Great New Bar with Awesome Vibes and Even Better Prices! I recently visited this new bar and was genuinely impressed. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the customer service is top-notch. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance of fun, welcoming, and relaxed. They’ve got pool tables, which is a big plus, and the drink prices are unbeatable for the quality you get. To top it off, they have a live DJ on Friday and Saturday nights, which really brings the place to life and makes it a great weekend hangout spot.

Came in for happy hour from an ad I saw on IG advertised from 3pm-6pm. Was told when I came in at 5 it was past time. But a quick phone call to the owner from staff stated they recently changed it to 5. But will honor it for 6. Koko and Haneesha were all stars! Took care of me very warm and attentive. Told me all about the happenings of days of the week. Will definitely be back! I got the Mexican candy drink, Cesar salad and garlic parm wings

Stopped here for the first time to grab a bite after a good hike. Initially we were happy with the Menu options and went ahead and ordered. We had a long wait to be helped and to get our food. The food portion was disappointing and it was not the most flavorful to be go eat. The drinks were alright., we did love their Mai Tai and their cold beer on draft options. It’s unfortunate that such a good location is lacking better food quality. We would like to come back and enjoy the patio but probably for drinks only. Parking is reasonable and they do have happy hour specials.

I had a good time during both of my visits to the 1851. My first time was during Feb 2020, I had showed up pretty late on a Saturday night looking for a place to dance! I walked in and it wasn't as busy as I'd hoped. One of the few customers there explained that, since there hadn't been a drag show that night, the turnout was definitely affected. Despite the low turnout, the few people that did show up were dancing and having a good time so, the vibe was still there and, that motivated me to start dancing too. Ultimately, I stayed until they were close to closing and, I left with a good first impression. For my second visit, I had learned beforehand that, the Arlington Pride 2025 After Party would be held at the 1851. When I showed up, I couldn't remember if they had a cover fee from last time but, I was pleasantly surprised when, I saw that they weren't charging a cover fee that night. Unlike last time, they had staff checking IDs to get in. The place was packed for the After Party! I went straight for the bar but, I realized they didn't have a drink menu so, I took a chance and asked for a Lemon Drop, and they were able to make it for me. The Lemon Drop was average but, for the cheap price, I didn't mind that. Be aware that, the large crowd did create an equally long wait for everyone in line at the bar. I guess that comes with finally getting to see a drag show here, and the crowd that comes with it. After they finished the show, the dance floor opened up for everyone so, I couldn't resist joining the crowded dance floor too. The crowd had filled out the club so much that, it felt like the building and the dancefloor had gotten smaller, haha! It was a magical experience and I can't wait to come back again.

Why would a sports bar close at 9pm... I gave it a 4 cause I asked for a reprinted ticket & the waitress chuckled cause she knew I was changing my tip... it should say somewhere gratuity included.... THE FOOD IS SO GOOD DRINKS SO GOOD, I got the brisket quesadilla omg... the taste the texture the sauce 10 out of 10.... I was planning on giving it a 5 star until my ending experience... The manager came out & spoke to everyone... its definitely a vibe... but if people coming to watch sports why would u close when the sports still going on... oh Music was definitely too loud....

Derica Booker43 months ago

This is my second time eating here and I have to say that this is some of the best season to catfish in the dfw. The Addy sauce is a nice touch too. The food came out hot and fresh and there wasn't a long wait time although the place being packed. While we waited I ordered a cocktail called the Memphis. My only note was that I feel like the cocktail is super small to have paid $12. The owner or manager of the establishment was super nice however the wait staff seemed a little irritable and didn't want to be there. She didn't waste any time walking around asking "are you done?" Although we intended to stick around for a while to chit chat and possibly have more cocktails. This place is easily a 9.0 but the customer service from the wait staff could use some improvement

We're out having old fashions tonite. Beautiful evening in arlington. Followed google recommendations to Hayters. Cailin offered to smoke our old fashioned, then stamped the ice with their label and continued to make an incredible cocktail. This woman was busy, but never missed a step or a guest! Cheers to you Cailin! 🥃 Side note: I had to edit this review as we headed over to Hertados bbq next door. Ordered a 3 meat sampler for myself and husband, $30 with 20% tip! Awesome price and phenomenal bbq, totally unexpected. The bar and the BBQ joint are right next to each other. They even delivered our order to us at the bar. Great service and a great experience! Make sure you always take care of your service industry when you're out!

Super fun watering hole that is part of Hurtado BBQ next door. Just stopped in for a drink after a trying day. Awesome service and fun atmosphere. A “cheers” type of atmosphere as they just made drinks for a couple of folks who walked in without talking to them. They know them and know what they want. Does it get better than that? That’s what legends are made of. Definitely give them a whirl. You can’t go wrong.

Came here with some friends and had the best time! I love a fun cocktail and these drinks looked so cool we just had to try each other's orders. I got the one that comes with fire which prompts a cool interaction (no spoilers) with the bartender. Wish I remembered his name, he's got long hair and a really outgoing, positive, infectious vibe where you can't help but smile! Thank you so much, it was a great way to round off our night!! Wish I'd taken more photos of the drinks.

We recently hosted an Alumni Reception at Texas Live!, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, Victoria and her team were outstanding, professional, responsive, and truly invested in making our event special. Even though our crowd was smaller, it felt like a major celebration thanks to their attention to detail, flawless setup, and genuine hospitality. Everything ran smoothly, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful the space and staff were. Highly recommend Texas Live! and especially Victoria Lennox for any event, large or small. She’s simply the best!

Wonderful place to meet new people or have a chat with friends. The inside is a bit small and chairs can fill up fast on Wednesdays and Thursdays (for Emo Nights and Karaoke) but the back patio is the largest in the area with more than plenty of seating options. They do have darts and one pool table that is in rough condition. Hard to navigate around with the size of the bar. The staff, all except for one, have always been lovely and I would give nothing but praise to this place if any of my friends asked about it

From the moment we were seated, the service we received was nothing short of exceptional. Our waiter, ZOOM, went above and beyond to make our evening unforgettable. Friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive without being intrusive — they struck the perfect balance that every diner hopes for. What really stood out was ZOOM knowledge of the menu. They offered thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences, highlighted specials with enthusiasm, and even accommodated dietary restrictions with ease and genuine care. Our drinks were never empty, our courses arrived perfectly timed, and every request was met with a warm smile. Small touches — like remembering our names, checking in at just the right moments, and ensuring our comfort — made it feel more like a fine dining experience, even though we weren’t at a fine dining restaurant. Service like this is rare and deserves to be recognized. We’ll definitely be returning — not just for the great food, but because of the exceptional service from ZOOM . Truly a standout in hospitality!

The ambiance is absolutely amazing with beautiful decor that gives off a cozy yet vibrant vibe, perfect for a night out. There's plenty of parking, which is a huge plus in a busy area like this. It does get crowded on weekends, so plan accordingly if you want a spot without waiting. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are large with solid quality, the food tastes really good, with flavors that hit the spot. However, it was way too loud both indoors and outdoors, making it tough to have peaceful conversations. The outdoor live music added to the energy but contributed to the noise level. If you're looking for a lively spot rather than a quiet chat, this is ideal. I'd give it 4 stars and definitely return for the atmosphere.

The food was ok. My salad barely had any toppings. Gumbo was too salty. Louisiana plate was pretty good. Not busy at all during Sunday lunch. Don’t be fooled by all the 5 stars reviews. We asked for the check, and was told there was a “corporate situation” where we had to leave a review to receive the bill. I couldn’t believe it, so I repeated, “we have to leave a review just to get the bill???” The answer was yes. Our bill was being held hostage. We were stunned as our waiter told us we’d “get points for reviewing” (not restaurant points btw, these are Google points) and pressured us to scan the QR code and stood there watching to make sure we had put 5 stars on everything. When he saw I was hesitant to do so, he said just one of us could do the review to get the bill. This is unbelievable business practice and extremely uncomfortable. For this reason alone, I cannot recommend this establishment and will not be returning.

So there I was ....craving a big juicy "chain sports bar" burger with a Red Sox/Yankees game on a hot Saturday. I had never been to Walk On and hadn't heard much about it. I walked in was pleasantly surprised at how many TV 's there were. The manager assured me he could get the game on whichever TV I chose. I ordered the Hickory Burger. Hand formed patty, not too round or flat, seasoned perfectly. Very well crafted sandwich, able to taste each ingredient in every bite without any one flavor overpowering the rest. The crispy onion rings had a really nice "black pepper" kick to the breading. Big "juicy" burger, not greasy at all. The bun didn't get soggy with all the ingredients either. I was allowed to swap the waffle fries for sweet potato fries, yum! Excellent sports bar experience, good atmosphere with customers hosting draft parties. Red Sox 12. Yankees 1. I'll definitely be back.

Dive bar. But in tired, unfun way. Bartender was friendly and drinks fine but a couple regulars were odd. Staring making comments and generally unpleasant. This is my favorite place to get a drink and have fun! me and my friends come very often since 4 years ago, we know most of the bartenders and they are pretty cool with us, BUT today we had the worst experience with the bartender that was on shift(09/20/2025 around 2:00 pm) he was very rude since we arrived, my friend paid the first round of drinks and he didn’t leave a tip because we always leaved at the end, we were planning to play some pool and eventually order more drinks, but before going upstairs, he told us with a very rude attitude that if we’re not going to tip him he wasn’t going to make anymore drinks to us because the ones we ordered “was the HARDEST drink he ever made” we got shocked because we thought he was playing about it but he was very serious about it, we asked for his name but honestly we were very shocked and mad we couldn’t remember it, he was skinny with glasses and short curly hair, this is our favorite bar in all the DFW area, at least we visit the bar once a week, because we really love this place, but honestly we’ve never expected to have such a bad treatment, we’re hoping to never have an experience like this in such an amazing place like hooligans.

Showdown is your typical low key hidden bar, affectionately known as a dive bar. But, don't get me wrong, this is not a dive. Very clean, nice TVs, music pools table and several other games. Food is very good and great prices. Food was excellent again. The BBQ burger was really good. Once again, the bartender, Molly, was awesome. Just like Valerie the last time. Always on top of your drinks and never let ours go dry. Fun to chat with and knows most of the patrons by name. Regulars she definitely knows. Highly recommend this place for a low key evening and conversation with friends. Atmosphere was fun and music just loud enough to hear but not too loud to drown out conversations.

We just moved to Arlington and have been searching for a neighborhood bar! Showdown was great! The service was amazing, prices were great, and the atmosphere was perfect. It was a little hot, didnt seem like they had AC, BUT their service made up for the smidge of discomfort. Food was yum: chicken nachos, spicy chicken sandwich, fries ... all cooked to perfection. Outdoor patio good for a small crowd, they also had a small vendor/flea market, with live DJ. Fun, last minute stop for food and drinks!!

The dive bar that's not a dive bar. We came for the Rock & Rhythm market this Saturday and stayed for drinks and a meal. Good for any crowd, but a lot of alt patrons. We had a few drinks and had the chicken tenders and wings. They were both great! Well be back when next this way.

I have eaten here on occasion, so when we were planning our dinner for the upcoming Embrace Grace Princess Day, this place came to mind. I was put in touch with Kyla Lowery who is the community growth manager. I sent her a little info about our group and the day we were planning and she was eager to welcome us and allow Lazy Dog to help with dinner. Our service by Adrian was excellent. He did a great job anticipating our groups needs and treating everyone at the table with upmost respect and care. From our appetizers to our meals, it was such a beautiful work of art. The surprising, surpassing all expectations of the night, was when Kyla came out with gift bags to bless each Brave Girl at the table. The gift included a robe, a baby paw blanket and a gift card for a meal at a later date. These ladies were blown away and it was the perfect day of pampering so she knows God sees her and cares about her journey! Thank you Lazy Dog for supporting a community of Women facing unexpected pregnancy.

We had a wonderful first-time dining experience at the Lazy Dog. The service was exceptional.. our server was attentive without being intrusive. A special touch that stood out was when the manager personally came by to greet us as first-time diners and deliver a complimentary cone of fries. This added a thoughtful, personal note to our evening that’s rare to find. The dog friendly patio is very accommodating to fur babies. Water bowls are complimentary which is a nice touch. Check out the pup menu and patio rules. The food was tasty and well prepared. The only reason for the 4-star rating rather than 5 is that while the food was tasty and satisfying, it didn’t quite reach that “wow” level. We ordered the BBQ Bison Meatloaf and 🤔 honestly, I don’t remember the name of the pasta dish. Definitely would recommend for the high level of service, welcoming environment—especially if you’re bringing a fur baby along!

Used to be a regular, was a great spot. Bartenders are amazing and great prices. However, it’s gotten weird lately. I saw the owner in there harassing his bar manager, pushing chairs around, and spitting tobacco on his own floor. They periodically go “cash only”. Wonder why? I’m no Sherlock but it smells of skimming and money laundering. All of the old local regular musicians no longer will play there. Too bad, it’s a piece of Arlington history.

1st visit was last night. We were skeptical about it since it’s older kept on the inside, but I did like the way it was set up. It turned out to be great for us. Our server was amazing, food was really hot, fresh & great tasting. We tried the mozz sticks, side salads, chicken fried steak etc….and yes, the chicken fried steak is real beef, which I was happy about! Had a couple of drinks & they were good & strong. We will def come back for another visit to try more menu options.

It was my birthday and we did a cowgirl themed night... Because there was an event at the Globe Life Arena/Field it was hard to find parking, however we did find a reasonable priced garage to park into & the attendant was super nice and let me go for free since it was my birthday.. PBR was cool although they didn't serve food (we were hungry) the staff was very friendly and helpful they pointed us in the direction of of food venues and that was great news for us. There was no cover charge nor a fee to ride the mechanical bull and that was the whole reason for the birthday trip to the establishment and it was an awesome time, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it made for a very happy birthday night for me

I workout at the gym next door, and I have the daily pleasure of navigating the parking lot of broken beer bottles that come from this place and their patrons. Take some responsibility and clean up the parking lot from the mess your drunks leave. In response to your reply: You're the only establishment that serves alcohol in that complex. The gym's cleaning staff often cleans up the mess. Again, take some responsibility.

If I could give a zero star I would! I ordered a 30 piece wings to go! I asked for them to be well done just for me to get home and see that my wings were under cooked had so much feathers on them I couldn’t eat them and they weren’t tossed in the sauce! I called to speak to the manager named Aaron he was very nonchalant and didn’t care about the complaint he said I had to bring the order back after driving 20 min home! He said he couldn’t do anything unless I bring it back! I then drove back 20 min to return the order! Upon arriving he wasn’t apologetic not once all he said was you had to bring it back because people lie about their order which also means this is a common issue he wasn’t surprised at all ! Then he just refunded my money and walked off! I will NEVER EVER recommend this place and I don’t know how this person can be a manager of a whole restaurant!!

I honestly have nothing negative to say about this restaurant. This spot has to be on your most visit list if you’re in Arlington. If you’re looking for great food, great music or simply just a vibe. This is the place you want to be. When we enter the restaurant we were greeted by our waitress Sarah she immediately said us at a table and got us comfortable. She provided us with great drinks and food options and I must say the food here was a true creation. We ordered the lobster mac & cheese, oxtail egg rolls, and the fried catfish. The lobster mac & cheese had a Cajun twist to it not too spicy. It was just right. The oxtail egg rolls in the sauce was cooked to perfection. The fried catfish oh my gosh was the best. This catfish is a must try. Overall, the ambience was warm and inviting, just like the staff. We were also able to get a hookah which Cheyenne was well knowledgeable about it. She provided us with different flavors as well as showing us how to use it I will definitely be returning for another great evening. Thank you for evening full of memories

Jennifer Medina15 months ago

The manager named Roy is extremely rude. I accidentally left my phone in my car, and when I asked to go retrieve it, he refused and said he doesn’t allow people to go in and out. He even told me that if I left, I wouldn’t be allowed back in. However, shortly after, he allowed another woman to go to her car to get a sweater she had forgotten. This isn’t the first time Roy has been disrespectful—not just to me, but to other women as wel including the workers. His behavior is consistently unprofessional and unfair.

Booked at the Lux for a football game and decided to eat at their restaurant. Big mistake HUGE. Service was nonexistent. Waitress was overwhelmed though the place was practically empty. We were asked to pay for our food at the table when we ordered which already included a 7% service charge and additional gratuity for the waitress. Should have known that was a sign everything would be terrible. Sat for at least 25 minutes before even getting my watered down lemonade ($4.25) and another 35 minutes before getting my chicken BLT/fries ($20.99) which I first noticed came with pickles??? Since when does a BLT, which was advertised as chicken, bacon, lettuce, and tomato, come with pickles? Moving along..two bites in and I almost threw up from eating raw chicken. I mean completely RAW. Took another 25 minutes for the waitress to even come back to the table for me to notify her and ask for a refund. A "manager" then came to the table and didn't even look at my food. It took ANOTHER 20 minutes for a receipt to be printed to show I was getting a refund. The receipt provided to me had barely any info. I asked for the original itemized receipt (remember I already paid and money was deducted from my bank account) which I was told was not available. The mall cop trigger happy security officer told me to leave the premises or he would arrest me...for asking for a receipt! Terrible experience. Terrible food. Terrible people. Terrible management.
