A Hidden Gem at The National I had the pleasure of visiting the speakeasy tucked away inside The National, and it was an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere effortlessly blends luxury with a modern, sleek design—making it the perfect setting for a memorable night out. The staff were absolutely delightful, adding a personal touch to the evening with their friendly and engaging demeanor. As for the drinks, they were nothing short of spectacular. Crafted with precision and served with flair, each cocktail felt like a work of art. The vibe was relaxed yet sophisticated, offering the ideal balance of intimacy and class. If you're looking to truly impress a date or simply indulge in an exceptional night, this speakeasy is a must-visit. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a top-tier experience.
Fantastic experience all-around, very cool ambiance as it is literally hosted in the old bank's vault! Food is very expensive and flavorful, the drinks are somewhat reasonable but still $15+ per cocktail. Highly recommend the charcuterie board. Great to experience at least once - definitely come by if you're in the area! Staff are also lovely.
I love the atmosphere here! Music was great. Plenty of comfy places to sit and relax. It’s a neat experience in terms of the history and I love how they were able to keep some original elements such as the vault door and a portion of the sage deposit boxes. Super cute decor for Christmas! The servers were kind, they were just a little over worked. I think there may have only been 2 of them for the entire bar. Lastly… our drinks were great! However I thought the Holiday menu was very strange.. squid ink, lots of eggs, shrub, etc. I’d definitely return! So fun!
Really a cool location, walk down a long set of stairs to arrive at a vault door. As you walk in you do realize you’re in a vault. They had a DJ and it was so loud we couldn’t even talk. We all order bourbons smoked, they do a pretty cool job presenting them under a glass chamber. Very pricey but a cool experience. Wouldn’t be my go to
The place is obviously stunning, the cocktails are beautifully made. We were 7 people and sat in the lounge area to the right of the bar. Service wasn’t good. I went to the bar, and the bartender told me a waiter would come to my table, the waiter came after a while and warned he was busy and to go and make the orders at the bar, yikes! It was a struggle to get water. They were understaffed. The music is meh. Depending on the day you go It’s hit and miss depending on the DJ’s mood, or something. Their DJ is a dude that pretend plays guitar on top of well known tracks. He played one dance Latin music song and after one song said to us: Don’t be afraid of white girl music 😳. Make what you want of that. Rather insensitive.
