A Dining Experience Elevated by Outstanding Service from Jenny: From the moment we walked through the doors, our evening was made unforgettable by the warm and attentive service provided by Jenny, our server. Dining out is about more than just good food — it's about feeling welcomed, cared for, and relaxed. Jenny delivered all of that and more. She greeted us with a genuine smile and immediately made us feel like valued guests. Throughout the evening, she struck the perfect balance between being present and giving us space to enjoy our meal. She was knowledgeable about the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and answered every question with patience and enthusiasm — you could tell she truly cares about the guest experience. Our drinks were never empty, every course was timed perfectly, and special requests were handled effortlessly. What stood out most was Jenny’s warmth and professionalism; she turned an ordinary night out into something special. It’s rare to find someone who elevates the entire dining experience just by being themselves. If you're planning to dine here, ask for Jenny. Her service alone is worth the visit.

We ate here for an early dinner. It was the first time dining here; I liked it. Full bar with food. The menu has limited items with decent food. The food was a little pricey with the atmosphere cozy. The server / bartender was great. Chicken Fajita and Italian Sub

The REO town pub is the best bar in Lansing—scratch that—the world. Don’t believe me? I’m sorry, you know a different bar that has hand carved wooden spoons for sale in the back of house? How about steak night on Wednesdays? What about the drink-it-forward board? Grow up. Grow up and order a hotdog, to go with your complimentary popcorn. I didn’t even mention the bartenders? Grow up. Five stars.

Tom Hedge54 months ago

First time in the pub and Mary and Marcus treated me like a regular! When they found out it was my 1st time in Lansing they provided me with many insights into the city and even mapped out an itinerary for me. The beer and bourbon selections are great, the food from the BBQ place next door was excellent (they even brought it to me in the bar when it was ready!), and the conversation was the best part of my visit. They even treated my Scottie (Cash) like one of the family. This place is a gem!!

The whole experience was great. They were able to accommodate our large group in the bar area. We went at a perfect time, there was literally zero wait. Everything was great. The food was made to order from scratch, even the kids chicken tenders were made from a batter! The sushi, hibachi, burgers, wings, Mac and cheese were honestly delish. The only complaint was the nachos and loaded fries were extremely spicy, but still good overall. Great options for my vegetarian, and she enjoyed her dish. The adult beverages were fantastic! The variety of beers was a nice touch. Parking is tight, and located on a very busy street. Overall will definitely be back when in East Lansing.

Stopped in on my way out of Lansing for lunch. The service was prompt, initially, and I got my beer within a couple minutes of sitting down. The beer was cold, though I wasn't a fan of the flavor, no problem there, though. My second beer choice kicked a few seconds after pouring, so i had to go for the third option. Alright, it is what it is. I ordered the chicken tikka masala with naan. It was tragic. Like a non-Indians first attempt at tikka masla at home, from a recipe they found on an online blog posted by someone who wasn't Indian. It was thin, with big tomato chunks, unmarinated strips of chicken instead of chunks, the wrong flavor profile from the spices, wrong color, and the saddest naan I've ever seen that would have been better from Walmart. It was also accompanied with plain white rice. Not even basmati. I've been to every corner fo the USA, and I've ate Tikka Masala in more cities than I can count. This was the worst by far. BY FAR. Also, at $21, it was one of the most expensive tikka masala's I've ever had, and THE smalles5 portion I've ever had. I took 3 bites, pushed it to the end of the bar, and 10-15 minutes later the bartender asks: "Do you want a box?" I laughed and asked for the check.

According to the menu and online reviews the place is over 100 years old. It is a nice neighborhood bar. As some reviewers have said service could be more enthusiastic but that doesn't mean they aren't friendly. It would be nice to have a sign at the front saying please seat yourself. It seemed like a family owned kinda place to me. As for food I tried their Greek burger and I thought it was just average but not bad. The best thing truly is the pretzel bread with cheese. The pretzels are long and breaded unlike typical "bites" which tend to dry out and get chewy. These came out hot and could be picked apart like monkey bread and the inside was soft and delicious. I'd get those and a beer for snack sometime as it is worth it. I also like the glasses with the name of the place on it. It is old fashioned and classy.

We recently had my daughter’s bridal shower at Cleats and it was perfect! Mavia was so wonderful to work with from planning through the end of the shower and the staff was very friendly and helpful as well. They even brought out a cart to our cars and helped us unload all the things for the shower. Julie, the owner, was so friendly and did an amazing job on the charcuterie board we ordered. It looked fabulous. The turkey bacon BLT’s were delicious as was the Caesar salad we had. Thank you Mavia, Julie and Cleats staff. I would highly recommend Cleats.

I have attended a few current weekend nights. Just as a pool player ($2 a play) and visitor to Lansing. The staff and service is beyond impeccable. Inviting, aware, helpful.. i literally cannot say enough good things about how well the staff runs this place. The food... I swear you would never EVER think it, but the food here is not only insanely good, it comes in easy to eat and ready to go little bowls. On to the... entertainment? Hey.. lemme just say this.. after 9:00pm on the weekend, it's "Lansing Entertainment". I am only saying this as someone who's not local to the area. Will continue to return!!

My wife and I tried LeRoy's for the first time. We both had burgers and fries. She had the mushroom burger with grilled mushrooms, and I had the double cheeseburger deluxe (2 patties of beef were more than enough). Both burgers were great! The food came out hot. The Old Fashioned cocktails were wonderful. The staff was helpful and friendly. We will check out the enclosed porch the next time we visit.

Micdevero42 months ago

The food was good, we both got different burgers and fries, with cheese sticks for an appetizer. The server was very very slow to come to us, when she did she took our order and disappeared again for at least 15 to 20 minutes before checking on us for ordering out entrees after we received our appetizer, which was brought out by kitchen staff, who also brought out the burgers and fries we got. Drinks were left empty for long periods of time and empty glasses and cleared off plates/baskets were left on the table after the few times our waitress did come back. The place wasn't that busy inside, with several empty tables around the area, and the other tables our server was handling were also barely checked on as well. They had a trivia night which was alright, fairly short and a decent random selection of questions. Most of the people eating there seemed to be having a good time and it was a pretty good atmosphere.

I’ve been coming to Urban be ever since you opened.. regardless if it’s been five years since I’ve been here.. my experience never changes.. It’s always five stars. The servers in the bartenders and the entire staff are full of beautiful faces Terry Terry is a wonderful host The bands he selects for his events are always exceptional, and they always blow my mind The blues fest tonight was some of the best blues music I have ever seen .. some songs where my 78 year-old dad was singing along to and some songs that even my 29-year-old self would recognize. This is hands-down, one of the best spots in Lansing to go to .. if it’s busy, please be patient.. if it’s rowdy please enjoy it.. Needs some work... We went on a Friday night. It was busy, there were only a couple empty tables. It was seat yourself and a waitress was quick to say hi and clean a table for us. It's a communal atmosphere with long, shared tables mixed with smaller tables. The inside looks nice and has a huge bar. We ordered the "large" Bavarian pretzels for an appetizer. It came with two, 5"-6" small pretzels. They were tasty but a horrible appetizer for sharing due to their extremely small size. The cheese sauce tasted okay but was lumpy. My teenager got a cheese burger. He rated it 2 out of 10. He really didn't like it and the patty was incredibly small. Meat was bland and overcooked. He asked me to get him fast food on the way home 😔 I got the salmon. It had a crunchy shell, was slightly overcooked and extremely salty. It came with fried brussel sprouts with too much balsamic, a very small serving. The rice was horrible!! Dry, bland and undercooked. So hard and crunchy it hurt my teeth. Serving sizes were small and I was still hungry (didn't eat the rice). 5 out of 10 My other half got the fried fish. Again he was disappointed in the serving size but liked the flavor with crunchy breading that wasn't too thick and seasoned crinkle fries. Coleslaw was runny. 8 out of 10 We all liked the cheese cake of the day which was strawberry. Overall not at all worth the $100 tab and we left still hungry. I might try it again when we are just going for darts or a night out (very nice dart area). We used to frequent the previous business and were excited to have the space in use again. I hope they step it up with serving sizes and food quality or reduce the prices and call it the bar food that it is...

Stopped in with some friends for some dinner and drinks. First time here and will definitely be back. Had the Sicilian Pizza. It was delicious. Love a pizza with good mozzarella on it. Love to try many more things on the menu!

We went around 8pm on a Sunday. It was relatively empty, but the atmosphere was chill. The food was decent. The wings were on the smaller side and they were a bit expensive. The waiter was attentive of our needs and kind!

Never had a negative experience here. Always seemed like home (kind of like cheers). Sadly I because of work I was in and out of there and now moving to Florida. If you want a local bar experience where maybe they kind of forget your name this is the place to go because they may not remember your name but they will remember your drink.

This wasn't our first choice for lunch however we are very glad we wandered in! So many cleverly named selections. Everything our party of five had was really good. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive and prompt. We all really liked the sweet potato puffs. There is nothing rusty about the food or service here.

The proof is in the pudding or, in this case, the very cheesey breakfast pizza! Immediately upon walking in I was hit in the face with the mouthwatering smell of smoked brisket. The restaurant was not super busy, had really nice ambiance, and, was really clean. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The food was exceptionally good. Ordered the Rise and Shine Breakfast Pizza, that comes with bacon, sausage, ham, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, sausage gravy and fried over medium eggs on top. The crust was buttery and texturally perfect. The only complaint about the pizza, and it's a minor one, was that the sausage was so sage forward and flavorful that you couldn't really taste the bacon or ham. The sausage was delicious (one of the best I've had) though so I wasn't even mad; I just wished the dish had been a bit more balanced. Their coffee was stellar and their menu has numerous other offerings ( I'm looking at you smoked brisket omelette) that sound too good to pass up. I will for sure be returning many more times to get the full experience.

They were super busy and totally not prepared. Staff needs to be better trained. We were at the table for at least 30 minutes before having to go get someone to even take our order. 3 other tables walked out and a table sat 2 after us were waited on before us. The food and drinks were great. The host had the most he was the only one I would give 5 stars to.

I went to the Lansing location. The chef was sick so the waitress was making all the food so props to her but the food was so bad. The Dr.Pepper had no taste. Everything was coated in thick oil and had a very bland taste. I could only take one bite of my burger it was so bad. My fingers were coated in oil after just one bite. The ranch was delicious though. But yeah that was nasty.

Everything about this place was great! I ordered a drink with gin, lemonade, and grapefruit juice. It was well balanced and super refreshing. My partner ordered an espresso martini that was equally delicious. Our waiter was cute, kind, and funny. He accidentally dumped a whole glass of water across our table and really went out of his way to make up for it (gave us 20% off our drinks) even though it really wasn't a problem for us. I ordered the fish and chips. The dish was cooked perfectly. The batter was crispy and not soggy like many fish places. Portions were perfect and the flavor of the fish, the dipping sauce, and the garlic fries were all amazing. I also noticed a pride flag up above the bar, which for me was refreshing. I like businesses that openly support the LGBTQ+ community. We definitely plan to come back.

The food was great and atmosphere not bad either. Will definitely go back. The only thing I didn't like is the sign said seat yourself but open tables were not cleared so I moved the bottles and stuff to the next table over. Not how I like to start my eating experiences. I had a flight of 7 beers the midtown optimal let me down but the strawberry hibiscus ale was amazing. I'd say out of the 7 at least 3/4 of them weren't too watery so your chances of good beer are high. Loved the nachos.

My husband and I came here for a drink and bite to eat. It has a large table area with a bar. You can go through to another room with the bar continuing. There are pool tables here and a few tables. All in all, nice sports bar. The drinks were good and not very expensive. They also have happy hour specials. The only beef we had was the food. The food is okay but way too expensive for the quality. The dishes should be anywhere from 2 to 4 dollars less. I liked the place but my husband didn't like it as well. The server was prompt and very nice -- Elizabeth.

I've gone here once a year for three years because it is just across the street from the Lansing Center, where the Capital City Con is held, and it honestly perplexes me that every time, the Nuthouse has been less than 1/4 full. This place is great! The seating is comfortable and spacious, the lighting is not nearly as gloomy as is typical for sports bars, the service is always friendly and timely, and the menu has an ample variety of enticing fare. It's a great place to relax with friends and family. I'm tempted to give this one five stars, with the one thing holding me back being that the quality of the food, though very good, is not at that top tier level. I wish I had a good excuse to eat here more often.

Had lunch there. I had the gouda mac burger which had bacon and cheesy curds on top of a burger. It was not bad. I also tried the pizza which was pretty good. It was on the thinner side and not too crispy with not too much red sauce which I like. Would eat there again. They also have volley ball courts.

A quintessential sports bar with a fairly decent menu. Close to the highway and MLK. Ample parking. Men/Women/Family bathrooms. Beach volleyball court outside. Pool tables and dart boards inside. Several TVs on the walls tuned to sports, news and a triller movie. Nice selection of drafts and bottled beers. Waitstaff and bartender were on point tonight. The crowd was a mix of working stiffs, families, peeps hanging out. I had the smothered chicken with sweet potato fries. Tasty! Nice house salad to boot.

My sister had her retirement party here. Typical sports bar vibe, with volleyball pits. The staff was very thoughtful and accommodating until the local soccer club final crowd came in then the staff was over whelmed. Hope they made good tips. The food was typical bar food, but done well. All in all, it was a great time.

Lot's of room as you can see. Two pool tables. Not much else to do. It's a little pricey (I haven't been to a bar since covid)🤭. Beautiful place tho. Go cart track and back patio appears to be closed. The charging station is impressive if you don't mind leaving your phone there. The clientele here seems to be northsiders which are preferable in Lansing. Friendly compared to the what the west side was. I'm here at 6pm on a Saturday. Apparently, there was a volleyball tournament this morning 👏👏. I didn't have any food, but I know the owner 🤮 (I hate saying that), I'm sure the food is outstanding whatever they have ♥️
