Sophisticated tavern with stone & plank decor, offering upscale comfort food & a broad whiskey menu.
Copper Whiskey Bar & Grill has a lot going for it, but my experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The atmosphere was nice overall, though the restaurant felt pretty warm inside, which made it a little uncomfortable at times. Food-wise, it was hit or miss. The cornbread came out dry and disappointing, and the fried pickles had way too much heavy beer batter that took away from the flavor. On the flip side, the drinks were excellent — the Coal Miner’s Daughter and the Huckleberry Margarita were both standouts and definitely worth coming back for. The real highlight, though, was the bison meatloaf. Hands down the best thing I tried, and it’s the one dish I’d return for without hesitation. If everything had been at that level, this would have been an easy 5 stars. All in all, I’d call this more of a 3.5-star experience, but I’ll round up because of the fantastic drinks and that unforgettable meatloaf.
The skillet cornbread is enough for the 5 stars! It was a busy day downtown Bozeman when we were looking for some bison burgers. Copper Whiskey had a great selection of food, including our bison burgers! While everything looked amazing on the menu we stuck to our choice of a burger and man was it delicious, juicy, and flavorful! After the downright best cornbread I have ever had, and that burger I had to be rolled right to the hotel to sleep it all off. I had a great experience from the check in, service, and food here! I can’t wait to come back!
Food: chicken was fresh and tasty! Really enjoyed the sauces!! Would recommend not doing the sliders though due to being small. Would get a chicken sandwich meal. Service: it is an order from the window and go pick your seat establishment. Server was nice: Atmosphere: love the restaurant!!! They have so much space and the inside and patio is lovely!! Great vibe!!
We were here on Tuesday trivia night and it was a blast. Awesome beer on tap selection. The sours were great esp the bar 3 bbq sour made locally. So good
Awesome place! Arrived early on a Saturday by myself, literally only person in the bar. (Minus staff) Giselle and Eva are two of the sweetest people EVER. They will happily talk with you and make you feel right at home. 💕 Spent about 3hrs here BY MYSELF, just enjoying the atmosphere and conversation. Definitely recommend! **also came during Latin Night on a Saturday. Pops off!
I love this place! My friends and I go some Thursdays for karaoke and we always have a blast!! The bartenders and the owners are super friendly, they have a nice pool table in the back, and their drinks are delicious! I try to tell everyone to go here, even if I want to gatekeep this cozy little place a bit.
Craft-beer haunt with rotating taps, American eats, a scenic roof deck & live music in roomy digs.
We stopped in here for Happy Hour while visiting Bozeman. Happy Hour is only offered on the main level but we were still able to sit outside overlooking Rouse St. Their appetizers and drinks on special were amazing. Big portions! It was fun to overlook the street. Our server was a sweet kid. Wish I would have found this gem earlier in the trip.
Service as a BIT slow at height of NFL Sunday games. Forgot a drink and late to check on us, but it WAS crazy! They were very friendly and food was delicious and good beer selection.
local cozy dive bar, & service industry favorite. this place is a bozeman staple with live entertainment, cheap drinks, fantastic service, cozy yummy bar food with late night food and rotating specials. there’s a pool table, open mic, a couple keno machines, and my personal favorite bartenders as a bozeman born and raised. Justin is the best, and all of the other bartenders are also great.
Fantastic hidden gem. Door in the back and you can miss it. Great food. Great drinks. Fun chill atmosphere and most inexpensive drinks in big sky. Check it out. And make sure to say hello to Nate and leave a sticker in the bathroom.
My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Ponderosa Social Club! The atmosphere was fun with lots of comfy seating and great live music that set the perfect tone for the evening. The drinks were excellent—crafted with care and served just right. They even have 4 bowling lanes in the bar! What really made the night stand out was the exceptional service from Melissa. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. The food was delicious, and the entire team made us feel welcome from start to finish. If you're looking for a spot on Bozeman with great vibes, quality drinks, tasty food, and top-notch service, I highly recommend Ponderosa Social. We’ll definitely be back!
Late night menu is so good. My party of 8 had the chicken tenders, sliders, Korn, egg rolls, chicken sandwich, and wings. Happy hour rate of $5 huckleberry tart martini was good! We were not disappointed with anything. Bowling alley, decor, and overall vibe is great! Highly recommend! We wish there was ponderosa back home.
This is a great local bar in town. I haven’t been here for years but it’s a nice low key local vibe and things are actually decently affordable instead of the overpriced downtown places. This location has lots of pool tables and one dart board so you can drink and game.
Great place for playing pool and a lil darts. Would recommend. Nice environment too and they played some banger music at least when I was there.
Came by after dinner on a Thursday evening. Bartender was annoyed that we had a large group and took awhile to order. I did leave a bigger tip, so she seemed nicer and checked up on us more. For the most part, a lot of young kids here haha. Not a bad spot for cheaper drinks.
Now this is my kind of dive bar. The decorations are wacky, the guys behind the bar are fun and sociable, the music is just a little bit niche, and you got a bigger assortment of canned and bottled beer than I've seen anywhere. Might I like to mention that the drink deals feel insane? Maybe it's just me coming in as a NYer, but I'd kill for specials like these back home! The place also has an awesome rooftop area to enjoy on nice days, but do be wary, it's cash only so make sure you've got your bills with you before you wander upstairs. The place might not win you over with exquisite eats or fancy cocktails, but why should it?
Lively hangout offering a grill-centric menu, pool tables & trivia nights, plus TVs & a patio.
Nice hangout place, great food, I liked my selection of beers. The server was great and attentive and the food arrived quickly. They had bar bingo going on.
This was our first time in Bozeman it was a stop on our way to Yellowstone Park. We chose a table outside because the weather was perfect and so was the food! The staff was great and the food was farm to table fresh!
The place was suggested to me by a person sitting on my plane ride. She was right about everything, the views were fantastic. We sat inside because the patio was full but the views were still great. The service was a little slow so I said something and the manager came over asap and made everything right!!! The food was fantastic, we had the Crab Rangoon mozzarella sticks and the smoked trout dip. Both delicious!! I also had a Lavender Haze drink that I would highly recommend. Once again the views were outstanding!
Very cozy and nice bar with a beautiful view to the mountains of Montana. A must to go spot in Bozeman. Drinks were good. We got the Gold Rush, a very citrusy and refreshing bourbon drink, and the Branding Iron which is your regular old fashion bourbon. We order the Disco Fries to eat and the flavor was amazing. It’s a big dish and plenty to share with another person. Definitely, I recommend this place at sunset so you can enjoy the majestic views sipping a good drink!
Compact nightclub offering regional microbrews in casual digs, plus live music, DJs & a dance floor.
This might be the best place to play poker in town. Dealers on point. Only place downtown with $3 drinks (while sitting at a poker table). Comfortable chairs, friendly service, affordable drinks, and great poker. Music can get loud Friday and Saturday… but still a fun and great spot to play low stakes poker.
I’m heartbroken to say that The Zebra Club is no longer the beloved local gem it once was. This used to be my favorite bar — a place where community and character mattered. Sadly, the ownership has made some baffling and frankly disrespectful changes that have gutted the soul of the place. Gone are the cherished Polaroids of bartenders and regulars that gave the bar its sense of history and belonging. Those photos weren’t just decor — they were a living, growing scrapbook of our community. Erasing them feels like erasing us. Even worse, the dedicated TV that only played Bob Ross episodes — a quirky, comforting staple that set the vibe — has been replaced. Bob Ross brought calm, creativity, and a quiet kind of joy to the bar. It was unique, and it mattered. Now, the Zebra feels generic — like any other bar trying to be something it’s not. What made it special has been stripped away. I miss the warmth. I miss the weirdness. I miss the heart. Bring back the Polaroids. Bring back Bob Ross. Bring back what made the Zebra Club ours.
