Cozy, popular lounge with themed tanks above the bar where mermaid-costumed women swim at set times.
This place is everything you want in a dive bar and more. Chris from security was phenomenal and so welcoming! The drinks are great, and the atmosphere is unique and not like anything you’d find elsewhere. The staff goes above and beyond. I left my wallet on the bar and one of the bartenders, Celeste, brought it back to me! This place is a must do when in the area.
Literally stumbled upon this Dive Bar while visiting Sacramento for the weekend and I must say this place is absolutely amazing. One of the coolest bars and definitely the coolest dive bar.
This was a pretty cool bar. The mermaid show was cool. Drinks were good, but as the night went on and the first mermaid came out, the security was taking chairs away from the bar and the bouncer very rudely told my friend to get off her stool. He was taking it. He was very rude about it. He could have asked nicely to have the chair, instead he confronted my friend and he called her names. So disappointed with the security there. Beware of security at this bar.
I'm giving this place five stars but it should really be four because of false advertising. They claim to have a live mermaid. The "live mermaid" is in fact a very convincing actress in a mermaid costume - not a human-fish hybrid as implied. I know this because I saw her come out of the tank and breath air, just like a regular human person does. Edit: thank you so much to the management of this establishment for clearing up this misunderstanding, I can't wait to be back next time I'm in Sacramento
Never in my life would I think I’d be watching a half naked man blowing me kisses from an aquarium but here we are. This is a 10/10 nightclub. Not too packed and plenty of bartenders to keep people from waiting. Only a $10 entrance fee which is super cheap.
