169 Bar is a cozy and inviting spot known for its relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Located conveniently in the city, it offers a great selection of drinks, including classic cocktails, craft beers, and wines. The bar features a comfortable interior with a welcoming vibe, making it perfect for casual hangouts or after-work gatherings. Guests appreciate the attentive staff and reasonably priced menu. While it may not be very large, 169 Bar’s charm lies in its intimate setting and good drink options, making it a popular choice for locals and visitors looking for a low-key, enjoyable night out.

Legendary bar on the Lower East Side. It used to be way better, but it still can't be beat. I met my wife while she worked here. We had a party for our wedding here. They used to serve oysters and food. Dave killed it, that's all gone, but the place is still outstanding—best music in any bar. You will not be disappointed, and the drink prices are still what they should be. This place is a true gem, and when it closes as all good things do... There will be a funeral and a long mourning.

169 is a ton of fun when you're looking for that dive vibe. The bartenders are quick and friendly. Decent selection of beer and a nice amount of seating inside for a mid to large group. But it can get crowded quickly and things can get backed up around the entrance. They also have some tables outside and on a weekend night its a good place to people watch with a beer and a cig.

Perfect dive bar in LES. Friendly and grungy. Pool tables in the back, generous seating. Beers could have been colder and there was no Guinness on tap when I went / the mix of 80’s/90’s grunge and graffiti vintage vibe and music just loud enough to hear the other person speak. Perhaps I was there in a quiet night, but this is definitely a place. I wouldn’t make a go to when I’m in New York City.

The vibes are fun, there’s lots of large tables for big groups, and good beer prices, but I would stick to ordering beers (but note that there’s no draft beers if that’s what you’re looking for). The cocktails on the menu range from decent to not very good, and definitely don’t order a cocktail off menu.
