For quiet, intimate cocktail any time of day, this is the best spot in downtown. Most evenings even if full, it’s a place for conversing and sipping. It can be a little livelier on weekend nights as the weather gets nicer but it usually still gets more quaint the it gets. Recommend Raspberry Collins (sorry for no pic) for those that like fizz without it being too sweet. Their whiskey / bourbon cocktails are second to none. Although from out of town, we have been here dozens of times and hoping to be back dozens more.

One of the top cocktail bars in Sioux Falls!! The three quarter nelson is my favorite cocktail in town!

The environment is warm and sometimes loud if indoors. That is no problem though as they have a nice patio. The bartenders are all great and accommodating. The cocktails are delicious and fun to try different ones. They also have beers as well if you are not the cocktail type. Would recommend to anyone nearby of my friends or family!

Carpenter Bar for me is mehh... I've been here once and that's it. Many people have been telling me it's not the best bar since their drinks don't even taste like cocktails, more like alcohol bombs. I didn't want to believe it. When I went there, my husband got a Long Island, I got a tiramisu drink and my mother in law got a coffee martini. My husband's drink was undrinkable, there was no long island taste, only vodka taste and it burned. My drink barely had any tiramisu flavor that was expected. It was mostly burning and unbalanced. And the coffee martini was not bad, but again, it was hard to swallow. When I go to a cocktail bar, I love drinks to have a balance taste. I usually go to The Treasury at Hotel Phillips, just a few streets down Phillips Ave. I would give it another shot to see if I would be a continuing customer at this bar. So we'll have to see. If the experience changes, I might just update this review ❤️ Attached picture is the Tiramisu Cocktail 🍸 Update: I would like to express that I went a second time on Sunday the 18th of August of 2024, to give it a chance. We had family from Cali come out to visit us and we wanted to have a nice cocktail... Since many things are closed on Sundays at SFSD, we decided to stop by for a drink. And wow, I would like to express that the drinks were balanced and incredible. I could taste anything other than a Shot of alcohol. Not sure what bartender was there on that day, but give them a raise 💸💸💸 Not only that, the service was very professional and hospitable, and the cheese board we ordered was incredible. Honestly, take it from me, if the first time wasn't a good experience, give it a second chance. You might just be surprised 🙀 ❤️ 5/5 Review!!!!!

First time here I ordered "The Optimist" a very delicious cocktail that was made with skill and love. I found company at the bar that was entertaining and made me want to come back. Update: Three weeks later I returned for So Dak Attack & Margarita ..Truly one of the best I have ever had. ( Including nine locations in Mexico).. The staff presents themselves like old school New York City...class..style...patience.
