Vine Bar 5.0 (40)

Wonderful wine bar serving unique Italian wines from small batch wineries. Very pleasant atmosphere; complimentary olives and chips (maybe replace with crackers?); great choice of charcuterie. Only downside was additional fee for card payments, which was not expressly stated anywhere.

What a great find! This quaint little shop on Prince St. had Nebbiolo, which can be hard to find! Bailey, the head Sommelier knew what I wanted, directed me to what I wanted, and didn’t try to change my mind! Friendly and educated on Italy and its wines. Worth the walk and looking forward to tasting the wines this evening. I highly recommend this shop off the beaten path.

Celebrated Independence Day Japanese style…visited for a cocktail and some snacks and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Great music provided by an on-site DJ setting an awesome chill vibe with some upbeat beats! Cocktails & food menus are creative and of course Japanese inspired. Special menu for the 4th feature some super good wings, Japanese Hotdog, nice salad and a delicious small potato app! Kirin drafts were crisp and cold and the cocktail spritz was super tasty. Prices are just slightly above average but well worth the atmosphere and tasty bites.

The food is tasty in this cute pub. Good burger and salads. I had a very interesting and tasty sweet corn ice cream - yum. The vibe is lively and cozy. The service is mixed, but that could be down to a busy night. Would recommend for a night out in Lancaster.

Excellent food. Live music was also excellent. Three of us had a drink at the bar and then moved to a table for dinner. We shared the loaded French fry appetizer as we had been traveling and wanted something quick. They were good. I had their delicious version of a BLT with fried green tomatoes, mozzarella and local bacon.

This hidden gem was a winner. From our bartender (Dan) to our amazing server (Emily), my first time at Burley will be remembered. The knowledge they shared about the drinks and history of the establishment made our experience that much more fun. I highly recommend you stop in. You will be glad you did.

The food was absolutely delicious. The server who took care of me was very attentive to my needs. Her name was Julia. I ordered the pork brisket BBQ nachos while watching on my classic american burger with waffle fries, and I decided to try a Lummox hard cider. It was wonderful. It is a great gastropub to go in a secluded alleyway. It was worth the find and the atmosphere was amazing!

My husband and I came across this bar. What a genuine surprise and delight! We sat at the bar, server was great answered all my questions and made suggestions. Their music selection was amazing every song was perfect. I absolutely love gnomes- I should say I have an obsession with gnomes. There were a few scattered throughout the bar, I struck up a conversation with was the owner. Such a nice and friendly person. I offered to buy a glass with a gnome on it and he accepted but then gave me a little gnome chalkboard. This little gesture made my night and brought tears to my eyes. I can’t say enough about this bar and the owner. If you are in the area do yourself a favor and stop in!!!

We had an amazing time here. I had the red curry Moules Frites and it was fantastic. The curry was so good, I wish I had realized sooner that the fries were perfect for sopping up the curry. Once you finish up the clams and take out the steps just dump those fries in! Great selection of beers, most I had never tried before. I decided on starting with a Saison intending to try different beer but had a second Saison it was that good. Staff was incredibly friendly! Even got to speak to the owner, Bert. I didn't bring up the elephant.

First time here. Heard this place has a great reviews so we give a shot. Love the ambience of two stories restaurant reminds me when you’re going to mirror mazes at the amusement park lol. Foods are okay different style, decent portions and too pricey. Outstanding service. Drinks were excellent either cocktail and mocktail. Love the God’s country so definitely will be try something else in the area.

This was our first time here! We were happy to be able to get a 4:45 reservation on a Saturday the day before. Our upstairs server (Elizabeth, I think?) was friendly, kind and witty. Luckily we came during restaurant week, which was not planned, and they had a lovely special going on, which I took advantage of. I was able to get an appetizer, meal and dessert for $65, which was a phenomenal price! The only item I didnt care for was the lobster bisque. Everything else was absolutely delicious, not that the bisque was terrible. We will definitely be back again.

This is the bar in the middle of Southern Market in Lancaster. The bartenders here are quick and good. They really know how to mix a drink. The selection of beers are limited, all craft, all I had were very good. The garnishes on the drinks were fresh. This was a pretty busy place for 8pm on a Wednesday night. Very enjoyable experience.

I love British-themed pubs, this one is great. Don't let the outside fool you it's inviting and friendly inside. Nice menu, beer & whiskey selection. Banger & mash were great! I'd get off Route 30 just to come here!

Really cool place. Food was really great…. Service was not so good. We had to go to bar and order a 2nd beer… because there was absolutely no follow up by our servers. We received no follow up with empty beer glasses for over 15 minutes. See picture of loss revenue… empty beer glasses before meal is finished…. So we only ordered two drinks. Waited forever for more ketchup and tartar sauce… This math has you letting business walk out of your restaurant. When I mentioned to the server/manager he said “you could have let us know”…. We would have ordered several more bar drinks and the ticket would have been higher with an even better tip. We may try again another night.

Busy place. Great for Gen X - kids. Lots of 1980's video games, bowling lanes, restaurant & ice cream bar all tucked away in an old schoolhouse. Seems to draw a crowd. Ice cream flavors were excellent. Great atmosphere. Inside and outside seating areas and lounging as well.

Fun family establishment. Food was good. The mozzarella appetizer was Amazing! The basket with pretzels, onion rings and curly fries was huge. Pretzels were more like toasted bread texture. Not bad-but definitely not a true pretzel. Great fun for all ages. Bowling was great. The retro video games were super fun. $5/20coins you typically only need 1-2 coins per game/machine. The bar had great cocktails. Service was slow-given we visited mid week and the place wasn’t not busy. Staff was friendly. Bathrooms were very clean. **after 8:30pm-minors are not allowed in the building** plan your visit accordingly

My husband has been here a few times with his friends and always tells me the bar food is a step ahead of other bar food and I would agree. The chicken tenders were extremely fresh and the fries had good flavor but were a bit soggy (we got takeout so that doesn’t help). The cheesesteak was different but good, nothing I would rave over but I wasn’t upset with it. The garlic parm fries were good but also didn’t blow me away. I will say that the portion sizes were very generous. Overall, I’d order takeout again from 551 but it wouldn’t be my first choice of takeout (but that’s likely because it’s bar food).

Wings are fabulous!!!! Perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside juicy on the inside, had them mix the cajun with the medium hot sauce as suggested by another reviewer and it was delicious!! Wife had the house salad which looked really tasty. Presentation on the salad was gorgeous. Hillary the bartender was attentive and cheerful!! Definitely worth going back for their much talked about cheesesteak!!!

I used to go here all the time, but hadn’t returned until recently. We’ve now gone 3 times in the last month or so, and the food and service have been awesome. This is a solid choice for sports bar and grill food in Lancaster. Their cheese fries are huge. Definitely get the half order and not the full order unless you are able to eat what seems like 3 lbs of cheese fries!

So glad we chose P.J. Whelihan's! Audrey, who is returning to Virginia Tech soon, (in pictures) was our waitress. We are sure she will be missed! She took excellent care of us, even though we were the only patrons sitting on the patio on an 80 degree afternoon, but we're from Florida. 🤣 "We" includes our dog, Bernie. "We" choose dog friendly businesses to patronize when "we" travel, and P.J's looked like a good deal, especially since they welcome Bernie. It helped that they had half priced wings and cheese steak egg rolls. Bernie couldn't finish all of his sweet potato fries as he filled up on the burger. We were glad to help him as they were amazing with the horseradish sauce! Blessings for the new school year, and all that lies ahead for Audrey and P.J's Thanks for a nice evening!🌅

Went to the first night of the soft opening. The interior will seem familiar as there weren't a ton of changes to it at this point (fresh paint, new lights, and the taps/register moved). They do have some food options already and seem like they're working on finalizing them. They kept the TV's and plan on showing games. They offer a great selection of beer, have some canned options for non beer drinkers (I spotted some stateside vodka seltzers.) and they mention getting cider soon too! Their glassware is really nice. As of now the shuffleboard is still there so go play!

I love Shot and Bottle! This has become a regular spot for my friends and I to come for drinks or a bite to eat. Shot and Bottle is easily one of my favorite places for a unique cocktail. I highly recommend the Pickle Rick, and the espresso martini is one of the best in the city. The staff is extremely friendly (shoutout to you, Sage!), which makes the experience even better.

We were in the area as tourists. While walking around we saw this place and stopped in looking for a small lunch before getting back to traveling. Food, service and drinks were all fantastic. My wife and I shared a Cuban flat bread. We say it was the best Flatbread we have eaten at any restaurant. We will definitely stop there again if going through that area in the future.

3 of us went to dinner, wanting to try something new. I got the reuben which wasn't anything to write home about and quite dry. A friend got the braised short rib and was disappointed in how much fat came with it. The cheesesteak egg rolls were phenomenal and melted in your mouth, highly recommend. The fries/chips are pretty awesome, worth the try. The cocktails were 50/50. Original, bold flavors, but a little strong. One had something to do with absinthe which was a bit much for our table and the other was a customized lemon drop drink which was delicious so maybe one just wasn't for us. The service was incredible as was the restaurant decor. I'd definitely try again just with other items on the menu that I was tossing back and forth on when ordering. I'd recommend just for the service and atmosphere - they're worth the business. The food I haven't given up on - maybe just a bad day so total 4 stars.

+++: Bavarian soft pretzel (as big as a dinner plate and very thick, also soft and a little sweet, very good, the best in the area!), Cheesesteak flatbread (very tasty), wings (more than two dozens flavors, wings not dry and tasty, very good) -: Unappealing outside appearance, typical tavern style inside decoration. Not many cars in the parking lot. Not many people inside either. ---: Soft pretzel should come with beer cheese, but they charged $2, also charged sauces for the wings - $0.50/each, and $1 for celery. Lowered from 5 star to 4 star for this reason.

This place has the perfect name!!! Not that it’s a “dirty ole tavern” literally. But it gives you that traditional dive bar where everyone knows everyone and it’s a locals only type crowd. The kitchen is excellent and the fryers are well maintained with clean and filtered oils regularly. Prices are reasonable and the vibe is chill. They also have lots of sauces to choose from for your wings while you have an ice cold beer and watch the Eagles on a Sunday afternoon. Don’t take my word for it. Give them a try for yourself

They have been in business for 48 years. 1990 I visited this wonderful place and ordered a tenderloin tip sandwich. I came back 15 years ago in 2010 with my son and my grandson sat down at the table and I ordered the tenderloin tip sandwich and it was still the same. Awesome! Best tenderloin sandwich I've had. A few more years of past between and here I am tonight with my son, ordered the same tenderloin tip sandwich, chalked it up to some wings and some french fries. I will not wait a few more years. I'll be back here more frequently. Maybe once twice a month for sure.

I got a stromboli. The bottom was severely burned, over half of the tomatoes tasted rotten, and the meat didn’t taste right. It had a Tons of onions (i think it was to cover up for the bad meat, and tomatoes taste). I was very hungry, so I did eat some of it. I should have thrown it out. Once I removed the onions that was masking the bad taste, I realized how bad it was. I then realized that it might be bad enough to give me food poisoning. I stopped eating it as soon as I realized how bad. I’m hoping I don’t wind up getting food poisoning.

The draft beer are all overpriced, especially for a brewhouse. The famous Pizookie is very tasty, but way too sweet! The calamari taste okay, but the portion was too small, not a good value. The Slow-Roasted Sirloin was the most disappointing one. Requested rare but was told the kitchen can do medium rare at most. The actual sirloin was "medium done". Overcooked and hard. Not good taste either. Barely edible. Definitely NOT worth the money. Won't order this again.

My husband and I are in town for the weekend. I searched for something close to where we're staying that had a nice salad. The Cobb salad did not disappoint! It was perfect! The shrimp and chicken was seasoned just enough to add a little spice but not over the top. The greens were the perfect blend of spring greens and iceberg to add that crunch. So good!! The restaurant is great with TVs everywhere for the sports lovers. Our server, Hope, was super! We're here for 2 more days and plan to return to try something different.

I ordered the cheese steak bomb, wound up getting a side of fries that were only a little bit, and the sandwich had no cheese and salt was overbearing. I planned a pre-Valentines day dinner for my wife and I. We were planning to go to try their amazing looking pizzas, but we're disappointed to find out that pizza was not on the menu for Valentines day weekend. However, this ended up being a blessing, as we noticed some other great looking food on the menu! We had the Buffalo chicken egg rolls, the butternut squash bisque, my wife had the scallops and I had the duck breast. All was great! The service was attentive! We needed something and the lady at the hostess stand noticed and came to help us. The scallops were a generous portion for the price and the risotto was really God that came with it. Risotto can be disappointing most of the time, but this was delicious! The duck breast was cooked to perfection! We will be back and highly recommend!

We stopped in for drinks during the soft opening. The bar tenders are very knowledgeable and give great drink recommendations! We didn't try the food this time but we plan on going back soon since they expected food/drink menu changes. Update: Food is great and fresh! I've had pizzas, crabcake sandwich, and lobster roll. Trust me, the lobster roll is worth it! Also, many of the bartenders are great mixologist. They can make just about anything. I gave them flavor profiles and examples of drinks I usually get to which they made me surprise cocktails (the smaller glass cocktails in my pictures).

Overpriced and poorly managed. We came in on a Monday afternoon with a group of 12 and were crammed between two other large parties, even though there were plenty of empty lanes. I’m not a frequent reviewer. But when I have dog trash service I feel as if it’s warranted. I apologize for the language I’ve started off with, however upon arriving to The Village, busy Friday night as to be expected. The cover was $20 which was quite frankly the steepest price I’ve ever paid for entry even on holidays. I ended up waiting 49 min to be serviced at the bar only to have the clearly over stressed, maybe new? bartenders try to service me and forgot my and my friends drink in the 4 we requested. After the third time of asking for a drink, my bartender demanded money, and rushed me saying “come on guys I have a full bar to serve” and proceeded to say “I have people waiting”. Clearly this individual was stressed but the commentary and completely ignorant facial expressions that followed genuinely left a bad taste in my mouth. After I ended up frantically handing this bartender a $20 for our drinks they proceeded to slam my change on the counter, practically throwing it and rolled their eyes. Personally having 10 years of bartending experience, in the restaurant industry, and 8 in managing, I think this establishment should really consider the people they staff their bar with. Unfortunately I do not know if returning is in my future and I’d steer clear of a Friday night if you’re looking to have a good time.

We had a night out with friends with the goal of eating at restaurant none of us had ever been to before. This one is a winner. From beginning to end, we were well cared for. The gentleman who welcomed us explained how the restaurant is arranged. Our waitress was superb. The main dining room was tastefully decorated, comfortable and easy to have a conversation in. But the food was the real star. Nothing disappointed. From the Greek Sampler appetizer to the Baklava and Cheesecake combination dessert, we were on a food tour of Greece. My friend got the Parmesan Crusted Salmon entree which came out as the whole fish! He thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a classic Gyro and it was spot on. We will definitely be returning.

😕 I’ve placed an order for take out four times here, and the last three times my order has been either wrong, terrible quality, or both. This last time I ordered an All American Burger🍔 that was burned dry with black edges, and a side of potato wedges with chili and cheese on top. It looked like a ruined patty that would be tossed in the trash 🗑️, yet here it was still plated and served. And even if you’re making a pick up order; you’re still expected to tip unless you want your order to be wrong or worse. And I DO NOT recommend you tip because your order will still be screwed up anyway. And what’s with this new culture of leaving a tip for take out when I have to place the order myself, drive to the restaurant, and then go inside to pickup and check my food? And yet they still expect me to leave a tip??!!! It’s a complete joke to ask someone to tip you for doing your job! I wish it did work that way across the board, but unfortunately it doesn’t. Pls stop this madness.

Nice atmosphere a lot tvs and windows . They forgot us. I spent there an hour until I told a waiter about service. They forgot the sauce I ask for. They didn’t even get refills or anything. I ask for the bill they didn’t forget to get that. The burger was drench in oil. Once oil was semi drain tasted horrible even with oil tasted horrible.how the heck was the sauce for the chip messed up. No good guac or salsa dip only good one was the cheese and I was bit concerned.last picture it’s a lot napkin filled with burger oil. I was very disappointed my wife had a chicken sandwich and that was good. I should’ve stuck to wings. I hope this is helpful. Update: owner sent me to their website that I’ve to register 2.which I find a bit weird,I wrote email to customer support their reply is oh call a customer support line basically am very disappointed. I will not register to a restaurant that service was inadequate and food was hit or miss mostly misses. Customer service was horrible, the waiters didn't know what they were doing and kept forgetting whose food went where. Some of them weren't even wearing the companies name so some people thought they were customers. The waiter I had was extremely unhygienic, sweating everywhere, wasn't washing her hands, and did not have proper attire on. She kept cursing and leaning over my table to talk to us. There was a man that worked here and he had his CHILDREN cleaning off the tables. They were 8 or so. The food was good, just greasy. The menu didn't really have a lot of options. Overall I would NOT recommend this place, it is musty and extremely dark lighting, and horrible customer service. At one point the waiter didn't take my card and asked me to get up and come with her to tap my card. Extremely unprofessional and one of the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

This place is a hidden gem in the neighborhood! The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the food is surprisingly great! Especially the wings, which are easily some of the best I’ve had in Lancaster. They’re always crispy, flavorful, and perfectly sauced. The drink selection is solid for a corner bar, with a nice mix of craft beers and great happy hour deals. Recently, it's gotten some unfair one-star reviews tied to behind-the-scenes drama with former staff, but don't let that discourage you. The new bartenders are friendly, attentive, and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Definitely worth a visit to form your own opinion. I would highly recommend!

Located directly across the street from Musser Park and the former location of Molly’s, this was a solid spot to get some food. What surprised me the most was how cheap and affordable everything was for downtown. I don’t think I saw a single meal over $18 on the menu and the food was excellent. They had a beef tip sandwich on special for $12 with onions, mushrooms and a horseradish sauce with your choice of fries, chips or wedges. The meat was super tender and packed plenty of flavor. Also, the smash burger was excellent as well. The second time I came, I got the roasted pork sandwich, which was the best I’ve ever had. The broccoli rabe was loaded with garlic, giving it an extra bite of goodness. Check out this new hot spot in town.

While Altana has nice views and great cocktails. The service is a bit slow, granted we were there on a Saturday evening. It took awhile to get our first round of cocktails but they were very good! Food took even longer and when it arrived my husband’s ribs were dry and over cooked. My filet was also over cooked, ordered medium rare and received well done. It also tasted like someone accidentally spilled a lot of black pepper on it and then tried to cover it up with the sauce. While our server was polite, he was few and far between when we needed him. Considering how expensive it was definitely not worth what we paid. Might be back for cocktails only. Very disappointed in the food. With such a small menu they should have perfected the few main entrees they do have but a las still far off from “perfecting” the dishes.
