Family-friendly chain outpost pairs familiar pub fare with an extensive list of house brews.
The food was good some of our party got the 13.99 special that came with dessert it was a cookie with ice cream that came out warm and was really good. The portion size on these were small (lunch size) a little disappointed. We also ordered the full size entrees they were good with a better portion size. The waiter was great! Price was slightly high to average. Staff is attentive the manager was checking on tables. Overall a good experience.
While working in Allentown, PA this week, my coworkers and I returned to one of our favorite spots we always make a point to visit when we're in town. As usual, the restaurant was busy, but the hostesses were friendly and seated us right away, which was a nice start to the evening. The menu here is huge - honestly, you could probably come every day for a month and still have new dishes to try. The drink menu is just as impressive, with a great selection of options, including beers they brew in-house. The space has a lively atmosphere with a bar area, high-top seating, and regular tables, so there's something for everyone depending on the vibe you're looking for. Our server was fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and quick to help with anything we needed or had questions about. I decided on the slow-roasted wings with their newly featured honey hot sauce, along with a side of fries. The wings were top-tier - flavorful, tender, and cooked perfectly. The honey hot sauce added a great balance of sweet and heat. Unfortunately, the fries were cold by the time they reached the table. I didn't mention it to the staff since I figured it might have been due to how busy the restaurant was tonight. That's really the only reason for the 4-star rating instead of 5. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town -- there are plenty of sandwiches, tacos, and other options I can't wait to try!
Easy to find and plenty of parking. I ordered the strawberry chicken salad. The greens were fresh and the chicken was juicy. The strawberries, oranges and blue cheese were really enjoyable. I liked the prickly pear hard cider. An enjoyable lunch.
We went Friday night at busy time. It was very full, but were seated upon entry. We had ordered a Margarita Flight and was told they were unavailable. It was kind of disappointing since you could order a full-size drink of the same kind of drink. I ordered a Spicy Mango Margarita, and my wife ordered a Strawberry Margarita. We both agreed the spicy mango was delicious, and both ordered a second. First, we got salads, Mozzarella Tomato, and a wedge salad. The arugula on the Mozzarella tomato salad was very wilted with no body, yet the overall salad flavor was good. Next, we got a tray of loaded nachos to share. The number of chips was abundant to the amount of toppings. For being loaded nachos, we would've wanted more toppings and fewer chips. Our entree that we shared was the Jambalaya. This has been one of my favorites at the restaurant. Not ordering it for a while, I noticed the rice had changed. Not that the rice was bad, but the ratio to Jambalaya was a bit much. There was probably twice as much rice to Jambalaya. It used to be the other way around. I feel the overall food was a step down than prior visits. Between the wilted Arugala, the lack of toppings on the nachos, and the excess rice to Jambalaya. The food was good along with the service, just not earning the 5 stars this time.
Extremely disappointed with the food at this restaurant. We were so excited to celebrate our kids finishing the school year with excellent grades, and chose BJs because of their pizza special night. The Deep dish pizza ( nothing like a deep dish pizza by the way) was so dry, with so little sauce and had no flavor! The only good thing was my son’s steak. Waiter did not even mention the half off was ONLY on Larger pizza. We overpaid, which shouldn’t have been the case had she taken the time to explain! Never again are we returning!
