Loved this place. So good, beautiful wine selection and the food is so delicious. I pigged out and got 6 plates of food + crème brûlée which was 10/10 btw. Super chill vibes sitting outside enjoying a glass of wine watching the sunset. Only thing that would’ve made it better would’ve been a cheeky cigarette after.
Menu is constantly changing with seasonal items so the one posted is from 9/7/25. Ming was our server and he recommended all the hits and great wine pairings. Everything was delicious and can’t wait to go back. Nott pictured is the creme brûlée since that we were given to help celebrate our anniversary.
Below-ground bar with velvety banquettes, serving cocktails made by bartenders in 1920s attire.
Their bartenders make great drinks! I wish that their interior was more decorated and felt more like a British speakeasy pub.
Big thumbs up on the friendly service, cozy environment, and top-notch cocktails! Went here with a friend last night (Friday) around 8pm. Already getting crowded but we still found a cozy place to sit and could hear each other pretty well. Can't say enough about the friendly, welcoming, and talented staff and wish I had gotten their names so I could better recognize them here. The doorman was genuinely warm and instantly made us feel welcome (though I was amused he even requested to check the ID of 50something gray-haired me :D). The bartender closest to the entrance immediately and warmly welcomed us as well. Two different bartenders served us and both were friendly, engaging, and clearly talented at their craft. My friend and I tried four very different cocktails and all were great! I do wish they served food other than just nuts here; while in fairness there's a food hall just around the corner with a decent variety of options, it would have been nice to sip the cocktails alongside food. Re pricing: most of the cocktails are $17 + tax + tip, though their cocktails on draft (!) range from $12-16. EDITED TO ADD: Disappointed to discover that Haberdasher calculates the tip as a percentage of the purchase PLUS taxes. I get why places do this (obviously), but it just doesn't seem very fair.
Informal, loftlike watering hole with classic & unique cocktails, craft beers & California wines.
Pretty nice bar. Good selection of craft beers and cocktail options. Always busy, sometimes hard to get service and a seat, but San Pedro market has a good outdoor area
A place with good vibes and live music and lots of food choices. Liked the beers on tap, especially the IPA. Smooth and just enough punch. Enjoyed the pizza but no seasoning other chilli flakes and cheese. Garlic yucca fries were decent but the dip made it better.
Stellar service from the team here at Fairway Zone Sports and Bar Lounge. The vibe, 10/10. The cleanliness 10/10. The well-chosen menu and equipment, 10/10. The stiff drinks, 10/10. Special thanks to Lindon who helped us with getting us set up. My "Semi" pro friend said that your simulator was super accurate. Like he is a compass himself. Simulator has left and right-handed techniques, and the staff also had both left- and right-handed high-quality clubs to use. We will be back with our team to host a fun company outing. Thanks again!
I love coming here to hang out with my friends and watch sports too. Love the food here too! My server was Brianna and she is awesome made sure my order was good. Always positive vibes. My kids have fun too. Would definitely be going more often!
Great atmosphere. Lots of tv's with sports. Good music. Pool tables and darts. Full bar. I didn't try food as I just came for a few cold ones after work. Definitely coming back tho. Hope this spot stays open. Support your local small businesses people. 🇲🇽 🇺🇲
5 out of 5, I like this place, great vibe, food is really good, I tried one of their burgers with onion rings 👍🏼, the bartenders are super cool, this is a good spot to chill!!
Great place for a lot of things. We went in for an art gallery event and end up staying longer having something to eat and playing a board game. It was missing some pieces (sad, people should take care of them), but still possible to play so very fun. The staff very friendly and the outfits on point. Drinks very good. Very cool event as well. We could see a lot of people having fun in different ways and that was very cool too. Definitely coming back.
I love how open and spacious Guildhouse is! I think it really helps with sounds maybe? Because even with music playing, there was good ambience noise wise while also being able to hear your own group clearly while playing games. It seems like it’s currently decorated with many sakura and Spring blossoms for the season which I adore. There’s plenty of seating options and a lot of room in general although I can see it getting a lot busier. There are also a couple of rooms of rooms to choose to play in, the variety is really great. Especially with the board games and most seem pretty well maintained! The cocktails were fun and I enjoyed them! It hard to choose from the menu. I also liked the snack options which makes for great bites especially after all the friendly competition.
Wife and friends had a hell of a time in Cash only after the Morgan Wallen concert in San Jose. Liked the atmosphere, staff, drinks, and pool table. Wearing a Trump-Vance as “stepbrothers” tee shirt was no problem.
I had a wonderful time at this bar. Great music. Jay, the bartender is excellent. When I arrived, the doorman told me that he had stopped letting people in. However, he allowed me to come inside. I'm glad that he did. If you are visiting San Jose and you want to enjoy a good beer and great customer service, then visit this bar.
Nice intimate Club. On Sunday night. They had a live Latin band with plenty of floor space for dancing.
This new lounge is absolutely stunning! The Asian-inspired theme is beautifully executed, with different sections to explore throughout the large space. Two bars and tons of comfy lounge seating make it perfect for groups. The decor is incredible - think lush trees, a dramatic red bridge, and eye-catching wallpaper. You'll definitely want to take some pictures! Plus, the staff is amazing. I can't wait to see how this place evolves!
Ordered food from there and went to pick it up the next day. When I got there I had to wait behind a crowd at the bar. Then bartender got upset with for saying "why do you need my ID, I'm only here to pick up food." As I was getting my ID out I was told that I was taking things personally and I just ignored the comment as it seemed like the bartender was drunk. Sat there waiting for 15-20 for food which should have already been ready. When they brought the food out, I was told not to come back of I couldn't be nice to the bartender. I would not recommend ordering food from a place where the staff is drunk at 5:30 pm and rude to customers
The gloryhole in the mens bathroom is way too high and is way too narrow for my girth. Please redrill a bigger hole and chamfer the edges so I won’t get splinters. Thanks
Large industrial space with a selection of American bar food, vintage arcade games & cocktails.
Came here for a pinball tournament. It's a very nice bar and has several separate areas where there also video games along the walls. The pinball machines are in the back area where the food pickup area is. I ordered a Maitai from the front bar and it was really nice. The pins are very nice too, and they are well maintained. Priced very well @.75/gm 3 for 2.00. I didn't order food, so I cannot comment, but it looked good.
The whole atmosphere of here is great, we went early on a Thursday to check it out. It wasn’t too busy when we got there but it quickly started filling up. The bartenders were great everyone was working fast but still very friendly. Drinks were good, I liked the uncommon blends they use to make unique cocktails.
Well-worn spot in an unassuming building known for local bands, loud music, drinks & a punk vibe.
The staff may come off as rude; however, I think it is because of the punk culture, not necessarily who they are. The live music is okay. CASH ONLY.
Very disappointed with my experience. I visited last night to support some local bands and friends who were performing. The drinks were mediocre—I ordered a Long Island and a tequila lime soda, both of which were made incorrectly and tasted watered down. After the performances, a few friends and I stepped outside for some air. There were multiple groups gathered outside, not just ours. At one point, we noticed another group—whom we did not know—taking Jell-O shots. While my group was simply standing in a circle talking, a bouncer suddenly approached us, yelling and accusing us of taking Jell-O shots. He told us we were being disrespectful to the bar and that we were no longer allowed back inside. I explained that none of us had taken any Jell-O shots and even showed him to prove it. He responded that he didn’t care and reiterated that we were banned from re-entering. You’re seriously going to kick out a group of 20 people who came to support your venue and brought in significant business—for something we didn’t even do? That’s absolutely unprofessional. Businesses should remember that their customers are the reason they stay open. This situation was incredibly frustrating because we were doing nothing wrong—just standing outside and following the rules. Overall: I do not recommend this place. The drinks are overpriced and watered down (especially for a dive bar), and the staff is rude and unprofessional. I won’t be spending my money here again.
I honestly don’t understand how anyone could leave a bad review here. This place has such a great atmosphere — it’s just impossible to say anything negative about it! The bar is very clean, the vibe is relaxed and welcoming, and the crowd is always interesting. A special thank you to the bartender Marcos— he’s incredibly friendly, attentive, and truly cares about his customers. Much appreciated!
Tony P's is a cool spot to go any time of day. I like to stop by for lunch and a beer or in the early evening after work. There's always a good crowd, I noticed they have their regulars when I do stop by. Overall, it's a decent bar with a delicious Taqueria adjoined inside. I always grab a bite when I'm there. You can't go wrong!
Down-to-earth bar catering to regulars from the neighborhood with DJs and beer pong.
Jack's is a hidden gem of a bar. From the outside it looks like your typical dive, but once you enter you'll notice the modern decor, a wide variety of excellent top and mid shelf liquors in a well organized bar shelf, a spacious outdoor patio and a second bar in the back. The service is excellent and the bar staff know how to make solid drinks. Q and Michelle, the bartenders were friendly and awesome. Brian, the manager took care of us and ensured we had a great time! They have a lot of TVs as well to watch games. Come here if you like a chill spot to have cocktails, beer or watch the game. Lots of friendly local folks in the late afternoon. Dog friendly until 9pm! You can order food at the bar (or QR code), which will be delivered quickly from a neighboring restaurant, J-Town pizza. Will visit again. 🍻
Chill vibe, great cocktails, and friendly staff. The smoked Old Fashioned was a standout—smooth and balanced. The place feels upscale but relaxed, with quick service even on a busy night. Prices are fair, and the crowd is cool without being loud. A solid spot for date night or catching up with friends
Relaxed spot with a long bar in an exposed brick space for creative or classic cocktails & snacks.
Paper Plane is an amazing spot for a late-night hangout in downtown San Jose! If you’re looking for great drinks, good food, and a lively atmosphere, this place checks all the boxes. I recently stopped by with friends, and we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The cocktails here are next-level—creative, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. The bartenders clearly know their craft, and the menu offers a wide variety of options, from classics with a twist to fun, unique concoctions you won’t find anywhere else. The food was equally impressive—perfect for sharing and exactly what you want when you’re out for a night of good drinks and conversations. Service was another highlight. Despite how busy it was, the staff was quick, friendly, and attentive without ever feeling rushed. It made the whole experience even better. The vibe at Paper Plane is perfect for both small groups and larger gatherings. It’s lively without being overwhelming, and the seating setup makes it easy to relax and enjoy the night. Whether you’re a local or just visiting San Jose, I highly recommend Paper Plane for a fun night out with friends, great drinks, and good vibes!
Finally visited this place and was not disappointed. The cocktails and the finger food were great! They have a limited menu and limited veg options but whatever options were there were great. One has to order at the bar and it's mostly self serve except food. The place can get pretty crowded during weekends. We ordered almost everything from the food menu and really liked the shrimp tacos / al pastor baos/ mushroom empanadas.
Cool, bustling hangout featuring innovative cocktails, craft beer on tap & live entertainment.
I don't frequent this bar often but when I do I have a great time. The drinks are delicious but on the pricey side. It's what you should expect from a crafted cocktail in San Jose. The staff was nice. I love the menu. It was fun, whimsical but tastefully presented. The bar itself is visually pleasing and beautifully lit. I think this would be a fantastic place to have a date. The booths are spacious but intimate at the same time. You could have a conversation and hear one another. I would love to come again and see how the space changes based on the night of the week. I stopped by on a Wednesday night.
Happy hour from 4-7pm. Came on Tuesday around 6PM. A lot of space at the bar. At least 4 tables available. Great food, good selection for happy hour drink. A little loud but not enough to shout.
Billiards & TV sports are popular at this low-key watering hole with burgers & 30 beers on tap.
Large servings and free soda refills!!!! I LOVED your Carnitas Street Bowl!! We're from San Diego and will DEFINITELY return!! The staff are so polite!!! Thank you!!!
It rare you get a local neighborhood bar that has an amazing craft beer selection, but what makes this spot even better is there is a food window located inside the bar open until 8pm. They are serving some fire, modern Mexican food, and even smash burgers. Did I mention the cute bartenders? lol. I'd definitely recommend this bar to anyone looking for something different.
High-end sports-bar chain with a huge menu of New American fare & an extensive list of draft beers.
The beer selection was amazing! The Kona Big Wave and House Belgian White were awesome. The vodka penne was a bit dry, so asked for extra vodka sauce to put on it. Wings were really good. Wisconsin cheese curds were amazing and as good as I had them in Wisconsin. Service was slightly slow but it was super busy, so totally understandable.
First time coming here and had a great experience. We booked a reservation before we got to the restaurant , upon arrival we checked in and were seated within 15 minutes. On a Friday at 6:00. Our waiter Maria was awesome. We were there celebrating a friend's birthday. After finishing our food and our beers Maria brought over a cake with a happy birthday on the plate. I don't know if this was the alcohol talking but this is one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had. We genuinely didn't expect anything for the birthday and we're completely surprised by this. This is basically the cherry on top we had already enjoyed our day and this just topped it off. Service was great food got delivered fast to the table. People were constantly checking up on us and felt great spending the money we did. We will 100% come back 10/10
Tried to prank call bartender Madison with the ‘hey is your refrigerator working’ joke, she must’ve been serving up some awesome drinks…. Will try again!
Love the refreshing Moscow mules! Our fav!
It is a very good place to have a nice time tacos drinks dance and live music .
Place look fun but upon pulling up, we friends and I could hear the music through the concrete outside. I’ve received permanent hearing loss from clubbing in the past so I got a little db sound reader on my phone for times like this now. Inside the venue, it picked up 138 decibels on the dance floor. That is instant permanent damage. Those speakers and subwoofers are way too loud. Can’t recommend anyone to come here under these conditions
Creative cocktails are accompanied by Mediterranean light eats & happy-hour specials.
What I expected good bar and great music. I was surprised to find phenomenal food. An added bonus was the bartender was great! He suggested everything we ordered and his choices were excellent. A definite return.
Great place for a drink or dinner. Here on a Friday night and they had a Jazz group playing. Interesting setting.
Roomy bar decked out with comfy sofas & reclaimed wood accents for specialty cocktails & craft beer.
No food available and no beers on tap working at 6pm on a Thursday. Not sure why they were even open.
Drinks were beautiful and delicious, Kerry really took care of the group and checked in regularly, vibe was relaxed then more pumped. Great space and there's even a private area upstairs and a patio in the back. Will be back!
Laid-back pub for traditional comfort food like Irish stew along with a good variety of draft beers.
They had as love name playing traditional music that was nice without being too loud. The food was really good, as was the drink selection. I'll happily come back here next time I'm in town.
I loved the atmosphere here. It was dark, loud and full of drunk people. It made me feel young. The music is extremely loud, so if you want to have a conversation, this might not be a place for you. Some of my friends got the Guinness, whereas I got a rum based cocktail which was very good and also reasonably priced. If your main objective is to have a good time, would definitely recommend this place. The decor is very irish and would transport you back to pubs in London and Ireland.
Warm, dimly lit 19th century–style cocktail bar with fancy old-school drinks & small plates.
I don’t really do bad reviews but I was really upset about this business. We were having a 30 year birthday next door and want to continue our celebration at five points. We were a group of 8 Asian American girls but only had a bottle of champagne between the 8 of us. The bouncer declined our entrance and continued to let other people that were not Asian American that looks very intoxicated through the door. We asked why and the bouncer just simply said “no”. No explanation or anything.
I was here for a private event and had a nice experience. LOCATION This bar is conveniently located near San Pedro's square (SPS). You can park in the SPS parking lot which provides 90 minutes of parking for free and only $1 for each additional 15 minutes. It's a short 5 minutes walk from the parking lot to the bar. AMBIANCE I like the spaciousness and warm decorated vibes that this place gives. Noise level is reasonable. Their restrooms are also clean and tidy. SERVICES Our server was attentive and made me one of the best Amaretto Sour drinks. Overall, I enjoy this place. Though I haven't tried any of their food item yet, I heard good things about them from my friends who've been here before. I'll definitely consider Five Points next time.
Jock memorabilia & multiple flat-screens plus craft beers & grub, all against a ski lodge backdrop.
The food in this bar was surprisingly very tasty. The waitresses were all very nice and welcoming. I'll be back for sure. The crab cakes were not made from imitation crab the veggies were grilled just right and the desert was good to. Great place for a quick bit and pleanty of televisions
Just a fun local place with a great craft beer selection and fun bartenders and a good selection of unique bar food. Also enjoy the rotating specials.
Alter Ego is one of the better spots for unique libations and real conversations in downtown San Jose. Most clubs are so loud and obnoxious they are difficult to navigate for anyone with a sense of self. This place understands the fine line between cool and approachable. Ray took great care of me and my friend on a Saturday night. We tried his signature cocktail called the Proxima Vida... and it was delightful. Good smokey flavor and cool presentation. Their most impressive drink is their take on carrot cake (Buster and Babs) In a cocktail. It contains filtered curdled milk. Making weird shit functionally delicious is a fantastic bartender talent. Definitely worth a stop in if you can get a reservation. Thanks Ray for a great night.
Great vibe! Incredible staff. Amazing attention to detail. Back of the house much different than the front. The milk bread was 100% delicious. And the asparagus was tasty. I’m seafood allergic and plant based, they were very accommodating. Highly recommend.
Very good place to drink and spend time with your friends
Always a great time for Karaoke here in Willow Glen!! The staff is on top of it making sure you have a good time and generally full of locals so you feel at home. But be careful, one of the bartenders actually has a pretty good voice so you'll have to set the bar higher. But definitely fun every time I have been there. See you again soon...
Unpretentious bar offering comfort grub, sports on TV, a pool table, pinball machines & a jukebox.
Found myself staying at the Holiday Inn next door but thankfully this bar was at hand. Very welcoming staff and locals. I was even given free and very tasty food on my first night. Highly recommended if you find yourself stranded in one of the nearby hotels!
We stayed at the Holiday Inn next store. I talked my friends into going here instead of the hotel bar. Great choice. Laid back atmosphere and great staff. Dium and Angel were great.
Family-friendly chain outpost pairs familiar pub fare with an extensive list of house brews.
This particular location is my go to spot when it comes to a quick fast casual bite to eat or a quick business luncheon or dinner. For whatever reason the service the staff provides here is very impressive... The staff members are thorough, courteous, patient and very attentive without being over bearing. Never had an issue with the service here. The food is also very good. I'm a regular here... I'm pretty sure I've gone through half the menu here... These are just some things I remember... #FastCasualEats: SHAREABLE APPETIZERS: ~ Deep Dish Nachos - 4/5 ~ Boneless Wings: - Tatonka Stout Buffalo sauce - 4/5 - Lemon Pepper Sesame Dry Rub - 4/5 PIZZAS: ~ Buffalo Chicken Pizza - 4/5 ~ Barbeque Chicken Pizza - 4/5 ~ Gourmet Five Meat Pizza - 4/5 BURGERS: ~ Bacon-Guacamole Deluxe Burger - 4/5 SANDWICHES & TACOS: ~ Brewhouse Philly - 4/5 DESSERT: ~ Cookies 'n' Cream Pizookie - 4/5 ~ SNEAKERS Pizookie - 5/5 Keep it up Coleman BJ's... see you soon!
We had a huge party come in towards 11 pm. Theatre gang. Coming from a show and ready to eat. Understandably they didn’t have a table that could handle all of us but they could seat us at different tables around the restaurant. Great plan! Food was great. Atmosphere was a vibe. Servers were everything and more!!!
A nice neighborhood bar with a friendly atmosphere. Great snacks, drinks, and a pool table. Fun meeting neighbors and new friends. Great drinks too. Not many cozy neighborhood bars left so stop by for a fun time.
Reminds me of a local neighbor bar from back east. It seems like everyone knows each other and willing to talk to strangers. I would love to have this my regular bar but it's a little far from me. Go there for a drink and you'll be back.
Spacious, light-filled watering hole offering American eats, tap brews & huge TVs for sports fans.
The service here was terrible. I went there to watch the games and it was not crowded. My friend and I sat at the bar. The bartender was largely on his phone and very not attentive. It took a while to even order our first round of drinks. Several times he left the bar area completely and at one point was just hanging out talking to the servers with his back to the bar. He never asked if we wanted anything else when my friend and I were close to done our drinks. At the end, we were trying to leave and he was no where to be found to close our tab so I had to go ask several other people to close it. The nachos are great and I would highly recommend getting them. Save yourself the hassle and just get take out.
Had a wonderful time in a great atmosphere with friends at Rookies. Food and drinks were superb.
Large outpost with sports on over 40 TVs also serving Asian-American fare, cocktails, wine & beer.
Everything is good here! We eat here quite a bit when we come out for games, haven't had anything that was bad. French dip for the first time today and it was amazing!
Great place for dinner if you live around this area. It’s a sports bar and restaurant that serves great burgers and steaks
TVs & hockey memorabilia line the walls of this rustic Sharks Ice watering hole serving bar fare.
It's a great place to unwind after the exercise on ice. $28/pitcher even with Pliny the Elder was a great deal.
We been coming here for years because my granddaughters have Ice skating but this year the service change and not for the better. We had to go up front and order our drinks and food , then pick it up when ready and it’s just put on the side no contact with anyone and yet they spect a Tip? I don’t think so!! When they come to our table and take our orders I won’t mind tipping.
We stopped randomly to watch the USC game and had the best experience. On our way home from Bodega Bay to Santa Barbara, Samantha and everyone else were so friendly and generous. An unforgettable experience!
Hole in wall bar and bar only, no food but they will let you bring outside food
Y’all got people like this coming to your club with the biker crew disgusting
I love how Lisa runs the bar when she's working. Depending on when you are there also depends greatly on the service and atmosphere. The bathrooms however are some of the worst I've seen. They definitely could use some serious attention. Great place for watching sports and the locals are very loyal to their teams and very much Bay area faithful including 49ers, Raiders, A's SF Giants, Sharks, Warriors, etc. Also often have karaoke and DJs. Karaoke to my knowledge is Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Drink prices are also favorable compared to many places and yes, they do also have happy hour.
Dimly lit strip-mall bar with pool tables, shuffleboard & DJ events.
Absolutely Terrible Experience! This is, without a doubt, the worst bar I’ve ever stepped into. The place reeks of stale beer, poor hygiene, and even worse attitudes from the staff. The drinks are overpriced, watered down, and served in dirty glasses. To make matters worse, the bartenders are rude and dismissive, acting like they’re doing you a favor just by acknowledging your presence. The music? Ear-splittingly loud and completely out of touch with the vibe anyone would want for a night out. The crowd? A mix of overly aggressive and just plain weird – definitely not a place to feel safe or comfortable. The bathrooms are a nightmare – filthy, barely functional, and clearly neglected for days at a time. Honestly, I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. Save your time, money, and sanity – go anywhere else but here.
Went to the Willow Den Public House for an event and had a splendid time there! I love the atmosphere and the people who frequent the spot. The owner Han is a really cool and friendly guy too! I loved the pool tables in the side and the different types of seating options. Plenty of bar seating and some booths as well. Great for a pregame, night out, or just kicking it with a friend. Loved the music too. Will definitely be back again!
Exposed-brick, two-level hangout with an American menu, DJ nights & a rooftop patio.
Spacious, albeit rather bare, rooms spread over two floors + roof top with DJ Set Up. Well-mixed long drinks and cocktails. The staff is very attentive and speaks English, Spanish, and German. The garlic fries are highly recommended!
The speakeasy is such a nice place to sit down with friends and enjoy some well crafted cocktails. The potatoes are unique and delicious, highly recommended. The bar tenders are super friendly!
Hopping spot for live music & Latin moves on 2 dance floors, plus Mexican & Caribbean cuisine.
They have live band on Friday and Saturday and they charge a 20 dollar entrance fee per person as of Sep 2025. I didn’t get to try their food but it smelled great. They have lots of seating inside and in the patio and the alcohol pricing is pretty decent.
Nice place to dance only bad thing is drinks are to soft 😁
English-pub setting for casual eating, trivia/karaoke nights, happy hours & regular DJ sets.
Became my ‘local’ whilst on biz in SJC. Really friendly bar staff and serving staff who chat if it’s not busy. Plenty of TVs to view sports including EPL. Recommend the Sausages and Mash with a good onion gravy.
Client invited me to lunch at the brit. Sat in the patio with kimmy. Definitely old school sports bar with good menu and excellent selection of bourbon. I had kale salad 🥗 and well done beef paddy. Waiter brought out water for kimmy. Highly recommend for you and furry friend. Kimmy gives two paws 🐾.
Burgers, ribs, Texas BBQ & beer served in a roomy tavern with Wild West decor & an outdoor patio.
I came here about 3:40pm..... very few patrons..... but let me tell you...... omg food..... the fries were good and even better with that little dish of house sauce..... the baked beans are definitely a house recipe if you ask me..... and blend very well with the cornbread..... which was also soft and moist...... and the main attraction? The spare ribs..... I can say this..... a lil bit of paradise in each fall off the bone bite..... o can say I haven't had ribs like these in a long long time.....fantastic job to the cook..... and to the owner..... don't change a thing..... enjoy!!!!!
Vibe’s got that laid-back Western BBQ feel, and the staff keeps it easygoing. But the food? Straight-up Chili’s level. Solid local hangout, just not worth crossing town for.
Me and my friends were 10 minutes into our first game of billiards, when the drunk, naked, beligerant bartender Alana ran over screaming at us because we hadn't bought a drink fast enough. Customers had to hold her back from trying to fight us because we called her out on her poor composure. It's impossible to want to buy a drink when you hear the bartender crying over the phone drunk to her boss that she wants to kick out all the patrons because she's too drunk to behave like an adult at work. Got yelled at, got our pool game ruined by her grubby fingers, and got kicked out before having the chance to buy a drink. Absolutely unacceptable, worst bar I've ever been to don't even bother when there's RR right around the corner.
Great service, and I could tell it is an amazing place. But the music volume was turned up so loud I could not hear people sitting next to me and yelling
Bar only, no food service, although Smokin Pig BBQ is next door and will deliver. Good neighborhood bar. Bartenders are nice and attentive. Friendly local crowd and good drink prices. Beers are cold and the shots are plentiful. Stephanie and Tiffany are my favorite bartenders.
This place GOES OFF on Friday nights, but not always. Good service, old school local crowd. Beer, cocktails, booze!
Dr. Funk is hands-down one of the best late-night spots in San Jose, especially if you’re hanging out with friends in San Pedro Square. The vibe here is energetic yet laid-back, making it the perfect place to unwind after a long day or kick off a fun night out. The first thing that impressed me was how quick and easy the ordering process was. The staff is friendly, efficient, and always ready to recommend drinks if you’re not sure what to try. Speaking of drinks—this is where Dr. Funk really shines! Their cocktail menu is creative and full of unique flavors, with every drink beautifully presented. Whether you’re into tropical, fruity blends or bold, strong mixes, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The outdoor seating area is a huge plus, especially on warm evenings. It’s a great spot for conversations, laughs, and people-watching in the heart of San Pedro Square. The casual atmosphere makes it perfect for both small groups and bigger hangouts.
Such a fun tiki bar!! Just went on a Friday night & the tiki vibe was so fun! The mai Tais are so legit and amazing! The ice they used is superior and just adds to the amazingness of the drink. Bar tenders were super nice and fast at drink making. The food was good, I only tried the curry fries but others ordered food and liked it but I was too busy w the mai Tais. Also a fun outdoors section w fire pits! I don't know why I couldn't find this place when I was first walking up, but I feel like it's easy to miss. It's right next to the Irish bar!
Finally a hometown bar where the people, the venue, the ambience, and everything overall makes you feel like you’re here with family. My first time there during the weekend I was recommended the bar by a friend Mike. There was food, lots of games on the TV’s, amazing drinks and some sweet folks that showed me the ropes. This is their fav bar and that of their dear late friend I was grateful to hear about. No wonder it’s their favorite, Ashley was a great bartender and host, the other Ashley was nice too! It was kind of like going to that bar from Cheers. Papas Kitchen was open, there’s tons of space with pool tables as well and different options of seating. Great place to grab a bite, watch a game, hang out with your crew, reunite with old friends, new friends, and so much more. Will come visit again soon, good times!
Sideline Grill (Bernal): I ordered 1 french fries (gotta feed that craving) $6.47 ( tax included): The Good: Fries were perfectly done crispy on the outside and velvety on the inside. Hot and plenty. Last time I had fries, this good was in Mikonos (something about seaside restaurants..OOPS.. I digress). Fries were not over/under done, stayed crispy 20 mins in. How?!? The NotSoGood: After ordering the fries, I noticed their lunch specials, $10 fries included (what?!?). At least 5 options from which to choose, all including fries. DARN!DARN!!DARN!! "I'll be Back!!" Take Away: Survey the menue/Specials first before ordering...wish I did. DARN!
Relaxed, no-frills hangout for beer & cocktails along with pool tables & sports on TV.
Best Local bar in the Burbank
The ultimate dive bar, great for playing pool and a cold beer. Mostly regulars but everyone is welcome!
This place is a scam. The girl bartender told we have to buy a bucket of drinks which was not true. When I said I can’t drink these many drinks she said it’s a rule to buy a bucket to sit. She never told we can buy 1 drink and sit near bar counter even after I said I’m by myself and can’t drink much. She refused to take back the bucket and charged $80. Rude. Don’t go here unless you want be scammed and pay higher prices for cheap drinks
They’ve hired girls who ask you to buy drinks. Also, the bartender told their drinks costs double. This place feels like a scam.
The cocktails weren't strong enough. I never mind something tasting like juice that I would give to a child otherwise, but we felt nothing and even asked for extra shots but didn't receive any changes. It was a very sweet cocktail. We got a half vegetarian and half combination Pizza that was incredible though!! It is a different vibe when they turn off the neon chandelier and turn up the music. Almost too loud to talk, but perfect for dancing!!
Chill spot on a Friday night. My friends and I sang karaoke and had a great time! Their drinks are also good!
Review of Hacienda Nightclub – 1 Star I came to Hacienda Nightclub in San Jose on 7/18 with a group of friends expecting to have a good time. Before entering, I asked the security guard if there was a cover charge, and she confirmed it was $10 per person. I proceeded to pay $40 for four of my friends at the reception area. However, when the server, Danna V, charged me, I noticed something was off. She had the screen facing away from me, and it ended up charging me $45.49 instead. I immediately questioned it and asked why I was charged an extra $5.49. She told me it was for taxes on the entrance fee. I found that odd and asked her for a receipt, but she claimed she couldn’t print one. I told her that if it were a tip, I wouldn’t mind—but it’s another thing to lie to a customer. She insisted again that it wasn’t a tip. It didn’t sit right with me, so once inside, I spoke to a bartender and asked if they charge taxes on cover charges. She wasn’t sure but offered to bring a manager. I spoke with the manager outside to avoid making a scene. He told me that no, they do not charge tax on the entrance fee. I explained what had happened, and while he was polite and apologized, he blamed it on the POS system possibly “acting up.” That would have made sense—if I wasn’t lied to by Danna V earlier. What really confirmed my suspicion was when I asked the manager for a receipt and suddenly it was possible to print one—after I was previously told it couldn’t be done. The receipt clearly showed $5.49 was charged as a tip, not tax. The manager offered drinks to make it right, but I declined. I didn’t come for freebies—I came for a good time and to not be deceived. Instead, I spent nearly 40 minutes dealing with this, completely ruining my night. I told the manager I was leaving and that I’d be contacting my bank and filing a formal complaint. I get that mistakes happen, but lying to a paying customer and then covering it up is unacceptable. Please don’t insult people’s intelligence.
first time there definitely we'll come back k
Dynamic music venue for the 21-&-over crowd featuring live bands, DJs & dancing with full bar.
If I'm not mistaken I don't believe they have any food inside? But it's an awesome little venue for shows!!!
Saw the emo night tour here and I enjoyed the show a lot! It was hot in the area close to the stage but fine everywhere else. Bathrooms are in a weird spot (near the stage) but were also fine. Getting out of the venue was a bit of a cluster - the exit and entrance are the same door.
Club & music venue presents live Latin performers & DJs in a sizable space with a dance floor.
Not by any means an impressive venue. I paid for VIP tickets and security couldn’t articulate a reason, at least in English, for why I was kicked out a couple minutes after the main artist came on stage over an hour after the event was supposed to end. The music was so loud, you could barely make out the vocals with the distortion. If they had AC, it was no where near sufficient to cool the place down with a crowd.
The sound system is not well balanced. We went to a Sergio Vargas this weekend and the music didn't sound pleasant. It was too loud and not balanced properly.
Greek cuisine & signature cocktails in a chic space with DJs spinning house & techno music at night.
Club's a total scam. They put pictures of what it looks from inside, but the actual DJ is outside in rundown open ground. They don't have alcohol variety, 4-5 options at max. They DONT GIVE A BILL and OVERCHARGE on your credit card the next day. I'd rather watch my money burn than go to a place like this.
Went to this nightclub May 31st and had a really frustrating experience. My group paid full price for our section the day before, but when we got there, security wouldn't let most of our people in. The section we reserved was already packed with people who weren't even with us. Security was rude and kept saying the area was too full, even though it's their job to make sure only the right people have wristbands. We even had to involve the owner, NICK SANTOS, who told security not to let our people in-why, when we had paid for it??? The bottle girls were trying to help us out, but they kept going back and forth with security until they just gave up because they couldn't do anything anymore. Really disappointing when we'd already paid for the section. Don’t even waste your time here. The crowd is very weird and the men like to grab/touch girls.
Wonderful ambiance, friendly staff, delicious food and wonderfully prepared cocktails. Great portion sizes, especially for the price. Came hungry: left extremely satisfied. Famous fried chicken is amazing and cooked perfectly. Lavender lemonade cocktail will take your taste buds to heaven
We had our reception at FUZE after our LGBTQIA+ Wedding at the SJ Rosegarden. We initiated contact with Jenny after posting to a forum site looking for vendors who would work with us with our very tight budget as we were planning for ourselves. We were permitted to use outside vendors for food because of my partners severe nut allergy we had to ask for special handling and in most venues it is required to use their food with no guarantee of this. This is also a woman owned/run business, which was important to us. On the night of we arrived and Jenny was doing Bar service for our guests until he bartender arrived and she continued to bring us drinks to keep our merriment going. The Patio was softly lit, Jenny helps us put out paper lanterns and grab bags for our guests, and she gave us chips to hand out for the two rounds of drinks we were providing. She coordinated with our caterer for delivery and pick up. She even placed a security guard after a patron outside our party crashed out dancing line - every wedding has a crasher right? Our guests had ample seating and appeared to relax, and we danced to the DJ she booked for us, he contacted us for our music preferences and took playlists we made and created a hell of a dance party! We left feeling lighter than air and our guests all had so much fun, they even cried best wedding ever!
Nightclub with a rotating schedule of DJs, bands & theme nights.
My family and I were having a good night and decided to hit downtown to continue the festivities. We were a group of 11 and were in the mood to listen to latin music so we decided to try this place. We decided get a section and made an agreement with the manager on 2 bottles of Don Julio for $800. Once we stepped in they were trying to charge each one of us $20 to enter. We have always gotten bottle service and seemed strange they were trying to charge us a cover (Most of the time it's included). The manager said it's okay and took us to our section. The server we were assigned was straight up rude and tried charging us $1000 for the bottles. I didn't care at this point and just gave her my card because money wasn't an issue. She demanded we give her cash because they "do not take card." Her tone was straight up rude and condescending. I told her if they had an ATM in which she shouted at me "NO." At this point my family all got upset at the way this lady was yelling at me and they wanted to leave. We started getting up and the manager saw us and talked to the lady asking what was going on. She told me to wait and said she will take my card. My cousin yelled at her calling her out on the way she speaks to PAYING CUSTOMERS and we left. Don't waste your time going to this mediocre place. There's way better places in downtown with better service and organization.
Good time didn't have any issues. Love it
Cocktails, DJ music & dancing in a stylish space with warm wood tones & a relaxed, Zen-like vibe.
This place is awful. I went with a few of my friends for a birthday trip, and when the bouncers attempted to interrogate me and my friends less than two minutes into us getting in to see if we were the people who vomited on the dance floor, I knew we should have left then and there. But, we stayed and we waited for 45 minutes for my friend to grab a drink. I was still very much sober considering IT WAS OUR FIRST BAR OF THE NIGHT, so I sat very proped up on the upper back of the (sticky) couch in the corner, looking for my friend in the VERY packed dance floor. I wasn't causing trouble, and I was up there for less than a minute. Once I spotted my friend in the crowd, I sat all the way down. I immediately had a flashlight shoved in my face. The bouncers asked me to follow them. I wasn't rude, I hadn't said anything at that point, and once I realized I was being kicked out, I stopped in the hallway and tried to talk to the bouncer and ask him what had even happened, or if I can wait for my friends or at LEAST catch my bearings. He then proceeded to YELL IN MY FACE before I could even get a word in to get a move on, and that I won't be allowed back in. I tried to ask for a refund for the drinks I DIDNT EVEN RECEIVE, and the security at the front refused to let me get a word in, just assuming I was as trashed as the rest of their customers. Absolute WASTE of $27 for two drinks I didn't get, a waste of almost an hour, and a sad excuse for a bar. I'd absolutely get it if I was climbing on furniture drunk, but there was absolutely no reason to talk to me like that when I wasn't causing a scene, and honestly could have had a conversation with me instead of dragging me out to a back hallway. Hope they also kicked out the guys reaching up the skirts of the blacked out women in the bar too, but considering the other reviews I'm seeing on this bar I SERIOUSLY doubt it.
I really enjoy San Jose’s downtown nightlife, but Temple Bar & Lounge was a huge disappointment. This was my first and last time visiting. The bouncers were rude, the staff was unfriendly, and the overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming. Honestly, you’re better off at any bar in San Pedro Square, every one of them offers a much better experience than this place.
Had such a great time at Era Lounge for their event - The Link Up! The vibe was fun but and the music was great. The DJs kept us on the dance floor all night! I especially want to shout out the bartenders and our bottle service waitress (forgot her name lol). The bartenders were fast even with a packed bar and they were super friendly and made sure our drinks were exactly how we wanted them. Our bottle service waitress was so attentive and checked in on us regularly and helped keep our area clear so we could actually dance and enjoy ourselves. It honestly made the night feel easy and enjoyable, which isn’t always the case at busy spots. Will definitely come back in the near future!
The music at Era Lounge is always on point! The DJs know how to read the room and keep the energy going. Whether you’re there to dance or just vibe with your friends, the music sets the perfect tone for a fun night out in San Jose. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a spot with great DJs and a lively atmosphere.
Stylish night club for dancing, DJ music & Asian fusion cuisine, plus tableside bottle service.
worst place to hang out, lot of regular fights observed in front of the entrance. Would avoid this place. Very loud music
Don’t go to this scam place, they make ppl wait in line in cold chilly night so they can force them to buy vip ticket $40 expensive. Short sighted business minded ppl, they don’t know how much business they are Losing by not letting ppl go in. Look at the long line outside, there is no crowd inside but they make it appear as if they are most busiest place this forcing customers to buy express vip tickets, total scam. I gave up standing in line after 35 min
So ghetto. Got bottle service for a friends birthday and never again will step foot in this establishment. They literally let anyone and anything in. Security and management tried to accommodate us because the booth next to us was being so rude, messy, and disruptive (spitting on the floor, throwing up their ice bucket & getting our section wet). Save your money & go enjoy bottle service elsewhere.
Loved the club vibe. Make sure to book the tickets first from eventbrite . Sometimes it’s free entry but still need the QR code to enter. Will visit soon.
