Catt was a wonderful guide! We had a great time and loved the freedom to go to the bars we wanted to and just drive around when we wanted to! The only qualm I have is the ticket price is a little high for no alcohol to be included. We also had some misinformation before arrival about bringing coolers and ice. We brought them and didn't need them. But, those are small issues. I'd recommend this activity.

We had a great time but feel stops should only be 15 min not 30. You waste an hour to go to 1-2 bars instead of riding. The best part was interacting with the public while riding.

Outstanding! Great for a pre-dinner drinks in downtown Wilmington. Delicious drinks, cool atmosphere and interesting bartenders. We had the Violet, you’re turning Violet and My Pleasure. Obviously a lot of thought went into picking the right ingredients to make the perfect drink. We also had fun figuring out the miniature figurines on the shelf and their connection to the bottles behind them. Highly recommend!

This place is soooo cool! Fun entrance, cocktails and outdoor area. Lots of seating available, cornhole, dj, live music and a drag show later. Only recommendation would be outdoor fans… it gets hot out there in the summer without it and it’s unbearable to be outside too long.

Logan Clouse52 months ago

You have to get food at the mess hall on the other side of the open grounds. Otherwise Rift is an amazing place! Dog friendly with a great atmosphere, a bunch of couches inside, card games plus pool. Outside has huge seating area, some shaded some not, with corn hole and usually there’s live music or events going on after 5! Fantastic place to just hang out and meet friendly people.

The Ivey is going to be my go-to bar for a good drink and good atmosphere after a long day. Christian and Michael were very friendly and accommodating. They were quick to ask my drink order on top of friendly conversation. During the week it’s a very chill atmosphere and on the weekends it’s the perfect bar for a night out! I’ve been here before and have been served by Hayden, Chase and Justin who gave me the same great service I experienced tonight. If you want a good chill full bar with delicious drinks and friendly staff I highly recommend The Ivey!

I typically gravitate towards open air spots to relax with drinks, but the atmosphere here was very comfortable. Loved the unique drinks and the bartender was great. South Front Tavern exceeded every expectation. The beautiful outdoor seating created a relaxed, chill vibe that set the perfect tone for the evening. It’s wonderfully baby-friendly and dog-friendly, which made the night even more enjoyable for our family. The food was absolutely outstanding—every bite full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The burger was simply insane, the gumbo had incredible depth, and the crab cakes were packed with lump crab meat and perfectly pan-seared. Each dish tasted like it was crafted with care and passion. The cocktails were equally impressive; my favorite was the Purple Haze—smooth, vibrant, and the ideal complement to the meal. From ambiance to service to the unforgettable food and drinks, this was truly a 5-star experience. Highly recommend South Front Tavern to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience!

Nik Kei54 months ago

Enjoyed the drinks and the server was great. She was passionate and gave us great recommendations. The Cajun shrimp dish was good. The sauce was flavorful but the shrimp tasted a bit overcooked and rubbery. Crab cakes were Maryland style so lots of lump crab meat and pretty good. Well prepared plate. Really enjoyed people watching outside on the front patio. Inside was tastefully decorated with many seating options.

Great addition to the cargo district. This bar is a high end bar with bourbon and wine. We tried out their new cocktail list and was very impressed. Price for an average cocktail is around $15 and worth it!! The outdoor seating is very relaxing, especially in the evening. They have a cargo upstairs you can cool off in as well. We are looking forward to coming back again soon to try new drinks.

Love this place. Spend a few hours with my partner relaxing while having a drink. We fell in love with the atmosphere. The bartender, Trent, was awesome and very attentive! We will be back when we are in town again!

AB Boulevard42 years ago

My brother and I visited Banter on one of my recent trips to Wilmington. It was early with only a few other patrons. The bartender was attentive and patient. The custom made beverage specials and specialties were interesting and delightful. What’s more, they’re beautifully presented. The historical plaque on the building helps patrons understand its significance. Quirky, small conversation groupings dot the different rooms. There is an outdoor courtyard which perhaps accommodates smokers, however we didn’t investigate that prospect. We did note that it might be difficult to navigate the courtyard’s uneven surface if one was physically unstable due physical or chemical influences. ;-) The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was that the drink prices may be off-putting to those on a budget. All in all, a nice vibe for an early evening meet-up.

Went there on a night out and off the bat the vibes from the short, petite blonde haired bartender were terrible! She was rude and very unpleasant from the beginning. She made us one drink a piece and before we could even finish them she throws her hands in the air and yells “are u gonna tip me” in front of a whole crowd; Like she was obligated a tip. On top of that she doesn’t know her drinks, she made me an amaretto sour & it was AWFUL. Literally only put caption and sour mix, then Before even allowing us to finish & wait until we were done she wanted to assume we weren’t gonna tip her and made a scene. So we didn’t even finish our drinks and walked out. I will NEVER return to such a poorly mannered bar again & I definitely will let everyone I know not to come here. Especially when I had friends come from out of town just to experience her ill manners. Do better & act better and maybe you’d be tipped! She truly shouldn’t be working in customer service when she has NONE!

Excellent Sours, no lactose which I cannot do! I like them sour and funky but not hoppy or sweet. I first enjoyed in Asheville. Enjoying Sour Blonde Ale. Partner loving the anniversary IPA - Bobbo’s Ringmaster 12 year Anniversary. Great pizza place on the same property that make fire roasted 16” pizza’s or personal 10” size.

I am so glad I chose Front Street Brewery for our lunch after the Cape Fear River boat ride. We came at 1pm, the peak hour for restaurant, it was full but yet we had our table immediately. We loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, it seemed that it had renovated from an old building. Our server Cameron was super helpful, super attentive, and always with a smile. My husband had a sandwich with a dark beer which he really liked and I had the fish and chips. Bathroom was also nicely decorated and very clean even with the amount of clientele they have during the lunch time. Highly recommend when you come to visit Wilmington.

A nice little spot for craft beer and good food. I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was excellent. Came with house made chips, which I'm a sucker for. They were delicious. To my surprise, not just a brewery, they have hundreds of bottles of whiskey at the bar. This is definitely a place to try a bourbon you have never had to taste test. So much, that I went there twice in one week. The bartender understands her whiskeys. Ask for a recommendation!

I am leaving the Food rating blank because we limited our visit to cocktails only (i honestly don’t even know if they offer food). Very nice location right on the waterfront in the downtown area. Great place to sip your favorite libations while you watch the sunset or just watch folks pass by on the riverwalk. There is a covered patio to keep the mid-day rays at bay while you slip away. Comfy soft searing eagerly awaits. Full bar. Lots of beer and wine selections and coffee too—there is something here for everyone. The bar tender was very friendly and the owner was a personable and likable gentleman who loves his little doggies. You should stop in for a visit. Have a drink and strike up a conversation. Ahoy Captain!

I've been to this location twice and I've enjoyed myself. They have both an indoor and outdoor seating area so if you're looking to cool down you have a place to be but can also sit and watch boats on the water. The cocktails were really nice and the service was pretty good but not a place I'd sit and chat with the bartenders as a regular.

Went here a little while ago. They do have some good bar food. They have a decent espresso martini. For the meal I got the Cheese Steak Spring Rolls, you get 6 of them, which had a nice crunch to it and the steak was cooked nicely. I then got for my main meal the 109 Chestnut Chicken Sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was really filling and a good flavor. I would recommend this place to anyone on a stroll in the downtown area.

Holy Moly!!! This local gem is unassuming from the outside, but is an amazing spot for a meal! Every single thing we had was delicious, the onion rings were the best we've ever had, the entire meal at the top of our favorite spots. We all left with full and happy bellies! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The owner stopped by to check in as well and chatted for a few minutes, making us feel welcome and like family. It’s the kind of place you can easily lose track of time in because the atmosphere is just that good.

Dick and Dive has consistently remained my favorite spot downtown to relax and grab a couple of drinks. The atmosphere and culture here is inviting and laid back. A lot of guys like to play Chess here and they keep a few boards for people to play on. There's also darts and a couple of pool tables in the back, as well as an outdoor back porch (if you need to vape or smoke) and daily drink specials. There's almost always someone friendly here to chat with, and the bartenders are attentive. You can't go wrong with this place.

Fox’s has a small menu, and they absolutely delivered! I ordered the half pound roast beef sandwich ($14) with cheese sauce ($1.50), and it was ridiculously delicious, especially for the price. The meat was perfectly medium, very thinly sliced, and with a lot of salt and pepper. The meat did not melt down the bun from the juice which I really appreciated. The bun was perfection for the sandwich. The cheese sauce tempered the salinity of the beef with an amazing creaminess for a perfect match, and the dill pickles were great. It was one of the best roast beef sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. The bartender/hostess/waitress was fantastic. She frequently looked at our table, and chose to visit when it looked like we might want something. She had great intuition, and had obviously been in customer service for a while. The atmosphere is an old hole in the wall bar with a good selection of drinks and outdoor seating is available. Fox’s is an incredible value while dining out prices are going through the roof. They’ve earned my patronage, and I’ll go back to try some of their other dishes.

A small restaurant with a nice-looking bar and another 5–6 tables. We visited on Saturday around 2 pm and it was more than half full. There seemed to be one man managing the bar and serving food, so there might be a wait if you go during peak meal hours. I am a former long time food service professional. I love the dirty dark hole in the wall bars that food service employees love to frequent. This is not one of those. This place is a second home. This is my “cheers” bar. Everybody knows my name and my ever changing drink order. The long time staff is family not friends. They take the time to get to know you for you not just for your tips. This place is full of playful energy and laughs. Pool and games galore. League nights, trivia, music bingo and karaoke. Something for everyone. Tired of the dirty bars and looking for a home bar, look no further.

This place is freakin’ exceptional! I think the food is worth the price. Fresh fries, hot chicken, and possibly the most delicious burger I have ever eaten! I’m not typically a fan of large meat patties that have some red in them, but for some reason I just couldn’t get enough of this burger. It was so flavorful and delicious that I just might have to try it with the chili next time, and I am not a chili fan! This little business should be proud of themselves. I have scavenged reddit for an available vintage photobooth for my partner and I and there are only a handful left in North Carolina. Rally Point Barcade has it. The day we went, there was an event scheduled in 20 mins and the bartender was very kind enough to allow us to still use the booth after he knew that’s what we initially drove there for. Payment: they take cards/cash/apple pay. Photobooth costs $5/session for 2 strips (4 shots). The gaming area has an ample number of machines for a good gaming experience with your friends and the bar is very neat and clean. Parking is easy, there’s a paid parking garage right next to the building. Restroom is well maintained and very clean. Highly recommend!

Wow. I am speechless! My family came here for the first time while on vacation from Greensboro, and there really are no words for how incredible this place is, truly. We came on a Monday night, unexpectedly, Mexican night!! Apparently they have a different ethnic dinner every Monday after 6! The food is amazing, the beer is so good, this place leaves you wanting to come back every day. The atmosphere is incredible, the energy in this place is great. They have a section with board games, books, comic books, even chalk. There is even a dog park and what appears to be a stage outside. Two bars, one inside, one out. The staff is so friendly, we've talked about possibly moving back down here, this particular place may push that decision over the edge, we want more!! Our son, one of the pickiest eaters I know, loves the food as well...to say I was shocked would be an understatement!! Edit: I almost forgot to mention the chef herself! Super friendly and welcoming, the food is next level, and her style is on point!! Her bohemian inspired clothing style is beautiful, and honestly, it adds to the incredible energy of this place! That may sound silly, but just like the incredible chef, there is nothing that I have found about this restaurant that I would call ordinary. I was humbled by the hospitality, especially being uninformed of their serving process on Mondays, the warm welcome and the homey feel that the restaurant has. I feel like if you aren't having fun and enjoying yourself here, you're doing something wrong. It's too positive of an environment for friends or family for me to say anything else other than that I absolutely LOVE this place!!

What a great little place to laugh and have a good time. The bartender Kelcey (sorry if I butchered the spelling) was super amazing and helpful. So friendly and chatty. Drinks were amazing. A live band was setting up just as we were leaving. Too bad we couldn’t stay a little longer. The owner is super friendly and always looks like he’s having a good time. You can definitely tell his heart is in the distillery and has such a love for people and great drinks. We will definitely be back 🥰

As someone who has savored hundreds of Shirley Temples over the years, I’ve developed a refined palate when it comes to this iconic mocktail. There are many variations, from the overly syrupy to the disappointingly flat, but few have managed to capture the perfect balance between nostalgia and sophistication like The Distillery does. First off, let’s talk about Alex, the bartender. There’s a certain finesse in her approach to mixing drinks, even the non-alcoholic ones. A Shirley Temple in her hands is a work of art. It’s more than just grenadine and sprite poured into a glass; it’s a symphony of flavors. The base is where Alex truly shines. Unlike the overly sugary concoctions that are common in most bars, her Shirley Temple features a perfectly measured splash of premium grenadine. It’s rich, not cloying, with a depth of cherry sweetness that makes you stop and appreciate the complexity. And, as a true connoisseur knows, the presentation matters. Alex takes care to serve the Shirley Temple in a tall, chilled glass that lets you appreciate the vibrant, ruby red hue of the drink. The glass is always perfectly frosted on the outside, giving it a sleek, cool appearance that immediately signals to you that this is no ordinary mocktail. In the world of Shirley Temples, The Distillery has created an unassailable standard. This is a Shirley Temple that respects the classics while embracing modern craftsmanship. Alex isn’t just mixing a drink; she’s crafting an experience. Highly recommended.

After a pretty crappy day of work I stopped by Coat of Arms for a few drinks and a hopeful day turnaround. Walking in, right away I was greeted by a smiling attentive face named Laina. Usually I get the common, “Do you know what you’re having?”, which is fine. This place is ok. I enjoyed it more back in the day when they always had tacos and did karaoke with the computer. Went for the first time in ages yesterday evening, unfortunately the place ain't what it used to be. You'd think on a holiday night they'd have tacos available. I hate to remove stars for a lack of tacos, but considering that used to be something they always had and now they weren't available the night I went, it just isn't the same. Now the staff there is really cool, and there's good people. Most will probably enjoy this place and I'd even recommend it. But, they fall short of the standard they established previously. So I'm not really interested in going anymore.

This is a cool place with a lot of potential! My family and I have popped in for a late lunch. Tried to order them from the brunch menu, but a lot of items were sold out which is a good sign! That tells me that they typically make fresh and seasonal items. My wife ordered the hot mess burger. I ordered the music city chicken sandwich. And my kids share chicken tenders and fries. We also had duck wings as an appetizer! So I wasn’t wild about the duck wings, but I’m not holding that against them. It was my first time ever having them so I don’t really have anything to judge them with. Onion rings, french fries, and macaroni and cheese for our sides all phenomenal mac & cheese was probably a 10 out of 10! Portions generally are huge and generous! What I wasn’t wild about it was the service it’s a small place and we just felt very unattended. Had to wait for refills. Also seen waitresses on their phone the entire time. I would definitely come back and update this review after I have brunch!

I wish I had never given a dime to this establishment. They’re more dirty than an alley in Central New York, hire ruder staff than Jersey Shores, and expect locals to love them. You can find better bars around the area that respect their locals for cheaper. I wouldn’t even recommend my worst enemy to this bar. Terrible experience, terrible.drinks, and terrible atmosphere.

What a fun experience this is! The atmosphere and building itself is a treat in itself. Thursday nights they have live jazz, bands play, and they are wonderful. People will even get up and dance, swing, waltz, etc. been here for date nights, with groups of friends and girls night out. They have a good selection of drinks and service. The place is clean and overall enjoyable to sit and visit in.

We tried this restaurant for the first time. Food was great! Service was decent. When we’re back in town we will definitely be coming back. Jumbo wings were awesome and flavorful. Freaky creek was delicious if you like pork belly. The Nashville was good and very filling. Side salads are good proportions. All in all very satisfied.

After my wife’s checkup at EmergOrtho we tried out a new lunch place. Very busy just after we sat down and definitely a local’s place seeing several people greeted by first name. The food was great and this was half price burger day so Deb got hers with her favorite onion rings and I got Patty Melt with home made chips! Very delicious and probably on our list to stop in again in future! Kelly our server was great and helped us decide since this was the first time here! Definitely will be back!

The food was fantastic! Our server had a great attitude & attention to detail. She was a pleasure & easily earned a 25% tip. My only negative was seating my teenage daughter & myself next to the busy bathrooms & exit to the outdoor bar where we had to smell cigarettes every time the door opened. Next time we eat there I will ask to sit in a different area.

Stopped in here for a drink, and certainly received some looks as unfamiliar faces. There were plenty of people at the bar and playing pool. Waited a few minutes with no one behind the bar. A bartender came out, waited on a few people before acknowledging us, said she’d be right with us. She then took care of some more (what seems to be) regulars. Approached us and said, “Sorry guys, I’m working.” At that point we left; it was clear and deliberate that we weren’t to feel welcome. I suppose if you’re a regular, it’s a great place. If you’re not, I’d suggest passing this place by.

Happened upon this place while looking for a Golden Corral. Everything was amazing! The spinach dip and wings were our favorites. Even the kids ate all their food. had one of the worst bar experiences here. There was throw-up on the actual bar, and I accidentally got it on my shirt. When I asked a bartender (a woman) for water to clean myself up, she dismissed me with, “I’m helping someone else—there’s water over there.” I explained I had vomit on me, and she just asked, “You good?!” When I asked again, she was rude and unhelpful—meanwhile openly flirting with guys at the bar. Another bartender, thankfully, stepped in and gave me water right away without any issue. Then she came back and said, “If you’d asked me nicely, I would’ve helped.” At that point, I called out her unprofessional behavior—and she had a bouncer remove me from the bar for being “rude.” I was the one covered in someone else’s vomit. Completely unacceptable. Do better.

Came here for the first time on our anniversary and then brought a group of friends to celebrate a friend‘s birthday. Great for both celebrations! It’s got the best view and always has great music whether it’s live music or canned. The food is some of our favorite. They have gluten-free options for those that need them. The place is clean and the vibe is super fun but also relaxed. Only downside, some of the patio tiles in the floor are loose and just about gave me a heart attack when they drastically shifted considering you’re standing on the ceiling of the building. The gas fire pits are always so pretty and watching the sunset from here is breathtaking! We will definitely be back!

Great roof top bar but the service was the worst!!! It on the top of the embassy suites. If you park in the garage you have to get to the ground floor of the hotel and take the elevator to the right in the elevator bank. There’s like 5 elevators and they all go to very specific places. It’s quite confusing. The view is perfect with 360 views and the perfect place to be for a sunset. Great seating options with tables for small or large groups. Our server Lindsey was the WORST! She forgot our drink order and came back and asked what we wanted again. No big deal. Then We added food. His food came out. Mine never ever came out even though she came back and asked me if I wanted to add pepperoni. I never saw my food. So he ate and I had nothing. A good server checks. She never came back. It was a Monday night so not terribly busy. No excuse. I finally just went to the bar and closed my tab out. If you can’t remember orders maybe get a note pad. If you aren’t a people person then don’t be a server. Having a bad day? No worries. Everyone has an off night but when no explanation is given that is very poor service. Lots of potential to be a great place but service killed it. Didn’t go back even though I stayed here for 4 days.

When we got in the elevator and it stunk, we were a little questionable on the ride up. Once off the elevator, you go around and up a few ledges. We saw they had about 4-5 bouncers standing around. Once out on the rooftop, it was completely dead at almost 10 pm. at night on a Satuday. They had some music playing with a small light show. Just didn't have a good vibe. Markets, as the best view in town, we had just come from Cloud 9, so the view didn't even compare. Maybe they meant on their block, it's the best view. While taking pictures, I was leaving, and a bouncer started questioning what I was doing. Wasn't the best of tone in his voice and was a bit rude about it. We didn't hang long, just didn't enjoy it.

We were met immediately upon coming into the restaurant and told we could seat ourselves. The waitress arrived at the table shortly after we sat down. We ordered drinks and appetizers which arrived quickly to our table hot and flavorful. We ordered a large meat lovers pizza, it arrived at the table with plenty of toppings and yes it was huge, enough for additional meals. The pizza is as good as any that I have had from other pizza only places. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs.

4/28/25 @1:00pm This was quite possibly the worst establishment I've ever encountered. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. We weren't greeted by anyone, and the unpleasant smell of vomit hit us as soon as we entered. After slowly making our way to the bar where we were two of five people in the entire Resturant” loose term”. We had the pleasure of interacting with the Bartender…. The bartender, who seemed more interested in exchanging pills with a friend than serving customers, completely ignored us for an uncomfortably long time. It was shocking to witness her announce that she couldn't pass a drug test while neglecting her duties. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the phone rang, and she answered it without acknowledging us. She then casually dropped two coasters in front of us and returned to her conversation, leaving us feeling invisible. The overall ambiance was obnoxiously dirty, and it was evident that the bartender had no grasp of proper service. To top it all off, the owner lurked around awkwardly, adding to the uncomfortable atmosphere. If you're looking for a place that embodies poor management and subpar service, this bar is an investor's dream!

The general Manager Melissa is super nice, professional and helpful. I don’t really go out at all because I don’t like being around too many people. Melissa offered us a VIP table. The VIP section is very comfortable and spacious. The drinks were delicious especially their famous FishBowls. Their lemon drop Shots is what brought me back to Coglins. The Music is all 80s 90s which I love. All the employees are very welcoming, the bathrooms are very clean. I love how they have different events it brings me out of my shell and I’m being more comfortable going out and dancing. I give this nightclub 5 ⭐️ and I’ll definitely recommend this to anyone celebrating any kind of event.

Absolutely Disgraceful — Especially on Pride Night I don’t even know where to begin with how appalling our experience was at this bar. We came out expecting to celebrate Pride, to feel welcomed, affirmed, and part of a community. Instead, what we got was blatant profiling and power-tripping doormen. Before we even stepped foot inside, my friend — was profiled by the doormen for being “too hot.” Claiming he was too drunk to enter ( we has just come from dinner and didn’t even start drinking lol) They then forced him to perform a sobriety test right there on the sidewalk, treating him like a criminal for literally standing in line. Later, when he took a short break from dancing — not bothering anyone, just sitting — they kicked him out without cause. No discussion. No explanation. Just thrown out, wouldn’t let him pay his tab, and would not let go of him when he politely told them the physical touch was not necessary. The irony of this happening on Pride Night is nauseating. A night that's meant to uplift and include turned into one of the most humiliating and alienating experiences we've had at a venue that claims to be LGBTQ+ friendly. That’s not just bad business — it’s a disgrace. We will never spend another dime here, and I encourage others to think twice before supporting a place that clearly has no idea what community or customer service actually means. Do better.
