This rustic-style watering hole in a 1918 dairy barn features a classic pub menu & sports on TV.
I had a great time at this chill local bar that's perfect for adults looking to relax and try something new. The vibe was super nostalgic, the service was friendly, and everything from the creative drinks to the tasty hotdog totally hit the spot.
It's a cute dive. Good service, decent bar food. The layout is unique and interesting inside. I genuinely would have loved to make it my after-work hang out. But while sitting at the bar after eating some delicious bottle caps and on my second beer from a dirty glass, two different cockroaches came and chilled at the bar on the back bar rail with me and my friend.
The food is top notch! The music is rocking, the staff is friendly, the soundman is a consummate professional, and the doorman is rad! He's the friendliest dude ever, but he handles business when there's business to be handled. You definitely feel safe with him around. And they treat their musical acts really well. If you're looking for some upscale nose in the air wine spritzer bs, no dice for you. If you're looking for a good fun time, hit this place up!
Its way too hot, crowded & loud. The only thing I loved about this place was the artist Roger Pop. He made the visit pleasant with fun stories & good conversation. What a Sweet soul. Thanks for drawing me Roger🙏🏽
This bar used to embody the true spirit of Tempe City of the Arts. They have some deteriorating murals that reflect the spirit of the overall bar itself. The owner put it best when I asked them: We make more money selling drink to frat boys and college students. They tore down their stage to build a second bar and yet what is there to do in this ruin? Nothing, the music is lacking, drinks are light( even when you're the only customer) and there is zero to do or look at. Forget ordering food, I'm waiting for the health inspection shoe to drop. Theyve been in the news lately, for letting in 175 underage students into the bar. So forget culture, a piano man at the bar, this dive is headed for the deep end and the sharks are swirling. Maybe try some listening to the community surrounding your bar and not underage fiends.
