Jared did a great job with drink recs and answering questions regarding selection and the menu. Fun vibe. Loud music if you're looking for a good conversational cocktail hour on a Saturday night, but overall good time, good service, good drinks. Would definitely come back for a girls night out.
Loved my birthday drinks at Fern tonight! The Summer Camp menu is great. I had a Capture the Flask and Arnold Paloma. Both were so thoughtful and delicious. Tried the potato and cheese taquitos. They were really tasty! Would love a dipping sauce option.
This is your sign to visit this French inspired cocktail lounge in Kansas City: Cheval! From floor to ceiling, this spot has French decor that will make you feel like you transported to a lounge in France! Cheval has signature beverages, small appetizers, and mouthwatering desserts. We really enjoyed the chocolate ganache dessert! They also have a fantastic $10 cocktail menu, which is hard to find these days at nice cocktail lounges! Cheval is a wonderful spot to visit for date night or a girls night out. Check out Cheval next time you are looking for a spot to grab drinks in Kansas City!
My partner and I came last Wednesday close to closing hour. The bartender was sweet and made one of the best dirty martini with gin that we've had in a while. Well-balanced and smooth to drink. The atmosphere was beautiful. We will definitely be coming back again.
Intimate hideaway serving refined craft cocktails in a sophisticated, vintage-inspired setting.
Swordfish Tom’s is the kind of place that truly feels like a real speakeasy, not just a hidden bar with a fancy sign. It is intimate, unique, and has an atmosphere that makes you feel like you are in on a secret. The staff are true connoisseurs of cocktails. If nothing on the menu catches your eye, which is honestly rare, they will happily create something special just for you. We tried several drinks and every single one was crafted like a piece of art, both in presentation and flavor. This is a place for people who see cocktails as more than just a mix of ingredients. For us, it was an experience worth savoring and one we will definitely come back to.
Went last night while passing through town. Jill was very friendly, made some recommendations of other places to check out, and the old fashioned wad smooth. The environment is awesome, truly a hidden gem. Next time I'm back in town this is a must for a drink ! Thanks
Stopped by this bar with a friend while waiting for our concert to start and had the best surprise—Matt behind the bar! Not only were the cocktails amazing, but we ended up having such a great conversation with him. Thanks, Matt, for making our night even better!
June's Night Club might be Kansas City's best kept secret. I celebrated my birthday here recently, and this is the most fun I've had out in a long time! The atmosphere is so fun and the music is phenomenal. I had a great martini and they played some of my favorite disco hits.
This place has is lively cocktail bar with a playful personality. When we visited, it was decorated with a Christmas in July theme that gave the whole place a fun and quirky vibe. It was busy but in a good way, and the two ladies working the bar handled everything with skill and ease. I ordered their famous espresso martini and immediately understood why it is a fan favorite. It is made with freshly brewed espresso to order, giving it a rich flavor and smooth finish. A great spot for creative drinks and a fun night out.
If you love craft cocktails, then this place deserves a spot on your list. The staff is attentive & genuinely kind which sets the tone right away. The space is cozy but never boring (big fan of the Bob Ross videos on the TVs) lots of different seating options which I really appreciated. Now for the drinks; Their seasonal menu is easily one of my favorites in the city. The photo above is from their Christmas in July theme & I wish I remembered the name of the cocktail but they just added a pop rock habanero drink that was out of this world. Basically, I highly recommend for anyone who loves a creative cocktail experience w/ a warm vibe.
Iconic jazz club offering live music every night amid a retro vibe, scarlet walls & a marble bar.
Doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you walk into the Green Lady Lounge, I think you'll be blown away. Both the main level and the lower level offer unique experiences. They charge a cover even when bands aren't performing, but when I stopped by during the day to check it out, they let me look around without charging me. My wife and I went back later that evening and had a great time. Great drinks and wonderful jazz music. Highly recommend you try out both areas!!!
This place was packed and lively and truly felt like THE place to be. We had to wait at the door to be escorted in. Seating was definitely limited, but the atmosphere was friendly and accommodating. A group welcomed us with open arms to sit at the table really close to them…almost a shared space. We visited and they filled us in on the best drinks. I wish I could remember what I ordered, but I only got a picture. I tried a few different drinks and all were very good…crafted perfectly. Make sure to venture to the basement where there’s a completely different band playing. The red glow, mirrors, and chandeliers throughout make for great pictures! I will definitely return to this jazz lounge!
Funky bar featuring 50+ arcade games from the 1980s & ’90s, plus cocktails & lots of draft beer.
Great place to relax and unwind. They have a wide variety of classic games to play at 25 cents per play. They have great happy hour prices, for example, tonight they had $2 pizza slices. The employees are super friendly and helpful. It is a great atmosphere with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The food is limited to pizza only, but it is pretty good.
What a fun place!!! Whether you were raided in the 80's or not, this place is great! We have gone to the Up Down in Des Moines and loved it. Same owners, but the vibe is a little different. Bartender was super helpful and friendly. He said they now will have 6 places. They have one in Nashville and are even opening up one in Birmingham. We ordered pizza from a different counter and the service was good. Make sure you go around everywhere as there are games hidden around every corner and level. We parked down the street at a meter. Looks like there is outdoor seating so when the weather is nice you can sit on the patio. Lots of drink choices and games to play: skeeball, pinball, vintage games, etc. Love it!!
Such a lovely pretty place! Although the seats can be accommodated for big groups, I’d honestly say this place fits more so for a date due to the lighting and spacing of the areas. You still can do big groups (like I did) but just be aware that the scenery has an intimate vibe imo. Also, just make sure to reserve and coordinate seating arrangements ahead of time lol. Though kinda expensive, the drinks and foods were delicious and pretty. I’d rec getting the suburban sunset cocktail and the margarita pizza! The potato pizza was okay as it was a lil too salty for me. Forgot to try the sushi but heard they tasted amazing as well. If you have bread for it, I’d say splurge on the drinks n food. Otherwise, share w friends! As for the service, HUGE shout out to our server, Grace! She was so nice, patient, and welcoming! Not only was her service great, our entire experience was lovely as they helped celebrate my friend and I’s birthday with a birthday dessert platter and free shots! Would definitely try to come back here again if there’s ever a reason
Husband and I went here for his birthday and everything was great! Tavo was our waiter and he was very attentive, enthusiastic and willing to make any of my drink dreams come true. We are definitely impressed and excited to bring more of our friends here. Also shout out to the team for supplying the women’s bathroom with supplies. Many times this is overlooked and seeing that it was readily available was really appreciated.
Pleasurable place to be!! From the moment you walk in, you know, this is the place! Didn’t have reservations when I arrived and made them while I was standing there. Went to the bar for a cocktail while waiting for table top seating. The Yuza Lemon Drop Martini was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Tasty! Could’ve filled all the way to the top though. There was a happy hour menu at the bar. Unfortunately once I was seated at my table, the happy hour options weren’t an option. They really should change this. Happy hour options are only available at the bar and rooftop. Had the bai buns - burnt ends option. There is also a chicken option. The fried rice was sensational! And I don’t even like fried rice. The atmosphere was a cool vibe and you could have a convo without yelling. DJ booths on the second floor and rooftop. After a certain time this spot turns into a club like atmosphere. Went upstairs to check out the rooftop. Will be back for a nighttime nightcap! Beautiful views of the city and just an overall chill vibe. Will be coming back to visit and bring people here!!!
Our dining experience at Palm Tree Club in Kansas City was outstanding. I had the steak with Brussels sprouts and potato rosti on the side, my parents ordered the Amish chicken, and my aunt enjoyed a fresh salad — every dish was beautifully plated, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. For dessert, we had their ice cream, served as a generous three-scoop portion per order — the perfect way to end the meal. Our waiter, Ibrahim, was exceptionally attentive throughout. The manager also stopped by to check on us, which added a thoughtful touch to the service. The atmosphere felt modern, vibrant, and stylish — making the whole dining experience truly stand out. Overall, a 10/10 — highly recommended!
Splashy location featuring plush seating areas & a sleek cocktail bar overlooking the city.
KJ was absolutely incredible. He was running the entire floor/bar and was still extremely attentive. I requested a bees knees, sadly they were out of honey. KJ took the extra step and made our party a special mini cocktail as close to a bees knees as he could get and it was PHENOMENAL. The atmosphere inside is beautiful and the patio was truly a treat. We are from out of town and are grateful we made the stop.
Stop #2 in the Reverb building for my wife’s birthday. It had been a long time since we visited, but we had a great night here for our second ever visit. The cocktails on the menu we ordered were outstanding, and we then ordered favorites (espresso and dirty martini) that delivered. It’s a small and intimate space with one of the best views in the city. A must for special occasions. Photos are a must!
Comfy, old-school bar pairing small plates & flatbread pizzas with martinis & many types of scotch.
5/5 on the food!!! Came here for dinner one day. The sliders are amazing 🍔. The pretzels 🥨 are perfect. So soft and I love the salt. The cheese was great that came with it. Food is great. I have been here at night for a bar experience too and it’s not bad either!
Stopped in here for dinner to meet with friends in KC for a night. Was looking for late night eats and this spot popped up. Menu had a nice variety without being overwhelming. We shared the hummus trio appetizer and it was flavorful and refreshing. I had a patty melt with potato salad, it was very good and not overwhelming greasy like typical bar food. The best part was dessert, we got banana cream pie and raspberry donut cheesecake. Would definitely come back for a late night bite!
Kitschy nightclub attracting a diverse crowd for adult-themed entertainment like drag performers.
One of the bars a bottle water was $2, another was $1, the other was $3. Consistency would have been nice, especially since I don't drink alcohol. I just wanted a safe fun place to dance. On the dance floor someone had spilled drinks and it didn't get cleaned up because my shoes were sticking and it made it hard to dance in some areas. The DJ never played my song.but the show was fun and all the dancers were amazing!
I LOVE Missie B's! It is the only place I've been able to find easily where I feel entirely comfortable. (I know there are a lot of places in kc for the community, but im not on fet life, so idk where those places are) the only reason I have not like it at any point was that the number posted is invalid and eli cuddell just lip syncing while JUST collecting money. Other performers PERFORM while collecting and he DID NOT.
A simple exterior gives way to this cool speakeasy offering classic cocktails & live entertainment.
This place was an amazing vibe! Every server seemed to be supportive of each other and would constantly step in to help out whether it was their table or not. The drinks were good and so was the food. Music was also super 2000s centric and everybody enjoyed.
First time visit for me and I can say for sure I will be visiting again. What an interesting venue with a great staff. My wife's band played here and everyone was super helpful and accommodating. The facilities are nicely set up for the talent with room to load in and store gear. Lots of nooks and walkways with two stages that are far enough apart that you wouldn't know the other one was there. Even an indoor diner. Food and drink selection is excellent. Again, I can't say enough good things about the staff. Looking forward to my next visit.
Wow I’ve been here in the past and I couldn’t care less on how many times I’ve been here to say the least that this place is kind of small, doesn’t have much room, and over all there’s not much to work with, other people have left bad reviews about this place and they are not wrong 😑 it’s true what they say, so me not being allowed into this place isn’t really a big deal to me, I already know what I did and didn’t do so the bouncer were informed that I shouldn’t be allowed in which is fine nothing personal it’s just business 👌 I’ll chill elsewhere lol
I was there with a group of friends and within 15-25minutes I got kicked out, they grabbed me as i was coming out of the restroom pulled me outside and grabbed my wrist and ripped off my band because they said I was running into people and that I was to drunk, which I was not I only had 2 drinks. I left without making a scene I was respectful to them and they just treated me like complete shit and it was extremely crowded in a very small space. my only guess is that they confused me for someone else I am not sure but either way I don’t recommend this place cause it’s to crowded and they treat people like shit
Neon-lit nightclub with a high-energy dance floor & DJs, plus a VIP room with bottle service.
Place is a lot of fun, small and exclusive venue. Quality time instead of quantity of people. I love how they have it set up.. the layout of the club itself is the best part by far.
would never expect it from the outside however on the inside, they have a spectacularly unique decor WITH THE BEST INTELLIGENT LIGHTING in KC. bottle service , and the drinks are not priced outrageous ! ! Which is a huge factor. The door staff and security are respectful but so there job. I’m looking forward to the next establishment concept . Edge xo envy aura ?? Ps. It was pretty rad to see a blind young man on the dance floor! Last time I was there the blind young gentleman was all smiles enjoying the ride of bass and low hertz. I lost my iPhone 15 and retrieved it within mins from the BAR. It was turned it not stolen
Chic, contemporary bar with craft cocktails & small plates, plus a patio.
A truly elegant experience at The Monarch Bar! We came just for drinks and to enjoy a posh, upscale atmosphere and it absolutely delivered. The champagne selection was top-notch, with several options you don’t find everywhere. The service was equally impressive attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly without being overbearing. While we didn’t try the food this time around, it’s definitely on my list for the next visit. Perfect spot for a classy night out or celebrating something special.
I recently had an opportunity to host a Kansas City Business Owners social event at The Monarch. The owner and staff were very accommodating to the organizations needs for the event, setup and we were able to host a large private event for approximately 150 attendees. Shout out to Cameron & Jameson and rest of The Monarch staff for a Fabulous Event!
High-energy regular live music shows in a popular bar chain featuring novelty bucket drinks.
This place rocks, literally! We're locals and this is hands down my favorite club to dance at, so it was the obvious choice for our wedding after party. I would totally recommend for anyone looking for a fun space to let loose after their wedding! There were lots of fun perks to booking an after party rather than just showing up, including stage call ups and free entry to everyone in our party! The staff worked really hard to make us feel special. It was the perfect end to our wedding day, everyone had so much fun. My out of town friends and family kept complimenting me on the choice of club, and saying how they wished they had a howl in their city.
We went down for our daughter’s 21st Birthday and had an amazing night!! Our waitress was top notch as was the rest of the workers! Musicians were fantastic!!! Thanks Howl at the Moon for making her 21st very special!!! We’ll be back soon!!
This is one of my favorite dive bars for me and my friends to come to! Theresa is amazing, and always makes sure we are well taken care of. You have to try their mini beers if you stop in- you won’t regret it! They have the AMI music that you can play from your phone- just be sure Dave doesn’t get to it first!
Came to Watch Chief VS Chargers Sao Paul Game and they Starter to play the Rokola Music At the Game Half time Game show with Karol G. I missed the whole Show 😭😭 I'll never come back here Ever again, they are super rude and horrible services/Drinks
Rollicking cowboy bar doling out brews in an easygoing setting with live music & a mechanical bull.
Great atmosphere but apperently there are line dances only the “staff” can do and the bouncer will kick you off the dance floor even if you know them better than the staff. Would not recommend coming here if you are looking to dance without interruption.
PBR is seriously one of the best spots in KC for a fun night out, especially if you’re doing bottle service. We had Kaysha as our server and she was amazing. Super friendly, on top of everything, and made sure we had a great time from start to finish. If you're thinking about getting a table for a party or just want the full VIP vibe, I’d definitely recommend asking for her. The energy, the music, the drinks and all 🔥. We’ll definitely be back!
Management is insincere, dancers are rude, and the establishment is tiny. As a customer, you may have a great time. However, being a dancer there was a miserable experience.
Never come here without cash. This place is shady AF. Ever since I left one night my bank keeps telling me there's fraudulent charges being made on my information and that only started after my time spent at Pure. So for your own good never use a debit card there, only cash. Other than that ladies there are nice and security won't let you get into to much trouble if you've had one to many to drink.
This is a nice place for people of all ages! I was nervous to go as a 22 year old but theres so much diversity here. We paid $15 to get in, found a table in the back to sit and chat.. Drinks are about $12, really good & big drinks as well. Music of all kinds, the bartenders were nice.. I recommend giving this place a try !🤍
Literally the worst experience I have ever had. These so called “people” who work for this place treated us so ridiculously poorly on the night of our engagement. We were denied entry due to being “to high”. Do not pay this bar any time, it’s my hope they close due to their poor management. All that we wanted was a glass of Chardonnay. You will never see our business!!!
Definitely has the younger brother vibe, but BLVD’s side room certainly opens the door for alternative events.
Cool place to have fun .knowing im school but i still had fun people are cool and drinks are good.i will be back.i glad i have a new spot .i feel welcome and i glad i can just be me.
Food was surprisingly good...had me licking my fingers !! Drinks...that's how you make a DRANK !!! YEP that means I'm coming back for more! The ladies at the bar were so sweet and helpful on picking the selections ...that one bartender dark hair 😬...sorry bad with names...but she was great! I did like sitting at the bar
Fun little spot. 2 stages for music. 6 sure if the stage we were at was newer or what, but the 2 bars in that area did not have most of what we wanted, so we had to go over to the other bar. Great band, Ty Ellis and the Flatliners.
High-energy club based on the dance scene of the 1990s, with DJs & bottle service at VIP tables.
What a terrible establishment. My friends boyfriend was charger $20 for wearing a white dress up shirt. We had friends come in later and were wearing white t shirts who didn’t get charged. What kind of sense does that make. We had bought a section prior and our bottle girl was so rude. She didn’t believe we had a section and then after showing her receipts and then paying the cash she never came back to the table. She was short and Asian.
Went there for a friend's birthday we didnt get the things we were told we would. Like a free bottle, shout out from dj, not giving the deposit back due to all this and some and the one Asian bottle girl has the most rudest attitude and she's the only bottle girl ......
I visited this club when I traveled to Kansas City a little while ago. Normally, when I go to adult entertainment clubs, I like to do three things: eat, drink, and be merry. Sadly, this club doesn't serve food, and alcohol, which is really surprising. I would have loved some Hennessy, but I digress. The layout on the inside resembled a theater, which was interesting. I don't think I've been to a club that's looked like that so far. It was easy for me to find a table near the stage. I also got approached quickly, which sometimes doesn't happen when I go to adult entertainment venues--unless it's a black club, likely because I'm a relatively young black man. Still, plenty of women talked to me throughout the night. The ladies were attractive, worked the pole well, and were great conversationalists. The exact three things I look for in dancers. I got a quite a few dances from various ladies (I wish I'd have brought more money). The dances by the couches don't involve touching or nudity, but VIP dances do. I went into VIP with the dancer who went by Dominique, and that was the best choice I could have made. She's in PHENOMENAL shape and she's got hypnotic eyes. Great conversationalist and dancer as well. I don't know when I'll be back that way, but whenever I end up in KC, I'm requesting her, for sure. Though I couldn't get any food or cognac, I had a great time thanks to the ladies, with special mention to Dominique.
Been coming here for a while but haven't been here in a while due to a lot of BS. I've been back a couple times and I noticed that some of the girls I used to see ain't there no more sadly. But I came back to see Bunny and she is the sweetest. And this next time I come back I would love some time with Dominique if I find out what nights she works.
Nightspot with a patio serving up beer & cocktails along with retro dance music, plus theme nights.
Always a fun time at Shark Bar, especially after a concert or event in PNL. The music and dance floor are great, but the real highlight is Abbey behind the bar. She’s so friendly and personable, even when it’s slammed — seriously one of the best bartenders around. She makes the whole experience that much better!
I typically only come here when there are deals on drinks due to such expensive prices, but there is so much inconsistency. on nights when they do have deals, the bartenders always have no clue what’s going on. it’s always “wait what?” or “let me go ask my manager 🤪” when i’m literally showing them my phone with the shark bar page pulled up with the deals of the day. However, me and group of my friends came last weekend for 816 day when everything was half off including cover. All we ordered were well drinks, and the price was different every single time. the first time we knew something wasn’t right was when my friend ordered a double vodka cran, and was charged $15. I showed her the receipt and said “thought it was half off tonight?” she said “he got a double” i let it slide at first, but then had a realization of, wait, is a double usually THIRTY DOLLARS then? no. so i asked another bar tender after a while and she was confused why that happened. through the night, i bought a few more drinks, and each time it was a different price. one time it was $8, another time $10, another time $12 or $7. I don’t know what’s going on with the girls at the bar. if they’re clueless, pocketing money, or what, but nobody ever seems to know what they’re doing there.
Beautiful place! Wonderful atmosphere. Our server Kelsey C. was super sweet and attentive. I always go with her recommendations. She is super down to earth. We came on our birthdays and she made sure we felt extra special and taken care of. Our birthday desserts were super cute and festive. Just like her! She added the most adorable touches to my mocha latte with caramel drizzle. We love coming here. It’s our new favorite place! 5 star food, service and atmosphere. What more could you ask for?
Excellent service and food quality. Prices are a little high but to be expected in a hotel and on the Plaza. The quality was excellent and service was attentive and prompt. Ambiance needs some improvement. It is a little drab.
Upscale nightclub with plush seating, mood lighting, bottle service & a DJ-provided soundtrack.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely incredible night out! This place knows how to do VIP service right. From the moment we walked in, the energy was electric and the atmosphere was perfect. Our table service was phenomenal - Chloe, Mason, and Carson went above and beyond to make sure our night was unforgettable. They were attentive without being intrusive, kept our drinks flowing, and really made us feel like VIPs. The bottle service presentation was impressive, and they helped us celebrate in style. The music was on point all night, Eric Coomes is a top notch DJ with a great mix of current hits and throwbacks that kept the dance floor packed. Sound system is top-notch and the lighting creates an amazing vibe. The crowd was fun and the whole venue has such a premium feel. What really sets this place apart is the staff - Mason, Chloe, and Carson made the experience personal and memorable. You can tell they genuinely care about making sure guests have an amazing time. Already planning our next visit. This is definitely our new go-to spot for special occasions. Highly recommend booking table service - it's worth every penny! Can't wait to come back!
I can't say enough about how incredible our experience was! We were celebrating a bachelorette party, and the staff went above and beyond to make the night feel truly special and unforgettable. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect, and every single detail was handled with care and enthusiasm, and our bartender, Chloe, was amazing. This is the ultimate place for a special occasion, and we're already planning our next trip back!
We completed a spray foam insulation project for BLVD Nights, but unfortunately, our experience has been very negative. Despite finishing the work as agreed, the owner, Chad Waldrop, has actively avoided paying us for the job. We have made multiple attempts to resolve this directly and fairly, but he has not followed through on his obligations. As a contractor, we rely on professionalism and integrity in our business relationships, and in this case, that has not been honored. I would strongly caution others considering doing business with this company.
The club was fine, but they should change the DJ; he only plays old songs and has no variety; he has to play music from all countries. I didn't like it.
