My wife and I came here for a quick drink during a lunch date and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The outdoor seating in the Belhaven Town Center, true to reputation, is a pretty chill place to relax and enjoy the outside weather. They were out of sage at the time so we couldn’t, unfortunately, try the Blueberry Sage Smash but we settled for a Strawberry Paloma and Belhaven Spritz. 💯 I’m not a usual fan of wine so I was hesitant to try but it still met my expectations. The Paloma was as delicious as we hoped it would be , though, so I can safely say we look forward to our next visit.
Local outdoor bar. They have great service that was fairly fast. I also applaud the fact they have the sense to be all inclusive as they serve alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. The atmosphere is a wonderful outdoor lounge area perfect for a date night. Sadly I can not speak to their food as they do not serve food. They leave that to Wing mouth and all the surrounding restaurants and bars prices seemed acceptable.
My first time here with my friends, and we had a BLAST! The food was exquisite, drinks fantastic, and the wait staff was OUTSTANDING! Carter was our waiter, and he was very informative and attentive. We will definitely be returning.
Intimate space with delicious and unique drinks named after books! I like to peek at the board for the featured drink of the day if youre feeling bold but also the bartenders are well skilled and can craft a drink for you on the spot. The space is cinematic and romantic. There is outdoor seating under the old trees. Great for a date or quiet night out after work with friends. Lastly, the food is a excellent compliment to the atmosphere and drinks and very filling.
It's cheap for a reason. Still has plywood up on the wall, space is small, no rooms for a bride or groom. It's just ghetto. Lies about giving you your deposit back if you're not comfortable with the venue. RUNNNN!!!! He gets mad if you don't like his venue and never responds back. Says he's done renovation but it's still looks like a whole in the wall. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. May 2025
Absolutely loved this venue. My wedding was a dream come true. Pete was amazing and kind.
Southern fare with regional flair, drinks & music in a multi-roomed venue with funky, retro-vibe.
Ww has a family gathering here while we spent the day celebrating our mom's 85 birthday. Great service and food. Thanks again for all the gard work and planning my sister put into this for all of us.
my friend Misty and i visited Jackson, Mississippi this past weekend,we were looking for a late night snack and we were astonished to find out this great place Hal & Mals/The Walk-In was in walking distance from our hotel (Westin Marriott),we made it just in time to order from the kitchen(11:30pm),we had a taste for the Pu Pu Platter and the 3 egg rolls, everything was absolutely amazing, simply delicious 😋
A whole vibe in the daytime. Please grab a friend and enjoy the atmosphere. Definitely order the Faces Shrimp. They will leave you wanting more. Alcohol Drinks were just right.
Today was my first time coming and Val was the best !! She was working the entire place on her own and my service was still timely ! The food was really good as well shoutout to whoever it back there cooking 10/10 will return
Local mainstay offering basic American pub grub, a big beer list & diverse live music performances.
Martin’s Downtown is a downtown Jackson, MS staple. They have the best food and tunes around! When you go to Martin’s- you will always see a friendly face or meet someone new that seems like you’ve known forever. Post pandemic, they are thriving and came back bigger and better! Bigger parking lot, bigger event stage, better food!! My fave is the steak bites medium rare with a side of Lima beans and mashed potatoes and gravy! They even have pork skins for sale now! Patrick, one of the assistant managers, is always happy, smiling, and helping all of the Martin’s staffers who need him!
Food is good. People there are great. Bend over backwards to make you happy. I will be back.
Food and drinks were okay overall! I got the Bulgogi Grilled Cheese and the Walk-In Caesar. The bulgogi was a little salty for my taste, but the salad was fresh and flavorful. The vibes here are great though — cool lighting, relaxed atmosphere, and perfect for a chill night out. I’d definitely come back for the ambiance!
we found this spot after speaking with the staff at our hotel,Westin Marriott,a quick walk down the street,we made it just in time to order from kitchen,it was a Vibe, cool atmosphere and ambiance,we indulged on a Pu Pu Platter and egg rolls, simply delicious 😋 and the staff were warm and welcoming
Was absolutely awful. Everyone had bulletproof vests on and guns. Was told I wasn't allowed back in because I was worried about our safety and she said she's scared of white people and would not let us back in and were made to stand outside surrounded by gangs.
This is a local club very much gangster boo vibes , bring your own bottle .. they didn’t too much care for outsider not a welcoming club : gang member and thugs dancing in the mirror ..
Casual, sports-centric nightspot with hookahs, billiards, pub grub & lively DJ nights.
I order wings and they gave me something I didn't order and when I told the waiter they didn't give a care in the world I was told to be grateful!!!!! How do you tell a person that who spent their money on what they wanted it's not like I was getting it for free!!!!! Everyone that comes there is not tipsy and can't remember what they ordered!!!!
The DJ TayTay was such a vibe he played the best hits. I especially enjoyed the Last Call waitresses LiLi, Tiny , and Jas for being such a good host and extended great customer service on my birthday
11,000-sq.-ft. nightclub with DJs, concerts & dancing plus 3 bars, lounges & a seasonal patio.
Great atmosphere with grown folks music. And Great food. With good strong drinks with very visible security This is a place in Jackson Ms. Where you don't have to worry about your safety Or your vehicle! Very professional staff. I definitely would recommend
Went on a Friday during Happy Hour and a live band was also performing. Drinks and food were great and service was fantastic most definitely will be back again.
Nice after hour spot
Great Bartender
1st time eating at M-Bar for lunch but was pleasantly surprised! I had the pantrout. Meal was a sizable portion that came with 1 side (fried okra, French fries or broccoli) and 2 pieces of white bread. Definitely enough to have you sluggish going back to work! Tiara was an awsome server and Rika kept us well hydrated! Definitely will be back!
Visited here for the 1st time. I enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and service. Our server, Tameka (spell check), was great! We started with drinks & food (the Buffalo chicken, tex-mex rolls, fried okra) was fire!!! We were in the common area for a little bit, then went into another room (cigar/smoke). It was nice. And Ms. Tameka still checked on us when we went into the other room. I'm from Ohio, and you don't always find that type of service. I definitely suggest this place for Happy Hour for sure! Next time, we visit Jackson, MS, we will be coming back to this spot!
Drinks, food, and the atmosphere were good. The hookah could have been better, not a fan of plastic hoses, when hookah is part of your name. The hookah should be the best part of your business. It seemed like everything else was better.
There was live music and great food, pool tables, and great staff!! There’s a patio!! Go check this place out!
Dozens of craft beers on tap & a complete menu of chow such as burgers & fried fare for sharing.
This review makes me sad. Before we moved away our friend group would meet here frequently. As we pulled in my husband asked if it was still open because of how poor the outside looked. It was also completely dead at 5:30/6:30 (as I write this) on a Friday night. We started with portobello fries - I’d skip them, it feels like they came frozen out of a bag. I had the Tex mex egg rolls because I would always get that before. They were pretty good but the fries seemed either stale or like they sat under the hot lamp too long and dried out. Like you can see the scorched fry parts in the photo. Also just got the bill and was up charged $1.49 for bacon on my fries annnnnd do yall see bacon!?! Hubby got the chicken bacon ranch wrap- said it was ok. Overall just sad. This place was so alive in previous years.
It is currently March 18, 2025 (8:35pm) and I am currently sitting at the bar with my partner as I’m typing this. At this present moment, there is a grand total of SIX guests including my partner and I seated at the bar (sign upon entry said “bar service only”). The two bartenders on staff tonight have barely acknowledged us. No biggie, we’re in no rush. After finally being acknowledged, the bartender interrupted me to engage in a conversation with other guests the midst of taking my drink order. Both bartenders frequently disappeared and tended to the others at the bar. Very lackluster customer service and an overall lackadaisical vibe from both bartenders. I can honestly say this isn’t the same Bulldog I frequented pre-COVID and it’s a shame because I recall this place being very lively and inviting.
The club has a modern look that I enjoyed. However the sound system was much too loud where the singer’s voice was overpowering and you could not enjoy the full musical arrangement. They also started over an hour late overall below average experience. The lounge had an 35+ year old crowd which I state just as a point of knowledge. The cover was $15 which is another point of knowledge.
My Fiance and i went Wednesday evening and even tho due to the storm the event got cancelled we still had a blast. The cook had us on our toes with the food. The music was touching the spot and the bartender had the drinks coming. Loved It!!!!!!!
I left because a dancer named Lacy came up and told me I had to tip the dancer on stage. She harassed me for tips.
I used to love Danny's. The women were friendly and very attractive. Monday night, the attractive ones weren't friendly, and the friendly ones weren't attractive. You could tell by how scarce the tips were for the girls when they danced. Something needs to change y'all. It used to be such a special place. What happened?
