Energetic nightspot featuring 3 rooms with varied music including hip hop, Latin & Top 40.
If you want to have a good time, Rumba is the place!! The crowd is multiracial, they play everything from old school hip hop to Top 40 to the hottest Latin music. Rumba is always my go-to for a good night! It never disappoints!!
Been going to Rumba Lounge now for multiple years and the atmosphere only keeps getting better and better. It definitely plays a wide variety of music. From top 40s to Latin. If u want a good time and incredible Latin music u definitely need to check this place out. It has to be the most happening place in the Gaslamp on a Friday Night. The club management and staff know how to throw a party. Pre warming..... book a pedicure or some kind of foot massage for the next day. Your hooves will be on fire from all the dancing u will be doing lol. You won’t be disappointed it is the BEST CLUB in SD
Located inside Asa Bakery with its doors hidden in the panels. We had to ask the bakery to let us in. Our party of 4 made a reservation for a Tuesday night right when they opened and they already had a couple of parties ahead of us. I highly recommend making a reservation since I see this place getting packed as the night goes on. As with any other downtown SD establishments, give yourself extra time to look for parking since it’s only street parking. There were about 10 bar seats and limited 2-4 person tables. Our party was seated at the couch with two chairs. I enjoyed the Japanese-style environment inside! Great service by Sam and Demi who were both attentive and brought our drinks fairly quickly. They had many unique cocktails listed and we ordered the following: -Ube Jungle Bird ($16): ube foam; enjoyed this drink the most -Ubemoshi Sour ($16) -Sojiros Sprotini ($16): their take on espresso martini; strong Japanese curry flavor at first sip but it was surprisingly good -Jiro Dreams of Breakfast ($15): like a mojito -Tokyo Banana ($16): I enjoyed the taste thought I couldn’t really taste the banana Our party only ordered drinks since we had a dinner reservation after and I’d love to come back to try out their food next time!
Interesting concept and vibe! It is a 1920s Japan themed speakeasy. Reservations are highly recommended but maybe you can get a seat early around 5-6 pm. You ask the bakery counter to open the door which is very well hidden. The place itself is nice but the surprise element is so-so, been to more original settings. Inside the place is beautiful with a lot of care in the decor and props. The bar is very professionally set and the cocktails and spirit options perfectly curated. I give it 4-stars because we did not love the cocktails, although they are perfectly crafted and served and the glasses and spirits are top-notch, something in the flavor was not there. Also the setting is nice but not wow. It is worth to go one time but maybe not coming back, cocktails are on the pricier side (I don't think they are overpriced but rather did not love them) so 2 are in order for the 90 minute stay (which is the time limit for reservations). Did not get food but it seemed good, with nice options for pairing and hanging, not a full dinner.
I've been wanting to try this cute little spot for happy hour and so glad I finally was able to go! The staff were so sweet and friendly. There was no wait, we were seated right away. There's bar seating and booth indoor and outdoor tables available. Parking is usually tricky in this area, but we got lucky with a spot right in front. Food/drink review: Buffalo sliders: (4/5) They were pretty tasty but the chicken was a little dry and super tiny. Kale salad/fries: (5/5) Surprisingly, the kale salad was delicious!! The perfect amount of dressing and no bitterness. The fries were super yummy and crispy. Hot dog: (3.5/5) It wasn't my favorite. The hot dog itself was juicy and flavorful but the toppings weren't my favorite. Baja blast slushee: (5/5) SO good and refreshing! Perfect drink for a nice hot day. The cups are also fun! Ward 8: (4/5) This was pretty tasty and more on the sweet side. I'd order it again. The zlatan: (4/5) This is basically just an old fashion. Definitely a strong sipping beverage! Cactus cooler: (3/5) It wasn't my favorite and the flavors weren't what I was expecting!
I visited for the first time for happy hour. I arrived at 3 so there’s no issue finding a parking spot near by. The place is spacious and I liked the open air setting. My friend and I sat at the bar. The service provided by both staff (don’t know their names) was friendly and helpful. I ordered a Tiny Spro-Tini. It’s like an espresso martini. It’s tiny but tasty. My friend got a margarita. It looked like many people ordered a pitcher of margarita. We also ordered buffalo chicken sliders and kale Caesar salad and fries. The sliders were ok but i really liked the kale salad and fries. The price is reasonable for the portion size. I would go back again.

LG keeps the party going! From dancing to live beats and lounging by the pool, J7 Productions had a blast sharing CIRQUE at Andaz for one of LG's big events!
Intimate, moody bar pairing handcrafted drinks with New American plates featuring exotic meats.
Absolutely fabulous experience. The tacos were bursting with flavor and the meat was so tender it melted in your mouth. The venison sliders were juicy and thick. Every bite was perfect. Washed it all down with two shanties. I took the bread pudding to go and it did not disappoint.
If you’re looking for one of the best bar/restaurants in San Diego, this is it. Everything we ordered was delicious, but let’s not beat around the bush—the Bison Tartare absolutely stole the spotlight. Like, full standing ovation. Service was solid across the board, the vibe was effortlessly cool without trying too hard (which is rare), and the whole experience felt like finding a secret level in the San Diego dining scene. Great food, great drinks, great energy—what more do you want, a medal? Just go.
Trendy tiki bar located within Craft & Commerce, serving strong drinks in tropical surrounds.
This place is such a hidden gem in San Diego! 🌺 You actually have to go through a tunnel from one of the restaurants to get here, which makes it feel like a real secret bar. Honestly, you would never know it even existed unless someone told you. Once you step inside, the atmosphere completely changes—you’re greeted with an incredible interior that feels like a mix between a tropical paradise and a pirate hideout. The décor is stunning, with colorful lights, ropes, nets, and so many details hanging from the ceiling and walls that you can’t stop looking around. One of the highlights was definitely their volcano drink. It’s not just a cocktail, it’s an experience! When it’s brought to the table, you get this fun sound effect of thunder and lightning, along with sparks on top of the drink. It’s big enough to share with a group, and it really adds to the lively vibe of the place. The staff was friendly and the overall energy made it a perfect spot for hanging out with friends. If you’re into unique bars with over-the-top atmosphere and memorable drinks, this is a must-visit. Highly recommend checking it out!
I loved this place. I only give it 4 stars because my wife preferred tiki bars in Colorado Springs and San Antonio while I preferred Trader Vic's in Tokyo, plus it was crowded and loud. The drinks here and pretty much everywhere in San Diego are pretty high. I liked this place and enjoyed it - it just needs a bit more room and tiki bars, in my opinion, should be more quiet and chill. But, I get how and why this place is so popular. It's still a cool place - it's just up against tough competition.
Local watering hole draws a crowd with pinball, a pool table & an extensive whiskey selection.
If you haven’t been to Aero Club Bar, THIS IS FOR YOU. Off the bat, free popcorn and cookies at the door. Who even does that, I felt so incredibly at home as a fellow popcorn gremlin. A huge selection of whiskeys and promotions- we came on Whiskey Wednesday where we had two options of alcohol, 5/6 for a single or 8/10 for a double in any well drink. What an amazing price, especially in THIS economy?!? Every single staff member was amazing but my girl Lee was serving charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent (C.U.N.T). She was so sweet, sassy, and answered all our questions. TIP HER WELL SHES THE BEST!!! Also, if you like Dave and Busters there are a HUGE selection of games, and they have a similar power card system. If games aren’t for you, enjoy the BEAUTIFUL scenery inside - seriously the lights are stunning- and there’s plenty of great outdoor seating. A huge plus if you come here on your birthday :) I felt so loved and welcome and I will coming back here 1000 more to eat cookies and popcorn, drink whiskey, and lose myself in conversation with Lee
Local spot that has one of the best whiskey selections I've seen in the whole world. The pricing is a bit questionable. But there are several diamonds in the rough. If you want to try something new, this is a great place to do it. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Its a great place to hang out even if you aren't into whiskey. Great spot!
Went here for dinner and the tacos were great, the only problem was the service: no napkins were given (especially weird because the tacos were really greasy), we never got water despite asking three times and the check had a extra charge of 25 dollars for no particular reason! Our waitress was kind and pleasant, but we would have appreciated a bit more care. Also, the band was extremely loud and with no rhythm whatsoever, but that’s actually a positive, our sides were gone after 5 minutes 😂
I got bottle service here by one amazing and beautiful girl, would only recommend using May as your next bottle service girl. She always had my drink filled and made sure our group was fine. This place has a great vibe to it but the staff is what really makes it better. Get your bottles served by May and have a great time
This swanky speakeasy tucked behind a secret door in The Neighborhood eatery serves craft cocktails.
What a unique experience! If you’re in San Diego, make a reservation. I went with two of my gal friends. After finding the secret entrance, we were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess and brought into Noble. Our mixologist was very friendly and created the yummiest craft cocktails. Also, there was a patron there who cozied up to our table and didn’t pick up on social cues. Our mixologist saw this and stepped in immediately to make sure we were okay. THAT alone would have been enough for me to rave about this place.
Reservation is recommended, but they can also put you on a wait-list for walk-ins. Probably half another to an hour wait. The entrance is behind the beer barrels. It's a small intimate bar. Not super crowded, not loud. Perfect for a conversation. They don't have a menu, but they will make you a drink based on your palate. Love the decorations!
Hopping hangout featuring American bar fare, plus creative cocktails, karaoke & brunch.
This place saved us when we got turned down from another diner for some late breakfast / brunch food. We did not have reservations and they were willing to seat us and quickly! To start off with drinks we ordered the World Famous Irish Coffee and the Espresso Martini. The Irish Coffee is a little on the sweeter side so would recommend the martini if you’re not into that. My bf also ordered the Werewolf Double Bloody and was served in this skull mug, very cool! For brunch we ordered the Pork Belly Benedict , which was both sweet and salty. The potato cake underneath really complemented it well! Th Steak Scramble was well seasoned and serviced with a side of flour tortilla. You can make your own mini breakfast tacos! To be extra we had to order the Cinnamon Roll Cake and it is huge! Perfect for sharing. The vibe was relaxed and laid back. Plenty of seating available, from the bar to the booths and long communal tables. This place is dog friendly as there were some when we dined in. The service was great as well. The waitress Fiona was helpful with suggestions and bothered to remember my name. Thank you!
Good food and a fun atmosphere that allowed us to bring our two small dogs. They have a live DJ. It was kind of loud for the dogs but I appreciated how accommodating they were in letting us choose where to sit and everyone was very friendly with us and the pups. They service did not rush us to finish and leave which helps it to feel like a relaxed experience. Buying bubbles by the bottle was a great price.
Old-world decor & oak-clad walls give this hidden cocktail bar a sense of mystery & opulence.
I’ve heard so much about this place and I’ve seen so many videos of this speakeasy. I finally got a chance to check it out. We had a reservation for 5:30pm. We arrived early so we got to take some pictures, videos, etc. The liquor store has impressive collections of spirits. I love the revolving door set up. The inside was grand, dark and mysterious. I got a drink that was 80% ice and 20% alcohol mixture. It definitely wasn’t worth $20 for a drink. I guess you’re paying for the ambience and experience. I would say check it out at least once to see it yourself.
I had an out of town visitor, so we went to Raised by Wolves on a Tuesday evening for the experience and to sip on their cocktails. We did not have any food! The vibe, the cocktails, and the service were outstanding! My visitor was highly impressed! You feel like you are in a different world, with a great vibe, once you enter through their "secret door!" Definitely worth checking out and vibing there! They are packed on weekends. Reservations are recommended!
Cocktails & beer served in an easygoing setting with TVs, games & frequent live music.
Emmanuel is the best!!!!! Such great service and he was so helpful when I couldn’t pick from all the great menu items. 10/10 would recommend. GO HERE!
Upset that I lived so close to this bar and I didn’t hear about it sooner. Food was so good! We got the Cajun Fries (so mf good) Chicken Slider and the Buffalo Max and cheese all for $24 and made to order. Pool table is 75c and not only do they have many cues but they are decent quality. You need to play the hunting game and buy 3 rounds not 1, it’s $3 per person but it’s so fun. I think we spent $18 at that game and I plan on doing it again. Cheap alcohol, great food and good people - will 100% be coming back.
Apothecary-esque bar offers craft cocktails & microbrews in a stylish, retro space with an atrium.
Overall rating: 4.8 Super cute spot I was taken to on a date. The decor is beautiful and the booths are really comfortable! There weren’t that many people but I did go on a Thursday. The drinks were delicious and they also serve off menu if you just tell them what you like. If I wasn’t an out of towner I’d definitely go back. It’s great for friends, dates, by yourself. Very rare! Highly recommend.
Really cool bar & Restaurant with a Christmas theme all year round. 21 and over only, so grab the significant other or friends and give it try. Really cool place especially if your are in to Christmas!
Fans return for the sports-bar vibe, pinball games, elevated pub bites & hefty menu of local beer.
Great our of the way restaurant! The outside seating was shaded for us. Seems it's that way all the time. The service was friendly. Multiple people who came around using care of us. The food was nice and fresh, nicely spiced and all otters were enjoyed. Really a fun place and you must visit!
In town from Houston,Tx. Had to cancel reservations at a swanky restaurant I had my heart set on due to a severe lack of parking in the area. After a quick search to find a place away from that area, with food, drinks and music just to fix my mood! We settled on HIGH DIVE!! BEST DECISION. Had a French dip, fries and their house made ketchup! The bartender had a certain glow about her that just really tied it all together!!! The staff were great, the music was great, the food was great. Sometimes you dont need fancy you need familiar and that felt like home!
Taxidermy & old books line the walls of this hip gastropub, serving seasonal eats & craft cocktails.
I visited this restaurant in downtown San Diego and had such a memorable experience that I want to share it here. The first thing that stood out to me was the interior design. The decoration is unlike anywhere else I’ve been—very stylish, a little eclectic, and filled with animal taxidermy pieces that make the whole space feel like a mix between a trendy lounge and a quirky museum. It’s definitely a place where you notice something new each time you look around, and the overall vibe makes it fun and different from the typical downtown spot. The menu also had some surprises. I tried something called “Born Mellow,” which was not only unique but also a pleasant surprise in terms of flavor. Their French fries were simple but really well done—crispy on the outside and soft inside, the kind you keep snacking on without even realizing. The real standout for me, though, was the chicken nugget slider. The bun was incredibly soft, the chicken was flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the combination of textures and flavors came together beautifully. Overall, this place is worth visiting not just for the food, but also for the unique atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!
We were a group of 6. Was sat at a table that had a fire pit which was amazing. The food was excellent we had the bone marrow, corn dog onion rings, wagu skewers, the truffle mac & cheese. It melted in your mouth. The drinks were superb.
Known for its strong drinks, pool table, foosball & shuffleboard, this casual dive bar is cash-only.
Nice friendly bartender. Clean place with a few selections on tap and bottles as well. Great to hang out with friends and shoot pool. The pool tables have options either coins or dollar bills or might be able to use your credit card too. Also if I remember correctly for $5 you get an extra game. Saw posting for live banjo music sounds cool. Cute popcorn machine and jukebox for some music selections.
I came into this place needing to use the restroom and the bartender was a really nice guy who let me. He made me feel welcomed inside his bar, as a younger woman, who didn't look like anyone else inside the bar (during the middle of a week day). This is definitely a bar I would come back to, because the bartender was so kind. I didn't feel out of place, which I have in many other bars. It's clean in here, they have one wheelchair accessible "all gender" restroom, and karaoke! Very cool place.
This 1933 institution outlasted the waterfront but still draws crowds with pub grub & happy hour.
Your typical dive bar! I know for the locals and regulars, it is much more than that. I came here for the first time, on a Saturday around 12:30 pm. Not too busy as expected, the brunch crowd was clearing out and I would assume the place is at its peak at night. Very nice servers and bartenders. They made it a point to learn and remember my partners name which was nice. We just ordered a couple drinks and watched some sports, super chill Saturday. So much history here!
Nice Place to try out some Burgers. We came to try the sliders and they did not disapoint really good. Chill atmosphere will be coming back again to try more food. The Bufalo salad was good aswell must try.
Restaurant & bar featuring 1,800+ whiskeys alongside food such as burgers, sausages & charcuterie.
Great place for happy hour. Food is good, drinks are better. We had the Happy Hour Salmon, Porkchop, and Mac-n-Cheese. With the Creme Brulee and Brownie to wrap it up. Definitely worth the visit for just the Atmosphere and whiskey selection.
Came in with high expectations, left with a $20 Old Fashioned and an eye-roll. Yes, the whiskey wall is jaw-dropping. It’s a collector’s dream, or maybe just an Instagram backdrop. But if you’re looking to actually enjoy a pour without feeling like you’re taking out a second mortgage — this ain’t it. The Pappy Van Winkle flight at $599? Get outta here. That’s not tasting — that’s theft. Plenty of places serve the same for a fraction of the price. You're paying for hype, not hospitality. Service was fine, drinks were okay, but the vibe felt more like a velvet-rope museum than a bar that respects whiskey drinkers. Verdict: Amazing selection, sure. But unless you're an oil baron or just really into price-flexing, this is more of a see-and-leave spot than a stay-and-savor one. Hard pass.
We stumbled into this gem and were greeted like regulars—which is always a good sign. The decor? Think funky meets fabulous. We cozied up at the bar and weren’t disappointed.Yes, the happy hour martinis are premade—gasp!—but even my husband, who treats martini-making like a sacred ritual, gave it a solid thumbs up. I went for a hand crafted mezcal cocktail, asked for “not too sweet,” and the bartender understood the assignment. Great drinks, cool crowd. Definitely worth a stop if you like your cocktails well made and your bars with velvet paintings on the wall. If you desire an outdoor patio experience. They have that too.
I’ve heard about happy hour here so i was excited to try it out. I arrived around 4:30pm and it was quite crowded. I ordered an espresso martini (in a beer glass). I was told that they ran out of martini glasses. Later on, I also ordered an Appletini and a mojito. They were all average but strong. I was a bit disappointed that these drinks were pre-mixed and served from the dispensers though. The price was good so I guess it’s worth the visit.
Barman Tyler and some locals Gabe and Courtney made me feel welcome. Couple games of pool and some well priced drinks. Great place to check out if you like dive bars and rock music.
Pinball is confusing, Nikki was awesome and they served us fresh fruit. 10/10 would recommend if you are looking for an hour to kill while your AirBNB is being cleaned.
Sports TV & DJs accompany visits to this mod spot, known for craft beer, bourbon & flatbread pizzas.
If you're in gas lamp, this is a staple of the bar scene! Mornings, lunch, dinner and dance. They've been great since I've moved to SD in 2014 and I still keep on coming here. They got a build your own bloody mary in the mornings, they play foot ball on Sundays, the food and drinks are great here.
My FAVORITE place in Gaslamp!! The food here is always fresh and the portions are GENEROUS. I highly recommend the wings because the whiskey buffalo is fire! Also, this is one of the few places where a salad WILL fill you up. They come with delicious bread and always a 10/10. You can tell the food here is made with love and their condiments are homemade! This place is consistently exceeding my expectations with every season of menu they put out. They are currently on season 13 so I definitely recommend everyone try them out! Great place to catch a game with some delicious food! I come here at least twice a month :)
Stylish, red-hued haunt with a 1930s vibe, featuring live music & seasonally inspired cocktails.
They don't serve food here but they do serve excellent drinks! And they are not kidding around when they say they don't have vodka LOL. Very cool downstairs speakeasy. Excellent band tonight! No reservations required but very here before 9 if you wanna sit down.
Just had an excellent time at prohibition, where boredom is the only illegal thing here. You pay a small cover of $10 per person, and enjoy a great and intimate music experience. This was on a Saturday night. A must visit location for anyone who is even slightly interested in music and/or having a great time!
This place has great vibes and music, they were spinning vinyl which is a lost art these days. The bar tender Nick was quick, entertaining, poured a great drink and is a total babe! The art deco style and warm lighting made for a great atmosphere. The record store in the back was awesome to enjoy a cocktail while flipping through records. If you haven’t been…go!
I came in around 9pm on Friday. There wasn’t a line to get in but it was very packed. There’s a record store in the back that has some rare records that are worth checking out. I got three different drinks but i didn’t like any of them. I love sweet cocktails but they were all too sweet. The lychee one would taste really good if it wasn’t so sweet. I’d love to check it out again when it’s less crowded and maybe bartenders would have more time to make their drinks.
Elevated comfort eats & whiskey served in a stately space with leather booths & a fireplace.
The IPA, cocktail 🍸 / mocktail all are wonderful. The staff were really friendly. Also, it's quiet. The salad was also good. Worth coming if you don't like the noise on the street.
The spot is just relaxing. Old world feels with great service from the bartender. Everyone i talked to enjoyed their drinks, and the menu is simple, but well made. I really enjoy stopping here as my first stop downtown for a quiet drink and a snack. The whiskey selection is solid. 8 beers on tap. The bar can make an exceptional cocktail, I highly recommend taking the time to try some of them.
Happy hour starts at 6 AM at this cash-only mainstay with vintage decor & free pool on weekdays.
Hilarious, trashy, justified. Good vibes all around, pool tables are alright but free pool on some weeknights is great. Cheap as drinks. Cheapest drinks in PB and solid tenders with good vibes. Weekends it’s packed, but so is everywhere half again as costly so idk you figure it out.
👍🏻 Was an early morning visit with a friend in the area. The new bartender is very accommodating and very personable. Not inviting for those who vape. The back rear exit is more of an escape door to the garbage 🗑 alley. The tables worked and the drinks were good.
Compact cocktail joint serves standard drinks in a sailor-themed venue with a laid-back atmosphere.
Awesome dive bar within walking distance from our Airbnb. Cheap drinks, pool table, small arcade. What’s not to love!
Great local bar near the beautiful marina.
Unpretentious watering hole featuring beer & specialty cocktails along with pool tables & a jukebox.
Best bar in San Diego I have met a lot of people and memories. I think the music spectrum can satisfy and the love from the bartenders is something to mention. Thanks for being Black Cat.
I love it. My heart was dropped. Downstairs cats are more friendly.
Modern, wood-filled sports pub offering many craft beers on tap, plus table games & an outdoor area.
Great local sports bar. Great vibes at Home and Away. There is indoor and outdoor seating. There is a huge outdoor screen and TV's everywhere. We had a smash burger, chicken strips and carne asada sandwich. There were no complaints with the food. The smash burger was fantastic. The meals come with fries or tater tots and of course we all got tater tots. It was a great place to watch sports and tonight it was the NFL Thursday night game. The service was walk up and order from the bar, not much staff walking around checking on tables. If I lived in the area, it would be a place I would visit to watch sporting events and enjoy some good bar eats.
Came here for Thursday night football with the boys. I had the Tachos and they went with burgers. Really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and going up to the bar to order. Also there’s no shortage of screens, so everyone has a viewing angle to watch the game. Their outside area was great, especially in the fall when the weather is still warm. Food came out quick and was tasty.
Spacious, modern sports bar serving upscale pub grub in rustic-chic digs with tons of TVs.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ TOMS Watch Bar in San Diego is hands down one of the best sports bars in the city! The food came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious exactly what you want when you’re watching a game. Service was quick and fast, and I loved how the servers worked together, helping each other out so nothing was ever missed. Has a patio for furry friends 🥰! They were super accommodating too—when we asked to switch the game on the TV right in front of us, they made it happen immediately. The atmosphere is welcoming, the music is amazing, and you can feel the energy from the whole crowd. This is one of the few sports bars that actually interacts with the fans, which makes the experience even better. It’s directly next to Petco Park, so it’s the perfect spot before or after a Padres game. And if you’re a football fan, Sunday at TOMS is unbeatable the best vibes, wall-to-wall games, and a full A1 drink list that pairs perfectly with the food. If you’re looking for amazing sports bar food, top-notch service, and the ultimate game-day experience, TOMS Watch Bar is the place. Easily one of the best in San Diego!
This is the spot for all your sports festivities. The crowd it great, the host are great, the sound system is great, this is just an overall great establishment. I love the entertainment (the trivia questions, the DJ, Daniel on the mic keeping the establishment lit.....). I came way from Nevada just to stop by here and see what Tom's Watch Bar was about and most definitely, I will be back. Thank you for such a smooth and great experience, I have all smiles and 5 stars for this place.
Rollicking no-cover destination offers American comfort grub, mixed drinks & nightly specials.
Loud, fun place with a huge selection of beers on tap. Staff member in training did an excellent job. Drinks are big, food tasty and atmosphere friendly. Highly recommend the Carne Asada Fries
We were visiting San Diego from NY for a little getaway and wanted to go somewhere in the gaslamp on our last night there. My husband is extremely picky with food. After looking at places and reviews, we chose Taste and Thirst. Excellent choice! Food was great and staff was just as great! Fun atmosphere as well. We will definitely return on our next visit to San Diego.
Cocktails & casual comfort eats are the draw at this boisterous sports bar with shuffleboard & TVs.
DOPE!! Awesome, wonderful staff. Great food! I mean really fackin' good! Friendly, fun clientele. A lovely venue. They have really good live music and a great atmosphere. It has become one of my favourite places.
Was in the area for lunch and stumbled upon this gem. The tavern itself is pretty big inside with a ton of TV's, I asked the hostess when they closed on weekends and she said 1:30am - that's awesome. The beer list was solid, if you like IPA's the Society Pupil was very good. I got a bacon cheeseburger which was extremely filling and tasty. I'll definitely be back soon, fun spot!
San Diego VIP Nightlife does an awesome job arranging venues and drink specials that allows participants to enjoy free/reduced cost drinks and affordable bottle service options at the best venues in the Gaslamp . Brian Levinson takes special care to ensure each event runs seamlessly to ensure guests have an amazing experience.
If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is a scam. They charge you hundreds of dollars and advertise a themed event and then give you watered down drinks, frozen appetizers, music so loud and off theme it makes you leave after 10 min.
Nice big bar during the day. Large full bar area. Open space. Small dance area and a pool table. Nice patio space. Very fun 80-90s music during the day. Supposed euro dance place at night.
Great venue to see an electronic show. The outside patio is a nice place to cool off and take a break. The only negative about this place is the restroom situation. There are three tiny restrooms all with entrances at the side wall of the dance floor. If a line forms, which it usually does, the line will be in the dance floor. I don’t have to explain why this is ridiculous.
A menu featuring California & Mediterranean-inspired dishes & drinks in a lively space with a pool.
Fun atmosphere which changes seasonally. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Good music at an appropriate level to allow for conversations. For was good and I liked the cheesecake, sweet potato, and homemade chips. Arrive early and enjoy the ambiance in the outdoor garden.
Saw several tiktoks of this place and it seemed very whimsical. The entrance has a separate aesthetic, very nice and clean. The main location is smaller than I thought but it was still very nice in person. (Brunch) Now the food . I got what was kind of a club sandwich with strawberry preserves on the side. I didn’t have high expectations but the strawberry preserves had such a great flavor in combination with the sandwich . If you do choose to visit I’d recommend asking for seating in the main section to enjoy the atmosphere. I would say the only weird parts were the bathroom. It is gender neutral so just be ready for that
Snug hangout featuring a calendar of live bands, stand-up & karaoke, plus beer & offbeat cocktails.
Bartender Dave is always fun to be around with his loud ass jokes. I always know itll be a good and consistent drink, super fast service with him! Ive seen that place packed and hes like boom! Done, next! I really appreciate how fast it is he always holds it down so he deserved a good review. I also appreciate how he handles problematic drunks in order to keep the place safe! As a woman I reeeally appreciate that.
We went here on our twenty first and became regulars a year ago! Originally we had a five star with some great interactions with all of the bar tenders Some of the senior bartenders/ regulars reccomended us a few of the drinks that were made as a part of the menu and we've always had a great time with Mike, Matt, Hannah (?) and a few other bartenders, but tonight we came and ordered what we usually order and were met with extreme rudeness and plain being mean :-( They literally told us the drink was terrible and said they would refuse us next time if we ordered it again. I feel like for a random drink a simple no or a can you order something else is sufficient. Typically we have a great time but the energy tonight was definitely mean and we would've happily ordered something else. I'm really sad one of my favorite bars was ruined tonight when we brought all of our friends to enjoy boogie night :-( After talking to the people outside; confirmed it was a lot of people's experience tonight with these bartenders.
Breezy, beachside bar with understated decor & nightly events from live bands & sports to karaoke.
I love live music. I came during lunch and grabbed 2 delicious tacos on their Taco Tuesday special. Came back for the country band set. It is ignorant to have the beer pong table directly in front of the stage. I don’t want to see them playing in the corner of my eye. Can’t focus. Band has a great sound. Glad I could support and hear em.
The Pier is right outside. Great place to Grab a bite to eat. Cold drinks Friendly Service.
Relaxed sports bar offering pub grub & craft beers, plus billiards, dart boards & flat-screen TVs.
I ordered their burger with sautéed mushrooms and garlic fries. The burger was solid and the garlic fries were amazing! Their beers are good and the ranch was tasty! It’s laid back spot. Great to catch a game with a beer or to hang out.
Pitchers Sports Bar is hands down one of the best spots to enjoy great food, cold drinks, and an unbeatable sports atmosphere in San Diego. From the moment you walk in, the friendly staff makes you feel right at home. The brick oven pizza and wings are absolute must-tries, and the variety of craft beers and cocktails is impressive. The laid-back vibe with multiple TVs ensures you never miss a game, and the outdoor seating is perfect for a sunny day. Whether you're with friends or family, Pitchers delivers an exceptional experience every time. Highly recommended!
Strip-mall, neighborhood tavern offers cocktails, brews on tap & bar games amid an easygoing vibe.
One of my best go to spots when I am in the mood for a beer! Plenty of pool tables and TVs to watch your favorite sports teams. Also has a jukebox and an outdoor smoking area. The bartenders Gilly and KK are super friendly as well as the rest of the staff here.
Don't judge a book by its cover. We got there early before the crowd hit. Samantha was behind the bar and knew what she was doing. Sweet, easy to talk to, and totally authentic. We stayed for five hours and it seemed like 30 minutes. It is a neighborhood pub that was so welcoming to visitors. If you are nice you will fit right in. Serious pool players welcome!
An old-style, underwater-themed bar offering traditional cocktails in a dimly lit space.
This var is unique and beautiful. The art on the wall is fantastic to look at and the ambiance is fresh for a bar that's been there since 1941. I would go back. Had a good chill dive bar vibe.
I’ve been to Pacific Shore Cocktail Lounge before, but after my experience yesterday, I won’t be returning. When I entered, my friend ordered a lemonade, and when the bartender asked me what I wanted, I simply asked for a water. He completely ignored me after that and served everyone else around me without acknowledging me again. It wasn’t busy—just poor service. I’m not sure why I was treated that way, but it felt like I wasn’t even seen as a customer. I’ve experienced better service elsewhere, and this was just unprofessional. I hope the staff here takes note of how basic respect and attention can make all the difference in whether someone returns or not.
An outdoor patio & indoor basketball hoop, plus sports TV & hearty bar fare keep this joint jumping.
Staying in downtown San Diego and I went to Bubs primarily for their Wing Wednesday deal! The deal was 50% off wings. Got here at 3:30 pm, it was not busy and could easily find a table or place to sit. I ended up ordering an Firestone Walker 805 beer. For wings I ordered 5 Garlic Parmesan and 5 Lemon Pepper. The Lemon Pepper was super super good, amazing rub and flavor. The Garlic Parmesan was ok, great amount of garlic, lots of butter but not too much Parmesan. Both were solid but I definitely liked the Lemon Pepper. It also came with Ranch on the side which was nice. Overall solid place and I know it is a fan favorite before and after the Padres games.
Great place to watch sports games. Waitress was very welcoming, providing what's the favorites. We got the wings for appetizers grilled with sauce on the side. They were very good and a nice size. The main course were burgers cooked to your liking. We also got drinks which were very delicious. Definitely try this out for a good sports bar with outside seating as well
Long-standing haunt serving basic beers & bar bites in welcoming, unpretentious digs.
Stopped in for a quick bite and beverage. Service was friendly and fast. Seating was good but can get crowded at times. Lotsa history and baseball memorabilia.
Jessica is the sweetest bar manager I have ever met. She took me in like family. I live two blocks away and make it a point to visit 2-3 times a day. The decore is reminecent of the Italian city of Tivoli and has photos throughout the establishment of first responders. Katy is kind, beautiful, and hilarious! I highly recommend going here to grab some delicious food, drink with friends, and or have a business meeting.
Cavernous sports bar filled with TVs & lounge areas, plus basic pub grub, Ping-Pong & big beer menu.
I come here mostly for prime rib Wednesdays. It’s a very good deal for a large piece of prime rib. Baked potato would be an additional charge. The regular items are reasonably priced. They are pretty busy during every visit. There’s usually a wait if you arrive after 5pm. The waitresses were nice but I waited for a long time to get a to go box and the check every time. Be prepared to wait for a table and your check. It’s not easy to find parking and that’s one of the reasons I don’t go often. Anyways, it seems like a good place to be for some beer and watch games.
I’ve been to Bullpen a few times now. This was probably my third visit, and I come specifically for their Wednesday prime rib special. For just $25.95, you get a massive cut of prime rib, easily 16 oz or more, served with steamed broccoli and a baked potato. For just $2 extra, you can get the potato fully loaded, and it’s absolutely worth it. The prime rib itself is the real star - perfectly seasoned, juicy, and full of flavor. It’s honestly one of the best deals in town for the quality and portion size. The atmosphere is what you’d expect from a classic sports bar: casual and unpretentious, with plenty of TVs showing all kinds of games. It’s not fancy, but it’s comfortable and lively. If you’re craving great prime rib without breaking the bank, I highly recommend checking out Bullpen on a Wednesday night. You won’t be disappointed.
Local bar with laid-back house party vibe features regular events such as game nights, bands & DJs.
One of my favorite places to see a show. It’s very casual and laid back. It’s an intimate way to catch artists who are rising in popularity. There is no stage per se, and the band is playing at the same level as the viewer. Because of this, it makes it almost feel like a house show which is fun. The drinks are solid and sometimes they even have rare beer releases like Pliny the Elder on tap. The neighborhood of South Park is also just a rad place to kick it before the show. The record store, local bars, and food nearby provide quite a lot of options before a show.
Wonderful neighborhood hangout. If you see Yacht Rock on the schedule you absolutely must attend. Look at the calendar for the kind of music you like and wear good dancing shoes!
Neighborhood bar for casual drinks & bites plus popular karaoke & other theme nights.
We came here for karaoke night on a Friday. It was crowded but we were able to get our drinks fairly quick as there are two bar areas. We came in as a group and we were able to find spot for all of us to hang out. I loved the vibes as the guests were singing along. I got tater tots and fried pickles and they were tasty and reasonably priced. I would come back for karaoke night again.
I went to the back bar and wanted to sit at a table, but there was water on the floor in the back. I noticed two tables were connected, so I shifted one slightly so I wouldn’t have to step in the dirty puddle or slip. Moments later, the bartender came up angrily and told me I wasn’t allowed to move the tables. I explained I was only doing that to avoid the puddle, but instead of addressing the actual issue, she was rude, aggressive, and disrespectful. The doorman at the entrance was also unfriendly. Staff should treat paying customers with respect — not hostility. Updated Review (in response to owner): I want to clarify what happened at the back bar. There was a puddle of dirty water on the floor, so I shifted one table slightly to avoid stepping in it. The bartender came up angrily, told me I wasn’t allowed to move it, and was extremely rude even after I explained why. The doorman at the entrance was also unfriendly. For the record, I did not “rearrange” furniture or block exits — I only moved a table a few inches because of the puddle your staff never addressed. I chose the tables in the back for privacy, and no, there were not “plenty of other tables” available at the time. Instead of acknowledging the puddle or how aggressively the bartender handled the situation, management keeps doubling down with excuses. The real issue here is not tables — it’s customer service and basic cleanliness. Actions speak louder than words — respectful service and a clean space go a lot further than excuses.
Bi-level, oceanside spot features sports, brew & basic pub grub on to 2 patios or inside.
Stopped by Sandbar and had a great experience. The service was solid and the food hit the spot. We started with chips, guac, and salsa—fresh, crunchy, and flavorful. The tacos were the highlight, especially the Surf n Turf taco. That one stood out the most—packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. Overall, it’s a fun spot with good food, good service, and a relaxed vibe. Definitely worth checking out if you’re craving tacos and a cold drink.
I’ve been going to this places an embarrassing amount since discovering it about 3 months ago. The TKO and Beach style tacos are my FAVORITE! You have a choice of portions, I usually get the pork or carne asada. Monthly they have a new drink. This month’s drink is basically a Lychee Margarita. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday, 3pm to 6pm. The happy hour menu is okay but I usually don’t order from it. The tacos come with a small portion of chips and salsa, so no need to order any if you are getting tacos. The wings are great!! There is an upstairs patio area that’s great during the day. They have restrooms on both floors. The entrance and downstairs restrooms are easy to access and seem wheelchair accessible.
Get the host Felix — he’s absolutely amazing! He made the entire night unforgettable! From keeping the group together to hyping everyone up, Felix knows how to turn a good night into a great one. He brings the energy, keeps things exciting, and makes sure no one’s left out. If you’re looking to experience nightlife the right way, this is the group to join. Highly recommend — 10/10 vibes all around!
Max, Marlene and Florence were great host! Had the best time and would definitely do it again anytime I can. Would recommend to anyone who wants to hang out with a group and have a good time.
We really like going there. Welcoming atmosphere where you can chat with your friends without shouting in a proper bar setting.
Overall, nice bar. There are pool tables and dart boards. The toilets were disgusting, but I mean not the worst in the world. The bartender was nice and was doing a great job. However, for a Friday night, there was only one person behind the bar. Definitely fits dive bar description
Relaxed sports bar serving beer, breakfast & pub grub in contemporary surroundings.
Hello, I just want to let you know that Barone is one of my favorite restaurants. It is family-run and its menu is very variable. It has different types of food. They have burritos, nachos, Mexican food, and also American food, typical of a bar. They also have Chinese food and rice bowls. It is very good because they have a great variety of foods and their beers are different types. They keep putting the best of beers, both bottled and canned, and also canbucha and wines, tequila and more, etc. But my favorite food is birria, tacos, cheese steak, burgers and appetizers, fried ravioli, chicken tenders, beyond meat in salads, C.R.B. and chopped salad. And one thing: the hamburgers are fresh meat, 8oz, so there are no excuses. In this place, you can eat everything. They also have dessert, icecream cake and donut holes, cake, pinaupsidedown. I tell you all, it is a very good option for everyone. Thank you, Barone. It has the best of the best, its prices are very affordable, the best of Little Italy.
Visiting the area from Philly! This place is great! If I close my eyes and imagine all of the Padres gear is Phillies gear then it reminds me of home. Great hot and fresh food and great service! I came twice on my 4 day stay. Thanks!
BBQ & cocktails served in an airy hangout with artificial grass & lawn games like cornhole.
This was our go-to spot before the game and it didn’t disappoint. Super fun atmosphere with interactive games to play with friends, and the sliders were actually really good. Tons of TVs so you don’t miss any of the action. The best part for me was the open rooftop — gave it that outdoor feel without having to deal with the heat. Great vibes all around!
Very lively place. There are some fun games to play on one side and the other side has the line dancing. The bartenders are usually pretty attentive. There's a $5 cover charge, but if you sign up the night before, you can get on the list to do the free line dancing lessons and get in for free.
Local watering hole with lively karaoke nights, multiple TVs, a pool table & outdoor patio.
What are great place. Cocktails are so good. They have a list of unique and classics. The music is good. The bartender was awesome. Pool tables were going. Clean and professional bar love this place.
No food, but my experience was great. This is the second time i've gone here and it was the best out of the two .Taylor was an amazing bartender. She made me and my friend feel like we were at home and honestly we will definitely come back again. I'm really eager to try their house mixes that they have of the drinks on their board. That's behind the bar, so I will try all of the 18, not next time, but it'll take a few times.
Historic tri-level hangout serves pub grub & signature drinks alongside games, comedy & live music.
Two floor club with good vibes! DJ played a lot of fun 2010 hits that we absolutely loved. Place was quite hot and stuffy and it closed by 1:30am. 5$ cover charge. We were there on a Saturday night and it wasn’t too crowded- definitely will want to come again!
The Tipsy Crow in San Diego’s Gaslamp has a fun vibe overall, but the experience was a bit mixed. The bartenders were fantastic — super friendly, fast, and made great drinks. Food and beverages were decent; nothing extraordinary, but definitely hit the spot for a night out. However, the security staff left a bad impression. They were rude when clearing out chairs from the bar area, making people who were already seated feel unwelcome. It definitely put a damper on the atmosphere. All in all, it’s a decent spot if you're looking for good service at the bar, but don’t expect the same friendliness from the security team.
Burgers, tacos & other casual fare served in a laid-back setting featuring TVs & pool tables.
Burgers were delicious, seasoned really nicely, and it comes with a ton of fries, cooked and salted perfectly. The bartender was very attentive and suggested a few good beers. Great place to stop while visiting San Diego.
I get here two nights in a row while visiting. The burger was exceptional. Five stars. The fries were terrible. One star. How salad was good, four stars. I'm so sick of the local beer trend. I hate paying nearly $10 to try a beer I've never had and often don't love. If there was a few more bottled beer choices I would have drank on the second night. But I didn't love any of my beers from the first night, so I decided to skip it rather than experimenting blindly. The bartender was really friendly.
Lots of TVs, pub grub & happy-hour deals, plus 2 patios, draw sports fans to this chill hangout.
Went in early afternoon for lunch while waiting for my hotel room and get some work done (they have wifi, but was a little weak). Paid about $44 for small salad, couple beers, and the Salt and Pepper wings. Food was surprisingly good! The wings were large and hot right out of the fryer. I only wanted 5 wings, but must get full 10 order for their special wings (it was worth it). Shout out to Patrick for the good service. Only complaints were the counter top was dirty and sticky, tap list is weak, and TV positions are not ideal if you want to watch a sports game. So I could not give 5 stars.
Nice bar in the gaslamp area, they have a good selection of non-alcoholic brews, and the food looks amazing although I can’t Recommend it since I didn’t try it. Restrooms stairs,, big screen, TVs, and really nice to sit at the bar area at the street level .
Relaxed spot for drinks featuring an ample bar, budget pours & busy pool tables.
Fantastic little dive in Downtown. Love the low key vibe, bartenders, and music. Drink prices are very reasonable and they have an excellent happy hour, 1pm to 6pm and $4-6 select drafts, $4 wells, and other featured bevvies at low prices
This is my go to dive bar in Downtown SD. Cheap drinks, nice pool tables, good people. Marina is my favorite bartender, if you see her behind the bar, you are in good hands. If you are a pool player, you should also check the 9ball tournament on Mondays and 8ball tournament on Wednesday.
Down-to-earth fixture serves up cocktails & draft brews amid wooden tables & lots of sports TVs.
This place is always an awesome visit when we return every year. Great staff and awesome beer prices, but sometimes the cashews are steal but at least they are available lol. Best atmosphere in PB! Note to self, don't trust their website for accuracy.
Giving Open Bar even one star feels too generous. The bartenders here are unbelievably rude and act so entitled, like customers are a burden instead of the reason they even have a job. One bartender actually gave my friend attitude for not tipping — and while I get that tipping is standard, the way she handled it was completely unnecessary. Her rudeness honestly made me glad my friend didn’t tip, because she didn’t deserve a penny with that attitude. Maybe try giving better service if you want to earn tips.
Rooftop club at the Andaz Hotel, catering to the velvet-rope crowd & offering VIP bottle service.
In the heart of San Diego, The Rooftop by STK is not above the restaurant, but rather the Andaz Hotel. With that in mind, you’ll have to enter the hotel and head to the top. The space is really well maintained with decor that’s typical of the Andaz—modern with elements of pop art. There’s a giant mural of Aubrey Hepburn and co-ed bathroom entrances. That kind of vibe. There’s tons of outdoor seating and a giant bar where you can order food from STK. The menu is a little pricey, but expected because it’s downtown and a higher end hotel. There is a pool, but reserved for guests (I believe). I wish the view was better, but it’s still a nice rooftop. My girlfriend and I went during happy hour and the menu featured discounted drinks and shareable dishes. Again, it was pricey for what it was, but expected. The bartender provided excellent service, which is truly why I gave it four stars instead of three. If you’re looking to be outdoors and on a sunny San Diego day, this is a great option.
Quick bite and drinks after work opened up the evening and kick-started a nice weekend. Service was good, food was good, views of the baseball game at the stadium, and all within walking distance of home.
Smart spot where fashionable types groove to DJ-fueled beats & sip specialty drinks on velvet sofas.
Absolutely had an amazing time at Sidebar! Not only is the staff amazing and respectful but the vibes and atmosphere is just perfect! I booked a VIP bottle service table for my birthday and they went above and beyond posting my pics on the screen and even a custom birthday show. I will absolutely be coming back. Would give 10 stars if I could.
The experience was pleasant. We went to celebrate a double birthday. We were a group of more than 20 people, so they put us in the lounges near the entrance, and thank goodness because the place was packed when we walked to the bathroom at the back. People wouldn't even let you pass, the hallways were blocked, and the air didn't even circulate. Overall, the music was good and the atmosphere was good. The waiters and the doorman were friendly and helped us have an amazing time.
American cuisine, craft beers & cocktails in a lounge featuring surf videos & a wavelike ceiling.
Duck Dive is a gem! The adobo chicken tacos were hands down the best tacos I’ve ever had. The cucumber lemonade was so delicious and refreshing—perfect pairing with the meal. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, with TVs for games, and the staff made the experience even better. Definitely a new favorite spot!
While I like to be in PB during the week and never been to their weekend brunch, this is one of my go-to spots! The chicken tenders are ( in my opinion) the best in all of San Diego! I recently learned they hand bread them to order which explains why they’re so good. Their cocktail list is really extensive -both with classics and their own signature concoctions. Always great service, especially when Lauren or Michi are bartending! 10/10
Stylish bar on a hotel rooftop with skyline views, lounge seating & a communal fire pit.
The Nolen is a hidden treasure- best happy hour. We sat the bar and our bartender was hysterical! The cocktails and wine were great, truffle fries and spicy meatballs super yummy. You can see over into Petco Park which was neat to hear them cheer then see the play on TV. Cool vibe, cheap happy hour - don't miss it CHEERS
Great spot with an excellent view of San Diego—perfect place to bring visiting friends. The happy hour pricing is decent, though a few items felt a bit overpriced. The meatballs were $18 for just two pieces, which seemed steep. Flatbread was okay, but the truffle fries were definitely the highlight. Also had an Old Fashioned for $7, which was a nice deal.
The views are amazing, especially at sunset! However the food was not great - we ordered the baked cookie and brownie and it was a store bought brownie stacked on a store bought cookie that had been lightly reheated with a little whipped cream on the plate. The service was pretty slow, we asked for our check and waited about 15-20 minutes before going up to the bar to close out ourselves.
We recently hosted an event at Harbor & Sky at Marriott Bayfront - Residence Inn & SpringHill Suites San Diego Downtown Bayfront, and I cannot say enough about the incredible support and flexibility of the team. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond—accommodating changes, adapting to last-minute requests, and making sure every detail was perfect. The professionalism combined with genuine hospitality left a lasting impression on us and our guests, and it truly contributed to the success of our event. What could have been a stressful situation was made smooth and enjoyable thanks to their understanding and adaptability. From the bartender to catering to event coordination, everyone played a role in making our experience outstanding. We are deeply grateful and look forward to working with this team again in the future. Highly recommend this venue to anyone planning an event in San Diego!
From hip-hop to house, eclectic DJ-spun beats fuel this sleek subterranean nightspot.
Club is really fun. Bottom floor is reggaeton, and the main floor is a mixture of your typical club mixes (Top 40, hip hop, edm). It’s a free entry if you go to their website and get a mobile ticket. However I think it’s free with a ticket until 10:30.( don’t quote me, double check their Instagram) other than that the club is nice with a lot of space. It gets pretty packed. I’ve been 3 times and each time I’ve always had a good time. The video I included is their main floor.
Onyx is very fun great music for everyone. Three different levels which was fun to stay at all night. You can rsvp for free or pay 20 later in the night. Would recommend.
I had the pleasure of photographing a fantastic corporate event at the Park Nightclub, where employees truly let loose and enjoyed themselves. The venue was perfect, the food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. It was a night of pure fun and celebration for everyone involved.
One of the worst experiences ever on Sunday (8/31/25) first my friends and I got seated at a table and we were deciding on a bottle but no one ever came to take our order and then we got kicked out because other people bought a bottle and were told there was no other table available even though we wanted to purchase a bottle. Then a security guard or whatever he is was pushing my friends and I on the dance floor, I understand it's a tight spot and we kept trying to respect the barrier but we were getting pushed ourselves because it was so crowded. He was yelling at us unnecessarily and in the a video I recorded he screamed the ‘F word’ really loud to which the other guy checked on us and asked if he screamed. He then grabbed an innocent guy walking and was disrespectful to him. In another video he is pushing on my friends and I and was using unnecessary force to push back and at that point he was pushed past the barrier. Again i understand the barrier and trying to make space to walk through but this has been the first time this had happened and we weren't the only ones being pushed. My friends and I will likely never come back because the service was horrible and the guard was disrespectful. I spoke to a manager I believe his name was David (long curly hair) and sent him the videos and gave him my information but I'm not sure if anything more will happen. UPDATE: The manager, David, made the situation better and had us back another night and my friends and I were able to have the night we originally wanted. We had so much fun and the environment was amazing, music was great and felt very well taken care of. Hopefully my friends and I will be back soon! Thank you David :)
Since Bloom likes to STEAL money from people and refuse to answer any and all correspondence, I've been left with having to leave this atrocity with the public. I attended a Lady Faith show with two friends of mine. Upon entering the club I proceeded to coat check where I paid $5 to check my sweater and signed the receipt. Immediately after I went to the bar nearest the enterance and order one singular drink. A drink i did not even finish. I signed my receipt (totaling around $20-30) and moved to the dance floor. The next morning, I awoke to see i was charged for an additional $116 tab and than a tip on top of it days later. A bill i did not accrue, did not pay for and sure as hell DID NOT SIGN FOR. Your male bartender on the right hand side charged me for someone elses bill or rang up a fraudulent charge to make an extra buck. I have since been spamming emails, phone calls, and even Facebook messages that are being read and ignored. So congratulations on being thieves. And thank you so much for making me never want to come back to a club I used to love and frequent often. With that being said, look at your god damn security takes, gather your receipt for this bill that DOES NOT have my signature on it, and refund my freaking money.
Had a great night here! Loved the sound quality, lights, and overall experience. And by far the fanciest club bathroom
Casual bar food & drinks star at this tavern with a lively dance floor plus plenty of TVs.
True North is a True Testament to Dive/Sport bar culture in a sea of gimmicks, novelties, and aesthetic. It’s simple yet reliable, as a True Tavern should be. With affordable drink options for the common bargoer, to various tvs and comfortable seating options for any sporting event. As for food, they’re one of the rare venues that allow for outside food from nearby venues - allowing for an established sense of community from a reliable source.
Quite a different bar than the ones I'm used to - but management has really stepped it up a notch here... The much needed maintenance hasn't gone unnoticed... There's even a new energy that can be felt when you walk thru the doors. Not only has True North opened one more day a week, but I hear there's even more great things to come! Great venue for fights and dance club nights in the all eclectic North Park crowd. Two thumbs and five stars from this guy!
Lively watering hole with a beachy vibe features an expansive patio, TV sports & a bar bites menu.
As a long time patron of the club (almost 4 years), I have apparently been banned over a false accusation from a group I never interacted with. A group of female patrons lied to security and stated I was following them around and "taking pictures". No one had evidence of this. The following weekend, when I approached the line, they said "we can't let you back in the club anymore" and "your scan isn't going to work". Claimed I was banned and marked as a dangerous patron. I didn't do anything. They didn't even scan my ID before they told me I was banned. I had been in there the weekend before (after this incident occurred), they scanned the ID, everything was fine. They said to speak to a manager about the situation but I'm not going to waste my time. I treat people with respect, so I'm not sure how I could be accused of 'sexual harassment' towards a group of people I never interacted with. Talk about defamation of character... Mavericks was my favorite bar. Was. Not anymore!
Great Food and Presentation! I love the open area. You can really enjoy the ocean breeze. Great place to be with friends and family.
Swanky outdoor club high atop the Gaslamp Marriott with views of Petco Park, plus DJs & fire pits.
Stunning rooftop bar. No cover charge! The bouncers at the entrance were friendly and explained the layout of the space which was really nice. We arrived around 9pm on a Saturday but the party music/crowd didn’t start until about 10:15pm. Lots of places to sit and stand with a counter around the rooftop edge to admire the views of the city. Drinks were pretty good but don’t expect anything super strong. Very clear view of the Padres stadium, convention center, and other well-known downtown buildings. Even saw some fireworks from the Rady Shell performance! Highly recommend stopping by for a drink and a beautiful view of the city from above.
Good view. Good cocktail. Nice fire pit. The drinks selection was smaller and differed from what was online, but overall a good place to grab a quick drink before dinner. The metal balustrade could be modernised to make it feel a little more luxury and a little less police custody toilet… but don’t let that distract or discourage you from grabbing a beer and taking in the evening skyline.
Festive pub offering casual bites such as pizza, wings & tacos, plus beer, cocktails & games on TV.
Was visiting San Diego and went on a Cisco live week ! The whole downtown was crazy and it was crowded . We were walking through the downtown and found this place . One of my friends suggested this . The place was huge and they had lots of tables inside and outside the restaurant! The bar was vibrant and they had some variety of beers on the tap . We had blue moon and it tasted a bit watered down. We then had the hazy IPA and it was really good . Lots of options to choose from . The issue was - SERVICE !! For so many people sitting in bar , there was only one bar tender and it was making the whole process so slow ! Once we get an order , it takes 10-15 mins for the next time someone comes and asks us .. with the higher influx of customers during Cisco live week- they should have hired more helpers . Food was good overall and wasn’t that pricey .! Price wise everything was normal and not too expensive . We had guac and chips and pizza and few other stuff . Everything was ok 👍 me For whatever I know and could taste like a PRO , I surely will give this restaurant a 4 star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ American Junkie never misses! Huge shoutout to Alexa behind the bar — straight up an all-star. Kept the drinks flowing and the energy high all night. The music? 🔥FIRE🔥 . Big props to DJ Wubbzy (Issac) for dropping banger after banger — had the whole floor moving. (On a Tuesday) Props to Mario & Ryan on barback duty keeping it tight, and to Tim & Valeria for the good vibes. Even the security guard was cool and professional — rare to see that kind of hospitality front to back. From the Padres flag overhead to the party wheel and neon lights, the whole place runs like a well-oiled San Diego nightlife machine. Junkie’s got the formula. Certified downtown gem. I’ll be back. 💯
Centrally located club hosts well-known & underground DJs, plus it serves bar food until 2 AM.
Had an experience where it was escalated to the floor manager. Great de escalation and conversation where both of us talked through the situation and found a resolve where both parties came to a solution. Solid customer service where concerns were addressed in a professional manner. Even the head of security received the feedback and escalated in an appropriate manner. 2 levels of management addressed the concern from the customer. This is what folks look for when dealing with concerns. Solid job spin. No spite. No disrespect. Just 3 working professionals working though a concern. Plus. Bartenders and music were on point. Couldn’t ask for more. Total time to resolve: 5 minutes. Excellent job setting the standard for other venues here in San Diego.
Best club in San Diego, with the best music and best parties. I appreciate that it’s all about the dance floor(s) and lounge areas at Spin, not bottle service and VIP areas like most places downtown. They book awesome talent, and it’s not just mainstream house all the time. Some nights they open the rooftop too which I love!
Gentleman's club with exotic dancers, a full bar, VIP tables, DJs & a varied menu.
The talent in this place is UNREAL❤️🔥 I had the best time here with my friends and have to give a shoutout to one dancer in particular, Paris. She put on my favorite performance and worked the stage like no other… her moves made my jaw drop. Her energy is electric, her body is mesmerizing and I will 100% be back just for her. Overall amazing vibes at Pacers - it was clean, bartenders were so sweet and I’ll definitely be back to celebrate and worship all the talented girls. ✨
Went on a Tuesday evening evening fairly early around 8pm. The valet was nice got my vehicle in a good spot. The door man was cool and recommended the steak meal which was only 2 dollars. Pretty good steak for the price. The inside mostly empty due to how early it was but the music was good and the girls were doing their thing. The one girl (Zam) that caught my attention when I got in came over to talk with me. She is very out going a easy to talk to and has just overall good to be around. I could just sit there for hours talking to her. She helped me order the steak meal and sat and talked with me while I enjoyed the meal. I had to leave early and she walked me to the door and gave me a hug as I left but I will definitely be back to see her again.
Craft cocktails, karaoke & nightly DJ music featured in a hip, bustling lounge & dance venue.
The bass from this club is so loud that it can be heard over 2 blocks away at 1:30am. Attempts to reach management have failed. I have been informed by the city council that if enough noise complaints are filed with the police then the city can revoke the liquor license based on the business being a nuisance. Unfortunately it looks like this is the path that have to be taken unless something changes soon. This was an issue a year ago and it was resolved then. Not sure what changed but let's please go back to the way things were.
I came here for a Latin club night with dj groups from Tijuana converging on this unassuming night club. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the crowd and energy. The staff were having a slower day but friendly none the less. Bathrooms for the men were solid and no towel guy which I was stoked on. Basic margarita was tasty and maybe a bit artificial, but hey, it is what it is. Just glad the programming was fun.
Upbeat nightclub featuring colorful lighting, DJs, live bands & themed dance nights.
Great food, great music, great experience! When Real Estate takes a break, he orders a Sangria.
Horrible I do not recommend this place everything is way over priced they don’t have anywhere to sit they want to force you to buy a bottle or their is no where to sit they rather have the place empty of where you can sit than to let ppl be comfortable ..the securities are extremely rude and not welcoming and even though it was a Mexican band that day their was a whole bunch of little drunk kids in their it’s all variety of ppl their many races idk I didn’t like it at all the service is horrible
I I recently visited Cielo Rooftop Lounge in San Diego for brunch, and I was excited to try out this spot after finding it on Google Maps—it looked pretty awesome! I really wanted to try their food. When my friends and I arrived, the host, Cici informed us that there would be a wait of 45 minutes to an hour for a table. After an hour had passed, we decided to check in with her again, only to be told that there was still a wait of another 20 to 30 minutes. We patiently waited an additional 30 minutes and returned for a second update, at which point she bluntly stated that there were no tables available at that time due to incoming reservations. In the meantime, we ordered the bottomless mimosas for $20 per person, which were delicious, and the service was friendly and prompt. The atmosphere was lively and fun, with great music that added to the overall experience. While the host could have done a better job managing expectations regarding the wait times, I still recommend Cielo Rooftop Lounge if you’re in San Diego and looking for a vibrant rooftop spot with fantastic music and a lively atmosphere. Just be prepared for potential wait times! I’m reading three stars based on my experience and I hope this issue is fixed in the future! Thanks management.
Came here to celebrate and as soon as me and my party walked in the entrance was dirty, smelled like pee, and looked like it was abandoned. Before we went to the rooftop we stopped by the bathroom and it was a mess and everything was either broken, clogged, or there was no toilet paper. As soon as we were sat at our table it was dirty and sticky. Our waitress took 30 mins to come to our table for drinks and food. Not only that but she also forgot a person from our party food so she had to wait another extra 20-30 mins. As for our food, it was insulting! It was dry, unseasoned, and greasy. Overall I do not recommend coming here this place.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nova Nightclub - Downtown SD Shoutout to Alex the security guard — always respectful, welcoming, and on point. The entire staff consistently treats you like VIP. The vibes are electric, the reggaeton scene is straight 🔥, and the energy never misses. Nova brings that Latin heat to Downtown San Diego — easily one of the best spots in the city. Keep doing what y’all do!
The security overall was EXTREMELY rude. The main one at the door a guy with a slickback and a moustache a bit older was on a power trip… Joe, from the rooftop was A1, what a guy! Although he denied my request, he was sensible and cool. The party was meh, the djs played all different types of electronic music some where wayy too hardcore.
Live bands play & DJs spin Latin & pop music at this club with a spacious dance floor & buzzy patio.
This place has turned into an old folks home. There was only viejas when we went. Do not recommend if you are below the age of 40!
Terrible experience! The level of unprofessionalism from the female owner is absolutely shocking, vulgar and unacceptable. She will attempt to get you kicked out for wearing a nice fitted dress! She also name calls her customers! I paid to enter this place and my friends and I were horribly treated, will most definitely not return!!!
Not a very formal review, as we just stopped in here for a drink after a Padres game. They had $5 "u-call-its" on a Saturday evening which I thought was too good to be true. We had a vodka red bull and a vodka tonic. Both were good! Music was good and it wasn't very crowded yet.
The space here isn’t very large, the music atmosphere needs better, and the lighting is particularly bright for a night club. The customers are very good dancers. Door charge is $10, and drinks cost$20.
Massive subterranean venue pulses with DJ-spun hip-hop in snazzy metallic & mirrored digs.
Very WEIRD vibes, the bouncer did a pat down but was excessively HANDSY to a male member of our group to the point said person was completely uncomfortable. Charged $20 dollars a head for an empty bar, none of the bartenders even acknowledged the group even after walking up to the bar. Musty smell, bunch of 12 year olds grinding like they were at a high school dance and workers standing around. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If you’re looking for a fun nightclub this IS NOT IT. 0/5 ⭐️
Terrible music, the dj changes the best songs after 30 seconds then plays music that makes people want to go to the bathroom instead of being on the dance floor. Usually empty and just not a fun time. They make it free to try and get under 21 people in to make up for how boring this place is. If you can go somewhere else
