Nice lounge for Syracuse. Complimentary access for Amex Platinum cardholders and up to two guests. You’ll need to be flying the same day and show your Amex Platinum card and boarding pass for entry. Hours should be expanded past 8:30pm to cater to people flying at night. Coffee is not hot enough. Breakfast is pretty decent with eggs, potatoes, mushrooms, muffins, cereal, cranberry juice and orange juice. Dinner isn’t very good. Broccoli was overcooked and yellow. Rice with chicken was bland and again not hot enough. Definitely a better alternative to sitting at the gate or dining at the restaurants/cafes at the terminal.
First time visiting this location and I was here for longer than planned (delayed flight), but it was a lifesaver to have the comfortable space. Katherine welcomed me and was so polite. She made the check-in process very quick and even guided me to an open seat where I could work. Jade was there to greet me with a drink and she carried genuine conversation with all guests. The lounge was very clean, peaceful, and comfortably cool. Thank you for the warm welcome!
Had a blast at the Night Drop! The music was awesome, and the vibe was warm and welcoming. Can't wait to visit again...
Great bar kind of hilariously dark inside but hey that's life. Pretty good sound for a room that small, cheap drinks, nice and helpful staff. Rebel flag in the urinal where it should be. Love this place
This wine bar stands above the rest for several reasons: 1. They pour using a wine preservation system so it’s always fresh. 2. They have a good selection across a range of styles and price points in half glass, full glass, and bottle formats. 3. Want to try something more expensive without getting a bottle? They offer 1oz, half glass, and full glass pours from a selection of $100+ retail bottles. 4. The decor is high end without being pretentious.
I stumbled upon this charming wine bar nestled in the heart of downtown, and it instantly became a favorite. The ambiance is warm and intimate—perfect for a quiet evening or a relaxed catch-up with friends. Their wine selection is thoughtfully curated, with a mix of well-known labels and hidden gems from boutique vineyards. The staff truly elevate the experience: knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or just exploring, they’ll make sure you find something you’ll love. A true gem that brings a touch of elegance and comfort to Syracuse.
We checked out this little gem for lunch. We had wings & the loaded salt potato appetizers. They were both delicious. Plenty of toppings on the salted potatoes. The bleu cheese is made in house. We shared a Detroit style pepperoni pizza. It was so tasty. It’s a deep dish style pizza with cheese around the crust and topped with cup-n-char pepperoni! The service by Rob was excellent. The place is really cool with garage doors that open to allow for an indoor/outdoor experience.
Best Detroit style pizza I've ever had. If you are in the mood for good beer and greasy cheesy pizza, come here. Has indoor seating and picnic tables outside. I only had time to try two beers but ordered a few 4 packs to go. The IPA was delicious and the lager was nice and smooth. Highly recommended.
Nice little pub five minutes off the highway. Although the building is historically the oldest pub in the city, it has been remodeled and brought up to today’s standards but you can tell the good times are still rolling in and out that door. Super friendly folks. Barmaid was top notch, super friendly and kind. we told her we were from out of town and traveling through and she gave us some good suggestions for the area. Cheers to The Clipper .
Shockingly clean and very competent bartender …. Bravo 💅🏼
Quaint hangout featuring a full menu of pub fare, TV sports & a vibrant atmosphere.
This place is phenomenal. We were in the area and wanted to try something new. Looked up places nearby and this one came up. Right from walking in the door we were greeted with a smile and seated right away. Our waiter promptly came over with menus and water. We also got fresh bread with seasonings and parmesan and oil on the table to go with it. Our appetizer was the poutine which came with roast beef and was so incredibly tender. We also got the dip sandwich and the short rib grilled cheese. Both were amazing and loaded with meat. We could only eat half our sandwich before we were full. Everything came out quickly and our cups were never empty. The service from everyone was the best I've had in a long time and the food was phenomenal. We'll be enjoying our leftovers and definitely be coming back.
Omg!We were absolutely thrilled to find this hidden gem, food was flavorful and portions were big, also satisfying. Service was amazing and the staff was knowledgeable. Absolutely taking our friends and family to try this place.Highly recommend!!
Chill, rustic bar with a huge craft-beer selection, indoor/outdoor seating & a bottle shop.
Neat place. First time here. Stumbled across when I did a google search of "breweries near me". Plenty of street parking. Great open interior concept. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Very small food menu consisted of 3 sandwiches or homemade chips. Beer selection in 16oz cans is crazy! Caprese sandwich and chips were great. Bartender was mediocre. He did not explain beers, menu or as I like to say navigate us thru selections and offerings to ensure great experience.
Great beer selection for all the craft beer people out there - no matter what style of beer you like, they’ll have something. Atmosphere in here is cool too - in the summer they have outdoor seating. Plus, you can get some beer to go. Best of both worlds
I've been coming here since it changed hands the last two times. It keeps getting better and better. Megan owns it now and the place doesn't disappoint. The atmosphere is good and the food tremendous. I always enjoy coming here. Never a bad time, fair prices on drinks and food and when you walk in the door you're greeted with a smile. Back again. These guys are so much fun. Quick stop or extended visit, they accommodate. I had a quick beer this time to show face and catch up.
Good bar to get a great bit to eat 😊 We ordered chicken wings they were crispy & flavorful 😋 Also ordered the Tuesday special$20(3/21/23) steak & lobster (steak seasoned & juicy) Joe ( the cook) does a fantastic job 👍 We will definitely be going back!!
This place is home away from home - it's like drinking in your living room! Tasty chicken wings and snack foods, always a great atmosphere to hang out in. You make lifelong friends at Newfy's. Will always be my fav spot to grab a drink. They call it "the coziest bar in Syracuse" for a reason!!!
Newfys is great. Nestled just off the beaten path it's a small little tavern but it makes up in character. Shannon or Nate behind the bar treat you more like family than a customer and are extremely accommodating. I had a blast every time I've been in there and the drink concoctions they muster up are excellent. This last weekend was topped off by a visit here. The icing on the cake if you will.
This is a little gem in Syracuse! Sweet, cozy vibe, lovely staff, and yummy food! The drink menu is comprehensive and just keep in mind they are the star of the show. The food menu is appetizers only but are plenty filling. Go during happy hour for great prices! Tony's Old Fashioned was amazing!
FANTASTIC date night at Tallman Cocktail Club! Chill vibes, excellent drinks, and delicious food. The service was great. Can't say enough about this "under the radar" option for an evening out in Syracuse. Highly recommended!
I was so happy to come across this place. The bartender made me feel welcomed while I was eating in the food hall next door. The cocktails were surprisingly creative and all very delicious, and a great deal to boot. The bar had lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and during the day it’s very light and bright. I also liked that you could bring your food from next door over to the bar area.
Props to Ermas Island(Jamaican)- jamaican jerk burrito, Sinbun (the most creative buns ever. Wife ended up buying THREE), Baghdad (Middle Eastern) huge variety, Salt Coffee and also the Cake Bar for staying open til the end so we can sample. Great experience. Great service by the young men keeping it spotless and inviting. The mexican restaurant closed about 40 mins early tho. All the food was a unique and rewarding adventure. But you must be a bit daring to try something outside the norm. "If you search for good, you will find favor; but if you search for evil, it will find you! – Solomon (Proverbs 11:27)
Irish cuisine & whiskey served in an ornate, old-world pub fueled by live folk & rock music.
Had to check this place out after seeing it on DDD and Triple D Nation—and wow, it did not disappoint! The food was amazing, totally lived up to the hype. Our server Donna was the best—super friendly and on top of everything. We were celebrating our anniversary in the Finger Lakes and made the drive to Syracuse just to try it, and I’m so glad we did. Great food, great vibe, and even better people. 🍀
Syracuse NY is a foodie haven! And Kitty Hoyne's Irish Pub is one reason! Upscaled traditional fare that is flavourful, bountiful, and served with pride in a setting that makes you feel transported to the Emerald Isle! A wide assortment of beers and spirits. An excellent value and an unforgettable taste experience! We will be back!
This neighborhood gem is making almost everything from scratch, and priced far lower than one might expect. While it is primarily a bar, the food makes it worth a special trip across town. The fries and cheese sauce are the best I've had in Syracuse. The house made ranch dressing is exceptional. The desserts are fun and inventive. While the kitchen is best known for their brunches, I recommend going on other days as well. Update: had Thanksgiving brunch there and it was amazing. Even better than I had hoped. It was expertly run with staggered seating times and frequently restocked buffet offerings.
Love coming here, brunch service is amazing always, came with family friends and didn't feel rushed. Service was delightful, friendly and the food was really great.
The food and service was great and down to earth... Alex understood that after a long drive from Philly I need to eat and have a drink. His recommendations hit the spot.. the lemon pepper chicken wings were amazing. Loved the drinks in these great bottles. The colors of the drinks really added esthetics to the experience of eating in a game room.
Such a fun and unique place with excellent drink deals! We went on a Saturday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised that we could get a table. We ordered a punch bowl to share. Beware - they are easy to drink fast! They also have a super fun menu where you literally roll a 20-sided die to pick your shot. The sweet potato fries were delicious and a huge portion. Our server was sweet and took great care of us while juggling multiple tables. I enjoyed the art on the walls and of course the old school arcade games. This place made me feel young again!
Needed wings one Sunday and gave them a shot. So glad we tried these. I got the spicy ranch and mild. The ranch ones were unexpected. They were perfect. Never had anything like them. The wings themselves were cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Sauce was a perfect amount. Favorite wings, hands down.
I ordered dry wings with 2 sauces and 3 blue cheese. Garlic parm and hot BBQ were delicious. They had them wrapped so well! By far the best to go food I've had from any restaurant. I also ordered mozzarella sticks. They are the thick rectangular ones, which are, of course, the most superior of all the mozzarella stick shapes, in my opinion. Top notch, would order again.
SCOTT IS A BOSS ‼️ Never going to a college bar again when I can enjoy a spot like this… 15/10 would highly recommend on any day of the week.
Owner allows others to scream slurs towards others. Ridiculous to think this would be better for business other than sticking up for their loyal patrons.
Lively, long-running tavern featuring American pub grub & Irish dishes, plus live music & trivia.
Visiting Syracuse several times a year and of course had to check out the famous Coleman’s! They have a great Irish whiskey selection, and beers as well. I enjoyed the Sheppard’s Pie, which was amazing as you can see from my before and after photos! The service is also top notch and friendly customers! Tuesday is trivia night just fyi! If you are ever in Syracuse, check out Coleman’s! And don’t forget to spot the leprechaun entrance, in case you bring the wee littl’ ins’!
The food was incredible and the staff were super friendly and attentive. The pub itself has super charming decor with indoor and outdoor seating. They also have live music and events, which is really cool. Not only is Coleman’s a great place to grab some tasty food and drinks, but it’s a cornerstone of the local community. If you’re in Tipp Hill, you owe it to yourself to come here.
Easygoing Irish tavern known for burgers, simple bar eats & a big beer selection in a modest locale.
Blarney Stone is a must stop on any visit to Tipperary Hill! Always a fun festive pub especially on and around St Patrick’s Day! ☘️ The food is amazing and so affordable, you can’t get a less expensive meal anywhere of the quality they dish out! My friends and I agree Blarney has the best Reuben sandwiches on Tipp Hill, bar none! And to boot it’s $7.50 with chips! It’s walk up service and cash only, step aside and they will call your name when order is ready. We waited a mere five minutes, even on St Patrick’s Day! I always get teased for ordering the Reuben without sauerkraut, then it’s not a Reuben! I went for it this visit and literally just melted right into the sandwich, delish! I won’t be holding the kraut anymore! Plenty of brew on tap and beverages to wash it down! Can’t wait for my next visit!
One of my favorite places I went while I was visiting! Love the people, great drink prices, delicious food, just your hometown bar that was so much fun!!
Biergarten-inspired hangout for wide-ranging German brews, plus sausages, peanuts & soccer on TV.
My friend and I stopped in on a hot Sunday afternoon. It was not busy and we were waited on upon sitting at the bar. The choices are extensive. We ended up with a liter of Southern Tier Blueberry tart I believe, topped off with lemonade making them Shandy’s. This was at the bartenders recommendation. This is the first time we have ordered a liter, they are so heavy you need two hands to drink. They were cold and refreshing for the first half but the heat quickly warmed and flattened the carbonation. I would recommend smaller pours if you want your beer cold. The special was a free hot dog with a liter purchase but upon inquiry they were out of hot dogs. It is a peanut bar but they do not have any other food options. $14 each for the Shandy’s. Pleasant staff with a German football vibe.
Love this place! I had been before to watch a soccer game and get a free boot on my birthday but now go regularly. It’s a great crowd, nice selection of beers and mixed drinks as well as darts. Alexis and Dylan are our favorite bartenders! Go check this place out if you haven’t already
Ok place i guess. Not the best neighborhood or atmosphere, more of a Spanish bar meaning there are always a lot of Spanish speaking people here for the most part witch isn't a bad thing. But as somebody who doesn't speak or understand too much Spanish it's just not really a place for me.
Good food every time. It's an amazing staff very friendly
Clubby hangout with a cool vibe offering gourmet pub grub & lots of liquor choices, plus live music.
Not even kidding, this was one of my favorite places I've been to for a drink on a very long time. The atmosphere was perfect. Reminded me of a cross between a 90s coffee shop before Starbucks took everything over, a really cool library, and a speakeasy. Hit all the points on atmosphere for me. Add in the massive selection of spirits and it was easily one of the best bars I've been to. With the atmosphere and selection, I expected a pretentious vibe, but was super relaxed and a great way to unwind for a night. Even the prices of drinks were pretty realistic for the higher end drinks. The live music was a little loud, but maybe I'm just too old now 😂 Service was great even when busy. Good mix of people who were all pretty chill. The pool table, darts and pinball were also nice touches without being overwhelming. I'd absolutely recommend this place to anyone for a drink, and when I'm back in town I'll be finding a reason to stop by for sure.
Stopped on a Monday right as they opened. Sipped some Whiskey, drank a draft and had good conversation with the bartender and some regulars. Even played some pool in the back room. Some neat items if you really start looking around. Huge selection of liquors and wine and a varied selection of beers. A very good stop.
Vintage photos line the walls of this American bar & grill offering burgers, pizza & cocktails.
I just don't get the hype about this place. Went in, had reservations, they tried to call back and cancel them saying they were to fill, but when we actually sat there were a lot of open tables. Sat at the bar, that was fine. But the dinning was such an experience. We got a waitress that I don't know, had something against one of us, or maybe it was that we brought a disabled kid in. I actually don't know but it sucked. Sat us, waited 40min to give us water and take our order. I had to ask for my water to be refilled, my cousin has to ask for her drink 3 times. The waitress did not tell us the specials, we had to ask about the soup of the day, she was irritated that we asked what dressing for salad they had. The food came out in two runs, maybe 10min between, she put a piping hot plate of chicken fingers in front of a child and didn't warn anyone at how hot the plate was. We had to ask for to go containers twice, and then she didn't bring enough. The food was just ok. Nothing special. And for the high price I would say a disappointment. The dining area was so loud, they could really use foam under their tables. Oh and the bathroom stall doors were gross! I will not be going back. It's to expensive for the experience.
Wife and I were in Syracuse for the university winter of 2024,25 and I found this place by accident. Class act, wonderful service as well. All four of are party from my wife and my two teenagers daughters were smitten with the food service and atmosphere.
Easygoing tavern offering rotating craft beers on tap, pub fare, cocktails & wine.
Stopped over before and after an event across the street. Great service, great atmosphere. Good selector drafts and well made mixed drinks.
I never leave reviews but it was so bad I have to. I have been here before and it was fine but last night we waited 30 minutes for a drink, i literally timed it. The older woman behind the bar was taking multiple sips of her drink yet we had to wait 30 min for ours? We were going to eat there but it took 40 minutes for our food so we asked for boxes, my fries were soggy not cooked at all. The server seemed new and did nothing wrong, but just seemed like she was struggling.
Laid-back institution featuring hot wings & other American grub, plus pool & a lineup of live music.
A Wing Connoisseur's Dream Come True! As a wing connoisseur, I can tell you that Shifty’s Bar and Grill in Syracuse is where it’s at! Cathy, our bartender, was fantastic! She made sure our drinks were always full and our experience top-notch! The wings? Cooked to perfection, perfectly sized, and sauced so well they could start their own fan club! 🍗🎉 Now let’s talk about the pretzel. Oh my goodness! Who knew a pretzel could compete with wing flavor? It was a knockout! And the pizza? Man, now you’re just pulling my leg! With so many beer choices, and a bar keep named Cathy, what are you waiting for? Grab a plane to get there like I did! Or take a train if you’re Joe Biden! However you do it, just get there! This place is older than Joe Biden and has way more character. Trust me, it’s an experience you don’t want to miss! 💯❌🍺🍗🍕🥨
ordered a relatively large amount of food online tonight for me and my husband, he went to pick it up. he came back with half our order after confirming with the staff they gave him everything. even he thought it wasn’t all of it, not knowing the order like i did. sent him the receipt and he went back for the rest. after explaining to the staff they left out half our order, he was approached by some dude asking if there was a problem….like this guy was going to fight my husband ? weird vibes. so the second half of our order had been sitting around i guess, including a salad which was now wilted and somehow warm, see photos. wings were tasty but no longer hot, along with all the starters. we don’t live far luckily, so going back wasn’t a huge deal. just wish they’d given us everything the first trip.
My burger was amazing. 10 out of 10. This is what I would call your favorite corner bar. Even though its not technically on a corner. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted with a genuinely friendly atmosphere. It's the kind of place where the bartenders know your name. Don't let the casual vibe fool you, though. The food here seriously punches above its weight. For such an unassuming spot, the quality is truly impressive. I'd go as far as to say their hamburgers are the best I have had. And the wings? Absolutely fantastic! If you're looking for a laid-back spot with great company and even better food, especially if you're a burger or wing enthusiast, then look no further. Highly recommended!
Stopped here for a couple drinks after a hot day on my way back to my hotel off Cartier Circle. Been stopping here for over 30 years while in Syracuse. Riva’s, All American, now Thompson Road. Always a good crowd and surprisingly very good food. As always easy to start a conversation with the locals and learn some interesting stories. Will definitely stop back on future trips to Syracuse.
Longtime sports-centric neighborhood tavern serving wings & other bar staples in a comfy atmosphere.
Honestly amazing. 10/10 coming from someone who loves incredibly spicy things and has a whole drawer of hot sauce, these wings these did not disappoint. Had my wife call to say these were the best extra hot wings we’ve ever had. Will definitely be back!
This was a great find while in town for the night. THE BEST WINGS!! We got the garlic BBQ, garlic Parm. Also tired burger and clams. Everything was great! The bar was packed and Lucy still rocked as a server. I wish we were 3hrs closer. Go Bills!
Lively bar offering karaoke several nights a week, plus pool, darts, video games & casual bites.
There was good food, nice staff, and people. Don't be afraid to get up there and sing, no one is judgemental! Everyone will cheer you on, and even dance and sing with you 😎
This is a great place to hangout with a group of friends! The Karaoke is free, but you have to wait your turn. People can perform on stage with props, or sing from the bar. The food and drinks are reasonably priced, but the drinks are watered down. We had several rounds of shots and mixed drinks and none of us were wasted (no hangovers either). People have to go to the bar to order food and drinks. The straws are not covered, and the waitresses put them into people's drinks with their bare hands, which isn't very sanitary, but no one seemed to mind (that would NOT fly where I live). To sing, people write their name and song request on a slip of paper and give it to the DJ. I believe the regulars know to get their song requests in early because the same people performed multiple times. This spot is a small bar with limited seating, so arrive early to get a table or a seat. The pool table is in the bar area. The crowd was mixed and everyone was friendly and supportive! I definitely would do it again.
Stopped in on the second day of the “soft” opening. It was nice to be back in the “Blue Tusk” location for nostalgic reasons. The inside the new Taphouse looked great along with the classy new bar. They had a good selection of beers (w/ a number from local breweries). Food menu looks good and will update the food review once we try their selections. The staff was nice and friendly. This place looks very promising as a great spot for food and drink.
The establishment offers an exceptional ambiance and a menu featuring delectable beverages. The bartender, Chase, exhibited exceptional hospitality and provided attentive service to my companions and me.
Pub plates & 26 craft beers on tap offered in a convivial, brick-lined setting with outdoor seating.
I recently hosted a private event here, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. Maria, the event coordinator, was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the planning process. Since I live out of state, coordinating everything remotely was a challenge, but Maria made it feel effortless. The day of the event went off without a hitch. I arrived early to set up, and every staff member I encountered offered to help in some way. It was such a warm and supportive atmosphere! During the event, the team remained attentive and kind, making sure my guests had everything they needed. The food was absolutely delicious and perfectly portioned. Peter, the owner, was personally making our pizzas throughout the night, and we were never without a fresh slice! If you’re considering hosting an event here, do it! You won’t find a more seamless, welcoming, or enjoyable experience anywhere else.
Went to a private event here. Food was great, service was great. Nice intimate setting for our event. Would highly recommend. Not huge, but worked well.
This funky contemporary space serves a menu of handmade burgers & poutine covered in gravy.
Awesome, that is the only way I can describe my experience at this nice little restaurant. I ordered off their menu and received more than I expected. The burger was cooked just like I liked it medium mooooo. When I have a chance to visit Syracuse again, my first stop is to the Hops Spot, and when asked, I'll tell everyone about this place. Also, don't get me started on the beer list. I haven't seen a selection like this since my time spent in Germany.
the food, service, and atmosphere was amazing! the poutine was delicious, and the service was exceptional and super friendly. the atmosphere was nice and modern. a great place to eat!
Local sports-bar chain serving a range of American pub fare in casual, TV-filled quarters.
Tully’s Good Times is a family restaurant/sports bar in Syracuse that offers a large variety of bar food (wings, burgers, nachos, etc.) as well as salads, pasta dishes, steak entrees, fish, and other mouthwatering meals. We visited Tully's on a Saturday afternoon in late June at approximately 4:45. As it was approaching dinner time, the patronage was light, with plenty of vacant tables. As soon as we entered we encountered a barrage of televisions in the bar and dining areas, all displaying sporting events or sporting news. Also adorning the walls were sports memorabilia, particularly those from the University of Syracuse and the New York Yankees. Another benefit of arriving early was quick service. Once we were immediately seated, we were offered a basket of free popcorn. We dug in once our meals arrived. The balsamic chicken salad – consisting of romaine lettuce, balsamic vinaigrette, bruschetta, and topped with roasted peppers, shaved Romano cheese, scallions, and olives (which was declined) – was very good. The vegetables were fresh and inviting, and the chicken was tender. The slice of garlic bread was also balanced and not soggy or consumed with garlic. The garlic Parm wings were also delicious and filling, with homemade garlic parmesan sauce. Although the menu claims they are lightly dusted in flour, it was a little too much for my liking, and a bit salty, so much so that I had to fight my way through the last three wings. However there was plenty of meat on the bones and a lot of flavor. Overall, Tully's is a destination I would recommend. I can say with 99% certainty that every visitor to the establishment will find something they can enjoy. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
Love all the TVs and the fact they were showing lacrosse on almost all of them, food was great service was good, server seemed annoyed, atmosphere seemed like Applebee's or Chili's. Still recommend it.
I met my friend on a late Sunday afternoon. The bar area was busy with families from events, and some young children. I was able to scoot into a corner of bar seats waiting on my friend. A short wait for menus and to scour drink menu. I went with pomegranate cosmo, unfortunately it lacked presentation due to shortage of appropriate glassware. Server was apologetic, taste was pleasant but strong and lacking garnish. My friend just ordered a light draft and we ordered Reuben egg rolls to share. Best Reuben egg rolls I have had in the Cuse! Tons of tender corned beef, and just a hint of sauerkraut and Swiss served with thousands island dressing! I ordered an extra for take out for my Irish man at home and short rib tacos. Those did not keep well for take out, more meat and toppings would improve the continuity compared to tortillas. Service excellent, frequently checked upon for refills and food order. Prompt delivery and friendly service! Great place for meetups and sports. Many televisions great for sport events. Menu is simple and pub oriented.
Press Room in Syracuse nails the industrial-chic vibe without trying too hard. Cocktails are thoughtful, the food’s got flair, and the vibe is intimate without being sleepy. Great spot for a concert or sporting event pregame.
I love Wild Will's! Great place to grab a drink without any drama. Friendly people and fun atmosphere!
A couple friends and I went to Wild Will's because it reminded us of our local wateringhole. As we walked in we realized that this is very much a locals bar only. Cool little hole in the wall, but don't recommend unless you know someone who's local. Hopefully you catch the bartender on a more sober night.
My friend and I stopped in on a late Sunday afternoon. The bartender greeted us shortly after arriving, and helped us clear a spot at the bar. We had a round of beers. Sierra was super friendly as were many of the patrons. So a friendly atmosphere, old Irish pub vibe mindfully kept as is. They had just celebrated their 30th anniversary over the weekend and it sounds like a place that is good to patrons and their staff. Spacious for gatherings and have two pool tables and dart boards. They do not serve food so don't come hungry but good for some drinks and socializing. I can definitely see this establishment being a Cheers situation as they make you feel welcome even for new patrons.
One of the best Syr dive bars. The bartender is always so friendly and goes above & beyond for the customers! He always has snacks way better than the typical pretzels or peanuts. If you’re a dolphins fan, he’s your guy!
Emerald cocktail kitchen is the perfect Chill spot for LGBTQIA community gather and enjoy the atmosphere good service from excellent mixologist with craft perfection cocktails. I myself had enjoyed many drinks, but the shamrock, espresso martini, and the peanut butter and jelly cocktail are my five star favorite Go to’s. The rooftop gives a wonderful view of Syracuse’s Far west side. And the curated events are fun and entertaining. The male bartender Is an excellent mixologist and crafts beverages into a perfect selection. I’m very happy I found this perfect little gem here in Syracuse
Cocktail was good overall, we ordered ELM and ASPEN which were decent but not exceptional. The rooftop was a highlight though, with cozy blankets and a fire pit to keep you warm. It's a great place to relax and talk or enjoying the view of Syracuse, but you do need to order something to go there, which does make sense.
Relaxed hangout offering fish ’n’ chips, burgers, salads & other pub grub, plus a full bar.
The nachos are gross now, beware! They used to be amazing, now they are gross with queso and not much else. They cost less now, but they're not worth getting. Spare yourself the disappointment! (My friends did end up eating them, hence the empty basket. But they were not good!) I am posting an older photo for reference, to show how good the nachos used to be
Good food. Really nice people and atmosphere. It's been a long time since my last visit. It won't be that long again.
Was super slow, bartender egnored me. I had to move in front of her to get my drink. My Jamison and coke is very weak. There were 6 people in total in the lounge. DJ was good, but there were no other patrons. Lots of outdoor seating and you can take your drink out to a table. It's Thursday night and they advertise an 80's night. Good music.
The guard there on 5/24/25 was a complete dick. He came in 10-15 min after. Mind you the people I was with already had our shots the bar tender ided us and we were good the guard came in and asked for my id and I said “a little late “ he decided he didn’t like that remark and threw my id at me. There’s no professionalism at all. If I could have 0 start I would. over priced drinks , not busy at all
Irish tavern housed in an 1890s cottage offering a homey setting for beers, pub grub & TV sports.
One of my favorite spots to bring the friends, bring the family, and enjoy a classic bar. Over the years the food has never missed (photos are from current-3years ago). Bartenders always attentive, and the owner is a class act. I would recommended the buffalo dry rub wings, always make sure to check the specials out 🤌🏻🤌🏻🫡.
Today my experience was surprisingly terrible. I brought the guys in from work to have lunch and I can say they were left wanting. The burgers were ordered with lettuce tomato and onions but came with nothing but a burger on a bun....???? Also we're supposed to be cooked medium rare but we're well done at the least. Their sides were Mac and cheese and fries. Both of which were cold. I'm shocked as the last time I came it was much much better. Maybe the cook, maybe the bartender hanging out in her own world. Who knows. I'll be back to try it again in the future and hopefully it's back to normal.
Traditional bar food & sandwiches in a hip Irish pub offering ample bar & booth seating.
We're gonna play a little game called The Good The Bad and The Ugly The Good: • Conveniently located near the Syracuse Centro hub • Irish cannon balls are exquisitely crisp and explode with Reubenesque flavor • Nachos come with firm sturdy chips, multiple layers of shredded Colby and a hearty queso. Black beans should be featured on more nacho platters more often • Deliciously crisp thick slices of toast hold together a fine turkey club The Bad: • Limited "Event Night" menu meant that all the items I had looked forward to ahead of time were nowhere to be found. I get it, and the backup options were good, but disappointing nonetheless. • The "pico" promised for the nachos were diced tomato and onion, no cilantro or vinegar to tie it all together. The Ugly: • The chicken caprese sandwich came with one sad little slice of tomato and the "fresh mozzarella" tasted like your typical pizza cheese. Chicken was ok but a bit dry and bland. Basil mayo was the star of this part of the show Overall more good than bad. Would likely return for the full menu another time.
The wings were great. For the environment it's a little more pricey then it's worth tbh . Irish sports bar charging average $18 for things everywhere else is charging way less for and just as good. So if I had to complain about something it's the price for average pub food. I mean $18 for average burger is excessive when you can go to a place like blarney stone and spend half that and get better food. On the other hand it is a hotel pub . Wings were good and big so for $18 for that much food isn't terrible. Just know if you walk in as a couple your spending about a $100. Again the wings were great. The bartenders was very friendly and kind that kinda makes up for alot as well. and it is wheel chair friendly, and also has one of my favorite coffee places in Syracuse next door cafe kubal. So it's a one stop shop too. That's something else to consider.
Syracuse-centric hangout featuring classic pub grub & self-serve draft beer tables, plus a patio.
Good food and cool place to watch the fights but when ya open a tab make sure u don't let them have your card the bartender lost my card so I had to order another one the next day 🙃
I always visit here when I’m in Syracuse. The food is great and the staff is wonderful.
Refined New American dishes & craft cocktails offered in a stylish, industrial-chic space.
The York….what can I say other than AMAZING!! This place is packed and well worth it! We ordered the Poutine to start and if I would have known it was this good, it would have been my meal! But nevertheless, I ordered a Filet Mignon with Mac and cheese and it was cooked med-rare to perfection! Mac and Cheese was also amazing! I included a photo of my colleague’s pasta dish (can’t remember the name) but it was also good! If you are in downtown Syracuse don’t sleep on this one, check out The York! You won’t be disappointed!
Unexpected delight @yorkcny last night 😍 I was immediately charmed by the ambience– black shiny brick, big mirrors, and lots of green plants surrounded attractive seating– and hoped the food would measure up. The pork chop was well-cooked and flavorful but even more delicious was the egg and fried rice that surrounded it. The presentation was lovely (see little flower!!!) The bone marrow appetizer was delicious, assuming you enjoy Gorgonzola (I do) The pasta’s size was shockingly generous, and it was creamy and flavorful. The Calabrian peppers definitely gave it a nice kick. The Snicker’s cookie topped with ice cream was exactly what I wanted– straight-forward, simple, and nostalgic. As for the drinks, I wasn’t drinking tonight but my friend ordered the [Not Your Mama’s] Amaretto Sour which featured an overproof rum and was absolutely insanely delicious. Would highly recommend. Will be returning likely this summer to grab a table in the lovely outdoor section!
Family-friendly chain offering a sports-bar-style setting for American food & arcade games.
Got kids cheeseburger chicken Caesar salad and quesadilla peach tea and root beer. Also ordered the cauliflower appetizer. Salad came with no chicken. All the food was just slightly warm.cauliflower never showed up.peach tea was plain tea.cheeseburger delicious.salad was very good.condiments were generous.this was our second appearance with same results.got a great discount on check.
If you love to play games and win prizes, Dave and Busters is for you. The bar area has all of your favorite adult drink options. The food is good. Not spectacular, offers all the solid options you would expect from a chain restaurant. I recommend the burgers or the "all you can eat wings." The games are very expensive to play some costing 2 dollars per play. But they offer a huge selection of fun games. With a little something for everyone. Tickets won are automatically added to your card and can be redeemed for prizes. Bring the kids, have dinner, and enjoy the games. Overall, I recommend Dave and Busters. Especially for group events and family night out.
This compact game-day hangout with an orange/blue color scheme offers pub food & beer on tap.
Close to the dome. It's not a bad bar It's just more beer oriented, very limited liquor selection. Service was pretty good I was there for the Metallica concert between inside and outside at least 300 people there I didn't have to wait more 3-4 minutes to get a drink and The men's room was surprisingly clean.
I've been going to Orange Crate Brewing Company for years, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is electric on game days, with the 'CUSE fans filling the room with energy. It's the perfect spot to gather with friends and cheer on the team. The service is consistently on point, even when the place is packed. The staff is friendly and attentive, and always makes sure everyone feels welcome. If you're looking for a pre-game spot that offers a lively atmosphere, delicious food, and cold drinks, Orange Crate Brewing Company is the place to be. I highly recommend it!
Champagne & cocktails served in a chic bar & dance club with a spacious, enclosed courtyard.
Benjamin's on Franklin: A Night to Remember Benjamin's on Franklin in Syracuse is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fun night out. The atmosphere is electric, thanks in large part to the talented DJ Gweedo. His music selection was on point, and he kept the dance floor packed all night. The bar offers a wide variety of drinks to suit any taste, and the prices are reasonable. Whether you prefer cocktails, beer, or wine, you're sure to find something you'll enjoy. If you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, head outside to the fire pit. It's a great place to socialize and enjoy the cool night air. There's also an outdoor bar where you can grab a drink without having to leave the fire pit. Overall, Benjamin's is a fantastic spot for a night out in Syracuse. The music, the drinks, and the atmosphere are all top-notch. I highly recommend it!
My partner wasn’t allowed in with a plain white t-shirt despite seeing 3+ other men with plain white shirts on. We were told months ago we could smoke in the courtyard but apparently the rules changed and the employees don’t have the manners or patience to tell customers. A security guard yanked my blunt from my hands from behind, making the cherry (actively burning end) fall onto my bare skin and go down my dress, burning me. No apology, he just yelled we could get banned and ran away before I could see his face or say something. It was rude, cowardly, and the vibes are trying to be upscale but in reality it is just arrogant. It’s Syracuse. get over yourselves. We also lost important cards the first time we went and never heard back from the club after reaching out to find them. This was our second and last time coming, it’s not a fun place for young people.
They jack the prices of the drinks up, and switch out their liquor for cheap liquor. Had an allergic reaction to my drink while on the dance floor. I ordered patron idek what I got but it made me so sick. Ghetto and overpriced.
No seats. It's a bar. It's like one long room.
Dr's tavern is a great spot to hang out and have drinks play pool meet new people there bar tenders are on point with there service and always have good music and food
For a Bar in the "ghetto " its clean drink prices are responsible. Music is good .
Enduring neighborhood sports bar with an Irish motif, a collegial atmosphere & an outdoor courtyard.
Second time here and first time seeing this bartender. Came in with a coworker after our shift. Apparently the bartender doesn’t like my coworker. He refused to look at either of us so because he didn’t like the person I was standing next to he also ignored me. Bearded dude working the back bar tonight was the one in question. Needless to say I see no point in returning.
Dear Mulrooney's Management, You guys are just rude. You have no idea how to treat a customer. Your bartenders are extremely rude and so are your bouncers. Even if someone doesn't do something, you randomly pick a person and kick them out. You are place with the worst business ethic and above that the worst staff i have ever seen. And if you want to go that bar, better be ready to get kicked out just because you are sitting there, having a beer. I would nor recommend you even to my worst enemy.
I was designated driver for a long time friend, he was the patron of the establishment. 3 stars for food and service because he didn't say anything about ordering food. He told me that the atmosphere and employees he interacted with were excellent and next time I look forward to joining him in experiencing this establishment - again with a designated driver.
Don’t go to this place. It’s a great way to completely ruin the end of a good night with your friends. Upon arriving you’ll meet a less than pleasant bouncer that finds something wrong with your outfit and says you need to tip him to get in because of it. Then the bouncer will check your id and even if your over 21 he’ll make you pay the under 21 cover or tell you to leave. If you haven’t convinced yourself it’s not worth it yet, you’ll then go into a dull and uneventful strip club experience. They bartenders ignore you for people that will only throw very large tips and the dancers not what you want to see at a club, to put it nicely. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs.
DJs spin dance music at this energetic nightspot also featuring a pool table & lounge area.
I mostly come here because my friends bartend, otherwise I wouldn’t really bother. The place just isn’t what it used to be 10–15 years ago. Right when you walk in, the amount of security makes the whole vibe feel unwelcoming—it’s more tense than fun. Inside, the atmosphere doesn’t hit either. The music is nothing special, and the lighting is way too much for such a small space. A nightclub shouldn’t feel like you’re standing in a well-lit room—it kills the mood when you’re trying to drink and dance. They also lean heavily into drag, which is fine, but with how few hours they’re open, it would make more sense to do those shows on off-nights instead of prime hours. I still stop in every now and then to support my friends and spend a little money, but it’s not the same place it used to be. And being cash-only on top of everything else just adds to the inconvenience.
I was the designated driver and couldn’t believe they charged me three dollars for a bottle of water. No free option whatsoever. It sends the message that they don’t care about sober guests or responsible drivers. Pretty disappointing for a place thats about being inclusive...
A great place to grab a drink and have a nice conversation. The best bar in downtown Syracuse by far. Bar tenders are friendly and considerate. My experience has been fenomenal. I highly recommend them. 👌
It’s definitely a local bar but that’s part of its charm. Everyone was nice. The bartender at the time “ Brittany” was extremely helpful in getting me familiar with the area since I’m new here. Reasonably priced and just a good place to start the night off.
