We just went to Bluesday Tuesday and had a blast! This place is little but packs a lot of charm. The decor is amazing with portraits of blues greats, a cigar box guitar and other memorabilia. The music was great, the staff are really nice and the place has a nice vibe. We missed out on cajun food that night but hope to be back to check that out. They have a small but varied drink offerings so we were each able to find something we were happy with.
What a beautiful place. I felt like I was lost in the energies here. I felt both uplifted and soothed here, as if moments flowed into one another. Glad to have stayed here for a spell.
Beer only... But great service by bartenders who are also the owners. Kind and friendly. Good live music with a predominantly older crowd, which made for a different but entertaining vibe. Plenty of shuffling around on the dance floor 😜. The live band on the night I visited put on a good show. The singer was connected with the audience and tbh was mesmerizing to watch perform... Aka beautiful. I still prefer my dive bars with heavy liquor pours, but this place is a nice stop to make while passing through
50/10 this is the best hidden gem in Tallahassee!!! The one or two weirdos that left a bag review are psycho Karen's lmao!!! Met the owner and went to the musician meetup and it was hella litty!!!! This is my new spot, just moved from Los Angeles and it's worth every moment spent there!!!!
I really like this bar. I go into other bars and they play different types of music over the sound system. And I like music of all kinds. But the problem is, other bars don’t play Steely Dan. Battle Pony does, and that makes me like Battle Pony, the Steely Dan that is.
Rockstar bartender, chill environment and declicous cocktails.
Super cool lounge, great selection of cigars and Zach & Sophia are delightful and don't skip in the Cuban coffee, while they don't serve liquor (which almost had me not checking them out) the coffee pairs nicely with the cigar, will definitely be back when in town✌🏽💯
Excellent cigar bar! Atmosphere is phenomenal! Cigar selection is fantastic, decent beer selection with some on tap. Moka pot coffee and wine. You must stop in.
Got to eat here after Tallahassee Film Festival and it was a really cool spot to socialize in midtown. The lounge has really cozy booths + tables that are hard to find elsewhere, and it’s downstairs off the street which adds a cool “underground” feel.
I went here to grab a drink with a friend and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The staff greeted us with warm welcome and treated us as if we were old friends. The atmosphere was great and the drinks were even better. We’ll be back for sure.
Casual stop with mid-century design featuring 100 craft beers, artisan wines & pub grub.
Friendly neighborhood bar. So many Great selections. Revisited for trivia night and that was fun!
Great selection of beers and the Beer cheese is amazing. I highly recommend this place if you like Games, food, and drinks.
Everything was incredible. Atmosphere, waiters, and food! We luckily booked our reservation on a quieter day/time, so we were well waited on. As it was our first time, my husband and I decided to go big and get the 5-course Hunter Tasting Experience which was amazing! Every dish brought something different and unique. Things wouldn’t normally pick to eat on their own, but paired throughout the tasting, they all worked so well together! There isn’t a kid’s menu, but our kiddo was well taken care of as well. They ordered the Seafood Cioppino which was out of this world. Cameron, our waiter, was so kind and fun and knowledgeable as well.
Great food and incredible service. Price I listed is per person. Not a huge place... the furnishings and atmosphere are nice, but not on par w/ the food and service. What really impressed me was the A5 marsala butter and the bourbon bacon onion jam... and the dessert, peach hand pie. The flavor of all 3 were, not to be dramatic but, special. I can't speak highly enough of the flavor and execution of those 3 dishes. All in all great experience, and highly recommended.
Drinks and service were incredible. I came in trying to see the great bartender Grace, but Rachel the bartender was also one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had! Highly recommend if you are around Tallahassee. Pizza from Gaines Street Pies (attached) is also unmatched!
This place is great for tasting lots of whiskey. Whiskey Wednesdays was the special and the prices were fair. There expensive and rare bottles also. The crew was very nice! Bartenders were great prepi g my ice. Good place to hangout once a week or everyday.
Omg how fantastic. We waited 15 minutes for a place at the bar. We were so lucky because we got to watch all the drinks being made. I had a bloody mary, which wasnt on the menu yet, that had pickle and garlic infused vodka. That was so enjoyable. That was a delicious pickled okra on top. Oooooooooo yum.
Atmospheric and have some absolute wildcard drinks (see below, eggplant syrup!), incredible minds behind that wooden bar
The establishment offered a selection of games, including darts and pool, which was quite appealing. Despite the lack of patrons, the atmosphere remained pleasant and inviting. Fortunately, the live music provided a lively and engaging experience, which helped fill the void. The combination of games and music certainly created a welcoming environment overall. It was a nice place to relax and enjoy oneself for a while.
Me and my girls went here after bulls for her 23rd birthday and it was literally the worst bar I’ve ever been to. The bartender was the worst perv I’ve ever encounters in tally. He kept on giving me shots and not my friends event after I told him I had a fiance. Omg like I’m actually afraid to even go near there after this
Been a minute since I posted but I'm back at it. I got the chance to try The Lounge At Market Street out while having a get together for a friends birthday. I like the atmosphere because it's cozy on the inside and then they have the outside area where you can enjoy a nice cigar while you sip and watch TV. They have a killer selection of top shelf and hard to find liquors, even saw Pappy up there! Looking at their menu, there's something for everyone in there. I started by trying the Boulevardier because the ingredients seemed interesting and I've never had one before. It was ok and a little tart, so I moved on to the Old Fashioned. It was pretty decent so I decided to try one more drink before sticking with the Old Fashioned. One of my friends tried a Black Martini so I asked our server for one. I swear that was the best Martini I've ever had so I stuck with those for the remainder of the night. I wish this place had food options because you need something to soak up those tasty beverages they serve. The great thing about this place is they allow you to bring something to eat with you or you can have it delivered. We had a blast inside the establishment and outside in the lounge area. I'll definitely be back! The service here is top notch too!
For some reason, it is becoming a tradition for the four of us to stop by this small place on Christmas Eve night after our Secret Santa party. You'd think the place would be empty! You'd be wrong. Heck, last year on Christmas Eve we even ran into Santa at this place. The REAL Santa! If you like top-shelf cocktails and friendly bartenders, you'll love this place - even if it isn't Christmas Eve. Cheers and Merry Christmas!
Vintage warehouse turned live music venue with multi-genre concerts, a full bar & a restaurant.
Friendliest staff I have ever met. They’re so supporting of artists and such a pleasure to talk to. They make the overall environment a comfortable place to enjoy and I couldn’t have felt more welcome. Also their food recommendation was spot on because now I’m addicted to their brisket quesadilla. Definitely going to be a frequent place of mine.
This venue has the reputation of bringing in good and diverse talent. We love coming here with friends.
Spacious, informal joint featuring a wide selection of whiskey & bourbon & an attached pizzeria.
Warhorse is hands-down one of the best whiskey bars I’ve ever visited. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between cozy and classy, and their whiskey selection is impressive — whether you’re into rare pours or just exploring something new. Special shoutout to Aggy, the bartender, who made the night unforgettable. She’s knowledgeable without being pretentious, genuinely friendly, and has a knack for recommending drinks you’ll actually love. Her whiskey pairings were spot-on, and she makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time there. If you’re in Tallahassee and appreciate good whiskey with great service, Warhorse is a must-visit. Ask for Aggy — you won’t regret it!
Decent decor. Very nice selection of bourbon and scotch whiskey with a handful of vodka, gin, and rum from the top shelf. Genuinely friendly staff. Dull, unimaginative ambience with cafeteria seating. Albeit, it includes all bar stool seats with foot rests and pizza from the shared open air store around the corner. The sharing includes the most notuceable ice cube dump from the pizza place soda machine intermingling with the bars cool groovin' background music complimenting the echo machine of overall terrible acoustics.
Excellent bar/restaurant right near Doak. The food was great. Everything was fresh. I got the Bobby Burger and Bowden's Brew. The Bowden's Brew was a beer they selected for that time. I can't recall what the beer was, but it was light with a good flavor. The Bobby Burger was well cooked, and the fries were fresh. The atmosphere is just what you'd want in a sports bar type restaurant. Staff was friendly and attentive, and even though they were slightly busy, the food came pretty quickly.
Visited Bowden’s for the first time a few weeks ago and enjoyed our experience. Service was friendly and helpful. We tried the pretzels and they were delicious. We also tried the burgers (I’m sorry can’t remember which ones we ordered) but they were flavorful. The restaurant was clean and I’m sure during football season this place stays packed.
Relaxed outpost featuring live bands, BBQ grub, bowling & a full bar with cocktails & beer.
Always stop by The Wilbury when I come back in town. The Wilbury (sandwich) is a must try. Their wings are smoked and flashed fried. Absolutely love this place.
Love the Wilbury, great food and atmosphere. Always a fun place to hang out and have a drink but have noticed an odd change. The bartenders have looked right past me to attend to someone who just walked up with their friends. Literally flagging the bartender who just seemed to completely ignore us.
Love sneaking in here every now and then! Casey and Pam are the best! Plus there's a pizza joint next door!
Great bar, the owner gives back to the community. It looks rough around the edges, but it's a safe bar. They'll accept you no matter race, creed, background or lifestyle. Bartenders are friendly, diverse variety of bands play there. And if you're there for awhile, you can guarantee the music selections played on the jukebox is as diverse as the customers. I sat for hours and listened to everything from Abba to Zeppelin 😆 Biker and Veteran friendly. They don't serve food, but you're literally surrounded by options.
The Cheese Louise was delicious and just a perfect blend of a grilled cheese sandwich and hamburger come together, it was a marriage made in heaven. My husband’s grouper sandwich, ohhh boy… The bun was bigger than the fish. He wanted and ordered the grouper fried but it arrived grilled. The portion of fish was very small, and it tasted like it was prepackaged and previously frozen, not fresh. Overall the waiter did a very good job, very attentive. the beer was good, the mixed drinks were very very good and that’s it, get a better grouper sandwich.
Good food and strong drinks! We got the sliders as an app and I almost didn't get a picture! The French bread pizza also didn't last long. I got that Buffalo chicken sandwich with the ginger slaw. I didn't particularly care for the side but everything was made with quality ingredients. We would differently go again.
I recently visited the Proof Brewery at 1320 S Monroe St, in Tallahassee, FL. I had a nice experience at this brewery. It's a large interior space with plenty of seating. I got there early and was able to have a nice talk with the bartender. A very nice place to enjoy on of their varieties of beer.
Great family atmosphere. Excellent beer. But the buffalo chicken sandwich gave me a stomach ache. Everything else was very very good. This is a go to if you like weird sour beers
Hopping, brew-centric watering hole with an extensive beer selection & no-frills surroundings.
I wanted to like the place, because I love dive bars. However the garbage piles of broken bar stools and unusable pool tables along with the stale (think basement smell) air kind of take over when you walk in. Bartender was friendly, and a good selection of bottled and canned beer. Not much for draft beers. Not the cheapest place either considering the environment. Kind of looked like they were between owners. The location is great and if I were in the market to buy a bar this one is prime for the taking, but I'm not, I just wanted a cheap beer. Or maybe I came in while they were doing renovations, I'll give it another try in a month or two.
Service is great Charlie Gill is genuine. The owner Bill is kind and very knowledgeable. I do hope one day he gets his taps up and running again. He had the best beer on tap I ever had. Still great selection of bottled beer and cans. Lots of history in those walls I hope to see them do well.
This game-day bar serves burgers & fried fare, plus local beers & party platters for big groups.
Great location wings were delicious! Customer service was very nice and attentive. Plenty of inside and outside seating. Televisions everywhere would be a great place to watch sports! Here on business no long wait at all on a weekday evening and prices are reasonable.
I've eaten here maybe twice before a few years ago, but I feel like they got better (aside from the price increase, of course). Food-wise: Let me just say the portion size of fries that I received for $5.49 was ridiculous. The food is delicious though. Everything came hot and cooked perfectly in my opinion-- well, except for the wings which weren't my favorite. My favorites were the cheeseburger sliders and the spinach artichoke dip. Both were so flavorful and hot when it reached the table. The cheese pull on the spinach dip was glorious. My hard raspberry lemonade hit the spot too! The wings just started to taste and look a little /too/ GMO. It wasn't too busy when we arrived around 5:00 and were immediately sat in a spacious booth (we definitely needed it). Tim, our server, was pretty nice and made sure we were good at all points. We didn't spend more than an hour and 30 minutes between arrival and departure so service was nicely paced in my opinion. We left happy with some delicious leftovers and plans to come back again to try something else on the menu. I recommend. -P.S. I really appreciate the change in uniform for the women, the old design made the atmosphere feel more... Hooters-esque. It may be slight, but I noticed the difference.
Vibrant bar & grill featuring burgers, wings, Sunday brunch & more, plus drag shows & music nights.
Always have a great time when visiting the area music and atmosphere are great, I never seem to meet and talk with anyone there. Staff is nice I dance by my self and have a good time. Would love to be able to mingle with some one, or talk to peopleI have never been treat bad by people there but they don't seem to take kindly to strangers I visit here from Raleigh NC often and never spoken to anyone in the club. What's with that.
I love coming here, it's definitely THE SPOT! The people and staff are super friendly! I love the different themes have going on, on different nights and it's always something different every night.
This is more of a bar type pool hall, the food and the staff are great. The tables though need professional help. The tables aren’t level, some of them have drink coasters as shims. The sticks and balls are completely worn out and they give you chalk that looks like it was thrown out by other pool halls. It basically a wrapper with some chalk residue still in it. When your name has the word pool before pub you should really spend the money to maintain the equipment a little better.
What can I say they have everything that a restaurant should have. At least 90% of the employees that work here are amazing. The food is amazing if you play pool it's a great place to go, and most of all they have fantastic customer service. Customer service is what makes a restaurant. The price of the food is very reasonable. I would sit there and buy a Diet Coke and give a $7 tip just because how amazing the customer services.
Great place to host any function or just to relax from a long work week. My sister and her friends held a boots on the ground party
My new go-to place! Home cooked food was delicious. I went there for a fundraiser, and I ended up buying fish and grits after I had already placed my order to go (pancakes and bacon). We are a foodie family. Although I'm a very, very picky eater, the food was delicious!! And my 16 yr old pickier granddaughter chomped on her breakfast too plate #3!! They have wings, my daughter and friend say are the best. Fridays spoken word, and liquor is sold there too. Can be used as an event space. Just a safe, cool environment. Pick up and delivery services as well.
Comfortable hangout spotlighting elevated pub fare, unique bespoke cocktails & craft draft beer.
I had a wonderful experience here but I must stick with 4 Stars. Staff manager was new but did a wonderful job. I felt the waiter was new also, so I prob just need to come back when they have a little more staff. I had excellent service and the food came out as ordered and timely. I do not like paying $13 for a shot of liquor from a $55 bottle but it is what it is. I did enjoy the house special for happy hour the House Old Fashioned Bourbon is nice. I really, really enjoyed the mussels and menu set-up. I designed the chandelier they have but did not put it on paper, it’s a Blanton’s bottle Chandelier and I love it!
Stumbled upon this restaurant and so glad we did. We were in Tallahassee for family weekend and everything was packed. We accidentally found this restaurant and it was PHENOMENAL. Best food the whole weekend. We sat on the patio. It was so relaxing and quiet. Our server was excellent. It was late and we had to order by 10pm. We ordered apps, dinner and desserts all at once. It was still brought out spaced nicely in between. 100% an exceptional experience. There were 3 of us, for apps we had scottish eggs, pork belly, and the warm potato salad. Dinner was 2 steak frites and one pan seared snapper. Dessert was the chocolate custard w/ raspberry whipped cream and blueberry almond pound cake. The steak frites came with a homemade steak sauce. Fries were perfect. It was OUTSTANDING! Every single item! I can’t rave about it enough. We will definitely be back when we come to FSU to visit. Even the water was delicious. The other restaurants we ate it I had to bring my own as it tasted terrible. This restaurant is TOP NOTCH. Wish I remembered our server’s name. He was awesome. 10/10 🙌🏼
Low-key hangout offering pool, darts & sports on TV, plus American grub like fried fish & burgers.
Fun place with very local crowd. Service was very good. Wings cooked to perfection (as I like ordered crispy). Grouper tacos had a very generous portion of perfectly blacked fish. Fries came out hot. Definitely coming back.
Great sports bar in Tallahassee - all staff between bartenders, hosts, and security go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need and are having a great time. My husband & I went for a Bills game, where they set us up in their more private area to watch it since it was not the primary game on TV. Wings were excellent! Highly recommend.
My husband and I went for a dinner date and this place by far exceeded my expectations. My whole experience from the food to the service to even the video games was redefined in the absolute best way. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Great place for kids and adults. Food was top notch!
Chicken wings & tenders served alongside eclectic takes on burgers, tacos, mac 'n' cheese & more.
Great food, some really good specials and quick and efficient service. On a side note, they have a large amount of televisions, so a nice place to go watch sport and enjoy great food while doing it. I did have the mac and cheese burger, which may seem a little odd, but their mac and cheese is really good. If not on the burger, I would recommend it as a side.
I tried this place out for the first time for a lunch date with my husband last weekend, and was actually an enjoyable experience. We'll definitely come again soon😊
Classic Tallahassee brick house converted into a bustling American restaurant with patio seating.
Super friendly staff, chill vibe, and a great location can’t ask for more. Tried the meatball ricotta pizza at Brickhouse and it was phenomenal! The meatballs were tender, the ricotta was creamy, and the crust had the perfect bite. Definitely coming back!
Nice place! Loud, but moderate. Outside deck is AMAZING for sunsets. I had their pizza. Pepperoni was great! Full of young joyful people. I felt an outsider being 36 😂. Nice staff.
In I recently dined at Charlie Park and had an incredible experience! The Curry Pork Osso Buco was a standout dish, perfectly tender and bursting with flavor. The Mushroom Wellington was equally impressive, offering a delightful combination of textures and tastes. To top it all off, the desserts were simply divine—each one was a sweet masterpiece. The ambiance was inviting, and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend Charlie Park for anyone looking for a memorable culinary experience! Five stars all the way!
We went to Charlie Park for our anniversary. We found a parking space easily. Once we exited the elevator, we were greeted promptly by our host Emma. She was very pleasant and professional. We were a little early for our reservation, so we grabbed a drink. Tyler and Lawrence we working behind the bar. We got a cocktail (the rum one hehe) that was delicious. Once seated, Daniel greeted us and gave a few suggestions for us to consider. The lamb lolly’s were an excellent appetizer. For our main dishes, we got the lobster roll and the ribeye. Both were great, with the ribeye having a slight lead. We were going to get dessert, but had filled ourselves up. Haha. Daniel had the entire outside and he was kicking butt. To assist Daniel, Mia was bringing out our dishes to the table hot. Sam was holding all of it together. It was a great team effort. Kudos to Stacy, Chris and all of the above mentioned people. Kudos indeed!!
Chic, indoor/outdoor rooftop lounge at Hotel Duval popular for tapas & skyline views.
Very nice roof top bar that was not crowded when we went early. Very good Bourbon selection. Service was fantastic!
Food was amazing! We ordered the bacon sliders burger along with the chicken buffalo dip. Service was great, the view was breathtaking. We saw the sunset. We ordered some drinks! 🌅 If you are planing a night out, this is the place to be.
Relaxed American grill & bar offering games on multiple TVs & a menu of pub grub.
So many truly great people hang out here. This feels like a very local bar with regulars coming in often! We travelled from South Africa looking for a place that will show the soccer. When we phoned to ask if they will show the game, they assured us we could. When we arrived, the correct channel was on the big screen, ready for when the game starts. We received cold beer within minutes and never sat with and empty drink. We met great new friends and had an absolute blast of a day. The drink specials and food prices are very decent. We will never forget this visit! It was also the BEST value for money, so cheap for top notch treatment 👌
This was my first time at 4th Quarter. I came early with some friends to watch the Women's Rugby World Cup. The bartender was great, she didnt mind changing a TV for us. The food was great and shockingly inexpensive. I had a couple spicy bloody Mary's and they were great. I will be back.
Came here because it was across the street from the hotel and the reviews were good. Probably the best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had and the sweet potato fries were excellent: waffle cut and came with real cinnamon butter. I don’t care anything about pool but this was some of the best food that you will get at a pool hall/dive bar. Employees are friendly, attentive and contribute to a fun atmosphere. If I lived here I would be a regular.
The first time I walked into Zingales Billiards & Sports Bar, I expected a good night out. What I didn’t expect was to find a place that would feel like a second home. Over the years, it’s become the spot where I can relax, see familiar faces, and know I’ll be treated like family. From the start, the staff made an impression. Before long, they knew my name, knew my drink, and had it ready before I even found my seat. The food quickly became part of the ritual always on point, always consistent. But more than anything, it’s the people that make Zingales what it is. Taylor, Destiny, Rae, Trinity, Prince, Tiffany, Frank, Kristen, Michael, Tiffanie, Ashley, Britney, Misty, Kay, and Marcel each of them has added something special to the experience. They don’t just serve; they connect, they care, and they make every visit personal. They set a standard that still shows in the culture today. That’s why I keep going back. Zingales isn’t just a place to grab food or play pool it’s where service feels genuine, where community comes alive, and where you leave already looking forward to the next visit.
It was pretty solid! We got an ahi tune salad and fish tacos and my daughter got hotwings. It was really good for the price. The servers were very nice and the meals came out quick. The only downside was the fish was overcooked on the tacos, but the flavor was still great.
We absolutely love everything we ordered. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. We can't look forward to going back to it. It's so convenient for us because we can walk to the restaurant. The serving that they gave me of catfish strips was more than what I could eat. My wife absolutely loved her Reubin sandwich. She said it was the best she ever had. Our son enjoyed his burger as well.
I feel so comfortable sitting at the bar, eating my loaded tots, watching the FSU volleyball team play Oklahoma, and talking to the bartenders. Both bartenders were talking to me and before I knew it, I had settled in. That’s why I’m here writing this review, so you can hopefully feel as comfortable as I.
Don’t get the food lol. The menu said this fish sandwich would have tomato and lettuce, etc. common things for a sandwich to have.. but this was it. 16 dollars. I was hungry, so I ate it, can’t be too mad. They don’t have PBR, which sucked. Pitcher of Michelob for 10 dollars. Atmosphere was nice, was fun watching people play pool, they charge by the minute I heard. Wouldn’t recommend, but wasn’t mad I went.
The bartenders are chill, yet extremely professional. The manager is very knowledgeable about different spirits and how to pair them well, even crafting their own, signature drinks based on what your taste preference is. The best bar in Tally for sure. A+
There's no food but they allow outside food. The drinks are top notch and they serve bottles that you won't find in any other restaurant! Go there I promise you'll enjoy it.
Neighborhood hangout offering retro arcade games & classic drinks.
Wednesday night karaoke has come so far. I remember a few years ago when there was barely anyone there now that Jay has taken over being the DJ and Heidi has taken over the bar. This place is so packed. It’s amazing to see a local business doing great. I always get to sing at least once which is amazing. In the past, I’ve had one of the DJs asked me for money to be on the list. Jay has never done that and he’s fair with everyone, which is pretty awesome. He’s a real standup guy. I’ve become addicted going every Wednesday nights. Yesterday it was a full house which puts a smile on my face
I can’t believe this place offers their pizza on uber eats. I’m from out of town and thought I could at least get mediocre pizza. This is worse than Chuck E. Cheese Woefully undercooked, no crunch to the crust. Mounded with cheese and sauce and being undercooked just makes it mushy. The pepperoni was fine I guess? I see this is a live music venue and I understand selling crappy pizza at a show, but to even offer it on uber eats is insulting to anyone just wanting below average pizza.
Clever pub fare served in cool, industrial digs with a covered patio, trivia nights & sports on TV.
Service and ambiance is always great here! Brunch is great and the view is gorgeous outside. Our server Jessica was wonderful and so attentive! She got our order out quickly and on point. Our food was delicious and drinks here are yum and they get you right. The mimosa pitcher is a steal. Aux never misses.
I had the time of my life at MadSo on game day. Kind of pricey to get in but had a blast. The wait time was too long for food so we just hit the bar since Bert was serving shots. Epic morning. We will be back.
Family-friendly chain outpost pairs familiar pub fare with an extensive list of house brews.
This location is filthy. It's a pity the front of house is so nasty because they're actually doing a pretty good job in the kitchen. Food was hot but we had lost our appetite a bit as we waited and observed the nasty filth. The floors were covered in rubbish, the trim all covered in dust and grease and this was at 4:00. It wasn't busy. No reason a little cleaning couldn't happen but it seems the Manager on Duty would prefer to watch the game and celebrate touchdowns than help or encourage his staff. He walked over the trash in the floor. Classy. Also good thing that you can pay at your table without seeing a server again. She never came back after we placed our order until the hostess heard me complaining to me husband that we hadn't seen her to order another drink or get a water refill. And on that note, praise to the hostess. She was the most professional human in the building.
During our trip to Tallahassee my family stopped into BJs for dinner. We were promptly greeted and seated. We ordered our food. The wings are delicious 👍🏽 and deep dish pizza 🍕
Our server was great. The seafood crab Bisque tasted good, although it was too runny. They put some seafood as garnish in the middle, and that was the only solid seafood. Maybe the last of it 🤷🏾♀️. Sadly, the food was hit or missed. The dirty rice and oysters were actually kind of nasty. I'm not sure how they messed them up, but the water used for the rice must have been bad or something. The fried scallops were perfect. The fish (Swia and catfish) was fried hot but a little bland. The shrimp was seasoned well. They have specials, so may try them one day. They have big tvs everywhere, so ita great place for sports fans!
Fabulous food. The chicken wings were great- fabulous flavor. The Crab Bisque was served hot- it was creamy and perfect. The Wahoo salad was huge- and the full of tomatoes- cheese- cranberries and the dressing was great. The Wahoo burger had a tower of shrimp on tip. The best was fried green tomatoes wete perfection.
Longtime saloon draws a high-energy crowd with DJs, bands & a variety of daily drink specials.
Rudest staff I've ever encountered. I attempted to enter with a valid, state issued ID. Imagine my shock when the girl working the door said my ID is fake, and she's going to keep it! She wouldn't give back MY OWN ID, and I had a nice little game of tug-of-war to get it back in my hands. She said she can call the manager over and she did. She scanned my ID and the system shows, it was a valid REAL ID. Never coming back here.
Amazing staff, always on top of their game. Pretty faces, great attitudes, etc etc etc. highly recommended.
Lived in the apartments next to this place when I was in college back in 1998, but never came in. Fast forward to 2025. Great atmosphere, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Pool tables are $2 a game, but the beer is cold. It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside, and a great place to watch a game.
I had a great time at palace and I told every bartender this was my first time here. I met Rodney. I met Xander and I met Tom. Tom promised me he would shout me out because it was my first time here. He said he would shout me out during last call. When last call came around, he told me he wouldn’t shout me out until close. I stayed until close and when close came around, he wouldn’t shout me out. This is just unfriendly and bad customer service. I’m still in the bar and I’m so mad because I got a lot of love here, just not from TOM
Old-school choice with drink specials, live music & dancing, plus comedy & karaoke nights.
Nice music for a older crowd born 1960 - 1995. Drinks are inexpensive and smooth.
This place has good fried chicken wings and fish. Great drinks. Definitely worth every penny. These are the only two draws to this club. The lines to get in are horrible. There is no crowd control when entering the club. People often walk to the front as if they are going to VIP, but they merge with the regular lines. They have tried barricades but that doesn’t work without staff outside to keep order. On event nights (ie. graduation, homecoming, game weekends) they will price gauge upwards of $50 or more. I write this review as I currently leave the line that they were holding in 40 degree weather. The reason I rated them so low is because these are black people doing this to other black people. 😡
Casual spot with 24 pool tables, darts & mini bowling, along with burgers & beer.
Okay let’s talk. I’m currently sitting on the back porch at Pockets getting ready to call my Life Insurance leads. I ordered a delicious Tokyo tea and I have a cheeseburger on the way. Then I realized it. I really do love this place. This is my daytime hideout. My any day getaway. And I just realized it. Now at night time, I don’t feel like I fit in sometimes because everyone looks like the coolest person in town compared to my laidback style but during the daytime, this is where I want to be. For years yall. I’ve done homework. I’ve taken my Dad here when he visited me from Florida. My siblings and I have come here to hang when they’re in town as well. For years, this is where I came for karaoke every Tuesday and Thursday. And this is where, I first had the chance to feel like a superstar. Even in Sharkys! I’ve been on stage during one of the open mics events they hosted and even though I didn’t win, I felt welcome! In other words, I just realized, I’ve loved this place for a very very long time and if Pockets’s never existed, I don’t know if I’d be the same person I am today. I’ve faced so many fears here. Bro I remember coming on a Saturday night when I was a student and being so overwhelmed, I sat on the only open seat I could find by the bathrooms until someone walking out accidentally knocked the table and spilled my drink! Looking back now, all I can do is laugh. Thank God for Pockets Pool & Pub. Truly, thank God.
We enjoy our first time visiting Pockets 👍 😀 The food was okay, kinda pricy and wings were cooked too hard. I know when you're drinking it's convenient to have food available. Just pay attention to your food orders if you like it done a certain way, say it. The women's bathrooms 👎 management really needs to work on the the bathroom situation. Most of the stall were not WORKING properly! Water in the floor in one, the other stall, toilet didn't flush! The paper towel holder was barely hanging on the wall and was EMPTY. With those prices, you shouldn't have a mediocre experience! Pub or not, they could do better.
Sports-bar chain featuring hearty American fare (including gluten-free dishes) & games on TV.
A great sports bar in Tallahassee. We had a very nice business lunch with healthy salad options that were delicious. Abby our waitress was terrific and provided great service. When in town this is a great spot for wings, games and fun.
I went on a Friday evening and was greeted immediately by the hostess Linda, who was friendly amazing. She made sure I was comfortable and familiar with everything they have to offer. I shared with her that I was new to Tallahassee in a short conversation. The manager John came out to welcome me and brought appetizer samples for me to try which were amazing! My waiter Daniel, who was also the bartender made sure he checked my table and made sure I was good! Great first experience and will definitely be back and no i am not a paid actor. Lol
Burritos & Mexican bites plus beer & cocktails served at this lively sports bar with DJ nights.
Cool little spot, GREAT quesa birria tacos and chips (get the chorizo cheese) and friendly service, my server was nice (GO BIRDS 🦅🦅🦅) the Margheritas were 2 for 1, but honestly too sweet, if there's a negative to this experience it was that, music and vibe was cool, plenty of tvs to watch the game as well✌🏽
The most awesome garlic Parmesan wings ever the food here is great. The wings are totally awesome. If you do the garlic Parm and ask for them to be cooked a little bit crispy they just turn out like this picture and they are totally awesome. Thanks for the great food Limomike.
Casual sports-pub chain with basics from bar snacks to steaks & a large selection of tap beers.
Welp, Not a good experience while here visiting our child in college. Slow, seemingly unorganized, possibly short staffed 🤷🏽♂️ Just not good. Food was unflavored. Whole family was unimpressed. My pork shank was decent. Thats all. Not coming back ever 😒
Shrimp boat!!! We both had the 35...wait what?!?!? 35 piece shrimp with a side. So much shrimp and even better yet tasty good! Huge selection of beers great bar super nice bartender Nice menu delicious fries. I believe there's multiple of these in town and I would recommend it especially if you're staying in the hotel and of course locals already know about it. Did I mention the 35 shrimp were under $16 are you kidding me!
We had never been in sharkeys in Tallahassee and we won’t go back. The hostess was very sweet and accommodating. She charged us for a pool table and cover. Then Cody the bartender came over and was upset the hostess charged us. we were rung up for a pool table she said she had to refund it and charge again. Still haven’t received refund and we were charged For pool sticks when we had our own we also didn’t play for an hour. Even though we waited 10 minutes for pool balls. Cody was much more interested in treating her co workers badly and over charging. I suspect the over charging is because of the automatically added 18% gratuity. I have spent years In restaurant management and I never dreamed of treating my employees or my customers the way this girl did. My boyfriend spent 15 minutes ( of the time we spent aid to play pool ) standing at the bar waiting for her to look up long enough to order fries before he gave up. This person is not an asset to your establishment. Meanwhile you do have staff that is.
⚠️ WARNING- They advertise NO SMOKING. what they mean is, no cigarettes. There were 8 vapors in the room. 3 of them employees. I am allergic and am just now recovering from it today.. the bartender, said they vape in there now. Never had this issue here before. Ive enjoyed going to eat and shoot here several times a month since they opened. However I will not be able to return now. Because of my allery to Pg, a substance in vape juice. If u are allergic as well, please be careful. As I had been in before n never had this issue, I wasn't watching for it, as I wasn't aware they had started allowing it and suffered badly the rest of the weekend for it.
Local bands often play at this buzzing gathering place with a patio & happy hour drink deals.
Potbellys is a great venue in Tally for all 18 and up! We have attended multiple times and for parent's weekend booked a VIP table. So worth it!!! I recommend if you have a group of 8 or more for sure. Service was amazing and high energy. This is a college bar so if you are expecting calm and quiet...not for you. Go and enjoy the atmosphere and experience the college life with your students. A great time will be had. They have live entertainment regularly so check the calendar. Shout out to C & A who helped work with me on the VIP table. Excellent follow up and we were so glad we did it.
The venue to be and stay for a great time. The concert sound was superb! I really enjoyed the different vibes and how they space accommodates all type of people who want to enjoy a great dance music experience!
I’d like to write this update to warn people about this establishment. Maybe it used to be the crown jewel of the gay life in this city but it no longer holds this title. It’s not even a gay bar anymore and the crowd was not even friendly. We stayed there no more than 10 minutes and we left even after paying $10 cover charge. It’s unbelievable that such a vibrant college city like Tallahassee has only one mediocre gay bar (not this one, of course)
i was literally standing and minding my business when a bouncer bumped into ME and then out of nowhere before i could realize what was going on, he aggressively picked me up and dragged me out of the club with no reasoning. I have never experienced this kind of disrespect anywhere before as a woman. He needs to be fired immediately!!!
Cocktails & bottle service offered in a swanky nightclub with a swimming pool & private cabanas.
My 10 friends and I are alumni, in town for the Alabama game. I had contacted the bottle service girl/crew two months prior to the weekend. We booked a table with a set minimum that THEY told us. Gave them a deposit and everything. I was happy to pay whatever the minimum was. I got a call 3 hours before we were set to arrive, literally in the middle of the football game to tell me I was “out bid.” I wasn’t even given the option to pay more. Nothing was clear, so when we arrived not only was the promised table not available, they wanted to sit us in a section where there were literal picnic tables and chairs. There was no private space and it was just a disaster. We said it was just unacceptable and left. “We will give you your deposit back tomorrow.” Just a clown show of a bar….we weren’t their average non paying college kids. We were ready to have fun and celebrate this win. Lol…they missed out.
If you order a bottle and go to the dance floor and leave your bottle on the table, either the waitresses take your bottle or they don't secure your table (or bottle) and it walks away. Seems suspicious.
We came Saturday night I had the most unpleasant experience in the downstairs 10 lounge bathroom. The young lady named Chelsea or some name that began with the letter C was extremely rude to me and my friend. She did not let us enter the bathroom and dragged us outside of the facility. I am writing this review right after this had happened in real time. Extremely rude and physically offensive. This establishment better be careful in the way they handle their customers because I could have brought in the police and files for physical assault. Unacceptable.
I've been here several times and the first couple times were good fun and made for a great night. However, after my last experience I'm never going back. I bought me and a friend a Y-bomb each and when i handed the bartender $20 in cash he said it wasn't enough. I handed him my card and told him to put the remaining cost on my card. He then charged me $30 on the card and when we questioned it he got security to kick us out. If you go make sure you bring cash to buy drinks and ask the prices of a drink before you get it because they're subject to change.
Lively nightspot with 6 different venues for drinking, dancing & live music concerts.
This is probably one of the dirtiest clubs in Tallahassee. The bathrooms are gross and never stocked, every surface is sticky, and the service is slow. I know this is to be expected from a college bar but The Tally Strip takes it to a whole new level. This is an underclassmen haunt.
Horrible staff at the door. Not checking id correctly they only looked at the birthday and let in 16 & 17 year old last night.
Sleek dance club with lighting effects, boasting DJs & live acts, plus bottle service & VIP options.
Best music ever! Best DJ!! So much fun!!
Service and atmosphere was a 0/10. Most of the staff is racists. Made me feel real cornered as a young black girl entering an environment like this. The staff tonight followed me around for $5. I will be taking legal action.
