Love coming here on the different times of theme days. Karaoke nights on Monday's with Hunter are the absolute blast! Cole and Cody are the most awesome bartenders ever! Need a cool quaint but most respectable place? Go to The Boiled Owl Tavern. If you are a negative attitude leave it at the door!!
Had a bad experience once, feel like this place has gotten way better :), last couple times I've visited has been great. Bartenders are nice and the people? Great!! If you like divebars with good service and an amazing atmosphere, you'll love it at the owl. Thanks to the owner for making this place so great :).
My favorite bar in Fort Worth. Great music, great atmosphere, great booze. Special shout out to Cole and Kevin, you had me laughing my ass off. Awesome service.
Dear boiled owl, I came here for Drinks Saturday night. Band was awesome, beer was good except one thing. I tipped for my first two beers and on my third I forgot accidentally. Lead Bartender / owner came and took my beer from my hand and shoved my money back into my hand and I was told “We work for tips. We won’t be serving you anymore.” The beer was poured down the drain. I didn’t understand what happened so approached the bar to figure it out. I was told “You didn’t tip.” I proceeded to stiff 5 dollars in the tip jar anyways. I guess I’m just disappointed. Boiled Owl is a Fort Worth institution and it’s true. You won’t me serving me anymore…… because I won’t be coming back. When tipping is not a choice is demanded, expected and you will be punished for not doing so…… Welp guess you should have signs that say that so people know. I hope it was worth it for you.
This has been a classic spot throughout my life, i would recommend all of my homies come and check it out. Even if you are not my homie come and grab a spot. It’s in the center of a historic neighborhood and you never know what you will end up getting yourself into.
