Wow. I have never been to a place like this before. Both the staff and all of the members were fantastic. No loud televisions just pleasant music and friendly conversation. Every town needs one of these.
Google Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We hosted a private surprise birthday party at Man and Oak in Portland, and it was an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with just the right balance of sophistication and coziness that made the event feel truly special. Mike was phenomenal—attentive, professional, and incredibly helpful. He worked with us to set up everything perfectly for the surprise, ensuring every detail was flawless. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the atmosphere, and how seamless the evening felt. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a larger event, I can’t recommend Man and Oak enough. It was the perfect place to create beautiful memories!
This is a great place to visit day or night. We first visited in the morning for great coffee and wonderful pastries baked on the premises by one of the owners. We followed this by a night visit . Bar staff were warm welcoming. Great cocktails and again home made snacks. Atmosphere is chilled and a great place to meet friends. Would recommend the mojotos .
I went on a Thursday in summertime and it was too loud for me. I've been there during slower times and have been able to have a quiet conversation and play cards. They have cake, and it's very, very good. Cocktails are also good and the bartenders are very attentive and kind.
Awesome drinks, cool music and fun environment! Small venue with great service. If you want food you can have a delicious hotdog or popcorn. Not a dinner spot, but you want a delicious cocktail and great vibes, definitely worth the trip:)
Super small place, got there right when they opened and the bar was already full! The bartender cranked those drinks out super fast though and had great quality cocktails on the menu! We met some locals there that said they frequent this bar too, so ya know it’s good!
Vintage-inspired cocktail bar with a maritime theme serving house cocktails & upscale small plates.
Wonderful spot for cocktails! The food was amazing and the drinks were high quality! The service and atmosphere were wonderful. It does get pretty crowded if you have a larger party there may we a wait.
Went in with my very talkative grandpa, and our bartender was super sweet and talked about the shared experience of travel with him. Once we left he commented on how nice they were. The drinks are good aswell, i personally got the “Big in Japan” which has a salty sweet taste to it, highly recommended!
Had a couple of drinks here. Sat outside . Great service and drinks. Great Aviation! Did not enjoy the smell of marijuana from a group smoking in front of the bar though. Not the fault of the bar, but still not a good element for patrons to deal with.
We were recommended by a waitress from Luke’s lobster house to go there. It was absolutely wonderful. The drinks were original and very very good. Atmosphere was cool service was great. Can’t ask for more. We were there for several hours and had a blast. The bill was average so no complaints on that end.
Refined hangout in the Regency Hotel featuring craft cocktails, upscale comfort food & theme nights.
We love the Armory bar inside the Regency on a cold winter night. The vibe is very cozy and the cocktails are always delicious. George makes the best cosmo and dirty martini. Food is just okay but we really go for the cocktails and snack plate!
The Armory Lounge is a classy place located within the Portland Regency Hotel & Spa. We stopped by for some dessert and after dinner drinks. The orange cremesicle cake was awesome! This is a great spot for date night or a sophisticated drink as well.
I’ve been wanting to check Geno’s out for years and finally got the opportunity to do it, it may be one of my favorite venues in the country and I hope Live Nation keeps their filthy mitts off of it. It sounded great, the staff were super friendly, the layout of the space is perfect, I wish we had a spot like this in Providence. Highly recommended
I don't go out to bars too often but always a treat to stop by Genos. Even when I go by myself, the people and the atmosphere is very welcoming to all. There is usually always something going on for entertainment and the workers genuinely seem to be having a great time on the job
Scandinavian small plates & clever cocktails in a minimalist space with a bar & communal tables.
The best cocktail bar in Portland, hands down. Was a little sad at first about the Reno because the old look was so nostalgic for us, but we’ve been a few times since then and it’s grown on us. Popcorn is a definite order and the cocktails are always amazing. Service never misses.
Quiet and comfortable cocktail bar with friendly staff and good cocktails. We also tried several of their food items which were all very good.
Dark, basement speakeasy with inventive comfort food, local beers & an extensive bourbon & rum list.
Super super cool joint. It’s a real hole in the wall. The vibes are good and the music is excellent. I got there around 10 PM for food and they said because of a kitchen staff shortage, the only food they can do is a smash burger and fries, which threw me off guard because the online menu says they have more options. Thankfully, the burger was good, and the truffle fries were killer. I’d come back for sure.
All brick walls in the basement and what appears to be an old hotel. With the charm of a old speakeasy, the sling delicious cocktails. Food was on the smaller portion side, but tasty. Burgers come with a salad but you can upgrade to a couple different options of fries for a modest price of $2-4. But you only get a couple fries that was my only complaint w the food. I also have to agree that the service was lackluster and a little disappointing. The person that served us was unfriendly, curt, and almost rude. The bar wasn't busy and yet it took a very long time to get our drinks. This was mostly disappointing because I saw her just standing around. Might give it another try
Rustic-chic hangout offering a country theme & music videos, plus a self-serve beer wall & bar food.
Bonfire Country Bar has nailed it—free bacon every day from 4–7 PM, plus $2 whiskey, $3 tacos, $4 beers or fries, and $5 burgers. The country vibe, saddle-style seating, and friendly bartenders make it feel like home. Happy hour has never tasted this good.
Best happy hour I've had in years. Cheap beer and $2 shots of house whiskey can't be beat. That whiskey is on the weaker side, but it's smooth to drink. Plus they'll give you a free basket of bacon. It really doesn't get better than that!
Thoughtfully sourced American fare, craft beer, wine & cocktails served in a relaxed atmosphere.
This is hands down the most atmospheric karaoke bar I’ve ever been to! 💎 The vibe is electric, the crowd is alive, and every corner of the place just feels like music. What truly made the night unforgettable was the karaoke manager — incredibly warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy. They created the perfect environment for everyone to feel like a star. I didn’t want the night to end! If you’re looking for a place where music meets magic, this is it. 🫶
This was a little gem to stumble upon!!! Initially we were a tad confused on how to get to the restaurant which was actually upstairs. RUN, don’t walk… to the smash burger!!!! YOU GUYSSSS….. best burger ever… with like homemade pickles? Amazing. The fries and crispy potatoes paired with the star of it all, AMAZING homemade ranch! And a pickle. I already can’t wait to go again!
My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful time here last night!! It was her first visit and my second, and even on a slower Tuesday night the vibe was hot, exciting, and totally worth it to find time to live out our 20s still since being first time parents. The house manager welcomed us with a personal tour of the VIP areas so we can plan for next time, which we definitely will! I didn’t know about a no tank top rule, and he was very kind about it. He offered a shirt to purchase or suggested I put on my jacket, and gave me two gentle reminders when I forgot. The respect they show the dancers was amazing to see, and security was thorough and professional, which made us feel safe right away. The dancers were fantastic. Material was especially chatty, friendly, and fun, and she made us feel really comfortable. Exploring this together as a couple lit a spark and gave us so much to talk about on the ride home 😜 Great experience, and we cannot wait to do it again!!
Rick's caberet was a great time and a lot of it is thanks to our incredibly fun and bubbly waitress. Sonia was incredible! She was friendly, attentive, and made amazing drink recommendations. Her positive energy really added to our night — we couldn’t have asked for better service. Thank you, Sonia!
Elevated bar bites & cocktails in a sleek rooftop mainstay featuring a terrace with harbor views.
Luna Rooftop Bar is hands down the best rooftop in Portland — maybe even the only one — and it’s an absolute gem. The space is gorgeous, making it the perfect spot to kick off a night out in Portland or to relax before a sunset cruise. Romantic, intimate, and peaceful all at once. The food is fantastic. The lobster fritters… holy cow, a must-try! The tuna tartare bites were also fresh and delicious. Drinks were equally impressive — the bramble and bourbon cocktail was perfectly balanced, refreshing without being too minty, and just right for a hot summer day. Between the views, the vibe, and the friendly service, Luna is a blast. Highly recommend if you’re in Portland and want something memorable.
The space and views are incredible. I only had an espresso martini and loved it. The bar menu is extensive and unique. The staff was nice, but didn’t really check on me and I was sitting at the bar. I was impressed on the food options for a roof top bar. Overall an unique space in Portland.
Laid-back watering hole draws hipsters for craft beer, wine & cocktails plus updated pub fare.
Great bar! Came after dining just for a drink on a Sunday night. Looking for a chilled vibe and found it. Gordon was a friendly host and .we enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. Far better than a stuffy hotel bar.
The food isn’t fantastic, but good for a bar. The drinks are very strong which depending on what you like could be a good or bad thing, the pricing is extremely fair. Good deals on beers and shots. The curly fries are killer. Been there twice and both times the music has been extremely loud, the service is eh. Servers tend to hang behind the bar and chat with each other.
High-energy, snug bar with beer plus live music, dancing, karaoke & open-DJ nights.
The best dance club, best bartenders, best drinks, best music. There's always something going on here and its a great place to let loose and be yourself. Whenever I travel to Portland, Flask lounge is always where im ending my night.
Iconic divey whiskey bar. say hi to Bob the doorman for me
Vintage decor & an eclectic mix of tunes distinguish this ’60s-era club with 2 dance floors.
We found Bubba’s Sulky Lounge off Reddit when visiting Maine, and it was such a delight. I have never been anywhere like it! The vibes are eclectic-antique-store-meets-dive-bar-dance-floor, and we loved it. The dance floor was hopping, and we had a lot of fun!
This place feels like one of the classic old pubs with a unique and quirky design. The decor is quite unusual, adding to its charm. The night I visited, they were playing 70s and 80s music, and we danced the night away. It had a great vibe and felt very safe.
Intimate rock club showcasing local & national acts, plus a dance club & sports bar.
Whoever books the events at this venue needs to be fired. You have a night club in the youngest populated city in Maine and all you host is rock cover bands? ITS A NIGHT CLUB. Bring in DJ’s and cater to the audience of your city. Garbage acts for a brilliant venue. Someone please buy out AURA!!!!!!
Great Experience at Aura! My husband and I attended a show at Aura on Friday to see Dirty Honey, and we had an amazing time. The band delivered an energetic, fun, and engaging set that kept the crowd rocking all night long. We were really impressed with the venue setup—plenty of space in the general admission area and cool balconies that gave a great view of the stage. The bar was well-stocked and reasonably priced, which was a nice bonus. The vibe was laid-back and super enjoyable, making the whole experience even better. The staff was friendly, the bathrooms were clean, and parking was easy to find. Overall, the show and the venue exceeded our expectations, and we’ll definitely be coming back to Aura for another concert!
Modern top floor lounge at The Westin for craft cocktails, area-sourced small plates & scenic views.
I had such a great experience here! Claire, the manager, truly stands out. She’s incredibly nice, very professional, and you can tell she works hard to make sure everything runs smoothly. She has a great way of making guests feel welcome and taken care of. The rest of the staff is also friendly, attentive, and always ready with a smile, which really adds to the warm atmosphere. The bar itself has an amazing view of both the harbor and the city. I also love that they have live music, which creates such a fun and inviting vibe. Between the great service, the beautiful location, and the lively atmosphere, this place is an absolute gem. Highly recommend!
I was there for a work trip. And, us guys sat at the bar, obviously. I really just want to shout out to Claire for being the most spectacular bartender/mixologist! She was amazing! I forget the name, but this blue cheese martini! The way she made it, absolutely fantastic and unique, to me at least. Instead of blue cheese stuffed in the olive, it was infused in the vodka. Other, than being able to handle us at the bar, she was truly amazing! Prompt and she knew what she was talking about. Amazing. The Top of the East vibe was also fantastic with city views and sunset views. Just absolutely gorgeous! I would definitely recommend having a drink with Claire and just watch the sunset.
