I discovered Back Yard Baltimore tonight…and what an experience! First, I had the privilege of meeting Gustavo, the resident host, who you can see in the photos. I started my dinner with my first foray into tinned fish- so much better than I was expecting. Then I had (half of) a Detroit style pizza with prosciutto, hot honey and hot sauce that was absolutely spectacular! The vibe of the place was so laid back and welcoming. So cool and looking forward to my next visit to Baltimore to see them again.
We just celebrated my mom's 50th birthday here and the first word that comes to mind is WOW. This place hit it out of the park with their service, food, and drinks. We had about 25 people and the back patio was perfect for our party size. Even in the summer heat, it was shaded and the fans kept us cool. The staff were so kind and helpful even as we were setting up. For food, we chose the pizza, caprese panini, steak sandwich, turkey and brie sandwich, tots, salad, and charcuterie. Everything was absolutely perfection. Afterwards we walked to Camden Yards to catch the ballgame! I truly couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate my mom.
I ordered their double pepperoni and their hazy ipa. Given the price, which was 20ish dollars, I would say it was little bit much. And that's it, other than that their is nothing negative I would say. The pizza itself taste good, but their ipa was something which was good or thing to come back. The staff was nice and friendly. And the environment was amazing. All in all, if the neighborhood, and its late in night, just don't think and visit them.
Our absolute favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. The staff is great and are so welcoming. Peter is the best! Walking into The Dive feels like stepping back in time and we love it. The food is great and so are the drinks. Their dirty martini is phenomenal. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough and so happy to have them here in Canton.
Whenever I come to The Last Penny in Locust Point, it’s always a fantastic experience! The warm and inviting atmosphere makes me feel right at home, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. One of the highlights of my visits is definitely the cocktails. They have a creative menu that features innovative mixes using fresh ingredients, and each drink is expertly crafted. Whether it’s a classic favorite or a unique seasonal creation, I’m always impressed by the flavors and presentation. The ambiance, paired with their amazing cocktails, makes it the perfect spot for both casual outings and special occasions. If you’re in Baltimore, definitely check out The Last Penny. It’s a hidden gem that you won’t want to miss! Highly recommend!
If you’re lucky enough to live in this neighborhood, this is the perfect neighborhood bar! Relaxing, cool, and welcoming to all. Easy soft mellow music in the background, and yes, you can actually have conversation in the quieter back section! The bar keep is a most pleasant person, helpful and friendly. Appearing when you need something and yet not intrusive whatsoever when you’re deep in conversation. Perfect. Interesting and delicious cocktails are on the chalkboard. Two unisex bathrooms available are meticulously clean. Pro tip: drop in soon, because right now The Last Penny is between chefs and outside food is permitted! This rare opportunity allows you to have all your personal favorite snacks along with their amazing cocktails!
I absolutely loved this quirky cocktail bar. The space is small and intimate—tiny tables, low lighting from dim lamps and table-top candles. The range of cocktails is impressive, and every one of them is impeccably made. The music choice is eclectic, and they crank it up when the bar is busy so don’t expect to linger over conversations (at least, not on a Friday night—Thursday night was calmer!) but you’ll have some really unique and tasty drinks. Big fan of the Venus Sunray in particular.
A charming little nook perfect for cocktails and catching up. Cozy indoor vibes with the option to enjoy outdoor seating… Ideal when the weather isn’t scorching. Did I mention the fancy tunes they put on? Love it all
Under-the-radar watering hole supplying handcrafted cocktails in a cozy, 1920s-inspired atmosphere.
What an absolutely incredible space. All of the glowing reviews before mine are spot on. Real candlelight, music perfect at setting the mood, and the drinks? Holy mother-of-pearl are they DELICIOUS. And the bartenders do NOT skimp on the alcohol. If you’re looking for a flavor experience, then THIS is the place to go.
The number 400 marks the door of an unassuming Remington rowhouse with a corner porch, the only indication that you’ve arrived at the right location. Once inside the side door that is the bar’s entrance, the candlelit gloom reveals carefully curated items inside peeling walls -- a condition that made this former contractor blanch and do a double take. The size of the crowd waiting patiently for their drinks is a testament to the speakeasy’s popularity, and the cocktails are creative and innovative. I had a Tutti Frutti, a tequila based concoction that would have turned me off for the name alone but it was very good, not sweet at all. We also tried a pistachio coffee and the drink of the day, both cocktails creatively hand-crafted. The less adventurous of us had a Negroni from the regular menu. Overall, this was a good place to while away the time while we waited to be called to our table at Clavel.
Romantic, literary-themed lounge serving classic cocktails and shareable bistro fare.
The staff were lovely. LJ was our waiter and was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The fried catfish sandwich with bread and butter pickles was so very yummy. the Open Road and Querulous Criticisms drinks had great flavor. Went down to the Green Room afterwards for trivia and bingo night. A very fun evening out.
We came in because we were in awe at their Instagram page. We ordered the constellations ($19) and the daedalian ($17). From the pictures we saw on their page, I think they are worth the price and we were very excited for them. However, when the drinks came out the presentation fell short. Atmosphere was very beautiful and the service was great, no complaints on that at all. But definitely disappointed because we came here for cute drinks and they did not deliver. We didn’t even bother ordering anything else knowing that their two most expensive drinks came to be lackluster.
1920s-style speakeasy serving swanky cocktails and unique bar bites behind an Italian eatery.
If you’re in Baltimore and looking for an elevated, intimate cocktail experience, Elk Room is absolutely worth checking out. It’s tucked away like a proper speakeasy should be, and the second you walk in you know you’re in for something special. First off, whoever runs the hospitality here really deserves credit. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and offered the choice of sitting at the bar or in one of their cozy lounge areas. We chose the lounge, which was a great call—the furniture was beautiful and actually comfortable, the lighting was warm and inviting, and the whole space just felt perfectly curated without being the least bit pretentious. Service was honestly some of the best I’ve experienced anywhere. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and super attentive without hovering. They presented us with their cocktail menu as well as an impressive spirits list. Coming from New York, I’ve seen plenty of well-stocked bars, but Elk Room’s list was legit and clearly put together with care. Cocktails were top-notch. Every drink we tried was balanced, creative, and well-executed. Prices were totally fair too, with most drinks ranging from about $15 to $22. For the quality and the vibe, that felt more than reasonable. One of the biggest highlights was the live music. It added such a great layer to the experience without ever being too loud or intrusive. It felt like the perfect soundtrack to an evening out. Honestly, Elk Room was one of my favorite stops during my trip to Baltimore. It’s the kind of place you want to linger for hours in good company over multiple rounds. Highly recommend for date nights, special occasions, or even just a chill evening if you appreciate a great cocktail in a beautiful space. 5 out of 5 stars for me. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town.
The Elk Room is one of the best bar experiences you’ll have on the East Coast, and a gem in the city of Baltimore. The service is always on point, and makes quality cocktails. The atmosphere is always great vibes and superb ambiance. They have a great food menu to pair with any drink you order.
Trendy entertainment venue featuring a variety of restaurants, bars, comedy clubs & nightclubs.
I've been to this venue a few times now and the most recent being a festival catered for families. It was a fun event with food trucks, performance, and prizes. The overall atmosphere is a chill place to hang with bars all around.
The concert venue was easy to find & conveniently located a walk away from our hotel. Three blocks to be exact. 0.2 miles or a 5 minute walk. We chose to get a Lyft for convenience. We went to the Power Plant Live to see the Never Early Fest. The nearest parking garage to the Power Plant was tricky in that it had very narrow driveway. We got a ride from a friend back to our hotel after midnight, and we notice mirrors on corners used to help prevent cars from colliding against each other in the garage driveway. The car before us on the drive down in the parking garage got hit. It was the first time I ever got stressed in a parking garage, and I was just a passenger. I like how it was easy to find seats outdoors on the second floor balcony with a good view of the main stage, the many & clean bathrooms, and the open air ambience of the venue. Navigating the different stages & areas for different music artists was easy & we were provided assistance/ service with swift efficiency. Some of the stages were indoors at different bars. The main stage was outdoors. The only concerns we had was finding the elevator, the interruptions (people ) & traffic flow blocking concert goers view of performances at one stage area, and not being in a well ventilated areas. We did not eat the food there & only had Diet Coke fountain drinks at a bar. The major highlight of the venue is that we were able to see multiple music artists of different genres on five different stages & places within this concert venue - indoors & outdoors. I would have liked having coffee & white wine options there yet was unable to find them at a bar by the main stage. Overall, we had a spectacular time at The Power Plant Live for The Never Early Fest by Rappolla Entertainment. It was the largest concert music venue we ever went to in our life, and there was very little issues to deal with during the day & night. It really helps significantly to get a hotel room nearby & walk or get a ride to the concert venue. We got to experience many unknown & brilliant music artists and genres at The Never Early Fest - acoustic, 90’s rock, punk, alternative, & folk music - and some of the music artists were from the local Maryland music scene.
Upscale pub fare & cocktails are served in an elegant setting at this local landmark (since 1903).
Brunch on Saturday—we were the first one there! Dark and rustic vibes, super cool. Just a little empty. Got the baked brie and truffle burger with house fries! Friends got biscuits (gravy was delicious) and belvedere breakfast without meat. Everything came out fresh and hot, and portions were generous! This place pleasantly surprised us! Would come again to try the duck fat fries.
Food was tasty, Burger, pasta, Chicken sandwich were all good but what really stood out was the pizza. They had a full brick oven and we had been seated close so we were able to watch them make the pizza and it was delicious! The cocktails were good and properly made. They seemed slightly understaffed so one waitress seemed to be taking care the majority of the room. She was great when attending us.
Family friendly game-day institution serving classic pub grub to the neighborhood since 1988.
The establishment offers a pleasant atmosphere for enjoying beverages and cuisine. The burgers are particularly noteworthy. Furthermore, the fried pickles are highly recommended.
Service was really quick and the waitress was very nice. Great atmosphere, food, and service! Convenient QR code for ordering with menu.
Gorgeous Afrobeats & Amapiano club who caters to the crowd. Always make us feel special on our birthdays!
First time was cool it was a nice spot the bartender was great and the drinks were good. Wished they served food cause me and my crew was hungry after all that dancing. The dj was good was mad he played American music as we was leaving. So let him know to mix it up a bit too get the crowd going. Other then that I'll definitely be coming back.
Intimate bar with vibrant, projected wall art offering a full bar with craft liquors, plus DJs.
I didn’t come to eat, I came for the banging House music and I got my fill. The sound system was mesmerizing with the good Music. This is the first time this year where I danced the entire time I was there. I’ll be back!
We had such a great first time at the Rockwell. Enjoyed a special occasion with my daughter and the bartender was so sweet and super cool. She chatted and laughed with us and made the night even more special and memorable. We didn’t get to see Jack Baracat but still had a wonderful time and made a new friend. Thank you Littelytes 💕
Old-school watering hole in a Colonial-era building, offering drinks, pub fare & live music nightly.
Even though I've lived here 10 yrs, I didn't visit this place until yesterday, but as my buddy is visiting from out of state, we came for an afternoon cocktail- old fashioned. The bartender was great, even when a group of like 12 ppl walked in, he kept everyone taken care of. The ambiance and esthetic (saddle seats, even) give this place such a cool vibe, and the history alone is worth a visit.
We arrived at the bar just as it opened for the day. We were the first ones inside since we waited about 20 minutes for them to open. We planned on going inside and getting a pre-lunch snack due to the historical nature of the building, but we decided to get lunch. The food was excellent, and the bar started to pick up as we finished. The bartender could not be nicer to us, and we really enjoyed the experience. We cannot comment on how it is later in the day or at night since we were not there at that time.
Went to an All Black Party here. Simply a great, very grown (40+) & sexy time, with good service, excellent bartender, DJ & photographer. Sorry, I don't have names. I'll definitely return!!
The food was good. I just wish it was easier to order. The decor was very nice. The atmosphere was lively and fun! An extra bartender upstairs would help make getting drinks faster.Overall I had fun with no drama. It was a good night.
Great place to party and have a good time I attended a house music event ..that was focus on Mental Health Music heals was the theme
I enjoyed the celebration of my Oldest daughter 37th birthday there but I'm used to more club and house music, I would come again but it'll be on Fridays when DJ Kenny K, DJ Titian and Ryan DA Lion is there also would enjoy DJ Boobie to be in the house, Pork Chop was great too but the music started jamming around 11:00pm till closing, but overall great everything, definetly would come again
What a place to visit on a Sunday night with all the jams that you’d want to hear at the end of the weekend. My friend and I were looking for a place to go since she was from out of town. They do say 3rd time is the charm and this place is a total winner. Enter to the chat Ace: security, bartender, hookah maker and independent black owner! This man wears many hats with many talents. The hookah was great with a custom mix that beat the few hookah spots in the area. Most places just have mint but Ace hooked ours up! His hospitality is unmatched and is a breath of fresh air in this city. Highly recommend this place, hopefully when I return I can try the food. Ace you did great with this place loooking forward to stopping by really soon. Come in for a drink or two and stay for the vibes. Made friends, celebrated birthdays and had some trivia this night was a ball!
What an amazing time! Dream always gives an experience like no other. Me and my friends are from out of town BUT WILL BE BACK! Food was good …. We loved the egg rolls. 😍 Music : great mix for all even played old r&b. But my favorite was the guy on the mic 🎤! He really made my friends enjoy themselves. Thanks Dream for making Baltimore nightlife a time to be.
I loved it. It has a different vibe than the other clubs around here. I love the service, especially Sandra Isabel. She provides quality service, is super attentive, and very friendly. She always takes care of me and my friends.
The atmosphere is very good, it's great, good music and great service. Sandra Isabel exceeded my expectations with her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail.
Swanky club in the Power Plant complex features DJs spinning pop & house music plus bottle service.
Sound system is good and the waitresses are delightful. There's some themeing for Mosic on the backside of the bar but then it ends. Would give it 5 stars if they could do a little more themeing or lighting to make more of a club than a bar.
Went there a few weeks ago and saw a new dj DJ augreev. He was great, drinks were great, staff was pleasant. Great time
Cocktails & live music offered in a neon-lit space with chandeliers & an energetic dance floor.
Booked a section on 1/04/2025 for my birthday and paid a total of $568 for 2 liquor 1champagne bottle and 12 ppl admission. When i arrived the bottle girl told me owed $100 for a club fee. “Wasn’t aware of this at all” they make you book section online only. I paid in FULL online she then told him that $100 was due but couldn’t explain the reason behind additional price and told me to come to the bar to talk to another person other than the manager. Before I enter the lounge I should’ve knew it was shady because the security guard was charging $20 dollars to bring a vape in the club. Which they let people smoke hookah and weed inside is beyond crazy. Burn holes all in the seats can’t get a good photo because the section sofa isn’t presentable. overall STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHADY BUSINESS THIS PLACE DON’T ADVERTISE THE CORRECT INFORMATION‼️
Friday night fun!! Had the place to myself for a while and enjoyed every bit of it! Good music! Good wings! Happy hour specials! Great bartenders!!! They even got the hookah for you! Laid back atmosphere with plenty room for a turn up. I will be back!
🚨🚨 PLEASE AVOID THIS CULB🚨🚨 My friends and I had one of the worst experiences at Mansion. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt off—employees had bad attitudes and zero customer service. After partying and in the midst of having fun, one of my friends was suddenly told to leave simply because she closed her eyes for a few seconds. We had barely even touched our bottle (not even 1/4 finished), we were not wasted, and we were fully functional enough to try and have a conversation to understand why this was even an issue. Instead of explaining, the security guard aggressively grabbed her as if she had done something wrong or was threatening someone. At that point, she was physically attacked for no reason. This specific security guard had been eyeing us the entire time, almost like he was looking for an excuse to create a problem. Eventually, one of my friends was even grabbed by her hair, and we were forced to go into defense mode just to get him off of her. You would have thought we were starting trouble with people inside the club, but that was absolutely not the case. In the chaos of trying to pull him off, our purses popped, tracks and hair pieces were pulled out, and we were completely disrespected in front of everyone. The way they handled us was overly aggressive, “manly,” and completely uncalled for. On top of that, they squeezed nine people from our group onto one tiny couch meant for four, after forcing us to pay in advance. Honestly, it felt like the whole “she was asleep” excuse was just a way to kick us out and keep the liquor and money we had already paid for. I’ve been to clubs in multiple cities and countries and have never seen or heard of something like this. Instead of professionalism, the security staff became hostile and dismissive when we voiced our concerns. Even when we called the police, they treated us like we were just drunk girls getting kicked out, which was not the case. Management is just as much to blame for allowing this type of behavior to happen in their establishment. It’s clear there is no accountability, no proper training, and no respect for paying customers. Our night was completely ruined, and this experience was both unprofessional and unsafe. Spend your money elsewhere—this place is not worth the risk. I have attached a picture of the security guard that aggressively assaulted my friend. If you know anything, please let me know.
I booked two sections to host my guest after my wedding for an “after-party” and notified the booking manager what it is was for. I initially asked if the seats are the ones on the floor what we are gonna be given and they basically said “no”. I decided to proceeded with my two sections. For over a week, I repeatedly asked for a photo of the section I was paying for and was never given one. Instead, I kept receiving reminders to pay my final deposit. It’s the day before my reservation once again they sent an exclamation on the text to send the final deposit then I was finally sent a photo of the section, after I asked again, which turned out to be the photo I sent when I first asked and was told it wasn’t. When I requested a refund due to the miscommunication and mishandling, I was told deposits are “non-refundable” and was only offered accommodations that contradicted their own rules and either have us continue with our booking with them or not get our deposit back. This left me with no trust in their professionalism or transparency, and as a business you would expect them to handle things better. This experience felt misleading and poorly managed from start to finish. I would advise anyone considering this venue to simply find somewhere else to go. I should’ve read through their negative reviews first because I’m sure it’s true! I don’t wanna hear from anyone unless I get my deposit back.
