Came here after work for a quick drink after a rough day. I was surprised by the office chairs, it was different from other bars but it was so relaxing after being on my feet all day. They definitely know what they are doing. I didn't try the food because I went late after 12am but I will definitely go back to try the food. I’ll probably come here often
This was a very unexpected discovery for us. We had a rough day at work and wanted to chill somewhere after work. We saw this place and randomly stopped by. Oh boy! It’s a hoot! First of all…. The bar has office armchairs !!! Not office chairs! Arm chairs! The ones the big boss usually get! It’s so comfy! Second of all, they have very nice bartenders, that can make you anything you want. Or create something to your taste. Third if you are into music or sports you can do either or. Several TVs and TouchTunes. The food… they make it to order. Wings, and fried pickles is what I always order there and they are yummmmmmmy. Such a relaxed peaceful atmosphere. Needless to say we went there again, and again, and again lol. Even when we had a decent day at work. Just to hang out. Try them out. You won’t be disappointed.
Absolutely awesome place. Stop by with a suit and tie or a pair of shorts and sandals. It doesn’t matter. Excellent jukebox music. And deli sandwiches made to order. Check out the crowd. Not pretentious. Just good people having a good time. Well, maybe one or two knuckleheads who find it necessary to dominate the conversation but ignoring that is pretty easy.
OK. LISTEN UP! This is a great choice for local casual pubs. If you want elegance and white tablecloths, look elsewhere. I loved service, food quality, and draft beer (10 stars). Will definitely return and recommend. Waitress was Amanda... the best!
Best Pina Colada in the Village.
Cozy, with a great drink menu and several microbrews on tap and bottles. Service and patrons were friendly. On street parking only. I would recommend this place to friends and family.
My reason for being there was sad because we were there to say goodbye to someone after a service. The back room was reserved for us. Plenty of seating for the approximately 12 to 15 ppl that were there. The food was very good. The chicken parm was amazing. The pasta was cooked to perfection. Joe came around several times to make sure everything and everyone was ok. The prices were quite reasonable. Looks like there is live entertainment here although I am not sure of the exact days and times. We were there on a Thursday night, no entertainment then. Everything went well. I would definitely book a function here in the future.
An amazing place great ppl great service..I had the cheddar melt burger omg best one I ever had ...if you are looking for good food stop here. Trust me you will be back I'll be there ever Fri for the cheddar melt
Great food for this out of the way pub. At little rough around the edges and no windows but well worth checking out for the excellent food!
I went for open mic night and was not disappointed! Had never been but driven by, and the place always looks full. Staff was pleasant, manged crowd well, and they had food in the grill, outdoor seating, nice lights, and great local comedians to entertain.
I’ve been coming here for years, Pjs is a local “go to” spot. It’s located seconds off the highway, and conveniently near the center of Cranston. It’s not a huge place, but it has plenty of seating, parking, and good people. The staff are always awesome, the food is always amazing, and the drinks are solid. They offer outdoor seating for the summer, and also have an indoor tented patio area in addition to the normal interior seating. The food is where it’s at. The wings are second to none, the burgers and pizzas are delicious, as is everything else. They always have sports, or the games on their many TV’s. Over all the is our spot when we are looking for good food & drinks to wash it down.
This is a takeout review. All food is eaten promptly in the vehicle. I had the rodeo burger with fries, chili, and a toasted peanut butter and Jelly sandwich. The chili was very nice with great flavor. The burger was really nicely done, lots of flavor and great toppings. The fries were average, nothing to exciting. The sandwich was just a trip back in time. I asked for added fluff and really enjoyed the memories. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 8.3.
Great bar in Cranston. Pool tables, keno, cheap food. Will be back!
Did not eat there this time, but we will be back. Great craft beers on tap. Staff is very attentive. How have we missed this Hidden Gem?
visit and dine at many restaurants and bars around Rhode Island, but this is my first Google review. Over the years, I’ve never felt compelled to write one—until tonight. I went to a place called The Joint to have a beer and socialize with the local Cranston crowd. Apparently, a friend of mine stepped out to buy cigarettes and accidentally dropped a piece of trash in the parking lot. A young, short female employee with tattoos suddenly started yelling at him—even though he was a paying customer—for littering outside. That wasn’t enough; she also called over the loud and obnoxious bartender to join in. At that point, I stepped in and asked the bartender to stop yelling and pointing fingers at my friend. Instead of de-escalating, she turned her attention to me and started yelling and pointing at me too. Bottom line: it was a bad experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent night out.
Went in to grab a drink with a friend two hours before a band was supposed to play and they still wanted us to pay a $10 cover each. Needless to say, we left...
Great place, food was good, service was really good, a little hard to get drinks when it's packed but that happens every where when a place is jamming. Bar would benefit from having a designated area where people that aren't sitting at the bar can go and pick up drinks and go back to their table or dance floor. But other than that, place is great.
Nice big stage with a whole row of outlets on the wall behind it. Ample space in front of stage allows for guest acoustics and plenty of room to dance.
The Beef Sliders had more high quality ground beef than a lot of places full sized burgers and came with a generous portion of seasoned fries. The Pastels were new to me and really good. The chef was out front when we arrived and was super friendly and you could tell the pride he takes in his excellent food.
This place is very unprofessional. On many occasions that I have been there, I always felt uneasy and never felt welcomed. I have seen several times where women would be treated like sex objects, and never protected. This place needs to be respectful towards women. If I could give negative stars, it would be that.
Chicken Tenders & Fries were delicious, fresh, hot and wel cooked. Reuben was pretty well too! Environment was a great vibe, you can tell that anyone that likes to have a good time just at a low key spot this is the place. Bartenders and servers attentive, look happy, chatting with customers, and there if you needed them.
Thirsty Beaver never dissapoints the food is delicious and the customer service is excellent . Crystal was our waitress and did an amazing job on making sure our experience was nothing less than perfect. We had a Pepperoni Pizza , Burger , and a few sides. If you're looking for a nice chill welcoming vibe this is the place to go to we will definitely be back .
