Really enjoyable place. New bartender needs some work but that is to be expected. Anything that we didn't like they remade. Not a service you usually get. Love the atmosphere and what they are doing with their own spirits. Went to an event there and it was great. The food was supplied by a food truck whoch was excellent.
The Post is such a special place. I’m glad this establishment exists. I love the atmosphere, the people, and all the events. It’s really a delightful place and on top of all this, they just released their very own wine selection that is exceptional.
Crow is an amazing bartender! He made me some of the best drinks I’ve ever had, including a creative off-menu cocktail he came up with on the spot. His energy behind the bar is top-notch, and he really makes the whole experience fun. As we were leaving, I mentioned a creepy guy that had been bothering me and Crow was immediately ready to step in and handle it. Felt totally looked after. 10/10, no notes — highly recommend grabbing a drink with him behind the bar!
We found our way to The Other Room before a concert, and we're so glad we did. The ambiance was delightfully subdued and elegant, the drinks were absolutely fabulous, and the bartender was a master at his craft. We will definitely be going back.
this was my second & last visit to the "corn shucker" beer haus...while it's somewhat unique in Lincoln - poor service & staff isn't a plus - what a great opportunity to showcase German culture - instead it's average & ordinary beer selection - I didn't see a Hefeweizen on tap - ? no german wines?...even 2 would be wonderful, just a Liebfraumilch or reisling, why expect everyone in a party to want a beer?..I was really up for a glass of zeller schwartz katz, instead the bar maid pulled a bottle of WARM chardonnay off the shelf- when I tried to suggest/implore the surly bar manger to consider a German wine offering, he said "this is a beer haus, go next door if you want wine"...OK, good idea, you won't have to ask me twice - he forgets I'll tell anyone who listens now about that experience...PS almost forgot to ask ? why aren't any of the staff smiling?...I saw ONE staff member among a dozen with a smile - toxic work environment?..you'll be the judge
This is a cool place. The inside is neat, and my husband really enjoys their Beer. they have a very limited menu. We tried the special “blueberry sausage and pancakes” and was disappointed that the pancakes were just the frozen pancakes I get for my kids.
Happening tavern delivering live blues & jazz music almost every night of the week since 1973.
This bar is such an eclectic bar of blues memorabilia. It’s a great place to have a drink, catch up with others or listen to music when there’s a band playing. Because we were there during ZooFest there were no inside bands so we took advantage for photo ops.
Gigged here, from Oklahoma, on our way to Iowa for a festival. Awesome venue. Full band setup and it was great. Sound staff were wonderful. Beer was cold and refreshing. Staff were friendly and attentive. Great location too.
Attended a live show and the venue, while small, is a GREAT club setting! Saw 5 GREAT bands! Bartenders were AWESOME and staff for the venue went above and beyond by hooking my son up with one of the bands lead singers so they could talk music! Will definitely be back!
A show I went to last night got moved here last minute. This place is great! The bartender was awesome. It's a very inclusive and comfortable place and has decent priced drinks!
We always visit here when we come to town on game days. We’re from Oklahoma. The people & atmosphere is very welcoming. They make you feel right at home. SO MUCH FUN ! I highly recommend
The old pub is my go to for years! The owners and staff are fantastic 🥳 The only reason it’s not 5 stars(at the moment) is cuz Chelsea is a weaker bartender, but she’s doing her best, and hopefully her skills improve with the help of the fantastic skilled and highly professional bar staff here at the pub! 💕✨
Sure! Here's a solid review for Bar 48: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bar 48 is the go-to spot if you’re looking for a top-tier drinking experience. The atmosphere is upscale yet welcoming, and the real star is Riley, the bartender. His knowledge of bourbon is impressive, and he knows how to craft the perfect drink every time. Yes, the pricing is on the higher end, but you absolutely get what you pay for—premium quality, expert mixology, and a fantastic overall experience. If you appreciate a well-made cocktail and great service, this is the place to be!
We had a great night out at Bar48 last night! I really appreciate that they offer live entertainment — the environment was clean, respectable, and beautifully decorated. The staff was top-notch, the bartenders made excellent drinks, and the pizza was absolutely delicious! However, I do want to share some honest feedback about the comedy show. The opening act, Heather Jones, was extremely vulgar and foul-mouthed. I’ve been to many comedy shows over the years and truly enjoy a good laugh, but unfortunately, her performance was not funny — just crass. Honestly, I felt like I wasted my $10 cover charge having to sit through it. The headliner, Nick Allen, started out a little rough as well, but to his credit, he read the room, adjusted his material, and ended up being genuinely funny. We’ll definitely be back because it’s such a great venue — but we will absolutely skip any future shows featuring Heather Jones. Thanks again to the wonderful staff for making it such a welcoming and enjoyable place overall!
Young female bartender Tuesday 12/10/24. We arrived late after a late dinner for a after dinner cocktail before we went home. The bartender complained about the owners of the bar. We didn't want to hear any of this we were trying to enjoy our evening. She said the ppl who bought the bar owned piedmont bistro and venue and only bought the place for the property. She complained about all the college kids that came in and didn't tip. Well, if she was as nasty to them as she was to us, I don't blame them! Then she ignored everyone at the bar and looked at her phone. She was rude, disrespectful and unprofessional and she bashed the establishment that was giving her a paycheck. Who employs people like this that ruins the experience of evey patron who walks in the door? I will NEVER go back to Harry's Wonder Bar after that miserable experience!
Bartenders have bad haircuts. 5 stars.
Tavern on the Square is the perfect Haymarket bar. If you ever find yourself in Lincoln and see the recommendations to "check out the Haymarket" and want the atmosphere of what it's all about here, Tavern on the Square is the place to go. Stop in for a quick one on a quiet Sunday or grab one last drink before you get a ride home on your day off. Tavern is the place to do so. In my experience, the staff will treat you with as much respect as you give them (because apparently they rub some people the wrong way). They are all fantastic people if you spend the time and talk to them. I cannot recommend this bar enough!
They kicked me out of their outside area all because I put my head down onto the table. They said “I can’t have people sleeping in here this is a bar.” I told them I was not sleeping and that I was calling someone and showed them my phone which showed me waiting for someone to pick up and they still proceeded to tell me I had to leave. I did nothing wrong. All I did was lay my head down on the table literally. Wasn’t sleeping and proved that. Still kicked me out. In a rude way not to mention. Seemed like they were trying to put on a show for the other people there. I am a 24 year old female and I was there by myself and I was already having a hard day and then they did this to me. Will never go there again. Edit: now they replied and said they need to protect their business? And it’s a rule to not lay your head on a table at a bar? For less than a minute? Even after I proved I was not sleeping and I was calling someone? Not to mention the way they kicked me out purposely trying to embarrass me in front of everyone. This place is despicable. If you haven’t already look at the other 1 star reviews because it speaks for itself. 0 stars if I could. Absolutely disgusting how they reply to people that are just speaking the truth also. Horrible business and I will be posting on the bad business page I’m in too.
I'm gonna be a bit bias about my review due to the fact that I'm a Sinatra/Rat Pack fan. This place gives off that kind of vibe. In fact they have a few posters of Sinatra in this joint. Think "Catch me if u can" movie. That 50's feel martini bar. I would say it needs to be more dimly lit. Good drinks and plenty of seating. I visited this place twice in one day. 5-6pm crowd was small but not empty. 10-11pm the place was crowded, hot and uncomfortable. I'd go again but during early hours to avoid the crazy crowd.
🍸 Starlight Lounge Martini Bar: Retro Charm Meets Cocktail Perfection 💚 Walking into Starlight Lounge feels like stepping into a mint-green time capsule—in the best way. The throwback interior oozes vintage charm, setting the perfect mood for a night of classic indulgence. Their martinis? Always spot-on. Whether you’re into the timeless dirty or something with a twist, they nail the balance every time. It’s no surprise this place is always buzzing—great drinks, great energy, and a crowd that knows where the good stuff is. If you’re craving a cocktail with character and a setting that makes you feel like you’re in on a secret, Starlight delivers.
Aged beef, shellfish & happy-hour specials are the mainstays at this clubby yet casual chain.
Was there for the KZUM fundraiser. Been there a few times. Great place to see a band! Super chill. Cheap drinks. Friendly staff!
This place is really growing on me. Started frequenting occasionally as the live music line up evolves. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, nice location.
Ran into this place unexpectedly because the bar my boyfriend and I wanted to go to was closed. Laura G (bartender) was SO AWESOME and sweet and very good at her job! We had so much fun! The drinks and food are reasonably priced, the place was fully decorated for Halloween, their regulars were very nice as well. We are so glad we ended up finding this bar instead because it is now a core memory from our anniversary road trip :)
Sadly, some Lincoln Natives don’t know about the magic of Steve O’s. Great bartenders, nice people, talented singers, and don’t even get me started on the production and prop selection! One trip to Steve O’s and you’ll be there for a good time AND a long time!
wow this is a place, great place for to be at.
A great place to go for an after game party with people if all ages. And some pretty girls too.
Exposed-brick haunt with a back patio & billiards pours giant fishbowl drinks & hosts live bands.
The people that go Here seem really cool. They were really friendly. But the girl bartender was mean. Not only did she take my $20 drink (that I only had a few sips of but understandable if it it was unattended for as long as you said) But I told her I went to throw up because I didnt feel good. And asked me if I threw up in the bar I was like yeah I went to the bathroom and she told me that that wasn’t allowed and that I needed to leave. I started on asking for a water and she just kept repeating herself that I needed to leave now. I said that was cool and I got up to leave. I won’t be coming back. It’s not as if I puked on your bar floor I used the bathroom. And Still as a paying customer I had a right to have a cup of water.
Went out for my birthday. I got double charged on my card last night for 2 fishbowls. Thats $90 for two fish bowls. Don't use tap to pay & please make this right.
The show was great from start to finish. The opening acts did their part by working the crowd into a frenzy. By the time Afroman took the stage the audience was all in, and he put on a great performance. He's still got the swag to excite the crowd. He played to his strengths and as his fans, we ate it up. The Royal Grove was perfect for the performance. The venue was clean and very user friendly. Every member of the Royal Grove staff did their part to make sure every guest was made to feel welcome and comfortable. The drink prices were in line with the going rate at other comparable venues, and the drinks were well-made. There was plenty of free on-site parking. Five stars for Afroman for a great performance, and five stars to the Royal Grove for hosting his show. "I shall return!" Not quite as dramatic as when General MacArthur said it, but said with enthusiam and sincerity.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Im new to Nebraska and the edm scene is alot different here then home🧀(wi,mn). The Royal Grove is the one venue that makes me feel back at home! Ive not had 1 single bad experience when going to the Grove and will always recommend this place. The bathrooms are always clean, the employees always are so helpful and friendly, and the vibes are always immaculate! Overall the atmosphere is so wonderful! They are always blasting off co2 and confetti🎊 and have top notch lasers/visuals🤯⭐️! They even shot out cash at one show!!🤑💰💸💲This place is the best and the shows ive been to have always went past 1am which is awesome! If I could give this place more than ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5 stars, I would! If you haven't been to The Royal Grove yet I HIGHLY recommend it!!! Thank you for bringing the best of the best to Nebraska and never disappointing!!!
College sports bar offering a roof deck with stadium views & a typical menu of beer & comfort food.
Always a good place to eat and today they have 0.99 wings. Barbecue, garlic Parmesan, buffalo and dry rub. Always love this place. Definitely a classic in Lincoln. Bar food. Phenomenal
We went on Wednesday night worst server on the rooftop The way she served our food, she tossed the food and did not give us napkins simple water to start with. Not once she came to our table to ask for anything. I hope management team will consider this and hire a better server who actually want to work.
You won't be allowed in if you're pansexual. Don't wear anything that might indicate you have a different sexual orientation. They specifically told me that "I'm not welcome there." Maybe they should educate themselves on what pansexual means.
Asked person to watch my kid after I had to fire my babysitter to pay the cover, they got rather upset to me but when I called and asked they said my milkshake would bring all the boys the yard that’s why I thought my son would be accepted. This club also had nothing to do with Fight Nights at Freddie’s so not a great place to bring a child unless your trying to let your son lose his virginity.
I recently attended an event at Main Street Bar in Lincoln, and what I witnessed was appalling. One of the security guards was inappropriately touching multiple women, many of whom were underage. It was clear that everyone was uncomfortable as he made his rounds, putting his hands on girls without consent. After seeing enough, I decided to say something and told him to keep his hands to himself. Instead of taking responsibility, he became defensive, denied everything, and even attempted to put his hand on me. I repeated my request for him to back off, and his response was to tell me that since I was so “uncomfortable,” I needed to leave. Yes, you read that right—I was kicked out for standing up for myself and other women being harassed by a member of the bar’s staff. What’s worse, when I got outside, I spoke to another security guard who admitted that I wasn’t the first to complain about this guy. And yet, he was still inside working the event, while I was left outside, punished for calling out his disgusting behavior. Main Street Bar, you need to get your act together. Allowing a staff member to harass women is unacceptable, and kicking out those who stand up for themselves is beyond outrageous. It’s time to have a serious conversation with your team about consent, respect, and personal boundaries. Until then, I won’t be back, and I’ll make sure others know about this terrible experience.
Great music and overall service! The downside is the dance floor is small and secluded in the back. The bar is nice but you def don't have enough staff for the amount of attention your establishment draws!! It waited almost 40 minutes for a drink!! A few minor changes could make quite change in this place!
Very homophobic dress code. My friends and I came, 2 of us came one was wearing a sleeveless sequence shirt and a sleeveless knit shirt. We were denied entry because of no sleeves but the group after us (women) were wearing sleeveless shirts and dresses and were let in no problem. It’s 2025 and many people do not subscribe to gender norms with clothing. This is an extreme form of discrimination. We went over to Das Haus and the Fat Toad with no problems.
Visiting from NYC and the music and vibes were really good!! Didn’t drink here so can’t vouch for that. Charged a $3 cover fee after 11 PM.
