Javier was the best bartender! Ultimate vibes and super friendly. Very knowledgeable about different drinks and his mixing skills were top notch. The other bartenders were great and attentive. We had the best time here, definitely recommend when you are visiting here. Honestly wish we lived here to see him more often. Also, great music! When you think of customer service, this place checks every box.

🌈 Velvet nightclub is my new favorite spot to party at on the weekends! The venue is clean, and has really great sounds and lighting. Their staff are all amazing as well. I always go and visit their bartender Shane, he’s the best!

The venue had a nice, spacious layout. The life-sized pegasus is frickin’ amazing. The dance floor accommodates a lot of people. The stage and DJ booth are lit. The DJ’s were pumping out awesome music. The vibe was fun! Staff were all pleasant. The location is great and parking is easy.

This place was great! Food was amazing, crispy skin fish, tongue tacos, lobster linguine, pork belly, shrimp ravioli and scallops were all delicious. We were here for a 40th anniversary for our parents and the staff was gracious and accommodating. Great cocktails, killer food, awesome vibe and you need to go!

The service was truly exceptional. The moment my chopsticks fell, she swiftly replaced them without making the situation awkward, showcasing her attentiveness and professionalism. Her warm, positive demeanor and thoughtful recommendations elevated the entire dining experience, making the night even more memorable. As for the food--impeccable. The portions were generous, and every bite was a delight. The salad was light yet flavorful, with a perfect balance of sweet and tangy notes. The zosui rice balls were an absolute standout--crispy on the outside, irresistibly creamy on the inside. And the lobster? As incredible as ever. Whether you're planning a romantic date, celebrating an anniversary, or simply enjoying a night out with friends, this spot delivers on all fronts. As a bonus, it transforms into a lively nightclub at night, offering a fun and energetic atmosphere for those who love to keep the evening going. Highly recommended!

ok… YOU 👏🏽 HAVE 👏🏽 TO 👏🏽 GO 👏🏽 IF 👏🏽 YOU 👏🏽 CAN! Bar Leather Apron is a James Beard Award–winning cocktail bar in Honolulu that 100% lives up to the hype! Every drink here is an experience. They’re balanced, creative, and always delicious 🍸They have a 2 cocktail minimum, but trust me, you’ll want more. The bartenders are not only friendly but also super knowledgeable. They display the elements of your drink in front of you and then walk you through the flavors, so it feels both fun and educational. The space is cozy and intimate, but know that reservations are tough to get! (they recently switched from Resy to OpenTable, so keep an eye out or you might get lucky with a walk-in). I’ve never had a bad cocktail here. Definitely worth it! 🥃

Robert E52 months ago

An absolutely amazing experience from beginning to end. The service is impeccable and the ambience was cozy and intimate. The servers and bartenders were personable enough that nothing came across as pretentious. All of the cocktails had a high degree of execution and had complex, satisfying tastes. Justin was thorough in his explanations of each cocktail and his showmanship was refined. I can’t wait to come back, even if it means fighting for a reservation again. The low reviews are a combination of baffling and funny. None of their smoked cocktails came across as overwhelming, and if these cocktails are what you consider gimmicky then you’re better off sticking with plain old fashioneds and Moscow mules at your favorite corner bar. I’m confused as to how so many people saw a classy cocktail bar and thought that it would be an appropriate place to swing by for a quick pregame. There is one bartender making all of the cocktails, and each cocktail is a show unto itself. This place is about relaxing and enjoying the experience. It took 30 minutes for us to get our first cocktails…you ain’t finishing a drink in 20 minutes lol

My first time at this cocktail bar was spot on. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Jenn, who was incredibly sweet and welcoming. I asked for her recommendations on the most spirit-forward cocktails, and she truly delivered. I was a little hesitant at first when she suggested their twists on the classic Old Fashioned and Manhattan, as you can get those almost anywhere. But I am so glad I trusted her. The drinks were expertly crafted and absolutely delicious. Jenn and I got to talking, and she told me all about the bar's inspiration from a place in Japan and the whole atmosphere felt so warm and homey. You could tell the staff genuinely enjoyed working together, which made the experience even better. It’s rare to find a place that feels this welcoming, and I’m so happy I found this hidden gem. I’ll definitely be back.

Finding a tiki bar like this in Waikiki was such a pleasant surprise! Arnold’s Beach Bar is warm, friendly, and has a truly local vibe. The cocktails are strong and the prices are very reasonable. This place is so fun! I loved the vibe and the music is great! The security and management were on point and so funny/ friendly! Every girl here is so beautiful and talented! Each girl has a different look and style and each personality was unique and fun! If you come early around 8pm you get alot of quality time and attention with the girls and I love that! I went every day this week/ weekend and each night had something and someone new to offer! I'd say if you go in plan to spend at least 100 but I saw people ( myself including) spending 500 to 1k and up ! The girls are definitely worth it! I've been to many clubs like this and this one is the most fun by far! I had fun with all of the girls but Veronica is by far my all time favorite

Friday, July 18, 2025 Best place for us old schoolers to enjoy dinner and a show! Located second level of Outrigger Waikīkī Beach Hotel on Kalakaua. Easy access if Uber/taxi drop off in front. Valet available and self parking is off site. Inside lobby, take tiny escalator immediately found at left side of lobby to second floor. Walk toward ocean past a couple hotel stores and Blue Note entrance on right side tucked in a bit. Friendly Host scans ticket and another host walked us to our table. No assigned seating. We preferred the booth since it wasn’t a sold out show and sometimes gotta squeeze in to make room for another couple. Hubby tipped him for the better choice. Floor seating is like luau long tables in front and smaller tables on sides. Mini booths behind them with two steps up to a second level. Cheaper tickets this level but still cozy with good view of stage. Advise to get there when doors open a couple hours before show starts. Able to get dinner, drinks and dessert in a leisurely way. Ambiance is super chill all blue lights with mini spotlights and intimate dinner show seating. Reminded us of old times. Be prepared to wait for server to get to you if you arrive after initial crowds storm in when doors open. But we waited only 10 minutes and service was excellent! She made sure we had constant service without being obtrusive. Never forgot a thing and cashed us out at table before show ended. Sign on table with menu explains minimum spend of $20 pp but since a cocktail could be $18 it’s easy to do. Menu is good- lots to choose from and good sized portions with fair prices. Another card showed a special which was tofu poke and hubby loved it. Nice drink menu too- I loved the What’s Hip refreshing cocktail of vodka soda mint and other sweets combined. Plus a surprisingly good dessert menu yum! We could take our time eating enjoying people watching until show started at 7:00 pm. Leisurely finish our meal and wine while going back in time to our favorite group in a romantic and mellow setting prob because most were old school like us. Bathrooms -one in front entrance and one in back - large, fully stocked and clean! Show ends and we exited out back, used restroom, walked a few steps through lobby down escalator and out onto Kalakaua where our cab was waiting. We will definitely return for more date nights here! Mahalo Blue Note for making it an enjoyable evening!

Visited Blue Note for the first time and had a wonderful time. Will Burkhart was the headliner and food a great job working the crowd. The venue itself was comfortable. Mixed drinks were about $19, beers were around $10. Would love to come back the next time we're back in Waikiki.

I had the best time here the girls were amazing. Much smaller area than expected but plenty of beautiful woman that made up for it. I was excited to check this place out. The cocktail menu looked amazing, the food looked great, and the place itself appeared to be my type of vibe. My friend and I went around 7pm last night and there was no one there to check our IDs or greet us. We were confused on where to go or if we could go inside. So we just hung around outside. Eventually a woman came out and checked our IDs and said the inside was not open yet, but the outside area was. Google had said the place opened at 6pm so we were confused. Then I had asked for the cocktail menu and it didn't exist, but they were selling the basic drinks. As we were ordering drinks, this man asked for our IDs and my friend said the woman already checked them. He aggressively says that he needs to see them, as if he didn't trust the woman who already did so. Then he asked if we bought tickets and we said no and then he said it was 20 dollars for a ticket. His tone was so rude that we canceled our drink orders and left. Tickets of that price to an empty place was ridiculous, and he didn't even say what the tickets were for. Apparently he didn't even work there, and he was some promoter. Super disappointing experience.

It's been 2 years since the last time we were here and we knew we had to come back. One of the drinks we enjoyed the most was the match old fashion. We went to Japan and still couldn't find a drink that was as good as the Social's. It's definitely a drink to try if you like matcha and old fashioned drinks. As for food, their loco moco with fried rice is really good. When we first had it, we were only going to share it between me and my husband. We devoured it and ordered a second one! We ordered it again when we came back and it did not disappoint. We also tried the uni mentaiko pasta and the oyster shooters. Uni is a hit or miss for me and I really enjoyed this uni pasta. It was just slightly too salty. Oysters were also tasty. We would order these again. There's a parking garage with plenty of parking. The restaurant is on the second floor. The restaurant has a bar and plenty of TVs so it's a great place to watch sports and catch their HH. The staff are great and friendly. We can't wait to come back here again when we visit Honolulu.

Hidden gem tucked away on the 2nd floor of Ward Center by Nordstrom Rack, this bar/restaurant has now more parking than where it used to be before at Mccully and Young Street (the old ASB) Popular hangout for me to watch sports and for the late nite crowd as its one of the few places open late. Friendly bartenders and wait staff, great selection of drinks to choose from and now launched a happy hour from 4-6pm Sunday thru Thursday, with discounted food and drink specials. Usually come here 1-2 times a week since the food is straight action. The Social Moco, Fish Tacos, and the Uni Mentaiko Pastas are my go to....the food here is top notch. 5 stars🤙

If you want to play pool all you need to do is sign up on the whiteboard and before you know it, you’re meeting new people. Pro tip though, bring cash to play otherwise you’ll need to use the atm which has a $5 fee. The drinks are fine but nothing special - a typical dive bar type vibe. If you want a lively, welcoming night out in Waikiki, Hula’s is a great place to stop by.

We were told it was free for ladies but males pay. We watched a group of women get in free that were Caucasian, yet when it was our time we needed to pay. The guy that recruited us tied the door man and he was visibly upset about letting us in. He even commented that he didn't want to. We also were skipped at the bar multiple times. Definitely wasn't expecting racism from this spot. Anyone brown or black, I absolutely do not recommend. Spend money with people who respect you!!

All the staff were cool, the security was friendly and great for some chats, the music was epic. Great sound set up too. My wife and I loved the place. I would make this a stop if you are out and want to actually dance and have fun. We didn’t eat here but if the food is anything like the rest of the place I wish we did. Thanks for great service and making us feel welcome when we were visiting.

Perfect music to keep the energy up. friendly and welcoming staff. The bartenders were nice, quick with drinks, (even when it was busy). Security was also respectful and approachable, which you don’t always get at clubs. They made everyone feel safe without killing the vibe. 10/10 come would come again

🎶 Not really for me, but could be fun for club-goers 🎶 I’ll be upfront — I’m not much of a club person, so this place probably just wasn’t my vibe. I only went there for my brother-inlaw’s wedding celebration. The food was average — nothing terrible, but nothing that stood out either. Service was decent, but don’t expect attentive or personalized attention; it’s more of a fast-paced, get-you-in-the-door atmosphere. The overall atmosphere was loud and crowded, which is probably exactly what some people are looking for on a night out. But if you’re after great food, great service, or a more laid-back spot, this isn’t it. If you love nightlife, loud music, and a packed crowd, you might enjoy it more than I did. Not a bad place — just depends on what you’re into.
