The place is clean and unique. It was wide open inside during 90 degree weather but the A/C still kept it cool inside. My sangria was good. The chairs were uncomfortable and the bar tender was not happy about his job. He wouldn't even make eye contact with most the customers. That's why I didn't give this place 4 or 5 stars. It has potential and I may try it again.

This was a nice stop for drinks before dinner. It gives modern dive bar vibes with live bands performing frequently (be prepared for cover charge). The drinks were crafty and unique. Having house made syrups takes a cocktail to the next level. The Tequila Cherry Crisp was a dangerously good cocktail, and the Vanilla Cinnamon Old Fashioned put an artisan twist on a classic. Really good experience.

This bar has become a regular spot for us — the kind of place that feels like an extension of home. The staff truly make the experience; they’re welcoming, attentive, and always greet us with genuine warmth. It’s clear they care about their regulars, and that creates a vibe that keeps us coming back. The food? Surprisingly solid for bar fare. Daily specials keep things interesting. My personal favorite- wing Wednesday, the deal here with flavor is hard to beat. Whether it’s lunch, dinner, or a quick snack, there’s always something that satisfies without hurting the wallet. Now, drinks can be a bit of a wildcard. Since there isn’t a dedicated bartender, cocktails may vary depending on who’s mixing them up — sometimes it’s spot on, sometimes it’s a little off. Wait times fluctuate too, usually tied to the crowd, so a little patience goes a long way, especially during peak hours. Overall, it’s a place with soul. If you value character over polish and community over perfection, this bar hits the sweet spot. (Ps- keep the old bay dry rub please !!)

Only ran in for a quick drink before a day of shopping and lunch later. The bartenders were very nice and a pleasure to speak with about different options. Always tend to go with an Old Fashioned so, creature of habits stay the same. Menu looks good, will return for a more detailed food review.

We visited the rooftop bar for the first time and were definitely impressed. Our server Christian was very friendly and knowledgeable. The drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was very comfortable while still upscale. It was raining when we arrived so we didn't spend much time outside, but once it stopped, the view was amazing! We went at sunset and were not disappointed at all. I highly recommend Vantage roof top to anyone looking for a date night, great view, or just a nice upscale spot for good food and drink.

Stopped in for a quick drink and appetizer before dinner, and the rooftop patio could not have been more beautiful. Our server, Ethan, was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome right away. What really made the experience stand out was the non-alcoholic drink menu — not just alcohol-free, but thoughtfully crafted and genuinely delicious. It’s rare to find a place that gives that level of care and creativity to every beverage, and I really appreciated being able to enjoy the atmosphere and experience without alcohol.

Loved this place, the environment was great and the drinks were very tasty as well. We got their version of an espresso martini and a bananas foster old fashioned and both drinks were delicious. But what really makes this place is the environment. Late at night it is very intimate and a very chill relaxing environment after a long night out. Will be back.

This has been my favorite bar for years, I’ve just never thought to write a review! I’ve never had bad service here, the wait staff are always friendly, helpful and have helped put me on to some of my favorite new drinks. I love having a bar that I can go out to with friends or go work on my laptop and enjoy a beer in peace alone. I have always felt safe at this bar, MudLounge has always been welcoming to queer folks and is a needed space in Springfield. They have a lovely selection of unique craft beers that rotate seasonally, I am always finding new ones that I like!

Ethan and the crew are always very kind and personable. Vey caring environment, and the shows on Tuesday nights are fun! I’ve brought several friends here, and the staff have always been kind.

Variety of beers available. Large selection of alcoholic beverages. Mixed drinks. Soft drinks. Seating at bar and at tables. Pool table.

First time at Hour House. Didn’t eat but had some delicious and VERY affordable drinks, and awesome fun. Holly and Brian, who are the bartenders and karaoke DJ of this fabulous place are the BEST! See you again at our next overnight at SGF.

No food that I could tell but the drink I had was fantastic. I loved Drag Bingo, we had a really good time and I think they did a great job with it. Hope to come again.

Southbound Bar and Grill, I salute you, and I thank for providing a stage for American Aquarium to exercise their craft this past Saturday night. They rocked the place loud and hard. They played a fantastic set, and the crowd, obviously very faithful followers, ate it up. I have attended shows at various venues in Springfield, but I have never seen anything like the rock and roll show American Aquarium put on at Southbound Bar and Grill. I drove 365 miles from Fremont, NE to see the show, and I would do it again, so please bring them back soon. Your club is easy to find, offers free and easy parking, great food and drinks with prices that are in line with other venues in Springfield, and a staff that provides excellent service at every level. I highly recommend the Southbound Bar and Grill. They are a great live music venue.

This was a really nice find! We went for happy hour, which they had specials on apps and 30% off wings this particular day. The wings were huge and very well prepared! The onion rings though, BEST IN SWMO! They were amazing! Drafts were half off for happy hour too, but slim selection.

Come during the day and get bad service because you interrupted the bar tender watching TV. Come during the evening with Robin and she will try to keep your card or purposely over charge you. This place was a good hole in the wall bar at one time...

Dark, cozy, pool tables, covered patio seating. This is a nice little dive. Only had a few drinks here, but the bar staff are fantastic, Kristi especially!

Absolutely the best bar in town. I always feel incredibly welcomed by the staff, the decor is cute, and the drinks are cheap! They have video games, pool, darts, frisbee golf, and corn hole. Awesome outside area with plenty of seating and weather protections and heaters for when it’s cold.

Bob and Wanda are icons in the music scene in downtown springfield. They have blessed us all with they're love of the blues and our community. Everyone should experience Natahn P Murphys !!!

Had so much fun! I didn't know anything about this place except the name but there was singing, dancing, comedy, all locals dressing up and doing what they love and making us love it too! You have to go at least once, if not every weekend!!

I’m from Wisconsin and we went to a few bars in the area of sweet boys and this bar was my favorite of all we ended up going in there three different times in one night. I think we had at least two different bartenders and both of them were awesome. The atmosphere was great and the drinks were reasonable. definitely going in there again when we go back to Springfield

Wish they had more pinball! They did have (5-Sep-25) one machine with the sound turned off, or too low to hear. Terminator T3, cost $1/game, which is pricy for a 2003 pin. Cool hang out, had a DJ, they serve to non alcohol beer, and I saw some dudes doing push ups…pretty sure their beer was the alcohol variety 🤣

This place will always be my favorite in the 417. Great service, great staff. We have met so many people including the owners it's like family. Great bands, BUT....Music is loud and smoke machines make it smoky. All the doors were open, it was hot inside. I don't want to go to a place and sweat.

417 is a great place to grab a local beer and chill. They have private party rooms and with pinball machines and great atmosphere. A fantastic food menu and it's all great! The crowd is pretty good but not super busy most of the time. A pretty good place to just chill and grab a beer and some food.

If you are looking for a more chill vibe downtown, this is a great option! The bartenders are friendly & attentive. The food is extremely delicious. There are several seating options such as tables, booths, couches, & of course the bar. A fun, laid back place to hang out with friends.

This club has changed alot. The drag show was great considering it's was only 3 performers. It was Saturday and it was not a packed house. Eighty percent of patrons was very young so I just watched and sipped my drink. The cover was $14 per person. Springfield needs some new clubs for us seasoned folk lol. I love the shows so I will still go there

I always have a great time here. Their bartenders are friendly, the music is okay, and the food is actually surprisingly good for a club. We got their fried pickles and the quality was way better than even a lot of chains etc around here. They always put on a great show too!

Maybe, I'm biased ... But having traveled all over the world can definitely say, "Friends is the place to become a friend and enjoy the night." I came here the week before Halloween, and quickly became friends with everyone in the bar! Their smiling faces welcomed me back every night I was in town ... It's a feeling that I cherish. I can't wait to be back!

The DJ gatekeeping songs is terrible. Told me the song I chose was too slow and then proceeded to allow the next 6 songs that were slower than the one I picked. Literally, mine would have been the fastest song played in the next hour. Everything else was great.

My wife and I went to the club and had a wonderful date night night together The food came out at a reasonable time and was overall pleasant. Though we mostly just snacked on apps. The staff was welcoming... shout out to Ivy! She was awesome and very friendly and fun. We'd definitely recommend going if you're looking for a fun time in town.

Came out with some friends on a Saturday night and it was a lot of fun, one of the best run and most fun bars I’ve ever been too. My Bar tender was Great too, I think her name was Kylie but despite having a busy bar she treated us great. We will be back

First time here on a Saturday night. So far, it’s a slow start. Not bad. Love the atmosphere here. Will be back again. Wish they had happy hour on Thursdays. Food is awesome too!!
