1st time here last night 2/26/25. Absolutely amazing. We sat at the bar and the bartender was absolutely awesome. She was so friendly and attentive. Very good at what she does. I wish I knew her name to give her proper recognition but she was great. Very chill bar with a fun laid back vibe. Great draft and drink selection. But the food was the star of the show. We started with the fried pickles which were served with fresh crisp banana peppers and ranch to dip. Then we shared an order of wings and the double smash burger. They were so good. Highly highly recommend this place and I will definitely put it in my rotation of regular stops!
They gave me a pepperoni and hot honey flatbread for making a delivery here and it was outstanding. I can't comment on anything else about this place but I can tell their food is excellent.
Vintage venue with a cool atmosphere offering grub & unique beers, plus live music.
Doesn’t feel like there are many great taverns left in this country, but Jack’s one of the few last gems around. The ribs are to die for. Solid cocktail menu. Good beer on tap. Great atmosphere. The neighborhood seems to come through to drink together. Wonderful place.
If the food wasn’t so consistently good, I honestly wouldn’t bother coming here. The bartender is repeatedly rude, dismissive, and unwilling to accommodate even simple requests. It creates an unwelcoming environment that makes it hard to actually enjoy the otherwise great food and decent atmosphere. Service should matter just as much as the menu.
Great neighborhood pub and grill. Very friendly, Nice atmosphere and great outdoor deck are with lots of giant screens and corn hole too. The food is all delicious and just had an awesome cheese steak and absolutely the best French fries I've ever had. Definitely looking forward to go back here soon.
Last night was hands down the BEST meal I’ve ever had at The Patch! The Garlic Caesar Parm sauce is out of this world! I’d put it on absolutely everything. They’re taking bar food to a whole new level, from the crispy wing bites to the classic bologna. Every bite was packed with flavor, and you honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I already can’t wait to come back very soon.
You Need To Know? Arrived around 5:45 on a Friday night & we were able to sit at a table. The bar itself was packed. On this occasion we ordered the jalapeños burger, the rodeo burger & the invader which was Cajun chicken with crumbled bacon & blue cheese with a side of special sauce. The special sauce is amazing & tastes great on everything. We dipped all of our food in it. The food was fabulous, so good that we ordered chicken bites with special sauce to go. The bartender, Mike I believe, was friendly & made us feel very welcome. Haggertys is highly recommended! This place is a winner for sure! Now You Know! - TBH
One of the best wing bars in town. Tony does a phenomenal job running the bar. Very friendly. Since the upgrades, it had become a nice place to watch the game too.
This bar was never the way it is now. It was never taken care of and you weren’t ever treated as welcoming by the staff. Amazing place my favorite place to just go anytime of the day. The guys here are great to sit there and bs with and just be yourself. Bubba jays bar and grill one of the best places in Scranton by far!
Wings were pretty good. Atmosphere and locale were pretty run of the mill as bars go. But the wings here really sold it! Crispy and juicy, and they don't skimp on the seasoning and sauces.
Cruising home from a road trip to the Hudson Valley, we had to swing by The 1905 Tavern since it's not super close to us, but I've seen it mentioned on almost everyone's list of must-try places. Maybe it was the nostalgia of a couples weekend together (blended family, five kids)... or maybe it was Maggie, who greeted us with a bubbly smile and great product knowledge. I thought Maggie had long been the face behind the bar here, with the way she explained all the items and the passionate appreciation for what they're pumping out of the kitchen; she has just started working there... It must be a very near and dear place to her; but that's easy to get behind when you work with good people, and use fresh, high-quality ingredients with homemade traditions and recipes. Ok, now the pizza. Great crunch to the crust, and nowhere near as heavy as some of our Sicilian favorites in the Wyoming Valley or Back Mountain. I guess it's considered Old Forge style, but that's a rabbit hole for another day. The cheese was a unique and tasty blend that I couldn't put my finger on, but was a little different than most I've tried before. And when you reheat it, tastes like a giant toasted Cheez-It... That really hit the spot the next day. Oh, and amazing cappalletti soup (like Grandma's) and some of the best bites I've ever had, not pictured... Not overly breaded or fried, chunky and meaty, and lots of interesting sauces and rubs to choose from.
Got to say the pizza was some of the best Old Forge style around, they really got that dialed in. The wings were great, perfect level or crisp, great flavor. All around great place to get a drink and get some great food.
I used to regularly go to the Dugout when I lived in Scranton. It’s a friendly little cop bar. The pizza was outstanding. It’s got a very cool insider vibe, but not in a snobby NYC type of way. With the Dugout, you either no it exists and you’re in the club (to enjoy this hidden gem) or you don’t and you’re really missing out! It’s the quintessential neighborhood bar. Here I am leaving a rating for it 14 years after I lived in Scranton because I miss it.
It's one of the best bars in the area! Awesome owners!
Great staff. Our bartender went out of her way to open up the patio on a quiet night so that we could dine with our dog. Food was great too!
We called a few days in advance with a reservation of 20 people. It's a small place. They were not only able to accommodate us, but our waitress was incredible. She remembered all of our names, and we never had to ask for refills. She was on top of everything. Our food came out quickly and it was delicious!! I was super impressed!
Brick-walled watering hole featuring a rotating beer list & a jukebox in convivial, dimly lit digs.
What a great place to enjoy a pint. Our bartender was top notch and very helpful. And he nailed the pour. Original looking and just great to sit at a table, enjoy some drinks and have some great conversations...and you didn't have to yell over bad music. You must make this a stop, especially if you're planning a visit.
The only bar in the apple of my eye in downtown Scranton. A universal place to feel welcome and supported by community and make/ find friends. Frequently, it's the best place to be at midnight. I love the Bog sm 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Hands down. No comparison. The BEST wings. The 2 other couples we brought with us were blown away. It’s hard to recommend a place and actually all go together. U always think they may not like it as much as u. They thought it was everything and more!!! Don’t pass this one up.
I typically never ever leave a review, but this time I had to. I actually just got back to the hotel after stopping at Diskins. When I walked in, there were three people at the bar it was late after 12:30 on a Wednesday night I forget the three peoples names. Either way that does not matter all three of them were great The female, as I walked because all three of them looked at me. Are you ready for this? My answer was 100%. I’ve been here before. this is the place that I come in if I am in Scranton for work. I only stopped in to get a six pack of Budweiser, but one of the guys bought me a Budweiser to stay. I obliged and bought everyone a drink Hopefully, I’m in town again tomorrow because I wanna stop in and see them Great place! Real people! Nothing fake about this!!! I will definitely have their wings
Cozy corner tavern with offering pub eats & weekday happy hours, plus live music & karaoke nights.
The BEST bar in town! No matter what day of the week you go there's always something fun going on, whether it's a day for the community like karaoke or NEPA Scene or live music from one of their many great bands you'll for sure end the night not wanting to leave. The high energy and vibes of all the phenomenal bartenders and customers are so amazing and welcoming they really do become family! Food is so good and the drinks are stronnng! Our favorite spot to be and we're so greatful for all the love and effort from the staff!
Had a great time at the V Spot Bar. They had an event for local artists. They had people vote for their favorite local stars and I attended the awards ceremony. The drinks are great! The bartenders are amazing. And the food was hot, fresh and good!
When you’re here, you’re family. Especially if you’re an Eagles fan!! Very welcoming owners/crowd and always have a great time. Stop by, you won’t regret it. 🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Went for Pho, I got the spicy broth with chicken, and my coworkers got the regular broth with chicken and beef balls. 10/10, big portions, and you will leave full!
Very nice laid back local Bar. Nice relaxing atmospere. Not overly fancy but a welcoming tone. Clean. Vanishing Point was a very talented band.
they don't have in house food so ur getting it from the place next door. we got food and it was not that great. the place is awesome. live music and wall art for sale!! drinks aren't ungodly expensive.
Awesome vibe! Back open again after being closed for a while. Great cocktail list and great live music! Worth stopping in for an after dinner drink.
The intimacy of the place relaxes you as you enjoy top-notch drinks and entertainment. The feeling of history surrounds you when you sit back in comfort; the chairs are as inviting as the atmosphere. The staff is friendly and courteous. And there is something special when you enter through a ‘secret’ door in a dark alley. Fabulous.
Waldo’s has become my all-time favorite place to get wings! Both boneless and bone in, the flavor selection and taste is superb! I get the xtra mild sauce which doesn’t irritate my heartburn. The crisp is perfect. Waldo’s gives HUGE portions to the point where myself and my partner have to share a meal & we still have leftovers! You get an amazing value for what you’re paying, which is a very affordable price to begin with. The staff is always friendly and attentive, even when the place is packed. The patio is really nice to sit at. They have bands and live music from time to time as well. I can’t recommend Waldo’s enough!
It's hard to beat Waldo's wings. Crispy, juicy, well-sauced, and delicious. 60¢ per wing on Mondays and Thursdays. Plenty of flavors to try, and you can combine flavors to create your own. It can get pretty busy from time to time, but I strongly recommend it for the quality and the value.
Chill neighborhood tavern supplying creative pub grub & ample craft beers in a collegial atmosphere.
This place is such a hidden gem! Food is outstanding! Get the smoked wings, and the home made sweet potato tots, amazing!
I love this place so much! The food is so fresh, the workers are friendly and inviting! I had an Asian salad with shrimp and it was so fresh and crisp. Perfect blend of flavors! I can’t wait to get another one!
First time at Mickey Gannons and boy was it a mixed bag! The wings are absolutely delicious - great crispness, bright and punchy sauce, well sized. Fries were fine, the beer cheese was good. The restaurant was not busy by any means and the service was intermittent at best, it appeared our waitress was focused more on conversations in the back of the restaurant. And the bathrooms...as a friend said, "they're a right of passage". Definitely a mixed bag of feelings here, but if you can hold your bladder and bring wet wipes you should have a good experience here!
There is a reason Mickey Gannon’s has been a favorite of mine for many years. Great food, Great Service, Great drinks. Their chicken wings are my favorite but everything is just awesome. They have live music sometimes that is always delightful. If you are anywhere in the Scranton area. Make sure to stop in ! You’ll soon feel like family there.
Old West-themed bar & grill offering simple American fare, weekly line dancing & live entertainment.
Stopped through on our way from Indiana to Maine. Family of 6 and had driven 10 hours. We called at 9:30pm to see if kids were allowed and the dining room/kitchen was closing at 10. We couldn’t get there until 10:30. The owner, Dustin, went above and beyond to host our family and make us feel welcome. He let us pre-order some appetizers and had them ready for us when we arrived at 10:30pm, after the dining room was already closed! He let us sit in the dining area so we could still hear the great band playing in the bar area since the kids couldn’t be in there. Also ordered some pizzas that were great. Thank you Dustin and the sweet server that helped us out! Would recommend this fun spot to anyone passing through. Great service and atmosphere! You might even catch some cute locals line dancing or singing karaoke.
I relocated from Michigan, where local diners, often called coney islands, offer a wide variety of dishes, from soups and sandwiches to pizzas and pastas all the way to breakfast. This new place reminded me of home, delivering an absolutely delicious experience at reasonable prices. The French onion soup was likely the best I've ever tasted, surpassing even my own homemade version. After trying numerous diners since my move, I finally found what I had been craving, and I will definitely return, as this meal reignited my hope for finding great dining options in the area.
I ordered a filet steak sandwich and and order of mild garlic boneless wings. When I got home with the order this is what I got. One completely dry order covered in garlic and some teriyaki left over wings that someone didn’t finish. Wtf!?
Fun atmosphere, great food and excellent staff. Always friendly.
I have been wanting to try this place out for a while now and I finally got there last night!! It was everything I wanted and more!!! The staff was fantastic and answered all our questions. The drinks were crazy good! Now let’s get into the food - O.M.G.!!!!! I have been to plenty of “themed restaurants” and most only focus on the atmosphere. Not here, the food was absolutely delicious!! The steaks were perfectly cooked and tender. The taste - WOW!!! We will be back and we’ll be bringing all of our out-of-town guests with us!!!
This is the best restaurant in Scranton! My boyfriend and I come here frequently for date nights and special occasions. It’s the absolute best place to eat if you have dietary restrictions/allergies or are vegan/vegetarian. So many options and so many things can be customized as well. I have a dairy allergy and they always take it very seriously and accommodate it with the most delicious food. Drinks are also delicious and so creative. We have never had bad service here. It’s always top notch. Last time our server was Monica and she was fantastic! Atmosphere is very cool. We do miss the old location but we appreciate the space and the decor of the new place. Highly recommend for anyone in the Scranton area.
Corner neighborhood haunt since 1994 with wings & other pub grub, plus weekly food & drink specials.
Our first visit was a great one, and we'll definitely be back! The meals were delicious, and we even got a pizza to take home. We can't recommend the wings enough—they were delicious and probably the best we've had. I had the cheesesteak wrap, which was filling and delicious. The portions are huge, so we each took half of our meals home. The white broccoli pizza is also fantastic! (We've included pictures of our leftovers.)
Zaleski’s has some of the best wings around. They’ve got a great variety of flavors, and every time I go, they’re cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The place has a chill, no-frills vibe, and the staff is always friendly. If you’re a wing fan, this spot is definitely worth checking out!
Uber gal here again. Dropped off a rider who advised me to stop and take a break. I was done driving for the night, so I had to check it out. It's an old bar vibe from back in the day, they have a popular pool table, a few tv's, lottery machines, and an old styled room that was not being used. It was huge and the bar area was ornate and unique. It's tricky to find out where to park, there is a small side alley-like road along the side of the building. People were not real friendly but the bartender was nice and helpful in suggesting a drink. If you like pool then this is your place, otherwise, I will not be back.
Classic roadhouse bar with pool tables and a full size shuffleboard table. Law & Order SVU was on the TV (see pic). They had the radio on and I’m not sure if it was considered “classic rock” or “oldies” but they played Aerosmith, Nirvana, and STYX, so you can be the judge of that. It was one of those days where they play 2 songs in a row by the same artist, like a “two for Tuesday” kinda thing. At least that’s what they called it on the classic rock station I used to listen to in boston. Come to think of it, I was at this bar on a Tuesday. So maybe it’s a thing in Scranton too.
Full bar tucked inside a bowling alley with a menu of pub grub plus flat-screens & karaoke nights.
Let me just say that you come here for the atmosphere, not the food. Lots of fun memorabilia around and the bartender is quite the character. If you’re a fan of the show it’s worth taking the trip out here to have a pint. If you’re brave enough and don’t care about flavor, try the periogis.

Easygoing tavern with a patio for familiar pub grub, clever cocktails & a vast array of craft beer.
We had an amazing experience here on a Saturday afternoon, family of 5 and two small pups that like to bark occasionally…..they welcomed us with open arms, even though our young pups were misbehaving a bit the waitress made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. We were able to order two plain pieces of grilled chicken for the dogs which was great. The food was delicious, I think that we ordered too much food, but my tacos and Mac and cheese were delicious along with a perfect margarita. My son is so picky, he only eats fries cooked perfectly of course and devoured them! My older daughters loved the jukebox app they have available to purchase and play music. We will be back! Thank you for your kindness and making us feel welcomed!
Wow!!! My husband and I recently moved to Scranton and we were looking for a local restaurant to give our business to. We came across this place and I’m thrilled that we did!!! Every staff member who walked past our table asked if we were doing okay or if we needed anything. They were all so friendly!! We decided to eat out back since it’s a gorgeous Spring day. I was expecting to sit there and swat bugs away but nope, the “ceiling” is screened with pretty lights shimmering above. The atmosphere was fun. The food…the presentation was amazing and the taste was even better!!! We will definitely be regulars and will bring our family when they visit town!!!
Honestly, this is our favorite bar to go to. The owner and the staff are amazing. Always a good atmosphere.
Kacie is awesome bartender, love her !!! Will always come back when she is working
Oh wow. Brooke is the best bar tender ever been coming here all my life and never had someone better. Buck more then approves
No food here but you can bring your own. If you like dive bars, you'll like Whiskey Dick's. Cash only so bring your greenbacks.
Myself and a group of ladies went for a ladies night out. The view from the rooftop is beautiful, the bartenders were very friendly. They answered my questions about the drinks, which aided my decision on some of the drinks. They also overheard the sun was beating down on my table and immediately put up the umbrella, they were very accommodating. The atmosphere was very relaxing. I would definitely go again.
Recently visited this spot after a lot of buzz and was very happy to see a spot like this in Scranton. Views are great and the layout of the space is lovely. Because it is first come first serve, during peak hours the tables and fire pits are pretty much unavailable. Unsure if it was just because of the volume of patrons, but my drinks were not very strong and had a mild flavor at best. Most if not all cocktails are $10+, hard seltzers in cans are $8. Wasn't able to try the food but the menu looks great. I would absolutely recommend visiting at least once for the views alone.
Airy brick-lined tavern in a historic building for elevated pub fare & a vast array of craft beer.
Ale Mary's is a gastropub located on Franklin Ave. in Scranton. They are open Mon 4PM - 12AM, Wed - Fri 4PM - 12AM, and Sat - Sun 12PM - 12AM. My friends and I dropped in for a quick bite before our bowling tournament on Saturday. The food was delicious, and our server was friendly and made some great recommendations. We ordered the house fries, house wings, and pulled pork nachos. The fries were hot, crispy, and seasoned with rosemary, thyme, and garlic, served with a tasty sriracha aioli. The wings were medium-sized, perfectly cooked, and tossed in a mild buffalo-style house sauce. The nachos were generously topped with tender pulled pork, BBQ sauce, Gouda sauce, and roasted corn salsa. Some of the tortilla chips were left bare, but all the ingredients came together nicely. Pickup is available, but there is no delivery. Half priced wings & bites every Monday.
New management cut the menu in half and basically ruined the place. For example, they went from delicious flatbreads to this sorry excuse for “pizza.” It is literally Nardone’s with some green stuff sprinkled on top. $16 (really!) for 4 little squares, and it came out so cold that my wife had to send it back to get heated up. No more Cajun fries. No more fried pickle spears. I love my bartenders (Rob and Colin) but I won’t be making the trip from Dallas any more. Sorry guys.
Bartari is easily one of the coolest spots in Scranton! Whether you’re a gamer, a casual player, or just someone looking for a fun night out, Bartari nails the vibe. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with the perfect mix of nostalgia and modern arcade energy — rows of classic arcade cabinets, pinball machines, and console setups that make you want to stay for hours. The food and drinks are a huge win, too. The menu is way better than your typical bar fare — creative burgers, loaded fries, and a great selection of craft beers and cocktails that keep the night rolling. The service is always top-notch; the staff is friendly, quick, and clearly loves the atmosphere they’ve created. It’s also a perfect spot for groups. Whether you’re planning a casual night with friends, a date night, or even a private event, there’s space and energy for everyone. The prices are super reasonable for the amount of fun packed into the night. Bottom line: Bartari is a must-visit in downtown Scranton. Great games, great food, great people — it’s the kind of place that keeps you coming back again and again.
Speaking strictly about food and bev - this spot is amazing! The staff was so kind and the food was expertly prepared. I loved every single dish, especially the burger and fries. My friend loved the beer cheese pretzel bites and the fried apples. The space is well laid out and the bar is well stocked.
Irish-style fixture with a patio offering beer, spirits & hearty fare like wings & seafood entrees.
You Need To Know? Arrived at 6 on a Friday night & we were greeted immediately & able to sit at a table. The staff worked well together & service was quick & drinks were cold & stiff. On this occasion we had the pan seared Ahi Tuna, a grilled chicken salad 🥗 and the Dudewitch which was marinated steak, onions on a bed of fries. Food was good & is worth a try if your in the Scranton area. Now You Know! -TBH
I haven't been to Andy Gavin's in years, and when my husband wanted clams at a local picnic, I preferred an atmosphere to sit down in. After conducting some research on what restaurants in the area serve clams, this was a great choice, as we've been frequenting many of the same restaurants for years and want to expand our go-to options. Ugh, not only disappointed, but almost angry at what was placed in front of us- a dozen clams each that could have been the size of nickels- if we were lucky, and the shells were small and thin. How can you charge customers this price and not be completely embarrassed?!? I mentioned this to the waitress, to which she responded, "Well, this is an appetizer." That's completely unacceptable. However, it's not the responsibility of the individual taking the order. Still, it is the responsibility of the person who does the ordering in the kitchen, and the person in charge of pricing. To be fair, I ordered a special, fish tacos, and although I cannot remember what type of fish, they were delicious. Look at the price of the clams in the photo! If the clams were worth it, it wouldn't have been a big deal. My husband def won't go here again. Do better! In these times, you need all of the repeat customers you can get!
For the age of the place it's fairly decent place inside. Bartenders are nice. The pizza they served was really good. Big downfall is parking is terrible. Overall it's a good place to grab a few drinks.
Kelly is the Best bartender I've ever come in contact with. Sweet and curious. She keeps the place neat and clean and is fast on her feet with every order I made.
Really cool spot to eat. Seems like a lot of regulars that come and everyone knows eachother. Bartender was really nice and was very attending. Food was really good. I would go back and eat there. Has a lot of history in the building. Plenty of parking and you can park in the back also under the train covering.
Very nice eatery inside the Radisson hotel on Lackawanna Avenue in Scranton. Decent menu, prices were reasonable, and the food was all well prepared.
Friendly place to be! My grandfather has been coming herr his whole life and its always the same good time. Not like youre average bar. Plus the pretty girl that served us was very chill.
Nice quiet place with friendly patrons. Prices are excellent and service is great!
What a gem Sergei’s is! The food? Always delicious. The vibe? Spot on. The staff? Honestly some of the friendliest and most attentive in town. Huge shoutout to Erin, Ericka, Gabe, Christal, and the whole crew I know I’m missing a few names, but y’all always crush it. They’ve been bringing in some incredible entertainment, too. The venue itself is gorgeous. Basalyga absolutely nailed the renovation. Took the old Tinks/Hardware Bar/Levels space and turned it into something Scranton can be proud of. It’s just awesome to see places like this popping up around the city. Scranton’s glow-up is real and Sergei’s is leading the charge. Highly recommend.
Good place to stop before a night out for a little bit. It’s your typical bar. My main issue is the dress code that they enforce. My friends and I looked it up online and dressed accordingly, but they don’t really follow it, multiple people were wearing shorts, hats, beer shirts, etc. I don’t mind that AT ALL because in the end it’s a bar in downtown Scranton, but it should probably be enforced or not exist.
