this place was so fun! we had a hard time locating it because it’s a speakeasy, but it was super cool. the woman at the front was so sweet and inviting. everything was very neat and clean, the drink menu was very unique which was really nice. we loved our drinks and felt they were super high quality and tasted great. i would recommend this place over the other bars we went to in aspen!

What a beautiful spot tucked away in the old newspaper shop in Aspen ! Sophi & Octavian are so creative & intentional with their cocktails. The fresh sushi experience was out of this world & the whole staff is so kind & welcoming. The ambiance is moody & vibes. I will be back !

Very much changed since my last visit, several years ago. Larger, more convenient as just as great vibes. The staff is incredible. How they maintain such upful attitudes is commendable. Intimate and raucous. Totally fun.

This is such a cute venue! We came to see Michael Franti and Spearhead and it was an amazing show! The venue only holds 450 people so it's a super intimate place and of course, Michael Franti is an amazing artist who engages the audience by encouraging us to talk to a stranger, do-si-do with others, and sings in the crowd!

Nice little pizza joint right in the heart of downtown. I had the Ajax Pilsner which was fantastic! The wings were also very good. Service was very quick and friendly, and the place had a great atmosphere. Oddly, they serve the beer in plastic solo cups, which I wasn't a huge fan of, but the beer was still top quality so I can't complain! Pro Tip: There's a very small fridge in the middle of the dining area that's very easy to miss with six packs if you want beer to go.

We had the Best wings here. spicy enough without it being overwhelming and crispy. Cheese Pizza was also just right. Yes the beer is on point. They were out of the pilsner but expected if its good beer. Got packed during happy hour but then cleared out.

Awesome Old Fashioned. Salads were great but I should have asked what was included in the “grilled vegetables”. LOTS of mushrooms and I’m not a fan. The Burrata was epic!

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this place. Everyone was waiting in the freezing cold for so long, only to see people blatantly cutting the line. What’s worse, I witnessed the security guard letting people in who appeared to give him money. As someone from NYC, I know how things usually work, but this was completely unacceptable. The security guard was also extremely rude, aggressively trying to push people off the sidewalk. which, as far as I know, is public property. It’s one thing to manage a crowd, but the behavior I saw was unprofessional and borderline disrespectful. Next time, if I come back, it’ll be to pursue legal action for violations of my rights. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and the management needs to take accountability.

Came for a rugby tournament event so can't say much about food as there were only drinks. However the bartenders were great at keeping up with a packed bar and still being friendly. Had a good band and overall we had a good time that night.

Be super careful to eat here. - We saw a mouse running inside the dining area. When we told the server, his response was: “Oh yeah? It’s close to winter.” - Service was careless. They messed up our order. - The food quality itself was ok A restaurant that dismisses a mouse like that is unsafe and unprofessional. Be careful!

J-Bar is such a gem in Aspen! The moment you walk in, you feel the historic charm mixed with a vibrant, welcoming energy. The drinks were creative and perfectly balanced, and the menu had a great mix of options. Everything we tried was excellent. Great service, owners teen son helps out and seems like a solid young man, and the Philly was legitimately one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s not good “for Aspen” it’s just amazing overall. The fries were really good too. I want to try other menu items but the Philly is so good (I add jalapeños) it’s hard not to get it.

We loved this place. Its small but quaint. Its a bar, so expect just that. Friendly people and they apparently allow pets inside. Normally that would have turned me away but the dog was friendly and did not bother people. Everything we has was great and so was the service.

My boy Otto was very helpful in creating a custom cocktail for me. I was torn between a margarita and a whiskey sour…he is truly incredible, because he somehow blended both together…using whiskey as the base and mixing a sweet and sour mix with a hint of basil to create an unbelievable beverage. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Give Otto a raise! He is awesome.

Except for appetizers, the food wasn’t great at all. Lacking basic salt as well in sandwiches (chicken sando) and burgers (buck burger). The hygienic conditions were questionable, see the water jug with hair on it and glass with water stains in the photos. The service was not something commendable either but understandable as it was packed. Edit: I’m sure “many” would like the food as you said; however, this review reflects my experience. All 5 members of our group felt that “bland” taste and definitely lacking appropriate salt in all of our 5 burgers, chicken and beef.

I didn't realize this was a sports bar. 😬 I came for the food, but what i didn't come for was the guy sitting at the table next to me swearing, spilling his beer & burping throughout my meal. The waiters were really nice, but only checked on me twice. I had to go to the bar to pay my check & the bartender seemed a little annoyed. The food was good, but I wouldn't come back again.

Worst social club ever. My family will be cancelling our membership. Went into the caribou club as an invited guest under my family’s account and the owner Billy was incredibly disrespectful and rude after not being able to find my name on the guest list. I called the owner of the account so we could try and fix it but Billy refused to assist us. Even before that his attitude was abhorrent. I’ve been in clubs all over the world Milan, capri, Miami, Vegas, Turks and Caicos, and many more. I have never experienced the level of disrespect I did here. The place also looks like it hasn’t been updated in 20 years. For a place that you have to pay for the privilege to even attend I would expect better service, more patience, and maybe an interior update in the last 15-20 years. There are much better clubs in the area, my advice is your better off anywhere else. We had tons of fun tonight elsewhere and I’m sure anyone else who listens to this review will as well.

When it comes to top notch quality at a nightlife venue, you won’t find anything much better than what I noticed at Gala in Aspen. From the moment you step into Gala, you're not just entering a nightclub, you're immersing yourself in an unparalleled auditory experience. The sound quality at Gala is nothing short of phenomenal. You can easily carry on a conversation with the people around you while still feeling and hearing the music at an elevated volume. Another area that truly sets Gala apart is the impeccable attention to detail and the friendliness of their staff. Every interaction that I noticed even from the entrance into the club, is met with a level of professionalism and genuine care that adds a personal touch to the night. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure you have an elevated experience. Lastly my favorite part about Gala is their top tier lighting/visual production and the musical talent that they bring in. Looking at their DJ line ups, Week in and week out, they are constantly bringing in the best National and local acts. Whether you're an audiophile, a nightlife aficionado, or simply in search of a night out of dancing, Gala promises an experience that's as sonically impressive as it is hospitably welcoming. Bravo to Gala for setting the bar incredibly high, not just in Aspen, but in the world of nightlife and entertainment.

Gala is by far the most superior venue in all of Aspen. The food, service and atmosphere are all top notch. If you want to have the most fun and be around the best looking people, it is a must visit. Starting with their incredible general manager Kyle Blank, he greets you with the warmest hello with those dashing looks. All the way to the bottle girls who are so sweet. Want a good bite? head upstairs to Madame Ushi which has incredible cocktails and food. If you're in Aspen, go to Gala or go home.

First time there. Drinks were great, Bartender was amazing. Music was phenomenal and overall I love the decor and people there. We went with my brother whom I hadn’t seen in 5 years and it was our best night out. Best Bar in Aspen!

Went for work outing and was personally promised $1,000 off final group bill from owner Andrew Sandler after discussing with him grievances with the service. The final charge went thru with the initial cost and the discounted charge was voided. Sterling was not available by phone after multiple attempts. Not a trustworthy establishment, would not recommend trusting with your credit card. Certainly will not be back

Perfect breakfast with perfect views. You’re able to truly enjoy every bite in an unrushed setting. Great options on the menu. Ate here twice for breakfast and each day the flavors were fantastic. Beautiful views of Aspen mountain

This place is incredible! Absolutely beautiful and in a gorgeous location at the base of the mountain. The food is delicious with both gluten-free and vegan options already on the menu. I’ve eaten dinner here twice already in my 4 days in Aspen. The chef, Alexis, is really talented. He understands how to balance intense and beautiful and diverse flavors across hearty bison chili, Korean fried cauliflower, and Baja miso cod tacos. The prices seem almost unfair in how affordable this restaurant is for the quality you’re getting. Also come take photos here for sure. It’s super cute and lends itself well to photo ops. Alsooooo the service is so top notch. Incredibly attentive servers who seem to go above and beyond. Don’t miss this experience while you’re visiting Aspen.

I have no idea why people come here. The stairway down to the bar looks like you’re heading to a dingy subway station. The (ladies) bathroom had so many problems: it smelled like urine, they hung toilet paper on the coat hook instead of in the toilet paper dispenser, and then there was nothing to dry your hands with after washing your hands. The pink lights are fun, that’s about it. Maybe this was a solid place once before but it’s a ways away from anything I will return to.
