Amazing venue with a wonderful patio. Great selection of natural wines and caviar. The food is always delicious and super friendly staff. Ive thrown two private events on the patio and both were excellent. Definitely a go to spot for dtla.
Good Clean Fun isn’t just a wine bar, it’s a Downtown institution. Ian and his team have cultivated something truly special: a space that consistently delivers exceptional natural wines, beautifully fresh food, and an atmosphere that feels effortlessly joyful. What sets GCF apart is its reliability in delight. I’ve celebrated birthdays here, lingered on date nights, raised toasts at farewell parties, attended themed Good Clean Fun events, and each visit has been a masterclass in hospitality. The wine is always exciting and thoughtfully curated, the food is bright, seasonal, and satisfying, and the energy? Unfailingly warm and convivial. Ian’s passion for what he does is infectious. He’s not just pouring wine , he’s telling stories, sharing discoveries, and creating community. It’s this blend of curiosity and care that keeps the experience fresh while always feeling like home. Thank you GCF, for being my go-to for great wine, great company, and creating greater memories.
The Florentin rooftop is a great spot in downtown LA! The drinks are amazing and the view of the city is beautiful. The vibes are really good, on weekends after 9 pm they have a DJ that brings great energy. The pizza and small bites are delicious, and the staff are super nice and friendly. Definitely a fun place to hang out and enjoy the LA skyline!
My review is for the bar and cocktails only since I didn't eat here. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and there were plenty of seats available for walk ins. I ordered off the menu and just told the bartender what I was feeling and she did a great job. Each cocktail even better than the last. The vibes here in the afternoon are great, it's got a nice breeze even when it's hot out. Beautiful views. Great date place. I'll definitely come back and eat next time. Not the easiest place to find but there's plenty of signs and people to ask along the way.
Great place to grab a beer and a snack. Tried the burger and was pleasantly surprised, for $12 it was a solid classic no frills burger. There’s also a pool table which is always prudent
Sick local establishment. Good vibe good people and great drinks. Priced like a local neighborhood bar extremely solid. Free pool what more could you ask for. Plenty of TV’s for the games and a projector in the back. Open air is perfect for a nice summer day.
Me and my friends had a great time! The host was super friendly and easy going! Of course some of the venues may be to your liking, some will not but that’s what the tour experience is for! I highly recommend it for people not from LA!
LA Epic Club Crawls was such a good time! It kicked off at St. Felix where I got to play flip cup with some cool people while enjoying free beer. Then we hit Mama Shelter's rooftop, and it was great not having to wait in that long elevator line. Sound Nightclub was absolutely wild, and by the time we made it to Ballet, it was the perfect way to end the night. All the spots were super close, and honestly, skipping those lines alone made it totally worth it. The host was also super friendly and made sure we were all having a great time!
This local landmark whips up tropical drinks in a tiny room covered in tikis & Hawaiian decor.
Classic tiki bar with a great selection of delicious drinks and a unique atmosphere. The bartenders are generous with their pours, everything has a little extra rum. Service is excellent, but the location itself is very small so expect to wait 30 minutes to an hour to get inside.
First time here, and we absolutely loved it. It was definitely worth waiting in line for, and this comes from someone who avoids lines like the plague! The atmosphere was super fun and the drinks were fantastic. They were definitely not watered down, so very reasonably priced. We're definitely looking forward to coming again.
My husband and I had the pleasure of stumbling upon Tiny’s and absolutely loved it! The vibe is friendly and laid-back with fun games, amazing drinks, and the warmest staff, aka Susie, who made us feel right at home. My husband and I had a great time hanging out with the locals and even made some new friends. The hot dogs are hands down the best in LA, and they even offer vegan options for those who don’t eat meat. As out-of-towners, my husband and I were blown away by how welcoming everyone was, it truly felt like family. Don’t leave without snapping a photo in their retro photo booth, getting your fortune from Zoltar, or enjoying a game of Golden Tee or shuffleboard. Highly recommend this hidden gem!
Fun Place for All, including us from Minnesota, glad we found it while visiting LA. Bartender, Cristina M., Rocks! Love the Fish Tacos, Coleslaw was delicious and the wings weren't bad either, maybe fried a bit harder would be even better.
Moody cocktail lounge in the Hotel Normandie serves up creative drinks in a stylish setting.
Some buddies and I came here looking for craft cocktails. They did not disappoint. We ended up coming two nights in a row. If Grant is behind the bar, you’re in great hands. Let him do his thing. He’s truly a bartending gem. This place is lucky to have him.
Atmosphere 6/10 Cool, dark atmosphere with a main focus on the bar area. Back area looks cool. The crowd gets a bit creepy and weird towards late hours… might be an area-related thing. Bar seating is very limited because of the counter-order concept. Drinks 4/10 Recommendation: - Menu is QR only, which is a minus point. The drinks are super basic. I didn’t taste any “twist” which they advertise on the menu for classic drinks. Glassware is very basic, almost cheap. Cool coasters. Service 3/10 Basically no service. Everything is self-service or upon request. For drinks, you have to line up at the bar and wait for your turn to order. Average prices for LA.
I needed help getting on a guest list in Vegas and didn’t have any contacts. I Googled and came across Discotech and was so glad I did—it’s a legit app/site! I used it the day before and got into Encore Beach Club with no problems at all. The process was seamless and super easy. We had an amazing time—highly recommend! 😊🎉 Thank You Mark for all your help!
This place doesn't not exist on sunset ..it's a corporate office ..it's not an after hour 6430 sunset Blvd this a corporate office not discotech ..security there are nice an tell you discotech is not at that address
Laid-back sports-centric watering hole with TVs, a pool table & a dog-friendly patio.
This a great corner pub. There's loads of liquor and beer options at very reasonable prices. Service is great. Several food option in the same strip mall and a whole shelf of free snacks. And it's dog friendly!
90 West is a gem I came across. Upon going in it did not take long to see that it was a community type of place. It's the "Cheers Bar" of the area. It is a community base type environment, where everyone is so kind to everyone else. The owners (Ben & Angela) and crew have created environment that is amazing. It's hard to explain without seeing, but it is a family environment. So much so that one of the patrons takes care of all variety of snacks and sandwiches on a lot of nights. They even have a taco night. Unbelievable! I rarely get surprised, but I am very much so in a positive. I am 55 years old -- growing up in Santa Barbara I've been around the block a few times, but this place is in a league of its own. They also have trivia night, Music Bingo night by Dolla on Tuesdays at 8pm is more than fun! They also have a ton of games like to play Connect Four and other games that you can enjoy. I would add that this a sports bar that shows all sports. It is worth noting that there are a lot of Dodger fans! The bartenders are all amazing and polite: Kelli, Sarah, Michelle, Liz, Brian & Oz. They go above and beyond and I hope everyone gets to meet them and enjoy them because they are awesome! A++ is an understatement. They are the highlight of 90 West. I would add that the people that play billiards there are really good! Sharks!!! I could go on and on, but bottom line is this is one of the best establishments I've ever had the pleasure and lucky to enjoy I would add to see their cooperation working together is just next level. I don't get surprised often in life because I've been around the block a few times as I previously mentioned, but I was very surprised to discover this place. I have traveled all over the world and this place is a safe and a community based place to enjoy. Come see for yourself!
Cozy bar serves craft beers & gourmet sandwiches in industrial-chic space with a dog-friendly patio.
If you are in DTLA and you do not visit this bar then YOU ARE MISSING OUT! 10/10 The owner Brandon and bartender Ty are amazing! Full of personality, full of life, amazing energy. We came back to back two nights in a row. The drinks are phenomenal and you can’t beat the price. This is a bar about socializing! Don’t be on your phone, talk to people, sing, dance and just vibe. You can also bring in outside food!
Long overdue. This is my favorite neighborhood bar / local watering hole. The type of spot you can come in to as a group or feel completely comfortable walking in to alone. Great tunes and amazing staff. Back bar bottle selection is expertly curated with fair prices. Always feel welcomed here and the cocktail menus are on point throughout the seasons.
Glamorous venue with antique decor & 1910s accents, serving innovative cocktails & American fare.
An absolute must-visit in Downtown LA for cocktail lovers. 🍸✨ I have obsessively been coming to The Wolves whenever I’m in LA, and it never disappoints. The Agua Buena is hands-down the best cocktail I’ve ever had in my life. Their other cocktails are just as impressive… my friends always order different ones, and every drink has such unique, inventive flavor profiles that just work. The small bites are delicious too. Friendly staff and the setting… don’t even get me started! It’s stunning, atmospheric, and makes the whole experience feel extra special.
Came right when they opened at 5 pm on a Sunday. I love the stained glass ceiling and the bar's overall decor and vibe. I ordered the Tigers Milk and Harbinger of Fun, which the bartender told me are the most popular drinks on the menu. I liked the latter more due to its strawberry and pistachio notes. The bartender (I think his name is either Jason or Kevin) was incredibly friendly, chatted with me a bit, and made the drinks quickly. Excellent service. Would love to come back and try the other cocktails, which may ultimately elevate my rating. Drinks: 4 Service: 5 Ambiance/space: 4.5
Stylish watering hole with hunting lodge decor, old-school cocktails & a massive whiskey selection.
If you’re looking for one of the most iconic whiskey bars in Downtown Los Angeles, Seven Grand is the spot. I’ve been to quite a few bars in DTLA, but nothing really compares to the energy, selection, and vibe that Seven Grand brings to the table. Whether you’re a whiskey connoisseur or just someone looking for a fun night out with friends, this place hits all the marks. First off, the ambiance is unreal. It has this classic, old-school speakeasy feel with dim lighting, leather couches, pool tables, and a rustic, vintage design that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another era. You can tell they’ve put effort into creating a unique space that mixes upscale with laid-back energy. It’s cozy, but still lively. But what REALLY separates Seven Grand is their insane whiskey selection. I’m talking hundreds of options — from well-known brands to rare bottles you’ve probably never heard of. Bourbon, Scotch, Japanese whiskey, Irish whiskey, you name it — they’ve got it behind the bar. The bartenders here actually know their stuff, too. It’s not your average bar where they rush your order — the staff here takes their time to walk you through recommendations based on your taste preferences. I’ve discovered a few new favorites thanks to their guidance. The live music nights are also a vibe. There’s nothing like sipping on a quality old fashioned or whiskey neat while listening to live jazz or blues right in the heart of downtown. It adds a whole other layer to the experience. They also have a whiskey society membership for anyone who’s really passionate about expanding their knowledge, doing tastings, and getting access to special events. Definitely worth checking out if you plan to come often. On weekends, it can get busy, but the crowd is always chill and friendly — no pretentious energy here, just people enjoying good drinks and a good time. If you want to avoid the wait, I recommend coming earlier in the evening. All in all, Seven Grand is a Downtown LA staple. Great whiskey, knowledgeable bartenders, good music, cool decor, and a top-tier vibe. If you’re in LA and appreciate quality drinks with character, this place is a must-visit. Five stars all day. Cheers to Seven Grand! 🥃 Got to come happy hour between 4 pm - 8 PM. Turns to an after party after 8 PM late night bar. 515 W 7th St Unit 200 Los Angeles, CA 90014 United States On the 2nd floor of Zay’s SEVEN GRAND WHISKEY BAR Alongside hand-crafted cocktails, state-of-the-art beverage delivery systems, live music, pool tables and private party areas, Seven Grand is home to the ever-popular Whiskey Society; a unique membership program providing guests the opportunity to further explore the spirit via education and experimentation with comprehensive tastings featuring Master Distillers, International Brand Ambassadors, and notable members of the liquor industry. I've never seen a place like this in the US. They have so many different types of whisky including Scotch and Japanes (like Hakushu 18 years). Eden also recommended great Rye and Scotch whiskies that I liked so much! Thanks Eden!
Vibes are always good at the high low, the staff is always friendly. And the food is unparalleled as bar food goes. I’m making my way around the menu but the shrimp pastor taco and the short rib taco always bring me to a spiritual experience. Very cozy atmosphere. Jazz mondays is always a treat
This was stop number two and what a surprise. They had karaoke going on and it was so much fun to watch. The carajillo was delicious.
Eclectic bar with vintage freak show pictures on the walls serving trendy, upscale cocktails.
Great themed bar Great for conversation and connections Highly recommended their drinks with foam/cream
Excellent cocktails and vibe. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking a LA cocktail experience. Noah made exquisite drinks.
Cozy lounge offering up signature cocktails & live music in a subdued space with eclectic decor.
I loved this place. I saw a few bands and Sierra Miles was headliner. It is a fun bar and its just the right size. Great music and great sound. and of course they have pizza
Honestly, super small. No cash allowed! Ugh, old man here only carrying greenbacks, luckily my buddy paid for my drinks, embarrassing. No cash, no tip. They should think about that. Sorry, enough with the complaints, just there watching live music, dreamers, and supporting my buddy and his band Former Portrait. It is right next to a venue that has bigger bands play every once in a while. Other bars are nearby, but none open early, that is before 8:00 pm. The atmosphere is great with a crowd that is knowledgeable on music and friendly, you feel welcomed with these people! Great place to hang, if not small. Limited selection of beers with no stouts or porters. Had to go with an IPA. They get a five for vibe, community, and allowing performers to entertain us.
Featuring a watering hole hosting DJ sets & live bands, this venue also includes a hotel & studio.
I attended this venue for Otis Kane’s album release event. First off, parking can be a challenge, there’s no designated lot, so we had to find street parking about a block away. The venue itself is small but has a charming bar area. I really enjoyed the show and the overall atmosphere. A highlight was getting my vinyl signed by the artist and even snapping a few pictures. If you’re planning to visit, I’d recommend allowing extra time to find parking.
Love the vibes in this small bar and stage. This is probably the smallest dancefloor I've been on, which mixed with the low stage made the show feel super intimate. I love this for seeing local bands! If you'd like to sit, there's a few tables near the stage -- get there early because all the other tables don't have a stage view. Water was freely available all night without having to bother a bartender 🤎 The name though, Gold Diggers, is kinda cringe... guess nothing's perfect 🤷♂️
Attached to an old-school deli, this low-key haunt hosts rock bands in an intimate setting.
This is an awesome bar with great music guests. It can get a little loud, but is otherwise great! The food from Canters is some of the best deli food you'll find!!
Tues. Nights some Great Ol' Time Musicians!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 It's Real Good Music and a Rockin' Fun Time, You'll be Pleasantly Surprised 🎶❤️🔥😎🌹💯 So Come on Out and Rock W/Us!! You Won't Regret It I Promise!! 💯
We loved this place! We were staying at the Moxy next door and wanted to eat nearby. The burger was fantastic and the Mexican bowl was also great. The staff were really friendly, and the ordering system through their website on your phone is very convenient. The customization options for the dishes are amazing, but it does take away a bit from the server–guest interaction. They also offer a discount if you’re staying at the Moxy, which is a big plus. On top of that, they have a wide selection of beers and cocktails – definitely worth a visit!
I was out with my coworker. We made it for happy hour and I enjoyed myself. The food was good and so were the drinks. I love the fact we were able to pay for our own mean with our phones while we were sitting at our table. I would love to go back, but I will not drive there because it can be difficult to find parking.
Expansive sports bar provides pub grub, more than 30 brews on tap & big screens beaming games.
First things first. The ordering system and the speed that orders arrive at the table should be studied in universities. The drinks get to to you practically before you submit the order on the app. Almost bizarrely efficient, wonderful. Staff was excellent. TV situation, including the giant tiled system featured are all outstanding as well. Beer and drink menu, very good. We only got one food item, the Banh mi fries and they were delicious. You have many choices on this stretch of Sunset in Silverlake. Of you option for 33 Taps you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended.
Definition of the perfect sports bar. Great staff, lots of TV’s with every game on. The food used to be solid, they hired a new head chef and she took the food quality to the next level. Every chicken dish is especially immaculate with the new preparation method she introduced. The chef and bar staff are worth their weight in gold.
Polished cocktail spot with a backlit bar, banquette seating & bar bites from burgers to bao buns.
Great patio for big groups. You don’t have to worry about splitting the bill! Every one can get their own tabs. The waiter/serving staff are always on the move making sure everyone is satisfied with their order or if they’re ready to order more. Great in the summer time. Great happy hour specials
Found this bar after trying to go to other spots in DTLA. I’m glad the other places didn’t work out because everything was great here. Drinks were amazing, the food was really good with multiple options for different diets. The ambiance was chill but lively. There’s also a large patio area that is perfect for large groups. And drinks were reasonably priced whether you get a classic or a frozen drink.
A subterranean bar rich with history, offering regular live jazz, occasional dancing & billiards.
Great place to enjoy jazz music in a speakeasy kind of location. Walking down the stairs from the main entrance literally transports you away from the craziness of downtown L.A. into a friendly and welcoming bar. There is something for everyone here. The drinks are great. Beer is fresh and cold on tap in addition to other alcoholic spirts if that is your flavor. The bar also host as a kitchen. Food is simple and taste great. Further down the bar you can be entertained with live music or converse with friends while relaxing at the multiple sofas and other seating areas. There are a few pool tables as well as board games to also pass the time. The layout of the place was great because the chill zones are separated from the bar. Recommend you call before hand to find out live entertainment for the night. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Super clear establishment.
Parking is a challenge. $5 entry fee. Music and vibes are great! Most bartenders are cool but caught a bit of attitude with a long haired Asian bartender over a debit card that I had just previously used for to buy a drink. Apparently, the previous bartender had no issue but he said that he couldn't process payment because it didn't have a chip. I explained to him that the previous bartender had no issue, his reply with attitude "The previous bartender made a mistake. I'm TELLING you that I need a card with a chip". I gave him another card and showed him the receipt of my previous payment and asked if I was previously charged correctly? He began to try and mumble his way out of it and then got a call on his cell, and just walked away...lol. Other than that, all is good.
Craft beer & drinks in a wood-paneled setting with a fireplace, also offering live music & karaoke.
I went to Fable on a Wednesday night to meet friends who were regulars before moving out of state. The drinks were good, beer selection was too and I enjoyed the Pilsner. The MC was quite funny at the intro and between sets. The comics absolutely crushed it! Fun place with a great authentic atmosphere. I am not a local. I will definitely be back on comedy night. 👍🏻
Came in to grab a drink with a friend. It was karaoke night and the sound was actual torture. The singing would've been fine, but the system was cranked to 11 and sounded terrible. Literal screeching. Couldn't hear a thing my friend said. Had to leave.
Watering hole with a pool table & jukebox set in a dimly lit, wood-paneled room.
A great dive bar, the crowd was eclectic and creative on a Friday night. There’s a jukebox, and little nooks for small groups can talk and have a drink. A lot of people hang out outside as well. A good place to bring a group while in K town.
Awesome place full of really good people. Come enjoy and make new friends.
Tiny & dark, this longtime hangout draws the rock 'n' roll crowd with DJ'd tunes & a laid-back vibe.
I appreciate the music selection which typically includes 80s new wave, punk, and alt rock. The ambience is great with low red lights. The bartenders are friendly but also no nonsense to trouble makers.
Tried to go the other night, and was looking for a divey, “goth” bar. However it was completely wrong atmosphere for the place's reputation. Unlikely I will be back
We had a super time here for lunch upstairs (they have a second floor!). Awesome waitress-bartender, offering their super delicious pork-belly/spam/beef buns (like the buns in Beijing Duck), nachos, gorgeous cocktails, etc, at a chill cool atmosphere. They have a little sofa filled booth area that seems to be a good spot to bring your babies while u enjoy a nice outing. This is a well run, babies friendly, young hip place, and perfect for bringing a casual date.
This was a great sports bar/restaurant with Sneakerhead vibes. Solid atmosphere, great selection of drinks and food. I ordered their “Mamba Forever” drink and it was delicious and strong. I also got the double stuffed deep fried Oreos that had a side of green tea ice cream. That dessert was phenomenal and I highly recommend it. I saw that parking was limited and walked here from another bar. Solid location for a Lakers game and it’s two floors. I’d definitely come back to try some of their other menu items.
Comfy hangout with cocktails, microbrew beers & vintage arcade games, plus beer & liquor to go.
has the best time at this bar during our stay in dtla! the bartenders were fantastic, the music was great, the drinks were tasty and strong, and the overall vibe was immaculate ✨️ loved that there was a mix of locals and tourists. will definitely come back! (100% worth having my drink spilled on me accidentally lmao)
Iconic bar in DTLA! This place is as cool as it is old. If you’re in DTLA go have a drink at this spot. The bartenders are super friendly, grab a seat a the bar and have a nice chat with them or they have a nice atrium seating area. This is the only bar in DTLA that you can buy liquor to go. No food, but the day we were there, two food trucks were set up out front. Definitely get the Dickel with the Pickleback. This sounds strange, but it is fantastic!
Lively bar with Yellowstone-like decor that serves novelty drinks & hosts events, such as bingo.
Hands down my favorite bar in Los Angeles! Great vibes that remind me of where I’m from (New England) and I always have a good experience here. The staff is friendly and the drinks are strong and cheap. Bluegrass night is on Tuesdays and Trivia is on Wednesdays. I will always hold a special place in my heart for this bar and will keep coming back for good times. Thanks, Bigfoot Lodge!
Been coming here for years. I love the ambiance. Happy hour 5 until 8 pm and then they have beer and shot specials all night and specialty cocktails
New York's famed spot for creative drinks with a New American menu & a speakeasy vibe.
This was one of the best experiences from start to finish and had everything you can think of in a bar. First off, I was running late and they messaged me and changed my reservation to accommodate me. The drinks and food? SPECTACULAR! Over 24 drinks to choose from and to celebrate my birthday, the Too Old to Die Young Drink was a MIKE TYSON PUNCH 👊🏼, Dessert: Cookies soaked in liquor was amazing and the staff were educated and polite with complementary birthday drinks. If you want an experience from the pros. Go here. They were awesome 😎
Death & Co LA is hands down one of my favorite bars in the city. The cocktails are always creative, balanced, and beautifully presented, the mixologists here really know how to combine flavors you won’t find elsewhere. On this visit I tried the Kissaten Café, Hail to the Thief, Sun Dream, Morning Dove, Garnet Moon, and Flying Nimbus. Every single one stood out in its own way, and the seasonal rotation keeps the menu exciting. I also love how they organize the drinks by categories like Bright & Confident or Boozy & Honest, it makes picking something to match your mood really easy. The food is underrated too. The fried chicken is extra crispy with a sweet-spicy glaze that makes it addictive, and the fries with aioli are a perfect bar snack. We capped the night with crème brûlée, which was excellent. The vibe is dark, intimate, and modern with a true speakeasy feel, just be ready to use your phone light to read the menu. It gets packed on weekends, so definitely book a reservation instead of waiting in line. Pro tip: go earlier in the evening if you want to snag free street parking, otherwise you’ll most likely need to valet. Yes, drinks are on the pricier side ($20–$30+), but the quality, creativity, and atmosphere make it absolutely worth it. If you love cocktails, Death & Co is a must.
Snug, atmospheric bar offering burgers, microbrews & live music in a patio-equipped setting.
Awesome Chicago style & themed bar, killer ambience inside, outdoor section and extra picnic benches out front to chill with crew. Live bands & music, Malort shots, antler chandeliers, Old Style, and all! Dog friendly too but bring earmuffs for them, it might get loud. Don't pass it up, drop in for a pint, it's worth the adventure!
Great time here. Meticulously decorated, has a saloon/tavern vibe that I was looking for in LA. It seems like they have free live music all the time, which is fantastic. It is adjacent to skid row so be smart about how you're traveling to and from. There is no clear signage - look for the opening in their gated parking lot. The parking lot patio has a grungy LA vibe with an outdoor smoking area. If you're not a fan of the live bands, they seem to have a deejay outside in the covered patio area playing dance tunes. There was a random fire dancer performing when we were there, not sure how often that happens, but I guess anything can happen in LA!
This modern take on a classic arcade combines retro video games, pinball machines & craft cocktails.
Great place to play pinball and grab drinks. The machines are well cared for, except for that earthshaker that was filthy, and priced really cheap. New games are only two tokens. It got a little hot as more people came in but that might be a me problem. Worth checking out.
The most amazing arcade bar in the world where they still charge you less per play and have amazing drinks and amazing prices. Real love letter to arcade games and my favourite place in the world . We were visiting from London. They have some really rare machines. I could stay here for hours. Much love and thanks for keeping this alive , I wish you all the success in the world.
Dark & moody, this long-standing hangout offers classic cocktails, plus DJs, burlesque & live bands.
The Bar doesn't serve food, but they do provide freshly cooked popcorn from a machine, and there is an amazing Taco truck in the parking lot next door. The staff is so nice. None of that pretentious Hollywood BS. They have a seasonal cocktail menu. The vibe in the Sawtooth Theater is amazing. The sound was so good.
Great club to catch a gig in! Sound system was amazing, great atmosphere and every person we interacted with on the staff was super cool. A definite gem in Hollywood...hope we get a chance to catch a show here in the future.
Glamorous rooftop setting with French small plates, handcrafted cocktails & grand views of the city.
Perch in Downtown Los Angeles is one of those rare places that makes the city itself feel cinematic. Perched high above Pershing Square, it offers a panoramic view that stretches from the shimmering skyline to the Hollywood Hills. It’s no wonder that this French-inspired rooftop restaurant draws both locals and travelers looking for that quintessential LA evening. Yes, it can get crowded, especially on weekends, but it’s part of the energy and allure. The key is to lean into it, find your rhythm, and let the ambiance carry the night. The food here is consistently excellent. The French onion soup is one of the best in the city, rich and deeply caramelized with a perfect layer of melted Gruyère. The steak frites are a signature dish for good reason: perfectly cooked, served with crisp, salty fries and a velvety peppercorn sauce that feels indulgent but balanced. The moules frites are another standout, swimming in a white wine broth fragrant with garlic and herbs. For something lighter, the roasted beet salad and the seared scallops both show real finesse. The cocktail list is thoughtful, with house specialties like the Hemingway daiquiri and a lavender martini that pairs beautifully with the sunset. Romantic, delicious, and unforgettable, Perch is one of LA’s rare spots that truly earns its reputation.
The food was amazing! The view was spectacular! I came here for the happy hour menu and everything we ordered was delicious. They also have a rooftop lounge for you to enjoy a drink and chit chat with a friend. I'd definitely recommend this place!
Chill bi-level club offers live jazz shows, karaoke & DJs spinning everything from '80s to hip-hop.
A first Saturday hip hop classics type night, it was just what I needed. Excellent music both upstairs and down. As a solo lady I had a lovely time, people were kind and no creeps. From MF DOOM to K Dot and so much more. Really needed to come across a place like this, that reminds me of a house party vibe. Chill, no pretense. Plus that Bruce Lee statue visible thru the upstairs windows is pretty cool, Chinese lanterns and all - the place is cinematic.
Pretty cool. Prices of drinks are a bit high but are made well. The bartenders are good . I will definitely be back
Photos of movie stars deck the walls at this historic, no-frills bar, famous for its jukebox.
Welcoming, No Frills bar! While walking down Hollywood Blvd, I stopped to look in and this Friendly bouncer (pictured) said, "go on in and check it out," glad we did. Fun people, neat lights on the ceiling that I now know have been featured in movies. If you want a good, inexpensive adult beverage amongst good people, stop by the Frolis Room on Hollywood Blvd.
A must-do experience when you are in Hollywood. It’s iconic. Always crowded before a show at the Pantages so getting a seat can be a challenge. We managed to snag a table after a few minutes and the staff quickly removed the prior customers glasses and cleaned the table, which was appreciated. I’m particular about my Negroni and the bartender made it perfectly.
Festive Downtown institution offering pub grub & live music in a sunken pirate ship setting.
I love this place. Haven't been back since the pandemic. So glad to see that it survived. Great place for drinks and a burger. Just divey enough and still really cool. If you have to do jury duty in downtown Los Angeles or just passing through. Make sure you stop by The Redwood.
Love this authentic dive bar (and I mean dive bar in the best way) - very cool vibes, great service and drinks. I asked the bar tender how his cocktail game was and he just said ok but he was humble!! It was great!
Relaxed woman-owned cocktail bar with fun, fruity cocktails & small seaside-inspired bites.
My favorite dive bar in town that actually makes great cocktails. Best price in town as well!
Worst drink I ever had in my life. It’s probably cause I didn’t have crazy blue hair or piercings. I specifically told the bar tender I wanted a drink that doesn’t taste strongly of alcohol that also looks pretty. She literally gave me a drink with straight whiskey. This makes me hate bars even more she gave me attitude when I told her about the issue. Rather make my own cocktail with a cheap Spotify playlist at home
High-end sports-bar chain with a huge menu of New American fare & an extensive list of draft beers.
Love a place where locals hang out ! Lots of options and everything sounded equally nice ! Our server was very professional and helpful and the dishes we go were well cooked and huge so we couldn't finish it all. A great starter is the firecracker shrimps - suggested by the young man who served us! Another great thing about the place is that it closes later than other places in the area so you can stay for drinks if you like.
Great spot at LA Live! Yard House has an incredible variety of food and drinks; everything is fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming, and the service is friendly and attentive. It's the perfect place to grab a meal before a game, concert, or just a night out downtown.
Trendy spot offering hip decor & a drink program that features unexpected ingredients.
How I love this neighborhood club! People are friendly and fun. I stopped by early on a Saturday night and was dazzled by Xmas decorations they just put up for the season and a great new band playing out for one of it's first gigs. As the band played to an enthusiastic audience, everyone in the room felt like we were sharing something special. Drinks are delicious and affordable, they don't charge for water- even bubbly water! Drop in!
I was there on a Saturday night. They played a bunch of alt music. The room was full but in a fun way. There was no cover. I will be going back.
Drinks named for designers & vintage sewing machines as decor give this lounge a fashionable vibe.
The music was nice, and the audience seemed pleased. It was a bit quiet for a Friday at midnight. My drink was good, but the bartender was quite grumpy. Overall, it was an okay experience, but nothing exceptional.
Nothing fancy but it's small for like at least 50-60 people. Bartender is unfriendly. Older man with grey beard. Have some personality buddy. Drinks are good. My friend Deejayed here recently. Not too shabby.
Chill gastropub with American & Asian food, like burgers & sushi, plus beer & cocktails.
I was in L.A. on a business trip and stumbled across Far Bar while searching for a Happy Hour spot—and I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere here is incredible. I kicked things off with the spicy edamame and Ming’s Wings, both packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the vibe. The bartenders are not only skilled but genuinely friendly, offering great food and drink recommendations. The regulars at the bar welcomed me right in, making it feel more like a neighborhood hangout than just a stop on a trip. If you’re visiting Los Angeles and staying anywhere near Little Tokyo, Far Bar is a must. And take my advice—ask for Nate. He’s an outstanding bartender who makes the experience even better.
Been coming to this bar for quite a few years and there’s been a few changes here and there. Overall though, it’s a bar I still very much enjoy on my days off or right after work. I love this bar in the morning when it just opens. Tbvh the BEST time to come. You get the special and get to enjoy their patio and the fresh air and plants. Love love loveee this place for that. Staff is really nice and attentive any time of the day. Great selection of cocktails and beers and always served with chilled glasses. Atmosphere is hip and chill and great for conversations or being alone. Food thoughhh hmmm Nawh I wouldn’t do it 😭 the fries yes. Idk since they changed their menu I’m not into it tbvh. Portions are too small for how pricy. Too many restaurants around to eat here, mainly a bar. For this review I got the shrimp tacos. Felt like shrimp you would put in top of pasta not tacos. Didn’t enjoy them sadly. The sushi is oki from here if you are looking to eat here.
Evocative, late-night watering hole featuring imaginative cocktails & Japanese whisky.
Came here for an after dinner drink. A friend recommended if you want a variety of whiskeys. All sort of concoctions or straight shot of whiskeys. Order at the bar. Very quaint place. Indoor, patio and outdoor seating available pending on your mood. The mural of the wolf and crane is quite interesting. Pricing is not over height for a whiskey bar.
Wolf & Crane in Little Tokyo is a cool spot, but parking can be a bit of a hunt. When I dropped by, they were hosting a private event, so the cocktail menu was limited, but I made do. I ordered the Berried Treasure—a solid drink, though it didn’t quite blow me away. The vibe was laid-back with great energy, and the staff were friendly despite the limited menu. While my drink was fine, I’d love to return when the full menu’s available. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area, just be prepared for parking roulette!
Festive local tavern with many tap beers & craft cocktails in a funky space with a jukebox & darts.
The new owners ruined the interior. It used to have cozy, private booths and dim lighting. Last time I went it was a big open bright room. Killed the dive bar vibe. Not only that, last time I was there the bartender and the owner(?) got in to a fight and he kicked everyone out and closed the place. Not only that, they have no consistent hours- sitting across the street at All Seasons, I’ll see it shuttered at 9pm on a Friday night, and then other times it’s open. I used to go here every week, I haven’t been back in a couple years now. Damn shame.
I've been here about three times now. Each visit came with a lot of reluctance and for one reason alone, and after my most recent visit this week, I'm just about done with Little Bar, which is unfortunate because the joint isn't half bad aesthetically and the music can be quite good. But my gosh, the service was ABYSMAL. When I tell you the bartender (with the half-gray, half-purple pixie cut) is far and away the worst bartender I've ever met in LA, I say it with no exaggeration; she is perhaps the coldest, unfriendliest, most discourteous and abrasive person I've met in her position of hospitality, and I say that as someone who's been in the same industry for years. Her sheer lack of awareness, personability, common courtesy - I could go on - was just astounding. How she still works there is a complete wonder to me, but also goes to show me that management, and really, ownership, take no accountability for her poor behavior and overall terrible service thein establishment embodies. And I trust this review will do very little to move the needle in that regard. No drink is good enough to justify paying to be sneered at. Little Bar, big attitude, zero hospitality.
Handcrafted cocktails & gastropub bites in a cozy setting with book-lined walls & leather couches.
I love a bar with a concept and was obsessed over the library theme. Though not exactly hidden, the walls of books and intimate, cozy seating felt akin to a speakeasy. The contrast of the classic study aesthetic against the neon, almost cyberpunk-esque bar was surprisingly harmonious. Best of all, on a Thursday night at 7pm, this place was barely populated - which was wonderful because I got prime choice of seat next to the bookcase on the sofa and could take as many pictures as I wanted. The bartender was so nice and helpful in navigating my “reading list” for the night. My first “novel” was the “Adventure of Blackberry Finn,” a blackberry infused vodka with lemon and blackberry smush. On said adventure with Finn, I fell off the raft and was doggy paddling in the vodka. Some cocktails coyly hide their spirits as they lure you into a sense of false security. Library Bar cocktails are not like that. They don’t hide their spirits - they’re leading the pep rally. They are upfront and honest about what they contain. Take a sip and it’s undeniably VODKA. Despite that, I still thought it tasted good. Sweet, fresh, and bang for your buck with how strong it was. The burger was quite yummy for something served at a bar. Maybe (definitely) I was already quite tipsy at this point, but I liked the burger. My friend thought it was kinda dry, but I didn’t. The fries were also nice and fluffy. I do wish they didn’t run out of the poutine… that sounded good. It probably would’ve helped soak up the alcohol too. To be honest, I thought the literary drink names were so cute I couldn’t resist ordering a second drink. Of Ice and Mezcal was, as the bartender described it, almost a straight up spirit. Sipping on it was actually quite pleasant - the smoky taste of the Mezcal paired well with the brightness from the grapefruit bitters. But it was definitely too much for my second drink of the night (I really should have listened oops). I would definitely come back! I see myself stopping by after work to bask in the ambiance and enjoy a nice drink - especially on weeknights on their off hours. What should I “read” next hehe…
Ngl those fries changed my life lol. Super good bar food! Love this place. The atmosphere is great, there's really nice clean bathrooms, drinks are great, and the bartenders were so friendly. Music choices were superb, and not too loud. Small and cozy, so probably better for small groups or individual hangouts. It wasn't very busy when my friend & I stopped by, and if I could, I would become a regular, haha.
Stylish gastropub featuring an American menu, large draft beers & sports on big screens.
The most incredible experience at Tom’s Watch Bar. The beer, the foods, the atmosphere are unbeatable. Yet what seals the deal is the waitress Cayci who is the most attentive, friendly, patient with the utmost hospitality. Love Tom’s Watch Bar and we will come back anytime when arriving to Downtown LA.
Would definitely go again just for the atmosphere and the selection of games broadcast. Server was mediocre and food was lukewarm when it arrived at least 30min after ordering. Atmosphere was lively but not sure why they kept switching the sound from football to dance club. That was a bit much.
Funky '70s retro bar with era-appropriate garage sale decor, an Airstream trailer & backyard BBQ.
Good Times at Davey Wayne’s is truly one of the most unique spots in Los Angeles. From the moment you walk through the hidden garage door entrance, you’re transported into a vintage world full of character, energy, and good vibes. I came out specifically to support the local bands performing, and I have to say — the live music scene here is top-tier. The sound system, the atmosphere, and the crowd all come together to make it feel like an intimate concert experience, while still keeping the fun, laid-back bar vibe alive. One thing I love about this venue is the mix of people. You’ll find locals, creatives, and visitors from all over, all connecting through music and good times. It’s not just about grabbing a drink — it’s about being part of the culture. The retro décor, great drinks, and outdoor patio make it easy to stay for hours and just enjoy the night. As a business owner with my merch company, Saka World Wide, this place was also a great opportunity to connect with people, share ideas, and build relationships. Los Angeles thrives on collaboration, and Davey Wayne’s is the type of spot where conversations happen naturally — whether it’s about music, fashion, or business. If you’re looking for a night out that combines incredible live music, a lively crowd, and a one-of-a-kind retro vibe, this is the place to be. Whether you’re supporting local bands like I was, meeting new people, or just looking for a memorable night in Hollywood, Good Times at Davey Wayne’s delivers every time. Highly recommend! Walking into Good Times at Davey Wayne’s is like stepping into a time machine that lands you right in the middle of the 1970s, but with all the energy and culture of modern Los Angeles. From the moment you pass through the garage door entrance — which already sets the tone for a hidden gem experience — you’re surrounded by vintage décor, retro furniture, warm lighting, and a soundtrack that feels like pure nostalgia. The atmosphere is unmatched, and you immediately know you’re in for a special night. I came here to support some of the local bands performing, and the live music experience blew me away. The stage setup is intimate, allowing you to feel every beat and every lyric in a way that larger venues simply can’t replicate. You can tell that the management really cares about giving upcoming artists a platform to shine while still keeping the quality of the sound and performances top-notch. The crowd is always lively and engaged, dancing, clapping, and vibing along — it’s the type of energy that reminds you why live music is so important for a city’s culture. What makes Davey Wayne’s truly unique is how perfectly the retro vibe and live music complement each other. The shag carpets, old-school furniture, vintage posters, and overall design create an environment where you feel like you’re partying in your coolest uncle’s house back in the day. Pair that with live bands who bring raw talent and fresh energy, and you have a setting that balances nostalgia with creativity. It’s not just a bar or a club — it’s an experience where music and environment collide in the best way possible. The drinks are strong and crafted with care, and the bartenders add to the fun with their upbeat personalities. The outdoor patio gives you a chance to breathe in between sets, catch up with friends, or even network if you’re like me and always building relationships for your business. Running my merch company, Saka World Wide, I found myself not only enjoying the performances but also connecting with people who appreciate art, creativity, and community. It’s a reminder that venues like this aren’t just about entertainment — they’re hubs where culture and business can overlap naturally. Overall, Good Times at Davey Wayne’s is a one-of-a-kind venue in Hollywood that every music lover and culture seeker needs to visit. Whether you’re here to discover new bands, vibe to live performances, soak up the retro aesthetic, or just have an unforgettable night out, this place delivers on every level. It’s rare to find a bar this unique
This place is perfect for a vintage lover!! The DJ actually played oldies and not remixed oldies with house or rap. Please don’t change a thing with the music 🙏 Just good old classic dancing music. My friend and I had an incredible time and the atmosphere was so so good. We’ll definitely be back!
Unpretentious pub with crimson lighting, old-school decor, a jukebox & Thai entrees.
Felt like a dive bar with higher prices. Kentucky Lemonade… $22, chicken stripes and a coke $27. Cash only for cocktails… preferred card for food. ATM fee: $3.50
This is the only bar in Los feliz that serves Thai food! They have an updated karaoke you can manage through your phone (make sure to download the app) and points for having "Dawn don't go away by Frankie Valli and the four seasons." The ambiance is dark with lights all around. They have two TVs to watch sports. This is a classic bar in Los Feliz/Atwater and a must stop.
Lively tavern draws a crowd with budget drinks & bar bites, including wings & weekend breakfast.
This place doesn’t disappoint. The wings are really good on par to what you would find in Buffalo, NY. The service is friendly & bar has a local neighborhood vibe. The next time I’m in LA & want wings similar to what they have in the 716 this is my “go to” stop. Go Bills! 🦬
My first Google review ever!! Born and raised in la have been to ye rustic plenty of times but today was my first time in a whole. Food is amazing music is always good and vibes are always great but writing this because I had an amazing server who saved my ass!! I wish I had gotten her name but she was a short blonde girl with cheetah pants and they were great!! I left the restaurant and forgot my wallet at my table and she chased us down and RIGHT before we took off. Full sprint and everything and got me my wallet back 😭😭 I lose it a lot!! And so this was really meaningful to me!! I wish I could’ve tipped her more I gave her all the cash I had which unfortunately wasn’t a lot but they were awesome!! Whoever checks this tell them thank you!!!
I ordered the Ceaser Salad and added steak for protein. The Steak was soo good! I’m not sure if they make their own dressing but it was some of the best i have ever had. I also had the wings dry with the buffalo on the side and spicy tuna they were both great too! I will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Been in LA a long time and honestly hard to find a place that has amazing food and watch the games. The food always slaps and staff is amazing. Plenty of screens to watch the games and crowd is always great. I find myself coming in even when there’s no game on, the food is that good!
Contemporary brewpub with self-service tap beer, trestle tables, TVs & a modern American menu.
I like this place to stop by for a beer, maybe two, or I can get as much beer as desire. Unfortunately, today the kitchen was closed, but everything else was great! The customer service is amazing; they explain everything to understand how the system for the beer works since, when you arrive, you get a card to use to get the beer from a draft in a glass they provide. This is my second time coming to First Draft Taproom and Kitchen, and I will come back again for sure.
Spacious seating and very cute decorations. Draft beers were excellent. Lots of options. The peanut butter milk stout was delicious. Lavender lemonade cider was refreshing. Grilled shrimp skews and lemon pepper fried chicken were also very tasty. The dip were yummy.
Electronic music fans dance into the wee hours at this huge nightclub, housed in a historic theater.
There was a good party inside. Great music, the bartenders looked pretty, the club was not too full either. The entrance price was fine considering the place.
Great place architectural design is nice. The speakers sound great. Their lighting and laser shows are awesome. Their drinks are good, not too expensive and they have such beautiful female staff. Lol Each shows different but always a great time.
This club had a wild and energetic atmosphere true to its name. Music was high-energy and the crowd was super diverse and open. If you're into a bold and fun party scene this is definitely one of the more exciting nightlife spots in Hollywood.
Took a friend who was visiting from out of town here and it was lit. Def a good time. I’m a bit old school so the whole section and hookah culture is not for me but I still had a great time and bar tenders were very attentive.
1920s-style saloon with ornate, throwback decor offering haute classic cocktails.
A great dive bar/club with awesome music—I highly recommend it for a celebration or just a fun Friday night dance spot. The night we went, they had two rooms: one with a Daft Punk tribute featuring two DJs actually dressed like Daft Punk, spinning their music for a solid two hours. The other room had a Strokes tribute, so the DJ was playing early 2000s alternative rock—super fun and totally danceable. It’s located in East Hollywood, right in the heart of hipster territory, so no need to get too dressed up. The crowd is chill, and the vibe is very relaxed. Drinks weren’t too expensive and were definitely strong—so tread lightly! Overall, such a fun night. I’ll absolutely be back.
First timer last Saturday for a dual DJ theme night and was everything I hoped it would be. Didnt take long to realize I was not in Kansas (i.e. OC) anymore and that was exactly what I was looking for. All OC bars have become clones of each other all with bad Djs playing the same old rap songs you've heard a million times along with idiot F boys with bad hair cuts and rediculous neck chains. anyway, back to the Virgile. The size of the venue was perfect, not too big, not too small. The atmoshere was phanominal. Dark but with perfect lighting to make it cozy. Felt like I was in a 3D movie. Well organized by blocking space in front of the bar so you didn't have to fight through a sea of D bags to get a drink (like in OC). Crowd was definitely mixed but everyone was respectful and you felt free to be yourself. Already looking at the event calendar for my next visit. Will be back for sure. Note: The outside looks like an abandoned building and the area is sketch, but nice sketch for Hollywood area. There are 2 rooms, one larger than the other but I preferred the smaller room for the cool bar area.
Built in 1942, this dimly lit icon offers a vintage vibe with an art deco bar, dance floor & patio.
Opening at 5pm Boardners has become our local go-to for my husband and I as this was where our first date was. There is such a positive vibe to this place that makes me proud that this is the neighborhood I live in. The staff and patrons are artistic in every different type of cinematic field. Eli, Cat & Keenan are all equally amazing to us and always have been kind, consistent and fun to talk to. And can handle this sometimes very high volume barscape with ease. I recommend the entire menu but tend to ricochet between the steamed dumplings, the angel hair pasta and my favorite salad in town - their Cobb Salad - which happens to have been invented in Hollywood, so its nice that Boardners makes a solid one. Speaking of history, Boardners is that - from the classic Hollywood studio system era onwards this place has served the hard working people of the Motion Picture Industry and you can feel it. There is something special here that makes you want to stay the night, journal, meet new talented friends and enjoy the vibe as it opens up into a busy fun place. A true Actor & Musician hangout ! Every time I'm here I get into awesome conversation with talented and very funny people who are either writing their own content or just performed for the day on a set! The back courtyard is a great place to take guests who visit as it adds to the whole Hollywood vibe and hosts live music some nights and the acoustics are perfection for this.
As former locals we used to crawl home to our apartment on La Brea after a night of clubbing and inevitable nitecaps at Boardner's...its the safe Hollywood hangout you always wanted!
Spacious brick-walled spot with a big bar, tons of TVs, pizzas, wings & a sizable whiskey selection.
Such a cool place with great vibes, cool drinks, top tier music if you like pop rock with above and beyond service! Has a hidden private room in the bookshelf - great mix between modern and classic atmosphere
Food and drinks are great. The nachos were shockingly delicious and drinks were strong but tasty. Awesome management who did their best to accommodate a live-streamed concert and football. They even moved tables so we could dance! This bar does a lot of watch parties for things other than sports, so don’t get upset over another group’s happiness, there’s over 20 TVs, watch the one you like and have a good night:)
A South Beach vibe exudes on this rooftop bar with vintage flourishes & inventive cocktails.
We wanted to eat at a place with a view of the city that had a laid-back, relaxed atmosphere. We sat at the bar since it was just thentwo of us. The bar tender was attentive and helpful. We ordered the curry shrimp skewers, the fish tacos, the chicken sandwich, and some fried plantains. Overall, the food was good. The tacos had a great flavor, and the chicken sandwich was delicious (the slaw is what makes it). However, for $18, you only get two tacos. The shrimp skewers were bland. They lacked more curry flavor or flavor at all. I asked the bartender if the plantains were green or ripe (tostone style, salty, or maduro, sweet). She said sweet, but they were actually green. And for $5, you only get three. Skip them. For drinks, we got one of their tequila cocktails and glass white wine. Overall, stick with the burger or chicken sandwich. A lot of people ordered the burger, and it looked good. Come here for the views and drinks, not so much the food. It's way overpriced, and it's hit or miss.
Made a reservation here to have a nice rooftop terrasse view of LA. Nice view, cool that can you can access the pool. However, drinks were overpriced but bland. Also I was not pleased and uncomfortable to see the way we were charged- a credit card being "held" by the waitress before ordering the drinks and then having the waitress tip themselves 18% without asking us how much we would like to tip... we only read this 18% tip rule AFTER being charged as it was written on the bill. Would have been nice to knke before ordering about this tip. Quite ridiculous.
Laid-back USC hangout stays packed thanks to budget beer & happy-hour deals plus American bar bites.
I stop here a lot 2for1 till 9pm.Cant beat that deal! They play most all games and have multiple tve to view. Drinks and is fire and the staff are the best. I hits this bar maybe 3 time a week. Good for game and karaoke night. Great servant great environment down the street from USC.
Albert, Jason and Marcos are the best!!! The most friendly and excellent service you could ask for. The wings are a must!!! They know how to entertain, trust!
Splashy bowling alley & restaurant offering American grub, a sports bar, arcade games & more.
Great spot for a date or family time. However, if you’re a real bowler, It’s not the place. The balls wont ‘hook’ perfectly. They have great selection of appetizers - Pizza, Wings and fries. Cool bar area with lots of T.V.’s to watch the sports games. Pool tables and other fun games.
I’ve been here only twice: August 27 2025 and August 2024. Both times have been great! I love that there’s a variety of things to do here: bowling, karaoke, the bar, pool, the arcade. Would love to visit again
No-frills, old-school bar with a collegial vibe plus a pool table, Ping-Pong, sports on TV & tunes.
My favourite bar in L.A..mom’s bar, located along Santa Monica boulevard, Moms is a spacious yet intimate bar with friendly staff and security. Great selection of drinks and cocktails, ping pong table and outdoor patio. Open late, DJ plays on weekends creating a club atmosphere, Would highly recommend a visit to moms
Came here on a Sunday around 6:30pm and it was very quiet. I wanted to check out their Happy Hour. I have posted the menu they provided me (check out my photos in menu section) but the bartender told me that well drinks, domestic beer & drafts were $5, unlike the pictures I posted of the menu (provided by QR code).I guess I’ll find out for sure when the bill comes. The place is very dark…very dark. Also, there is NO FOOD (emphasized for those who don’t read this whole thing) ONLY drinks. Whoopee for the drinkers! If you want food there’s a 7-11 and a pizza place across the street. The best part, in my opinion, is that they have an outdoor patio area (see photo). Great place for drinks and just spending time with friends, your bestie, or a significant other! Tip: 1) Happy Hour 4pm-8pm every day 2) Patio Seating is brighter and airy 3) Eat before you get here 4) Bring a friend, otherwise you may look creepy
Mixologists whip up craft cocktails at this luxe nightspot with leather couches & a moody vibe.
Cool basement bar in downtown. Stylish interior with a good amount of seating. I went in for their Thursday night live jazz. It was a chill atmosphere. The band was good. The jazz starts around 8. Great to have a place like this keeping jazz alive in LA. Drinks are a little pricey but there's no cover so I think that's fair. Would definitely go again. Service was good. Friendly staff. There's street parking but it's probably easier to get one of the pay lots within a block or two.
Went for jazz night had a couple of drinks. The service was fine. They had a trio playing, and the space is nice, although it was better when it originally opened.
A former auto shop houses a sports bar with TVs & lots of craft beer plus a gastropub & garden.
I ordered the chicken nachos from Garage On Motor, and I was extremely disappointed with my order. The nachos arrived without cheese, without pico de gallo, which are essential components of a proper nacho dish. On top of that, there were only about five beans scattered, making it seem incomplete and very cheap for what I paid. Not only was the dish missing key ingredients, but it also felt rushed and poorly prepared. I expected a filling, flavorful meal, and instead received something that barely resembled what was advertised on the menu. Customer expectations and food quality really need to be taken seriously, especially when people are paying for a complete meal. I hope Garage On Motor can address these issues and improve consistency, because right now, this was very disappointing.
This is a great bar if you like sports... But I went on a football Sunday and bar seating was reserved for eagles fans for a certain time . Like the entire bar. I was there for the early game and my friends and I were kicked out of our seats when eagles fans showed up. They were super rude about it too!! So if you're not an eagles fan don't go there
Iconic venue. A must see if you're into alternative music. Many rooms, great sound system, great live music. Staff, mainly the bartenders could pay a little more attention to detail given the price of drinks and the overall wait times. Amazing place for live music.
It's ok, underwhelming. Beer selection sucks. 13 USD for a plain burger is criminal not even a slice of cheap kraft singles.
Lavish Mayan decor, pulsing eclectic beats & lucha libre matches at this tri-level dance club.
So glad I got to go for the last night. It was a big amazing party with great music and entertainment. The inside of this historic building is so beautiful and festive. I hope this place will open back up someday for more fun times.
The Mayan has closed for the time being. The people running the theater have given up ship. Word on the street is that the city or county may turn into a historic building, as they should. The Mayan is too beautiful to abandon. I feel fortunate to have attended back in the 90s until their last day. I really do hope they restore it and reopen it for the public to enjoy once again ;)
Drag shows & live bands are attractions at this gay-friendly nightspot with a Latin cowboy theme.
Truly the best atmosphere. Everyone is super nice. The show is amazing truly spectacular. Everything is great i highly recommend this club. The drinks are always great.
While not my usual cup of tea, I was here yesterday evening to meet up with members from a suit and tie Facebook men's group. As I arrived a little after 8 pm on a Saturday night, there was no cover charge but was told later by someone that they paid $10 cash to enter. The entire establishment is cash only but there is an ATM machine on each floor. There are also multiple restrooms on both floors as well. Unlike other reviewers, I found the bathrooms to be clean but this was just after they opened. The stairway to the second floor does not open until 9 pm and the upstairs patio taco place a little after that. This second floor patio has plenty of seating but on a chilly February evening there were no heat lamps present. There were, though, ash trays on the tables so I assume smoking was permitted. The little patio tacos that the nice older lady sells are $2 each; I enjoyed four of them - yum! :-) I cannot speak to the quality of their spirits as I didn't purchase any. What staff and patrons I encountered here were pleasant including the bouncer at the door and the security guard who patted me down at the entrance to check for weapons. There is a coat check station that is $3 to utilize. There are dance floors and and bar tenders on each level playing different music so if you don't like one, go check out the other. The second floor is larger and more modern with more seating but if you encounter long restroom lines, try the downstairs with less wait. This gay club's clientele are Spanish speaking cowboys. By the time I departed at 11 pm, it was crowded everywhere. I probably won't return here but only because it's not to my personal tastes for I don't frequent loud dance clubs nor imbibe alcohol . I have no complaints about my experience here but if you want to hold a conversation, your least noisy option is the patio furthest from the exits or the parking lot. This business appears to be doing a good job at serving its intended clientele. Hope this is helpful.
A Cuban-themed nightspot with a dress code offering a cigar lounge & burlesque-style salsa acts.
Awesome atmosphere! The whole Havana vibe gave me all the feels 😍 (2nd generation Cuban🇨🇺💃🏼.) The burlesque show was so fun! It was tasteful, beautiful and interactive. The band was incredible too. It was a great first time experience. My only suggestion is getting there early because it gets packed quickly and also a folding hand fan would come in handy ladies ( and gentlemen, if you wanna make a good impression 😉) because it gets really hot in there, plus it would go with the aesthetics. I'm planning on checking out their free salsa class on Tuesday night at 8:30pm with my boyfriend. Sounds like a great time. Can't wait!
La Descarga is a hidden treasure that offers one of the most authentic and immersive speakeasy experiences in Los Angeles. From the moment you step through the discreet entrance, you’re transported to a bygone era of charm, sophistication, and excitement. The venue’s ambiance is exquisite, reminiscent of Havana nights with its vintage decor, dim lighting, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The Cuban music is a standout feature, with live performances on weekends that are nothing short of electrifying. The musicians capture the heart and soul of Cuban rhythms, creating a vibe that’s impossible not to dance along to. And speaking of dancing, La Descarga takes it a step further with their breathtaking dance show. The performers exude passion and energy, seamlessly blending traditional Cuban styles with a touch of theatrical flair. It’s a captivating experience that makes the night feel truly special. This luxe lounge draws crowds with a small dance floor pulsing with hip-hop & cozy, intimate booths.
Went on a Sunday night for their reggae, dancehall dj set. The music was good but not enough people were dancing. The bartenders and staff were friendly and it was a decent vibe. I would try it again on a different night.
Swords was so awsome with service & I am definitely coming back cause of his hospitality & service towards us thanks Swords !!!!
Super fun bar with great atmosphere, drinks, and a great crowd. We're not big country fans but we do love the live band. They do a mix of traditional country songs and classic rock covers, and there's some mainstream pop they play over the speakers when the band takes a break. The first time we went, we got there about 9pm and there was no line. The second time, we got there around 10pm and the line was pretty long but moved fairly quickly. We were in the bar after maybe 25-30 minutes.
Great place! Awesome people ✨ & great Vibes 😎 happy hour is the best time to come !!
This traditional Latin dance club opens the floor to a young, hip crowd for DJ-driven parties.
Excellent music, great drinks available, and dancing. Can be a bit edgy for some, alcohol and tempers, mostly. The security takes such things VERY seriously and quickly, so definitely come correct or attend elsewhere if you're looking for a more relaxed environment. Good times to be bad here for sure, I had a blast and the music was muy caliente, no doubt. 🕺🎶
Pretty good bar in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Surprisingly large, with a large indoors seating and standing area, as well as a large outdoors seating area. My group arrived around 5:30pm and there was more than enough room for us. I heard the drinks are great. Didn’t see any food offerings, though. Recommendable for large groups.
Curated cocktails served in a posh bi-level space accented by leather banquettes & chandeliers.
Cool sports bar that plays football on television Sand has a ping-pong table really nice atmosphere. Definitely a cool place to sit down and chill out.
Served underage women. Security wouldn't let us find/help the friends we came with when ee got separated at one of the tables. They kicked us out after someone had invited us up to the VIP section to look for them
Sleek penthouse nightclub featuring an open air dance floor, skyline views & plenty of couches.
I celebrated my birthday at Elevate Lounge last night with all my friends, and I have to say, it's the best club and bottle service in town! The views of downtown are incredible, and the staff is very friendly. If you’re looking for a great time and want to dance with your friends, I highly recommend Elevate. You’ll dance the whole night and enjoy the stunning views of downtown. Trust me! You will have the time of your life at elevate!
I know it’s literally DTLA but it shouldn’t feel like DTLA inside a club. This club feels ghetto, unsafe, and unwelcoming. I was searched horribly, the guy barely patted me down. The people walking around inside literally asking for trouble and the security guards who will point at a sign saying they aren’t responsible for anything. The other reviews talking about people getting beat up. I came with a group of 4 and 1 of them lost their phone. Something that happens I guess but when we spoke to security they told us there was already over 12 reported incidents of stolen phones. Nothing they can do. We spoke to the manager of Elevate Lounge, Brandon Bell, @brandonbellofficial, who we couldn’t get a single answer from and wasn’t willing to help us gain access to the cameras. He got belligerent once we pointed out that 12 stolen iPhones in one night is not a coincidence. That was it, he yelled the whole time and I turned my back to him. I spoke with security for the building themselves about what can be done and they told me this is an occurrence every time the lounge has a big event. I would 100% avoid this place again and not to mention that the drinks were over $20 each.
Eastside haunt draws a mixed crowd with beer & tequila shot specials, jukebox tunes & free peanuts.
Good beers, great service and good, clean, no frills space. In fact it's a perfectly square room that's about 50% bar which is a solid ratio because that's where the drinks come from and you're sure to get one shortly after stepping foot inside. It's basic in the perfect way. Other than that, it gets pretty rowdy on weekends and for big games too. Sometimes they blow the AC too hard but that's better than the opposite. And they make up for any flaws with free peanuts.
Went to Gold Room with my sister but the doorman refused to let us in with no explanation. Just weird energy and attitude. We left and laughed about it. Definitely not worth going back.
Hopping nightspot offering Latin American music, dancing & cocktails since 1972.
No parking , place looks filthy. Girls seem rude when approaching. I don't like that vibe so I won't be going back there.
Really nice place specially on Thursdays...
Splashy DJ-fueled club with rotating art installations, bottle service & street-food-inspired bites.
Great ambiance. The sounds and lights were setup very well. Not tryna be weird but the scent of the whole club was refreshing and clean.
Beautiful club, clean bathrooms, great sound, amazing DJs the night we went (Ferreck Dawn, Kai Song) and the light show was so well done like Vegas level light show. It got super packed towards the end of the night which was annoying but we also expected it. We used the Discotech app to get on the guest list for the free before 11 option.
Huge 4-level nightclub pulses with electronic dance music in former LA Stock Exchange building.
Exchange LA quickly became a staple for my husband and I since we started regularly attending events, festivals etc. There is no club quite like it. Off the top: The art deco architecture is breathtaking. Events here have the perfect blend of crowd energy feeding into the DJ, and there are plenty of spaces to get away from the high energy to take breaks. From the bottom of my heart: We have made many friends here, and the staff and security are phenomenal as well. I have always felt safe at Exchange LA, and knew there were other folks looking out for me. Not just fellow ravers, but really--the people who work here must be angels. It might go unnoticed by many others, but I see the bathroom attendants who hand extra paper towels to the girls cleaning off their smudged makeup in the mirror. I see the security guards keeping an eye out for folks who might start to sway or stumble around after the last drink they downed a little too fast. Not to mention, I don't know how we didn't know this before, but they have HOT COFFEE AVAILABLE on your way out after the show. FOR FREE! And it's pretty darn good for driving home at 3am, since my usual bedtime is 10pm. I didn't think the place could get any better! We truly always have a great experience here, and that isn't just by chance when you've been to the same club more than a few dozen times. Shout out to Rydell, Jackie, Manger, Journey, and so many others that have contributed to a wonderful time here had by both of us. EXLA feels like family!
Exchange is a great place, but I understand it can be frustrating to deal with the doormen, especially the bald guy with glasses, Jose and Ashker. As they told me I have to smoke outside so I step out and when I was done with my cigarettes they refused me to come in unless I pay them something cash they try to make money under a table. Thank you so Much for General manager Armen for letting me in After I told him what they are doing.
Established in 1974, this vibrant club features live Latin music, DJs & dancing.
Just went this past Saturday sept 20. Probably the worst night ever. This place used to be packed. This night the DJ was horrible n his mix of music sucker. The waitress didn't even come to our table to services us had to go the bar. They used to have food but no menu seen. Not coming back.
Becarful with the skinny white waitress curly hair . She is keeping the change. I bought two margaritas 🍹 for $21.00 I gave her 40.00 she never comeback with 19.00. She put it in her pocket. That's is not right 😕
Vibrant hot spot featuring well-known electronic dance music DJs & experimental emerging talent.
Academy is a always a good time! The led panels are fun and I like how much outdoor space there is. It would be nice if they had a better sound system outside so the artist could be enjoyed while out there as well.
Great venue with AMAZING production. Sound system is great and the lights and full ceiling panels were so fun. It’s a club so drinks are expensive and the service is slow. At around 2am they put out free water cups once the bar is closed. Would highly recommend for any tech house they have playing there.
Sophisticated nightclub with handcrafted cocktails in the basement of a 1920s beaux arts bank.
Absolutely top-notch bouncer! From the moment we arrived, he was professional, calm, and clearly in control. Fernando was polite and even offered directions to the restroom when my friend asked. Inside, I saw him handle a potentially disruptive situation with impressive diplomacy and ensured everyone's safety without causing a scene. He's a real asset to The Reserve and made us feel secure and welcome. Definitely had a great time and will be back soon! Thank you for your hospitality.
This was a solid club overall and the entrance fee was around $20 I believe with a great crowd overall. The location is very large with two main rooms, hip hop and Latin/dance. There wasn’t too much of a line and it got good later in the night around 11:30. Dress code was pretty lax but fashionable and it’s a solid location. Service was cool and our bartender Clarissa was very accommodating. I’d definitely come back again. Parking is very limited and Uber is recommended.
Modern nightspot with colorful decor offering DJ'd music, dancing & karaoke nights.
I've been here before and had fun but I went back on July 4th with my friend from out of town, trying to show him a good time, and after waiting in line for about 20 minutes they tried to charge us $40 each to get in. They were charging anyone else before or behind us. We were the only Latinos in line. I can't help but feel they didn't really want us in. Won't be going back. Sucks because i live for their afrobeat nights.
Monday night vibes! The crowd, the energy, the live karaoke sessions! Drinks are so so. $$$ my friend paid $23 for a drink in a small plastic cup. I don't think it's worth $23. Entry was $20 even on a guest list. Male or female. My roomie was a regular, so I finally gave it a try. It was full to me but the roomie said, its usually more crowded. There were a lot of beautiful black woman. I noticed the woman more than the men. 😅 I'd recommend it for a fun Monday night. :)
Bustling, bi-level nightclub featuring regular sets by DJs, electronic musicians & rappers.
I didn't have any food, the club was dope though. They had 3 bars a large bathroom that went into the dance floor but the door are just a hall so if you use the men's room women will just walk through thinking it's a hall to the bar. Happened several times and became a conversation starter at the bar. Overall I enjoyed my night and would go back.
Did a private bday party here and they were so nice and helpful. Everyone loved the venue and some being their first time there. Mine included. We rented the noise room + the tavern. I would rent this place again.
Nightclub drawing Latin & indie dance crowds with regular live music & DJ events.
I attended the Sexy Nerds event on September 27, 2025. First off, good luck finding parking. You better Uber or something if you want to make it here. Secondly, the bar doesn't take cash, and that's kind of ass. I had to escape to find a nearby bar to spend my money. Thirdly, you might not be let back in if you leave. Fortunately, security was pretty cool and let me back into the event. That being said, I just don't feel as though this venue has much to offer above any other.
I attended a Candy Pop party here, and it was a good experience. The theme and organization were on point, and while the venue isn’t huge, the spacious smoking patio on the ground level is a nice bonus. The bartenders were friendly and kept the line moving, and the drinks were made with decent alcohol, though the pricing was inconsistent — I paid $10 and $20 for the same drink within an hour. Security and staff were friendly, which added to the good vibes. Overall, it’s a solid spot for theme dance parties and small concerts.
Footwear chain selling stylish everyday & sport shoes, plus bags, wallets & belts.
Return policy for guests of dj are unreasonable. I was added to the list late and not given refund after they finally confirmed I was to be comped. The base is good, but simply having loud music doesn't mean a good sound system. We should be able to talk and hear each other while still feeling the music. There is no place you can relax your ears except the outside smoking section. Once your inside, they don't allow you to leave and come back even if you forgot something.
This place could be so much better, but… it’s not! I organized a private party for my daughter’s birthday. We decided on a budget and signed a contract (so far so good). I will refrain to discuss every detail and focus only on what I think went unacceptably wrong. Since the agreement, the contract kept changing as the date of the party got closer (of course not in our favor); the usual excuses were “my mistake…I did not know … your budget is limited (although my budget was the same for the entire time). We had about 50 invitees. I will not discuss the other charges but just for the food (excluding the drinks) we agreed to pay $20/person (which is NOT cheap) to have 3 types of appetizers for the adults sitting outside in the patio and 3 types (sliders, chicken kebab and zucchini fries) for the youngsters dancing inside. In the contract was clearly specified that each person would get 2-3 pieces of each appetizer. For the adults it would be a buffet style in a reserved area, while for the people inside the waiters (which we paid for) would pass the appetizers around for 1-hour. The day of the event, no waiter stationed in the patio knew about the party, there was no reserved area nor a buffet style table set up for us. The worst part is that they did not pass the appetizers inside, they only placed 1-type (the sliders) at the bar and merely enough to get 1 to 2 per person (it should have been 2-3 pieces of 3 types = 6-9). I guess Club Couture is weak in math! I instructed the teens to brag about having the most expensive, single slider in Los Angeles ($20). When I voiced my disappointment I was told that they were “surprised”, they “did not know what happened”, and “it’s the chef” oh, “it’s another chef” one, they never used before (because of my budget…you know…). My understanding is that they were about to finalize a contract for another party (a Bar Mitzvah) and I believe they were just delaying the posting of my review as now they have stopped responding without ever offering an explanation for what happened (nor – of course – any form of refund). So “BAR MITZVAH PEOPLE” if you have just signed a contract and you are reading this, BE AWARE, they will ask you for a deposit and then to pay the entire amount before the event is over; DON’T DO IT!!! Pay the balance at the end, after they feed you or the “new” chef will flee with your money and the food. The 2-stars are for the music which was good and the people (waiters, DJ, bouncer, etc.) who – despite all – were very nice. With a little more honesty and organizational skills and most of all with a truly new chef (it’s always the chef … or the butler…) this place could be great for private parties, but ‘till then I would look for a more professional venue; it is unpleasant to spend a lot of time and money to organize your event and be left with even a single bad memory. There are many other better places to choose from; think wisely, plan carefully and have fun!
Lively nightclub in a contemporary setting featuring weekly Latin nights & Hip Hop parties.
Loved this venue staff knew what they were doing and treated people with respect the way it should be! If you’re in LA check this place out :-)
DO NOT COME HERE!!!! My guy friend and I had the worst experience. They charge $40 at the door if it’s after 11pm on Saturdays. They also charge you $60 just so u can hang out in the “vip” section which is just in the middle section of the club. That does not include drinks or anything. It’s just for u to hangout and dance. Honestly it’s not worth the money. I had the worst experience ever, I’m never coming back again.
Celebrity-friendly luxury club with eclectic DJs, a vast dance floor & a party atmosphere.
We been there last night for the Mambo craze Cabaret show. It's very low quality show, don't waste your time and money. The bar uses the cheapest alcohol for cocktails and charge over $30 per drink.
I took my cousin and her friends here for her bday Saturday night and overall we had a great time. Amazing music selection & DJ, the lights, & the whole club setting was amazing. The guest list is bogus though!!! I put our group on two different guest list and was in line early at 10pm and did not get in free or discounted. Also, they overcharged me for my drinks. I bought two long islands that were 16$ on the receipt but when I checked my bank statement, I was charged 20$!!!!! Smh. The dance floor was extremely crowded it was difficult to really dance but we still made the best out of it. I will be open to come back, but I wouldn't suggest throwing your party here unless you purchase a table. Also the bouncers can be pretty rude. One bouncer guy literally grabbed me from behind forcefully to get me out his way which was unnecessary.
