Not gonna lie...when I saw the sign outside that said best gin and tonic the first words out of my mouth were "I'll be the decider of that" G & T are my go to drink. Staff was great when we placed our order! I will have to say it's a damn good drink they make. In house tonic is amazing. It's not the typical tonic it's definitely got a sweetness to it but not over powering. Highly recommend their G&T and if I'm back in the area will definitely be stopping. Also had a few gluten free options for my friend with celiacs!
I'm going to have to keep this short as I have a endless supply of kind words about Hidden King. This place is the definition of hidden gem. The service was absolutely amazing, the inside looks like you're traveling into this super secret club with games at every table. Mark (the owner) is such a chill guy to talk to and very much approachable along with the rest of the staff. The drinks are also absolutely amazing. They have a bunch of creative spins to all of their drinks. If you also don't want to drink they have an assortment of teahaus teas that you can grab too. This place is just such a hidden gem and such a cool place to be. 10/10 - I tell everyone that would listen about Hidden King and how awesome it is.
Four Stars - Creative Drinks, Cool Vibes, and Room to Refine I’d been eyeing 1824 Cocktails and Coffee online for a few weeks and finally made it in this past Sunday. First impressions? The space is beautiful—bright, modern, and super clean. Think tall ceilings, wood accents, and a cool blend of avant-garde and mid-century modern design. Bonus points for the incredibly comfortable seating, which you don’t always expect in places like this. When we first arrived, the staff was a bit overwhelming—everyone was talking at once, trying to explain how things work, and it felt a little chaotic. That said, once we settled in, the experience turned out great. We didn’t order any food this time, but stopped in for drinks and sat at the bar. The cocktail menu is creative and full of fun twists on the classics. I had an Old Fashioned with coffee liqueur that was smooth and perfectly balanced, and followed it up with a vodka-heavy cream and coffee liqueur drink that was equally delicious. They also have a small menu of food options—mostly apps—which I plan to check out next time. My only suggestion for improvement: give guests a clearer welcome and walkthrough of how things work when they first arrive. Oh, and maybe fix the “cappuccino” spelling on the menu and signage—it’s a coffee bar, after all. Overall, this place has serious potential and I’ll definitely be back to try more.
We were a relatively large group spending couple of hours here on a week night. There was only one bar tender attending everybody so it took a while to get our drinks but they tasted really great. The vibe is really cool though. They offer various seating options, location is great and menu offer non-alcoholic drinks as well
I ate at the restaurant next door and the waiter let me know to check out this place - SO glad I did! The drinks are amazing and I love the live music! It adds a great dynamic to the place. And the popcorn.. wow! The flavors are amazing. An overall really great, chill place to hang out :)
The vibes are great and the drinks are unique and perfectly crafted. Sit on the outside patio to enjoy the fresh air and live music most evenings, that you can hear through their outside speakers from the 2nd floor. We love it here!
Local spirits distillery tasting room with barrel tables & stool seating in warehouse-like environs.
DO NOT PAY CASH! They drinks were fantastic but when we went to pay for a party of 4 they said they couldn't make change for cash. I would have understood if they were card only place but they aren't. I only had cash to pay for the tab and they finally relented and took my cash and gave me proper change but I had to pretty much guilt them into it. Which by the way made me feel awful, so thanks for that.
There was a Nigerian food truck which was amazing!! We had oxtails rice and veggies 😋 the venue only serves drinks which are amazing as well! I recommend the revolver if you enjoy Whiskey! Babe had the fox river bramble cranberry which was delightfully refreshing 😋
We don’t really drink, but we stopped for a quick lunch. It’s such an awesome space, with so many seating options both inside and out. We were able to order from a QR code on the table which made it quick and easy. We came because the Bulgogi fries had caught my husband’s attention when scrolling Google for a lunch option. He was not disappointed. Because of allergies, I kept it simple with chicken tenders and fries (from the kids menu, but I appreciated having it available). It made for a quick, cozy lunch on a great Michigan summer day. I’m guessing the drinks are fabulous too, given how the bar was hopping. We’ll recommend HOMES Brewery to friends and family.
Very nice brewery in a good part of the city! Only qualms would be that they took my glass away a lil too quickly and had to ask for another - we had ordered a pitcher, so the beer just wasn’t in my glass yet 😂 AND the chicken Basil fries I ordered came and didn’t have any chicken! I thought maybe it was under the fries but then couldn’t find any - so I said something and they let me keep the chickenless fries + brought me an order with the right stuff!!! I appreciated their willingness to resolve the issue. I definitely would like to try more things on the food and drinks menu, it was all very tasty!
Cozy, stylish bar serving up classic cocktails & many whiskeys, plus local craft beers & wine.
If you are a speakeasy and/or cocktail enthusiast, this is a must. Sat at the bar for dinner and was recommended a phenomenal cocktail by the bartender. Food and ambiance were equally impressive, but the service was undoubtedly the best part of my experience. Because I was on the way to Detroit for a work conference, the staff wrote a list of restaurant recommendations for the city that did not disappoint. 10/10
Joaquin took excellent care of us and knows the menu well. We enjoyed three dishes during happy hour, house manhattans and a proper gin martini. There’s some magic happening in that kitchen!
Stylish lounge restaurant for a la carte & prix fixe menus of Afro Caribbean dishes, plus live jazz performances.
Such a gem! The acoustics were perfect, jazz was the perfect volume and we could hear everything clearly but still chit chat. The musicians were so talented! Atmosphere was like a dream come true. We sat at the bar and I was worried the barstools would be uncomfortable, but they had backs and were pretty supportive. Food was great. My favorite part was that everyone was so nice--from the servers to the multiple regulars who chatted with us, everyone felt so welcoming and genuinely happy we had stopped in for the first time. My husband and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we got complimentary dessert and champagne, it was so sweet. Can't recommend Blue Llama enough!
What a fantastic place. Not a bad seat in the house, the staff was fantastic. They helped me score a ticket to the second show, the headliners were playing two shows. Drink prices very reasonable, and waitresses were very attentive.
Seasonal beer courtyard features local craft brews & wine in the evenings with picnic table seating.
Great spot to hang out, especially on a nice day. The atmosphere is lively with lots of seating and a fun outdoor vibe. Good variety of beers on tap and drinks are reasonably priced. Service was quick even though it was busy, and the crowd made it feel energetic without being overwhelming. Perfect place to relax with friends and enjoy a few rounds.
If you’re in the mood for a place that feels like a warm hug, BBG is the place to be. It’s like church for funny people who love beer. You’ve never known somewhere that feels like a warm fall evening house party like BBG. Bury me in this glorious place, forever a fan. Run to the BBG! Cheers!
Industrial-chic bar featuring craft beer, wine & cocktails.
Has a good collection of beers and is super tasty. But inside the room there’s a strong (bad) smell of some kind of detergent… kinda ruining the vibe. But sitting outside enjoying beer is really nice.
Often come here to people watch. Great selection from fruits to IPAs and efficient service whether with the table qr code or at the bar inside. Can get a bit loud inside and when it's hopping there's little seating (not a bad problem for a business to have..) Appreciate heated covered seating in the tent and lamps by tables.
Ambiance is great. Coffee and presentation are good but there is better in Ann Arbor. The pastries are sub par at best and they will not heat them up. Cinnamon croissant with a chunk of ice cold cinnamon butter inside…trash. Also no food or toasts options. Just basic.
We love this place. Service is excellent and always warm and knowledgeable, the atmosphere is perfect and relaxing, and the coffee is superb. 10/10 no notes!
Popular bar fixing up classic & inventive craft cocktails in a cool, contemporary environment.
I had one of the worst bar experiences here. Not only did we find serious hygiene issues, but the staff’s attitude was shockingly rude. We first ordered two drinks in the evening. After finishing our first cocktail, I noticed a bug inside the ice cube. I took a photo and poured it out to double-check. Right then, the waitress brought my second drink (3rd dry in this order). She mentioned she could make another one but never once apologized. Later, to my disbelief, we found the same issue in the second drink — another bug. When I pointed this out, instead of acknowledging the problem, the waitress started accusing me of “yelling” at her and claimed she never even saw the bug in the first glass. She insisted that their bar was “super clean” and denied responsibility. Only after I demanded at least a refund did she reluctantly say she would refund and felt apologetic for this, in the most insincere way possible, even telling us “the door’s open, you can leave.” This is unacceptable — two contaminated drinks in a row, zero accountability, and a complete lack of respect for customers. I will never come back, and I strongly advise others to think twice before visiting.
Ordered drinks with the QR code and waited and waited for my drinks. 35 minutes I looked around and realised tables were also waiting. Also paid for a tip. Obviously not for speedy service I asked the server why it took so long and she took offence. I would like to hear from the management they are clearly pressuring the staff by over working. I WANT THE TIPP BACK AND YOU SHOULD PAY
Sleek seafood venue that adopts a lounge aura with cocktails, music & dimmed lights after 9 PM.
Great experience. Great food. Great drinks. Newly renovated to accommodate more seating and a bigger bar area. The Honey Miso Steak Tips were incredible, as was the Seafood Penne. Black Orchid Cocktail to pair was a great choice as well.
My husband and I went on a date night for my birthday. I started off with a mocktail and he with a cocktail which were both good. For an appetizer we had the crab dip which was delicious. For the main dish my husband had the fish tacos which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the scallops, which unfortunately were not great-the scallops themselves didn’t have much flavor and the orzo was lumped together and under cooked. For dessert (free for my birthday) we had the crispy coconut mochi tart, which I would eat many times over again. Non-food related, the single stall bathroom was out of toilet paper. I would give it another chance and just not order the scallops again.
Tapas, paella, wine & cocktails offered in a stylish, contemporary space with rustic touches.
Incredible upscale tapas and bar in the heart of Ann Arbor! Just stopped in for happy hour and was extremely impressed at the high level of professionalism, service and skill. The bartender made even classic drinks elevated and the cocktails and wine list were a cut above. Try some of the bites including the dates — could eat a dozen! We will definitely be back!
The food was very good. We ordered several of the tapas, I would have preferred several of them be delivered together. Each was delivered individually. Multiple servers waited on us bringing food and clearing plates. Sangria was very tasty, atmosphere was very good, music might have been a little loud to hold a conversation as I was sitting across the table.
Choice speakeasy-style joint for farm-to-fork American-fare small plates & old-fashioned cocktails.
I came here on a Saturday around 8pm, it was busy but not overly so. There were a lot of empty tables outside. We were sat quickly, and it took quite a while to get a drink, and even longer to order. I got a tequila drink that was not great and I didn’t finish it. I also got a house salad the smash burger which was definitely not smashed just cooked. We also got the hush puppies which were good.
Make a point to stop here if you love cocktails! We were in town for a quick visit with family, stopped by for a quick drink, and were not disappointed. Our bartender took care of us that afternoon, and we were made to feel like we were family. Apparently, he was responsible for 8 of the seasonal cocktails, so he's got one hell of a palette, because they were all great! Get the truffle fries with everything on them (so good we got them twice!) 10/10 experience, we will be making a point to stop here again when we're in town!
High ceilings give this happening spot with over 70 beers & a comfort food menu a lively vibe.
Arbor Brewing is a great place for tasty beer and scrumptious food. Was visiting town and came here for a Monday lunch and beer. Stayed for over two hours in this nice space. Great service from Mo and the bartender. Definitely a 💯!
tuna ahi poke bowl was pretty good, I think their tuna was pretty fresh. They included a side of soy to drizzle. Wouldn’t pour the entire cup though… but pretty good flavor overall
I am so excited we stopped in. Food was delicious. The decor is outstanding. Outdoor seating ,Basement set up is perfectly done. Highly recommend. Tons of specials as well.
This is a cool place! I have not been in the building since the old owners and wow it's all brand new! This place seems fun and I look forward to going here much more!
Upbeat watering hole featuring local beer on tap & a menu of hearty sandwiches & Southwestern fare.
Cute little bar. Service was great. The food had no flavor. I was very disappointed with food. I was very excited for the bruschetta but it was not what I was expecting. Usually it’s served with bread not chips. The chips had no salt on them. The steak tacos had no flavor either nor did beans and rice. Then I was over charged for the bruschetta. The menu stated it was $11 but was charged $15. The waitress did get that corrected.
This is a nice little place to have some beers and some food in an easy going atmosphere. I ordered a vegetarian Tempeh burger with additional fries and cheese. The burger was really delicious, I especially liked the patty consisting of fermented soy beans and rice. Also the fries were ok. And I drank a kind of wheat beer that went well with it.
Boisterous hangout lures locals with its craft cocktails & cold brews served in a hip atmosphere.
Please bring back the guys with the cube on weekend nights! This was an aspect of character at the bar that we really valued, it made the place unique. Love the drinks and general atmosphere here but this has definitely kept me from coming back more often recently :/ Also miss the couch that used to sit near the entryway! Would’ve been 5 stars prior to that switch up!
I would give a 2 star only because mixologist was complaining about how busy it was and did not want to check what customers are asking when it comes house favorite cocktails. “Sorry we are busy to help you with it” was the response. Ambience was good.
High-end, underground lounge offering martinis & single-malts, plus pool tables & HDTVs.
Absolutely amazing! I went here for a birthday celebration and had such a great night. The atmosphere was perfect, the service was friendly and attentive, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. It really made the occasion feel special, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!
Was once a good place, but the bartender was incredibly rude, being condescending and decided to ignore me and walk away while i was asking a question about how pool worked. Many superior options with competent and nice bartenders in the area. Would recommend those instead! 8ball, circ bar and bill's are great. If you want to feel respected and feel like a decent human being try those instead.
Ok, out of the gate I have to say this place has the best cheese curds I've ever put in my dirty mouth. They're so good I'll probably file a lawsuit demanding the recipe Monday morning. Overall I was pleasantly surprised as most breweries just serve food to be serving food but this place did not disappoint. The ribs were very good and the short rib mac and cheese was excellent! Oh yeah, and the beer, great stuff also :-) I had the steelhead red.
COREY!! Thank you! Hopefully I spelt your name correctly! Thank you for your wonderful service man! I appreciate you! The food was dank! Atmosphere was top notch! Beer was AWESOME! I would recommend this place to any and all! Some of my family is in town for the show tonight at the Blind Pig! We got lunch here! Glad we did too because everywhere else was packed! They were so happy to have us. I got a pizza with my mom and it was so good. It was the garlic + onion and the cheese on it was WILD. My brother in law got the Walleye, sister got the Butter Milk Chicken, and her friend got the Tree Town Cob! 10 out of 10! Would recommend. Thank you for the wonderful food and service!!
Family-friendly bowling alley with open & league play plus attached restaurant & sports bar.
This is THE nicest Bowling Alley I've ever been to! They have massive tv screens above the screens, their rental shoes are basically new. Their pizza is pretty good, it's a little tough finding the right weight ball and finger hole sizes but I rarely bowl so I just try to adjust to different sizes. The staff is really nice too. I'll definitely be back.
Had our company outing here. Everything was great. Food, lanes, arcade. Enjoyed by all with lots of positive feedback from our staff about this venue. Can't wait to try more of the food offerings we couldn't include this time. Staff was very helpful and supportive throughout booking and the event itself. Will be back.
Traditional Irish pub built with imported wood & stone features regular trivia nights & live music.
I got a shepherds pie. A dish I often love. This was one was certainly good. It had a bit more sauce and cheese than I’d expect on a shepherds pie. But the filling/potatoes ratio was great! Definitely delicious. Very big. Could easily be split between two people if not super hungry.
This is a great sports bar which has all the major games on the TVs so if you want to watch a game with friends, I highly recommend this place. Their food is also great and they have outdoor seating on the weekends which makes this place a lot of fun. I also tried their chocolate cake and we all loved it. Their service is also top notch, extremely kind and helpful.
I come here at least once a year, and it’s hands-down my favorite dining experience. Cooking your own steak on a sizzling volcanic rock never gets old—it’s interactive, fun, and the flavor is unbeatable. The prices are incredible for the amount of food you get, and their French onion soup is an absolute must-try. Honestly, everything I’ve ever ordered has been delicious. Be prepared to go home smelling a little smoky, but it’s more than worth it. Just know you’ll leave stuffed and probably rolling out the door!
Black Rock Bar & Grill was an incredibly unique place to dine at. We knew it was a steakhouse when we chose to eat here but didn't realize that you had cook your own steak at the table on a hot stone. It was a very cool experience and the food overall was great!
Neat little spot. 5 dollar cover. Had a speakeasy underground vibe to it. Bartender was super nice. It turns into like a dance club at night, which was stupid. I had absinthe the real way and really enjoyed that and it was only like 9 bucks. The drinks were super affordable.
The Rabbit Hole is a beautiful speakeasy with a great atmosphere. The bartenders are super friendly, and we had the chance to taste several whiskies. A wonderful and unique experience!
Easygoing hangout with a patio offering pub fare & local craft beer on tap, plus trivia nights.
We went there before the Zach Bryan concert on a recommendation from a friend. I am so happy we did. Everyone was very attentive and friendly even though it was super busy. I was taken care of better by the staff as busy as they were then an average night at any other restaurant. The food was amazing as well. Keep up the great work!!
They serve alcohol, staff is friendly but took a while to come see us, they have a scan to use menu and guest wifi so you can view the menu but don't share the wifi code. The food came quickly enough, however the burger we received were all ordered medium, they arrived unseasojed qnd so well don't the meat was crumbling. The fries are ok, but taste mildly like fish for some reason, the burgers say "half pound" but each of our burgers were a different size. Overall I would rate the burger combo a 3 out of 10 and feel generous about that rating. I will enquire if this is their standard or just a one off, I will give this place a second chance and change my review if the quality improves
Longtime watering hole & live music venue featuring diverse bands in a snug, unpretentious setting.
came here to see wasp eater and olive klug and had a great time! a great atmosphere with a decent amount of seating with excellent views of the stage. definitely one of my favorite venues now and hope to be back in the future.
Is the iconic spot in downtown Ann?Arbor. Many players come here to play well-known some not so well-known.Go see a great show.Enjoy the history
Century-old space with stone walls sets a warm tone for site-made craft beer & a seasonal menu.
Food was wonderful! I had the chicken sandwich and it had a nice crisp and delicious sauce. I also got the beer-battered fries with the garlic aioli dip which was great! However, I wish the server would have given us just a little more attention. It wasn't that busy, and they never came by to refill waters or ask how we were.
Wow this Smash burger and Steelhead Red ale is delicious! The beer is brewed here, tastes very fresh. The service staff is very friendly and professional. Seems pretty busy and Grizzly Peak Brewing Company is celebrating their 30th anniversary this year!
Comfort food & cocktails served in a hip, industrial-style space with a rooftop deck & sunset views.
We had the honor of hosting our wedding reception at the Circ and Rabbit Hole this summer and had an incredible experience all around. The events coordinator responded to my many dozens of emails answering questions and giving me suggestions of how to plan the best day... And it certainly was just that! The food (provided by The Circ) was fantastic, especially the steak. The bar was incredible- a thousand times better than your standard wedding bar, and the ambiance was perfect. I could not recommend this place and these people any more- it is an EXCELLENT wedding venue.
Hailey was the best bartender ever! Customer service is everything to me and Hailey made me feel right at home. I will definitely be back, thanks to the experience I had at the bar. And she keeps smiling no matter what’s going on in
We went out of our way to come back here this year like we did last year for my friend's birthday, had a great time planned arts and getting children's and having a great time. Also really nice to listen to the music from upstairs
Extremely horrible experience, bigoted and homophobic. Kicked me out and told me to leave just because my friend was kissing another dude, outside of the bar, before we even came in. Completely unacceptable
Stopped in for some beers and apps. Fried pickles were good. Kids ate all the mozzarella sticks so those must have been really good. Lots of TVs and games for the kids. Decent spot. Plenty of food options and drinks. Large menu printed on copy paper.
Fun spot! Came to watch the Um v OSU game , staff was great, they were hustling and working hard. Food was good, enjoyed the wings and chili cheese fries. Wings were great, loved the blue cheese sauce! Prices were good too. Good spot on Main Street!
Casual indoor-outdoor canteen with multiple TVs, daily specials, karaoke & trivia nights.
Excellent staff super positive. Only bar that has Happy Dad Death Row Grape in town! Met Steve the general manager who is making sure everyone is taken care of!
We went there for drinks on a Sunday afternoon after game day It was quiet but the NFL games were on and we sat in the patio. Service was great and the beer in tap and cocktails were really good. They have daily specials but we just went with what we wanted.
Busy Irish pub offers a jumbo beer list, microbrews, scotch aplenty & eclectic grub.
I’m hoping that our experience was due partly to the art fair but I’m pretty sure this is meant to be a bar for the college kids in town. Went in for the “lobster roll” and was VERY shocked to receive what appeared to be a couple pieces (maybe one small lobster tail worth and that’s being generous) of lobster in something the size of a hot dog bun. Asked for it hot, it was warm with cooler pieces like it had been microwaved. NOTHING CLOSE to the picture on the menu. It came with fries, which were room temp, dry pieces, stuck together that were over cooked or had been sitting under a lamp. Asked for fresh fries since the meal was $30 and received another serving of the same batch within a couple minutes (not fresh). My drink was ok but the food, never again, not for the price. This is obviously another overpriced downtown restaurant meant for drinking and maybe typical bar fare but the lobster roll was embarrassing. We didn’t make a fuss because it was hot, humid and we were very hungry but we definitely left still hungry with a bill of $100 for two appetizer size meals & one alcoholic drink and a regular drink. Ridiculous. Do not order the art fair special because all you’re getting is what seems like a bad joke. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
Pre ok, not bad to snack on during trivia. The fries are good, but I’d skip the poutine it’s just soggy mush. I don’t know what wrong with me but I lowkey liked the buffalo cauliflower wrap better than the chicken. I got a soda and waiter was on top of refills 💯
Irish & American food are offered by this lively pub featuring 3 bars, lots of TVs & karaoke.
My son and I stopped in to grab a bite to eat. We both ordered different corned beef sandwiches. My son had ordered the larger sandwich, which was priced the same as what I had ordered. When they arrived, I was actually a bit shocked to see the size difference between the two. My sandwich only had a few slices of meat versus the absolutely mound on his. I wouldn't have cared much, except were the exact same price with no additional items for the smaller one to compensate. Had we not ordered the same thing I would likely had not noticed or even said anything, but the side by side comparison was hard to notice. The only other issue was the sheer amount of oil(butter?) that was in the sandwich was so overwhelming it was hard to eat. After it started getting a little cold, it was unappealing. I spoke to the waitress, who asked the manager to come over regarding the issue. I wasn't upset, but genuinely curious as to how the restaurant could charge the same for these two hugely disproportionate items. I wanted them to be able to see the sandwich size difference, since a visual reference helped. From our seat, I could see the manager's reaction to the waitresses comments. The manager went back to the bar and finished her conversation with the people at the bar, cleaned up and after about 10 minutes came over to resolve the issue. The manager explained that while his order should have had double the size, it shouldn't have been this big of a difference. She removed one sandwich from the bill and did provide a gift certificate for future use, but this wasn't really what I was looking for. She didn't address the question, which is how the restaurant justifies charging the same amount for two different amounts of food? This was just sort of shrugged off. Whether it's double or triple the size, that's a huge difference that someone setting the two meals side by side will question. Maybe it wasn't originally supposed to be that way, and someone who doesn't know the food served or the restaurant created this menu and price. I will use the gift card provided to visit them in the future and see if they have resolved these small issues.
Came here tonight. Sat at the bar. Can’t remember the bar tenders name but I had the best time. Great conversations while the bar was a bit slower tonight. Will come back for the conversations as well as the casual drink.
Dance club with smart causal dress code, patio area & live DJs offers frequent theme nights.
This is hands down one of the best dance clubs in Ann Arbor. If you’re looking for a lively night out with great energy, this is the place to be. One of the things that really sets it apart is the multi-level layout—each floor offers its own vibe and music, which makes the experience dynamic and fun. Whether you’re into top hits, hip-hop, or electronic, you’ll likely find a floor that suits your taste. The drinks are well-made and reasonably priced, with a solid selection to choose from. Bartenders are quick and friendly, even when the place is packed. The crowd here is another major plus—diverse, upbeat, and just out to have a good time. It’s easy to meet people or just enjoy the atmosphere with your own group. Overall, it’s a great spot for dancing, socializing, and soaking in the nightlife. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Ann Arbor, this club offers a vibrant and memorable night out.
The music is horrible (unless you go around 10 PM but no one is there at that time). The only seating is in the lower levels but it's almost always full and smell heavily of weed. I've had more fun dancing in a parking garage than here. There's also a $30 entrance fee for anyone 18-20.
Campus pub founded in 1936 serving Greek food & decorated in hometown college football memorabilia.
This is, of course, an iconic place for any of us Michigan grads. I haven’t been there in years but we stopped by when we were in town for lunch. Very nice to see it uncrowned as when I normally go there it is on a football weekend when it is packed. Who knew that Steve Breaston was a fan of pulled pork and that Bo’s burger was with fried onions on sourdough rye bread. Very nice lunch spot and great stuff on the walls.
I recently went to the Brown Jug with my fellow U of M alumni and I couldn’t be more regretful. The bouncer (black) immediately made racial remarks towards my fellow alumni and me (Asian Americans).. He went on to tell us we didn’t belong here and had no place in this town.. It sickens me to hear these words and I would like to contact ownership immediately. As a donor to the school this needs to be address asap. Thank you.
Relaxed tavern offering brews on tap, an open-flame heated bar, sports on TV & pub snacks.
Trivia with Julie on Wednesdays is always a fun time and Danielle is an exceptional bartender! We always make some great memories when we’re there!
Server treated herself to a 20% tip without consent. Go anywhere else and have better time for less money. Scam, don't waste your time / money.
My organization has had countless happy hours here. The late afternoon/early evening vibes around the firepit while the sun sets are perfect for gatherings like that. Special shout out to Yuki, who always gives us stellar service with a smile and, at this point, feels like a member of our team. We'll keep coming back.
Slounge kicked my friends and I out at the bar crawl on Wednesday night for literally touching a sticker on the wall. They were super rude except for one security guy, and there were maybe 9 people in the bar including us. We did nothing to get kicked out and the management was treated us terribly. Blep is fine but I won’t be returning to slounge! :))
Straightforward nightspot offering live music, DJs & a dance floor, plus beer, wine & cocktails.
Atmosphere is great the dj is good every time there is music for everyone to dance to I love the Latin Fridays absolutely recommend !!!! I’ll be careful with the drinks, I got sick.
The bouncer checked my friend's ID and had no issue with it, then checked mine and went to look at it under the blacklight. He came back, insisted that it was fake, bent it in front of my face, and then when I told him to give it back to me, said he wouldn't. I had to CALL THE COPS on this POS, because he wouldn't give my Driver's License back. The cop came, told him my ID was real, and made him give it back to me, and the COP apologized to me. Hopefully this man has been fired. Btw, I'm 28 years old, and this has never happened--because I've never had a fake ID in my life.
Lively bar & grill offering Mexican fare plus late-night dancing with DJs & live musicians.
The vibe here is not good. Nobody here, mostly dudes, and the DJ played the YMCA for some reason. We left quick. My frat had better parties.
If you’re in Ann Arbor and haven’t been to Cantina yet… you have to check it out! From the second you walk in, the vibe is unmatched. The staff is super friendly, the service is fast (even when it’s packed), and the food is delicious too. They always have the best DJ’s that keep the energy up all night—perfect mix of hits and hype tracks! Shoutout to the bartenders—always holding it down with great energy, fast pours, and making sure everyone’s having a good time. Whether you’re grabbing food before hitting the dance floor or vibing with friends in the electric atmosphere, Cantina is hands down one of the best spots for 18+ in AA. It’s easily one of the top places for college students and young adults looking for nightlife in downtown Ann Arbor. Every time I go, I always have a night to remember!
Boisterous hangout featuring draft brews, American plates & many sports TVs, plus DJs & dancing.
I met the love of my life at Scorekeepers Sports Grill and Pub. It was a Tuesday night, and in the wake of a recent rejection from transferring to the Ross School of Business I strolled in planning on drowning my sorrows away in a mimosa (with a garnish of rosemary). As I took my first sip, I looked across the bar and noticed her. She was deep in conversation with the 2 people who accompanied her, often laughing in between exchanges. I noticed the shirt she was wearing featured a joke regarding the complications between aggregate demand and supply, which was exactly what my undergrad thesis was about. I was astounded. In my trance, she spotted me staring off in her general direction, and I grew beet red. How could this night get any worse? They exchanged giggles and I decided I had nothing to lose. As I walked over she sat up straighter and fixed her hair, and I wanted to die. After introducing myself, it all came easy. The conversation flowed by so fast 20 minutes went by in the blink of an eye. Before we knew it, 2 am had arrived, so we scampered out of the establishment. We headed back to my place to have some fun, and you guessed it, discussed the implications of the 2008 Zimbabwe hyperinflation for hours on end. It was perfect. She’s laying on my chest now as I write this. We’re going to name our first child “Skeep” after Scorekeepers Sports Grill and Pub. Thank you.
I ordered the steak medium rare! A perfect medium rare it was! So juicy and well-seasoned. Will be going back for this fine dining experience!!
Hopping dance club open 3 themed nights a week & featuring local DJs, bottle service & VIP areas.
My husband Scotty hit is off with Mike when reserving our booth this past Saturday. Our waitress was a very nice young lady and kept drinks flowing, drinks fantastic and the DJ played a variety of music which was great has everyone up and dancing!! 💃 THANK YOU FOR A GREAT NIGHT!
Live is a venue with a lot of potential but falls flat because of the DJs. When it's good, it's amazing - but their house DJ is just not good. He plays music nobody knows and he isn't crafting a set, he's letting the same song that nobody knows play for 3-4 minutes. I'll sit outside and wait for a song I like so I go back in and it won't come. New DJ time because I want to love this venue and I can't when it's ruined by the music. The DJ they had after midnight on Friday August 1st was AWESOME though - bring in somebody knew and let Kevin retire!!
I’m visiting from california and the guy that checked my ID was very rude and drunk and told me they don’t accept out of state ID. Ruined my experience visiting.
According to Ann Arbor's noise ordinance, no music or noise can be heard beyond a property line between the hours of 10pm and 7am, meaning that clubs are not permitted to produce audible noise outside their building during those times; violations can result in fines up to $500 per offense. As well as — Property line rule: Noise must not be audible beyond the property line of the club. I live a block away and can hear everything, the base rattles my windows. ITS A THURSDAY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. I have a 8am class. But here I am writing to you at 2:05 am. So I will personally call every day costing you $500 every time — or you FOLLOW THE LITERAL CITY ORDINANCE.
