Went to soft opening and they were rocking it! I’ve been watching them on Instagram prep for the opening. We ordered drink and friends got food. Everything looks fresh and DELICIOUS. So excited to have a bright sports bar.
It’s such a struggle finding a good sports bar that isn’t a compromise. Whether it’s that the drinks aren’t good, there isn’t food or it’s not worth trying, or it’s just a bummer of an atmosphere but at least the game is on (just don’t ask for volume or if they can change a channel; it’ll be a whole thing). Which makes Easy Tiger such an Asheville dream come true.
Chandelier-lit, vintage-style bar in a historic building for cocktails & coffee.
Best drinks in Downtown Asheville! Very chill vibe and the bartenders are very kind and attentive. If your downtown you have to stop by and check out there top notch drink menu! Everything we tried was amazing. the decor is on point, and it has outdoor seating as well as inside.
Went in to kill time before my flight with a Brandon Sanderson novel, fully intending to keep to myself, and the bar tender/owner has such good rapport with both the customers and his coworkers/staff that it was really hard to focus on reading! And I’m usually hesitant to order cocktails in new spots as everyone fancies themselves mixologists these days but I went out on a limb and I’m so glad I did! Best cocktail I’ve had possibly ever. I will recommend stopping in at this bar to any friend going to Asheville! I also really loved that the skeleton overlooking the entire bar had evoked the essence of the skeleton in “The Last Unicorn”! ☺️
Adorable eclectic bar with a variety of tequilas and other spirits. There indoor and outdoor seating for all year weather. The drinks are very well made, and are delightfully fresh. Ps the food truck in front is amazing as well.
10 stars. This bar is an absolute GEM. Amazing staff, fun patrons, great drinks, and the partnership with an amazing Mexican food truck just sets it off. Paloma’s and Margaritas can be made with taqulia or mezcal if you want a smokey treat. I had a blast. DJ on Sunday upped the already great vibes. This is serious a must go to bar.
Happy hour: 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm M - F If you love beer or cocktails and you need an early dinner, this is a great happy hour. You can get a huge chicken sandwich that tastes high quality for $9 or a delicious burger for $12. Drinks range from $3 - $10. They have plenty of cocktail and beer options during the happy hour as well. The only thing I wish they did was a red and white house wine with the happy hour menu as well. Other than that this is perfect for people who want a fancy delicious experience without the high price tag. The happy hour definitely made me want to come back for the full dinner menu! I will 100000% be back.
Great service, good food and nice atmosphere but when we got the check it was an extra charge that it said “kitchen appreciation “ they charged that and you have to pay tax on top of the “appreciation “and from that total you tip the waiter. Really? Waiter are going to start getting low tips because of this new thing. Kitchen appreciation? What about guest appreciation?
Great little bar with inside seating, tables and booths as well as outoor seating on picnic tables for smokers.
If you like dive bars, you'll like this spot. It was a lovely evening, so we hung outside on the picnic benches which had better ambience, imho. Great prices on drinks and cool bartenders.
I was here 05/25/25, visiting this city for the first time and got to find this Gem. It was small but COZY. Very welcoming and attentive staff (Bartender especially) The door guy was nice too. Drinks were tasty & inexpensive. I did show up around 8:30ish, stayed till 11:30ish. By 11pm it was getting packed and the bartender was overwhelmed? She did great though! Payed $10 to see Forfiture and they did amazing. They had 3 live shows that night. Never heard of them before but I am now a new fan🖤 Bathrooms were clean &spacious, drinks were delicious, staff was sweet, and the show was GREAT 10 out f 10. Also, I was not dressed for this place at all, sorta looked like I was going to church (haha) but again, no judgement from anyone 🥰 Thank you guys. If you're nervous to check this place out, I say don't be! I took a Lyft here but the parking lot looked to extend to the back of the building. Also walked here from downtown, took 15 minutes 🤘🏽 P.s the bathroom had a lock🔒
Exactly what you are looking for in a goth dive bar. Excellent, friendly staff and customers. Solid drinks, good prices, most excellent music
Relaxed dive bar offering a varied line-up of local & touring bands in a casual space.
This place is a hidden gem. My bf and I loved it. Saw a edm show there. Had a great time the vibe was great the staff was great. Only thing I would say is they need some big fans for the dance floor need to be hooked up top somehow other then that amazing!!!
We came here to see Ott and several other EDM DJs and there was a lovely crowd, a great atmosphere lots of dancing and happy people having a good time. I enjoyed the beers and though we didn’t eat there the food smelled great!
Amazing and creative cocktails in a cozy space. The owners are incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. Loved the inventive spins on classic cocktails here as well as the interesting seasonal options. Definitely give this place your time!
I have tried hundreds of old fashioned riffs and the Gather Your Flowers was truly THE best Old Fashioned I’ve ever had. Not one of them, THE best. Truly an incredibly well balanced cocktail. I would fly into Asheville just for this. Highly recommend this bar!
No-frills neighborhood hangout hosting live bands & drag shows in a quirky vintage space.
This was such a fun and lively place. We were there this past Friday for their drag show. We were in town for a wedding. Every one was so kind. This is a very lively place. Great food and good drinks! I recommend the Philly, fries, jalapeño poppers, the sampler so you can try everything 😋 All of their food is really good! We will definitely be back! Side note: they do not have the Nachos anymore 😔
We visited the Odd during AVF Fest following recommendation from a friend and had a great time. The venue wasn't too busy but had a great vibe and felt well suited to rock and punk acts. Drink options were massive, including soft drinks, and between acts we tried the cheesesteaks which were shockingly good for $13 bar food. Wandering around after sets, it is absolutely worth enjoying the sheer craziness of the decor which quickly cemented this as our favourite local venue, to the extent we even grabbed one of their t-shirts. Definitely hoping to make it back for more gigs here, but there was also a great range of other events being advertised which makes it a great space. Also, don't forget to enjoy the murals and street art on the way out - they're great!
Art and culture downtown in Asheville. Take a walk arround the town to feel the amazing of art in every corner.
Fun vibe I live here now because of art music is amazing
Neighborhood watering hole serves up classic cocktails & house concoctions, plus select bites.
Love this place! I came here with my parents and we all really enjoyed our drinks. I was so happy to see zero-proof cocktails on the menu (thank you for offering those!) and both of mine were fantastic. My parents loved their regular cocktails as well. We grabbed a cozy spot by the window, which was really comfortable. Great atmosphere, great drinks - we’ll definitely be back!
Jazz night was fantastic with Jay Sanders on 🎸, Will on 🎷 and an amazing bassist and drummer! Creative cocktails, sips without alcohol, and snacks in a gorgeous atmosphere.
Excellent place for a drink in West Asheville. The atmosphere is fabulous; you walk down the steps, and it gets darker and quieter until you emerge into a subterranean cocoon of coolness and cocktails. The disconnect from the outside is unique, as most other bars have windows, outside noise, and natural light—all reminding you where you are, what the weather is, and what time of day it is. This bar is completely isolated in terms of outside sensory input. The effect is interesting, as you almost forget where you are. It reminded me of cellar bars in Prague. Inside, the aesthetic is something between a 60s rat-pack vibe and a palm reader's den, with quirky accents like lights in the shape of an outstretched hand. The very nice bartender was dressed in black and sort of disappeared and reappeared behind the dimly lit bar whenever needed, making some great drink recommendations. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.
One of my favorite haunts ❤️ there’s always a friendly face and an amazing drink waiting at the bottom of the steps. Sometimes fun snacks too. . As a small fem person, I also appreciate how safe I feel coming here alone. No one bothers me so I can even journal here. The bartenders are very attentive to any troublesome situations. 10/10 ✨
Dimly lit venue featuring over 700 spirits, beer & cocktails, plus live music & antique furnishings.
Found this really cool speakeasy in Asheville, North Carolina Very talented bartenders, great music and fun atmosphere. Had a wonderful time! Definitely check it out if you are in the area!
It's a great place, with great drinks. It's the kind of bar you'd expect to find on a night out with friends; it's "the bar." All the drinks we had were delicious. I have to say that not all the bar staff were friendly, but they didn't treat us badly. The place is unique, and you won't regret coming here for a drink. I had a strange drink, the Super Green, and wow, I saw it, I didn't love it, and then I tried it and wow, the taste! A great drink, it surprised me. I will definitely return to this place if I return to Asheville.
Savory sharing plates & sweet treats pair with cocktails, hookah & more in a cool space with a bar.
The atmosphere was stylish and fun, perfect for a relaxing evening. The food was absolutely delicious, even though I can’t recall every detail of the flavors, I just remember how good everything tasted. The rosé was excellent and paired so nicely with the desserts. Honestly, I left wishing I lived closer so I could come back more often. Truly a “wow” experience that I would highly recommend!
We stopped in after lunch, we’ve been to the one in charlotte so surely we thought this would be a good option. Loved the thicker than a snickers and my honey loved his drink as well. I love the intimate setting here. If you’re into hookah they have that too!
Comfortable Irish public house offering handcrafted ales, locally sourced pub grub & live music.
We found ourselves looking for some food before attending a concert in town and stumbled upon this neat British-style pub. We sat right down at the bar and were greeted immediately. I ordered a delicious IPA and the hubs ordered a Porter that he enjoyed every much. The ambiance in the place is awesome and the decor keeps you interested. He ordered the Fish-n-Chips, I ordered the Shepherd's Pie, and neither were great. The Shepherds pie tasted good, but left my tummy feeling a bit bumpy. The fish was very greasy and the oil that was used to fry it tasted a tad old, but the slaw that came with the fish was super yummy. We'll definitely go back, but we'd try something different on the menu the next time. The staff is amazing and the service was awesome!
Great service, great food, great music! This is the place to be. We stumbled across this place and had no idea the treat we would be in for. My wife even joined in Old Time jam session with her erhu. We had so much fun we cancelled our dinner reservation and stayed her until closing time. The Reuben sandwich was ace. As was the shepherds pie. Such a friendly staff and crowd!
My son and I were traveling through Asheville and stopped in and had an amazing dinner at the bar in this beautiful rooftop restaurant with killer views! Definitely stop into the Wildwood still when visiting Asheville you won’t be disappointed! They’re bourbon/whiskey selection is amazing!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wildwood Still in Asheville is an absolute gem and a true locals’ spot! From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the tone for a great experience. The food is absolutely delicious — every dish feels fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The drinks are equally impressive, with creative cocktails and a great selection that pair perfectly with the menu. The staff truly makes the place shine — friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Combined with the cozy yet vibrant environment, it’s the perfect spot for a night out, a casual drink, or a special occasion. Highly recommend!
Chic, turn-of-the-century-inspired spot offering specialty cocktails, a rooftop terrace & a patio.
Stopped in for a cocktail. Atmosphere is great. Friendly, helpful staff. The whole vibe is great. Order at the counter then you can even go upstairs and sit outside. Great cocktails, prepared and presented beautifully.
We had a blast stepping away from “Beer City” and back into my love of Whiskey and Bourbons…I was not disappointed, and did not have anything I would ever consider less than really REALLY good…and several were absolutely great! The service was top notch, the atmosphere could not have been any better! I might just have to make another trip to experience even more that they have to offer!
Vibrant taproom dishing out pub grub, burgers & sandwiches in an easygoing setting.
Love this place. Food and drinks are great and very reasonably priced. Nice inside with a great little patio with several tables and great vibe. Kind of hidden away, so you can usually find a place to sit. Free parking next door after 5pm. Side note...I do like this place, so I won't let one bad worker lower the score for the whole place, but there is a female bartender with such a negative vibe, next time I see her working, I'll turn around and go somewhere else. Two bartenders on when we went in on Sunday night, the guy was awesome. She was just really unpleasant to everyone, but because we're also in the biz, we left $30 cash tip on $100, because that's what service industry people do...not even a thank you. If she had been pleasant, or made even a tiny attempt to be kind, we would have stayed longer, purchased more and definitely tipped more.
Best beer cheese I've ever had. Great beer, Ruben was fantastic, wife loved the foggy salad. Dag gum. Glad we chose this little place. Thanks guys for showing a couple of Hoosier some hospitality. When I come back to Asheville, you'll see me again!
Casual haunt featuring piano duels & specialty cocktails in a 1920s space with a convivial vibe.
Stopped in on a Monday to checkout before flying back home the next morning. It was kind of dead when I was there (9:00-10:30) but it definitely picked up as the night went on. My gin & tonic was only $6 so whoever was complaining about drink prices, I can’t relate. The concept is great. Everyone was having a good time. $5 to get in during the week, $10 on weekends. You are given a request pad and bring it up to the pianist with cash and they play the song. The guy played a U2 cover of “Where the Streets Have No Name” that was impressive as hellll. A different review mentioned the size of the crowd will influence the vibe and I’d say that’s accurate. Definitely worth checking out but even more so on peak nights. It’s a really cool concept. 10/10 recommend.
Christopher (bar tender) 🍻 & Les (piano player 🎹) were great 👌 definitely loved the vibes and will be coming back. Les is extremely talented and did a great job with knowing the artists we made song recommendations for 🎶 if you're looking for a great time (any night other than Tuesday) 💯 recommend this place! Great sounds system set-up so you can sit anywhere. Great plentiful seating options. Side note: They host bachelorette parties 🎉 We got a few drinks (doing a tab helps you save $- just ask the bar tender) and got a handle full of wagon bucks for song requests 💸 They'll let you order food from outside and bring it in too! We didn't eat food there but ask Christopher about his claim to fame 🌮😉 If you're a visitor looking for a good place to support, Highly recommend🙌
Laid-back hangout featuring coffee drinks, select wines & artisanal brews, plus live entertainment.
Amazing lil spot in downtown Asheville. They make a fantastic espresso martini at a great price , a great portion and the fresh espresso makes it truly amazing . I found it quite delightful , and the space is hip but rustic and inviting , cool relaxing music, has outdoor seating , located on the corner of a busy intersection so great for people watching and they do events in plaza across the street. My pooch was welcome and treated like family which made it even more spectacular . Thank you Thomas and Macy for such a wonderful experience. Excellent hospitality and service ! Both were excellent at delivering true hospitality and a quality product that led to a memorable experience.
Best espresso martini, made with fresh espresso and not that sugary syrup. Great place to sit and grab a drink!
Heard a live band waa coming through by the name Free Flow! It was a time to be had and boy did we have a time. Fun night, band was amazing. Little spot with a huge heart. Loved every minute!
I've been hanging out here somewhat regularly for about 2 months and the place is pretty great. They have events on various nights like trivia and karaoke. There are games, billiards and dart boards but what i enjoy most is that they know how to make good cocktails. Especially on of the bartenders named Jordan.
A very unique place , good drinks , no burgers, Excellent stop.
Awesome, fun dive bar with great atmosphere. Cheap drinks. Solid beer selection. Cool bands play in an intimate side room. Board games, too. True Asheville staple
Pizza, steaks, burgers & Greek specialties are served in this casual bar & grill with a chill vibe.
We didn’t have a great experience at East Village Grill. The server was kind and friendly, but very slow. And maybe that was on the kitchen…. Unfortunately, the food was extremely bland—no real flavor in anything we tried. We ordered the salmon sandwich, fried mushrooms, fried oysters, and pasta, and everything tasted underseasoned and just flat. The sauces were okay, but not enough to save the dishes. Prices were decent, but overall, we were disappointed with the quality of the food.
Met an old friend for lunch yesterday and the place was packed. We had a short wait so we went to the bar and chatted and grabbed a soda. The bartender was like “you don’t have to pay me just let your server know once you sit down “ great touch! We started with the Tiger wings, they were awesome! Huge, breaded wings with just the right amount of sauce. I had the chicken Gyro which was great and my friend chose the classic Rueben and said it was spot on! When we left the place was still jamming at 2 o’clock for Monday lunch! My friend is a chef and I have been in the restaurant business for 25 years and this place does things right!!
Comfy lounge with craft cocktails, a modern interior & a heated roof deck with views of the city.
It is tough for my husband and I to give an unbiased review about the Pillar Rooftop Bar. Yes, it is on the rooftop of the Doubletree hotel in Ashville, and yes it has a spectacular view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and it is tiki themed drinks and food but what makes it truly wonderful and the reason we trekked across downtown Asheville is because it shares our last name. We recommend this place, it is a hidden gem. The outdoor rooftop patio is delightful. When the bartender learned our last name was Pillar, he lightheartly joked, "welcome to your bar." We bought lots of merch.
For a hotel roof top bar, its pretty sweet. Food is good and love the view and vibe. If you are staying at this hotel its pretty cool. Cheers.
Hip, multilevel bar with a vintage vibe serving craft cocktails & locally sourced New American fare.
Such a cool and eclectic vibe! Friendly staff and exquisite food. Their menu options are nothing short of ordinary, and of course their cocktails are a must try. It is a bit on the pricier side but you’re definitely paying for quality ingredients.
Stopped into Sovereign Remedies to wait out a summer rainstorm and ended up having a great time. We enjoyed a few well-crafted cocktails and appreciated the variety of seating options—from cozy couches to bar stools and corner tables. There’s even an upstairs dining area for a more elevated experience. It’s a charming spot on the corner, perfect for a midday hang with friends or a casual date. The atmosphere is both laid-back and stylish, and the staff was welcoming. Definitely a great place to unwind in downtown Asheville. #SovereignRemedies #CraftCocktails #AshevilleEats #RainyDayVibes #DowntownAsheville #HiddenGem
This is an absolutely beautiful rooftop bar experience. The staff are unbelievably pleasant. I felt so welcomed and was able to enjoy the views as a solo traveler. The atmosphere was congenial, and for us introverts, it wasn't pushy or taxing. The bar affords stunning views and a great bar selection with food options. Try this out. It's a must visit!
Service was friendly and bar has the best rooftop views we found in Asheville. There are 3 outdoor areas. Only one has shade in the afternoon. The tables are packed pretty close so you have to put up with hearing a lot of conversations that we found very annoying so we didn’t spend very long here. If you aren’t old and grumpy like I am you’ll enjoy it 😁
Enduring gay bar with games, videos & daily specials, with a dance club, The Underground, in back.
There was a pot luck gathering and it was so wonderful good food and good people coming together to have a great time and fellowship!! Highly recommend this event. First Sunday every month starts at 5:00 pm. Bring a dish and join us for some good food and fellowship!!
Loved Rene the bartender. Loved the drag show. There was another bartender or manager or staff who is white and was racist towards a patron who didn’t speak Spanish. When I translated for the patron she was rude. I gave her the benefit of the doubt to try and build a rapport but she was very cold and short. Her excuse was that it was end of the night and there were things she needed to do. Mind you, it was 20 minutes til closing and I’m a paying patron who tipped well all night. I connected very well with other stuff but these interactions with other this lady left a sour taste in my mouth. It seemed racially motivated since the patron she was directly dealing with did not fully speak English. Even when interjecting to translate she did not act pleasantly. If you support Latinos please do not go here.
Relaxed bar known for craft cocktails & burgers, with a patio & seating in a renovated vault.
Today was filled with the unexpected! One of which was Rankin Vault to grab a celebratory drink along with one of their Vault burgers we have been reading about. We chose to sit outside since it was a beautiful day. The walk-up window reminded me of being back in my old neighborhood. Nostalgic. It was nice. The burger! Flavor bomb! Perfectly cooked, lightly toasted bun. Dreaming about what the house made black bean burger tastes like…be back soon!
Not a lot of room, plenty to like A really enjoyable spot if you’re in town for a show or just passing through. It’s within walking distance of Harrah’s Cherokee Center, which makes it super convenient. I tried the wings, both classic buffalo and the intriguing peanut butter flavor, and both were surprisingly good. Pretty sure it was the deal of the night, so definitely worth it. Yes, it’s a tight fit inside, but everyone seemed to make it work and the atmosphere stayed lively without being overbearing. I also liked the multiple floors and levels, which gave it a more open feel than you’d expect from a smaller bar. Overall, a great stop before or after an event. Will be back.
Cozy, quirky haunt offering pub fare & local craft beer on tap, plus Ping-Pong, foosball & a patio.
I have loved this establishment for over a decade! The servers and owners are amazing. It's a dive bar/locals bar...if you can't handle a dive bar, then don't come. The food is awesome and brunch is where it's at! Thank me later after you put the biscuits and gravy in your mouth!
It was New Years Eve and I happened to wander into this cool little place. Everyone behind the bar was super nice, friendly and very attentive. I loved their simple inexpensive bar menu and all of the offerings coming out of the kitchen looked nice ... I had the black bean nachos with a generous portion of guacamole to compliment my cocktail. It was a nice way to end 2022 ... and begin 2023.
A curated selection of craft beers, including housemade brews, plus pub grub in a bi-level space.
Thirsty Monk is a great spot to get a drink. We spent the majority of our time on the basement level, which had a cozy atmosphere perfect for enjoying a unique selection of beers. I particularly enjoyed the strawberry beer—it was refreshing and flavorful. The ground and higher levels serve different types of beers, offering a variety of options for all tastes. While it can get a bit loud at times, the friendly staff more than make up for it with their excellent service and welcoming attitude. Overall, Thirsty Monk is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy a drink.
Hidden gem bar. One of our favorites! To get to the Belgium bar you meter the facility at street level then by the bar is the staircase to the Belgium bar that is downstairs. Great beer selection and all we tried was delicious. Bartender was great as well. Make sure to meet Arthur the pink elephant and get your picture with him! Parking is limited. Some paid street parking but paid parking lots nearby.
Neighborhood bar/eatery with burgers & other grub, plus late hours, live music & TVs showing sports.
Popped in to order food to go and ended up grabbing a drink while I was waiting. Definitely a hole in the wall vibe that looks to be the spot for locals. Everyone seemed friendly and laid back. I was immediately greeted when I walked in by a very lively waitress. There was karaoke on at the time, mainly country songs if that's your thing. Outside front patio seating area and the pool tables were popular. Food took a bit to come out, but from the looks of it, there was only one cook in the kitchen. Tatchos left a little to be desired. The "chili" seemed to be just about 10 lonely kidney beans - no meat or sauce to speak of. The chopped onions were comically large. The MacDaddy patty was cooked to order as I liked. Unfortunately, it barely had any sauce and was the chopped lettuce was entirely missing. Again, the chopped onions and pickles were very generous in size. Overall, it's your basic bar with basic food. Don't come here expecting bougie cocktails and a gourmet meal. It shines in the "social" aspect well. Very inviting environment and clientele to interact among.
I had a great time at The Social in Asheville! Met some amazing people, the atmosphere was super welcoming, and the pool was a fun bonus. Karaoke was a blast and really brought everyone together. Definitely a spot to check out if you’re looking for good vibes and great company!
This place really sucks. My dad was called a homophobe without reason and this was a fabricated story. Litterally was standing feet away. Someone started shit inside this bar and wasnt kicked because they were a regular and manipulated their way. Not only is this place lined with your grandmothers carpet but the atmosphere and people suck if you wanna see what asheville is all about i highly recommend checking out another pool hall with better people better bartenders better tables and a hell of alot better atmosphere. This was extremely disappointing. Wont be back and i really think everyone should know just how bad this place sucks. It is no wonder this place is seated far away from ashevilles center. And i advise anyone to stay away
Great local spot for a brew and some pool. Staff is always friendly and serves you quickly. Limited parking available. The liquor and beer selection is great!
Laid-back option serving an array of cocktails & beers plus pool tables & other games.
This is a bar, music and drinks. No food. A large space with outdoor seating. They hold events so check the website and they have Skee-Ball, Cornhole and Billiards. The staff is great, service and drinks are always on point.
We visit Asheville every year for a couple weeks. Usually it's just bike riding and sleeping when we visit but given we've started line dancing I found Banks Ave Bar has dedicated evenings for doing so and also adds in teaching to help us develop. Perfect. Tonight was our first visit and it was FANTASTIC. I cannot say enough good about the staff, the patrons, and everyone who was helpful. I would call them out here by name but that might be a little too intrusive for some. Did I mention how welcome I felt? It was truly a highlight of our trip ... which is just starting, ... which means there are two more line dancing nights while we are in town and oh yes, we're going back. Also, the bartender helped me select the one beer I would drink. They do have a lot available but I can now order what I want without delay and will certainly do so during our upcoming visits. A solid 11 out of 10.
Craft cocktails, local beers & small plates served in a chic setting with a rooftop terrace.
Not a full outdoor patio with a view but a nice place to enjoy the outdoors, a breeze and some great food. Service was fantastic, as was the grilled ravioli. Menu/food is an extension of Strada.
We were visiting Asheville for the weekend and decided to stop in for dinner. We started off getting an Italian soda and the house white wined of the night. We ordered a ceasar salad and calamari for appetizers. The drinks and appetizers were great and we were super excited for the rest of the meal. For entrees, I ordered the duck and my partner ordered the seafood pasta. It took about 45 minutes after we finished our appetizers for our mains to come out. We were very disappointed with the quantity of the entrees. I had ordered the duck medium rare- as all duck should be served- but it came out more on the rare/raw side. I asked our server to have the kitchen cook it a little bit more and when it was brought back it was obvious that it had been microwaved. The fat from the duck had spread to the other parts of the dish. The texture was tough and taste of the duck was entirely different. My partner’s pasta dish was advertised as a fettuccini, but the pasta served was about the thickness of a pappardelle. The seafood was not bad, but the pasta was disappointing. Overall the service and atmosphere were top tier. Our server was very attentive and music very much fit the vibe of the space. However, the food was not with the $120 we paid for it. They also add in an optional kitchen appreciation fee of 4%, which seems crazy considering the price of the food.
Wood-&-brick tavern offering local craft beers on tap, a lengthy bar-food menu & live blues.
I have been a patron since they first opened, but not anymore. Their salad sent my partner to the ER and then mission hospital for 5 days and she is still recovering.beware romaine lettuce i called and left messages but not a single reply from anyone there. Shame on you westville pub. Eat at your own risk
Their 7 beer dip was amazing.. they will valet your parking .. but do that first ..
Burgers & beers are the specialties at this casual option with games, a patio & a kids' playground.
A very fun spot to grab a bite to eat, drinks some brews, play darts, watch the game, and much more! The food came out quick and was very fulfilling. The bartender was epic and we loved talking with him. Can’t wait to come back and play more bar games and slam some more food! We got the tap house burger and sweet Thai chili wings and loved them! My boyfriend drank the gingers revenge and I got the Foothills IPA.
This place is on point. All of our food was delicious. The veggie burger, kettle chips, sweet tea, chips, fries, pickled veggies, sweet potato fries and feta dip for the sweet potato fries were all really good. I didn’t try the rest of our food but my family loved it. Good beer options too. Cute place. Clean. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. Nice outdoor space out back. Nice air conditioned space indoors. Darts and arcade space looked fun.
Sorry to the server who had to deal with my 5.5 year old cranky daughter and her complaints of no strawberry shortcake. I just wanted to watch the sunset with some ice cream and a Prosecco for me and my wife. Nope. Even ordering a red velvet cake didn’t work! Probably because the cake wasn’t very good. But the view was great! I took her to the basement game room. Which went..
The Observatory rooftop bar in Asheville is an absolute gem and easily one of the best spots in the city for a night out. From the moment we stepped in, the vibe was perfect—chic, relaxed, and full of great energy. The views from the rooftop are stunning, especially around sunset, and really add something special to the experience. The drinks were top-tier. Creative cocktails made with fresh ingredients, and everything was well-balanced and delicious. The bartenders clearly know what they’re doing. We tried a few different ones throughout the night and loved every single one. The food was just as impressive—elevated small plates with bold flavors that paired perfectly with the drinks. You can tell they put real thought into the menu. What really made the night was the atmosphere. The music, the lighting, the overall layout—it’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay all evening. Me and my friends had a blast just hanging out, laughing, and soaking it all in. The staff was friendly and attentive, too, which made the whole experience seamless. If you’re in Asheville and want a classy, fun spot with amazing views and great vibes, The Observatory is a must. Five stars, no question.
The staff is amazing. AVL Sports Club offers a great experience where you can hit the court for basketball or pickleball, catch a game on its numerous TVs, or relax outside and enjoy the breeze. The drinks are well priced, and ASC offers a full selection including beer, wine, liquor, seltzers, and non-alcoholic (NA) beverages. I've never been disappointed—it's always a blast!
Had a really poor experience here. The place looks great and my family tried to plan an event here for over 100 people. We emailed, called and I even visited the place 3 times in an effort to plan the event for the day after my son's wedding. We just couldn't get the event management to follow through and tell us if they would host our event. One of the times I showed up at noon (they were supposed to be open at 10a.m.) they were still locked up. The other visit the one of the employees told me they were leaning towards hosting our event and would let us know shortly, but they never got back to us. We ended up moving the event next door to Wicked Weed after 15 minutes of conversation. The service was like night and day. Wicked Weed was way more professional. I am thinking either the management or the ownership doesn't really care to attract new customers. Maybe they are doing so well they don't need them. Too bad the place looked pretty cool.
Sleek hangout featuring craft cocktails, nibbles & mountain views in a rustic–chic interior.
Do yourself a favor and hit up The Montford Rooftop Bar! It’s on the 8th floor of the Doubletree Hilton in Asheville, NC, and you just hop on the elevator right outside the hotel’s main entrance. The weather was kinda meh during our visit, but the atmosphere was still awesome. It wasn’t crowded when we went, bc of the weather, but I’d prob make a reservation on a nice day. The staff was super nice, El at the front desk was a gem, and our waiter Ambrose made the night even better with his great service. They’ve got many food options on their seasonal menu, and a variety of drink options. The food was very good, we got the truffle fries, short rib mac and cheese, and a peach ham pistachio flatbread! Also, for it being small plates the portion sizes were great! Can’t wait to go back when the weather’s nicer, but honestly, it’s the Smoky Mountains, so you know how it goes. Completely worth checking out!
Love love love love love!!!! We had dinner here and of course we waited til last minute but our waitress was super sweet and gave us the heads up about the kitchen closing. The views were breath taking, and the drinks were amazing! Will definitely try brunch at this phenomenal place next time we’re in town.
Polished, laid-back taproom offering pizzas & pub grub, craft beers, free live music & billiards.
Love this bar. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. Pool, darts, shuffleboard and casual sitting areas. They also play good music and sometimes have live music. It’s a great hangout for locals and tourists. Make sure you try some of their signature cocktails. Yum. If you liked the Salvage Station and are missing the great team who brought you that magical place, you’re going to love this place.
Table for 2 for lunch We had just arrived in town and had an activity scheduled in the next couple of hours. I looked out of our hotel window and spotted Barley’s Taproom and Pizzeria right across the street. We finished up in the room, crossed the street, and entered. We were greeted warmly, seated quickly, and provided with some menus. The place only had a few other customers, and the dining room was spacious but a bit dark. They had a second level, but the stairs were blocked off, so I didn’t get a chance to explore. We reviewed the beer menu, which was pretty extensive. We tried a couple of tasters. I sampled the Hazy IPA, and Wifey had the wheat offering. We loved both of them and ordered full sizes. We quickly decided on our food order. Wifey went for one slice of her favorite Margherita, and I ordered two slices of Pepperoni, debating between one or two but settling on two. As we waited for our food, we enjoyed the unexpected R&B music selection playing in the background. We were loving it. Before we knew it, our pizzas arrived. Pizza is all about the crust for me, and it was super crunchy. We both enjoyed our food, and I probably could have just ordered one slice. This place delivered great pizza and beer with quick, pleasant service at reasonable prices.I would definitely recommend a visit. 4.5 Rating
Daily drink specials & pub grub offered in a warm atmosphere with pool, darts & a deck.
Excellent local pub that has been in Asheville for several decades. Great wings and fish and chips. The kitchen is open until 1130 so you can get local food fairly late.
Burger was average. Not enough seats at the bar. Could use some updates to decor. Average place. I would go again
Tropical cocktails, basic bar food & regular live music in a quirky, unfussy bar with tiki idols.
The most excellent dive bar. Part tikki, part pirate, and part Beetlejuice themed. The bartender, Adam, was excellent. Nice, attentive, helpful. The steady stream of regulars were nice folks. A good selection of local craft beer as well as some good mixed drinks. Prices were great. Had a great conversation with Bruce, a 91-year-old regular who was born and raised in nashville. Running into people like Bruce is just one of the reasons why dive bars are so awesome.
Best described as a 'dive bar' with good tropical (some tiki) drinks. Enjoyed the 'Monkey's Fist'. The 'Mai Tai' had stronger mint and lime flavors than I've experienced at other tiki bars, but it was great!
Bar serving whiskey & handcrafted cocktails in a classy space a with a rooftop patio.
This bar is a bit different from the rise of a bunch of new roof top bars. It has a more load-back vibe. Bartenders were very friendly and take pride in the quality they provided. Nice inside area with a smaller patio that gets quite warm in the day.
Went on a Monday evening. Up the stairs into a quaint bar. "Mondays with Rob." Rob, the bartender, was fantastic, with great recommendations and spirits knowledge. I got a rickey with strawberry and basil and my friend got the sunset as our 1st round. They were both great, complex but with complimentary flavors. Sat outside for a bit then went back to order our 2nd round, the philly punch bowl and the southern charm. Also great Cocktails. Good flowing conversation from the bartender Rob and the other patrons inside, and it was a great experience. We will be back again!
Funky, speakeasy-style bar in a tiny house offering regular karaoke, plus a big bourbon list.
MOST EXCELLENT DIVE BAR! I love this place! My daughter in law and her husband introduced me to this place for the first time this past weekend. I wish I lived closer so that I could go here more frequently. GREAT selection of beer, liquor and other drinks. The decor/atmosphere is excellent! Inside space is very welcoming and comfortable. Lots of outside seating (but it was really cold the night we were there so we stayed inside). Bartender was nice and helpful. Looks like they have all kinds of events all the time --- something for everybody. I WILL BE BACK!
Cozy divey bar with stellar service and cold brews.
..Cool place to go when your daughter completely flips out at the 6th floor rooftop observation bar during a perfect sunset and you have a $15 Prosecco spill all over your lap then pay for an hours’s worth of bowling that lasts 30 minutes and you go home angry. The old fashioned was decent.
We happened upon this cozy spot while staying at The Restoration Hotel. What a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy games of all sorts, including pinball, golf, ski-ball, Pac-Man and more. All games but bowling are free to paying customers. We had a great time, enjoyed the food and plan to return with friends soon.
Easygoing sports pub with a huge beer selection, specialty cocktails & lots of flat-screens.
Really great food! We got the cheese curds, nachos and loaded fries. We had a great server who was very accommodating. It was pretty hot on the inside but the food definitely made up for it. They have lots of beer options too.
The Philly sandwich was so moist and tender. The bun was a nice dense bread with flakes of salt one of the best Philly s ive had, and the sweet potato fries were some of the best I've had in a long time. Tasty with a slight crisp on the outside. Not limp like most.
Hip, unfussy bar featuring a lively crowd who come for live music & craft beers.
pretty strong drinks for pretty cheap and excellent bartenders. Problem is it took me half an hour to get in because the bouncers took my very real ID because they thought it was fake. Didn’t seem like they know much and mine just got taken because it’s out of state and I was the last one in my group. Had to call the cops to get it back. I understand that’s normal protocol but it took forever and I didn’t get an apology or a drink on the house or anything.
It’s usually fire as hell music and drinks are good but there’s one bald head ah bouncer who suddenly charged us 5$ CASH ONLY bc we “weren’t regulars” when we’ve literally been there 4+ times in the past 3 months lol there’s always the same nice lady bartender and she’s even complemented my shirt but anyways after all that we saw the ppl before us get in FREE and the folks behind us got offered to pay through cashapp or Zelle? like what tha helly??? Word of advice if you see a 5’10 bald head white guy with a hat, don’t even bother going in bc he’s gonna hassle you fr
Informal joint featuring cocktails & bar grub, plus live bands, old-school video games & pinball.
Solid "dive" bar but that's my jam. Staff were cool. It's a members only thing but all you have to do is be decent, sign in and you're good. If you want craft beers and kale salad this is not for you. They have chips for a buck. If you remember the Highlander from ATL and liked it then this is your home away from home.
If you’re looking for a dive bar with a personality then this is the place…. The vibe… the atmosphere is what it is AWESOME… strong drinks … cheep beers … a down right service industry type bar with a punk rock attitude! The service was on point and exceptional but read the room don’t expect to be more then what it is… props to the bartender Sarah! She crushed it and made it an excellent experience!!! I 1000% recommend this being a stop!
Sprawling nightspot with VIP tables & a DJ-driven dance floor with high-tech lighting & sound.
One of the better night clubs in Asheville. It’s vibing on the weekends. It’s a hit or miss based on the DJ. The bartenders are friendly. There is a cover changer on the weekends. Overall not bad for a night club
