Broadway does not need a late night rooftop bar. It regularly ignores city noise ordinances and guest DJs aren’t held accountable for their volume. It disturbs the entire block and dining at other venues and is too loud after midnight. Would be better if the restaurant Smoke and this rooftop bar switched and the noise was at least enclosed inside a building.
Hey I have to disagree with the 1-star revue talking about the music. I definitely went to this bar because of the music, and I thought the DJ was doing a great job. Actually mixing and playing old with new. There were people there dancing and having a great time. It’s a cute spot, the location and view is a definite plus. Good vibes, and not too loud. The point is to draw people in. If you don’t like volume, don’t move into a commercial area of a city. And $10 cover is fair.
I usually like the food here. It's typically pretty good, but I haven't had a great meal since before the Covid shutdown. This most recent meal was bad. I got the Luau with a mojito to drink. The Luau is a pork sandwich with pineapple and cilantro slaw. My slaw did not have any cilantro, it was just plain slaw. And the sauce, which I assumed would be sweet, was not sweet but kind of had a little heat to it - it was not what I expected or wanted. The mojito was bitter. I stirred it several times, but it just wasn't good. I left 3/4 of it sitting on the table. The fries were good, and my server was nice. That's the only good thing I can say about this visit.
Turn the music down. There is no reason it should be that loud after 1am, on any day of the week. Let alone weekdays after 8pm when no one is even there. Completely empty. Music is still loud and obnoxious. Sometimes the bartender isn't even at the bar. I promise, no one is going to your bar for the music. So playing it louder isn't getting you any business. If anything all you've done is annoy two whole buildings of residents. Most of the positive reviews on here are for the restaurant downstairs, so don't be fooled. Nobody is even dancing on either weekdays or weekends. There are multiple aparments on the same street. It's pretty clear this place only cares about making a quick dollar, and not building community. But that's their perogative. Your money would be better spent elsewhere. They play the same music every weekend. Every. Single. Weekend. Why even have a DJ? You can just make a playlist yourself at that point.
our waiter was phenomenal and the food was pretty good too! ne prepared to spend but i absolutely will be going back!
