Grace & Disgrace is exemplary. Hand crafted cocktails were absolutely amazing. Looks Ain't Enough was so delicious and I loved the ginger flavor. The men enjoyed the Old Fashioned and we enjoyed smelling the smokiness of it. I was so impressed as I'm not much of a drinker, but I could taste the thoughtfulness, care, and quality of the drinks. Ralph is also a wonderful person who loves doing what he does and it really showed. He shared with us his ice business and loved his metaphor of a musician group as he explained how he comes up with the drinks. He changes the menu when he sees fit, but also keeps the hits. Also, the lamb chops were delicious with that pesto sauce! If you're looking for phenomenally crafted mind-blowing drinks and small bites in an intimate setting, book your reservation now.
Awesome "hidden gem" of Rochester. Who knew this world could still spare some love for a beautifully crafted Drink? Only had two cocktails during my visit but both had their own unique delicious flavors. Food was equally impressive. Had Challah bread and Lamb. Phenomenal. Grew up in Rochester but have lived in Northern Virginia for a number of years now but I've definitely put Grace & Disgrace on my list of spots to hit when I find myself back in town. Cheers 🍸
Came in here with my girlfriend and ended up leaving with a new favorite cocktail place. The atmosphere was great and everyone was so friendly and personable and the bartenders poured a great drink. They have live music every other Tuesday which was fun and added to the atmosphere. We will be back!
Cheshire stands out as one of Rochester’s premier cocktail bars, offering an experience that effortlessly blends sophistication with warmth. The expertly crafted drinks are nothing short of legendary, and the talented, welcoming staff elevate every visit with their genuine hospitality. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between intimate speakeasy charm and contemporary style, making it feel like a well-kept secret worth discovering. Whether you're savoring handcrafted cocktails with a close group of friends or planning a private event, Cheshire delivers an unforgettable experience. For larger gatherings, advance reservations are highly recommended to ensure a seamless evening. Without a doubt, this is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking Rochester’s finest in mixology and atmosphere.
SOOOO GOOD! All NYS products! Had a beer flight and cheese board for a quick snack and could have stayed all night! Owner was an exceptional server and host!
This was my first time going to this bar. My friends and I went to an event there for Bonzai Bar which is a growing brand that travels to different bars and they are in different states. We chose this bar based on the dates that was available. I thought the bar was a nice set up. It was kinda tricky finding The bar based on the Google directions. The sign on the outside does not stick out so you really need to look at the building to find the bar. The bar area is a little small and if there are many people there the bar area is very cramped but there is a back room with some tables and a nice sitting lounge area with a couch and comfortable arm chairs to. They do have food you can order. I would say the menu is pricey not your typical bar food. We ordered the cheese board and for 5 people to share was small, you would definitely have to order two for every one to get a nice snack out of it. The cheese though was very good. If you like the "stinky" cheese you will like the cheese offered. The atmosphere is chill and the music is nice. We don't travel to the city much so if your looking for a new spot to try check out this place, I recommend it!
When we arrived, we were there for a wedding celebration. However, there were apparently no reservations or anything (I would certainly at least let the staff know considering the size of the place). The staff was able to quickly cobble tables together and accommodate the 16+ people group coming. A+++ for service there! We had a burger and the latke tots, a couple of glasses of red wine. All of the food was excellent (portions a little smaller than I would want, but we just ordered more food and it came out pretty quickly, so not a huge deal). Atmosphere was great for a small place. Decor is filled with a ton of Jacks. Surprisingly little place. Feels very intimate. Two thumbs up.
Had a great time! The food is good and simple but thoughtful I really liked the Chicago hot dog and the special they had at the time. My fiancé liked the drinks. I would come back and the service is good, bathrooms were clean
Went into the bar with 2 friends to play darts, when we entered the bar, there was a huge dog inside, nevertheless we sat down, and the dog approached and I ask the woman to please get the dog, the dog wasn't on any leash, she turned to me and said, your the only one in here have a problem with my dog, I said I don't have a problem with the dog, I just don't like when they lick on me, she said, ok fine an leaving, i said miss you dont have to leave, the bartender at the bar, said to me DONT TALK TO HER LIKE THAT, SHE STAYS YOU CAN LEAVE, this is a bar that serves food to people and you ALLOW dogs into a bar? Unbelievable, he was very racist against me and my friends, so we left I went to the bar accross from them, Sorry were open, and very nice service there!
One of my favorite spots downtown. The staff are incredibly friendly and personable. The beer selection is great and reasonably priced, which is nice. They have a nice pool table, literally the only one downtown anymore. There are so many reasons to make this place your go to low key hang out. Also if you do play pool, bring your A game...
I love Roar!!! I just wish they didn't play the music as loud as they did last time we were there. It was almost in audible. I love the place. It's fun and the food is awesome. Shout out to the bartenders. Especially the one lady with the short hair.
I'm still under the age of 21, but I try to go here every Saturday night for drag night. And let me tell you!!! The queens? Fabulous! Hans? My favorite dancer EVER! The bartenders? Super accommodating and helped me find the water station when I was still a newbie! The atmosphere? Every time I go I swear there's some new and crazy cool addition to this place, and it blows me away every time! Only problem I've ever run into was a frequent attendee there named Nathan. He would always try to grab me and dance with me, and it didn't matter if I told him no, he'd follow me! But thank God for the security, because everytime I bring it up to them, he ends up getting kicked out! The staff, dancers, and performers are the coolest, kindest, most accommodating people. All the love for them and all the love for ROAR!
MC’s Dugout in Rochester is a local dive that has some great character. I think more people come here for a drink than to actually eat. I’m basing my rating on the food at this place. The restaurant is mostly a quick serve establishment. This means they buy frozen or premade items and put it on a plate. Most of the food they serve is friend. Forget any allergy accommodations here. The fries were not great. They had a coating on them reminiscent of a cheap frozen fries which they were. The Marconi salad pictured is just a store bought item again placed in a bowl and served to you. We ended up not even eating it unfortunately. The burger was decent, again nothing fresh really other than the vegetables. We ordered them medium, sadly we should have done them a bit more as this is not a fresh burger that is worthy. Overall it’s a good atmosphere as mentioned above. I wish them success.
First time here for Thursday trivia. Great neighborhood establishment. Kind of like CHEERS. Quick service attentive servers. I don't drink but my pop(soda) was good.
It's literally just a sitting area.
Amazing place for goths and punks! I been all around the country, glad there's still the few in our country that keeps these places going! It takes a community these days.
Love it here!! The owner/bartender Patty is amazing! Dave the bouncer is awesome! Eric the bartender upstairs is awesome as well! The crowd is always different but you definitely see a mix of everyone. The drinks are really good prices.
Stopped here on our way through from Albany to Indiana. Was hoping for delicious gluten free food and some cocktails. We were pleasantly surprised that we found lots of delicious things to eat, but we got the Friday night specials for everybody we were dining with. Stopped in with two kids (4 and 8) and it was perfect. They had lemonade and shared a fish fry! The prices were surprisingly well priced.
We recently met at Classic Kitchen & Cocktails in Rochester for a family-style meal (catered per our request) after a funeral. I can't say enough about the staff and their care. From the moment we arrived, they made everything smooth and stress-free, which meant a lot during this tough time. Drew and his team were professional, compassionate, and attentive, but never intrusive. They managed our large group easily. Food and drinks were served quickly, and everyone felt comfortable. The family-style dishes were not only generous but also delicious. They were exactly what we needed to connect and share a meal. It’s uncommon to find a restaurant that combines efficiency with such warmth, but Classic Kitchen & Cocktails truly did. We are very grateful for their hospitality and kindness.
Great find in Rochester. I was in town on business and went exploring, happy to have found this spot. Great drinks and service. Vibe was friendly and laid back. Excellent music playing and just a damn good bar.
One of my favorite bars. It's hit or miss whether it's busy but the Irish feel and clean atmosphere are welcoming. Quick draw, Dart boards, pool tables plus opening at 8am are a good bonus. Usually on holidays the family brings a nice spread to share with those that don't have anywhere to go. Superbowl, Thanksgiving and St Patrick's day are the best. Great place to watch baseball, football, or soccer during the world cup.
I'm so happy we stopped here. Best neighborhood bar on Rochester. Thanks Mike for a wonderful afternoon. We so appreciate you have a neighborhood bar with top shelf liquor. Much appreciated! ❤️ 510 Monroe Ave, Rochester, NY. Best neighborhood bar, ever! PS. Visit Sol Burrito, 521 Monroe Ave!
Lady charged me 29 dollars for a Bombay and Lemonade and they're 10 dollar special drinks
Spacious sports bar offering pub food with a twist, plus projection screens, pool & games.
Good vibes. I liked it here despite not being g a bar person. Food was good. The evil sauce is non refundable and that should tell you all you need to know. cauliflower wings were delicious. They have board games here which I think is a great touch. 3 big projector screens
There's nothing I don't love about Marshall Street. Don't & his entire crew are some of the most awesome, friendly people I've ever met. They treat you like family. Food is always on point, drinks are just as great. I recommend this place to everyone I know. Especially out of town friends and family. Marshall Street is truly one of Rochester's gems.
From the moment you walk in all your senses are awaken. The smells, the sounds, the textures of the design, the drinks. Do yourself a favor and come here. Love this place. Genius!
Awesome bar with great ambience and vibes! The drinks are creative and well balanced and the food is spectacular! Nothing is as awesome as having people from all walks of life hanging out together and having a good time! As I already said. I highly recommend the food, Tatiana is a fantastic chef!!
Vintage-chic cocktail spot with 300+ whiskeys & other spirits, plus food-truck burgers & fries.
Located right on Alexander St., this place has the atmosphere, drinks, and food that everyone is looking for. Recommend the shrimp tacos paired with a rum sour. Has outside patio area in the back and a second story deck for a little bit higher vantage point. Great date night spot. Friendly staff, great decorum for that intimate pub feel. Reasonably priced food and drinks won't break your wallet. 5 stars all around. 👍
This was not what I was expecting but in a good way. I thought this would be a larger restaurant but it is very small and quaint. We got here early just after 5 and pulled 2 tables together. It took a little while to get served but only because these was one staff member working. She did an amazing her name started with an A but can't remember. I celebrated my birthday with my son and my brother. Bartender was more than willing to help us look for a couple bourbons. Prices for some bourbons were fantastic and others were a little off price but that's my opinion and probably based on what they have to pay for bottles. The food was great except for the brisket on the platter. (Little tough and very spicy) but I just switched meals with my son. Everything else was amazing.
Looking for a place to lose track of time and find your new favorite band? Bad Ending is the answer. This unassuming dive bar is a haven for those seeking a taste of the authentic, a place where the music roars and the spirits soar. The bartenders and staff are incredibly down to earth and will make you feel right at home. The ambiance is perfect for those seeking a casual and welcoming spot to unwind day or night. But the real star of the show is the live music. From local acts to rising stars around the country, Bad Ending has a lineup that's always on point. And if you're hungry, they have an approachable food menu that consistently hits the spot. For brunch, don't sleep on their pancakes. They're so good, you might just forget why you came in the first place. At Bad Ending, you'll discover that even bad endings can have a silver lining.
Very friendly service by both bar and kitchen staff. The food was really good and well-prepared and so were the cocktails. Great seats outside to people watch. I will be coming back!!
We came for a late lunch today. Wanted try somewhere new for us. It was FANTASTIC! When I tell you the poutine ROC style was out of this world. Why have I never thought of this! The fries were crispy, bacon crispy and the queso and hot sauce has perfect amount of heat. Chicken tenders were hot and fresh. The buffalo salad had the freshest veggies! 100% I will be back.
Delicious food! I got the romaine salad with beer-battered chicken and avocado, with strawberry vinaigrette. I would absolutely get it again. Next time I wouldn't get avocado, as it wasn't very good, but the rest of the salad made up for it x100. The chicken was really really good, and I wish there was more of it for the $5 price point. My table shared a couple desserts and I would definitely recommend the carrot cake. Our server, Lilliana, was very friendly. Would love to come here again!
Snug, traditional pub serving half-pint beers to facilitate sampling of its rotating selection.
Great beer selection, despite its name, they do have full pint pours. Small English pub feel with lots of outdoor sidewalk seating. Bartenders are awesome, courteous, knowledgeable, and very quick. Bonus, dog friendly for the outside seating!
My kind of place for a relaxing beer or a drink. Always friendly barkeeps ... feel like i am in a different place (pub in England perhaps?). And i come from Orlando for it!
Cosmopolitan gastropub & raw bar with lots of windows serving high-concept American fare.
First time coming here and staff was friendly and attentive. It was earlier than the normal dinner crowd so not as loud as I'm sure it can get. Food was incredibly fresh and beautifully plated. Higher quality ingredients were used and from what I've heard the menu rotates seasonally. The garlic parm fries were so fresh & flavorful. The wings were crispy, a bit on the heavy side oil-wise, but also flavorful. Sauces all tasted homemade. Will definitely come back again.
Visited while on a work trip and would highly suggest! The food was amazing and good portion size. They made me one of the best dirty martinis I have had in a longgggggg time The vibe is super chill and the staff are attentive and friendly
Stylish rooftop venue serving inventive Japanese fare & cocktails with sweeping city views.
Lovely spot! We were there on a Friday night, and they definitely needed more seating. One lady sat directly on my hand and then her friend got mad that my husband and I couldn't squeeze on one tiny cushion. That being said, the service was wonderful, the drinks were great, and the view was lovely.
Pretty facility... BUT was there for a 🎃 Halloween👻 event that removed ALL seating. This was just awful for my poor back and we had to leave after 2 hours to avoid more pain. I'm sure under different circumstances this is a lovely facility, but this is the best I can do given NO seating.
Set in an old church building, this trendy hangout offers burgers, cocktails & vintage arcade games.
I loved this place. Went there just for lunch and atmosphere and it was worth it to me. You can sit near the stained glass top window and that's a great vibe and place for pictures. Old church turned into a barcode with excellent burgers.
Food was excellent. Drinks were great. The old church is all a giant arcade
This sleek, popular spot with floor-to-ceiling windows offers craft cocktails & clever bistro fare.
They give you the address - IMO, they should also say 'Chase Tower Lobby' - had drinks and dinner. The Drunk Uncle was a little harsh - I'd sat stay away from that one - our server/bartender (Courtney) we thought was AWESOME! She must observe people that order Drunk Uncles to watch their reactions - she paid us the 'how are things at first sip' visit - and offered us a substitution since she couldn't bear to watch anyone not enjoying their drink. She substituted a Crystal Coconut (with extra 'zhoozh') - I'd order that one again, I gave Nic Nac a try - a tasty libation - the cherry bitters I thought would add a nice taste, and they were! The Cauliflower bites with hot ginger we REALLY liked - still good the next day. The Ahi Tuna Nachos weren't bad - being frank, a similar dish we had at Nosh was exceptional. Cool atmosphere - lots of foot traffic - most from the residents of the upper floors with their dogs.
This bar is at the main lobby of The Metropolitan building. Nice drinks. Lots of space.
Energetic lounge dishing up local beers, cocktails & a meatball-focused menu with veggie options.
Nice place. Wife and I went out Saturday night in the middle of a snow storm. Band playing was "Judahs" or something like that, can't remember. They were pretty good. Noah hooked us up with some amazing meatballs and trash plate. Cover was $5. easy parking in the lot adjacent. Worth a night out.
Great atmosphere. Small place but open and great stage visible from almost every seat. Good food. Great service. Most seats are tall bar stools.
Convivial bistro with an intricate wine rack hosts music & events like trivia & brewery tastings.
The food and the service was very good all of the staff was very helpful. The waitress went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy really enjoyed my time there. See our other reviews on tik tok @debsandwalt
Was there for a show with PAKT… was very intimate and the staff was super friendly. My wife had the hoisin noodle dish and said it was delicious. I had the chicken sandwich it was as advertised excellent. Highly recommend!!!
This vintage watering hole boasts an old-time jukebox, live music & a scenic beachfront patio.
I am not sure but don’t think they do food here. I didn’t see a menu. This place bills itself as a vintage watering hole. It is that indeed. Has seating on the beach and a few small rooms with tables and other seating. Kind of a Key West vibe on Lake Ontario.
Went for one drink and stayed almost 4 hours. Had such a wonderful time, the drinks were delicious. Music was amazing, very clean beach. Would go back 100%
Amazing food, good vibes, we had a large group, but the server was patient and very accommodating. highly recommended
The steak was AMAZING! Tostones were the best ever! The rice with chicken, steak and shrimp was unbelievably delicious! The service, our waiter, gave us outstanding service!! Our first time there and will return again!! I've shared my photos on my Instagram to spread the word about this wonderful establishment!!
Aways a good spot to go. My uncle plays in katspo and they get treat well everytime they preform there. Wonderfull staff and great owner! Hope to be there again soon.
Wss there for a 1916 show this past weekend. Haven't been to the venue since before covid, and wow! The updates are amazing. Huge space, great staff, grat sound.
Local sports-bar chain serving a range of American pub fare in casual, TV-filled quarters.
Tully’s is a great place to go for a fun sports bar with plenty of tables for large groups and a family friendly atmosphere. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly, and there is even a small arcade area to play a few games while you wait for dinner or after eating. They are known for their extra crispy battered chicken tenders and tangy honey mustard. They are always cooked perfectly and are genuinely my favorite tenders. My wife swears that the bacon cheeseburger is her favorite she’s ever had. We ordered it medium and it was cooked perfectly. It was juicy and delicious. All around the food here is fantastic classic American bar food. It is a little tough on the gut if you are sensitive to fried foods, so be warned. In the past I’ve tried the tender salad and it’s a great deal that just hits the spot. I highly recommend, if you don’t need a lot of food, my wife and I have shared a bacon cheeseburger and you can add three tenders on the side. It’s a great deal with plenty of food to share. The place is always clean, even though you get free popcorn there’s never any on the ground.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We’re visiting New York from North Carolina, and Tully’s was a highlight of our trip! The chicken tenders were the best I’ve ever had – perfectly crispy and juicy. The crab dip was amazing too, full of flavor. Service was fast and friendly, making the whole experience a 5-star visit all around. Highly recommend!
Very small space,so at peek hours need to be very strategic, meaning order everything you need in one take. Wasn't very welcoming had to get attention to order drinks( total of 20 patrons give or take) but when I did,the young lady made a very good drink,I usually don't drink mix drinks, just wanted something different and it was very very good . So I ordered wings of course ,I usually eat flats ,I hate hard drums, the cook said he couldnt accommodate due to the owner policy. Which is fine,I still ordered. The parm chicken wasn't what I expected salty, spicy and red? Never had garlic parm chicken red before, nope never again. Their house special sauce is great, if I ever come back I will get that. The 3 dollar tuna salad is about 3 oz's not worth it. So make a long story short my 12 piece to go was all drums, now early In This review I was told I could only get half and half, but you give me all drums the piece I hate the most. What happen to policy!! So It wouldn't bother me if I never returned
I visited 07/11/2025. The food portion size Is a joke! I ordered Mac salad for $3 and received a small 3 oz container. I also ordered fish and it was not cooked well enough. Service wise, I wasn’t feeling it. The bartenders were sitting in the corner mist of the time on their phones. I tired to get their attention multiple times. It took for someone else to get up and get me a drink. The owner or manger not completely sure which one but he wasn’t so warm and inviting. I remember my sister saying something to him and he really just stared at her and moved right along. I also think you should have more of a variety of drinks. I tired to order a simple drink that you can get at any bar( lemon drop) I was told they only had white tea and green tea drinks. The white drink I did have was good. Not sure if I would come back. I think you should work on portion sizes for food and customer service with your employees. The cook was nice 😊
Traditional British pub with lengthy beer & scotch lists serving hearty grub in a welcoming space.
Went for a birthday dinner. Saturday night. The place was almost empty. Thought maybe we made a mistake. Service was very friendly. We ordered and when our food came we couldn't believe how good it was! Can't understand why more people weren't here on a Saturday night. We will definitely be back!
We love The Old Toad! We live several hours away, but anytime we find ourselves near Rochester we try to finagle a way to eat dinner here. It reminds us so much of living in Europe... It has that old world charm, and the ambiance just takes us back. The food is great. Not an extensive menu but everything on it is amazing. The beer selection is great as well. Some good European imports, some craft beers and a couple domestics for those who choose to partake.
Cocktail bar & restaurant for craft beer, wine & Neapolitan pizzas in a comfortable, modern space.
Came here for a birthday celebration and it was amazing! There was a misunderstanding with how I wanted the tables to be set up but the staff (Paige) quickly moved our party over so that we had the upstairs bar area to ourselves. The space was perfect for mingling & taking fun pictures. We also were able to step into the upstairs rooftop lounge and that was amazing! It’s very spacious and there was so much room for everyone and other patrons who wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather & views. The food & drinks were delicious as well! We were also allowed to bring a cake! I highly recommend the Richmond for smaller or large gatherings.
The chicken wings, pizza, fried pickles, and trash plate are all delicious. The cocktails are phenomenal.
Dined here on a Thursday there was a live band and $1 raw Oysters! The ambiance was very nice, dime lighting. We made reservations earlier in the day, be sure to do so because the space isn't too large. Our server was friendly, we received our food quickly and everything was delicious and flavorful. Cant wait to go back.
So I attended Studio Lounge years ago in 2022 before they had to rebuild and I loved it! The owner Chris was so nice he came around to each table personally, making sure we were satisfied and even gave our table complimentary green tea shots and desserts…I had never had that type of dining experience in all my years living in Rochester…..Fast forward to 2025 I went again with another group of friends and had a ball!….The service was great, we didn’t have to wait long at all….the appetizers and entrees came out hot and delicious nothing at the table had to be sent back …. the new young executive chef Keyonna Rogers (sorry if I’m spelling it wrong 😣) is definitely in that kitchen doing her thing because everything was flavorful. The drinks 10 out of 10! …we all had nothing bad to say….yes you will pay $50-$150 per person….but to me that’s definitely not bad prices for great food, drinks, atmosphere, and experience!
I was visiting my friend in Rochester last week and had never really seen the night life there before, and this place is where it's at!!! They had karaoke that night (a Wednesday) and both the inside area and the outside area were both poppin! Lots of dancing and fun vibes. And the service was quick!
After having seen a friends human rights violated at a so called "community" "gay" bar on Monroe and then just going over to Lux afterward... I can't stress enough how awesome this place is. Instantly felt welcoming after not being in for a long period. So nice to sit around the fire and have nice people around. There was food being cooked on the grill for NYE. More water out. They really take care of the community as a whole here. The gay bars here in Rochester I can say are not at all good for the whole of the community as they claim and not all up to the caliber of how simplistic it is for the crew at Lux to just simply be a COMMUNITY establishment. Lux is truly a gem in Rochester. They don't have to falsy advertise being one either. They just are. There are only a handful of actual community bars and have to say Lux is the best. The gay bars could take note from Lux as they are truly not welcoming places. Why a good portion of the patrons at Lux are LGBT+. So nice to see such a mix of people with no hang-ups. No real agendas. Just Lux being awesome.
Relaxed local mainstay offering TVs, a small patio & bar games like pool, pinball & darts.
Great dive bar with darts, pool, games. The drinks are reasonable and it gets a mixed bag of clientele.
This is our regular spot. Bartenders are cool. Beers at a good price and free popcorn
Gay landmark providing weekly drink specials in an old-school space, plus TVs, a pool table & darts.
With all its recent renovations, The Bachelor Forum has become a standout establishment in the Neighborhood of the Arts. It’s one of the oldest gay bars in Rochester, but still thrives with the support and love of the LGBTQIA+ community. Once primarily known for its leather and bear groups, they still have dedicated nights every month for each group, and much more!
My favorite bar to visit once a month. I LOVE Pup Night! Also friendly staff, plenty of room now for pool and darts after the renovations, and a pleasant outdoor area for chitchat. #bachelor4m @bachelor4m #buzzybooth
American grill fare, craft beers & seasonal cocktails served in chill quarters with trivia & music.
A fun bar with food that is more refined than you would expect! The Angry Goat burger is a hit! Patty tastes fresh and homemade, like mom used to make. The toppings elevate it, sweet and savory. The duck wings are also delicious. Smothered/loaded fries were good with house-made cheese sauce! Also great that they participate in BeerPass.
Was in from out of town looking for a place to eat late and The Angry Goat Pub sure delivered. Awesome experience here. Extremely friendly staff, awesome food and very cool vibe. Great beer selection too. Had the honey hot wings well done! Flavor was spectacular. Will definitely come back here if I’m ever in Rochester again.
South Carolina Lowcountry cuisine & craft cocktails in a rustic-chic setting with chandeliers.
This is the best spot in town! I’ve never had bad food, but was BEYOND impressed by their NYE set menu. The bartenders here are phenomenal, my boyfriend and I always sit at the bar because of them! The espresso martini is phenomenal and they have many other fun cocktails like the sgt pepper! 10/10 recommend
Our first time. Atmosphere was wonderful. Service was good. Bartender was fun to watch and very knowledgeable. Drinks were fun. Bar menu is very specialty and a refreshing change from the everyday options. I was a little disappointed at the very very small menu. One beef choice, one fish choice, one pasta choice. There was certainly options for starters and small dishes. But not many options for main course which left me choosing the special of the day. It was a shrimp with pesto risotto and smoked mushroom. While it was delicious bit pricey for three shrimp and risotto!! However I have to give kudos to the chef the risotto was perfection. Our group ordered the lasagna. The wagyu flank steak and the salmon. I will post photos of both the atmosphere and our food! I would definitely say give it a try, It was a fun place to experience!
Hey now. Wanted to try a new place so I made a random pizza and wings order to Swan Dive- no idea what or where it was when I ordered. Got there, East & Alexander area and found the bartenders were super friendly and while waiting for my food I ordered a Spruced Up - which was a pink margarita-ish tequila drink with a crispy rosemary sprig. Fantastic! Off to a great start. Food was also really good! Pizza was fresh and perfectly cooked (hard to find in Rochester) - and wings were crispy and the hot sauce was bangin’. The only downside, which isn’t a downside for the business, but just for me personally, was a group of about a dozen super drunk and obnoxious bachelorette party women but they took their rowdy sloppiness upstairs, thankfully. Nature of the bar environment I guess and I’m sure they had fun. Still, I would def order to go food again. Actually looking forward to it!
Always a favorite of mine. One of the best happy hours in the city. The bartenders are terrific and I really enjoy the unique cocktails they cycle in. Prices are very reasonable which is terrific. Pizza is always delightfully tasty. It'll get crowded on a Friday or Saturday night around 10 but other than that it's always a great time.
I had the absolute pleasure of dining here today with family, and I can honestly say this is 1 of the BEST restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Thank you, Todd (the Owner) and Michelle who waited on us. Both, who were very friendly, approachable and courteous. :) The food was simply outstanding—hot, fresh, and full of flavor. I’ve never had sweet potato fries AND regular fries taste so amazingly good before—they were truly unforgettable! Everything on our plates was cooked perfectly, and the quality of the food far exceeded expectations. Not only was the food excellent, but the prices were also very affordable, which makes the whole experience even better. The environment was comfortable and welcoming, making it a place I know I’ll be coming back to again and again. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food, great value, and a fantastic atmosphere. If I could give this restaurant 100 stars, I certainly would! T :)
It was our first time here. We were seated right away and ordered some drinks. Everything on the menu looked amazing so it took us a bit to decide. The server was great and super patient with us. We ordered the Korean Good For Your Soeul Burger and the Chicken Wrap. Both were outstanding and enough for two meals. Would definitely recommend.
Went there for dinner and drinks before a show at Geva. Great theme to the place and the menu. The drinks were generous and well executed. The food was absolutely delicious. Great place to stop i to or get food to go. The eggrolls are a must!
I had my boyfriend surprise birthday party there and it came out awesome! Everyone was very nice and helpful!
Karaoke, nightly beer specials & sports TV in a comfy bar & grill with a pool table & darts.
Good atmosphere. Wings were not fresh. Ordered 3 orders of 10 wings crispy and all of them were chewy. I believe they fry all the wings then sauce them when orders come in.
I've been twice now and the atmosphere is everything! Situated in the city on East Ave. This Irish Pub also has delicious food and the servers are amazing!
Steelers-centric sports pub serving diverse comfort fare among 25+ TVs alongside darts & billiards.
Our baseball team “family” called them about 4 hours before 30 of us showed up. They had our tables ready and our waitress handle everything quickly, efficiently and very polite and nice!! Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.
Great fish fry with nice crisp tator tots, coleslaw, and delicious tartar sauce! Friendly waitress in a very fun environment. Something for everyone, good music, darts, tvs, and an assortment of other games to entertain. Restaurant is in a separate area from the bar, which is nice if you’re looking for more of a restaurant environment while you eat.
An absolute classic dive bar. Great darts, great locals, just a delightful hole on the wall.
The place to be... best local bar in town. Awesome staff & beautiful. Awesome owner * very down to earth & hands on... Everyone treated like family. Awesome place to laugh, smile and best conversations with a diverse crowd. Sports is always available & exciting. Best looking n cleanest bathroom in town. Pool tables. Darts . Very relaxing place. Great place to have a party or groups. Owner ( Adam) takes peerless pride in every aspect. Again..." THE PLACE TO BE"... best in town. AND WOW the most beautiful 😍 bartenders in town. I highly recommend as #1 place to be in Rochester. 💪🏿🫶🏿🏆
Met up with a couple of brother's from local union. First time being here. I thought it was decent spot. People and wait staff were friendly. Don't know anything about food? We didn't have anything or had seen a menu.
Such a cool place but the bartender is a psycho. I was a few drinks in but man he was on a power trip. Pick a new person on Friday nights. All of the other bartenders were great!
Hopping American sports bar & grill lined with 30+ TVs in lodgelike digs with an outdoor terrace.
Food was OK. French onion soup at or below average. We both had the fish fry, as we were in town on a Friday. Meh. Their in-house scotch ale tasted a little flat. The IPA was good, tho. Side salad was definitely a step above others we've had.
This was a nice spot to grab a bite after the lilac festival, or just if you’re in the area. There’s a nice selection of bar food. I had the wings, they were cooked nicely and juicy, though despite being buffalo garlic flavor, they didn’t have any heat at all. Mom got the shrimp appetizer and loved it, it looked great. I got a side of fries for us to split. I don’t know why I ordered a margarita in a beer spot, I did this to myself. I enjoy beer, I should’ve had one. I got excited about reading from the menu they had tajin on the rim of my margarita (many Mexican spots will have this), so I ordered that. It’s a jalapeño one but it was so tangy or sour. Not the tajin, just the drink itself. Next time, I’ll get a beer, I’ve learned my lesson. The women’s restroom is on the second floor, men’s is on the first floor. If you’re a lady and have a disability, call ahead, they may have an accessible one, or not, I’m not sure. For anyone that this may be a concern for, I’d recommend calling ahead to inquire. The inside of this place by the bar was pretty, the ceilings were vaulted and wooden, the have a little train that goes around but up high above the bar, much like Wegmans does, or at least some locations. It looks nice and definitely a great spot to catch a game. There were televisions all around the oval shaped central bar, but also at each table which is great.
Festive local pub offering a range of tap beers & comfort grub with sports on flat-screens.
Andrea is an awesome bartender. Watched the Bills squish th fish. Meet a couple from Atlanta, great guy from Dinosaur BBQ. Made my trip to Rochester a great time!
My fiance came here to waste time before we went to a wedding we were in town for that weekend. Marty was, by far, the most interesting, entertaining conversation we had w someone this weekend. His football knowledge was a hit w my fiance who wasn't having the best time (the trip from NJ really wore him out lol). Food was good, I only had a Chicken Ceasar salad and chips w queso...but overall I'd recommend for a go to to watch a game and have good food and conversation 👌
Comfy hangout with wings tossed in housemade sauces, plus many draft beers, pool tables & darts.
Fun local bar, karaoke night is absolutely fun, for it in the back which adds a solid ambience to an AVG night out. Bartenders & staff are super friendly, many drink options, and they have a stage area that local djs perform at on certain nights. Would recommend for a vibe and chill kind of night out!
We do karaoke Wednesdays, the food is pretty good, the service is great, the karaoke crowd on Wednesdays is tons of fun. The only downside is the drinks here are the weakest watered down drinks I've ever had anywhere. Still worth going, just make sure you pregame hard!
Spacious sports bar with 60 TVs, plus wood-fired pizza, pub grub & outdoor seating.
The food is always spot-on, the portions are generous, and that hometown flavor hits just right. The staff is friendly, the beer is cold, and the atmosphere has that classic local energy that makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. Highly recommend the plate — absolute perfection. 🍺🔥
Service took a while and our table kept getting forgetton. Food was decent but I've had better and it was way overpriced. Although the vibes were enjoyable, I won't be coming here again.
Waaaay too many children there. At first, cause I was drunk, I thought damn! These adult women are very short! Then it hit me. They’re teenagers. Like, really young. Security isn’t doing their job I guess cause you hear the kids brag about their IDs being fake as soon as you go in. Go somewhere else, unless you’re a teenager. Then you’re right at home. Editing this review to say: since the owners replied, maybe yall should scan IDs? Half of your customer base goes to high school still. But from what I’m hearing, this is a well known problem that you guys don’t really care about. But let me get into it too, the club is extremely hot. There’s no air conditioning. The drinks are expensive for what barely has alcohol in it, the music is basic as all hell, and the customer base is CHILDREN. GO ELSEWHERE
I recently came here ( I’m not from Rochester) it’s a good time , sticky floors and very hot but it’s definitely good energy and vibes
