Today was my first time visiting Cellar 8's Press Cafe in downtown Carson City, and I can already tell it won’t be my last. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the amazing atmosphere, inviting, stylish, and full of charm. The coffee bar is a showstopper, beautifully designed and clearly a centerpiece of the space. I decided to ease into the experience with a pomegranate tea, and it was absolutely perfect, flavorful, and soothing. If you're looking for a cozy spot to unwind, catch up with friends, or just enjoy a high quality drink in a lovely setting, Press Cafe is a must visit. Can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu!

Absolutely amazing experience. The owner was so attentive and gave us great recommendations of wine tastings. She also gave us great food recommendations. Highly recommend for anyone who visits Carson City. Definitely coming back.

This place is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Carson City. I've been meaning to check it out ever since they opened up a little over a year ago and I'm kicking myself for not stopping in sooner! Not only is the 1898 home that it resides in historic, filled with all kinds of antiques, photos and paintings to check out, it just just oozing with cool factor. Maybe because it was winter, cold and rainy when I came by with my wife but the place felt so warm and welcoming and of course, our bartender was super friendly and attentive. Heck, I even got to meet Travis, the owner of this place and found out that he used to live in this home and used his time here to fix it up into the White House that it is today. Now, I should note that the main reason for coming here is to imbibe and preferably with friends and they really have a great selection of beers and more importantly for me, bourbons to choose from and as you can guess, they do offer plenty of specialty cocktails as well. The main bar up front has enough seating for about 6 people and there's a cozy 4 person table by the lovely large window but there's also a second bar around back and with plenty of seating in the main room. That said, if you come by on a nice day, there's tons of seating and 5 fire pits outside to enjoy your drinks and watch the sun go down. There is a stage that does bring in live music from time to time and while they don't serve food directly, they do have an outstanding taco truck that parks out front on Thursdays and a variety of other trucks come on the weekends. Need I say, this is a place I would highly recommend you check out for yourself. You won't be disappointed!

The lady in the front is very nice and very welcoming. I got some eggs and they were awesome! I love the fact they have the fire place outside and inside as well. It's super cozy and nice environment. I love the stain glass they have in their windows it's super colorful! It would definitely be a YES to come back and have dinner here and listen to the band!

Carson Piazza Bar is a wonderful Italian restaurant right across from the Capitol building. They have an outdoor dining area for the summer months. Inside is a nice ambiance with a fireplace. There is an extensive selection of wine and the lunch menu was very good. The Shrimp Salad was great! Friendly service rounded out an excellent experience!

I was only there for a short time trying to see the boxing match between Haney/Garcia but it was one of the most hospitable times I've had in my life. Sandra (co-owner) went out of her way to accommodate us in only a Carson city person would do. A food truck readily available to feed the drinking crowd. A band was playing in the back so well I thought it was a record, and my only regret is that I heard about this spot earlier in my trip and that didn't have more time. During my whole time there I was floored with the hospitality of ALL the Carson city establishments. I look forward to visiting again sometime in the future, and I definitely look forward to spending more time at the Tap Shack.

This is one of the most fun places to drink in Carson City and it has a great local vibe that I absolutely love! It really is the kind of place that is easy to miss being that it's located off the main drag but that's part of what makes it so cool. It's like you're imbibing in a secret hideout meant for you and your friends. Inside the Tap Shack, there's plenty of seating at the bar but there are also high tops along the wall that make it easier to hang out and chat with friends. Of course, there's plenty of seating outside and a lot of fun to be on a nice summer evening. Drinks are reasonably priced, the service here is super friendly and if you follow them on Facebook, they'll let you know when live music and or food trucks will be there. I really can't say enough about how much I enjoy this place and whether you're a local or just looking for an enjoyable evening as you pass through town, I would highly recommend that you give it a try as well.

Sorry.... but it's a rat hole. Power drinkers and alcoholics who think they're funnier the louder and more obnoxious they get. Parking is terrible and not well lit. Im fairness, the bartenders are very friendly.

Went for a drink. Was taught that life is full of beautiful people inside and out. Bartender beautiful young with old sole love for people and community. Great atmosphere be your self..you will be treate accordingly. Eat drink and be marry put the politics and religion down.

It's a really comforting dive bar.

Entering this bar with ceiling-high decorative paintings and nice cold air from the Nevada heat was refreshing. It was an interesting bar with over 40 selections of cocktails which is always an A+ in my book, 7 unique cocktails later with one being a peanut butter whiskey cocktail being the 🏆 winner. Prices do get expensive to around $14-17 but it was worth the visit and would call this bar the Main cocktail bar to go to when you visit Carson City or for any occasion.

Discovered this cute place during my ski trip. They have a fireplace outside and a music room indoors. They play live music on Thursdays. A mix of older and younger crowd, mostly locals but they are super nice and easy to talk to. They have an extensive cocktail menu for a small town. Around $15 each and they are well made. Huckleberry lemon drop is very sweet. Howard and make it black is more spirit-forward. I had a great time here and would definitely come back! Enjoy!

One of many local 'dive bars' in Carson City. What sets Ed's Doghouse apart from the rest? A nice, helpful owner and kind staff. Open early on Saturdays so you can watch football. Internet for the customers. And he makes a great Bloody Mary! 5 TVs showing sports with sound on, balanced, so as not to disturb others on a different TV. The one star missing is due to aesthetics and comfort only. Could use a makeover but that's a minor quibble and not different from all the other local dives.

This is a must visit for anyone who enjoys imbibing in old historic saloons! Originally established in 1875, it is the oldest operating bar in Carson City and it is filled to the brim with old western charm. All the walls are covered with old photos, news clipping and there's even an old news paper featuring the very first ad they took out back in 1881. That said, what really makes this such a great place to quench your thirst is that it's located in the heart of the old downtown so it's a perfect place to start a fun evening before talking a nice walk to one of the many restaurants nearby. Also, while you'd think it'd have more of a touristy feel, the vibe inside is super friendly and has a very welcoming 'locals' feel to it. Best of all, the pours here are generous, reasonably priced and I would highly recommend you stop in if you're passing through town or become a regular if you live in town.

Everyone needs to go! Best burgers in town, hotdogs are great too! Burgers Fries and tots Hot everytime we go. The cook is so accomidating, service fabulous, fresh ingredients. I'm a burger Connoisseur, and I will say the awesome meal did NOT disappoint 😋 👌 🙌 !!!!♡♡♡♡

Its really cool little places like this bar are finding ways to allow live music from local talent to play. Owner is a cool guy & the people who are serving drinks are smiling. Great little 'where everyone knows your name' feeling when you walk in.

Great place to eat and have a cold one, Jeff is the owner and a great host (tell him Guss recommend the place). They have live music and karaoke on most weekends. Good people and fun environment. Pool tables, Darts, Video Gambling at the bar, lots of seating.

What a great little venue, they have platinum albums from all kinds of different groups, and much more. I had a blast, thought the show was awesome Pablo Cruise! Great night! Great Place, Great Atmosphere, Great People!

We love the Social Nashville Club. It’s one of our favorite places in Carson City. The appetizers are especially fantastic. The staff is always wonderful and super friendly. We love coming for the happy hour- it’s the best around. The bar lounge area is very comfortable and makes you feel welcome. Brunch is also excellent. Can’t recommend enough!

Our group of 6 came in to pig out and watch football, and The Fox did NOT disappoint!! All of their beers are cold and flavorful, and the food was amazing. The wings are delicious, and we got to choose from a wide variety of homemade sauces. The pizza dough, sauce, and toppings were all fresh, and our fried pickles appetizer was perfect! We had to take home the chicken Alfredo pasta for dinner (the BEST chicken Alfredo pasta I’ve ever had). Our server Brie was fantastic, as always. She’s nice, attentive, and can take care of an entire dining room alone without ever missing a beat. All of the support staff were super friendly and helpful. Kids eat free on Sundays, and my son loved his kids pizza, and his friend loved her chicken tenders. We had a blast watching football and eating wonderful food. The Fox is definitely the place to go!! 🦊🍺

4.3 is a joke...easy 5! Alex seated us and gave us some beer highlights as well as brought them to us. The recommendations were spot on! I had the Kings Fall Pilsner and my brother had the Hop Tahoe IPA. Jocelyn was our server and she had some highlights of her own. Not to mention the great smile. I got the chicken pot pie and it is ridiculous. Piping hot and full of flavor...not to mention the flaky crust was perfect. I had to slow down just to write the review. Then the spicy hot wings with Josefina's special spices...that's going to hurt tomorrow! Enjoy the beer AND food! I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks ladies!

So glad a bartender in Virginia city recommended this place to us, burgers are awesome, don't pass this place up while traveling through Carson.

**Update** Happy to say, with prices going up up up everywhere...Pour House has kept the prices the same. Found this place by accident, it was serendipity! Nice little bar with really great food, so good we've been in 3 times in 2 weeks. Amazing Alaskan Cod Fish & Chips with homemade tartar sauce. Penguin Tacos WOW... Just so so good... Nice big tacos filled with seasoned ground beef, fresh crisp lettuce & tomatoes and of course shredded cheese, I cannot truly describe what makes them so good, but they are delicious! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Best hidden gem in Carson!!

Service was excellent. The place was fun and packed full of really cool old carriages and Americana. The food was good and a solid portion for the price. Unfortunately, the ribs were on a bed of chilled fried onions and next to fries too cooled to eat. The shepherd's pie was unevenly heated through, with some hotter spots and other bites less warm. It was a great dish, especially with the flaky crust. It just had a poor execution by the kitchen. The server made it right with a quick warm-up. Not the best experience, but hopefully it was just an off day.

I want to say I like this place but it just wasn't for me, it's 4 stars because of the staff. For the price you do get a good amount of food and it comes out hot and ready The style of the place is very unique and has an interesting aesthetic to it which is very appealing to a lot of people. I will say the seating can be tricky if you aren't taller or if you have kids in certain sections of the restaurant so make sure you get the spot you need. The waiter did an amazing job for us being patient and helping us out when one of our party couldn't eat some of the food.

Sadly I missed pics of the burger and ribs and only caught the onion rings. Food was solid, definitely above average for the greater area, especially for the price. Service was prompt and courteous.

I doordash a lot from you guys, maybe the cooks were angry about the order? But this is the 2nd time I have had only maybe 1/4 of the Togo cup filled with cheese. Please offer a more consistent bigger serving or the ability to order extra cheese on doordash.

Incredible selection of liquors! The staff is the most knowledgeable in Carson City if not northern Nevada. Prices are reasonable and the pool tables are straight and true!

I went and got a Picon Punch, which I learned recently became the state drink of Nevada! The drink was good, and they had many good offerings, but it seemed like a very local centric bar (which is not a bad thing!) It just means that me, as a traveler, was not able to meet people like I would like. Also it was harder to get service bc the bartender was with their friends. This all does make sense, since I was recommended this place by a local. So if you are from Carson City, I would check it out!

Love this place Keith the owner super nice guy. Captain Morgan best bartender in town. Always some kind of music going on. I do the open mics super fun. Acoustic jam on Sunday at 5 great time. No food at this 21 and over bar though we ordered in some pizza and an Uber eats delivered a bucket of chicken when I was there. If you have not visited the Polecat Tavern let me tell you - you are really missing out! The acoustics in the room makes the live music and twice a month Karaoke sound great AND you can talk to your pals easily - that is made possible by Keith Barnett and his magical foam? wall and corner treatments. Plus there really are poles and some patrons (OK, me...) do really use them for dancing. You can sit at a table or recline on the couch, play a board game with someone or do some solo bar top gaming. This is THE PLACE for live music and strutting your stuff since the mic is open whenever someone is not on stage. If you go early you could sing a song or tell a joke - be a star for a moment!

Very nice place and very busy. We were there at lunch and had been seated about 5 minutes when 4 ladies came in and sat next to us. They got waited on first. Sorry but as a life long Hospitality worker, that don't fly. I feel the server was completely overwhelmed by the size of her station. I will give you another shot. Food was very impressive. Did the 9.99 boneless wings and a side of fries. Split it with my daughter in-law. Very tasty. Next time I shall arrive earlier and enjoy an adult beverage.

Go every week. Danny and his wife, along with Robbie, are awesome. They make you feel like family. Grandson and I love to go there and just have a blast! Great pro shop, and they also have personal training sessions available. Overall, it's just good clean fun place to enjoy! They have great food at the cafe, and pool tables are sweet!!!
