Awesome experience! Enter through Moonshine and Hostess takes you through a gated basement to enter the speakeasy. Enjoyed listening to the history of the building/location, etc... Drinks were good but the experience/atmosphere was better.

Amazing selection! We went here Saturday this past week for our wedding anniversary, the guys there I think their names were Brian and Cameron, we’re so nice and very helpful. My husband is a big scotch guy and he was in heaven there! We had dinner upstairs so we didn’t try the food offered there but we heard good things. Romantic atmosphere, fantastic service, delicious drinks. 10/10

We accidentally ended up at In Plain Sight while looking for Here Nor There and what a happy accident it was! We met Chad, the bartender, and honestly, what a legend. We ended up staying for a few cocktails because he was such a great lad. Coming from Sydney, Australia, we thought we were spoilt for choice when it came to drinks, but the cocktails here were on a whole new level, smooth, balanced, and absolutely delicious. The bar itself is tiny (fits about 16 people), which makes for such an intimate, cozy experience. We even got chatting to a group of locals next to us. It’s such a rare and wonderful thing to walk into a bar and instantly feel part of a community. Chad really set the tone for that; his passion for what he does was just beautiful to see. If I ever make it back to Austin, I’ll 100% be back. Thanks for a fantastic night, Chad. It’s one we’ll remember for a lifetime!

Zanibar Is a 10/10 experience. They have the ambiance that you for looking for intimacy or with a group. The aesthetic set up is very pleasing to the eye. They are located at the perfect spot downtown as you can see the lady bird lake and also see the busy skyline of Downtown Austin. The servers were amazing. Steve helped us a-lot with celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday. They have a great selection of unique drinks and also a solid selection for food as well.

Located in the JW Marriott on the 5th floor around the corner from the pool. Their hours are 6-12am everyday. Hours may change when weather begins to cool down. On Sunday they have Sunday scary night where they have a selection of martinis for $10.00. I tried the Red Lotus for the first time, which was the bartenders special and it was DELICIOUS! Kellys the bartender and is top notch! Outside seating as well as bar seats. Nice cozy place to relax and enjoy drinks with friends. Highly recommend!!

Love love love!!! Growing up as female athletes we dreamed of a place like this! Here it is! The decor and design inside is amazing and inviting! We went to support a fundraiser and fell in love 🥰 We had three screens in front of us. One showing women’s rugby, one showing the longhorns game and one showing longhorns volleyball. I for one, was in heaven. lol Food was great as were the drinks (highly recommended the elote hushpuppies as well as the cinnamon roll bread pudding!) Met Debra who is one of the owners and she was very friendly and a pleasure to talk to! Will definitely be back when softball starts!

Had a great time here with my daughter! We really enjoyed the atmosphere and all the memorabilia on the walls… from stadium chairs, to softball league freebies, to roller derby posters. The burger was outstanding… thick and juicy and tasty! Flatbread pizza could use a bit more sauce, but it was good. Fries were excellent. We are looking forward to coming back!

The last one star review was left by someone who came out on the busiest night this place has ever seen, they were overwhelmed, I’ve been coming here for years and the bartenders here are the fastest in town even on busy nights. I came here for the first time new in town and not knowing anyone, they welcomed me with open arms and I made so many life long friends here. It’s the best place to see a show, but even when there’s no show it’s the best place to come and have a drink, listen to great music and enjoy the funky atmosphere. The owner is a wonderful person who has done the most to keep live music alive and accessible to people on a budget. The staff are the salt of the earth and are the hardest working people in town. As long as you are polite, friendly and respectful (which is how you should behave in any bar you go to) you will have a wonderful time and have excellent service. I’ve never felt safer in any other bar. It’s a treasure and a second home to me and many others. This bar and the local bands who play here are deserving of your support. If you want classic weird Austin, this the place to go.

Chris Tea52 years ago

This place is great! The bartenders were very kind, the crowd was having a blast, and there’s plenty of room to sit and visit both inside and outdoors. Wailin’ Storms was playing that night, the lighting and sound was perfect (check out the band cause they are REAL awesome). It was clean, no fights took place, just things running smoothly to create such a great vibe.. As for parking, you can park along the road- there’s no meters or tow signs. Excellent experience. Thank you so very much The Lost Well crew for the teamwork to keep this great venue going for us to enjoy.

Donn's Depot 4.7 (782)

**Donn’s Depot: A Timeless Honky Tonk Gem in Austin** Nestled on 5th Street in Austin, Donn’s Depot is a living relic of the city’s vibrant musical past, exuding an authentic honky tonk atmosphere that transports you straight to the 1980s. From the moment you step inside, the low lighting and neon signs glowing across the walls scream “Texas” in the most nostalgic way. This isn’t a polished, modern bar—it’s a dive with soul, where the spirit of old Austin thrives. The ambiance is unmatched, with weathered wooden floors and a cozy, slightly cluttered charm that feels like a friend’s living room—if that friend loved live music and cold beer. Speaking of beer, Donn’s serves it ice-cold, the kind of frosty that hits just right on a warm Texas night. The unmistakable aroma of freshly popped popcorn wafts through the air, a simple touch that evokes memories of my first honky tonk experience here and adds to the bar’s warm, welcoming vibe. Live music is the heartbeat of Donn’s Depot, with local country and blues acts taking the stage most nights. The dance floor, often packed with two-steppers of all ages, is a testament to the bar’s enduring appeal. The staff is friendly, the drinks are affordable, and the crowd is a mix of regulars and curious newcomers, all drawn to the unpretentious charm. Donn’s isn’t trying to be anything it’s not—with Christmas lights up all year round, it’s a time capsule, a place where Austin’s musical heritage lives on. For anyone craving a genuine honky tonk experience, Donn’s Depot is a must-visit. Just grab a cold one, snag some popcorn, and let the neon-lit nights sweep you away.

This little gem is pure Austin, Texas! It's the honky tonk that this native Texan hopes never loses its genuine vibe. The staff are the southern hospitality we all grew up with. The live music is the warmth in our blood. The aged wood (and carpet) flooring take you back to simpler times. It's an experience you don't want to miss!

Checked out Small Victory for a date night, and it was a great spot for drinks. The place is pretty small, so it’s perfect for couples or small groups, but not ideal for large parties. The cocktails were top-notch, and the atmosphere had that classic speakeasy feel. Only thing missing? Food! Would’ve loved some loaded nachos or snacks to go with the drinks, but maybe that’s just me. Parking was a bit tricky—street parking was tough, so I ended up using a public lot nearby. Overall, a great spot for a cozy night out!

I would highly recommend this for a date night or just a nice cocktail to enjoy.

Here Nor There offers a super cool and intentional experience. There's no signage out front, and you need to book ahead and receive a passcode to get into the alley where the entrance is. You're greeted at the door with a glass of prosecco, and shown to your seat. At the times I've gone, the menu was Texas themed, with drinks created to represent different places in Texas, along with accompanying illustrations. The cocktails were all presented beautifully, and some cocktails even have an interactive element served with them. The food is largely bar snacks - a bar mix, flatbread with dip, charcuterie, etc etc but it was all very good. I highly recommend the trio of tartlettes to end your night out on a sweet note. On top of all this, the staff on both of my visits have been wonderful, attentive, and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. This is definitely high on my list of places in Austin for a date night out.

Lived in Central Texas for 15 years and had my first visit at the Crown & Anchor today. Service was amazing with super friendly welcome. I’ve heard amazing things about their burgers so I ordered a cheeseburger. Honestly, it was okay. Not earth shattering or really anything to write about. I’m guessing if I had one at 2am after the bar, it would hit differently. Nothing really bad about it, just not memorable. Drinks were cold and cheap. Loved that along with the cool vibe here. Would totally recommend just because it’s one of the best dive bars in Austin. Must visit.

In an increasingly boring and corporate Austin, this place has stayed true to its roots as a local hangout. It’s an absolute hidden gem. I hope it never changes. Food is good, beer selection is surprisingly good, and you get a great mix of pretentious graduate students, yuppies from Hyde Park, bearded old hippies, random stragglers and more. Rating: 4.4/5 [dine in] Our friends wouldn't stop talking about Whisler's $0.75 martini summer special on Wednesdays from 4-7 PM, so we finally made time to check it out. We got there around 5:30 PM and luckily didn't have to wait in line to get in. They handed us two white drink tickets for the martinis when we walked in. The bar inside was packed, and the three bartenders were cranking out flights of martinis nonstop. We had to wait a bit to order and get our drinks, but everyone was chill and patient, so it wasn't bad. After we got our drinks, we headed outside to find a spot. All the tables were full, so sharing was pretty common. We noticed there was also an outdoor bar, which is where we grabbed our second round. The space outside is bigger, but the line moved a lot slower. The martini glasses were on the smaller side, but for $0.75, we weren't expecting much. Surprisingly, the drinks were not watered down so I can see why Martini Wednesdays is such a hit! Cosmo Martini: Not bad--just a little too syrupy and sweet for us. Espresso Martini: Tasty, strong but not overpowering, with a well-balanced flavor. Our friend liked it so much, he ended up ordering four in total that night!

Beautiful rooftop experience, especially as night fell. It was more of a small plate experience, set in outdoor lounge furniture - comfy but not supportive of you have a bad back. We stared oft with a cheese and corn based dip- esquites- with highly seasoned corn chips. It might have been the highlight. We tried tacos - barbacoa and chicken - both types were delicious. We also tried the la Leche cheesecake and the chocolate mousse. I didn't feel we went wrong with either choice. Service was OK. Could've been a little more attentive, especially since it wasn't busy the night we went. Her first comment was something like, " If you don't like what's on the menu, there's a restaurant downstairs. " Management presence was strong and welcoming, however. Oh- you have to stop at registration to get a key that will get you the elevator ride up to the 20th floor for this experience.

I love the vintage Christmas designs with the count down. The pizza spot next door is a great way to start, the ‘Pep & Ricotta’ is my absolute favorite. The spicy pepperoni and refreshing ricotta dollops with fresh basil, you can’t go wrong with a slice or a pie!

My absolute number one favorite bar in Austin and probably all Texas! Great atmosphere and super nice and fun staff! Always a fantastic time when you come here. Walls are so interesting with old Johnny Cash posters and art, stickers and stuff to talk about. Great merch too, get a hat or shirt!

Atmosphere is always awesome, def one of not number one fav bar in Austin, huge patio, huge! And always chill even when busy. Gabriel was great, made the weird drink request i asked for and chatted for a moment as i came in after work alone, cool to small talk with someone while unwinding, better than drinking alone! lol the other patrons seemed happy with Lauriel, i didn’t interact but she seemed to have a pleasant demeanor. Will always recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

That burger was impressive. So much flavor in the meat. Normally when you have a packed and loaded burger it’s just a mess but you could really taste the different ingredients in the poblano burger

Sara provided outstanding customer service. When I arrived, I mentioned that I had three children, and she went out of her way to find crayons so they could be entertained with the kids’ menu. She was incredibly sweet and attentive. My 7-year-old had a special request, and Sara accommodated it without any hesitation, ensuring he was happy. It’s rare these days to encounter someone so genuinely friendly and hospitable. She also offered great food recommendations and was very prompt throughout our visit. I highly recommend requesting Sara as your server — you will not be disappointed!

This place is absolutely wonderful in all the ways you would want a jazz music venue to be. Let's get to the basics: 1. The service is amazing, fast, and friendly 2. The music is of the utmost top quality professional musicians. 3. The location is easily accessible (as soon as all this construction downtown is finished) 4. The atmosphere is the best part about the whole facility. Dimly lit, not too crowded, and perfect for a date night. -The only reason I don't leave 5 stars is because no food. With food choices, I'll come back and update my review to 5 stars.

We went here to listen to A Thousand Horses band on a Thursday night. There is limited seating so if you need to sit, plan to arrive right when they open. The bar is enormous with lots of choices for alcohol but they add 20% to all tabs. They have a sign letting you know but just wanted to make you aware of it if you don’t see the signs above the bar. We did tip on top of that as I was unaware if that 20% went to the servers. Also, be aware that there may be a floor fan near the restroom closest to the stage. It’s black so when the lights are off it is hard to see. I saw it but my husband did not, tripped over it, and ended up on the floor! We paid to park in a parking garage around the corner with a short walk to the venue. We felt safe the entire walk. Overall this is a great small intimate venue to see your favorite band!

Any chance you get to go to Antone's, GO! My husband and I go to Antone's all the time; they have the best vibes, the best staff, and put on the best shows! When the opportunity came up to have our wedding here we JUMPED. Sierra, the Director of Events, was THE BEST to work with. She went above and beyond making sure she and her staff understood the exact vision for the night and worked with my planner to seamlessly execute vendor drop offs, set ups, and break downs. The entire staff worked so hard all night and their energy only added to our guests' party experience. I could not recommend Antone's enough - whether that is just for a concert or to host your own event. The iconic history of the venue seeps through the pores of the space and makes any time you are there the most special! Thank you Antone's for making my wedding the best day ever.

Fun, cool, welcoming bar with a big drink menu and kitchen open late. The rock theme extends from the decoration to the little record shop. They have bar seating, booths, tables, a shaded patio, and even an asshole section. Loved the loaded french fries and a native Texan lager. There is free parking on adjacent streets. It's within easy walking distance of so many other places on Cesar Chavez and a great addition to a night in East Austin.

This place really took me by surprise. I have always seen it but never been. We came on a Sunday around noon just when it started getting busy. We got seated right away and our server was really tentative. Our food came out quickly as well. I didn’t know Austin had a Louisiana-Texas inspired restaurant and we really liked our food! Getting Gumbo and Red Beans & Rice in Austin is really refreshing LOL everything we had was good. I want to come back and try the dinner menu!

The food was tasty and unique. It’s a very large area and they played a lot of Irish music, which was nice. The place atmosphere, wise-Just seems very conflicted about what they want. It’s Irish, but also very tropical. There is sawdust on the floor, which is very unique to the culture. However, you should really be aware of it. If you’re wearing nice and clothes it will track out with you. It’s walkable, from Congress. The jerk chicken was really good But the frozen coffee was average. The salads were average.

This place is DIVEY and VIBEY! What a great find. My friends and I were in town for my bachelorette party and we had just finished golfing at Butlers Pitch & Putt. We were looking at bars nearby to pop over to, and this was literally a 2 minute walk. As soon as we arrived, we loved the divey atmosphere, outdoor patio, food truck, and the staff was the friendliest we'd encountered all weekend! Based on location and style, I dont think this bar gets a ton of bachelorette parties haha, but wow, they treated us like queens, so celebratory for our special occasion. We are so glad we stumbled upon this place. It was perfect!

Drinks are definitely overpriced, small size. Honestly, happy hour is the only time it feels worth it. Bartender wasn’t the most welcoming, sadly! a smile would’ve made the experience better. The pool’s more for looks than lounging, it’s super shallow. And heads up! just snacks, no real food. To be real, I’d only come back for happy hour or a special event.

Midnight Cowboy is such a unique and unforgettable experience! The atmosphere is one-of-a-kind—intimate, cool, and perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a night of truly great cocktails. The drinks here are not just tasty but carefully crafted, with so much attention to detail. You can immediately tell the bartenders love what they do. One of the best parts is how special the whole experience feels. You do need to make a reservation in advance, and once you do, you get a secret entrance code to use at the door. It adds to the excitement and makes the night feel like something out of a movie. Our host was awesome and incredibly helpful, making sure we felt comfortable and guiding us through the menu if we had any questions. Overall, this is absolutely a must-visit in Austin if you want more than just a regular cocktail bar. Between the amazing drinks, the speakeasy vibes, and the thoughtful, welcoming service, Midnight Cowboy is easily one of my favorite spots in the city.

Expecting a firehouse but somehow ended up at a cute speakeasy where you enter through a bookcase in the wall? Just another regular Friday night in Austin. In all seriousness though, Firehouse is a decent speakeasy where half the fun is in taking photos at the sliding bookcase and the other half is after you wait about 20 minutes for your drinks. We ordered the passion fruit daiquiri and old fashioned (they couldn’t make a strawberry daiquiri variation, not sure if they couldn’t or wouldn’t). The drinks are good and strong but in a dimly lit speakeasy with a strange floor plan it never really felt worth the wait. There is sometimes live music which we unfortunately didn’t catch so there’s likely nights where the energy is much higher and you wouldn’t even notice. The speakeasy is on the far more accessible side (definitely not for parking, but it’s 6th so you should Uber anyways) which is good for those who want a casual find and might be fine with waiting for their drinks. It comes across as more of a lounge so be aware of that before expecting a lot of it. But in an area littered with other options, Firehouse feels a bit lacking. We’d recommend it as a warmup bar if you’re going out for a night on 6th but wouldn’t put it down as the highlight.

The most expensive drink Ive had in Austin. Ive been here a hand full of times and never had this happen. So I assume this review will only be relevant for a few months. I ordered a whiskey and water, then realized thats a drink and asked for the 2 drinks separately. The "bartender" pulls out a dixie cup and pours half an ounce of jack into the cup and says that will be $8. That's so bad I started wondering If this "bartender" had it out for me specifically and singled me out for some reason. Ive never seen that done in my life. I will definitely not be ordering any more drinks from here. The crowd around me beer's looked fine. So maybe this is more of a beer bar? Definitely the most out of ordinary experience Ive had with a bar so far.

No food here, so grab a bite before visiting. The ambience was great and the drinks were decent. The old fashioned was heavy on the syrup, but after adding a double shot it evened out. Espresso martini was just what the doctor ordered. Live music seemed like it would be good, but we had to leave before they started. Would come back, though, to try again! There's was a couple of corporate events happening so we didn't get to check out the 2nd story or rooftop.

Interesting location in a converted parking garage in a building owned by Comedor. Dimly lit with a speakeasy vibe. It's reminiscent of the Drunken Unicorn in Atlanta. The sound system playing jazz records could be louder. The drinks are strong and curated perfectly. A bit on a pricey side though. Reservations are highly recommended if not required.

We wanted a dive bar and we got it! Absolutely loved this spot. We stopped in on a Monday and it was pretty slow but we absolutely loved it. Our bartender, Miranda, was lovely and gave us a few tips on what to check out on our vacation. We had a few drinks and had a good time checking out the pictures on the wall that highlighted the good times had in the bar as well as the good times had by people wearing their Dirty/Sucio gear outside the bar. If you want to check out the worst gay bar in Austin you won’t be let down. Loved this place!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I haven’t had this much fun since college. The DJ (Nick?) was playing banger after banger, but the highlight was the service. All three bartenders on this night (5/3/2025) were nothing but nice. They were quick, and just great energy. Shout out Claudia because you made the night so smooth!

Love the decor but I think the prices are exorbitant! $20 for a drink pouch!? Have the bartender curate some drinks for you! Make it inspired! You all have a beautiful space but aren't utilizing it well. The tables in the middle of the floor are a bit awkward. Maybe arrange them concentrically for dancing and such? Think about the customer experience and not just the profit for the day! Wishing you all success!

Charleston Samuel3a year ago

Firstly, venue was well laid out, from the setup to the decor and also spacious to accommodate the good sized crowd that was there. The only thing that ruined (yes, ruined) the experience was the service, namely the bartending. Bartenders showed an inability to multitask and take orders for drinks, even when the bar wasn't very busy--maybe 6-7 people actually looking to order a drink. Other people including myself would kindly remark as they passed by that we had not been served or even acknowledged. Many walked away after waiting literally 15-20 minutes for a single drink order to be heard or taken. I myself waited about 10-15 minutes every time I went to order a drink, which became annoying quickly. It made me wonder if those same bartenders would even be adequate for a slow night. Hoping management sees this and understands there is no malice in my review, but I felt compelled to share my experience because I am a firm believer that ATX does* need diverse spaces, and XO Nightclub is a great venue in a ducked off location. As a future patron, it would be great to have more serious, competent, and urgent bartenders. God bless yall

Awesome Vibes & Great Service! Low Down Lounge is such a hidden gem in Austin! The vibe is super laid-back with a cool, retro feel that makes you want to hang out all night. Great music, cozy lighting, and a fun crow, just what you'd expect from the East Side. The drinks were spot on with different varieties. What really made the night stand out was the service, Lilah was our server and she was absolutely amazing. Super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. You could tell she genuinely cared about making it a great experience. Whether you're meeting friends, on a casual date, or just bar-hopping, I highly recommend stopping by. I’ll definitely be back soon!

The Low Down is a pretty cool place to have on your weekly rotation. I've been coming here for a while because their happy hour deals are pretty great ($2 beer and cheap shots brings me back), but they have some surprisingly good cocktails for a dive bar. The bar manager Alberto told me that he pretty much puts out new cocktails every month because he likes shaking things up and trying out new things. The atmosphere here is relaxed and welcoming, and it's a great place to chill with friends, play some pool, and watch throwback movies on the TV.

Visiting The White Horse in Austin was such an incredible experience and easily one of the highlights of my trip. This spot truly captures the heart and soul of Texas nightlife. From the moment I walked in, the energy was contagious — a mix of locals and visitors all coming together to enjoy a good time. The atmosphere is effortlessly cool, laid-back yet full of life, making it the perfect place to spend a night out. The live country music is without a doubt the star of the show. The bands that play here are phenomenal, delivering authentic sounds that make you want to hit the dance floor immediately. Whether you’re an experienced two-stepper or just watching from the sidelines, it’s impossible not to get swept up in the rhythm and vibe of the crowd. On top of the music, the drinks were excellent. The bartenders know how to mix strong, tasty cocktails, and the beer selection is spot on for a night of dancing and hanging out. Prices are very reasonable too, which only adds to the charm. Overall, The White Horse is more than just a bar — it’s an experience. Great music, great drinks, and an atmosphere that’s truly Austin. I can’t wait to go back.

Cute spot, the band was really good, the tacos outside are really yummy- I got the Al pastor (no onions) and veggie mushroom and potatoes. They were a good size and tasty. Had fried chicken here and wow, it was so good. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. You can really taste the love they put into it. The portions were generous, and everything came out hot and fresh. The place itself has a nice, friendly vibe, nothing fancy, just good food and good people. The staff were super welcoming and made sure everything was right. If you’re craving real fried chicken, this is the spot. Simple, delicious, and totally worth it.

Great draft beer selection. Service was crude and rough. Woman's restroom is inside but the men's is located on the outside corner like a outhouse. Kinda uncomfortable. The patio area is large and nice and the inside is cozy. If you wanted to watch a sports game like we did; would not recommend. The tvs are really small. Like our hotel room tv is bigger lol. Also would not recommend food. They got our Togo order completely wrong and the patty melt came on Wheat bread like what? Asked for loaded chili tots and fries and tots came dry and fries came with a thin sad layer of cheese and no chili or jalapeño. So if you go I would just suggest the nice draft beer selection.

I love Bender! Been coming here for years. Bender has consistently been a great go-to for good drinks & great food. They have a standard bar-style menu (burgers/fries/wings), with a few gourmet-ish options sprinkled in, and some vegetarian options. There's even a "chef-inspired off-menu" type of menu now. Everything I've tried has been decent. Always a good meeting spot, especially for larger groups. It has lots of outdoor space, a big arcade / game room area, and a chill vibe overall. It doesn't seem nearly as large as it actually is when viewed from the outside, but it's definitely worth checking out if you aren't already familiar with it!

Hard to get someone on the phone..show up, only 6 people in the building..3 of them employees..Ordered 15 wings and fries and 1 beer. $50. No problem, ill check my food before I head home..bag tied into a tight knot..no worries I love this place, surely it's all there..and it was.. but celery was old and translucent...Bleu cheese tasted like water and fries were rock hard.. OK not worth $50 anymore.. Used to be my go to spot for food..huge bummer...I'll try again next time.

This place was referred to me by a friend. What a cool place to hang out and have a great meal. Looks like a soccer game was happening and outside people were really enjoying it and singing. Our server was amazing. Our food was really good as well. The only complaint was the fish and chips. The batter fell off the fish when I was cutting it. It was a little over fried on the chips and fish. The corn beef and cabbage was spot on. Next time I think I'll try the Sheppard pie. Also, if you park in the garage they have a QR code on the door for 4 hours free parking. Awesome. We loved it here and look forward to coming back. Highly recommend. A good place to chill and have a great time.

The staff are wonderful and it has a good vibe. The performances were all great that evening. The men's bathroom though could be a bit less punk rock. No doors, communal urinal trough, and an unbelievable stench. To top it off the band merch table was about 10' away. Many piss filled patrons turned away after they beheld what awaited them and just tried to hold it. It was very memorable aspect. Good people and nice club vibe though.

I saw this place on YouTube as the top 10 haunted spots on Austin. I stopped in and had a draft IPA, a whiskey the bartender suggested, and some buffalo wings. They did my wings all drums which made me excited. The beer was ice cold and the whiskey did not disappoint. The wings were some of the best wings I've ever had! Bartender had a great sense of humor and the people were very friendly. Loved the atmosphere and the place was clean. If you are in the area it's definitely worth the visit. And no ghostly apparitions either, lol

Came here cuz one of my buddies picked it out. TVs were fine to catch sports. The fries were OK. The chicken fried chicken tasted like it was fried in old oil. The chicken skin was not crispy and very bland. The bacon wrapped wings tasted old and were just not good. The bathroom had this funky off putting smell, I had to walk 3 blocks to use the bathroom at 7/11. The appetizers cost the same as the entrees, so expect to spend $40-50. I definitely would not find myself coming back here again.

Ambiance: Speakeasy located through the waiter doors of a to-go spot called "Manny's" that features leopard print, upscale modern decor, and uniquely crafted cocktails. Yes, the cocktails are expensive. That said, they are super creative and worth it! I loved the "Oh So Jaded" matcha cocktail and their twist on an Old Fashioned was delicious. Friendly and knowledgeable bartenders. A bit hard to order when the bar is busy, but that's too be expected. Ideal spot for an intimate date night! We celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary and Powder Room was a perfect end spot for a night in Austin. No phones allowed! They literally lock up your phone and give you a key. We really liked that this created a more engaged atmosphere and no one was taking photos. Reservations for tables recommended! Somewhat busy on Saturday nights. Sneakers and shorts seemed to be allowed but definitely recommend dressing nice for the space.

No photos since we had to turn in our phones but it was worth it! Came here on a whim after a concert at ACL Live on a Tuesday evening and enjoyed the rest of our night in luxury! We tried 4 cocktails: The Beauregard, Garden Party, OH So Jaded, and the Cowboy Coffee. Each one was exceptionally well made and had unique flavor pallets. I have to say, the Oh So Jaded was our favorite. I'm a matcha snob and the way they honored matcha in this cocktail was divine! We loved the romantic and intimate vibe as we were seated along the wall on the cool wavy couches. It felt like we stepped into a vintage photo shoot just without the cameras. We also tried the tuna toastada and truffle fries. The toastada was amazing, especially of you like spicy and the fries were a classic! Loved this experience!

Great place to chill. My waitress Aracelly got my ice cold beer. I wish they had Michelob Gold. I mean all other clubs already have it. This place would be perfect if they carried it. All other tejano clubs in San Antonio, Houston and Austin are already carrying Michelob Gold. One could only wish. Lol

I really love this club! I’ve been several times for various occasions specifically a friend’s birthday (had a section) Halloween (section) and then at casual night out with my friends(section) I would say it is definitely better to know someone so you are able to take the VIP elevator! Quite an experience if not, you will have to walk up several flights of stairs, which is pretty exhausting after walking up and down west six! A more upscale club, great vibe. The interior design is really cool in love the led ceiling lights. The bartenders are ok, but I love when you get bottle service they have a drummer. He definitely sets the ambience! Typically there is a line if you don’t have a section, but it moves pretty quickly. Drinks are reasonable. I typically don’t even pay attention to the price because you have to pay to play. The music is more electronic and remixes. I always have a great time and if you’re feeling courageous jump on the stripper pole lol

Green Light Social was such a fun spot! The vibe was great, and one of the highlights of our night was the bartender, Alexis. She was super friendly, always smiling, and gave us great recommendations when we couldn’t decide on drinks. Her upbeat energy really made us feel welcome. It's been a few years since I've visited Barbarella. We stopped by on Friday, Sept. 19th for some 80s jams. Good selection of music however, the DJ is about as friendly as a porcupine. He has no personality and lacks people skills. Poor fella needs to cheer up. Don't ruin our Gen X jams with a pretentious DJ! Oh, and some tall bartender never bothered serving me. I told the other bartender and she apologized for the experience and bought me a shot to show her sincerity. She noticed he was by- passing me when he had no one else to serve.

OWNERS PLEASE TELL YOUR SERVERS TO ID! TABC IS NO JOKE! Genuinely horrible! This is not something I’ve ever actually done, but I truly feel an experience like this cannot go unheard. It was my first time there with my friends, and we were so excited. But the service we received was genuinely sad. Started at the bar and the girls working at 6 o’clock on Sunday (Sept. 28th) need to seriously be evaluated for how they talk to paying customers and the one and a half servers (one was still in training) covering 20 people. I don’t fault the new girl at all—this falls entirely on the “trained server” (cowboys shirt) and what I presume to be management?? Our entire table ordered drinks, and we either never received them, or they came out wrong and 40 minutes later. I ordered two frozen strawberry margaritas(only got one), 2 shots, and a burger. Also, for the owners to note—WE WERE NEVER ID’D. Keep in mind, we are a group of college students. Please remind your staff about this. When the bills came out, I knew they would be wrong. Why? Because I’ve been a server before, and I know how overwhelming it can be and mistakes can happen. But the way this team handled me correcting their mistake was HORRIFIC. I went up to the server stand to check the bill and noticed a drink we 100% did not order. I let her know nicely , and she gave me attitude, insisting that’s what we had ordered. I know for a fact my boyfriend wasn’t drinking a spicy margarita because we both hate jalapeños to our core—also I was the one ordering everything when they had insisted HE ordered it. Instead of simply correcting the mistake, the “management” then tried to go behind my back and get my boyfriend to blindly sign the check instead of coming to me directly and yes she walked right past me trying to pull a fast one. And when confronted she told me I was wrong and that she wasn’t voiding it and if you’re reading this and you know who you are COSTUMERS ARE NEVER IN THE WRONG! Completely unprofessional! The volleyball was great, and the place itself is nice, but the service was the worst I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. Owners, if you’re reading this, please take a second look at who you leave in charge of your business. Also please ID YOUR CUSTOMERS! TABC is no joke! It will cost you in the future if you don’t! We could’ve came here underage and nobody would’ve batted an eye. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll ever come back nor will the other 20 people who I came with and the people they tell about this experience…that’s a lot of lost business for a $10 margarita..and it’s solely because of one interaction—with the people you pay to represent you.

Aussie's in Austin, TX, is a well located chill place with a dive bar feel! With its fun, laid-back vibe and ample indoor and outdoor seating, it's the perfect spot to unwind. The boneless wings, especially the buffalo ones, are a solid choice for satisfying your cravings. Plus, the drinks are both delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall enjoyment. Kingdom on E 7th Street is a must-visit for anyone craving a legit dance party in Austin. The vibe hits just right—sexy, dim lighting that sets the mood without being over-the-top. The sound system is a total standout; it’s loud, clear, and has that bass you feel in your chest, perfect for losing yourself in the music. They consistently book killer DJs who keep the energy high and the dance floor packed. Staff is genuinely friendly, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The drinks? I had a great time at Shenanigans. The vibe is laid-back and fun, with plenty of things to do like karaoke, pool, and darts. Drinks are reasonably priced compared to other bars in town, which makes it a nice spot for hanging out with friends without breaking the bank. The crowd feels local and welcoming, which adds to the charm. Service can be a little hit or miss depending on the night, but overall it’s a solid place to relax and enjoy the evening.

I recently found out that they re-felt their tables once every year, which happened to be April 7th of this year (2025). Rating: 3/5 This place always caught my eye whenever we walked by, so I was excited when one of the SXSW events we attended ended up being here. Upon check-in, we received a free drink ticket and headed straight to the bar, which wasn't busy. We ordered an AMF and a Long Island, but both were light and thrown together—similar to what you'd get at a club. Out back, the line for food curved near the entryway, making it hard to tell where it ended. A staff member had to be stationed there just to manage the crowd. The sound quality was also terrible—we couldn't hear anything from the back. To make matters worse, they played music while the speakers were talking, making it even harder to follow. Overall, Parlor & Yard was not a great venue for this event, and I wouldn’t come back for the drinks either.

Great place to go clubbing, but drinks are way overpriced. The bartenders are nice, but I can’t justify paying almost $40 for two little shots that aren’t premium liquor. It’s crowded and some areas reek of fluids. The overall vibe is pretty nice, they play a lot of Mexican music if you’re into that. Lots of security patrolling the area which I appreciate a lot. If you're in the Austin area looking for a bar to hangout at. I would highly advise AGAINST the side bar. Food is reasonable and the atmosphere is like any other spot in Austin. For the regular person this could be a good choice, but I fair warn against a specific bartender that was working this past Friday. My group and myself had to leave because we were asked to without much reasoning. All the other bartenders seemed quite cool and socialable, but this individual must have something against the world, due to the lack of service, no conversation and the outright dissspointment of being forced to look for another spot, only because this bartender may have been having a bad day. As i said, chill spot, good drinks and seating, but if you're looking for a warm welcome and good service, i highly recommend you choose another spot.

This place takes you back to the dance club era of the 90s n 2000s. Some bartenders we went to can be impatient, and we noticed they dont use the shot glass to be accurate with their mixology. The dj is definitely bipolar ( good thing), but warning, it's freakin LOUD inside the dance club. We noticed they do not enforce a dress code (not good), and front door security do not check Patrons with a metal detector (not good). The beers are on the semi room temperature spectrum. The entertainers performed great. The outside rooftop is lovely. The dance floor could be better without the vip sections that are basically mostly guys just standing there and just pretending to be "loaded.""

Be careful because the bouncers are. We went down the street to eat dominos pizza and when we tried to enter again (30 min later), the bouncer proceeded to accuse one of our parties she was too drunk when we had other girls within our group take off her shoes and he deemed her ok to enter. Be careful when trying to enter; u have a 50/50 chance depending on your skin color.

We visited Rodeo Night Club in Austin during our trip and attended on both Friday and Saturday nights. Friday Night: A fight broke out near the bar, and it took security a few minutes to intervene, which was concerning. Saturday Night: The club was crowded, and while we enjoyed dancing, an individual began directing unprovoked insults at my husband. Security promptly intervened, and the person was escorted out by police. However, we later learned from friends who stayed that the same individual was allowed back in and continued to cause disturbances. After we left, we noticed that some of this individual’s friends followed us into the parking lot and approached our truck. This was a very frightening experience and raised serious concerns about the club’s security measures. While the music and atmosphere were enjoyable, the repeated disturbances and safety concerns overshadowed our experience. We hope the club takes steps to ensure a safer environment for all patrons.
