This is one of our favorite spots! Delicious drinks, friendly staff and live music on the weekends. It’s got a lovely vibe, very relaxed and retro inside. There’s a large outdoor patio and a fire pit and another new large stage outside. This place used to be a famous bbq restaurant and it’s still owned by the same family. They are really good folks and nice people. Their tee shirts say “I was about to make your drink but I got sidetracked !” We’ve had lots of fun here.
Great place to relax at a great local family owned bar. Great selection of alcohol with an impressive collection of bourbons and single malts awaiting you. Huge outdoor space, with numerous seating locations. The parking can be slammed and still there's plenty of room. Decor is fantastic 70s with local sports, golf and culture on display. Friendly folks all-around with a good truck on-site most days. Run, don't walk to Sidetracks.
Amazing food and service! The portions are HUGE and such a great price!! I got the chicken over fries and both the taste and portion really blew me away! The white sauce is delicious and the chicken was very well seasoned! A must try at Franklin Street!
First time coming here and it was fantastic! food was super fresh and made to order. i got the chicken and gyro over fries and it was a lot of food. i was able to finish it but could easily be two meals. the meat was flavorful but i really enjoyed how much sauce they give you. the staff was super friendly and checked in on us if we were alright. the meal plus a drink was about $17. great value. it was a little warm in the restaurant due to the kitchen being in the same room. i would definitely come back again to try other items on their menu. parking was a little bit difficult to find so plan accordingly.
Open, chill atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating including a bar with outdoor seats. They offer ping pong, foosball, a milkshake shop with both kid and adult shakes, and a lunch/dinner menu with nice variety and quality. We enjoyed the salmon bowl, arugula & prosciutto pizza, and two apps. Service was friendly, efficient, and helpful. This may become our regular spot when we are in town.
100/100 definitely recommend this place! Check it out for sure. Kid-Family Friendly. Buffalo Dip , Pizza , Burgers , Milkshakes to Margaritas and Draft Beer all in one place. Everything is delicious, everyone was polite and overall a great experience.
Easygoing, classic roadhouse bar offering a basic drinks menu & regular live music.
It's a cozy rustic bar with that rural spirit that you find only here. Come to socialize and drink, meet new friends. People are easy here with the good vibes.
Great time with the onyx club boys 🇫🇷 playing this past weekend. Small place, great service at the bar. Good beer selection. Will return.
favorite bar in chapel hill, staff is lovely, drinks are reasonably priced and so yummy, their food is also awesome and served late night. Northside you will always be loved!
Very chill and laid back atmosphere. The drinks were ok, but the food was amazing.
Intimate live-music venue & bar hosting local & touring rock bands for an all-ages audience.
Used to come to shows here like 10 yrs ago, first time back last night to see Oliver Francis. Great vibes, nice drink selection, and I love that they still do free popcorn and easily accessible water coolers. Sick murals on the wall, good lighting, intimate size venue with a unique layout
Got to see Ouija Macc here. Absolutely love the place. Very juggalo friendly. The bar service was on point as well. I didn't know they had food, so can't tell you anything about that. But the venue is a vibe. I definitely recommend checking a show here. 🦈💙🫵
Vintage-style cocktail bar mixing handcrafted drinks from a selection of 500+ spirits which line the wall.
Actually really enjoyed. Got the elderflower signature drink. Ginger forward but super nice. The cucumber was really good. It’s a bit pricy, $15 per drink. But ambient atmosphere for a conversation. Empty on a Sunday at 7p but got populated by 8:30. Sophisticated vibe. Great lighting.
One of the nicest spots in Chapel Hill. It's clean, classy, and elevated. The cocktails are wonderful, and their whisky selection is large! A lot of good, hard to find, rare, and allocated whiskies. Prices can be a little high, but the atmosphere makes it worth it. The pool table in the back is great! The decor is great! The service is top class! And the drinks are unique and good! Parking can be difficult to find. Not kid friendly. Very Handicap accessible.
Great little spot, tons of live music events, & great drinks! They have a front patio & alleyway seating, and I believe they’re pet friendly (at least on the patio). The owners work their asses off to make it an amazing place & they really care about their community. Check it out!
Neat little dive bar on the Carrboro Chapel Hill borderline. Next door to Rumors (where you can resell clothing) which is why I suggest if you're waiting while clothes are getting checked out then heading on in here to have a drink while you wait. They have college basketball on right now GO HEELS 🩵💙🐏 and there's quite a few fellow Carolina fans here to cheer and jeer with! Lapin Bleu also has live music so come on down, grab a bar stool and a cold drink and make sure to tip your bartenders!
Giving this 5 stars for two reasons: value-for-money drinks and the arcade games. They have a “surprise me cider / beer” where for 3.5$ you get a beer or a cider. Make note that the sliders are quite sugary/sweet if that’s not your preference. Even the cocktails are well priced. It’s a dive bar vibe. Bring some quarters and play some games (or ask the cash up front, he’ll give you some) The shooting game is $0.75 per person, the ball one is $0.25 for each round
Such a fun place. Nola themed with two pool tables and other arcade games. Drinks are average, but bartenders were friendly. Played good music - Mac Miller/Childish Gambino vibe
Casual Pints has friendly staff and a chill atmosphere. It’s a great place to watch football and try some craft beer I normally wouldn’t be able to try. I didn’t have any of the bar bites, but I did have an ice cream sandwich and that was lovely.
Incredible service! While we were there, not only did they provide us with options when we were trying out beers, we also we blessed by their great hospitality when we spilled a drink. Not only did they help us clean it up, they got another new beer for us too! This will definitely be a go-to for us in the Chapel Hill area! Take time to come over, play a game or two, and get a good snack!
Cozy, neighborhood joint with an ample selection of brews, a diverse crowd & a relaxed atmosphere.
Walked by this place a million times, and I finally stopped in for a beer. It’s a small, warm bar. There’s an okay variety of beer and liquor, nothing fancy. I’d probably stop by again, but not too often. Can’t imagine that place busy, though. You’d be a sardine.
Nice chill spot.. evening late night. Bill was awesome! Nice atmosphere and decor. Music was a vibe. Stop in solo make some friends or bring your friends.. they got a pool table.
Iconic underground hangout with a dark, intimate vibe featuring live music most nights & a full bar.
The bar is super cool itself and definitely a vibe, however the bartenders for the night of 9/26 late night had horrible attitudes. It’s my birthday on Monday (9/29) so I simply asked if there were any birthday drinks and a simple no would’ve sufficed but he said definitely not if it’s in 2 days. it was a simple question?? could’ve just said no and then continued to mock me and say “oh my birthday is in 3 weeks i want a shot” that response was sassy and unacceptable. other then the bartender, the spot is cool!
Love this spot! Great basement hole in the wall style bar. Great lighting and awesome vibe. Be brave and walk down the steps.
Stopped here on a whim for a drink after having dinner up the street and it was an amazing decision! Bar tender and chef were extremely friendly, front deck was super pleasant, and my cocktail was delicious. We will be back!
Enjoyed a great night there for a memorial celebration. Owner, and his staff went out of there way to ensure everyone had a wonderful time. All the food dishes were excellent and service was quick. Great place to eat and drink with friends or make new ones.
Craft beers on tap & a variety of American eats at this lively brewpub with a patio & sports on TV.
I was really disappointed during my recent visit to The Brewery. While the food was good, it took our server almost 15 mins to greet us, and the state of the menus were absolutely unacceptable. The paper menus were filthy, stained, and clearly not being maintained properly. The main menus had food stuck to them and the beer menu looked like someone bit the top of it. It’s honestly shocking that in 2025, a place like this in a college town is still using paper menus in such poor condition. This is not a minor issue, it really impacts the overall experience. There’s no reason for a restaurant to have menus that look and feel so gross. It would be a huge improvement if they switched to laminated menus or something more hygienic and durable. Not to mention, switching to something other than paper menus would be a more sustainable, eco-friendly choice. My family and I won’t be returning unless they make some serious changes to how they handle this basic part of the dining experience. Hoping they make improvements soon!
Gameday for early lunch. Not very busy, but service was super slow. Food was ok. Not great quality. Beer wasn't great. Hostess vaping at the front should have tipped me off.
Storied collegial haunt offering a multitude of draft beers & an unpretentious vibe.
Chapel Hill staple. Live band on the weekend sometimes ($5 and a huge vibe). $10 for the “blue cup” and it’s beer good for 2-3 people, tbh. Been to the trivia on Thursdays 8.30pm. Also good vibes. Outdoor space is super nice. Generally quite college-y, nothing too fancy, but it’s a nice gathering spot. Outdoors > indoors, but there are seats everywhere. Pretty dead on like, a Monday. $5 blues cups on Tuesdays.
you can get the beer that you like. Prices are great. Outdoor environment is great
Compact joint offering burgers & other basics, plus many TVs tuned to sports in a chill ambiance.
When we entered this busy establishment both of the young hostesses gave us pleasant greetings. As it was super busy we decided to dine at the bar. Fletcher our server quickly took care of us and checked on us constantly. Emily her cheerful colleague also helped out. I asked for a Caesar Salad with a medium rare salmon. The cooks did an outstanding job and prepared the salmon exactly the way I wanted it. Thanks Four Corners for looking after us. We hope to return one day.
Alana was the best server we have had here in a while. She should be the one to train the others. Our cups were never empty and she checked on us just enough! On a side note there was a man at the bar with a Rottweiler dog at the bar that kept snapping at people. Other than that it was an amazing night. Food was great and service was amazing.
Easygoing hangout offering many varieties of beer, plus regular trivia nights, karaoke & DJs.
Normally a fan of this place, but friend was rejected because the LAZY bouncer who needs a chair apparently thought her photo didn’t look like her (she was 16 when the photo was taken, and she has the same hair type, color, and eye color). She’s over 21 and this is the first time this has ever happened. Heard many other stories about this particular bouncer too, so congratulations on having a bouncer that’s actively losing you money.
I used to really like this place. Some really nice people. Until they hired some guy named Varun. Super rude. Was told by the bouncer I could bring in my leftovers and once inside. Varun took it upon himself to snatch them without good reason. Mind you I didn’t even have them open. I proceeded to grab them and it made him angry. This time he proceeded to throw the directly into the trash. At this point I was no longer gonna eat them but the principal of it all disturbed me. I grabbed them from the can and he proceeded to grab me from my shoulders and say “it’s time to go buddy.” The hostility was so uncalled for. My friend group as witness saw the whole thing unfold. Had been favorite place for years. All the other bartenders are great.
Relaxed brewpub offering American comfort food, TV sports & a spacious outdoor patio.
Unprofessional service from the bouncer on a game day. I understand busy service days yet it does excuse disrespectful behavior.
I can guarantee a great time. It's a college crowd. Service is going to be on point. The beer selection is always what you expect. Oh and it will be be cold!!! Management does a very nice job. Great local joint. Support your local establishments.
Serving up pizza, wings & burgers, this relaxed sports bar with beer on tap features patio seating.
Good food and a nice place for us even with the family. (Note that they have Kids eats free on Sundays). We come on a weekend when students were not fully back yet so the place feels relaxed and quiet- which was what we needed for the day. We will definitely come back again. Our waitress Maisie was amazing. Maisie was patient and nice. She answered all of our questions.
Solid burger but some crunchy pickles would have made it better. It was a filling meal. Worth a try if you’re in the area hungry and looking for something fairly quick.
