Lively hangout for sports fans with pub grub & drink specials, plus a pool table & arcade games.
One of my favorite places for boneless wings 🪽 Absolutely delicious every time , never disappointed with food or service. You’re always greater with a friendly smile. Self serve seating. This place is a classic and I understand wanting to keep the atmosphere the same, but a little renovation will help make this a 10/10 all day. BEST BONELESS WINGS IN THE TAMPA BAY AREA 💯🤤😋
Sat down at the bar @ 11:55 AM. Ordered drinks and an app. Had to wait as bartender was busy but placed our order at approx 12:05 pm. App arrived and was tasty and hot at about 12:15 PM. Food (salad and sandwich) was taking a really long time to come so at 12:45 pm when the bartender showed up food in hand I stated I was sorry but we needed to get it to go as it took a while to come out and I have a 1 pm meeting. She immediately snapped well we have a lot of tables and we are having a busy lunch. I looked around and the place wasn’t even half full. She took the food back and brought it to us but the entire time looking pissed off as she cashed us out. I would not be writing this review as I know sometimes kitchens can get backed up and when going to lunch when there is a tight window can lead to this but the attitude from the bartender has me here. I’m not sure if she is having a bad day or what the deal is and I’m sure the place won’t miss a couple of guys on a lunch break but we will not be going back. For the record there are plenty of places in the area where you can sit down order and have lunch in under an hour that are just as busy if not more busy. On a positive note the soup and salad I had were tasty. A bit pricey but still good. Service attitude and kitchen being slow were the issue.
We ordered wings there for our party. Staff was friendly and attentive. It wasn't a huge order but they still made us feel like we were important. Food was prepared in a timely fashion and was a big hit at our party. I'm giving them a 3 for atmosphere only because I didn't eat there so I didn't want to post an opinion.
This is by fat one of my favorite places to eat. I used to go to the Palm Harbor one and Trinity one before they closed and while I was always devastated to find out about the closing of those locations but this one meets the same expectations. I have gone here for every birthday since I can remember, prom, homecoming and one of the waitresses has been there for each event. She is by far one of the best things about Varsity Club as are all the waiters/waitresses. The pricing is affordable and doesn’t slack on cleanliness, or service. The food is delicious and the screens are all adequately placed so if you want to watch you can, but you don’t have to. The gaming room is always a catch for kids and even though dining tables there are not open for service the games are completely open for them to play. I go here twice a month and sometimes as much as once a week. I love varsity club.
A sports bar. Lots of screens, bar games in the back, long bar, many high tables, tables for and filled with families. Draft beer selection focuses on domestics but includes a few crafts. Food is solid bar food centering on burgers and deep fried veggies. Staff is fun and fast even when hosting a crowded game. I wish they would offer their bottle caps made from fresh jalapenos.
