Off the beat’n path. Drinks are cheep. Super old-school dive vibes (pool tables, chairs from the 70s, bras having off stuff, good times!). Staff is ALWAYS fantastic. Love it.
We 💙 the yacht club!!! It's our favorite haunt!!! Great place to relax & have a good time!!!!
The epitome of a hidden gem in the Greensboro area. I want to get the word out to as many lounge loving, cocktail drinking, socializing people out there as possible. Seriously, without a doubt, and hands down one of the funnest vibes you can have when you want to enjoy a fun afternoon in the sun on an amazing patio, a quaint evening inside this beautiful home turned into a lounge, enjoy eclectic drinks with your significant other or friends, or just about any time you want a fun day or evening out. Don’t miss this one. This is a newer addition to the State Street vibe, located next to Mizumi Sushi. (Pro tip and side note, if there’s an hour plus wait at Mizumi, put your name in and come here and experience this venue for a few drinks while you wait. You’ll be back next time just for this.) We walked up to the gorgeous exterior on a sunny Saturday afternoon in March. Our eyes ate first and took in the amazing exterior and patio with a flourishing garden. Pics speak for themselves. First impressions were second to none. The drinks, service and ambiance followed it to a tee… We were greeted warmly by Daniel, the bartender manning the eclectic bar. Funny, personable and knowledgeable, all qualities if a great bartender. If you can, make sure to enjoy his humor and knowledge when you’re there. The drinks speak for themselves. “Oh Snap!” for me and a personal concoction for my wife came first. My wife wasn’t sure what she wanted, but told Daniel she was thirsty for something light and fun that she could enjoy on their beautiful patio in the sun. Sure enough, Daniel made a personal cocktail perfectly fitting for her that she could enjoy on this sunny afternoon day. Again, the experience here was on a whole different level…thank you. Following up, I had a smoked old fashioned, after which you could smell the pleasant aromas of the smoke used for this cocktail. Many senses got to enjoy it here to the fullest…sight, smell and taste. Something special happened next, which you can’t have at 99.9% of cocktail lounges across the whole US. Daniel pulled out a bottle of 23 year old Pappy van Winkle, of which I got to taste a 1oz pour. Any bourbon aficionado out there will know what I’m talking about. And if you want some of this delectable bottle, be sure to drop by soon. Again, thank you for an amazing experience, we will definitely be back. Be sure not to miss this truly amazing hidden gem in Greensboro.
This cozy little gem is a wonderful addition to the charm of State St. in Greensboro. They have a great variety of all sorts of alcoholic beverages. Whether you're in the mood for a classic cocktail, or something seasonal and festive, their drink menu has a nice selection to choose from. Just as their name implies, they also have a very impressive assortment of bitters and other bar essentials to take home. And if you like relaxing at 4:20, they even carry a variety of locally sourced legal cannabis drinks and treats! If beer is more your style, they have a great selection of beer too. There are several cozy rooms to just kick back and unwind, an upstairs to relax with friends, board games to enjoy, and lovely local art to gaze upon and buy! They frequently offer activities, workshops, and pop-ups, so be sure to follow them. Please stop by and see what they're all about!
The Continental is one of the classiest hang out spot in Greensboro. The bar tenders are very familiar with classic cocktails and are well trained and very sociable. This is one of the greatest to hear new local artists, up and coming bands, jazz music, and good spot to hang out and meet good people.
I recently had the pleasure of attending The Bolling Show at Greensboro’s newest jazz gem, The Continental Club, and it was an unforgettable evening that transported me straight to the heart of New York’s Village jazz scene. Located at 816 South Elm Street, The Continental Club exudes a swanky, intimate ambiance with its plush leather seating, dim lighting, and chic decor . The venue offers a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for jazz enthusiasts and casual listeners alike. The performance featured the talented Greensboro Bolling Ensemble, led by pianist Stephanie Lindley, with Brian Blauch on flute, Gavin Douglas on guitar, Virginia Masius on bass, and Steve McHugh on drums . Their rendition of Claude Bolling’s classical-jazz crossover pieces, including selections from the Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano and the Picnic Suite, was both technically impressive and emotionally resonant. The ensemble’s chemistry and passion brought Bolling’s compositions to life, creating a dynamic and engaging performance. The Continental Club’s commitment to showcasing high-caliber local talent and providing a top-notch listening environment makes it a standout addition to Greensboro’s music scene. Whether you’re a seasoned jazz aficionado or new to the genre, an evening at The Continental Club promises a memorable experience.
Marjae’s is such a gem in Greensboro! Beautiful place aesthetically, drinks on point, and staff is so sweet and amazing! Thank you so much for hosting myself and my girls the day before my wedding! We had a great time hanging out!! The owner and staff are so nice & accommodating! They went above & beyond to decorate for us and make the place extra special for us! The specialized cookies, games, music, etc. made our night extra special!! Thank you all so much! Will definitely be back! Highly recommend for events & hangouts!
A hidden gem for sure! The cocktails are amazing! The owner is such a sweetie and such great customer service and the place is a whole vibe. My girls and I came through for a wine down Wednesday....BTW drinks were half off! We played some board games...had great drinks and great girl talk all while being well taken care of. AND THE MUSIC!!!! Top tier!!! I will absolutely be back!
Great beer! New location in Greensboro with beer, wine and liquor. Not super busy on a Friday night but walked right over from dinner
Old Mill location is very iconic and comfortable. Can be a little intimidating to find if it's your first time here but we'll worth it. Plenty of seating inside and out. Helpful staff and a big beer selection. Also have wine, liquor, and other options too.
Cocktail Cove is hands-down my favorite spot in Greensboro! Mike is absolutely amazing—his energy, creativity, and attention to detail make every visit a treat. The cocktails here are on another level—balanced, unique, and consistently the best in the city. Whether you're a cocktail connoisseur or just want something delicious and well-crafted, this is the place. Can’t recommend it enough!
Stop in and say hi to Matt! He’s creating delicious and unique cocktails. Small inside, but also has small back patio and also shares space with McGee. Juices and flavors are fresh made.
Compact performance space for local, regional & national stand-up acts, plus improv shows.
We had a great experience coming here for one of their improv shows. The actual venue is very cozy and pretty small, you are literally feet away from the actors! The show I saw was funny. There was a nice chemistry between the actors. I definitely recommend and hope to come by again soon!
This place is absolutely amazing! A super cool and welcoming comedy club that always has great laughs and great times. NO drink minimum for shows but a great bar inside with a great beer bar across the parking lot. Great for dates and great for friends looking for a fun night out!
North American classics mix with some international flavors at this neighborhood bar & kitchen.
First time ever coming here, and this hole-in-the-wall is legit! Decently stocked liquor, only select brews, but honestly the close quarters environment must Def makes up for it. It's cozy, comfortable, decent prices considering the amazing food quality. I'm for it.
Great little hole in the wall with delicious food and amazing cocktails. I ordered the Mike’s hot honey chicken without a bun and the asparagus as the side and all of it was delicious! My daughter ordered the same on the sandwich with the waffle fries, which were perfectly salted and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend the large Marge and their bourbon selection is decent.
We love a solid local music spot, and that's exactly what Flat Iron is! Truly an underrated (and maybe hidden) gem of the town, Flat Iron presents some of the best sounds of all across the state and beyond! Don't let this venue go under your radar!
Flat Iron is always on point!!! If you love music and being around people that love music, this is definitely the place for you. Caleb is an amazing bartender with skills… cocktails were amazing. Johnny Utah, Negroni and Shot of Air are delicious, Great staff, great owners and great music. If you are in the area it’s a venue you absolutely should check out. If you’re not in the area, plan a trip and check them out. You will be glad you did!
Best beer bar in Greensboro. Excellent selection on draft and in cans; plus wine and cocktails. They have plenty of TVs for sports (especially soccer) and bartenders/owners are awesome! Outside seating is plentiful and parking is easy.
We went out of our way to check this place out and we are so glad we did! Joe was nice and helpful and answered dozens of questions I had about all the menu and cooler items. A great location to play board games or have a quiet conversation. Highly recommend, we will be back.
truly, an exceptional bar in every way, from the beautiful and friendly bartenders, some of the best I’ve ever been with, to the new friends you make every single time you go in, to the neon and excellent music playing this bar has something for any sports fan. This may be possibly the best bar in my humble opinion in Greensboro. 9/10, would recommend, will always go back. -1 for food off premise.
April is the best!! Wish I could give her 10 stars-she takes care of her guests and makes everyone feel at home. Good food, quick service, friendly staff, clean bathrooms and free popcorn 😊
This is definitely one of my favorite places to come for bourbon or cocktails. Every drink is crafted well and tastes amazing. The bartenders are well-versed and extremely friendly.
This is my Go-To bar of alllll time here in Greensboro. I walk in and the bartenders already know to serve me my favorite cocktail “My Lady Grey”!!!! I can never have just one drink lol seriously. Quality in each pour along with good vibes is unmatched. I Will always show love to Dram & Drought.
Spacious hangout with an old-school roadside bar vibe for many tobacco flavors, pool tables & beer.
I come here all the time, one of the best Holkah locations in the Greensboro area. During the day it’s calm and relaxing - good if you want to do work or just decompress after a long day. They have amazing tea and a very melo setting. Friday/Saturday nights after 11pm you’ll see more of a young vibrant crowd. A great time to meet with friends with good music, live DJ and have a good time. I would definitely go here if you love hookah!
SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE THE YOUNG LADY WORKED THERE DIDNT CARE TO ANDWER ANY QUESTIONS AT ALL SHE DIDNT PROPERLY SERVE US, the HOOKAH TASTED LIKE STRAIGHT WATER NO FLAVOR WHAT SO EVER , SHE JUST CARED TO HURRY UP AND SIT HER ASS DOWN ON THE CHAIRS. SERVICE FROM 0-10 0! Do Not recommend ! I CAME HERE A YEAR AGO AND IT WAS BETTER THEN THIS !
Casual, contemporary wine bar & bistro serving microbrews, craft cocktails & creative small plates.
We popped in this past Friday to introduce some new to town friends to my favorite spot. The staff is incredible as always but Michael went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and then some- no one does a better dirty martini! Safe to say, our guests were thoroughly impressed. Thank you Michael and your staff for an awesome evening.
Such a good place! Very nice atmosphere and vibe- dark lighting and nicely dressed wait staff. Staff is also very professional and nice! Their food is SO good. Highly recommend the seafood and burger. Very small menu but everything is good. They have a very large cocktail menu with a drink anyone is bound to like. Definitely would recommend making a reservation as there is almost always a wait- especially on the weekends. I often forget about this place. Great place for a date night, parents in town, entertaining customers, etc. great place for “fine dining”.
Clubby pub vibe with a long list of beers on tap & menu of sandwiches, pizzas & other tavern fare.
Shocked at how good the food was. Bartenders couldn’t t be bothered to walk to you to help, but were helpful once you walked up to the bar. No worries on that, it’s different but fine. The food though…. Very very good eats at this spot. Ranch is super expensive btw.
We stopped in after a campus walk about to cool off and have a snack. This is a straight up pub. Loved the draft selection. The place has a long bar and high tables. We ordered the hot pretzels and fries and had sodas and literally chilled. The bar tender was very nice and always checking in while waiting on everyone and making the place look great. We will be back for some ramen and a draft sometime.
Neighborhood bar offering craft beer & cocktails along with music nights, pool & a convivial vibe.
Our friend took us here for karaoke on Friday night. Around 9 ish, it was chill and not as crowded so it was fun to get the night going. Then more folks showed up and it really started the night! A lot of fun people around dancing and enjoying the vibes. I also appreciated that it’s an extremely queer friendly space. It was a great night!
Rolled the dice that the reviews were correct for Tuesday Karaoke being available and they were! We got there at shift change. Karaoke was 9:00 - 12:00 Drink specials were a domestic beer and well shot combo, Narragansett and some cannabis based seltzer. Karaoke DJ had a book to browse for song availability and a sign up sheet. He kept a good pace of people moving up to sing. VERY locals/neighborhood crowd. People and staff were friendly enough.
Great place all around! Similators are the best in the Greensboro and surrounding area, with more than just golf. Staff is extremely friendly and service always excellent. Great place to watch a game, play bar games like darts or pool, or just stop for a drink. With fun and creative events, plus simulator leagues, this place is always offering somethign new and worth continuing to go back.
Tried out the Clubhouse this evening for a few after dinner drinks and games! We loved the dart set up and enjoyed the golf simulator even more. Service was awesome and love the nice open atmosphere of the location with comfortable furniture for anyone just looking to observe. So much so, I will more than likely be booking my mid-winter birthday party here! Happy to have something so fun located close to our home!
What a hidden gem this arcade turned out to be! All of the games work and there is not a single game that goes over #4 tokens. They have great food, a bar, and loads of free events! The bar even does "mock"tails for those of us that don't want alcohol. The pinball selection is wonderful! This is a must stop location for everyone looking for a good time and YES, this place is kid friendly until a certain time at night).
Great place for a date night or to chill with friends. Tons of arcade games, strong drinks and clean. The food selection was small....mostly pizza, pretzels, and salad. I would love to see a burger on the menu. It's right in the heart of downtown Greensboro. Definitely recommend!
Great open mic on Thursday nights. A lot of fun with a chill atmosphere.
It is a great atmosphere, full of amazing people, diversity, great live music and great drinks. You won't be disappointed.
Raise your hand if you’re tired of hearing about the “new hidden gem” in town. Well, this is one of the rare times it’s actually true. Speakeasy Tavern in Greensboro is an amazing spot that delivers on every level. This two-story bar has everything you could want—great food, a chill atmosphere, and even board games to keep things fun. Whether you're there for drinks, casual conversation, or just to unwind, it’s got the perfect vibe. I was genuinely shocked at the quality of the food—it’s not just your typical bar fare. Everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared, which is a pleasant surprise for a place that primarily markets itself as a tavern. The layout is also worth mentioning. With two levels, there’s plenty of space, so it never feels too crowded. The downstairs area has a cozy, relaxed feel, while the upstairs offers more seating and a great view of the action below. If you’re looking for a laid-back yet lively place to grab drinks, play a few board games, and enjoy surprisingly good food, Speakeasy Tavern is absolutely worth checking out. This is one hidden gem that actually lives up to the hype.
I stopped in for some wings and noticed seared tuna on the menu as well so I ordered both. Both were good. Not outta this world but I’d return.
We had a great time at First Class on July 3rd! The place was lively with people enjoying karaoke, good food, and a fun vibe. Even though it was busy, we got a table right away. Our waiter was super attentive and helped us pick from the menu. My wife got the garlic butter shrimp, and I had the barbecue chicken—both were delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming and fun, perfect for a night out. We’ll definitely be back, whether it’s for another meal or just to hang out in the lounge.
5 Stars – A Hidden Gem in Greensboro! I had the pleasure of dining at *First Class* in Greensboro, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and upscale without being pretentious. The service was truly first-class—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Now let’s talk about the food—absolutely delicious! Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The menu offered a great variety, and everything we ordered came out fresh and perfectly cooked. If you're looking for a place with great vibes, outstanding service, and high-quality food, First Class is the spot. Greensboro has a lot to offer, but this place definitely stands out. I’ll be back soon!
Easygoing sports bar offering wings, many draft beers & lively events like karaoke.
Comfortable spot for a beer and a quick bite. Obviously has a local crowd but staff are super friendly with new faces. Good draft selection and full bar. Had the rancher which was a chefs salad with grilled chicken. Kitchen gets props for realizing they forgot the egg before my server or I did and gave her some egg to add to the salad. Recognizing it and reacting gets big credit in my book. Especially when it seemed busy with lots of orders!
Wasn't the best Ruben I've ever had, but it was good and the side salad was a good size with all great stuff in it! The corn ribs was pretty good but for the price I would have thought we would have gotten more. Burgers are very flavorful and delicious will definitely go back for that and want to try a few other things I saw on the menu.
Lobster pasta was just ok. The empanadas were awesome! Drinks were good. The music and atmosphere was great. I will need to go back to try some new things. Good spot for a ladies brunch or dinner.
This restaurant is nice inside. I didn't care for the food. I had the salmon and mashed potatoes with vegetables. The salmon was dry and the mashed potatoes were not real potatoes. They were too thin and lacked flavor. I think salmon pairs better with rice. The broccoli was good and seasoned well. My friend had the pasta and she wasn't impressed with her meal either. The lemon pepper chicken wings were fried good but it tasted like they was really heavy on the lemon pepper and it tasted salty. The service was great. We went there for her birthday but we didn't get the fun that's described in some of the other reviews. We saw a large group that looked like they were having a great time. It's nice inside. The drinks were good. The prices are reasonable. The parking sucks but it's downtown. It's always difficult to park downtown. I would go there again for drinks but I'll pass on the food. They do have a nice area to take pictures at.
I spent a week in town and drank my way through Muddle’s entire cocktail menu — and then some. As someone who treats cocktails like an art form, I’m rarely impressed. But Kris and LT? They knocked it out of the park every single time. Each drink was a masterpiece: balanced, inventive, and dangerously easy to fall in love with. Even the off-menu creations were so good, I suspect they might actually read minds. Muddle isn’t just a bar; it’s a stage where every cocktail is the star of the show. These two should have a line out the door every night I’m beyond thrilled to have stumbled into this liquid wonderland. Consider me a lifelong fan.
A true neighborhood gem. The space feels cozy and intimate without being stuffy with just the right balance of music and lighting. Every cocktail was balanced and crafted with precision. This is the kind of lounge bar that makes you want to stay with friends for one more round - and come back soon.
Celtic watering hole pouring UK beers alongside Irish-American bar food in cozy digs with a patio.
Went here after spending the day at the Greensboro Science Center and wanting to eat something different. Decided to go with Irish food and saw this restaurant nearby. Parked in the adjacent parking lot and went in. The host was very courteous and we were seated quick. The menu has a 50/50 variety of Irish food and also Southern Soul food. I was surprised and glad because everything on the menu sounded delicious. Went with a pint of Guinness and the BB Fried chicken with mac n cheese, mashed potatoes with gravy and subd the collared greens for brussel sprouts. The food was delicious and hot temperature-wise. It was the perfect amount, not too much or too little. Afterwards I ordered the deep fried oreos for dessert. They came out quick and were good too. Now I know where to come next time I'm in Greensboro. The prices were good also.
Definitely try the spinach dip, it was delicious. We both got wraps & they were good. I do wish they had the same portion sizes but overall they were yummy. Macaroni was good, but previous review photos show it has changed. I would recommend this place if you’re nearby!
I enjoyed every bite!!! It was all so delicious! I ordered the burger with swiss cheese and mushrooms and I was not disappointed! The burger had flavor! The bun was so soft, yummy! The fries were different and I loved those too! The steak and cheese appetizer rolls with the dip was good too. It's a hard decision between the burger and cheese cake on which one was best! That cheese cake was smack ya mama delicious! Unfortunately I was lazy and didn’t go there. I had my food delivered so I can't rate anything else. I highly recommend and I will be returning! I love a good burger and they have some fun things to do! The prices are reasonable. I'll update the service, parking etc when I eat inside! It's a 10 for me!
You can get it all here, good service, good food and, good cocktails! We have been planning to come check this place out for a while and I hate we waited so long. Dakota took great care of us. We had the Buffalo Bump (buffalo chicken sandwich) and the Western Western walk on smash burger. The tots were excellent and the onion rings were literally perfect! We had a sidecar and the pistachio espresso martini was a delicious take on the original! Definitely 10/10 no notes!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sam is hands down one of the best in the business! From the moment we walked into Boo Radley’s, they made us feel like regulars. Friendly, fast, and always on point—Sam knows how to keep the vibe fun and the drinks flowing. You can tell they truly care about making sure everyone has a great time. If you’re lucky enough to get Sam behind the bar, you’re in for a great night. Cheers to good people and even better service!
Sam is the best! My drink is never empty around her. The best service in all of guilford county!
Fun, dive bar atmosphere, great bartender while I was there too.
Local dive. Cheap beer and friendly service. Mostly college students and younger millennials.
If you're looking for a place with good prices and drinks, plus friendly staff, well, welcome to this bar.
Everybody gets along just fine ‘cause the champagne tastes like elderberry wine, and the pink boiled eggs stay afloat in the brine.
Casual local hangout offering burgers, brews & other bar basics, with games & a dog-friendly patio.
I can't believe the waiter saw me multiple times eating without utensil and didn't offer me utensil or napkins, I ate with my finger 😐 not to mention my brother got his order all wrong. And on top of everything they will charge you a 20% charge for non tipper? I gave a dollar tip cause I tip base on the service. You provide good service to me and I make sure I take care of you. But I have to say this place is definitely in my top 3 out of the thousands of places I visited that I the service was poop. I will come back only whenever the waitress is not there. I could keep going on the negative things but ill keep it to myself.
I have been dining at this place for over 10 years and the food is amazing, the quality is A-1, The service is great is great, I really enjoy the specials, the owner cares enough to name a few after her employees, not to mention she is A-1 herself, Ms.Anna Frieberg who has now married an amazing gentleman who's last name i apologize I can not spell. Anna will speak to you upon arrival if she is on the floor, she is down to earth and will only entertain the best in food choices so please give Benders Tavern a try.
Had a great time celebrating my bday month! Yes, Leo season and had good reasonable drinks by some very cool bar tenders, security was cool and the ppl were awesome
The Bearded Goat is hands down my favorite bar in Greensboro. I’ve been coming here for years, and in that time, I’ve made lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories. It has all the charm of a dive bar, but with a cleaner, more polished vibe and an extensive whiskey and bourbon selection. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. The staff are some of the friendliest, coolest people you’ll ever meet. They know how to make a great drink, and the specials are always on point. The patio is easily the best in town, also! It is covered in cool street art. It’s the perfect spot to relax get inspired, and just enjoy good company. If you’re looking for a laid-back yet lively bar with great drinks, an awesome crowd, and a one-of-a-kind vibe, The GOAT is it! Five stars all the way!!
This neighborhood bar hosts regular themed nights such as karaoke, with drinks specials.
Melissa was amazing I have been a bartender and a bar manager. Melissa is the greatest bartender I’ve ever encountered in my life. You’ve never had a lemon drop until you’ve had hers. Calling all people who truly like a good cocktail/ mixed drink. Check her out.
I was visiting North Carolina on Vacation and decided to go out , Granted my first mistake may have been … going to a place called Corner Bar but Yikes , went into the woman’s Bathroom to use it as most drinking people do and Yuck ! The video will speak for itself, This is not one day of not cleaning .. The Bartenders attitude wasn’t much better than the bathrooms.
Home sweet home! We were visiting from out of town and we found the best neighborhood pub! Carrie was our bartender and she was fantastic!! We will be back to Walker's very soon!
Honestly a pretty great atmosphere and lovely crowd. The bar staff were great to my group having been visitors for the first time. Couldn't have asked for better service at all! They always asked if we needed anything and we were happy to be served in such a courteous manner. Would definitely recommend!
Draft beer in a spacious, industrial sports bar with many pool tables, plus dart boards & a patio.
Amazing sports bar with a nice outside patio, great pool tables, dart boards, music, and aesthetic bar!
Great place to play pool, darts or watch the game. They have a TouchTunes jukebox too. Bathrooms are clean and stocked. Staff are friendly. Pool tables and sticks are kept in good condition. They don’t have a kitchen but the sushi place next door is excellent.
American pub standards like burgers, wings & craft beer in chill surrounds with sports on TV.
This place is beyond amazing. This is my first time coming here after hearing all about the food & bar from other people in the area. When you first come in, you are greeted with a very nice, clean, big atmosphere that is well organized full of tables. I was seated around the bar, which is a pretty huge bar in the middle of the restaurant that wraps around. They have various alcohol selection that appeal to costumers wanting a drink. Our waitress was a sweet girl named Savanath who was on her A game, taking tables constantly and checking up on people. She had a smile and sweet tone in her voice the whole entire time we were there and even as we were leaving. She constantly checked up on us and got needed items very fast and also swept up dirty plates as soon as possible. She is a hard worker. I'd definitely recommend her as a waitress. We ordered the smash burger with french fries and the hand breaded chicken tenders with tater tots. The chicken tenders were made with fresh white chicken breast that was super juicy and cooked to perfection. It sent my taste buds to heaven and constantly was dripping juice. It was perfectly soft but also crunchy on the outside, not chewy at all on the inside. The tater tots were super crunchy and so good alongside the french fries. The smash burger was juicy as well and was stuffed so much with goodness. It was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. The cheese was even perfectly melted like you would see on TV. Also, bathrooms were beautiful and very big, with huge mirrors that I didn't expect myself to see. The prices for everything overall were really good and average for how much food they gave on ur plate and how just absolutely delicious everything was. I definitely would come back here in the future. I'd also recommend them adding more future items to the menu with how delightful everything is. This is truly a one of a kind food experience. I'd recommend trying to others. Keep up the good work!
Took us over two years to finally try this place, but we finally went. First off, food was great. Love a place where I can get some solid "bar" type food, particularly the fish and chips. I'll say they were super busy, so we got no refills for our drinks which was regrettable. However, I'll probably go again and then update this review, but that's where it stands now. Still a firm recommend for anyone looking for good food, and an upbeat atmosphere.
Unfussy joint offering bar bites, American entrees & sports broadcasts in a casual setting.
Nice neighborhood bar feel, very welcoming as soon as you walk in you can feel the vibe. Amber the bartender greeted a lot of the regulars by name. I was told by a regular to try the hotdogs, that was a great recommendation the hotdogs were good and along with the onion rings was a good small after work meal. I will be returning to try an entree out. I would recommend anyone that’s in that area to stop by, and give them a try.
This place is 😋 yummo -our best go to for lunch and dinner. Can't go wrong , great comfort food, drinks and not stuffy. Friendly easy going atmosphere. And prices are very reasonable. Try it...you'll get hooked 🤩
American grub & 100+ beers served in an unpretentious setting with a patio & sports on TV.
This place is always decently busy or what feels like always closed but whenever they are opened and not so busy get the time to stop and come by here to try it out because their food is really good. The atmosphere is very comfy and has a nice decore style choice, almost like western downtown style vibes. The waitresses are really nice and all pretty women with bubbly personalities living up to their jobs' fullest expectations. They are fast to get refills, clean up dirty plates and wipe down tables, check up on their tables, and get any needed extra items the customer may ask for. The food is so good, the burgers are so juicy and perfectly cooked to your liking with a slight crunchy rim around the patty, which makes you want to just down the burger right then and there. And the melted cheese is the perfect amount coating the burger patty, and it's so stretchy but not at all chewy it melts in ur mouth perfectly. They also give you the perfect amount of ur side choice with ur meal. I will definitely keep coming here in the future.
Nice tavern atmosphere. The servers were quick and attentive. The food was really good. It seems that burgers and sandwiches are their specialty. I had Nashville hot chicken and it really had some kick to it. If you ask for lemon, lime, orange, or all three in your water, they will hook you up. I would love to eat here again.
I came for my first time just looking for a nice place to have some drinks. I’m kind of new in town. I was looking at the shooter menu and I went ahead and ordered three pink lemon drops for four dollars each when I got my tab it was billed for three lemon drops at six dollars each. I inquired about the price stated that they thought that I was ordering a different drink. The bartender took the gun back and he made a big grass and provided a fourth one which kind of made up for the difference. I was still charged $18 instead of 16+ tax then the bartender tried to give the drinks that I had just squeezed the lemons on and put the lemon in the cup to someone else for free. I let the person know that my fingers were just in that drink and then the bartender made them another drink. I doubt I’m returning.
I just want to say today was my first time coming to this establishment, the environment, music and vibes was on point that’s to Qween ( bar manager) . The service was spectacular and my needs were met. i really enjoyed myself and will definitely be coming back hopefully every thursday 😊🎉🎉
Unassuming performance venue featuring rotating jazz & live music, plus beer, wine & cocktails.
I Always have a good time when I go to Boston's Jazz 🎶
One of the best establishment In this area I have been to and I have visited and supported many of night clubs since 1994. Everything was perfect. I had a question for the manager and he even gave me his time and answered all my questions. Mr. Buck was great.
Relaxed bar & grill with a wide selection of tap beer, wings & burgers, plus pool, darts & TVs.
Update - bumping it up a star since they gave a reasonable response and refunded the wings without me requesting it. Jakes is a shadow of what it once was. About mid way through the pandemic, everything tanked. They cut ~half of the wing sauces, specifically all of the spicy ones. They never brought back beer dinners (it was a excellent food/beer pairing prefix dinner ) and only brought back weekly pint nights (free glass when ordering the brewery's pint) to semi-monthly. There were prolly 3 years I would come weekly for the wings and glass. The food quality now is just bad. My last order (3/15/25) the wings were barely cooked with feathers still on the wings (see pics). It's just sad. Jakes used to be the best wing spot in town. And it's still a blast playing pool here. The staff is still incredible. These failures are definitely not on them. It seems like its the owners. Thankfully, the last time they had my favorite super hot wing sauce (Francisco), one of the bartenders told me that was their last batch. But he brought out the recipe for me to take a picture of it :) Maybe one day it'll regain its glory. The community and staff there rock. If it does, I'll update this review again.
Great place to have some food, drinks, pool and sports! The food is typically hot and fresh and hasn't let me done in my experiences going there. I typically order wings and mozzarella cheese sticks. My only complaint everything I'm there are a couple of the regular servers act as though you're troubling them when ordering food or drinks (especially if you expect them to check back on you) versus being inviting and welcoming for betterment of the business they work for. A couple of these servers should be put out to graze at IHOP or Waffle house with their infectious attitude!
Listen up !!!! Danielle knows my greedy tail is funny about food. I tell you things wings are cooked to perfection!!!!!! She said I would love them!! And I do !!! Esp. Plain with Blue cheese 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😘😘😘😘😘 And the chicken cheese sub , green , peppers , onions etc. Ms Mandy !!! Hey 👋. You always take the time to speak when I rushing for work. 🤩
I had the cheesesteak and every morsel of it was flavorful, fresh and hit the spot. My hubby had the club sandwich, it wad so big he took half of it home. Fries are crispy, tasty and cooked just right. Service was good. Booths were comfortable, bar looked inviting, lots of TVs. Only negative wad music was so loud you could not have a conversation even with person sitting next to you. Parking was easy and readily available. Will go back
I'm really disappointed. We came by this restaurant to eat on a Sunday evening. There were two large tables. My husband said one was an 8 top table. The hostess claimed there were two 12 top tables, and she was not allowed to separate them. The only choice we were given was to eat outside or wait up to 45 minutes. I asked if those tables were reserved for a call ahead party. Her response was no. A group of 6 people came in before us and were told the same thing. Let me get this straight, you just had 12 people, in two different groups, that came through your door willing to eat and pay money, but you won't separate the tables? You won't separate them in case a hypothetical group of 12 comes in? If this hypothetical party of 12 comes in without a reservation, would they not have to wait until we are done eating? Just like you are asking me to wait? I hope you can see how ridiculous this is. This is bad customer service! We went up the road and spent money at another restaurant that wanted our business. Where has common sense gone?
Food was amazing, it was inexpensive. They only had like 2 waitresses for the 15-20 tables so service wasn’t as good as it could have been because she was rushed. But she was a great waitress. The atmosphere was okay, a lot of sports designs and tv’s. Food did take a while to come out but was worth the wait!
Unfussy hangout with pool tables & a jukebox offering beer, mixed drinks & bar food.
We were visiting Greensboro and stopped in to play some pool. It was a very nice establishment and the staff was great. They had a DJ as well and gave the place a nice vibe and the music wasn't too loud which was a plus. We had a great time and would recommend it. Definitely would go back if we come back for a visit.
Great place. The tables are always clean and well maintained. The bartenders are friendly and attentive. Very nice place to relax and play pool
I liked it. The wings could've been better because they weren't fried hard like I requested, but the sauce was good. The drinks were nice and decently priced. The service was cool, and the music was popping. We went on a Friday night. It wasn't packed, but it had a good energy and vibe. I would definitely visit again!
It cost nothing to be a good person and I should not have to keep telling grown people this! Thanks to the beautiful girl (inside and out) that was working with the pickup orders we need more of you…….nothing to the female that was making the drinks thinking she was better than, you’re not important.
OneThirteen is always an experience. The music is always very concert-like, so if you aren't looking for a loud vibe, the bottom floor is not for you! Great that you have a few different options of bars and levels to hang out at, but best one is probably the rooftop. Seems they might need to up their staff, as the bottom level bar is regularly overcrowded and with the busy-ness, people get overlooked left and right, and not the friendliest service. The bars on the upper levels however are much better paced. We enjoy coming here as there is a variety of experiences to choose from, and the cover is cheap to get in, when they have one.
I went there for a painting class and I don't drink and they don't have food. I went to the convenient mart next door and bought a slim Jim. I was there to paint, so that was OK. Every one who was drinking seemed to be enjoying themselves. They have 3 stories including a rooftop. If I was going to drink I would have liked to be on the top floor. The Painted Daizy was the company that did our painting class. They will be back here on July 23rd I believe. Check them out on Facebook.
Vibrant gay nightspot with pool & a patio, plus various events, including karaoke & trivia nights.
It was my first time. I had heard a lot of great things from friends saying it was fun and nice! One of my friends was so excited to go out, and I was too because it had been a long time since I had been out. When we got there, the show was going and the drag queens were fabulous! Then it was time for dancing, and my friend wanted to dance. An older guy followed us to the dance floor and kept getting closer and closer to my friend and wiggling his eyebrows. We went outside. Going back inside, and girl asked if she could dance with us because the same guy started getting uncomfortably close and not taking the spoken word "no" for an answer. We went back outside to talk to the security guard that looked really cool. When we explained what happened, the security guard told us "he's just really weird and socially awkward and needs friends. If he does something then I'll do something about it" or something similar. The security guard told us the creepy guy did that a lot, and that he just wanted to make friends. We were more than upset, but there was nothing more we could do. We tried to go back in to dance. I noticed the same guy and stepped between my friend and the guy. He moved to stare at their chest behind me and kept getting closer. The girl went to buy a drink, and the creepy guy went to insistently try to pay for her drink. She kept telling him "no thanks" at least 9 times before I stepped between them because he kept inching closer to her if she looked away. The bartender named Glenn told the creepy guy to leave her alone. The bartender served other people at the bar, then left, came back looking at the girl as if she was an alien. She said her drink order to him again, and ended it with saying "yeah." I can understand and see the "yeah" coming across as sassy or rude, but it's a club. It's loud. You can't hear anything unless you yell, and sometimes tone is thrown off by the yelling. Glenn the bartender repeated her "yeah" in a passive aggressive comeback and then told her she was cut off after her one beer. We went outside, group hugged, then left. The drag queens were sweet and lovely, the security guard seemed cool part of the time, it was fun to dance a bit before the creepy guy showed up. But overall, it wasn't a good experience.
I have a friend visiting from Melbourne Australia who had not seen any of our LGTBQ+ venues in his 3 months here so far. Chemistry blew his mind, he loved the drag show performance the ambience and inclusivity. We had a wonderful time dancing!!
I’m not from NC, but this is by far the worse strip club I ever been to. I had $500 in $1 and didn’t throw a single dollar. Also the liquor is water down cause I know what liquor taste like. One of the dancers tried to trick me said it’s better in the back but i said I’m good rather tip the bartender. I’ll never go back there wish the the entry was free
I hadn't been to a club in a while and just felt like hitting a club and hanging out around some beautiful women. Pure Gold did not disappoint me. The girls were cool, absolutely gorgeous, approachable and down to earth. The drinks were affordable and I enjoyed my time there. I actually returned the next day because I enjoyed my time there that much.
We went on a Friday Night at around 7:50pm and stayed until 12Am. We mainly went to see the Air Faeries. The decor and drink presentations are beautiful, and the drinks taste great. Service is as quick as they can be during busy hours and they are very friendly. Booths and seats are very comfortable; I highly recommend getting a table before 9 pm. The Air Faeries don’t perform consistently. It was disappointing to see one perform for 2 minutes then talk at the bar for another 10. It’s marketed as a lounge but it’s very hard to talk after 8pm weekends because they start blasting music, so I recommend going before then if you want a nice atmosphere to talk. It starts turning into a club, but there’s almost no walk room or room at the bar to order anything. Everyone is crowded at the front door so it’s frustrating to get past people. Staff should usher people to spread out so others can get past. Sometimes the music is so loud that bartenders can’t hear customers while they’re stressed and under pressure, so it would be great if The Quarter could turn down the volume a tad. Overall, it’s a great bar to try but I wouldn’t recommend if you want personal space or a “talking” atmosphere.
Had been meaning to check this place out, came in with an out-of-town guest of mine, and ran into other friends. Had a couple of rounds of great drinks. Great service. Loved it. Thought it was very cute. We’ll be back! Like every other place down on this street, you either search for street parking or use the paid lot nearby.
Sorry for the blurry photos! I ordered the seafood platter (fried flounder and shrimp with loaded mash potatoes) and unfortunately, I was not impressed. The seafood had a bizarre taste and lacked real seasoning/flavor. I placed a curbside pickup order online and the guy who handed me the food was pleasant! This is my first time here so perhaps I need to try other items? I normally cook at home, so that could also be the problem lol. Overall 3/10
Such great tasty food! Great flavors! Great staff! Decently priced.
Gorgeous dancers wth diverse looks . Friendly and attentive to all who enter. Clean and classy interiors. SO many options for VIP services. You are guaranteed to have a good time and get plenty of attention from some of the finest girls in the triad. The bartenders and hosts are so nice and easy on the eyes themselves. Classy and sexy club for grown people
I love coming here for day and night shift! The bartender Tacoma is SEXY and she makes good strong drinks. The Dj Sonnie knows her music and how to make the crowd happy
Smokehouse & barbecue dishes fill out the menu of this easygoing bar & grill chain.
A : We went in not expecting much. We were promptly seated. Everything from the service to the food even the background music was spot on. Our server was Khyia and she was so great. She was attentive and talkative which I enjoyed. Definitely coming back to see her and have the amazing food
Dined here for date night last Friday. Our waitress Selen was new and did a good job considering the circumstances. The air conditioning was out in the building and they were using fans. I would suggest that the front staff mentions these kinds of things at the door before seating the customers. But we decided to stay anyway. The food here really is consistently really good and dare I say the BEST jumbo wings I've ever had! That Memphis rub is perfection and a new favorite flavor for me 😍. We will continue to eat here in the future.
Casual tavern with lots of TVs for watching sports & a wide selection of beers & typical pub food.
Coopers Ale House in Greensboro caught me off guard in the best way. I was staying at the Wyndham Garden Inn, and since the restaurant is connected, it felt like the easy choice. I expected the usual hotel bar food, but what I got was way better than that. The food was surprisingly good—wings, burgers, and apps all hitting right at the level you hope for when you’re hungry and looking to chill. I stopped in to catch the Crawford vs. Canelo fight, and for just a $5 entry fee, Coopers turned into a full-on event. The place was packed, the screens lit up, and the energy was wild. Crawford put the beats on Canelo, and the crowd fed off every moment. What really made the night, though, were the vibes. This place was bumping—dancing, singing, laughter at every corner. It’s rare to find a sports bar that feels like both a game watch spot and a party, but Coopers nailed it. Between the solid food, the nonstop energy, and the convenience of being connected to the hotel, Coopers ended up being one of the highlights of my stay. If you want good eats with high vibes, this is it.
The food here is great, but the atmosphere at the entrance is very unwelcoming. After traveling for 10 hours, I checked into the hotel connected to this venue and placed a to-go order. While waiting, I walked over to the nearby BP to grab a Dr Pepper. When I came back to pick up my food, I was stopped at the entrance by four security guards who insisted I couldn’t bring the bottle inside and demanded I take it to “my car” which wasn’t anywhere near me. After such a long day, this interaction felt unnecessary and frustrating. I wasn’t trying to dine in—just grab my order and head to my room. Instead, I was made to feel unwelcome and ended up calling for a refund as I walked back to the hotel. Thankfully, the staff inside were kind enough to meet me at the door with my food, but even then security continued to glare at me and comment about the bottle. I understand the need for security, but the way this was handled felt excessive and unprofessional. For guests simply picking up a to-go order, policies like this come across as petty and risk overshadowing the quality of the food and service inside. Additionally, apparently you need a NC ID to enter after a certain time(after 9?). What sense does it make to advertise in the connected hotel(where a lot of people will likely have out of state IDs) and then have policies that prevent people from getting their food they have paid for? Sadly, no where during the online ordering process was any of these security measures mentioned after a certain time. I also did not see a way to have the order delivered to my room. I do hope future travelers have a better experience than the one that was provided to me this evening. Best wishes.
Local sports bar chain serving steak, seafood & pub grub in a lively, contemporary setting.
We always have a good time at kickback but the first time at this location. Philly cheesesteak eggrolls were BLAND AND CHEWY. Our server was attentive until we got our food, then we didn't see her.. Had to ask other servers for our missed items that were not delivered with our meal as requested.. Salad, steak sauce, appetizer plates. Not a real sense of teamwork at this location.. Asking for anything from a server other than ours seemed to be taboo! Several times when we asked for something, we got the "I'm not your server" look. If OUR server was more attentive and present, then we wouldn't have HAD to ask for anything. Overall our meal was delicious and of course we'll return!
Funny Clay was the team lead who came to explain why the plate had scrapes of tiny pieces of fish portions, he said we weight out 8ozs of fish, if we get a piece that is to big we break it smaller so it equals the 8ozs. I don't know about anyone else but I don't want anyone breaking the fish in eating into smaller pieces so the equal 8ozs. I asked why not leave the fish big and remove the smaller pieces so the food looks appetizing, he said he doesn't understand what I mean. 🙄😫 Super frustrating, I said I'm not eating that because it looked like fish scraps on a plate. He told me he can't take it back because nothing was wrong with it. 😳 after I told him I didn't want it. The waitress came over asking if he was able to handle the situation. Once I told her what he said she walked away and he came back laughing asking if I was going to eat the broken up fish. Once I replied no, he took the plate while laughing. I didn't find this humorous at all. Horrible team lead.
$20 cover charge that I’m grateful I didn’t pay for a boring club that barely got any good space, music, and entertainment. Rather go across the street to drink and chill then have a bunch of people standing around like npcs. Also need a new door lady her lil rude ah
DO NOT buy those cabana lounge Halloween event tickets. A very large group of people were scammed and did not get their money back. I’m not sure 100% if the owner was involved but we talked to him and it seemed as if he was. The situation escalated to everyone being threatened with guns. We left and called the cops. When we walked into this place it looked like a cardboard box. When we passed by again the police had closed the place and four people were sitting outside. Just do not buy those crawl tickets. This is the only bar that will know anything. You’ll show up to be scammed. They will not honor the drink specials and everything else like the other bars were either after finding out everyone was scammed. Horrible and traumatic experience. We lost $70 on those tickets.
For me, this is the best Mexican restaurant I've ever visited in Greensboro. The owners, management and staff members have treated me very friendly, special, with respect and care. I try to eat something different when I visit the restaurant. Food A+ and the Chef and cooks deserve recognition too. The flautas ahogadas are delicious; you can order the chicken wings fried or grilled, which are spectacular and tasty. I loved the ceviche, which they enjoyed with plantain chips. The beers are super cold and they have a variety of liquors. The treatment I have received is unique, that's why they've earned a loyal customer who hopes to see them more often. Thank you for your kind service.
The staff is kind and the atmosphere is nice. They need to go back to the drawing board with the cheese, it tastes like canned cheese mixed with sliced cheese. The “deserts” or lack there of were sad. BUT the staff are very kind and friendly!!! The drinks look great! I will go back for the drinks and to try their wings.
Relaxed choice at the DoubleTree Greensboro for burgers, steaks & other American fare, with a bar.
Sydney is an awesome bartender! Drinks were really good.
This is the cheese pizza. The vegetable wrap was awful. The waitress was nice, but the food was horrible.
Corrupt security. (I am black) and as I was entering with my friends going through security the bald one wouldn't let me in unless I took off my headscarf. I let him know it was for religious purposes (I was designated driver) and he still threatened to kick me out if I didn't remove it. He then openly didn't card one of my friends bc he thought she was cute. Super unprofessional, never going again.
Atmosphere is nice. Bartending is good. DJ sucks. The price for a tiny shot of tequila was $13. Yes I’m gonna leave a bad review bc it was hot that night, I was dehydrated, I asked for a water bottle and they told me it was going ti be $10 for a bottle of cheap brand water. No damn Fiji water ain’t even $10. With the crisis & All we are facing. I hope you’re not paying 10 buck for some water. Never coming back here again. My friends most certainly aren’t either.
Country-western club with live music, regular line-dancing lessons & a mechanical bull.
If you like country music, line dancing and meeting lots of people, this should be your Friday night go-to. Only a $5 cover charge to get in – and the drinks are pretty affordable. $3 for beer and bottled water, little more for cocktails depending on what you get. Line dancing lessons run from 7:30-8:30 p.m., which I highly suggest for all skill levels. Clay and Faye (I hope I spelled her name right) typically run these lessons – and they don't start songs until you're comfortable with the dances. DJ Snow and DJ Bobby Hash do a great job with mixing up tunes throughout the night. I hear mainly country until about 9:30 p.m., then other popular dance songs start getting mixed in. Pete's is a great place to go with your friends, but also as a solo dancer. Most people I encounter are friendly – and will even give you tips on how to improve your dancing skills.
Whoever yall hired for security with the shirt dreads stupid as hell. Actually screw that dude. Grabbed me by my shirt and threw me out for wearing sunglasses with no warning. He’s only mad because he got punched in the face but what would you do if you got snatched up in a room full of crowded people?
It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Not well ventilated it is hot bring a fan. The DJ was absolutely great. Nice establishment needs better ventilation. It was populated with a more of the mid 20 year olds. But there were early year 30 year olds there too
The owner is a black woman.. She was sweet she bought me a drink. She was Vibin. I would definitely.
This buzzy, bustling multilevel dance club features a lounge, bars & a rooftop with VIP cabanas.
Decent music and staff but security will steal anything you leave with them. $15 shots are a bit outrageous as well. But they’re trying and it provides good vibes.
It's pretty okay if your looking for a night out in Greensboro. The doormen/bouncers are all super kind along with the rest of the staff but the music tonight (6/25) was eh. It wasn't music you could dance to; it was just head bopping music with an occasional *** throwing song here or there (the hype man next to the DJ was amazing though). Ill be coming back for latin night for sure because I like going to clubs and dancing not standing around and smelling a mix of weed, vape, and spilled alcohol. On occasion they do offer free cover if you follow their eventbrite page and socials. Any other night I think is $10-$15 but personally, this isn't a club I'd pay to get in. I believe that theyre under new ownership which is made abundantly obvious by the amount of work thats been put in to the place. It is very easy to tell that the owner cares about the place and wants to make it the hot spot for all of downtown greensboro I will also say that I've been to limelight several times and NOT ONCE have i seen the bathrooms clean. The floors are always wet, the inside always stinks, etc. There should be someone there manning the restrooms at the very least Final side note: none of the bottle girls are black even though they play a lot of black music. Just an observation
