We loved our experience at the Melvin Dojo! If you find yourself in Jackson and are a beer lover, definitely check this place out! Great music playing, amazing beer, and a super cool atmosphere right on the square. I would highly recommend!
We started our reunion weekend at Code Red. The atmosphere was cool and our server was friendly and timely. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. I, however, wished that my burrito had a little more flavor. It was quite bland to me. My flight of shots was interesting. The last two shots of the flight were hot! Sucking on a piece of lime before and after the shot really helped.

AUTHENTIC Mexican food! The Pozole was incredible. I also had an Elk carne asada taco that was one of the best tacos I've ever had. I also had the guacamole because it was so unique I couldn't help myself.. it came with bacon, cilantro, pomegranate, and queso (which I had them hold). Also, a red and green sauce that was fire. Pozole was unlike anything I've ever had, but incredibly delicious, and I will absolutely seek it out again. Emre was our server, and he was super cool and friendly. Actually, all the service was excellent! The atmosphere was comfortable but cool, electric, and unique. We totally found this place by accident, but I am 100% thankful we did - I'd love to come back! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals- they also have great drink specials starting at 3pm. And regular hours they have a shot of bullit and a beer for like $11 or $12. I think the taco was like $5 a la carte and the Pozole about $17. Very filling! Would highly recommend. Great outdoor seating as well.
Julian was our server/bartender. He’s a great conversationalist and was highly engaging. I highly suggest the KFC Bao Buns! Great place. Fast service too.
