cocktails in an easygoing atmosphere.
The bartender Josie who lost my card story: On Friday July 25, 2025. Me and my friends along with my husband wanted to go out that night since they were advertising their flyer about how the theme was going to be 1990’s-2000’s music. Which of course sounded fun. We get to the club and one of my friends’ boyfriend had forgotten his id at the car, the security guard wouldn’t really let him leave to go get his ID (which I thought was weird, because why wouldn’t you, since he clearly has evidence of him being over 21) anyways, he ended up leaving anyways but also took his phone and on his phone, he had both the ticket for my friend and for my friend’s bf. My friend got checked in already, but since her bf had the tickets they wouldn’t let her go in. The two girls at the door to scan your ticket kept saying for my friend to go outside and wait, but the security guards (2 of them) said they can’t wait outside and for her to go inside. So they kept making my friend go in and out about 4 times. She eventually got in since her boyfriend had came back. Next up was the bar area for the 21 side. Me and my friends had wanted to sit down. There was this bartender/ bar girl who worked there and her name was Josie. She had told us if we wanted to sit we would have to put down 20$ on a card and they would keep it. So I offered my card which is fine. 30 minutes later me and my friends as well as my husband wasn’t really sitting down anymore, so I told my husband if he can give me my card back. My husband is a very generous person so he said he would put his card down on it instead so I can get my card back. So he went to the girl Josie, and she had explained to my husband that she had “misplaced” my card. The whole time the girl literally dropped my card on the floor and some girl picked it up. When I put my card down for the table, I handed my card to my husband so he can give it to her. We have given the card to Josie AT THE TABLE. When she said she had “lost/misplaced” it, she explained that she might’ve dropped it in the trash can, because she claims that we gave it to her over the trash can which was not the case and clearly lied. The manager had to step in because I was intoxicated since I was also drinking in the club and was getting upset, because the manger did not want to help. She said in her own words “we can’t do anything NOW, but just offer an apology” but her apology was not even sincere. The girl Josie was scared and trying to avoid me because she knew she was in the wrong and she didn’t even offer me any apology. Next day, which was Saturday July 27, 2025. I got a message request from a girl on instagram wondering if I was at the Mezcal Lounge club last night. I said yes and she had explained that the girl Josie had given her MY CARD when they went to go buy a drink at the bar. She did not put a tap on a table but only bought a drink. When they gave her her card back but it was really my card, and she was going to buy another drink, my card had declined since I had turned off my card control on my bank. I went home that night and woke up to someone trying to buy stuff with my card but was declined, so I thought the girl Josie had dropped my card and someone had picked it up and tried using my card. But no the girl who found my card returned it and apologized for taking my car which was not even her fault to begin with. Would not recommend because they SUCK and the girl Josie, she better watch it next time or else I will not hold back !!! My whole life savings was on that card even if I turned on my card control, Josie was not careful with handling people’s cards!!
The venue was cool, but I have to give it a low rating for the price of a table, $150-$200, this is Fresno, not Vegas, lighten up. Also, use regulation size shot glasses when selling shots, it's a rip off pouring less liquor into one of those tiny little cups people use for church communion, I paid $14 for a sip of congac 😢
Loved hanging out here. Lots of great conversations, good music, cheap pool. Cass, the bartender, was helpful with recommending a great drink options and executed the mixed drinks perfectly. She was a whole vibe running the bar and keeping us all entertained. She checked in with me regularly to be sure i felt comfortable and was taken care of. Definitely will be back again
🍻 Chill Vibes and Great Service at Ewell's Place – Fresno, CA Ewell’s Place is a solid hole-in-the-wall bar in Fresno, perfect if you’re just looking for a quick drink in a relaxed setting. The vibe is easygoing, the music was on point, and the atmosphere makes it a great spot to unwind without any fuss. What really stood out during our visit was the service. The waitress who helped us that night was excellent—super friendly, attentive, and kept our drinks cold and coming without ever needing to be asked twice. Even though I didn’t catch her name, she definitely made the experience better. If you’re in the area and want a laid-back place to relax, have a drink, and enjoy some good music, I’d definitely recommend Ewell’s.
Beer & cocktails are turned out in a no-frills neighborhood pub offering pool tables & karaoke.
Amazing bar. Great bartenders. A Customer was rude because I was taking photos of the stuff they have there. Pizza and Tomatoes. The bartender didn’t do anything. But she was kind to me. All good. I’ll never come here again. Danny, if you’re reading this. Good pool game we had last time. Maybe we’ll meet somewhere again and shoot. I wish I got that girls name that started this.
great dive bar, cash only. two pool tables and plenty of seats.
DJ played better music than the live band. As a designated driver, I felt I should have at least been given free water. Especially since there's no A/C. or ventilation. I wonder if they allow the room temperature to rise so that everyone has to keep buying more drinks. I was forced to spend $5 for a generic bottle of water 3 times. I don't recommend this place.
Mexican music nice to dance to. Ladiesroom too small. Mixed drinks not strong..they charge too much. My husband sells roses on wknds. Staff nice to the customers. Owner not really friendly..his ex wife and part owner nice. Security guard gene nice too. Other guards okay.
The security person are a little bit to dramatic and not even in a good way, the bartender sucks all 3. The girl takes for ever talking to men and the alcohol it’s more water than actually alcohol. I got two shots of patron and it was water with lit bit of alcohol. The music it’s alright but they need a better bar.
Last time I was there was during the 50 shades of men show. Horrible bartenders. First of all, I ordered a non-alcoholic beverage (Shirley temple) and she made what she called “her own version” which contained alcohol. I was not pleased because I ordered nonalcoholic for a reason, my illness. Don’t just assume I need alcohol. Second, bartenders were found dancing with the performers all on the dance floor, instead of serving the long lines at the bar. Very unprofessional!!!!
Mexican-centric nightclub featuring bands & a busy dance floor, plus margaritas & imported beer.
Went to a show 11-27-25 and they were charging $7 per water bottle. I asked for a cup of water and they said they don't do tap water. Pretty sure this is illegal. Definitely won't be coming back to this venue as they're nickel and diming their patrons. Highly disregard despite the good DJs, music, and venue.
This place needs ac by the bar its super stuffy..second the buckets for beer way over priced payed 50 bucks for a bucket of model thats insane its not vegas.and last train your bartenders I waited 45 minutes for a mix drink then the bartender comes back and was like I'm sorry I forgot what goes in that drink get something else ,never going back
good music and great service no complaints from me
It was ight
This unassuming spot has a full bar along with a separate dance floor where a DJ spins music.
Smaller, low ceiling night club. Nice modern lighting and screens. Dance pole. Outside patio Light up dance floor in 21+ section. Good music 🎶 Small restaurant attached with taquero outside. So everything is good except the history of violence and beak-ins they experience.
Friendly, safe, great live music and awesome DJ. Prices depend on live entertainment. Drink specials before 10:00. Sometimes free entrance and online tickets.
This place is busted. $20 cover charge and the bouncers act like they are protecting the president. The bouncers act like tough guys and have bad attitudes. They take out their professional failure on the patrons. Dancers are 5s & 6s at best. They didn’t have very many dancers when I went on a Saturday night. I went on a Friday night once before and it was about the same.
Nice people they have a taco truck that comes on Fri sat nights but during the week no food only vending machine. This is a strip club. Nice inside. Kinda expensive. I think it's $20 to get in.
MIDGET WRESTLING. It was a good experience. There should have been more characters. The vibe was good and everyone was having a good time.
Been here a few times now. You just have to know which event will get poppin and packed. Slow start for this new club. Very nicely redone though. I like the inclusive aspect of the different nights with different cultures...that's awesome 👌 Definitely go check it out!
