Man what a place to randomly walk into. shout out to Sam, Mia, and everyone who made a random traveler feel so welcome. Great drinks on top of that, excellent bartender. Bring a welcoming attitude or keep walking, because this place needs to be preserved as it is. The best bartenders list in the world goes as follows: 1. Ana 2. Everyone else
If I could rate higher I would’ve given them a 20/5. Excellent drinks, excellent service, amazing atmosphere cultivated by the most humble and respectful people I’ve met in Huntington. Bring your friends and come to bingo!
This place was definitely an adventure! First off I've never been to a lounge before, you had to go into the back entrance and through an elevator to get there! The rooftop section and the inside were really awesome places to rest up, talk and have some drinks! The drinks we had were awesome and the wait staff was super friendly! The real reason we went though was because we saw online that they had a truffle menu.. so me and the partner had to go! But when we got there we did not see these on the menu anywhere so we got our drinks and left. I do not blame after seeing the menu picture online was from 3 years ago. If you like this type of atmosphere this is a great place to drink and chill!
The owners are great, beverages are on point and cost effective. The ambiemce is top notch! If you like charcuterie boards or pizza rolls they have a small but great selection! I have some food allergies and they were cool with us door dashing our food while we had drinks and played cards by the fire pit. Whether its a date night, solo book reading nook or fun with friends this is a roof top treasure in Huntington!
Great service, solid beer selection, always a fun time. They also have a very nice spacious outdoor area to hang out.
Varied selection of craft beer with a good amount of WV-brewed options. Got a couple sizing options in nontraditional sizes (9oz, for instance) and interesting glassware to put it in. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere that was kind of like a moody urban cafe. Surprised they had no outlets on the floor for customers who might want to do laptop work/charge something there, but they let me charge my phone before the bar, which was super nice. Right in Downtown, so the location was great, of course. Pricing was normal for craft. Came here twice in one night, I liked it so much!
Had an absolute blast at Sip! They have incredible drinks, and the staff is even better! Lala will help you create completely custom drinks. Also had the best espresso martini I’ve ever had. The drinks are high quality, and it’s just generally an incredible atmosphere! Highly recommend.
Every time we visit Sip, I wonder why we don't eat here more often. The food, service, and ambiance are always top-notch. I really appreciate a place where the owner makes rounds through the dining area interacting with guests. They offer wine and bourbon flights for reasonable prices. They also feature some local beers on tap. For a quality dining experience in Huntington, Sip is easily one of the best places in town.
All I asked is if it was a younger or older crowd that goes to this bar because I am from out of town. The person who picked up the phone made it a very big deal and spoke rudely then hung up. It’s a simple not offending question. What a weird person you are
Was going to go to The Peddler. But it was closed. We looked for another bar, and this one came up on my search. So we stopped in, place was absolutely awesome. Bartenders were great, food was awesome, prices was reasonable. So glad we discovered this place. We will definitely will be back
Love everyone who works here great place to gamble with good people.
Nice little place. Friendly staff and good selection of games and machines
Great service. Really friendly people. Lots of fun
This is my go to bar.. good tunes.. ice cold beer and best burgers in town… don’t like burgers?? They have steak fridays they have an amazing bbq chicken. Fries!?? Amazing! I mean I come here to get lit and fat!
My company held a celebration with 30-35 people at Old North Arcade in late July...and it was great! Love the setup. Very cool place. Great drinks, great service, great food (Rocky Top Pizza - on-site). The games I personally tried all worked well especially considering their age. We had a Giant Jenga tournament on the patio. Couldn't have been happier. I would happily recommend anyone reach out to schedule an event here. I'm nearly an hour away, but I plan on making time to swing by when I find myself in Huntington again.
Awesome atmosphere, this place is nerd heaven. Great fun drinks, good selection of beer on tap but you really want to come here for the cocktails. Pizza is incredible, and the cherry on top is the arcade is all free (minus the pinball machines) and the game selection is awesome. A few dozen original machines from the 80s (Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Burger Time etc) all the arcade staples are here.
Upbeat American brewpub featuring lots of craft beer to go with burgers, steaks & sandwiches.
We had never been here before, nor did we know that it even existed! Went for a friend's birthday and it definitely did the job! They accommodated 12 people very quickly and professionally! The staff was super friendly and helpful for first timers like us. The drinks came out excellent (I recommend the blueberry cider if you can have alcohol) and the food was hot, fresh and delicious!! Will definitely be going back very soon!
Best burgers in the area. The mac and cheese is delicious. Extensive beer list and cocktails. Friendly, attentive service. And they had Mountain Dew, which my husband appreciated.
Great bar. Real cool urban vibe, has a back patio that’s smoking friendly, pool table, and multiple different dart boards. Bartenders aren’t pushovers, and they will look out for those who can’t look out for themselves. Drinks aren’t the strongest, not weak either- but it’s plenty enough to get you where you want to be. I thought they were blended perfectly. 6-7 bucks per mixed drink which is reasonable for most bars nowadays. Street parking is on the meter, but there is a parking lot across the street from the bar you can use. Don’t let the bad reviews scare you. It doesn’t smell bad, and it’s not violent. Everyone complaining about this place in reviews is just a pussy. It’s a dive bar, baby! This is what dive bars consist of. There’s one in every crowd that likes to get rowdy. But trust the bar is equipped to handle the biggest of problems. Have a good time!
Great place. Very friendly and cozy place to just hang out. Owner even came over and introduced himself.
This was my first visit to the Union. The owner was very nice, but the 3 girls that were bartenders seemed to be new or standoffish. The owner seemed to be doing most of the work and interacting with customers. I went here with the intention of having a drink and getting food. After ordering a drink, I asked one of the female bartenders for a menu, and she informed me that they don't serve food. We were disappointed considering the name say Pub and Grill.
Wouldn't give it 1 star. The website says they serve food. So we wanted to try something different. We walk in the floors are very sticky, it smells like straight liquor (it's a bar so it's expected) & no one even spoke to us. My husband asks about where to sit & order something to eat & the bartender says we don't serve food here. So we took our business elsewhere. Website needs updated. Didn't like the decor. The only thing I did like was the music that they had on there.
It's way smaller inside than expected. Not worth the cover charge.
This is not a safe environment. Whoever the owner/management is, does not care about the well-being of its customers and satisfaction is out of the question. The line outside of the door is a free-for all and all of the local thugs that cause problems inside of the bar will make their own line. Do the people who cut into like spend money inside of the bar? Absolutely not. They scare the women away and harass people trying to use the restroom. Last weekend a group of men threatened to shoot me over because they wanted to use the bathroom before me. The upper-portion of the building has been closed off but occupancy still stays the same which leads to a more crowded building. People push, shove, and fight because of this and hostility begins at the front door. Imagine spending $10 to get into such a place. Sharkeys embodies every negative stigma that comes to mind when envisioning Huntington. I have nothing positive to say about this place unfortunately. DANGER. STAY AWAY.
