Wow...what a spot! It's like chilling in your own living room in downtown Montpelier, with great tunes, drinks, company, and decor. Chris will keep the party going depending on the size of your crew, and we had an absolute blast here and will be back for sure. Jazz bar, but also 80s, you name it. It's a reference level LP collection. Drink options are wind and beer, but it works in pinch. The cat is a nice touch.

Incredible music, a fun and classy atmosphere, and a delicious selection of beverages - this spot is a gem! Japanophiles in particular will enjoy the bartender and the ornamentation. A great addition to the downtown scene.

Amazing spot with excellent cocktails. Extremely friendly staff. Be sure to take the tour. Ample seating inside and out with free parking. Loved our visit and will definitely be back again.

Visiting from Florida and so glad we came! We did the distillery tour with family and it was one of the best distillery tour experiences I’ve had. The host, Roger, was excellent. We sampled several different spirits and learned a lot about the process and history of distilling in the Vermont region. After the tour our group of 6 had snacks and cocktails outside. The food and drinks were great and we enjoyed the view. I definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting the Montpelier area.

There was live music outside when we arrived. Even so there was adequate parking. Beer selection is great and regularly updated. Flights are available and service is great! You can't beat the view of the river.

Our favorite little neighborhood beer hall. Unfortunately we live 500 miles away but always make it a point to go here. Great little seating area outback along the river always nice people around the bar inside. Also always great staff.

This was the second time we had lunch here and it exceeded my expectations again. The food was absolutely amazing! My mouth starts watering just thinking about that delicious sandwich I had. And the tater tots were the best ones I’ve ever had. I think it’s absolutely amazing what a wide variety of beers they have and also how they have different food specials. This time I had some sort of steak sandwich. Best sandwich ever! Last time I had the grilled tuna sandwich and that was also on point. I absolutely love this place!

Had a great experience at Three Penny. Medium-size spot with bar on one side and dining room on the other. Food was delicious, fresh ingredients and cooked exactly right. We had the Crispy Oyster Mushrooms (pickled veggies that came with this were incredible), Creamy Tomato & Garlic Soup (great for dipping mushrooms in), Farmer's Salad, and Nice Tuna Salad. Everything was perfect and would highly recommend. Also, tap list is very well done with lots of VT options. Had a Hill Farmstead stout that went with meal perfectly. Go here if in Montpelier!

The food was absolutely amazing. And they had a great beer selection. I had been here before for fish and chips which were great but I had to come back again and try a few more things. We got the broccoli, the lobster roll, an order of French fries and the firecracker shrimp. Everything was spectacular and the portions were massive. I cannot wait to stop here again - its definitely my new go to spot in Montpelier.

This was the only busy place in the downtown area of Montpelier. This is a seat yourself place. The server was amazing (Valerie). The food took a little of a wait, we had two burgers and sides. The fries for me was the best part, the fries were amazing. My husband loved his burger , he added cheese and bacon.

Nice place for nice people, not sure what everyone’s talking about in the reviews. Had a great time here

Honestly insane experience. Got cut off after one beer because the bartender “didn’t feel comfortable serving” because my group and I were too enthusiastic” (AKA playing pool and enjoying karaoke). Don’t work at a bar if you can’t handle people having fun.

I didn’t have dinner. I went for drinks and dessert. Sat in the bar area and the bartender was awesome. Drinks were cold and the dessert was sweet. I have the strawberry shortcake and felt it was over baked. The ambiance was cool as the light fixtures reminded me of the Atlantis in the Bahamas. Ask for the train to be turned on.

We stopped here for breakfast (7-10:30a): the steak & eggs breakfast was perfect, as was the Full breakfast. Service was very good.
