Have only been here once after walking by so many times but will be back! Came on a Thursday afternoon and they had trivia night! My friend and I had their apple cider and I had the pineapple cider, both delicious but I liked the pineapple one more! It was sweeter and fruitier. The bar is very nice, seating at the bar, tables, outside in the back and in the front. There’s a decent amount of seating and it was packed when we came. Service was great, staff were nice, and the energy was great. I’d want to come to try some of their food options and spend some more time enjoying the space.
i appreciated the staff accommodating me and making me a vegan grilled cheese. it was delish! lots of things on tap, and a super cute patio. trivia was very fun!!
Cool vibe, but not worth it on event nights Tom’s Watch Bar definitely has a cool setup. With the TVs everywhere, it makes it a fun place to catch a game or meet up with friends. My group and I stopped by before the Disturbed concert at Golden 1 Center next door. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the atmosphere. The place was way too crowded when we went. It was so hot inside, it felt like the A/C just couldn’t keep up. Sitting outside with the misters probably would’ve been the better move. Because it was packed, the service was very slow, like VERY SLOW. we waited quite a while for everything. They have a solid drink and beer selection, but the food left a lot to be desired. We tried the nachos, burgers, Jamaican wings, and dill pickle battered chicken tenders. Everyone in our group agreed the food was just okay. I was especially disappointed with the chicken tenders. 3 out of 5 were more batter than chicken, which was a letdown. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend going here when there’s a concert or game at Golden 1. It seems like the staff just can’t keep up with the crowd. Maybe it’s better on a regular night, but as far as pre-event spots go, this one didn’t hit the mark.
Bella is absolutely amazing! From the moment I sat down, she made me feel welcome and taken care of. She’s not only skilled behind the bar, but her energy, warmth, and attentiveness truly set her apart. You can tell she loves what she does, and it shows in every drink she makes and every conversation she has. If you’re lucky enough to catch her behind the bar, you’re in for a great experience. Do yourself a favor—visit Bella and make sure to tip her well. She deserves it!
This wine bar is so cute and perfect for date night or a small group of friends (2-4 people). The bar is intimate and moody on the inside, beautiful wall full of wine selections, and cute seating by the back wall, the window, or at the bar. The staff are very friendly and can help you figure out what wine to try. They have some outdoor seating as well which is nice and great if you come with more than just one other person. My friend and I tried some white wine and we were happy with the recommendation give to us. I’ll definitely be back to try their cocktails and the food they have on their menu.
Cool Atmosphere Cool People Cool Wines. Alec welcomed us in and we sat at the bar to enjoy the wine and the atmosphere. It’s perfect for date night, either with a partner or a Self Care date because everyone deserves a good glass and this place has plenty. Cheers 🍷
It's a bar with not much too offer. It was fun stopping in but just for a quick drink and move on. We had Not your Father's Root beer float and some curly fries. It was a fun alcoholic treat. Staff was friendly enough for a bar, noting stood out. Ooo and they allow kids in 😳. I'm glad no kids were there at the time we visited but just FYI if your looking for a grown up bar... This is not it. Unless it's dark I guess. {Shrugs} Glad we stopped in but it's nothing special.
10/10 Love this place. I went on a Sunday night around 1am and the vibes were chill. Danny our Bartender was so cool and accommodating. He makes really good cocktails and is very nice. They have an arcade towards the back of the bar, fuuun! For me the Photobooth topped it off cause I love being able to capture those special moments to look back on. Will definitely be back, especially to try your food 🙏
Franks: Consistently Excellent Cocktails in a Sophisticated Setting I've been to Franks several times now, and each visit reinforces the same conclusion: this place knows how to make a perfect drink. Every cocktail I've ordered has been exceptionally well-balanced and genuinely delicious – a testament to skilled bartenders who clearly care about their craft. The atmosphere is another major draw. It's dimly lit, creating a high-class yet low-key vibe that's perfect for a relaxed evening. There's a certain understated elegance to the space that makes it feel special without being pretentious. My wife jokingly (mostly!) says, "It's a good place to take your mistress," which speaks to the intimate and somewhat discreet ambiance. Whether you're looking for a quiet drink with a close companion or simply want to enjoy a top-notch cocktail in a refined setting, Franks is an excellent choice. Highly recommended.
Frank is a hidden bar. You can easily miss their front door if you don't know where they are or are not paying attention. They're a cash-only bar. So, bring cash with you or stop at the ATM first. The bar is pretty small inside. The bartender takes care of the cash register altogether. She is swamped but still offers enjoyable services. The drinks are good, and the prices are lined up with the bars in the area.
Solid choice for whisky, great flights and a top 15 old fashioned in Sacramento. Food was a swing and a miss. Prime Rib Sliders were burnt beyond recognition and forgot the onions. They would have been 10x better just serving a plain Kings Hawaiian Roll with zero filling.
Fantastic spot! The bar offers an outstanding selection of fine whiskeys, and the bartender — special shoutout to Denys — gave excellent recommendations that matched my taste perfectly. His expertise really stood out. Whether you’re winding down after a long day at work or kicking off the weekend, this is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great drink.
Benny’s, Q Street Bar & Grill is a staple bar in town. Lots of really great times here. Drinks are solid and priced well. The large back patio is perfect for large groups. Play a game of corn hole, or watch the game and have a drink. -Anthonyxibarrax
Everyone here is friendly and good spirited. Drinks are good and service is quick. Love the atmosphere and closeness it brings. I'll have to go back for food one of these days.
Stylish indoor-outdoor joint serving a wide variety of housemade beers alongside hearty BBQ fare.
The place is large, has indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly for outside seating. I ordered to-go for lunch on a Thursday. The wait was a bit longer than I expected since they had just opened for the day. The self serve sauce bar makes me uneasy, from a hygiene perspective. Anyone can contaminate the whole batch should they open the lid and talk, spit or do whatever else they want to it. I know it’s easy to do it this way, but you never know with people these days. Ordered the brisket and pulled pork sandwich, came to about $60. I would go back for the food, however it is overpriced. The beer selection looks really good. There’s also a small wine selection as well.
The Real Deal is Urban Roots Brewery & Smokehouse which delivers on outstanding BBQ flavors and fun atmosphere! Firstoff, let’s begin with the service which was good, but the wait to be able to order took a long time on a Saturday lunch. The wait after ordering took a bit as well. I would be prepared during a lunch or dinner be there for a bit. I have to say the rest is worth the wait. Second, the atmosphere and vibe are outstanding. Rustic looks and lots of seating inside and outside, seating for large groups. The decor fits the bbq world, lots of fun, and meat education. Thirdly and lastly, the Food, Yes!!! The bbq here is outstanding, full of flavor, beers are amazing, huge variety of beers and family style foods and single plates as well! I didn’t get time to rate everything so I will update this on the next go around! I will be back with an update I hope so!! Must try!!!
Beer-focused pub that features a unique & challenging indoor miniature-golf course.
Really fun and friendly mini golf with both ground course and table-top version. Yummy food (mostly Mexican style), great bar with large selection of beer on tap, and special events such as trivia night and drag bingo.
We went on a Saturday night. No, wait, lots of space. It was kind of empty, but I'm not sure how saturday nights are. It's in a busy area with a couple of bars right across the street. A lot of chairs and seating area to gather. Food was ok-in terms of options available, got the party nacho with chicken. It was pretty good. Was disappointed there were no fries!! I know, I know, I'm basic, but how can you have this type of environment and vibes, without any potatoes?!!! Anyways, we did the mini golf - the area allocated is kind of small in comparison to the rest of the space. It felt a little oddly situated. I just figured it would've encompassed a larger area in the site. Golf clubs available - seems like they got a bunch of random types of clubs donated to use. Overall, experience was a little flat.
EDIT: A year later, I know this is the best cocktail bar in Sacramento. Alex is a talented bartender, meticulous with service, friendly, and extremely consistent--something I can't find in any other bar unless the drinks are over $15 apiece. These cocktails are creative and well-balanced every single visit. I prefer to go on on weekdays when it's chill. The entire menu is good. All hits, no misses. Even the seasonal promo drinks menu is fantastic. Extremely good cocktails. I especially liked the Bee's Knees and the Gin Fizz, which were carefully prepared. The whiskey slushie was also delicious and nicely balanced sweetness vs. freshness. Beautiful in the glass. Clean interior. Dark and moody bar. A comfortable place to hang out. Definitely coming back.
I got to say, this is definitely one of the best cocktail bars that I've been too. I always get excellent customer service and the drinks are absolutely amazing. The Saturn, Flameway Pho, Rattlesnake, old fashioned, Bubbling Over, (Vegan) Fizz, etc. it's all delicious. 100% recommend.
Cozy sports bar with a British vibe pairing eclectic eats with a rotating tap of local brews.
Great beer selection, both on tap and in bottles. Food was really delicious, and the decor had a classic (and authentic) pub feel. This is not a hipster bar, it's a charming, old, charming bar, and that's what makes it so awesome. Servers were nice, food came out quickly, prices were awesome. I would recommend the Cornish pasty and the cottage pie, both were really yummy. Lots of regulars here, so you know it's good. If you're looking for a hipster bar, go somewhere else; if you're looking for a warm, friendly neighborhood bar, you can't beat this place.
Great British dive pub. The staff is very friendly and they have lots of beer and a few glasses of wine from which to choose. It's no frills and very old school. So old school that I don't think it's been changed much in terms of decor for many decades. The only reason why I don't give it a five-star is because it's grimy. Even though dive bars are supposed to be grimy this place has more of a feel of a British pub and there's no reason it can't be clean like Devere's or Streets of London. But still I would go back because it's fun and the staff is fantastic.
I was referred over here by a very nice bartender from Shipwrecked! He did NOT disappoint in the recommendation!!! The place lived up to its name being placed in a tight, cozy back corner. You have to know where you're going, or you'll definitely walk right it! Inside though, it's very spacious! The bartenders/mixologists are INCREDIBLY knowledgeable and very welcoming! He made some drinks based on my personal preferences of Tequilas and Mezcals that were AMAZING! Then, he made a snack concoction to go with the drinks that were pure DELIGHT! I will DEFINITELY be back again!
Spent a perfect afternoon reading outside. Ambiance is relaxing, staff incredibly kind and attentive - overall lovely time. My go to spot in Sacramento moving forward.
Have been here a few times now and it’s always been a very chill place when I’ve gone. My cousin likes coming here and has been here in busier nights and has also had great times. The bar is divey, has pool tables, great priced drinks, and the bartenders are great. I’d recommend this place if you don’t want to go downtown/midtown but want somewhere to hang out with your friends that’s not gonna break the bank.
Great locals bar with welcoming staff! They always have a good variety of beer on tap and daily drink specials. There’s usually plenty of seats at the bar or at any one of the nearby tables. They have two pool tables a ski ball table and a pinball machine. They always have several sports games playing on the four different TVs. They also have a modern jukebox so you can play anything you want from your phone call. The staff is very nice and always up for a good conversation. I highly recommend this bar if you’re in this side of town!
Modern speakeasy with a vintage vibe & live music, plus seasonal Southern bites & classic cocktails.
It was a WHOLE vibe!!! It's dark and moody with an excellent music selection from the early 90s. Our bartender (& now new BFF) Lindsay took care of us from the moment we walked through the door until we left (many hours later)! Lindsay gave us the BEST drink selections with recipes she came up on the spot! They were incredibly well balanced and had you feeling really NICE!😉👌🏾 ANYTIME we come back to Sac, we will DEFINITELY make a pit stop here!!!
If I'm in Sacramento looking for a bar to have a drink or relax, if I want to chat with a few friends over drinks and yummy snacks, The Shady Lady Saloon is a good choice. It is located in an area with lots of good restaurants and activities at night or on weekends. The bartenders here are very friendly. The Shady Lady Saloon also has nice indoor and outdoor seating, perfect for a couple or a group of friends. Nice bar, nice people here!
Warm haunt in a 1910 Craftsman house with globally inspired pub grub, craft beers & outdoor seating.
As a grueling work week comes to a close, there is nothing like celebrating a Friday-eve (I didn’t know that this was a thing until I entered the corporate world) over some happy hour drinks and bites. To catch-up with a friend, we decided to meet at Kupros Craft House…an establishment in which I’ve heard many good things about! Upon entering the establishment, we were warmly greeted by an employee who was wiping the bar counter in what was a fairly empty bar (we arrived 20 minutes prior to the start of happy hour). Once 4pm arrived, we ordered the following: two margaritas (these are not considered happy hour drinks-but there was a slight discount on them), the Tot’s ‘N’ Sauce (me), and the house mac n cheese (friend). Although I was not terribly hungry, the tots with jalapeño dipping sauce (as recommended by one of the employees) was delicious and did a great job of soaking up the tequila! The employee that assisted us made a well-crafted, flavorful margarita (so flavorful that I ordered a second one for myself). While my friend and I chatted, a nice crowd of folks started filing in and a nice playlist of early 2000’s pop music filled the air. Although there was a little crowd, it did not change how attentive and engaging staff were.
Decent beer selection with hefeweizen, red ale, sour, etc. not all IPAs like most beer bars these days. Decent tots but more expensive than other bars in the grid for the amount (shareable for 2 servings vs. 3-4). Upstairs was hot but downstairs was comfortable. Pretty busy and skews young/college-aged on a Friday evening.
Came here with a friend for their Love Island watch party and it was both our first times here. This is a smallish dive bar off a kind busy road but don’t write it off as somewhere you can’t have a good night at. The inside bar area is kinda small but you can tell there’s regulars that have made this their go to. They have a karaoke touch tunes machine and a pool table. There’s tvs on the inside and outside, and the outdoor area is great! It’s very spacious and they have a covered portion. There’s also a picnic table in the front you could sit at too. We got the one of the drink specials and it was tasty, the fries we ordered came out hot and crispy. The energy was awesome with how many people showed up for the watch party and this would definitely be a cool place for a laid back night out. They have a pretty nice food menu, lots of beer and wine, soju, and you can tell they have fun events centering sports. Also apparently female owned! The only hitch for me was the parking mostly because it was so busy but I was able to park nearby. Definitely will want to come back!
I came in for Ozzy Osbourne Karaoke for my birthday and had some beers and everyone was charming and the owner was helpful. Next time ill try some take out. Thank you Mariah and your lovely staff.
Landmark alehouse offering classic English dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus entertainment.
Oh, Dog & Duck, how I miss you! This was my college Celtic music hangout back in the day, well before the restaurant expansion. I am delighted that the food quality has remained so high - my Cornish pasty was delicious and enough for two meals! My companions likewise were able to eat twice off one meal - just as delicious the following day. Service has also remained unparalleled, fast, friendly, and efficient. Happy tummy, happy memories!
Good sized portions of tasty breakfast classics served in a spacious historic building. Espresso drinks were a bit iffy, but good hot chocolate was great.
Suave, midcentury joint serving American classics like steak frites & 1950s throwback cocktails.
Ten Ten Room is a great cocktail bar in downtown Sacramento with a strong mix of style, quality drinks, and good vibes. The interior is beautiful—mid-century-inspired with a cozy, upscale lounge feel. There’s plenty of seating inside and a nice outdoor patio that’s perfect for a quieter afternoon visit. One of the best parts of this spot is the happy hour. They offer $3 shots and $7 premium cocktails, which are bartender’s choice. It’s a great deal, especially considering the overall quality. The cocktails are well-crafted and balanced, and the bartenders clearly know what they’re doing. We’ve visited a couple of times—once in the evening when the bar was lively and buzzing, and again on a Tuesday afternoon around 4 PM, which was more laid-back and mellow. Both experiences were solid. Sitting outside with drinks during golden hour was a highlight. Service is friendly and efficient. The bartenders are approachable and skilled, making the whole experience feel welcoming without being too casual. If you’re into good drinks, a cool atmosphere, and a generous happy hour, Ten Ten Room is definitely worth checking out.
hole-in-the-wall vibe with some class, really fun staff, and good music every time. I’m usually skeptical of the food at places like this but I loved literally everything I had. drinks are delicious. chairs are terrible but everything else about this place makes it more tolerable. :)
Sports bar & eatery serving pub grub & cocktails in a quirky, relaxed space with numerous TVs.
Outstanding establishment! Commend the new ownership. Highly recommend. It's impressive to see owners working alongside their employees. A wide variety of food options with speedy service. Also Very accommodating with all the space inside and patio, with tons of TV options. Double bonus they now have a backroom available to rent for private parties as well.
This place is over the top FUN! Fantastic drinks, great food, awesome atmosphere, the best servers, decent prices, topped off with 3 amazing owners - what more could you ask for?
This modern, garage-style hangout with a patio offers 30 unique brews on tap, along with pub grub.
The food was reasonably priced and tasty! Highly recommend the Dip Trio, it was delicious! Each sandwich we ordered was very good … the French dip, the Ruben, and the cheese steak…. I recommend this spot for as a good place to watch your favorite team! Stop by and try it !
Excellent small bites we tasted. Super friendly staff and they welcome dogs. Two good size TVs turned on sports all the time. We watched the life men’s tennis, while others enjoyed golfing. Three types of rooms: enclosed, semi open, and outdoor.
Dinner with live blues, soul & rock ‘n’ roll shows in a casual setting with VIP booths & a patio.
Great experience for my first time visiting and will definitely back. Music was great! They do have an opportunity with alcoholic drinks. The drinks were not made well, in my opinion. Very heavy with the booze which made it hard to drink. I would have purchased more alcohol had they been made properly. The security guy was helpful and friendly. The patio area was beautiful. I can't wait to come back!
What a great small venue! The bar has some great drinks as well as a good selection of beer on tap. The food looked really good, I didn't have any though. This standing room only intimate space is a really cool way to see any artist.
Low-key watering hole since 1934 offering cocktails, casual American fare & regular live music.
Was walking around and stumbled in for lunch, best hamburger I have had in a long time! Great service and great old school atmosphere, give them a try you won’t be disappointed!
Had a fun time watching Minor Fiasco play!!! Sound was great! Really like the bar atmosphere and the feel of the place. You could feel the nostalgia. Loved all the PBR stuff!!! Would have been 5 stars but needs a small late night menu. Christian was a cool bartender too!
California-style bar offering a range of cocktails as well as brunch specials & global small plates.
Came here for the first time with a friend recently & had to leave a review for the phenomenal service. Manny & Andres were superb! I asked for a drink recommendation for something cutesy & I was blown away!!! My drink looked like a beautiful oasis I almost didn’t want to drink it. Great ambiance & vibes here!! Coming back Wednesdays for the $2 oysters! Thanks again Manny & Andres for the remarkable service that made our experience here so fun!
My 1st visit. The wife had been here a few weeks ago and wanted me to try it. We were given a menu, but literally, none of the food was available, no deviled eggs, no pork belly tacos, and the sushi bake she had previously was no longer offered, etc. Why have them out on the tables and the bar? Eric saved the night as I was ready to leave after one drink as I was not in the mood for tacos. We had not eaten all day and relented and ordered the happy hour tacos. They were great, but I have never met a taco I didn't like. The wife is not a fan, but liked these. Eric came out with chips and guacamole, which they had run out of. Apparently, he made it or had it made for us. We stayed for a few rounds and even had more tacos. Thanks Er'ik!
Welcoming, friendly bartender. Decently clean for a dive (no sticky bar or tables). The PBR tastes soapy/flat compared to the draft PBR I order at every other bar. Made me wonder about the lines. Sierra Nevada tasted fine. One pool table was covered on a Friday night, but a decent spot overall.
A dive bar in mid town sac. The drinks and foods is awesome. The ground beef tacos is very flavorful and delicious. Bomb!!! Peter the bartender is very friendly and superb!! Highly recommend. Stop by and check it out.
Cocktails & a limited menu of bar food offered in a humble, old-timey space with a jukebox.
The flame club has been in Midtown Sacramento for as long as I can remember. In fact, I bet it hasn’t changed since the day it opened sometime who knows when. It’s a great dive bar, if you want a stiff drink with a small price tag and a bartender that will listen to you cry.
No food served here and for it to be a bar it closes at 4pm...I think they open at 7 or 8 for coffee but again it's a bar the drinks are kinda cheap and strong
I stopped by this place just to use the restroom I thought to myself oh, this is a really nice place. I might start coming here. Come out after using the restroom, immediately get hit by are you going to buy something from the bartender? In a very hostile manner? I said I was thinking about it and told him I was just using the restroom then he asks for my id and is looking at me all suspicious like it wasn’t me on the id.I usually don’t even write reviews but this guy really rubbed me the wrong way. If the guy were to have said oh is there anyway I can help you? Can I get you any drinks? I definitely would have grabbed something.
Sacramento second oldest bar! Great drinks, great people and they often have free snacks or food. Don’t trust the stuffed animal claw machine. It will take your money.
Walking by outside I heard the music playing, and I looked up and wanted to see what the patio was all about. Asked the friendly bartender Jon Eric, who had to set the record straight for me. Turns out there is not a patio, it’s only an office upstairs. I asked about it, and while I sat there with my one beer, another pair of possible patrons asked me about the patio and I told them the next establishment had one. Then before I left, another set of people asked Jon how to access the patio and he had to tell them they were also mistaken. The cabin is a rustic and woods-esque experience with fun cocktails and a tasty beer selection, but without an outdoor patio I feel I’d just stay for a single round. Besides the booze, friendly folks like Jon make it all worth it!
Go see Rachel. The atmosphere is so cool and cozy and the drinks are phenomenal and priced perfectly. I enjoy seating at the bar and chatting with Rachel and watching her do her magic with cocktail making. Definitely love visiting! **sorry I get invested in the moment so no photos**
This place has definitely kept it real with being reasonably priced. The chefs are great for what they have to work with. And Wednesday is BBQ night that they offer the best new York steak deal anywhere. Highly recommend.
Been a while since I came here but i was out in the car and my dog had run out of water, I walked into Stingers with an empty bowl and the gentleman behind var was happy to help us out with some fresh water and even threw some ice in for my pup. It sounds like a small effort but in today's day and age small acts of kindness without financial gain are hard to come by so I wanted to take a moment to show our appreciation. Go dolphins!!
A night cap with friends before home. Bartender is kind with great jokes. It got mostly every liquor. Great vibes! Even better if someone/you ring the bell in the middle of the bar.
Let me preface this by saying— I love a good, old fashioned dive bar. This one is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area! On a Saturday night when we went, there were quite a few people from all demographics. Service was quick and friendly, with personable bartenders. The drinks were relatively inexpensive, poured correctly, and variety was plentiful. The atmosphere was great— one of those quintessential neighborhood bar types— lots of memorabilia on the walls and it felt very homey. The regulars were friendly and talkative. Bathrooms were clean. Music was good. We went with a group of a dozen friends and had a blast! We will be back, for sure.
I will next door doing my laundry and called to order some food for pick up. Well whoever was working on Sunday , 09/14 at 12:45pm did not represent the company well at all! He picked up the first time and said hello then hung up on me, called again and he literally just picked up and hung up. Glad that business is doing so well that having great customer service doesn’t affect your reputation.
Not too sure about any dive, I walk in on an afternoon a few months prior to this review. Frickin Lindsay…. (Bartender) talk about a compassionate, kind and accepting person… wow! Get service yep! Kind demeanor no doubt. Heavy hand? Umhumm…. She commands the room and exceeds all the expectations of a run down hole in the wall. Her vibes and pours were exactly what the soul needed! As long as she’s on shift I will stay a steady fan of this place. Super solid human… ohh and Anthony is pretty awesome to! Keep it up yall.
My new favorite place! The service feels like home. The clientele welcomed me into their world immediately. I've decided 2 of them are my new kids. I moved to Sacramento in June but made more friends in one night than I have in the previous months. I've already been back twice! I had the prawns and they were amazing! They have tons of food coming out of their little kitchen and it all looks amazing. Their great selection of whiskey was a huge bonus for me. I love the process of discovering that kicked off, I had a hookah by the end of the night too. The most shocking thing about my first visit was the cost. I thought they must have forgotten to charge me for something but their reaction was "its an Irish pub". I guess Irish pubs are much more affordable than others?
The place looked nice to grab a quick bite. Didn't have to wait too long for service, and the waitress was nice, but that's where the good ends. Place was not busy and I had a 40 min wait for paper thin pastrami on hawaiian rolls and fries. Had to ask for my check and a box before I ever got my food it took so long. Fries were bland and the pastrami was mediocre. Would not recommend and won't try again.
Lively sports bar & watering hole with HDTVs, pool tables & bar games, plus bottled & draft beers.
Have been here a couple of times and it’s been good experiences so far. When I first tried coming here it was very empty and slow, but after that the next few times it was busy! This seems like a very popular place with younger (not fresh 21 year olds) but mid 20s and above crowds. There’s definitely regulars that come and the bartenders are really cool. They have obviously bar seating, some high top tables, and a few pool tables you can play at. They have a lot of different beers on tap and I like the cider options here. It’s a very chill bar, not super “dive-y”, very lively and has a great upbeat energy on even week nights. There’s a medium sized parking lot in the back and street parking. It’s not a go to place for me but I definitely recommend if you don’t want to go to a club but want something more fun.
I love this place. I go there every Wednesday because the bartener is one of my very good friends. But all the other bartenders are just as good, it's always friendly. You get a wide variety of people
I was excited to see a Latin club open up. I came here once before when it was under a different name, but I like what they've done to the place now. I love the neon colors. The booths and bars are on the outer perimeter, while the dancefloor is right in the middle— which is perfect. Everyone (from the bartenders, bottle girls, security, other staff, and customers) was so friendly and helpful. One worker was diligently cleaning up spills and other messes on the dancefloor. The music choices were good. I truly appreciated the fans above the dancefloor, but there were certain areas that were still hot. There's no designated parking lot, so you'll have to pay to park on the street, in a nearby garage, or in a paid lot. Bathrooms are located in the back. I do have to say that the women's bathroom was not stocked with paper towels or toilet paper, yet I got there just after opening. Other than that, everything was bright and clean. The drinks were good and priced decently, but they could have been made a little stronger. I'll have to come back and try their food, then update my review. But I'll definitely be coming back. I had such a great time!
I went for the first time recently. It was fun! The DJ is great, and the drinks are reasonably priced. Their instagram is super resourceful. The only reason I am deducting stars is because the bouncers are super unprofessional. I felt harassed and objectified by the way they talked to my friends and I. Cat calling on the streets is never acceptable and much less when it’s on the job. That was the only disappointing part of the experience. It threw us off, and it sucked because that’s how we started the night.
Dive bar featuring theme nights & DJs spinning eclectic tunes in a retro space with a ’70s vibe.
I only wanted a glass of red wine, but nit having that, I asked for a mixed drink, which the bartender was not able to make. So he made something different and got an attitude when I recognized that it wasn't what I asked for. There were a few others there and there seemed to be a banter between them and the bartender. The atmosphere was nice.
I have come to this spot several times and it’s always a great time. You can expect an old movie on the screen, cool ambience, and delicious drinks. I usually sit at the bar and end up in an interesting convo with the bartender or new friends at the bar.
High-end sports-bar chain with a huge menu of New American fare & an extensive list of draft beers.
Nice place I don't generally give five stars across the board but there was certainly nothing to knock at this place. Service was very good, lots of draft beers, I had the jambalaya so that kind of tilted the score in their favor because I have a hard time finding a good place to get that and they did a good job of it.. pretty pricey place to get a burger and a beer though. I think Google maps should list a dollar rating on these places and I think this would be on the high side. It was a birthday for a young lady and they brought out a little surprised at the very end, good job.
Yard house was pretty good! Might not be my first choice but not a bad choice. Inside of the out door mall it is very much a sports bar atmosphere, table also wasn’t fully cleaned off. Food portions were good and relatively quick. Our waiter was amazing and very kind.
Intimate hangout with a vintage tiki theme offering tropical cocktails, pu pu platters & meals.
Had a great time for our daughter's birthday. The food was fantastic. I definitely loved the drinks. Tge place has a totally cute ambiance. And my only complaint was that the souvenir cups were very confusing...
The bar *looks* fantastic. The decor and visual atmosphere are basically perfect. It's obvious that whoever designed this space really cared about the details necessary for a great tiki bar. Unfortunately, what could be an amazing escapist atmosphere is somewhat ruined by the loud and out of place music that dominates the space. The drinks are fine. Nothing especially interesting or creative, but good for what they are. The service is equally fine. Our server got the job done quickly and continued to check on us regularly, but he also recommended drinks based on how they looked and not whether or not they were actually good.
Neighborhood joint with an extensive menu of pub grub, 28 beers on tap & lots of TVs for sports.
Had a great time at Field House, watching Chelsea - Liverpool match with the Sacramento supporters group. They were a good bunch, hospitable and welcoming. Thank you to Mom & the staff, nice work. Chicken fried steak was excellent. Hope to see you all again sometime. Thanks.
One of my top 5 best bars I’ve been to. Food is all homemade, it tasted amazing. Especially the fieldhouse bacon. A sweet and spicy combo. The full count Bloody Mary was awesome. They had 4 dollar shot specials. It’s a cool family run buisness and I loved the atmosphere. Highly recommended
Ate here with some friends today. All the food was hot fresh and super good. My boyfriend had the fish and chips and I had chicken Caesar salad. My salad (for a salad) was so good. The ceasar dressing has a hint of lemon, presentation was 10/10. As of beer, I had Sacrament brewings Holy Water which was a berry flavored seltzer. Liked it so much I purchased a 32oz to take home. 100% recommended and will definitely be returning.
There's a full restaurant attached downstairs, it is a tad small of a footprint for a club. People are friendly, just sort of enclosed. If you like close quarters with the feel of a rooftop lounge then it's for you. Plenty of seating, somewhere I would like to sit and converse.
Roomy pub offering a menu of pub favorites, plus 2 patios, multiple TVs, darts & bar games.
Not very friendly bartenders. I mean when the place is dead, it's not like you have a lot to do or folks to talk to. Karaoke is cool tho. Lots of beer on tap. A couple dart boards. Patio out back and in front. Nice door person. Place is hit or miss
$5 tater tots, $5-6 draught beers, bike parking in front, HH for softball players, chill back patio w picnic tables and decent live rock band. Maybe the best chicken Caesar salad in Sacramento? For $13, I am impressed.
I LOVE everyone who works here! Everyone is so kind, helpful and down to earth. Customer service is 10/10. The food is great! If you are looking for a place to have a drink and a snack either by yourself or with some buddies…this is the place! The cauliflower bites with the delicious dipping sauce-don’t think twice about ordering this! See you soon Henry’s!!!
Henry's Lounge is such a cool vibe! There are lots of TVs so you can watch any sports event! Darts, pool tables, skee ball, foos ball, and video games with a whole separate bar in the back game room! So fun!! Didn't order any food, but the menu looks good, decent prices. The place is really clean, including the bathrooms. I really liked this place and look forward to my next visit.
Star Lounge is a great spot for a nightcap and appetizers. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for unwinding. Their selection of cocktails is impressive, and the drinks are well-crafted. The appetizers, such as sliders and nachos, are delicious and generously portioned. Overall, a fantastic place to enjoy a relaxed evening with good drinks and tasty bites. I ordered deep fried green olives 🫒 which were delicious.
The room is impressive and so is the food. I loved the stuffed peppadew peppers, and the truffled chicken roulade was a stunning, tasty dish. Service was very good, and the two musicians performing this evening completed a warm, relaxing ambiance. It would have been a very special experience had there not been muffled boom box music leaking out from the kitchen. I pointed it out to a staff member who apparently took action (twice?), but it was awhile until it stopped. Really a shame as it significantly detracted from what otherwise would have been a 5-star experience.
Easygoing pub & patio offering American eats, including breakfast, plus TVs, draft beer & cocktails.
Opens early for English Premier League games, so it can get lively early on. The food is good, we opted for the Steak and Eggs for under $20 and some mimosas for the big guy. It can get loud when the music is going but it's all good vibes. It appears Tottenham and Manchester United have a following here, wasn't sure how receptive they were to other teams fans.
You won’t find a more “divey” dive bar in Sacramento. This place can get pretty wild at night. It’s a great place to day drink the prices are reasonable and the bartenders pour heavy. The club attracts an eclectic crowd. You never know who you’re going to meet. The regulars love to tell you stories about wild nights past. When it’s not crowded it’s fun to go play the bar games like darts and shuffleboard. As you would expect bathrooms not that clean but just have another drink and he won’t care. All in all this is a great place to start your night or end it. Live long Sacramento‘s Notorious dive bar
Lounge-style, 2-story destination offering dinner & happy hours, plus live DJs & creative cocktails.
My buddy and I had the best time ever at the Tiger. Off the chart fun!!! Hats off to Mike at the Tiger. He was super cool and made us feel extremely welcomed and as though we were VIP. I can't say enough about the place and the people (both employees and patrons). Everyone was just super chill and fun.
Saw the restaurant on the news on Thursday, August 28th advertising the lobster tacos and looked them up only to find; mixed opening times, AI automated answering machine (no live contact person). Very disappointed as had a taste the entire holiday weekend for lobster tacos. How can a business operate like this. Poor service. The taste is gone. No longer interested!!!!@
I don’t usually gatekeep… but I have a soft spot for speakeasies, and this one is worth sharing. Reservations are definitely recommended. It’s hidden behind Bawk restaurant, tucked between the kitchen, bathrooms, and a storage closet. To get in, squeeze the rooster’s mouth a few times and the storage shelf will swing open. Inside, you’ll find craft cocktails galore, a tempting tapas menu, and bites like oysters, chicken wings, deviled eggs, fried catfish, and more. Sadly, the charbroiled oysters were out of all their toppings during our visit, but the raw oysters were fresh and sweet. The house Bawk Hot Sauce was a total game-changer—it elevated almost every dish we tried. The catfish was cooked perfectly light, crispy, and flavorful (though I wouldn’t mind a touch more seasoning). With the hot sauce, it was spot on. My only wish? That they sold wine by the glass instead of only by the bottle. Atmosphere-wise, it’s a fun yet elegant speakeasy with food that matches the vibe. My Porn Star Martini was perfect—not too sweet, incredibly smooth. While waiting for our reservation, we popped into The Snug across the street, which also had fantastic drinks. Overall: a hidden gem worth the hunt. ***Don’t forget to follow on IG & TikTok @Only1Christinelu
Make sure you reserve ahead of time! The drinks and cocktails are absolutely phenomenal, crafted with care and creativity. It’s a small place, so the staff can be a bit pushy about ordering more drinks, which can be a little annoying, but it makes sense given they need to keep business moving. Be prepared to pay more than usual, but it’s worth every penny for the quality and experience. Conversation isn’t the easiest here because of the size and lively atmosphere. Food options are limited.
Storied sports bar with a fireplace, light bites & drink specials, plus darts & karaoke.
If you're looking for the best karaoke spot in all of California then look no further. Even on a "dead" night, its busy! The staff are great, the atmosphere and vibe is amazing, and the karaoke hosts know how to run a great show. Shout out to Marissa, if you're new to Sac and need ideas on what else to do, she'll be glad to help you out.
Marissa is amazing ❤️ she has been serving all of us all night. We came in a big group and she has been on! She has been super attentive and beyond friendly! I'd come back here just for her! A good bartender can make or break and night out! She definitely made our night! We will be back.
So horrible I wish I could give it a zero, but that’s not possible so I give it a one. Women BEWARE this bar is run and frequented by misogynists and bigots. We were harassed for putting money down and simply waiting our turn to play pool. After choosing a pool que off the wall, a man aggressively pulled it out of my hands, hitting me on the arm as he pulled it from me. Ladies beware, they apparently have no cameras. This is not a safe place to go.
Great little dive bar that is great for day drinking and watching the game. Friendly staff and they have pool and shuffleboard. Lots of room and a modern jukebox.
If I could rate a zero, I would. Maybe the drinks are cold and the music is great, but the atmosphere is extremely unpleasant. People there are rude and will stop at nothing to get a rise out of you. Not a friendly environment. I would Not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to possibly end up in jail or worse, dead. What else would I expect though, coming from that area. Nothing but low life scum.
New ownership and management is just one more layer tax and legal dodge.... the new name has zero amenability connection to it's roots. They fired the best DJ they've had in years... and the doorman decides your entry eligibility criteria on assumptions...
Went here on Friday night (Sept 1) w 2 of my bestfriends and we LOVED it! The food was great, we pigged out LOL!! The pricing was fair, a little cheaper then StateFair and Foodieland. If the prices came down by even 1 ticket we would have definitely bought more. The Vendors were extremely friendly, easy to talk and joke around with and very greatful for the support and business. To me thats a huge bonus when you spend your money with someone and they take a second to express their gratitude that you frequented their establishment. The music was great a lot of old school w some new school and a huge array of genres, so a little something for everyone. The place was clean, tons of seating; kid friendly aswell. Definitely wheelchair and handicap friendly! Bags etc are checked at the gate. Was a win win night for us, nice and chill, good food, good people, good vibes. We will definitely be back with our kids, family and friends, neighbors and whoever else wants to jump in the car ")!!! *We did not go inside so I can not speak to that, when I peeked in it looked clean and well lit like a nice bar atmosphere inside. To the owner: Running a business is hard. Running a business w other businesses inside is even harder. You cant please everyone but just remember to always strive for excellent, not good but excellent customer service and you will succeed. People want to feel like they got more than their moneys worth and everything was top of the top, best of the best... everything from clean restrooms to extraordinary staff ... watching people clean up and even the owner walking around talking to the patrions... I wish the best of luck to your venue. ")
Went to Paint and sip RnB. Very nice vibe, dun and the food was really good. The Korean bbq wings are to die for. Cooked perfectly. Saucy but remained crispy. A bit spicy that is okay. Drinks are a bit weak though 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
This relaxed eatery serves familiar Southern classics that feature locally-sourced ingredients.
My wife & I were here on a quiet Saturday afternoon. It was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Great service, comfortable & cozy atmosphere with food that has us looking for a reason to come back. The brunch menu had so many options...definitely something for anyone. We started with 1/2 order of beignets, with fresh fruit. Tasty & light..not too sweet. I ordered the "breakfast burger"..hearty & filling GREAT creation! My wife had the "avocado scramble" which was just enough for her. I am telling you, the menu has something for everyone. We were pleasantly surprised it wasn't crowded...I am certain it will be next time.
Let me start by saying we have been here before and our prior experience was better. We came for brunch. We waited about 12 min for a table even though the place was not that busy. We were OK, though. also will say that our server was super helpful and attentive. The problem and the reason for the 1 star were issues with food and the kitchen. Our order took over 40 min which was an issue with the kitchen as our server was constantly checking in us. When we got the food, the first thing was the scones were colds as ice and hollow inside. My avocado scrambled eggs was more slimy than anything else. The avocado felt as if it still had the skin on it. My wife French toasts were swimming in a liquid with an unbalanced flavor that made them uneatable. In fact, we left our plates as they are shown in the pictures as we could not eat them given the bad flavor, poor texture and overall bad experience. For the record, we pay the entire ticket and left a 18% gratuity as the server did. It has the fault for a terrible day in the kitchen. I am sorry but given this experience, I cannot recommend this place and it is unlikely I will ever go back.
Doesn’t get much “diveyer” than this! (In a good way!) cheap drinks, fast service and lots of seating! They also have a great stage! Not many bars have live heavy metal bands anymore. This one does! I met the owner and he was a really cool guy! I will come again.
This is an honest to goodness punk rock bar. Granted, the parking is atrocious, but once you get inside, the vibes are right. Plus, the bartender made me the best michelada I've had in a long time! 😆👌
Intimate dance club & bar with DJs spinning different music genres depending on the night.
Karaoke and 😃 Comedy, what is there not to love.
Great local bar in Sacramento. Some would call it a dive, I call it 46 days til New Years. Mikhala is awesome, Terry is a regular who you must meet. We are pretty sure he owns it, but he’ll never tell. Buy him a drink. Do note, it’s cash only but they have an ATM machine in the building ready to go. Oh and did I mention the beer is cold, the drinks are drinks, and just get your birthday here.
Fashionable bar with a roof terrace offering burgers, curly fries & cocktails amid vibrant decor.
My daughter & I had a quite enjoyable lunch date here. The atmosphere is very cool with really fun decor. We ate on the rooftop area which offered some nice views. Our server Jamie was exceptional. The host person was also super sweet. We thoroughly enjoyed their version of the Hugo Spritz ( Lady Bird) which was recommended by Jamie. A bit too much ice which means we finished the drinks quickly. We found the tater tots and Brussels sprouts delicious! The Cole slaw was disappointing with literally zero flavor. The door person/bouncer could use some assistance with being more friendly. All in all a fantastic experience and I’d probably return for a fun happy hour!
The only complaint I have is the tables upstairs. There is old food between the seats, and that needs to be addressed in a major way. Cleanliness in restaurants is so important.
Cozy, popular lounge with themed tanks above the bar where mermaid-costumed women swim at set times.
This place is everything you want in a dive bar and more. Chris from security was phenomenal and so welcoming! The drinks are great, and the atmosphere is unique and not like anything you’d find elsewhere. The staff goes above and beyond. I left my wallet on the bar and one of the bartenders, Celeste, brought it back to me! This place is a must do when in the area.
Literally stumbled upon this Dive Bar while visiting Sacramento for the weekend and I must say this place is absolutely amazing. One of the coolest bars and definitely the coolest dive bar.
For a British place on the water, I thought the fish and chips was going to be at least average, if not above average. It wasn’t. One piece of fish for $27 and it was tough around the edges. Didn’t taste like they seasoned the fish or the batter. Fries were blah. Would have much preferred a McDonald’s fish sandwich with fries
My boyfriend and I had dinner at Bear & Crown while walking my dog in old sac. They have a nice backyard section and gave my dog water :) the food was great. Scotch eggs were delicious; the mustard sauce really highlighted the taste and texture. I ordered the cottage pie, and my boyfriend got the lamb loin. The lamb was so tender 😋 I enjoyed the cider too. We will definitely stop by again
Im in my late 20s. Just went there last night Friday 12.8.17 in search for something new. DEF a cougar spot. Over clean though i expected a dirty hole in the wall, but that wasn't the case. Unfortunately i tried there good at closing time! STAY away from there chicken tacos. Also entrance fee was 10$ not bad. No dress code aswell. Oh and loved how vigilant the waitresses where to offer me a new beer!.
Love this place.Dance here for 20 years. The service is great. Securi ty does a great job I feel safe there. They have clean bathrooms and great music. I just wish the dance floor was bigger.!
Nightclub with salsa, goth & swing nights offering a neon-lit dance floor, live DJs & 2 bars.
Has great atmosphere, just wish people would actually go there. The drinks are SOOOOO good too. Great music. Needs people, tho.
DJ Larry is the BEST! Never stale, always an eclectic mix ALWAYS DANCEABLE 💜💙💚💛🧡♥️💖
Richard is the man!! Whip me up some delicious cocktails when i didn't even know what I wanted. The vibe is great. Low-key place to drink, beat the heat, and shoot pool
Surely the best actual bar in Old Sacramento. This place is a traditional inn serving cold beers and cool cocktails. The great jukebox, pool tables and sport tv are bonus points.
Set in a 1920s art deco building, this chic lounge offers a dance floor, small plates & cocktails.
For my birthday I reserved a booth for 15 people. Our server was great! She was super helpful and friendly and supplied us with drinks and mixers all night. The booth was large enough and created the perfect ambiance for us to chill and have drinks and chat or take a break from hitting the dance floor. I have reserved booths here several times and would highly recommended it to anyone with a group. The price was reasonable and totally worth it. You definitely get your moneys worth.
I went during happy hour on Tuesday. It was so much fun celebrating my sister's birthday. The tacos were amazing and the drinks were made very well. Great customer service is will go back again!
Worse experience ever!! I was planning to turn up for New Years. I walked in and all they played was rock music. Then when I set down the whole entire time I was there which was about 2 hours no ladies came up to my group and introduced themselves or anything. Worse hospitality ever. But it is a nice club but hospitality need work!!
I just came for the first time today, and it was an amazing experience. First off, Nina was so sweet and she is so pretty. She had a lengthy wholesome conversation with me and she is so nice to talk too. I wasn't able to get a dance from Nina because I was stolen by the very seductive Angel. Angel is a master at the art of seduction and when I told her that I never had a dance before, she made sure it wasn't one I would ever forget. I had a wonderful time and I definitely want to come back :)
Easygoing sports bar serving up brews & pub grub in airy digs decorated with sports memorabilia.
After you get done walking around what seems to be a place stuck in time. This restaurant also gives you that feel that you're dining in the old west. But it also feels like you're sitting in the old west because the chairs are not comfortable. They have no backs on them and the booth cushion seat is so far away from the table that you can't even sit back. The food was great. Had a great little nacho snack while walking around. I don't drink alcohol but it looks like they have a plethora of things on the tap. Lots of TV screens. Lots of room to sit and watch football with your pals. Maybe bring a deck of cards. Play a poker game while you're waiting for your food. Remember, don't lose those car keys in the game or you'll be hitchhiking it home
Stopped by Brannon Manor and had the brisket sandwich and a burger. The brisket sandwich was tasty, but the bread was soggy and packed too tightly to eat easily—slaw and brisket were still good though. The burger was solid and came with seasoned fries. I added sweet potato fries, which were also really good. The outdoor seating has great vibes and the service was excellent. Overall, a good spot for a casual meal, just be aware the brisket sandwich doesn’t come with fries.
Lively bar & grill serving updated pub food in an eclectic roadhouse setting with TVs & a patio.
We stopped by here to use a Groupon offer and we loved it! The place is a dream location to watch sports and have a drink. TV’s everywhere, playing multiple games from different sports. The craft burgers were huge and absolutely delicious. Fries were nice and crisp. The waitress/bartender was a sweetheart. She was patiently explained how to use the Groupon and did an excellent job with drink recommendations. We went as a family in the early evening but looks like a great place to hang out with friends for drinks!
Went on a Saturday, it was empty but the food was so good. Got shrimp tacos, the surf and turf, the fried pickles and a fish bowl. Everything was amazing. Came back to look for something and on Sunday’s it’s a whole day party vibe. It was turnt, it was lit and I will definitely be back.
Raucous gay bar & nightclub with drag nights, DJs, multiple bars & a disco-style dance floor.
Attended a drag show on 7/21 to support a friend at a show. Didn't have any issue with security. They were pretty friendly Bartender was nice and already had waters ready. They also serve alcohol. This is not a food establishment, only a club. Sound is pretty loud so if you are sensitive bring ear plugs. Drag show was pretty fun. Don't forget to bring your dollar bills! I'm not a crowded place person but I felt pretty safe here and everyone was nice!
Cute yet predictable design fun engaging staff letting people (especially the cute guy with long black hair) the drinks are average the music's average the large man who I'm assuming is the manager is very rude.
Upscale nightclub & bar offering multiple rooms plus a patio, with DJs spinning varied music.
Sacs top 3 clubs with four dance floors and a great crowd. UCSAC and working professionals are hella lit after 11pm. Awesome bartenders keep the fun flowing all night. Almost like Mangos Miami but a West Coast vibe 🔥
Went to Mango’s with a group of 8 for their 18+ Thursday night. Two of us were 18+, the rest were 21+. We got in fine with the guest list, but things quickly went downhill. It was my first time there, so I wasn’t familiar with the specific rules. At one point, I gave the 18+ members ice (literally just ice—no alcohol), but security apparently assumed it was alcohol. I pinched the ice between my fingers and fed it to them directly—there was no attempt to hide anything. As most people know, alcohol doesn’t freeze, so this felt like a major overreaction. Instead of warning us or clarifying the issue after the first time, security waited until the 21+ members were at the bartender, ordering more drinks, and then accused the 18+ members of drinking. They claimed there was video evidence, but couldn’t provide any when asked. Where is the evidence??? They also said the 18+ guests were “too hype.” It’s a club—people are supposed to dance and have fun, right? They then proceed to kick out the 18+ members without the 21+ members' notice. The whole situation felt unfair and poorly handled. No warning, no conversation—just an accusation and removal. It completely killed the vibe, and we all decided to leave. We all spent the entire week looking forward to this night, spent $50 on an outfit, and it ended in under 30 minutes. I’ve since heard from others that the club used to have a much better reputation, but our experience didn’t live up to that at all. If you’re going with anyone under 21, especially to an 18+ night, I’d suggest skipping it altogether unless you want to be micromanaged and misunderstood. Definitely won’t be returning, and I won’t recommend Mango’s to anyone. If you ever do go, I guess don't feed anyone 18+ ice. Who knows, they might just kick you out too!! I'm just glad I didn't spend money getting in due to the guest list. Maybe before accusing someone, give us some evidence other than they seem like they having too much fun dancing! Sorry??? Didn't know they were supposed to stay still and just wait! I mean they are 18+, and this is an 18+ club! Maybe have a paper printed out with all the rules such as not feeding the 18+ people ice to all the newcomers too, so they don't make the same mistake!! Overall, would give zero stars if possible! I will just wait until everybody is legal before having fun at a club! Don't ever want to be kicked out for giving ice to somebody ever again!!
3 dance rooms, 15 bars, VIP lounge & outdoor pool, plus themed events and 'dress to impress'-code.
I really want to love this place, and I do when security is reasonable, but there is one lady who is horrible. I felt like I was judged instantly and told I wasn't allowed in because I had Lactaid pills on me. I cannot have dairy, and they were making free burgers so I brought lactaid in mind of having cheese on my burger. She said I wasn't allowed in with them and I understood. I asked her if there was somewhere I could throw them away so I could come inside but she said I wasn't allowed in at all. She was disrespectful and couldn't even look me in the eye... This place is wonderful but some of the security has really ruined Faces
Long review about a bouncer to avoid and my experiences with her. Want to report on a repeated situation with a bouncer. She was there, June 19 around midnight, shorter blonde woman. My first interaction with her I had pepper spray in my purse, looking at the rules I understand this isn’t allowed in the club but I offered to throw it away or put it in my car and she repeatedly told me I still wasn’t allowed in that night AT ALL. For being a safe space, as a LGBTQ bar, as a woman I don’t feel comfortable around downtown without having protection. I understand not bringing it in but her attitude was deplorable. I would’ve thrown it away or put it in my car as other bars have let me do but she was adamant that I wasn’t allowed in that night. I urge for there to be an option to either put things in our cars or offer a locker to keep belongings in. Furthermore, on two separate occasions I have had friends with vapes, I do think they have THC which also I believe isn’t permitted inside but both times they offered to put their devices in their cars or throw them away and she fully turned us away. I want there to be options to throw away or put our devices in our cars and still enter the bar, faces is one of my favorite places to go but this is leaving a bad taste. Across the street on the other hand, badlands is extremely accommodating. I came in with medication for UTIs and yeast infection pills in a ziplock bag which does look suspicious(I forgot I left them in my purse lol that’s on me). Despite that, the security were willing to let me explain what it was and I offered to throw them away but they graciously let me keep them at the front desk while I was in the bar. I really hope that this bouncer at faces can learn to be accommodating, empathetic and change her attitude.
Chic, bustling nightspot with hip-hop performances, VIP service & a small patio.
Came from Reno NV. Hoping to have a good time at social! The security guard pushed and threw me against the wall, 5 minutes after we payed. They only like black people. And used us for our money. One of the security guards was trying to take my vape & that’s what caused the whole situation. The food was horrible & they had horrible drinks. The servers had horrible attitude. Don’t show up here!
I bought a booth back in July for my birthday on a Friday night I did have a good experience in the beginning but towards the end I did not enjoy it I actually left early one of the black security guards with a afro and sunglasses kept following me and my guests around the club and he stood next to my booth the whole night and making us uncomfortable and when I brought it up to 2 of the vip hosts they told Me they think he was doing that because of a Alliged altercation that happened even though we already explained nothing happened. The music was not good that night either the vibes have changed a lot sense the last time I l was at this club. if you buy a booth just know you have to have at least 10 people there with you to get in the door . the patio booths are way bigger than the Mainroom booths which is just one couch that could fit maybe 4 people , it was very hot inside the whole night from start to finish and you have to buy more than one bottle bc they have a $350 minimum and the bottles are $200 - $700 the bottle menu they brought me didn’t have nearly as much to pick from vs the original menu I was sent when I booked the booth it was very hot inside of there also this is just me sharing my own experience…..
