Loved my time here with great cocktails and great live music (cover charge only $5). Took punk prog (gin + triple sec + lemon grenadine) and Saturn returns (coconut based cocktail) and loved them. My partner took creature from the black lagoon (w/ dry ice) and a daiquiri and loved both. The lagoon grew on him as he drank more of it. Would like to see some whiskey/bourbon based cocktails!

The food and drinks were exceptional. I started with the tuna tartare, which was so delicious I glady would have eaten it a second time for my entree. It had just the right amount of spice, excellent flavors, and the taro chips made it a clean dish to eat with clean presentation as shown in the photo. I enjoyed the pork belly starter for my entree, which was a phenomenal combination of flavors and also very well plated. Both starter portions were generous, but manageable. As someone with extensive bartending experience, I must highly recommend the Bruja Morada cocktail. A simple, but incredibly flavorful and well balanced beverage, with only 4 ingredients, counting the orchid that was tastefully used a garnish. My only complaint is that our service felt very rushed, and we repeatedly had to ask for more time, as we were there to enjoy a lovely meal and take our time. That being said, the overall experience was excellent, and I will absolutely visit again.

Soooooo good! The food was good, the service was excellent- and best part was the Halloween spirit! We were there during October 25’ and LOVED it! The drinks come with cute spooky decorations, the desert was a graveyard… you understand what I mean. It was all full of good vibes and fun. But the food and drinks were just really good! A super professional bar!!

We walked into Notch after a long morning or walking around Salem. The Saturday crowds were too much! Notch is tucked away on the water and was busy but we didn’t wait long for food or beer and we found an indoor table no problem. It’s all counter service so we ordered and then were given a number. All of the food was delicious. The wurst platter was the standout. The bartender was able to give a solid recommendation when a beer I wanted was kicked. Highly recommend!

I’ve been going here for 7 years and go at least weekly. This is one of my favorite breweries in existence. They have a fantastic selection of beer and brew some of my favorite brews that are pretty unique also. They do tons of different special events so there’s always something going on. They are dog friendly which I also love. The bartenders are super nice and friendly and the owner is also a fantastic human. Video of when they recently had a Polka fest with live music

On a work trip and wanted to visit somewhere off the beaten path and I definitely found a gem here. The food looked amazing! Drinks were great and it was filled with locals and less tourists which is what we were looking for. The atmosphere was super chill, pub like feel. Would highly recommend if your in the area, just don't be a rude tourists.

This is a must stop for my husband and I when we visit Salem. The food is always amazing and they have a great selection of beer. They have seating inside and when it is nice outside you can also choose to sit outside which we always often do. My husband also recommends the Lobster Roll! He said it was one of the best ones he has ever had! The staff are also super friendly. I highly suggest this place for a great bite if you are in Salem.

The staff is fabulous! They're very attentive, friendly and so sweet!

Sidelines Sports Bar and Grill is my new go-to for game nights! The energy in the place is infectious, and I loved how many TVs there were to catch all the action. I tried their nachos, and wow, they didn’t skimp on toppings — totally delicious! The bartenders were super attentive, making sure our drinks were always full. I did have to wait a little longer than expected for our food, but honestly, it was worth it. If you're looking for a fun spot to hang out with friends and enjoy some good eats, this place definitely delivers!

NOT A PLACE FOR VEGETARIANS / VEGANS. The vegetarian bean burger was entirely made of just rice and seasoning, with a little bit of bean skins mixed in. Very misleading and gross. The picture speaks for itself. They served it and priced it the same as a real beef burger ($15), and did not offer to take it off the bill when we spoke up, though only 2 bites had been taken. Otherwise the waitress was very friendly and sweet, it was just an awkward position. Overall the food quality here wasn’t so great, except for the fries lol

All Souls Lounge is a quirky and atmospheric spot that's definitely worth checking out if you're in Salem. I had the most expensive hot dog I’ve ever ordered — but to be fair, it was massive and definitely more of a meal than a snack. The real standout, though, was the crab dip — absolutely incredible. Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with their house drinks. Speaking of drinks, the cocktails were top-notch — well-balanced, creative, and clearly made with care. The staff really made the experience memorable; they were attentive, friendly, and brought great energy to the place. If you're looking for a place with good vibes, strong drinks, and some elevated bar food, All Souls Lounge delivers.

Small "secret" spot in an alley. Its connected to dire wolf so if you know to head downstairs you'll find the speakeasy. We came in the middle of the afternoon when it just opened so no one was there. A few people came in shortly after. They are fancier drinks and the price shows it. The ladies making our drinks were great.. I didnt enjoy their recommendations though but Im certainly not an expert.

Stopped here on our last day in Salem the weekend after Halloween. As with most of Salem, no reservations, so we hopped in the queue to be seated. Was very cold out and the wait is fully outside so be prepared for that here and at most other food stops. Our wait wasn't super long which was nice. The inside is a little crowded and is typical pub vibes. We ordered the house made curry and fries, the pork tenderloin sandwich, and the burger. Everything was good but nothing extraordinary, just pretty classic pub food.

Ordered take out to eat with someone currently admitted to Salem hospital. It was a Saturday evening 430ish. Called 8 times before someone answered the phone to take my order. I chose this place due to its proximity to the hospital and its ratings (also didnt want to get too far into Halloween traffic). We ordered 2 burgers which were said to be very good (I didnt try them). The Buffalo fingers were ordered in place of them not having egg rolls but they were your run of the mill fingers. Seemed previously frozen but that's most places so no points deducted from my opinion (blue cheese was good compared to other places). Next were the ribs. I dont know how they make these, I didnt see a smoker out back because I had to park on the side street to pick up my order, but they were amazing. Flavor was on point. They fell right off the bone. Not too sloppy and I just wish I had ordered more of them. These were the best thing we ate! I ordered Mac and cheese with a side of steak tips (for my son). Tips were tasty and cooked perfectly. Mac and cheese was juat elbow pasta, not sure if it was processed cheese or not, but it had Ritz crackers on top which seemed effortless on a meal that could easily use bread crumbs or something to elevate it more. It did have a smoky taste to the dish which I liked (and someone ate my left overs so I was bummed out). It was a homey dish and while it may not have been from scratch id order it again. Onion rings on a burger side were just the way I like them. Fat breaded and perfectly cooked. Curly fries were for my son but he was too tired to eat them and nobody tried them. Overall the wait to pick up was 45 minutes. It was dark inside so it seemed like a hole in the wall establishment but with pretty decent food! I would definitely get food here again! I only wish they had dessert!

A person I met in France told me about this place! I had mentioned I like "Dive Bars." My husband and I sat at the bar where Ryan waited on us. She is friendly and made me an excellent Cosmo. We started with their Buffalo chicken egg rolls and shared their steak tips over salad. All was delicious. The place has a pool table and darts, but there was a high top blocking one from being able to play darts, which is a little odd. Their playlist is good too. We will be back!

One of the best dinner place in Salem. After all day walking around parks, memorials, and museums, it was great to sit down and enjoyed some good-quality (and yummy) bar food. The tetris tots is so much fun and tasty, don’t miss it when you visit. The back of the restaurant is a spacious arcade and bar, great vibes from the staff. There was a drag show at the night we visited. Very diverse and friendly environment to have some fun!

Fantastic meal at Village Tavern in Salem. The Banging Shrimp was absolutely “banging” and the tomato oil served with the table bread was delicious. Hubby got the Mac and Cheese which he enjoyed. I left absolutely stuffed. Also, they had Dr Pepper which was a HUGE “win” for me as it’s not common in restaurants in NE. Mary D. was our server and she was DELIGHTFUL! Absolutely delightful.

I enjoyed the food, but is a little pricey for what you get. Burgers come with chips, fries are $3 extra. Most burgers are $15-20. Sandwiches and appetizers are in that price range also, entrees were $25 to $40. Had the garlic burger, which the meat patty was amazing. My wife had the bacon brie burger, which was good she said, but she felt like it was lacking a little on brie and the jam. Atmosphere inside was great. I love the historical photos, stained glass lamps, and old model cars. Was a very cool place to eat, just wasn't overly impressed with the burgers.

Brought my girls to Salem to spread some of their mothers ashes on Mothers Day. She used to lead a camp on Winter Island. We made our way there and I told some stories. We headed into Salem proper to see about some witchcraft and candy. After 20 minutes trying to find a space to park, we pass ONeills. We found a spot up the street. I pointed out the pub as a place their mom would have loved (she may have already known it) and said we should eat there. When we were finished shopping, we headed to the pub. A music circle was in full swing and we felt right at home. We were sat next to a family of five with young kids. Turns out the mom there was sisters with one of my wife's former campers! She explained ONeills was their local and where she met her husband. My girls got up to do Irish Step and were welcomed with open arms. It was a great atmosphere, with caring staff, good food, and cold beer. I can't wait to get back.
