Buzzing, dimly lit arcade with a rooftop deck serving Cuban street food, plus slushies, wine & beer.
We loved Arcade Monster ! Brought our 18 , 14 and 12 year old here and everyone had a blast. We stayed for 3 hours and never got bored. Tons of games , rooftop pool tables , giant jenga and a ton of great art work everywhere you look !
Last night I went to this arcade and video game place, and it was amazing. It has an incredible atmosphere, a great variety of games, and everything is very well maintained. I definitely want to come back and highly recommend it.
Great place. The ambiance is excellent. As you enter you see this beautiful high ceiling with ambient lighting. Really gives the place a cozy feel. The wine collection is second to none. They have done a good job by keeping in mind that a party of multiple people might have individuals that are not into wine, and there you go….you have a nice array of beers on the tap. The first set of taps are the wines!! They have some really good cheese and meat plates. I really loved the chorizo cuts. Ask for the olive tapenade. Great place overall. You can park at the city hall and take that short walk. There is street parking. There are some private lots but they tend to be overpriced.
Love stopping by for a great glass of wine. Located right in the center of downtown. Ever changing selection of different types of wine and a great atmosphere. The owner is extremely nice and quite knowledgeable regarding their selections. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves to try different types of wine or beer.
Brady’s truly lives up to the idea of a neighborhood bar—warm, welcoming, and always a good time. What makes it stand out most is the incredible staff. Alison, Jacob, Marty, Kayla, Ross, Cassandra, and Bryce each bring their own personality and energy, but all share the same commitment to making every guest feel like a regular. Whether they’re serving up perfectly poured drinks, sharing a laugh, or remembering your favorite order, they go above and beyond to create a genuine community vibe. It’s rare to find a spot where the whole team shines, but Brady’s nails it every time. If you’re looking for great service, friendly faces, and a bar that feels like home, this is the place.
The drinks, delicious! The ambiance, exquisite!! The bartenders, gorgeous!!! Brady's is THE place to be. Wound up there during a short trip and fell in love with it! The staff is friendly and made me feel at home. Special shout to to Alison for making me feel welcome and mixing up some of the best drinks I've had. 10 out of 10, 2 two thumbs way up, get that tire guy to give them a star. Don't sleep on this place.
Wonderful hidden gem! Speakeasy in back of liquor store next- never knew it was here ! Had a pear martini and pineapple paper plane- amazing ! James made amazing drinks!
Would never have guessed that the best Mai Tai I’ve ever had would be served in the back of a liquor store in a retro four-years-old, not-quite-speakeasy in Sarasota, Florida. I’ve had Mai Tais in Hawaii, San Francisco, Huntington Beach, Los Angeles, Caribbean islands, cruise shops and abroad… The fresh bruised mint aroma piqued my senses follwed by a perfectly balanced Goldilocks Mai Tai - all the rum and citrus, and a hint of syrup. Mmmmmm…. And dont get me started on the Monkey Business with banana liquor whipped cream! James the bartender is an artist!
As someone who rarely gives five-star reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by The Mable, a charming dive bar just 15 minutes from home. The walls are adorned with eclectic art, vintage furniture, and a faux fireplace, creating a cozy atmosphere. They host engaging events like music trivia nights, adding to the fun. The lemon drop cocktails were expertly balanced, and the buffalo-style wings, Caesar salad, and fries exceeded expectations. While you pick up your food at a service window, the lively crowd and outstanding fare make it worthwhile. Highly recommended for those seeking quality without pretense.
My new “Best Wings” place. I thought I had eaten about everywhere in the Sarasota area. This just took my top spot for best wings, god damn are they good. Crispy, almost burnt, sauces on the side, great Blue Cheese. Pretzel and Cheese was very good also. If you expect white table cloths and table side service, go somewhere else and don’t ruin it for the rest of us. You order your own drink and food at the bar, they yell your name when done, you pick it up, you box up leftovers, and you clean up. That’s why it’s only $80 for 4 of us to eat and have drinks. Great value. PS-place looks a little Sketch on the outside, but don’t let that fool you, great people and food inside.
Sports-bar chain known for its waitresses, serving American comfort food in lodgelike surroundings.
This bar has everything you need for a good night out. The waitresses, besides being lovely, are incredibly friendly and always serve you with a smile. The house beers are simply amazing—fresh, well-poured, and so tasty you’ll want another round. The food is just as good, with delicious, well-prepared dishes that pair perfectly with the drinks. The atmosphere is relaxed yet lively, making it the perfect spot to enjoy with friends or a date. Every visit is a guarantee of good times, great food, and excellent service. Highly recommended!
Disappointed by the Service – Great Tacos, But That’s About It I stopped by Twin Peaks around 10pm for a late-night bite, hoping for the usual reliable bar food and drinks. Unfortunately, the experience fell flat almost immediately. Despite three bartenders being behind the bar, it took 5 to 8 minutes just to be acknowledged. When one finally took our drink order, she handed us menus and then disappeared for long stretches — no follow-up, no check-ins. My vodka soda tasted off, and when I finally managed to flag her down (another 10-minute wait), she remade it — but the pour was so heavy it was undrinkable. No offer to fix it further or swap it out. The only highlight? The brisket tacos — flavorful and well-prepared. Everything else we ordered was greasy and bland. Overall, the service was inattentive and disinterested, which unfortunately overshadowed what could have been a casual, enjoyable meal. Twin Peaks usually delivers a better experience, but this visit left a lot to be desired.
A classic Florida sports bar offering a solid selection of bar/pub food, tasty lunch specials, and fair prices compared to nearby bars, pubs, and beachside restaurants. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area. Service is slow, but for what it's worth, in Canada, you’d likely pay double the price for half the size and flavour.
First walk in the door sit down. 2 bar staff continued to walk past me and not ask me anything. I waited patient for atleast 5-7 minutes. They continued to walk past me as If I hadn't just sat down. As if I wasn't visible. I wondered if I am hard to miss? I am 6'5 a fairly large man.......cant be that. Thankfully a pretty curly haired blonde bartender named Lexi came to greet me. I arrived very hungry so Im glad someone was willing to come offer service. Big shout out to Lexi🙏🏻❤️ to the other two bar keeps who continued to ignore me. Learn a lesson in hospitality. I dont have over 30,000 review reads from just waisting my words or my breathe here. 👍🏼
What a fabulous and historic place! Opened in 1954! I stumbled on it looking for a tiki bar during happy hour. This is the place to go for it! So many amazing drinks to chose from! Paul was my friendly bartender and great to talk with. Highly recommend to stop in and experience a "real tiki bar" like no other!
Close to the Sarasota airport on what's known as the North Trail, the Bahi Hut is a fantastic place for drinks and socializing. Great selection of cocktails and two types of Calusa beer (a local favorite) on draft. Attentive, cheerful service. Fun decorations. A great vibe and a place with a long history, having been in business since 1954
This casual, mid-size showroom features stand-up comedians & serves bar bites & drinks.
A really great night out at McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre. My wife, grown up son and I truly appreciated the humour from some great stand-up comedians. Scott Novotny, Nathan Wallace and the hilarious Jay Stevens take a bow! The venue is excellent, well managed and hospitable. The servers are very efficient and the beverages well priced. We shall be back.
Everything about our evening there was just perfect. A comfortable intimate setting Of course the comics were wonderful- all three of them. My face still hurts from laughing today. The deserts are off the charts good... better than any restaurant I've been to in the area and the wait staff are lovely and kind.
High-end sports-bar chain with a huge menu of New American fare & an extensive list of draft beers.
Cool sports bar atmosphere. Great food and drinks. Huge selection of beers and great variety of drinks. The happy hour 🍻 is amazing, Mon - Fri only. Certain appetizers are 50 % off, including pizza. Reduced prices for drinks. So come early and enjoy 😊
I have came to this location two different times and I will say both times were exceptionally great!! The atmosphere is very cozy. The food is always great, Taste fresh, and just plain out delicious! The service is amazing not once did I ever have to ask for a refill they automatically would just bring it out, which to me is a 10 in my book! Both times I went were extremely busy, but even though they were my wait time was no more than 10 minutes! Absolutely love this place!
Amazing place to get your country on! This building has 3 different fun rooms to explore. Of course there's the bar and dance floor, but they also have pool, darts, and mini golf! We went when they were teaching swing dancing on Sunday and everyone was kinda and made sure we weren't being ignored.
Sydney is a kind and friendly presence at the bar and the New Brunswick 9-foot pool tables at Bandit Billiards Club are among the best I’ve ever played on anywhere. They haven’t opened the kitchen yet. This is a place you root for to succeed cause it’s nice!🎱🍷
Disappointing service and management. Food was excellent, but our waitress was clearly overworked and unable to keep up with the tables she had. Management just stood around and joked with other employees. Not once did they approach the table to see how our dinner was or even to offer the wine club. The drinks and food were really good, but we can get a meal just as good with much better service elsewhere. Also, like others had mentioned, we were seated at a 4-top table next to noisy parties, when we made a reservation for 2. We are not planning on returning.
We got our Baby shower catered and the food was PERFECT!! Beautiful done. It was a pick up and everything was packaged neatly and fresh and hot! thank you Gina the manager and her team at the Sarasota Cooper’s hawk! Well done! I highly recommend!!
We had an absolutely phenomenal lunch at the lounge last week. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, smiles that set the tone for what turned into a delightful afternoon. We ordered the burgers and they were cooked to absolute perfection. Probably the best burgers in Sarasota and the price point can’t be beat!!!! Only $12 for prime 😱 Juicy and so flavorful the buns were fluffy and soft. The atmosphere was cozy and polished perfect for our lingering conversations over lunch. Our service was attentive without ever feeling rushed. If you’re looking for a lunch spot that delivers on quality, comfort and old-school charm with modern twist look no further than this place… we can’t wait to come back for more.
I had the pleasure of discovering this restaurant while in town from Chicago for business, and I’m so glad I did! As I was looking at the menu, the owner, Michelle, kindly approached me to see if I had any questions, which made me feel immediately welcome. I decided to step inside and try the special of the day. Faith, my server, was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to accommodate all my requests. The Caesar salad and filet I had were among the best I’ve ever tasted—truly exceptional. If you’re just looking for typical hotel food, stay there. But if you want an outstanding meal paired with warm, attentive service, you must come to Element. I would gladly return to this town just to dine here again. Thank you for such a memorable experience!
Best bar venue ever with all the activities you can do here!!! Katie is awesome!
Stephen: The Maestro of Mixology – A Tapestry of Tales from the Golden Age of Hospitality Oh, where to even begin with Stephen? Not just any Stephen, mind you – the Stephen, the one whose name alone could summon a smile to the lips of the most jaded night owl, the bartender whose very presence turned a dimly lit corner bar into a cathedral of camaraderie and craft. In an era where hospitality often feels like a conveyor belt of scripted smiles and overpriced indifference, Stephen was a living, breathing symphony – a man who poured not just drinks, but dreams, stories, and a dash of magic into every glass. This isn't a review; it's a requiem for the golden hours he gifted us, a sprawling epic woven from the threads of countless evenings where time bent to his rhythm, and the world outside faded into irrelevance. Buckle up, dear reader, because to capture Stephen's greatness is to embark on a journey as vast as the ocean of spirits he commanded, as endless as the conversations he ignited.
Great place to hang out and have a few beers and cocktails. It's got an outdoor patio which is pet friendly. The inside was crowded with live music and a pool tournament and the locals were happy to share their empty seats. It poured when we went outside but the patio is covered and we didn't feel a drop. They were having fuse issues but it was bright enough with the street lighting. Blake inside and Jessica 3 outside were both friendly and attentive.
Great atmosphere and the food that we tasted was good! We didn’t plan on coming here but were just looking to pass some time before he went to dinner with some people later. It looks deceptively small from the parking lot but once you get inside the inside bar area with the pool tables is a decent size but the outside bar area is where we decided to sit. The pickles were fried freshly in what seems to be a tempura batter so the spears were still crisp and tangy. The bowl of chili was full of a rich tomato flavor with just a slight hint of a spicy bite at the end but they do have hot sauce to add. All the regulars looked to be having a good time and the music wasn’t too loud so there was a very nice relaxing vibe here. We would definitely recommend Salty Jim’s and would come back the next time we drive down from Orlando!
We came here in a Thursday night. The place was practically empty. The waitress was working the bar and the tables. She was pleasant. The food was okay to good. The Cuban was just okay. The fries were better than the sandwich. They have a wing flight here which allows you to sample multiple wing flavors. The restaurant is up stairs. There is paid public parking nearby.
The BEST everything! Will be returning anytime we come to town. Best Chicken Sandwich Of my life. Hands down. Shown by the empty plate because we ate it so fast! The best wings, juicy and delicious —- had honey garlic and buffalo for my sauce. He had the Smokehouse burger and said the meat was perfect. And, the tots were incredible. I didn’t know I could love tater tots this much. The breading plus the spices were just perfection. Amazing!
Euro-inspired lounge with a speakeasy vibe crafting unique cocktails to go with casual bar bites.
The place has a nice vibe, but go earlier in the night. It's a little small and when the groups of 8+ started showing up it got a little crowded (but still bearable). The drinks were delicious (get the sour patch kids one) and the key lime blueberry parfait was so yummy!
I loved the creativity and friendly staff. The pistachio creme brulee was okay (had a weird texture) and the apple jack cereal drink was nostalgic (they were out of Fruit Loops and Cocoa Crispies). Would recommend for a unique experience. It was pricey for what was offered and the quality. I'd give it another shot if I were in town again--maybe it was an off night. I love the concept, the vibe, and the decor--always a fan of places that are not franchises or cookie cutter.
By far the best bar in town. Attentive Staff, a welcoming environment. Top notch bar tenders with outstanding customer service. Never disappointed. Wednesday Night Trivia is a must, great time. Sheryl and Michael make Wednesday an already fun night, with Trivia, better with their fun and cordial ways. Thanks Linksters for giving the community a fantastic local watering hole.
I think the atmosphere and staff are incredibly amazing! If you're looking for a place to go and relax while watching sport and socializing, this is the place for you! The owners and their team are the best!
Another outstanding restaurant my wife and I wish we had tried sooner. Their happy hour specials from 4pm - 6pm are great. From the beer prices to the food there is nothing to not like about Tamiami Tap. We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately by the bar staff. After ordering our drinks we looked over the menu and decided to order from the Happy Hour options. My wife chose the chicken tenders with fries, while I went with the sliders. I had to order a side of fries since the sliders did not come with. However, the price of the sliders and fries was still less than the burger and fries that are on the regular menu. My wife's chicken was seasoned very well, and was battered just right. The sliders had an amazing flavor with a soft bun. That side of fries? It could easily have been shared by two, maybe three people, it was so large. Their seasoning was also spot on. The sliders were so good I ordered a second offering of them, much to the dismay of my diet. The atmosphere offered a laid back, relaxing feel and, being a Saturday early evening, we were able to enjoy the wonderful live music. It may have taken us quite a while to finally try Tamiami Tap but rest assured it will not be long until we go again.
Love this place! Good cocktails, good menu (awesome sliders) friendly staff and dog friendly! They even have a doggo menu! We popped in during happy hour, it is totally worth a trip downtown. Live music too...
Popular, rustic-chic venue for craft cocktails, sandwiches & new American entrees.
We had dinner here tonight. It was excellent. Antonio was our server, he was great. The food was outstanding. I had the sweet potato gnocchi and my hubby had the shrimp and grits. It was delicious. I highly recommend checking it out. Great atmosphere too!
Great food and impeccable service at the heart of downtown Sarasota. The beet burrata salad and the pork iberico are my personal highlights. Prices are in line with other fine dining options in the area. Very good overall experience and we want to go back to try the burgers.
This is part of Cadillac Jacks Honkey Tonk and Saloon. Upon entry you walk down the entrance to a room with a bar, seating, and a dance floor for line dancing. To the left is a large billiard room. Both rooms have restrooms at the back. Turn right and find the Forbidden Lounge at the end of the bar. The Forbidden Lounge is completely different from the country music in front. The decor is phenomenal. To your left there's a bar. There are booths decorated with ivy on the walls and floral hanging vines above you. Then at the back of the room there's this awesome little room with two completely wonderfully comfortable large couches against opposite walls and a chair at the head of the coffee table that is in between the couches. It is the most relaxing room in the whole awesome place! Take a few minutes to read the message on the wall near the bathrooms that are in back of the line dancing floor. You will get some chuckles. The whole place is amazing and the service is on point! Outside food is allowed as there is no kitchen or food sold. Just drinks.
Nice speakeasy in the Siesta Key area I highly recommend this spot to enjoy with friends or family. Beautiful little bar. Great service and flavorful drinks.
Modern Mediterranean specialties cooked on a wood-fired grill in a casual restaurant & bar.
This place was such a great find! Really great refreshing food and nice vibes. Highly recommend. I came here with some life long high school best friends - we enjoyed the chicken pita sandwich, and friend had some non meat option. Apps we got fried zucchini, delicious!
We ate at 1592 on Mother’s Day. There were a lot of people there but it was not overly crowded. My daughter and I had the Avgolemono soup to start which was quite good. I had the pulled lamb open face pita and it was delicious lamb cooked to perfection. I ate half the sandwich there and saved the other half for the following day. My husband had the grilled chicken open faced pita which he said was delicious as well. Our daughter had the grilled chicken breast dinner with no dairy as she is allergic. The chicken was very good but the rapini was very stringy, hard to cut and impossible to chew. Both her and I tried it. If she had that dinner again she would ask for it without the rapini. Service was on the slow side which you expect on Mother’s Day. For the most part the food was very good and it was a fun place to dine.
This is the second time we visited. The restaurant is part of The Modern hotel. It is very difficult to park there but the hotel has valet parking and your ticket will be validated by your server. The restaurant has a large round bar in the middle of the room with tables around it and a small additional dining area. The menu is modern American and changes regularly. The food quality and service are outstanding. The roasted Brussel sprouts are always superb. The meatloaf and grouper dish were also outstanding. The last one is named The Tourist Trap. Not an inviting name, but I would not mind being trapped in such a place for a long time. It is not a cheap place but the food quality and service matches any of the luxury restaurants in the downtown area.
Oh. My. God. That may have been the worst meal of my entire life. Don’t let the 4.5-star review or the perfectly filtered OpenTable photos fool you. Let’s start from the top. The drinks? Meh. Barely passable. We ordered the crab cakes and Brussels sprouts to start, and I’m pretty sure I now have internal regrets and possibly a parasite internship program setting up shop in my colon. The Brussels? Let’s just say they tasted like someone hated them before they hit the plate. At this point, hope was fading fast… then came the entrees. I ordered the fried chicken. My friend got the NY strip. All I can say is: NO. Just… no. Possibly the most offensive meal I’ve ever had the displeasure of paying for. Honestly, the only redeeming things in that building were our sweet server, Juliana, and the vending machine near the bathroom. The bill? Over $200 with tip. And frankly, I feel like they should have paid me to eat that disaster. I left everything on my plate and then accidentally left the rest in the bathroom stall. Someone please retrieve it before it mutates into a new pandemic. Save yourself. Stay away. Eat literally anywhere else.
This restaurant was super cool to visit! The whole restaurant is themed after a vintage garage/mechanic shop - the atmosphere is super fun. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cocktails were okay, not very strong, but the taste was good. The burgers, however, stole the show. Easily one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Juicy, delicious, and cooked at a perfect medium rare. Overall, a delicious meal with okay cocktails and a fun atmosphere. I would recommend this in a heartbeat!
Such a great restaurant! The burger surpassed my expectations. It was delicious. Our service was wonderful as well. The atmosphere is great. We had a lovely experience sitting outside, but inside has wonderful dining as well. The bathrooms are even super cool! There is so much detail to this entire place. Very family friendly as well.
Local dive bar. Could be a really fun spot but people are allowed to smoke inside the bar. I wish they would ban it to an outdoor area or put in a modern filtration system. Other than that it's a cool place.
I visited this bar with my coworkers after a long overnight shift. The bar was already open by the time we had gotten there at 7:30am. I loved the atmosphere! It's a laid back, dive bar atmosphere , which is right up my alley. The bartender was friendly and fast to greet us. The drinks were strong, but, priced cheaply. I will be back. Be forewarned...there is smoking in the bar.
Guinness, Irish cider & American craft beers in a cozy bar with music & a red telephone booth.
Wonderful local pub. Great beer selection, friendly staff and patrons. Small, but rarely over-crowded. Outdoor seating in the back. Good music always on the jukebox (if soccer isn't on the TV). No food on offer, but pizza nearby and often either a food truck or the owner may be grilling out something for free! Cash only. Best simple place for a pint in town.
A bar that makes you feel like you’re at home and among friends. You will be treated well and you will be asked if you know that ‘the bar is cash only?’ If you’re looking for the best little bar in Sarasota. Look no further. Also, worth knowing, they only accept cash, but they do have an ATM.
20 beer taps including many local brews plus elevated bar fare in a comfy space with sports on TVs.
Always good service. Friendly staff! Lots of TVs, definitely good to watch a sports game. Big bar. The wings, burgers and tacos are great as well as the lemon pepper fries. I’m sure the other food is just as good.
Food is typical bar food but really good. I got the chicken tenders(it was the Thursday special) and a mixed drink which came to $20 plus tip during happy hour. The tenders were large and well worth the price without the included side. I got the Mexican street corn. Both the tenders and the corn were fantastic. I was here for a work conference looking for a good place with reasonable prices a d good food and Brewster's deliver. Will definitely be back next year when we have our next conference and if I'm here before then, I will definitely be stopping by.
This is my tipsy honest opinion, this place is poppin for a Wednesday. It’s 6:30 and everyone is here. They have pool and darts complementary water bottles ;). This is a wine based bar though, they have good beers and seltzers so I would stick to that. Is also more of a homey family vibe. Seems like everyone here knows eachother.
A feel good neighborhood sports bar with tol notch, attentive staff. Dog friendly, btw.
Excellent!! Tried Bar Hanna (Kojo ) and I can’t wait to go again. Great place!! the atmosphere in the bar is inviting and comfortable, decoration is fun and tropical still elegant and the service was great, staff was so friendly and gave excellent recommendations. The cocktails were excellent, so fresh, smooth and tasty and the sushi rolls!!! I can’t say enough, delicious!!so fresh, buttery, and expertly prepared!! This is a place to try definitely, perfect for a fun occasion, happy hour or to just indulge yourself with something really special! 5 stars ⭐️
You really cannot beat Kojo and Bar Hana when it comes to quality restaurant in SRQ. Nobu quality sushi, enchanting atmosphere, beautiful cocktails. One of the few places in SRQ where the dessert is worth the calories. The only recommendation would be that some of the cocktails could be a touch stronger. We still keep returning and returning…
Casual pub with a broad menu, plus multiple TVs for sports fans & a daily happy hour.
While on vacation, we decided to check out Gecko’s Grill & Pub for a late dinner. The restaurant was extremely clean. We decided to sit outside, which turned out to be a great decision! They have plenty of fans that circulated the air, so it was comfortable, even though the air temperature was in the high 80s. The food menu is quite extensive. It was hard to make a decision! The food was fabulous! We will definitely visit again in the future!
I had lunch there today with my daughter and grand baby. Darren was our server. Loved him. Everything was perfect. The staff was extra attentive and just all together nice. My grand daughter tried a first today. She loved the black beans and rice. She's 10 months old today. The beans are my favorite side dish EVER.
I really like their cocktails, I usually go in the evening on weekends, but today I tried their happy hour, and we tried the tacos and I liked them, there are always a lot of people and the atmosphere is nice, the waiters are always very kind
I’d give six stars if I could. I’ve been coming here for years - Steven (Stephen?) and his team constantly deliver the best service at any hour they’re open. Food - great. Service - great. Happy employees and Im a happy customer. Fernando, kills customer service (with kindness) and takes his time to get to know his regulars. 10/10
Breezy outpost offers casual food & drinks in an open-air, tropical-themed joint on the beach.
While at Bayfront Park in Sarasota, we stopped at O'Leary's Tiki Bar! Tony had a Budweiser and I had a little Dr Pepper We sat by the waters edge under a Tiki canopy watching the boats in the Bay listening to some music! Very nice evening! The atmosphere is perfect and it was very busy! The bartender was friendly! Definitely recommend and will go back!
Great spot right in front of the marina with beautiful views. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is lively, and there’s often live music. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the vibes.
Only stopped in to get a quick bite between movies…. The food was great but the service was lackluster and the place was full of a bunch of drunks at noon on a Sunday….the people were so loud and annoying…. I sat for almost 20 minutes before anyone came to me to take my order…. They were friendly after that but there was no reason for the 20 minute initial wait.
I’ve been coming to Raffurty’s for about 2 years now, and it’s consistently one of my favorite spots. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the food and drinks never disappoint. I have to give a special shout-out to Tamara — she is hands down my favorite bartender. Everyone here is great, but Tamara truly stands out. Her service is above and beyond every single time. She’s quick, attentive, and always brings great energy. I honestly try to plan my visits around when she’s working because no one does it better. Highly recommend this place — especially if Tamara’s behind the bar! 5 stars for sure!
Farm-to-fork dishes & a robust wine list are offered at this hip restaurant with an industrial feel.
The skirt steak we ordered (shown in the photo) was absolutely outstanding. It was cooked to perfection, exactly as we requested — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The side dishes were also very well prepared and complemented the main dish perfectly. What really stood out, apart from the quality of the food, was the service. Our waitress was extremely attentive throughout the entire evening, always checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. On top of that, the manager personally came by to ask if everything was to our liking, which added a very professional and welcoming touch to the whole experience. The rest of the food we tried was also excellent, and the restaurant itself has a perfect location right in the city center. You can easily walk there from many nearby hotels, and if you prefer to drive, there is plenty of parking available, which makes it very convenient. Overall, a fantastic dining experience — great food, wonderful service, and a location that couldn’t be better. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a place where both the quality of the dishes and the hospitality truly stand out.
Boca Restaurant, Sarasota: An Unforgettable Dining Experience! My recent dinner at Boca Restaurant in Sarasota was truly exceptional, largely thanks to our incredible server, Roberto, and the delicious food. From the moment we sat down, Roberto made the entire dining experience great. He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and had a wonderful, engaging personality. He offered excellent recommendations, checked on us at just the right moments, and truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable evening. His professionalism and warmth elevated the meal from good to outstanding. As for the food, it was very good! Each dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You could tell the ingredients were high-quality, and the kitchen clearly takes pride in its preparation. From appetizers to the main course, everything was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Boca Restaurant, combined with Roberto's excellent service, created a truly enjoyable and satisfying dining experience. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for great food and top-notch service in Sarasota. We'll definitely be back!
Best rooftop venue in Sarasota. The cocktails are so good, especially those made with the locally owned tequila brand. Great food, awesome live music, and wonderful service. Definitely the place to go for a fun night out!
I can't comment on the food as I never ate here. Drinks are good, service professional and quick. Atmosphere and ambience club like and dj could be hit or miss. Crowd here is mixed with all ages. Good times and always a Saturday night favorite when going to downtown Sarasota. 💃🏾🎶🥂
Laid-back sports bar with free popcorn, TVs & pub grub such as wings, burgers & nachos.
The Office Bar in Sarasota is an absolute gem! The vibes here are unmatched—chill, welcoming, and full of good energy. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual drink or a night out with friends, it’s the perfect spot. The staff is super friendly, the drinks are on point, and the atmosphere makes you want to stay longer than planned. There’s even an upstairs area for darts and a downstairs space where you can shoot some pool.
Second time here, and with upmost respect this is a great neighborhood dive bar, with class. The bar is fun, clean, and service is great. There’s a small game area to play pool and an upstairs seating area as well. I enjoy sitting out front in a lounge chair enjoying my drink and having a cigar. The drinks are poured nicely and cost fits everyone’s budget. A don’t miss stoop on any bar hopping adventure.
This is my new favorite bar me and my wife were here from 9:00 a.m. till 5:00 the other day we must have drink over 20 Bud lights
Great local saloon! Paul, the owner, is great! Wayne, Nicole, and Jacee are fantastic! They keep the drinks flowing!
I had to flag down and one time waited 5 minutes before anyone asked me for another while my empty sat at refill position on the bar. But you might get better service or noticed if you are better looking I suppose. But they where very friendly and made very good drinks.
I had to say 57 is awesome pool tables TVs darts the bartenders have your drinks for you as you’re walking in Lynn Johnny Carra Clint and brian are great fun come check it out
I was in Sarasota for 9 days I had a great time at this place. The bartenders were great. The patrons were awesome. And the bar back was even cool. Were im from they don't even talk to you unless they know you. They have a guy that is 57 years old bartending on Friday nights that is literally the life of the party. From introducing you to people to making sure your glass was always full. I didn't get down there my last night there but I will be back for the shirt they promised me. Until we meet again stay 😎
My friend and I were harassed by a drunk man who was throwing lit cigarettes at us, and when we called the police, the bartender pretended they didn’t see anything even though it was all on camera and they clearly saw everything since they were trying calm the guy down. The cops confirmed there was footage, but the staff refused to cooperate and claimed they didn’t witness it??? Instead of supporting us, the bar kicked us out and “banned” us simply for protecting ourselves. We even filed a police report and were told by the owner that we were welcome to come back, but when we tried, we were kicked out again proving the owner doesn’t keep their word. This place clearly doesn’t care about women’s safety, or about creating a safe, respectful environment for anyone. If you value your safety or want a drama-free night out, avoid this place at all costs fr 👎👎
Casual pub with a broad menu, plus multiple TVs for sports fans & a daily happy hour.
By far, the best, most consistent, bar/eatery in Southside Village. The staff is beyond fabulous, everyone makes us feel very welcome, the food is incredible, and the libations are always on the mark. I can without a doubt recommend Gecko’s to anyone seeking a great dining experience, at a fair price. You guys rock!!!
I came down to Florida from Vermont to visit my mom at the nearby hospital in the ICU. I found the prices great and the service was top notch. The food was amazing and they got it to me quickly. My server, Emily was amazing. Efficient, knowledgeable, and quick. When I went back the next day for lunch my waitress was Bridget. She was very kind, as well as efficient, knowledgeable, and quick. I've been coming here every day while my mom is still in the hospital. This time I had a salad and added grilled chicken and it was amazing. Plus my waiter, Jace, made sure I didn't need anything. I didn't because he made sure I was good. Great server and food. My mom has gotten better and is recovering. I decided to have lunch at Gecko's Grill & Pub one last time before heading back to Vermont. I order french dip with french fries. I was in a bit of a hurry to get back to my mom. My server, Cliff, did a superb job. When I told him my story, he got things rolling quickly to get me what I needed. The restaurant is veteran friendly since they have veterans that work there. Cliff is a Marine who has two deployments under his belt.
Bar & grill with happy-hour deals & a laid-back vibe turning out casual fare in a tiki-style space.
Atmosphere was very tropical and plenty of live music in this restaurant as well as surrounding restaurants. We sat on the porch outside and I had the fried shrimp with cocktail sauce and my wife had a salad and salsa and fresh made chips. Raider was attentive and friendly. We use public parking which is $8 an hour apparently throughout the city there. Very enjoyable meal. Easy to recommend.
An upbeat, lively place to eat whilst at Siesta Key! The food and atmosphere was great but what really made our experience extra special was our server Shaun T. He was kind, helpful, cordial and also went the extra mile to take a precious photo. I took a chance and tried the Chef’s Favorite, “The Native”- a sweet and savory Whitefish sandwich on toasted Raisin bread. Very unique and tasty! The sweet potato fries with wicked sauce were melt in the mouth scrumptious. And the Not So Rum Runner was a perfect refreshing treat for my daughter. 🍹💜🥰
Country-western hot spot & bar featuring DJs & weekend live music, plus line-dancing lessons.
Man I wanted to love this place, but there's so much to "not" love. First off there's a cover, why? Especially if you reserve a "VIP" section, we'll get to that later. Then the cashier really isn't friendly, don't like your job, quit. Also this place is 100% line dancing, they literally crowd the dance floor for EVERY song and do line dances. At first it was fun and cool to watch, 90 minutes later our group was over it. When they do play (one) song that you can actually dance to the floor is crowded by kids who are trying to wrestle their partner around the floor going 100 miles per hour (pun intended). Mind you we frequent bars, lounges and night clubs all over the World (literally) so this is me being honest. If you're looking for a place to JUST line dance, get mediocre service with a blasting sound system this is your spot, my teenage son would probably love it here. Now to the "VIP" area we reserved... nothing about it is VIP and if your looking for any kind of service, there's none. Save your money, we had a bunch of teens (easily noticeable by the huge marks on their hands) next to us that were annoying and screaming to no end, mostly to get attention. Maybe I'm old, maybe I'm just picky, but we won't be returning, this is a one and done deal for us.
While visiting Sarasota from out of town, I came across Joyland Country Bar on Google and decided to give it a try—why not? It was a Wednesday night, and while I missed the advertised beginner’s dance lesson, I still had a fantastic time. Several locals on the dance floor were kind enough to guide me through some steps, making it easy to join in. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere really sets this place apart. The venue is spacious and lively, which is a huge plus. Even with a packed crowd, it didn’t feel claustrophobic—if anything, the energy was incredible. I ordered a non-alcoholic Heineken and a ginger ale. Unfortunately, the ginger ale was flat, and even my second try didn’t improve. My advice: double-check your drink before committing, just in case. There’s plenty of seating around the dance floor, with high tables and barstools, so whether you’re taking a break from dancing or just enjoying the music and people-watching, you’ll be comfortable. If you’re planning a celebration, Joyland seems accommodating for birthdays and other events. I loved the setup with the large screen displaying music videos and the option to request songs via a form at the DJ booth. By the time I left around midnight, the crowd had grown significantly, adding to the fun vibe. If you’re in the Sarasota area and love country music and dancing, Joyland Country Bar is definitely worth a visit. Just check the quality of your drink, and you’re in for a great time!
Love this bar! Always great service, the drinks are very reasonably priced. It's one of the last bars in Sarasota you can smoke inside and the people that go there are generally pretty cool.
best bar in the USA! great drinks, great atmosphere, great people. Couldn’t ask for more :)
I ordered the the special with 5 wings and fries for 7.99. I got the naked wings with Jack Daniel's BBQ on the side. The wings and fries came out hot and the wings were crispy and juicy. The fries were either 10 out of 10 or a 4, mostly amazing. The wings were of average size but not small and the amount of fries were just enough. My wife got the 2 for 1 long island tea and it tasted OK but very weak. I guess they mean you need 2 drinks to equal the alcohol of 1? We left not hungry but not full or buzzed. 40$ after tip so not expensive but it was all "happy hour" The staff was really nice and welcoming. TLDR: it was good but not good enough to come back.
This was our first time there. The atmosphere was really good. The service could have been a little better the place was kind of slow and we didn't get a lot of attention. There was almost a 20 minute span from when we were finished until the server came back to give us the bill. The ahi tuna tacos were really good they were just much smaller than the picture on the menu. Pictured are the shrimp tacos that my wife got. Compared to the picture from the menu you can see the tortilla is spilling over the metal trays. Maybe the trays in the stock photo are tiny??
We went on Smashburger night. A dark and cozy atmosphere inside the wine shop with a full bar. A great alternative to the normal restaurants. Very friendly and attentive staff.
Very cool place to visit. Behind the liquor store is a "speak easy". Very delicious and creative drinks. Connected to the store is the Hive Bar. Again, delicious drinks and the food was fabulous. We went on pasta night. Highly recommend.
First time here. Pat the bartender was great. All day happy hour, cold beer Great little spot. Will definitely return
Love the 'Turtle' and stop every chance we get. Local charm and great people!
This long-standing, low-lit watering hole with old-fashioned decor is popular with locals.
We only visit once a year for a week & Melissa has made us feel like family for years. Honestly could not say enough good things about her, Our favorite!!!! Rebecca & Mary are new to us this year and have done the same. Service has been efficient & fantastic in every way. Cannot say enough good things. 12/10 recommend
Melissa is amazing!! She's the kindest and most helpful person I've ever met. She saved me when I git locked out from my airbnb at 11 pm without my phone or anything!! Please come to crescent club and ask for Melissa and tip her well! She wouldn't take any of my money. She was working and serving her customers the whole time and took good care of every one and especially me!! I'm forever grateful. Please give her a raise !!
Nightspot featuring live bands 7 days a week, a rotating roster of DJs & weekly theme nights.
So much fun at this club. They had a live band who were really good. And a dj later who was just as equally good. Service was quick and friendly and mixed drinks tasted good. Atmosphere was nice too and most were on the dance floor. I would definitely go back for sure.
Amazing, they have crab legs from the same place Summer House gets them now! Sooo good, got to love a good beach bar!
Rustic pub with an outdoor patio offering a relaxed setting for beer, whiskey & live entertainment.
A great place to hang out an unwind in downtown Sarasota. They are conveniently located on Main Street. My spouse and I have been here a few times previously. This establishment in downtown Sarasota offers an excellent environment for relaxation. Its convenient location on Main Street has made it a frequent destination for my spouse and me during our visits. The bar provides reasonably priced beverages. Our previous experiences have been consistently positive. Coco and Devin, the bartenders, consistently deliver exceptional service, ensuring guests' needs are met and fostering an enjoyable atmosphere. I highly recommend both bartenders for their attention to detail. We plan to revisit this establishment during our next trip to Sarasota. They have reasonably priced drinks. We had great previous experiences. Coco and Devin a great bar tenders and ensure guests have everything to have a fun time! I highly recommend both bar tenders as they show attention to detail. We definitely will revisit the next time we are in Sarasota.
Shout out to Dominic, the security team, and bartending team! They made me feel so safe and protected. Great environment. Great vibes. Love coming here.
Laid-back sports bar with free popcorn, TVs & pub grub such as wings, burgers & nachos.
you are a casual Golf fan that enjoys a bite & a drink or two...or more Evie's should be one of your go to spots... This place is literally a "Tavern On The Range." Fairly big venue with plenty of seating inside and and outside as well. The long fully stocked outdoor bar in the back is flanked by the Range. Typical Florida weather, its much cooler inside with the AC than outside. We came here to grab a bite to eat and hit the driving range for a bit, however we never got around to the driving range. #TavernGrub: ~ STARTERS: DELUXE NACHOS - 2/5 Massive plate of Nachos that were OK. There were a lot of chips on the plate. It definitely needed more toppings and they skimped on the Ground Beef. ~ 6 PIECE WINGS w Nashville Hot Sauce - 3/5 Your standard Chicken wings with "Nashville Hot Sauce." The Wings were OK, the sauce wasn't spicy, it had a warm mouthfeel and didn't linger. ~ BUFFALO CHICKEN PIZZA - 4/5 We were impressed by the pizza. This was similar to a NYC thin crust. Good flavor with an excellent crust. They could have added more chicken. We found the food to be OK, nothing outstanding, just your standard Bar food, some good and some not so good. I'd sit inside next time.
Yooooo! Looking for some fantastic bar and grill food, good drafts, great service from Natalie (you may think you see her twin at the outdoor bar as well), and the best people watching then come on over to Evie's. Enjoyed this fantastic black and blue burger, an ice cold beer and homemade ranch with my fries! Daily happy hour so you know this place is a good time. Don't take my word for it, come check it out yourself. Don't like beer? No problem. Fully decked out TV's to watch sports. Don't like to watch sports? No problem. You can play golf or putt putt? Don't like golf and putt? Well starting to think you're not American.... And that I can't help you with! Come to Evie's
Pub grub & cocktails served in an easygoing, industrial space with a pool table & sidewalk seating.
Evie’s Tavern & Grill on Main Street is a fantastic place to grab a bite and catch a game. The atmosphere is lively, with a massive LED TV that’s perfect for watching sports. Their menu is diverse, offering everything from homemade pizzas to classic American dishes. I highly recommend trying their $9 burgers on Thursdays – delicious! The outdoor seating area is a nice touch, especially on a beautiful Florida day. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. While the service can be a bit slow when it’s busy, the quality of the food makes up for it. If you’re looking for a casual spot in Sarasota with good food, drinks, and a fun atmosphere, Evie’s Tavern & Grill is definitely worth a visit!
Burger was excellent and the fries top notch. Service was on point. Honestly wasn't expecting much but they did everything and more that you want from a sports bar.
Classic dive bar with a standard range of drinks, pool, darts & karaoke or live music most nights.
Went with some of the FAMILY for my husband's 82nd birthday to play POOL !! IT WAS FANTASTIC !! Such very nice people there ❤️❤️❤️
I had the pleasure of being served by Erica. It is a great dive bar. The happy hour special is no longer a bogo, but gets you smashed for FAR LESS than the surrounding establishments. As someone who is younger, I got to enjoy an atmosphere that is not typically seen in the midwest since I've turned 21. It feels like it is straight out of the 80s or 90s, authentictically. Nice pools tables.
Chill outpost in a historic building features bands & DJs in a cozy space with a trendy bar scene.
Really nice local bar right on Main Street. No food is served, but there are many options right down the street. They have entertainment many nights. E.g. Tuesday is Pornobingo (see separate Google Maps place for info), Thursday is dancing with DJ and live music. We were there on a Tuesday for Pornobingo (fun) and the bartender made amazing drinks. It was kind of quiet until 9pm, but then the atmosphere got going.
An excellent experience for a night out listening to live music. Huge 2 floor establishment that boasts multiple bars and friendly staff. Great live music venue if you are ok with it being a little cramped. Overall, great spot for groups, solo, or a fun date night.
As Solo Woman - (If I could give zero, I would.) Okay, let me set the stage: I went to Cheetah's on a Friday/Saturday night about 1:00 am (closing time was 2:30 am), completely SOLO. This was only my 2nd ever experience going to a strip the 1st being 2 months before as a complete fluke! At that encounter I was totally blown away by 1 of the dancers who at the end of the night I walked up to and told her how she had popped my strip club cherry with her amazing dancing! So, in reality I wasn't there for the usual reasons. I really just wanted to see Angel (dancer) and find a cool spot with vibes, loud music, and maybe good drinks. Also, I literally have zero interest in women, so I wasn't there to hire anyone or cause drama—good music and better margaritas. VIP Experience - $30 Before even walking into the club you had to pay for self parking ($4). Walking in the cashier greeted me, asked how many people which I answered I was by myself. I also let her know that this was only my 2nd time ever at a strip club so I wasn't sure what was expected. The cashier looked at me like I was an anomaly!!. And presided to ask which entrance price I wanted to pay. Options being - GA $4 or VIP $30. Not knowing what to expect I choose VIP and was then led by a gentleman to the roped off area and I sat down at the bar. The Bartender (Kayla) came over and asked me what I wanted to drink which I responded of course a margarita, which was actually really good (credit where credit is due). Then I started to notice the LOOKS. I was listening to the music which was actually good too! fine, scrolling my phone and minding my own business. I asked one of the gentleman overseeing the area if by chance they knew who Angel was and if she was working that evening. He let me know that unfortunately Angel only worked the day shift but that there were other girls who could dance just as good. Ejection Move with No Foul After finishing my 1st drink (20 minutes later) I went back up to the bar and asked for another drink only to be told by Kayla that I was cutoff! She apologized and let me that it wasn't her decision. Then another gentleman came over to the bar and hit me with the most humiliatiing line ever: "We appreciate you stopping by, but this atmosphere probably isn't what you're looking for Ma'am." It was insulting! They clearly do not welcome the idea of a solo, female, paying customer (with no interest in women), or someone just looking for a low-key, independent night out. Warning ⚠️ If you’re a woman going solo, looking for some fun music and a couple of cocktails without engaging with the dancers, prepare to be stared down, given one drink, and booted out before you can even settle into your seat. Zero stars for chill. Go literally anywhere else!
I want to give a shout out to the night staff of cheetahs you guys are great!!! Paul , Richard , Noah , Melissa, Kayla Roxanne , Mario , Selma and Divina!!! And my guy E the door man!!! You guys do what you can for everyone keep doing the best you can for your customers as long as they are looking out for you! Much love guys!!!!
