Festive pub & eatery with motorcycles decor is a local chain for hearty meals & arcade games.
We had the Mundo hundo and dough burger. Generous portions for average prices. Overall, it tasted good. There’s room for improvement in terms of being bold with flavors, but with the options they can’t go wrong. Dog friendly but outside seating.
At Farley's, it was awesome to hang out on the patio with my dog. The staff was super friendly. Our waitress was excellent. The food was perfect. You know when you get that feeling in your stomach when you taste something that is so delicious it grabs your guts and you have to drink some water lol . Just look at my picture. That burger was it. Super delicious. I recommend everything. But if it's your first time, you have to get the green chili wontons.
The good: 1) My server, forgot her name, was very good. She was attentive, quick, and I didn't have to ask for a drink re-fill, she saw I was running low, and brought me another drink. I really appreciate when servers are attentive to those small details. 2) I ordered the Green Chile Wontons and they were good overall. I'll include my critique of the wontons in the bad section. 3) The burgers were very good sized. I ordered the Mondo Hondo (I believe that's what it was called) and it is a very big burger with two patties. 4) I thought the presentation was decent. However, that is where the good ends. The bad: 1) I ordered the burger cooked medium but it was closer to medium rare in one part of the burgers and was well done on the other sides of both patties--so it was inconsistent. 2) The burger patties were bland. There was no seasoning at all. 3) The fries were run of the mill and weren't seasoned either. 4) The Coke I had tasted just slightly on the flat side. And finally, 5) the wontons need more filling. Almost all of them had half the filling they should have had. Now I am ready to say that maybe they just had an off-day and what I experienced is not typical of their food and what it is about. I understand people can have off-days, nobody is perfect. The server asked me how things were and I said good. I said good because one time, at a different restaurant in another city, I told a server that I thought the food was bad and she became slightly defensive and a tad argumentative. So now I just don't share what I am thinking if the food is below average or bad, because I don't want to make them feel bad or feel offended, like I just insulted their mother. Overall impression: Well below average and disappointing, especially for the price points at which their food is set.
Farley's is a fun place to stop and have meal. The food was busy when we arrived but we were seated quickly. Our server was friendly and got our drink orders right away. The food was really good and the portions generous. When we're back in Las Cruces we'll stop in again.
The place was clean and nice. However, we didn't like the policy of giving you a very small amount of salad dressing for your salad. They gave us almost half a monkey dish of dressing for a large salad. Then they wanted to charge us $4 for another half full monkey dish of salad dressing. We came 300 miles to eat here to be treated like this.
