We were out on our bikes exploring the area and got hungry. We wish there was a better place to lock our bikes than out by the bus stop. It's a very unassuming place, but the inside is pretty cool. The large room on the right is perfect for an intimate date night or chill with a few friends. The main taproom was good sized as well. We wanted to sit outside on such a nice day, but decided it was too windy. We had patty melt and a double royale burger...I think...they were gone so fast. A little disappointed the sandwiches didn't come with a side, but really, we didn't need to eat more. I tried both of the spiked lemonades, which were light and fruity on a warm day. My husband enjoyed the hazy and Fire Ant. It was crowded so we had good service. I'd love to be able stop in again before we head home to GA. 🤔

Went there for lunch, great food, easy to order and was pretty fast. Tried multiple brews, was super excited they offered 4oz pours! Great atmosphere even for my teen.

We visited for the first time today, I called ahead to see if they were dog friendly and they were on the patio. We thoroughly enjoyed the chips and queso for our appetizer. We then had the Butcher block pizza (my husband and I shared it had 6 slices) and our daughter had the chicken pesto pizza, both were very good, the pesto pizza was very complex with lots of flavor going on, but really tasty. The atmosphere was great lots of TVs for watching the game. The service was really great and attentive. Overall we will be coming back there next time we are in town.

Keg and Barrel has all the elevated pub food you could want, but I decided to be “that person” and ordered the Caesar salad with no dressing (yes, I know… boring). To make up for it, I grabbed the chips and onion dip and WOW — absolutely delicious! The outdoor seating is awesome, tons of space to hang out, and everyone here is super friendly and local. Definitely a place you’ll want to come back to again and again.

This place is the real deal... outstanding food, great beer selection, friendly staff. A taste of the big easy in Hattiesburg. You gotta try the Corn + Crab Bisque with a hunk of bread. I'm told that with all the changes over the last few decades, this bar has stayed the same.... I love it

I have been coming here at least once or twice a week for years. The past 5 or 6 times we have been the service has been some of the worst I’ve ever had, especially outside on the patio. Went last night for a friend’a birthday. We never received silverware or napkins the whole time we were there. I ate my Zydeco Chicken with the spoon that came with my side. My boyfriend waited 10 minutes at the bar to ask for silverware and by the time he got some, the whole table was finished with their food. My water was never refilled. We had a cake, our server never brought us plates or silverware to eat/cut the cake with. Not sure if they’re understaffed or what but very disappointed with the service lately. The drinks were great, as always, though.

Had a new server and he did a wonderful job! The food was really good! Atmosphere was great! The fries were slightly over seasoned and I do wish that the grilled cheese on the kids menu said it comes with bacon or we would have been told prior to it coming to the table.

Went here for Valentines Day dinner and couldn't have been more pleased. The service and food were exceptional. The portions were large enough to split. If we weren't from out-of-state, The Porter would be a favorite dining choice.

Sidelines is a great place to hang out, eat, and catch a game! The wings and burgers are always tasty, and the service is quick and friendly. Plenty of TVs, cold drinks, and a fun, lively atmosphere every time.

I go here frequently! The vibes are always chill with a friendly regular crowd. The ambiance is welcoming and the bartenders go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your time. I’m enjoy playing pool with my friends while waiting for my grub 🤘

I was just passing through, but if you have to stop in Hattiesburg, this place is the spot. The drinks are good and the company is even better. Folks are real friendly down here.

JS Tavern has potential to be a fun spot, but the staff and security absolutely ruined the experience. From the moment we walked up, the security was unbelievably rude. They patted me down like I was sneaking into Fort Knox, then had the nerve to practically demand a tip afterward. For what? Giving me a hard time? Not a chance. Inside, the bar itself was fine. Cool setup, good atmosphere. But the attitude from both the servers and the door staff killed it. No one wants to pay to be treated like garbage, especially when there are plenty of other places in Hattiesburg that know how to treat their customers right. I will not be going back.

Driving through on the way home from NOLA and found this gem. The food was amazing. Our server, Aubrey, was adorable. You HAVE to check out the bathrooms. They're very creative.

The Best Lounge and Bar in Hattiesburg hands down with Great VIBES!! Some of the Best DRINKS and Bartenders around and the service is always A1. Not to mention the Absolute Best HOOKAHS in the South, I Love to chill Outside on the back Patio and Smoke Hookah it's a Whole Vibe especially during Football season on Sundays the Game is Played on a Huge Projector screen out back! If You haven't been there get there NOW......!!

2025 Update: After having such a good time at Nostalgia the last time I was there (May 2024), I suggested it to a family member who wanted to celebrate his birthday (June 2025). That probably wasn't the best decision. I was disappointed to see they have not only changed locations, but the entire vibe was different. This is no longer a place for mature people (30-45)who like to dress well, hear good music, and have a good time. This is now a place for the younger (21-30) people who like bottle popping, music you can't hear over, and twerking/standing on furniture. If I was 15 years younger, this would likely be my weekend go-to. But not now. Unfortunately, my turn-up era has passed, and I'm in my good, safe, fun era. So I probably wouldn't return. Just wanted to provide an update for those who may have seen my previous review and thought the vibe was the same. Original review: I was invited to Nostalgia to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was easy to find (right off Main Street in Hattiesburg), but parking is scarce (through no fault of the establishment, as there are other businesses on the same strip). The bar downstairs is nice, neat, and clean, and there's ample sitting space. The VIP lounge upstairs is decent (it's the typical VIP: bar, lounge furniture, DJ, dance floor, and restrooms). There's also a really nice patio downstairs where you can enjoy hookah and a drink within earshot of the music. The vibe was great, and there was plenty of security patroling inside and out. No foolishness at all (which I was concerned about due to other reviews). The drinks were ok. This is not a bar where you're going to get mixologist crafted cocktails, but the bartenders do use a strong pour for the typical whiskey and coke or vodka and cranberry. All in all, the music was great (mix of old and new) and we had a good time!

Could definitely use a good cleaning. Bartenders were friendly but also unprofessional. Wearing flip-flops and smoking regularly. Would classify this bar as a locals hole in the wall for sure.

You can tell the rude girl answering the phone I called for an update on my door dash order because I have a procedure in the morning and can't eat after midnight and I ordered my food before 11. "I can't control door dash" no but you can control your mouth. The order was marked as being prepared so I was making sure I didn't need to cancel if it wouldn't be ready before midnight. DO BETTER.

First and only time visiting, as I'm not local. Took a friend to see The Weeks play. Cool venue, large bar with good audio. It was too damn cold but they have an outdoor patio for smoking. Large clean bathrooms(male at least). Staff/security were cool and not aggressive for no reason. We ordered food but honestly can't remember anything good or bad about it. Bartenders were friendly and efficient when it got busy.

Great service, Nice atmosphere! Go show this local business some love .

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Blackwater Bar & Grill is a great spot with an awesome atmosphere! The staff is friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home. Food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor — definitely exceeded expectations. Drinks were cold and well mixed, and the live music added a fun touch to the night. Perfect place to relax with friends or enjoy a good meal. Highly recommend!

My hubby & I dined here for the first time because we wanted something different & found this GEM on GPS! So glad we came! Staff were friendly & welcoming & the food was delicious! Music was great!! Highly recommend giving them a try! Only semi negative was the mixed drinks were weak. Also check out the paintings in the bathrooms!
