Landon was a great bartender, super polite, super funny. Tara was sweet and very kind to the customers. Great bar!!
I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Ella Brown, and she was hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had. From the moment I sat down, she was attentive, friendly, and incredibly professional. Every time I needed a drink, she was right there with a smile and perfect timing. Her energy lit up the bar, and she made the entire experience fun and memorable. Ella’s mix of charm, efficiency, and top-tier service truly set her apart—she’s the kind of bartender that makes you want to come back again and again. If you’re lucky enough to be in her section, you’re in for a great night.
Lots of fun, great food and a super chill vibe: hopped in for trivia night on Thursday and it just happened to be an Ale 8 sampling of PawPaw their newest flavor. Our waitress was friendly and recommended a couple of items, which we got and loved! They had a birthday shot with a sparkler and some very nice concoctions.
Our server, Camille, was absolutely amazing! She brought such fun energy to our table and went above and beyond to make sure my sister's birthday celebration was unforgettable. Friendly, attentive, and full of personality — she truly made the night special!
Warm, mellow eatery serving pub grub classics & bites alongside craft cocktails, beers & wine.
I didn't eat anything, not even sure if they had food....the 5 stars for "food" is for the Smoked Old Fashion! I would drink this all night long every day if I didn't have a liver to worry about. Loved it!
Sean was a generous host and a whirlwind of bartending and mixology; introduced me to the best old fashioned I’ve had in years and some new bourbons to try during my stay in KY. Great little bar done just right!
A range of premium bourbons & craft brews plus live music featured in a historic 1805 residence.
A pretty chill and quiet (maybe it was the night we went) place to have a drink. They also have some popcorn that you can have with your beverage. The selection of bourbon was limited. The bartender was friendly and made sure we got our drink.
Awful experience. Bartender / owners are VERY rude. Place smells awful, what a dive bar. STAY AWAY from this gross place. Not clean at all, every table smelled like weed and was covered in sticky drinks, bubble gum and trash.
Stopped by Georgie’s after our Corto Lima dinner date. The drinks were very good, though the bartender didn’t really seem like he wanted to be there, or talk to anyone…. The space gave kinda *cheap* boutique hotel bar vibes, dark lit with lite colored furniture all in grays. I’m sure this place turns up late night.
I had such a great time at Georgie's last time I went (and every time I've been before)! The drinks are delicious (highly recommend The Force) and the atmosphere is great for having a drink with friends. Very modern yet cozy. The vibes were 10/10. There is also a ton of seating which I very much enjoyed too and the staff was very nice.
The Break Room is a super favorite of the old guys pub crawl. First time there and we saw trash in the stream and waded in and cleaned it up. It's been nice ever since. Meeting the two Santas made me happy for weeks.
Kinda cool idea. Location keeps it alive. After trying a few times before posting…the service is absolutely horrible if even moderately busy. Nothing worse for a bar that doesn’t serve food….than bartenders who only pay attention to their friends. Don’t recommend.
The CATS Den in the Gatton Student Center is a great place for students to meet, grow in relationships, and to gather as friends!
Went to the Gayla Drag Ball in their new space. I highly recommend it.
The ultimate local bar experience with plenty of parking, amazing food, friendly staff and karaoke, trivia and more going on!! Love the vibe here. So glad I ran up on this place. Very affordable and delicious food. The crowd is diverse and I love that about this place too! Trivia Wednesdays @ 8pm. Come win a prize!! Live music and check out the beautiful patio area with a heated tent out there too!
I’m from Indiana and this place is awesome very welcoming, and good ppl also great drinks. To top it off karaoke was amazing. Definitely going back.
This rating is based on category. If you want a proper dive bar with a jukebox (TouchTunes) that’s got stickers and graffiti this is the spot. Bartenders were super friendly as were the patrons.
Seeingthe legendary UNDERGANG at the Green Lantern has been the highlight of my month. Great bands, decent priced beer, will be back for the next heavy show 🤘
Relaxed spot with bar food, craft draft beer & many creative cocktails, plus frequent live music.
Had to make a road trip stop overnight in Lexington and wanted to check out something close to the hotel. I stumbled upon everything you would hope for in a dive bar. The staff was friendly and the two bands were really good. Had a great time all by myself and no weirdos there to bother me. 10/10.
Awesome little hangout spot! The food is excellent, they have a huge selection of drinks, two stages for music (indoor and outdoor) and the people were cool. I'll definitely be back!
Review 8.12.2025 We tried this restaurant for the first time, and the last a couple of weeks ago. I want to start with the very first impression. As we found a table and sat down both our table and my chair were not balanced so they were wobbly. My husband and I could tell this is a “regulars” hangout. The waitress (the only one for all tables) knew many other customers by name. When she was moving, she was hustling but she would stop to chat with the “regulars”. Our drinks ran dry more than once and it took a bit to order. They advertise “All Day Brunch” on the menu but when my husband ordered a Breakfast Burrito we were informed they were out of eggs, which is in all but one brunch item they offer. The menu just says “Chicken”. It does not indicate the kind of chicken, which we found out later were wings. The flavors/sauces were also not listed. After we ordered we had to wait quite a while. A guy who entered 15 mins behind us had his food before we even got our appetizer. The appetizer arrived, and as you can see by the picture, one tater skin had no topping (other than cheese).. The table two over actually ended up sending their meal back but I can’t speak to why. My husband liked the flavor of his wings. My meal was much more underwhelming. I never had a Philly that I didn’t like, until that visit. It was under seasoned and flavorless while the sweet potato fries were over salted.
I had requested my wings to be well done, expecting them to be more like traditional wings rather than mostly drums. Additionally, the service did not meet expectations
Cocktails, craft beer & bourbon served in a woodsy, multilevel haunt with a scenic rooftop deck.
There are very few bars in Lexington that have specialty cocktails that compare to Belle’s! The history behind the building is intriguing! I spent my most recent birthday on their rooftop in a vip section that was delivered with respect and accuracy. Security has always made me feel safe if/when there have been males/females that were overly disrespectful. The staff is as attentive as possible, considering the high volume of costumers they have to serve. If you can handle a high volume bar, with a high standard for cocktails, service, and security, I highly recommend!
VANNY HOPE: I was there the night you posted this, NO ONE in a wheelchair was there that entire weekend. Good try though. Nor would the employees "grab" someone in a wheelchair. This place is amazing! Very friendly and professional staff! No food but everyone knows that and if you don't, the staff will very politely inform you of such and give great recommendations! They will allow you to door dash or bring your own, as well. Security was incredibly friendly and patient. Bartenders are very knowledgeable and make great beverages! 10/10
Huge, long-standing (since 1980) gay nightclub with DJs, dancing, drag shows & more.
The show was absolutely amazing. We did not enjoy the dance floor at all. All they play is rave type music and it almost seems like the type of place you do drugs and dance in. Seemed like people were almost having sex on the dance floor. We literally had some random person tell us they “had sex in the bathroom 10 minutes ago.” It didn’t make us feel safe or comfortable whatsoever. I definitely wouldn’t go here alone, and the drag shows are the only fun part about it.
I attended the fetlife party which was held upstairs in the dance area. Photos weren't allowed and it was my first party but I have to say, I never felt out of place and staff and volunteers were very outgoing and "happy". I had the best time! And I'll definitely be bringing more people with me in the furniture. I enjoyed the "free to be you" vibe!!!
Amazing experience all around. This is exactly what you want when it comes to the higher end gentleman's club. Beautiful girls who have outstanding talent. Excellent VIP / bottle service. Great atmosphere, staff and DJ. Topped off with a fantastic range of private rooms, even jacuzzi. Will definitely be going again.
I’m going to be honest, I’m quite disappointed to be writing this review. I came visiting from out of town and have been to different Cheetah locations nation wide. unfortunately this will be a bad review. For clear context I came into the location around 2pm, sat at the bar. The music was going but no one up and working. The girls were sitting at the bar, two were having conversations with two guys, the rest were just having conversation with each other. I got two drinks in and then bar tender attempted to make some conversation, but that was it. TVs just ran adds and I didn’t want to sit there and stare at the wall for the next hour or so, so I matched whatever my drink cost was as the tip as well and left. I may try this location again in the future, I hope it will be more interesting next time.
My go to in Lexington. 2 dance floors and they play many types of music. Bartenders and staff are friendly
I paid $15 to get in, then I left. I came back an hour before they closed... they refused to let me in. I'm Hispanic from San Antonio Texas, but they considered me white and racially didn't key me in. They looked at me while I knocked on the door and ignored me. I would think we would honor our own race but apparently not... too bad. Don't come here, cause you're not welcomed!!
It was my first time to go to a strip club and went alone so I was a little bit scared. First they told me it’s $20 to go inside and I can stay as much as I want and also they told me it would be nice if I order a drink. From that saying, I felt I can go inside without being afraid but once if I felt sketchy, I was thinking to walk out. First I was just watching for about 2 hours and turned to realize that I had nothing to worry about and started to feel that I should enjoy myself. At that point, I was interested in one of the girls. After a while, our eyes met, and she came up to me and started talking and finally we went to the VIP room. I really had a wonderful time and will come back to see her again.
Pretty good establishment. Sugar was awesome. Prices seemed slightly high even for a holiday/birthday but over all great time. Went for birthday. 7/10. If I return it'll definitely be for sugar. She gets 5 stars!!!
Unpretentious shotgun shack bar & music venue with creative takes on American pub food.
I love their food! Quesadillas are excellent! I got the bbq pulled pork quesadilla, comes with chips and salsa! Tips and tricks: ask for the honey hot sauce on the side and dip your dilla or chips in it! So yummy! See pics below! Bbq pulled pork bacon burger with crinkle fries!! So good! Side of bbq sauce. Street corn quesadilla for $5. Add chicken is $2. Chips and salsa! Monday special all quesadillas $5!
I used to go there for years, and the experience was always amazing. The location is amazing with a close proximity to the University of Kentucky campus. The rusting look in and out contrasts the vibrant, beautiful, music, bands, and beautiful waitresses inside. The employees were extremely receptive of my presence updating the establishment on GoogleMaps. The Tin Roof is a beautiful place with an outside seating area facing S. Limestone. It's a great establishment to relax, dance, and enjoy after a long day at work, or taxing day in class....Big facts!!
Straight up scam artists. First, asked for cheapest shots of bourbon for me and my buddy, which he rang up to $10.50 a shot. I showed him receipt and said I’ve been here many times and never was this their cheapest shot. He shrugged and said nothing he could do. So I pay it and tip zero and immediately take it and we leave. Look at my bank account next day and he charged 25% tip. Might only be $5 but it’s fraud and I charged it back. A few days ago another friend went in and cheapest bourbon was $5.25. So they let their bartenders scam and commit fraud. Not to mention the place sucks.
Absolute WORST bar in Lexington Kentucky. The bouncers were very disrespectful. Will never go there again!!!
I have been here multiple times and this last time I went we got kicked out after sitting down on the speakers? to be fair the lighting makes it hard to tell that they are speakers, had we known that wasn’t allowed we would’ve moved but they immediately kicked us out even though we only sat for less than a minute to literally text people and come to find out someone stole my phone afterwards, i had only been there that night and they refused to let me in to find my phone even after telling them my phone was in there. Come to find out someone ended up taking my phone to another bar which we hadn’t been in and i finally got it back after locking and searching for it the whole night. To clarify I have never lost my phone once because I am always careful and have been in there less sober than i was at that moment, also went to multiple bars after trying to find my phone and surprise surprise i wasn’t that intoxicated and i got into every single one of them.
I understand protocol and rules have to be followed but the security guy did not handle situations very well last night. He was very aggressive and could easily turn a bad situation into a worse one if there was one. By being very aggressive and mouthy and conformational.. My friend was just simply dancing and we were all singing together and the man grabbed him up by his arm and shirt and told him he needed to leave. He shoved him into the elevator and I was trying to sit my drink down so I could leave with my friend and he start mouthing off to me and being rude to me.Like I said I understand protocol and rules should be followed, but a security officer should never be shoving and mouthing off in people’s face when they are being compliant and agreeing to leave we were just trying to get our group together so our friend wasn’t left alone. I’ve never seen someone act like that unprovoked.
