It's one of the best black dive bars in the east. It could definitely use some refurbishment. Fully stocked alcohol; limited mixers; strong pour. For the most part mature crowd; people who like to drink, vibe, and have a good time. Always remember it's in the Hood; and technically anything could pop off at any moment. Great juke box with new and old jams.
It's a great place to chill out with no drama right in our own neighborhood. It's an older crowd. Good friendly people, the staff is great. It's like the bar from "Cheers", but in Oakland 🥰
Fun times in a chill spot with a great bartender! This is kinda a little hole-in-the-wall dive bar, not really trendy or hip - but the people are friendly and drama-free. If you go on a Sunday night you will be served by the coolest bar tender - a groovy mama named Sam who will TAKE CARE OF YOU and HOOK YOU UP! She is very welcoming and fast to crack a joke or step out on the dance floor - she'll even teach you "the wobble" if you don't know it! I definitely recommend this spot for drinks with your drama-free crowd, or if you need a welcoming bartender to get you through a rough day!
